The “sales manager” Tajiri was very rude and unprofessional. I came in the store at 8:00 PM. They close at 9, as I continued to walk around the store Tariji urged us she will be closing soon. We asked doesn’t the store close at 9? And she said “well I’m closing early”. We returned a few days later to purchase and she asked “are you actually going to buy today”? Very rude , nasty, unprofessional, and discriminatory.

Horrible customer service. Mom bought a kitchen table a few years back and immediately we had problems with the chairs. We tried to get it serviced and fixed and they claimed they had only one person in jersey to come and fix the chairs and they were never available. How is that possible when the store is in queens? You only have 1 person that travels to fix any problem you have?They made it so hard for the customer to get the chairs fixed within the time frame allowed. Needless to say the chairs to the kitchen set are always loose. When you pay 600 dollars for a kitchen table service should be better. Not such a great place after all.

DO NOT BUY ANY FURNITURE FROM ASHLEY. If I could give 0 stars I would. The furniture is garbage, it won’t last more than a year, it will barely last a year before it starts falling apart. DO NOT BUY THEIR WARRANTY, as it will only cover accidental damage such as spills and you will essentially be wasting your money if anything else happens to your furniture as they will not fix it ! They will tell you they are a 3rd party and that you will need to contact Ashley. Anything over 1 year Ashley will not cover! Buy furniture from a better furniture company that sells furniture that is worth the price. Stay away!!!

Kind and very patient.

It has taken me a while to write this post. I went into Ashley excited to get my new couch. I was told about the price and the 169 fee for it not fitting through my door. Which I was in total agreement. Then the paper work started. I applied for the financing all that went through quickly and without a problem. But then I spent 2 and a half hours there because of various reasons. One was because they needed some kind of code and all of the managers and operations manager that they called either did not answer or did not know what to do. Then after about the second hour, the manager who was there says " oh it looks like this is going to need the 169 assembly fee twice because it's two pieces". They then said they would let know for sure the next day. No one ever told me, not that time or, the previous time that I would have to pay the 169 fee twice. Had I known that I would've taken my time and shopped around. The next day an assistant manager called me and she was VERY rude. I don't remember her name I know she had a short cut. She told me, I infact was going to have to pay the fee twice. And I told her I would not have agreed to buy the couch had I known that upfront, and I was not sure if I still wanted the couch. She then said "well you already applied for financing so it's going to be difficult to get a couch anywhere else". It was rude and honestly very DISGUSTING. She was rude and she was very disgusting. Ashley furniture is a huge corporation and they could've waived on of those fees for my inconvenience of 1. Spending 2 and a half hours there on a Thursday after work and 2. Not telling me upfront about the fee being charged twice. I went ahead and continued with the order because my husband wanted the couch. Honestly I regret it and will NEVER be shopping at this Ashley's again. Customer service is NOT their number 1 priority. I worked in customer service and stores for many years and I know for a fact that Ashley's could've definitely compensated me for my inconvenience. To add fuel to the fire they offered to give me 12 month financing instead of 6. I'll be done paying it in 4 or less so I did not need the financing. Stay away from this store the managers are DISGUSTING and do not care about their customers. I finally moved into my new home and was so excited to buy my new couch this location and their managers made my experience terrible and honestly whenever I look at the couch I'm reminded of it. Stay far away from this place. Their sales people however are AMAZING! Jojo was AMAZING and is the ONLY reason I bought from this store and did not go to the green acres location to order the same couch. I and my family have ordered many things from Raymour and Flanigan and they go above and beyond to make their customers happy. I will be paying off this couch then giving it away. I'm so disgusted my this place and how they run business. Do yourself the favor and do not shop here. Raymour's quality is much better anyway..trust me!

The stuff is very rude and unprofessional. I was with a kid who was playing around with armchair and the customer assistant with an unpleasant tone told me to watch my kid. I was interested in buying a sofa and the assistant told me its available immediately, then passed me over to her colleague. We spent 30 mins double checking the measurements, elevator size, color, policy protections etc. In the end when I was about to order she told me that the sofa will be available in a month. She just shrugged when I mentioned her colleague saying the opposite info It’s been a while since I saw that attitude to customers. Extremely disappointed.

If there is an option for a zero star I would definitely give 0 star. The lady Richa who helped me actually she didn’t even helped, she was looking down on me when I mentioned her that I am looking for a sofa under 1000$ she laughed and then was trying to sell me breakdown services of 169$ saying the sofa won’t fit in my house. And then I decided to buy a sofa which was around 600$ but then she was nowhere to be seen, she was helping other customer which was fine but I believe she has to finish with me first and then she can help other customer. I was so disappointed and I walked out and ordered online. I would never go back to this store.

The Store itself is set up rather nicely, but the pricing in store versus on line is a rather a big difference. I was helped by the store manager Richa. At first she seemed nice but when I price matched and denied protection services she completely changed her attitude, she was so rude and no longer welcoming, all because I did not want to purchase according to her terms. At the very end she didn’t even walk us to the door or say goodbye she had an associate walk us out another exit in the back of the store. Like my purchase wasn’t good enough and I don’t deserve to exit the main entrance. I’m close to canceling the order and purchasing at another kinder Ashley. Customer service is everything, and I did not get that here.

