My husband and I had a wonderful experience shopping for a bed frame and mattress. Josiah Scott worked very patiently with us over a two-day period to ensure our new bed met all of our needs. I needed a frame that was 9 inches off the ground to fit shoe totes and in a cherry color, while my husband wanted good value and a medium-to-firm mattress. Josiah never pushed us to buy the most expensive products but instead gave us plenty of style and price options—and even found our frame on clearance! We ended up choosing a bed platform instead of a traditional frame, which I had never even considered until Josiah showed me how well it met my storage needs. We took our time looking at mattresses because my husband and I have different sleep preferences, and the following day we decided to try the 90-day trial on a Purple mattress. I love that we can try it before committing. Our experience with Josiah at Ashley Furniture was so positive that we plan to return for a couch this winter!

Over the years I have bought several pieces of furniture from the store in Horseheads , New York. I love the huge selection they offer and every piece has been made out of good quality wood and fabric. Every employee I have dealt with over the years has been fantastic, they give you your space but are close by with any answers to your questions. I have never felt pushed into a sale or rushed to make a decision which goes a long way in my book. The only reason why I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because I find the lighting in there is too dark and often times colors will change when you hit the daylight. They do carry tablets so they can bring up an item to show you a more accurate description should you struggle in this area as I do. Overall this store in particular has never let me down.

I had the best experience. My salesman Joe was very knowledgeable. Not pushy at all. Which impressed me. And he would also make a great interior decorator! He was matching pillows to make the perfect splash of color. The purchase from beginning to end was quick and quite easy. Thank you Joe and Ashley!

Been waiting on Warranty and parts for a very expensive electric recliner since October. Called several times and get the same story. Parts are on back order should be shipped by the end of the month. I am a cancer survivor that is disabled and need this chair to function. Customer service lacks a little to be desired. Strongly recommend you go elsewhere.

I went to the store knowing what I wanted. The salesman was able to give me a good deal and I felt good about it all. The furniture is very comfortable and was a good price. I am a bit disappointed that I was told I would receive a bit of a refund becuase I had purchased so much but it has been two months and I have not received said refund.

The salesman David welcomed us into the store. We were looking for recliners he directed us to where they were. He came back in a bit to check on us, answered our questions. He was not pushy or checking on us every three minutes he allowed us to look and try them out by ourselves. When we were ready to buy we found him. He was very knowledgeable and made our purchase pleasant.

I had excellent customer service from MacKenzie when I walked in to Ashley to look at recliners. I just went in "to look" and saw several chairs I liked and 2 were real candidates for purchase. MacKenzie answered questions about the chairs but did not push me to make a decision. He answered all my questions about the chairs and once I decided one chair over the other I felt confident I'd made a good decision. Mickenzie made the purchase process simple and clear. I left without thinking,"I should have asked this or that", he was easy to talk to and I felt like coming in "just to look" was the right thing to do.

Super friendly and helpful from the moment you step foot in the store. They do everything they can to make sure you have a stress free shopping experience and get the best buy besides!! This was my first trip ever to this store but it absolutely was not my last!

Kaitlyn was great. She helped me find what I needed after what I thought I wanted did not pan out. She was quite patient with me and checked in occasionally while searching the store on my own.

My son and I had visited the store 2 weeks prior and Mickenzie helped that day as well. My husband needed to test beds out as his physical needs were why we were shopping in the first place. Mickenzie had my husband try the beds that he had recommended during the initial trip to Ashley and we settled on a bed that was right for both of us. Not once did Mickenzie try to sell us an products that we weren't looking to buy. I would definitely recommend Ashley and I would buy again in the future if need be. Fantastic experience both times and wonderful salesmenship!

We went to another furniture store in Downtown Elmira and it wasn’t the best so we googled Furniture Stores and Ashley came up. I was thinking it was gonna be corporate and lack luster! This store is awesome and the selection is fantastic!! We found everything we wanted and more! The store is designed and laid out really nicely. The best part is David Jackson, he gave us the best pricing so we didn’t have to shop around plus found everything in stock and helped coordinate delivery. We went looking for a small kitchen table…found the perfect table, a new sofa and coffee table. The sales staff welcomed us in, made us aware of their sales, and offered any help. Let us wander around and look without being bothersome. Checked in with us and answered our questions. Worked out a delivery date that worked. Good experience overall.

We are disappointed after buying from here, they showed something else and gave something different, after reaching out they said they can’t do anything to fix the issue which was done by their own people. First time bought something from them and I won’t recommend them again to anyone.

We recently purchased a sofa and Queen bed frame from Ashley’s furniture store Josiah Scott was our sales representative he asked what we were looking for and showed us furniture that matched our wants and price range. He made the purchase easy as well as went over some of the payment options. We would recommend Ashley’s furniture as well as Josiah to anyone looking for furniture upgrades.

Josiah was friendly and greeted us as soon as we came in the store. He told us where we could find what we were looking for. He let us look around without hovering over us, but checked in a few times to see if we had questions or needed information. Overall a great place to do business.