What a wonderful experience! I have shopped at Ashley’s a few times now and I am never disappointed. Ahlan helped us along with other lady and they were just so patient and took their time and I did not seemed pressured but more reassured in our purchase. I visited this location in August and was approached by an associate named Vauda Flint. She was very nice at the time - told me she was fresh from Charlotte, N.C, and also working in real estate to help to support her children. She offered her social media info and followed me on IG which I figured was strange but harmless. However, a few weeks ago, completely out of the blue, she posted a negative comment on an IG conversation I was having with someone unrelated, putting clown emojis and weaponizing my personal info by saying I “wasn't even from NYC”, (something I shared during our interaction at the store). It was just weird behavior because I am not friends with this woman, nor have I ever engaged with her online (or offline outside of furniture talk at this store). She kept going even after I removed her as a follower and tried to keep it lighthearted. Because of that, it’ll feel unsettling for me to shop here again. Be careful sharing your socials with associates at this store.

I have been contacting them for about three weeks now without any headway. I have not used my bed for three weeks. They got back to me today saying they were sorry and there is nothing they can do. For me what they did is deception because you displayed something and delivered a different thing.whatever I will do to get the issue addressed I will.

This is really sad because I usually don’t write reviews or dare to take money out of someone’s pockets or food out of their mouth. Let me start by saying this review is not towards Hector at all. He is actually one of the most genuine human beings I have ever met. I realized the others just want to make a quick buck. They do not care about you. Once they got your money and they made a sale and get their commission, they automatically have a “who gives a damn about the customer” attitude. No one returns your phone calls or texts (I have proof). First of all I felt uncomfortable by the stares I was getting from some of the employees in the store. I brought a furniture bed set for my mom and Hector was sweet enough to deliver it for her. I ordered two mattress. One for me and one for my mother. I got promised word that they would come “early”. My building only allows delivery from 1:00pm-4:00pm. THEY LITERALLY TOLD ME THEY WERE GOING TO DELIVER MY FURNITURE BETWEEN 1:00pm-4:00pm BECAUSE THEY HAVE TO RESPECT MY BUILDING TIME WINDOW. I was told they were coming early to deliver my mattress. I called customer service (not someone from the store) at 3:50pm and they said they spoke to the driver and that they’re in front of my building. I rushed downstairs at 3:54pm in which they were not even downstairs. THEY SHOWED UP AT 4:16PM WITH BOTH MATTRESSES AND I HAD TO END UP PAYING $100.00 FEE FOR INCONVENIENCE FOR THE OTHER TENANTS BECAUSE THEY DELIVERED MY MATTRESSES PASSED THE RESPECTED TIME WINDOW. THE DELIVERY GUYS HAD EVEN THE NERVE TO WAIT FOR A TIP! I had order a mattress cover which is on my receipt and NEVER even received it. At this point, I just want a refund for it. I really don’t want to go back to this store. When it comes to me your word is everything. This store does not stay true to their word. Only Hector did. Just be prepared to walk in a store where there is wolves in sheep’s clothing. I thought I would have a good experience but no I didn’t. I feel lied to for some money. There was no honesty. I know everyone needs money but I wouldn’t act genuine and then lie to people just to get it. I will be spreading word. UPDATE: I ORDERED A MATTRESS COVER IN WHICH I HAVE PROOF I NEVER RECEIVED. I HAVE A VOICEMAIL OF THEM OFFERING ME A REFUND AND ITS THE NEW YEAR AND I STILL NEVER RECEIVED A REFUND OR AN UPDATED RECEIPT. I JUST REALLY FEEL SCAMMED.

He took his time to thoroughly help us find a sofa, answer questions and even though we needed the item shipped to DC (which they can’t do from the NYC stores) Andre still took his time to show us sofas and reminded me to take pictures of the model so that we could order it online or find in another Ashley store near DC. I really appreciated his time. I’m sure they work on some sort of commission and yet, he was genuine, helpful and I will go back to shop for other pieces and tell my family who lives near about the good customer service we received. Today I came with a friend to the Ashley furniture on Cooper Ave in Queens. He was looking for a mattress and bed slats for his mom. As soon as we walked in the store we were greeted by a sale associate Andre. Andre was courteous, knowledgeable and in our case very patient. He took his time showing us around the store and how the different bed operates. My friend ended up buying a bed for himself. Andre made sure he was satisfied with his purchase. My experience at Ashley’s was wonderful. Vauda Flint was the person who helped me and she was wonderful even my 10 year old loved her. He refused to shop anywhere else because he said every else was rude. She was pleasant to speak with, helpful with picking furniture and colors I wanted and patient (I take forever to decide). She gave me enough space to tour the place but was always attentively close by. I had forgot to take pictures before I left on Sunday and I texted her and she personally created a portfolio of products I wanted last min over night and sent texted it to me. She was the best sale associates I’ve ever encountered and the main reason I bought my furniture at Ashley’s on Copper St in Brooklyn.

Terrible Experience with Ashley's Furniture I regret to say that our experience with Ashley's Furniture has been nothing short of disappointing. Despite assurances regarding the restuffing of our couch, we were blatantly misled. Not only were we unable to locate replacement parts for damaged sections, but the fact that the couch has been discontinued made matters even worse. Despite investing in a supposedly comprehensive 5-year warranty, it feels utterly worthless given the lack of support when we needed it most. This experience has left us deeply dissatisfied and disillusioned. We cannot in good conscience recommend Ashley's Furniture to anyone after this ordeal.

They will lie to make a sell saying they have items on stock that they do not, they will not respond to phone calls continuously cancel deliveries and will not compensate you for any inconvenience. The manager Kendrick does not return phone calls or will leave you on hold for hours. I have never experienced such a company that does not value its customers, I purchases a sofa in March that they said they had in stock and didn’t receive it until May. The customer service line is also horrible they speak over you reciting policies and have no empathy. I will never purchase something here again, I will also warn everyone I can.

After writing the original review (original below unedited), I was able to reach a good gentleman named Austin at Ashley Furniture Queens who was able to make things right. Instead of being passed around and having difficulties getting things straightened out, Austin took over and became my personal liason to ensure that the correct technician came to fix the bed and replace the faulty frame. He also ensured it was a smooth seamless process which was completely the opposite of what I had experienced earlier. it was truly a day and night difference from what I was going through earlier. Yes, things did not move as fast as I would like but then given today's situation, Austin and Ashley Furniture really hustled and got the job done. I have nothing but good things to say about Austin and the experience would make me purchase furniture in the future from the Queens store. ----Original Review---- Buying a bed from Ashley furniture here has been one of the worst experiences of my life due to the poor quality of furniture and the sheer ineptitude and incompetence of not only the furniture store but the deliverymen involved. Ashley furniture delivered a damaged bed and the delivery men scratched and damaged by brand new hardwood floors when they set up the bed. When I inspected the bed, the drawers wouldn't close correctly and there was this black tar like substance on the frame. When I confronted the deliverymen with these issues, they literally ran away and did not let me sign or acknowledge the damaged good. When I called customer care, they said they would send a repairman to help fix the bed. When the repairman came in 2 weeks later, he said he couldnt do anything and I needed a new bed. When I asked about a new bed to Ashley Furniture, it took a month for them to sort out the paperwork as they kept rejecting their own inspectors report that the bed was needed to be replaced. I finally got the delivery scheduled today and they were refused entry because they sent unvaccinated deliverman; i had explicitly requested that the proof of vaccination is needed for delivery but they ignored me. When I called customer care, they told me to pick it up myself at the warehouse. This experience is not over and is honestly the worst furniture purchase experience I ever had. Not only did they deliver broken furniture that is still sitting in my room, but they damaged my hardwood floor and do not listen to customer requests.

I bought my sofa bed at the Glendale location and my sales specialist name was Ashley just like the store's name. She was extremely knowledgable and answered all my questions. I gave her all the measurements of my elevator and my apartment door that she requested so that there would be no problems with my delivery. I then received a call from Ashley checking on me to see how my delivery went. It's not anywhere that you find this kind of service. Our sales associate Christian was very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. He patiently showed us all the options that fit out criteria for our new couch in the showroom and helped us pick the right one for our needs and style. The rest of the staff was very friendly and helpful as well and they even served us delicious lattes from their in-store Starbucks machine. I didn't know what to look for and what to take into consideration. The Staff were extremely, informative, patient and well knowledgeable on the varied selection that Ashley Furniture has to offer. Miguel Particularly took his time to show me the different kinds of couches as well as the nuances between Spring couches/ Pirelli webbing, Sectionals vs Sofas etc. Words cannot describe the depth of knowledge this man has as well as his patience in my asking multiple questions about the range of furniture offered. And believe you me I asked so many questions. Without exaggeration I must have spent hours finding the right fit for my living situation. Also, Jackie and Chasity were super welcoming. Not only am I satisfied with my purchase. I am telling everyone I know to shop here. As I know this is my first choice in purchasing furniture. The guys were nice-Gryan and Kendrick. They checked out all the color combinations and furniture variations on the different sets we were looking at. They really were very helpful. The furniture is all made in the USA so that was a huge plus. 4/16/22- This is an update. I changed my stars from 5 to 2. Buying the furniture was a good experience. Getting the furniture was another issue. The first delivery, almost half the furniture was damaged and I sent back. To make a long story short, today was the last of 4 deliveries that took over two months. All the phone calls that weren’t returned, all the promises of taking care of this right away for me, refusing a return that they claim did not qualify to be returned, all the damaged pieces, all the missing pieces, and all the people that started out so enthusiastic about ‘making it right for their customer’…..I’m done! I was so excited at first to think that I had found a furniture store with made in the USA furniture and nice people who cared. What a let down. Do you know how I finally got this fixed? When I couldn’t get anyone to help me or call me back, I went to their FB page and told my story. Next thing I knew one of the *bosses* took on my issues. She eventually let me down as well. But today it is finally over. I just hope the furniture lasts.