This is a review specifically for Nigel. He was great to work with!! Not pushy or obnoxious in anyway, he simply just wanted to help us find what we were looking for. He was very knowledgeable about the furniture and policies but also wasn’t afraid to ask an associate if he wasn’t sure about something to make sure he was giving us accurate information. If you are going to Ashley for furniture, ask for Nigel! You won’t be disappointed!!

Where do I even begin.. This is an extremely long saga that just keeps growing due to the extreme unprofessionalism and disrespect of this establishment and their employees. It all began with them denying my sale and refusing to let me use a card because they decided to make up a fictitious rule that you cannot use your store card for purchases under $300 which is false since I’ve made plenty in the past. They then have the nerve to act as if I am the one in the wrong and attempt to gaslight me that I am somehow being unreasonable when I said to just forget it and cancel the sale. I then complain to management and review my experience on here and continue to be told that their staff is correct and that I don’t know what I’m talking about. I’m not sure which is more unprofessional, lying to a customer whose sale you just denied for no reason or having employees gather around and stare you down while clearly talking about you. Either way, this store is guilty of doing both and I took appropriate action much to their dismay. Once the dust finally settled, I did my best to forget this place ever existed and that I’ve ever done business with them, and an employee from the store then came up to me when I was at the gym minding my own business and told me “if you have a problem with me say it to my face.” What on earth? I’m pretty sure I already expressed my disdain with his abysmal attitude and service at the store, but to bring this all a step further and attempt to begin an altercation outside of the business is next level. An employee from the gym had to separate us and nearly call the police all because he had a personal vendetta against me and was angry that I made a complaint in the past. Don’t be angry when this is all your fault, and someone speaks out against you. I should be allowed to enter public places to my leisure without dealing with the confrontation of unhinged employees at a failing store.

I worked with two men who were exceptional in greeting, finding, and informing me about what I was looking for. Very knowledgeable, professional and clear on what I purchased.

I really love the selection's this store has for different things.But what is really great is the staff Mr. Josiah Scott goes above and beyond for his customers and he always responds promptly when i have needed to contact him,EVEN AFTER NORMAL STORE HOURS,I HAD TO TEXT HIM TO ASK HIM SOMETHING ! He was upset or anything he said dont worry about it that he is here to help the customers when they Need it! Thanks again for all the patience and help!

I always fear going into these types of stores and having someone hound me while trying to look. After several minutes of browsing, I was greeted, asked what I was looking for and if she could help. After looking at a few floor pieces, I was told about the clearance section. I found what I was looking for there and she even discounted it further! I was then handed over to a gentleman who finished my sale. He was very thorough explaining the 12 month no interest program and answered any questions I had. I was very pleased with the whole experience and am not anxiously awaiting its arrival!

Once we found our selection, David was there to answer more of our questions, go over prices and showed us the kiosk to move forward with a possible purchase . After searching for the perfect furniture for my apartment for weeks, I was delighted to not only find some of the most beautiful pieces of furniture of all Upstate NY but to have also had the pleasure of working with Josiah Scott. He had an answer to every question and took his time to make sure he understood exactly what I was, or wasn’t, looking for. I wanted to give a shout out to Ashley staff, David Jackson and Tanya Bell for providing exceptional customer service as we shopped for a new living room set. They were both available when we needed them and did not hover while we looked around. While we found furniture we loved at Ashley, we chose to check out another national retail furniture store to see what they had for options before we made our final decision. Upon arriving to the other furniture store, we were immediately pounced on and constantly interrupted while we shopped. The experience was quite unpleasant and annoying. We immediately returned to Ashley and purchased our beautiful living room set. He had patience despite my indecisiveness and continued looking to find exactly what I wanted. Tonya was a nice lady, very helpful. She was willing to move furniture around to make my vision come to light. I purchased a couch, coffee table, one end table, and a rug. TIP: I would look at their prices online before purchasing in THIS store. Most things are A LOT cheaper if they’re ordered online, along with the delivery fee, ($300 in store and $129 online (some locations $199)) IT IS NOT FREE like I was originally told!! AND the protection plan ($500 in store and $349 online.) I wish I knew all of this information before purchasing in store, but they did price match for me after I came back in to “complain”.

We’ve purchased furniture from this Ashley store a few times and have always had a good experience. This time was no exception. The selection was great and we found a living room set we love. We worked with salesman Lance Christman, who was polite, professional, and had a good sense of humor. He was very knowledgeable about the furniture available, and was able to help us with our questions. He also helped with updating our store card account. All in all, it was a very nice experience and I’m sure we’ll shop here again.

Good deals on lamps!

Customer service was great! There is also a playhouse for the kids to play in while you shop. This makes is a lot easier to shop with kids and they aren't jumping all over the furniture.

I went to Ashley in Horseheads NY seeking a new recliner. The salesperson was a very affable young man. I told him what I wanted and what my budget was, and he proceeded to show me chairs that were over my budget, but said he could "give me a good price" on them. He then left me to wander on my own and try out some chairs. I found one I really liked (which he hadn't shown me), but with no price on it. When he came back I asked the price, and lo and behold it was within my budget. Fancy that! I liked the price and told him I wanted to buy it. They had some in stock, and I wanted to take it with me. Then came the bait and switch. "I'll have to talk to my manager..." Right. When he came back he said the price he quoted was the online price, and to honor that they have to deliver it and charge me $100 delivery fee. I called bullsh*t and said no, I want to take it with me for the price he quoted me. He had to talk to his manager again. Right. Finally came back and said I could take one with me for just $50 more that the price he quoted me originally. I know these guys are doing a job and just trying to make a buck. But geez, can you not be so sleazy about it?! Ultimately it's a good product, very well made and comfortable. And I was ok with the final price, just felt a little manipulated. But whatever. I have a nice new recliner that I like. Caveat emptor.

We came into the location to browse and get an idea for what would work best in our space. Josiah was helpful when needed but gave us our space to where we didn’t feel any pressure to make a decision that day. With his help we were able to find the perfect set for us. He made sure we got the best possible deal and with a baby on the way and a dog friendly home made sure we knew all the benefits of the protection plan. Delivery was scheduled that day and we now have peace of mind knowing everything will be delivered and set up before our baby makes his arrival. This location had several displays as well as a kiosk to help build custom options for your space. We had a great experience and will be back!

My husband and I were in search of a couch and after looking elsewhere, decided to make a quick stop at Ashley in Horseheads before it closed. We arrived about 10 minutes before closing (yes, we were those people). Our sales representative, Josiah, came to our aid - guiding us to a couch that would work within our budget and fit the needs for our new home. They were wonderful and even assisted with an order change (after a change of heart on one of the pieces). Excellent service and much appreciated in a time crunch!

John was amazing. Walked in around 12:15, John greets me at the door and asked me if I had something in mind that I was interested in. I told him what I was looking for, he didn’t try steer me in a more expensive direction but took me to exactly what I had in mind. He did not hover over me. He said he would give me time to look around and he would come back and check on me. That’s exactly what John did. We talked some numbers and I was out less than an hour and bonus points for John because no one can ever remember how to spell my last name but John did. Extra bonus points for getting my furniture delivered within two weeks of purchase!!

Joe was phenomenal today. After visiting other stores I was quite tired and over shopping. Joe let me take my time and didn't pressure me or try to push me towards anything. He listened to what I was looking for and what my home life (kids and pets) was like and showed me multiple sets that could work for what I was telling him and ultimately led me to a set that I had my eye on online. Before I settled on what I knew I wanted, Joe made sure to show me the clearance section as well just in case. I appreciated that because it showed he wasn't interested in just trying to get the largest sale, he was genuinely interested in me getting exactly what I wanted. He scooped up a rug I was checking out in the clearance section and brought it right out to the show floor for me to put in front of the couch set I was planning on purchasing to make sure that was what I wanted. Joe went above and beyond today helping me with my purchase. We will surely be back to see Joe anytime we want some more home furnishings! Thank you Joe!

I jave purchased before from Ashley and have had great experience with their product. Held up to 2 kids and cats for years. Customer service is what blew me away. Josiah was extremely attentive and helpful even beyond the sale. He went above and beyond...I wasn't even purchasing a big ticket item and I was still treated and handled as a VIP. Very rare. I didn't even have to go back into the store once I decided what I wanted he helped me take care of everything over the phone. SUPERB!!! Will be purchasing through them again very soon.

My husband and I stopped at Ashley for the purpose of browsing. We were greeted very nicely at the door and asked if we needed help. After indicating that we were just browsing, we were never followed around or hounded and were able to look around leisurely as we wished. Once I had a question, I went up to a gentleman named Lance who was very informational and kind. After my questions were answered he gave my husband and I time and space to discuss options. He never pushed or made us feel stressed for time or to make a decision. We came to him when we decided we were ready and he helped us through all of the steps with ease. We were thanked for our business on the way out. Lance was very friendly and down to earth, as was all of the staff we interacted with. What a day for bed purchasing!!! Over Labor Day Weekend, my bf and I went to Ashley Furniture in search for a bed for him. We were greeted by Josiah, which was an absolute pleasure. Josiah accompanied us to the bed section and after my bf explained what he was looking for, Josiah was right on the ball. He was looking for a Purple Bed. Josiah was very knowledgeable about the product & made all necessary recommendations for it without making you feel like you had to purchase all items, ie bedsheets, pillows, mattress protector/cover… Etc.. He explained the pros in the cons and allowed us to make your own decision. Overall, Josiah was a pleasure to work with, And not only did he make one bed sale that day, he made a second sale a few weeks later by phone bc of how happy I was with the bed and the customer service he provided. Within one month, Josiah sold two purple beds with everything included and he now has two new very happy & satisfied customers! Thank you.
