Going through the process of purchasing new furniture for my loved one’s home after their recent passing has been difficult, to say the least. After multiple failed attempts to receive assistance online and trying to get our items by a specific date, my mom and I decided to come into the store in person. Thankfully, that’s when we met Nick, who then introduced us to Carlos. Let me just say, these two exhausted every option available. Whenever an obstacle came up, they stayed patient, persistent, and committed until they were able to accommodate our needs within our budget. During such a trying time, they truly went above and beyond and brought some much-needed joy our way. We are so grateful for both Nick and Carlos. Zee is an excellent professional guy

Zee greeted me at the door the first time I came in and answered all my questions on what I needed to prepare in order to facilitate a purchase of one of their couches and didn't rush me to make a purchase. The next time I came in, he patiently helped me go over all the options available to choose from. We ended up spending about 45 min and came across the perfect option for me. Zee took care of everything in regards to checking if the delivery could fit through my door frame and even helped setup the removal of my old couch. Highly recommend Zee if you value patient and complete end to end service

Honestly wasn’t even planning on coming here but I’m glad I did. I came in with the intentions on buying bedding but left wishing I had bought a whole new bed. Zee was super welcoming and very knowledgeable in all aspects, he put me and my girlfriend through a wonderful bed viewing experience. Allowing us to test out newer models and through it all he made sure we got the best deals. beyond that we were blessed with his amazing service, bright personality and impeccable pointers. he definitely convinced me on why I should get a new bed base. ultimately I went home dreading that I didn’t leave with what he showed us but I am definitely planning on returning as soon as possible for that bed base. I’m writing this because I’m heartbroken and angry about how Ashley Furniture treated my 80-year-old mother. She saved up to buy a dining set she was excited about, but when it arrived, the chairs were scratched, dirty, and uneven. When she went back to the store to ask for help, instead of showing basic respect or compassion, they completely dismissed her. No one offered a solution or even bothered to look into the problem. Taking advantage of an elderly woman like that is unacceptable. It’s shameful that a company as big as Ashley Furniture would treat any customer this way — especially a senior who trusted them. I hope this review warns others to be cautious and reminds the company that honesty, respect, and decency should still matter.

I was assisted by representative Ty, he was welcoming, knowledgeable, friendly, personable and patient. I described what I was looking for and he immediately showed me a sofa set that I loved, wasn't able to get that set, wouldn’t be wise due to having a pet and he immediately found me something even better with the matching ottoman and a sound bar stand. I was absolutely pleased with my shopping experience with Ty! The other staff were also pleasant and knowledgeable, great shopping environment.

I cannot believe this store is located in Manhattan. Ashley has a variety of products. Carlos did an excellent job, he was knowledgeable about the products and answered all of our questions. I would go back again

Poor customer service. The sales rep was decent up until the couch we came in to see was high up on some shelf and it could not be tested out. He instantly lost interest in wanting to assist us. Lucky for us, Bobs furniture was 1 minute away. The customer service there was exquisite and we left with a purchase.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I ordered an entire bedroom set with white glove delivery and install service which is an extra $170. On the day my delivery was coming (which I took off work for)we were the last stop and they tell us upon arrival that the warehouse forgot the hardware to set up the bed. Because they couldn’t set up the bed they were told to not unbox and set up any items. Now I am bedless and my bedroom is filled with boxes of all my furniture. After talking to customer service they have no idea where the hardware is and our only option is to reorder a new bed which they have no idea when that will arrive. Oh and they’re only willing to refund half of the white glove service for the inconvenience. I have never received worst customer service in my life. I wish I never ordered from this place

Ashley Furniture has shown me exactly why people avoid big-box stores — zero accountability, no communication, and a complete lack of integrity. From the start, this felt like a bait-and-switch situation where all that mattered was getting my money, not delivering on a promise or meeting a real need. I made a purchase on May 25th for a chair that I clearly explained was for my disabled mother and needed by a specific time. I was told it would be delivered by June 19th. That date came and went with no communication, only for me to later find out the item was backordered. They then rescheduled the delivery for June 27th. But on June 26th, I received a message saying my item was ready to be scheduled for delivery — confusing, right? So I called customer service, and was told that the item was actually backordered until the third week of July. Completely different from what I was originally told. Naturally, I asked for a refund. I was told I had to call the store — except the store’s number redirects you right back to customer service. An endless loop with no one taking responsibility. I feel completely misled and taken advantage of. I was clear about my needs and the time frame, and I was reassured multiple times, only to find out none of it was true. It’s clear the only priority was making a sale, not supporting the customer. Ashley Furniture needs to seriously reevaluate their processes, communication, and level of care. I will never shop here again and strongly advise others to look elsewhere.

We were between two color options for a couch, and Carlos went above and beyond to help us decide, including moving cushions from across the store. Carlos also helped us get the best discount possible. Great experience from door in to door out.

Cris at the Harlem location was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and super easy to work with. It was a pleasure furnishing my bedroom. Very easy process.

Carlos was incredibly helpful and patient when I was picking out a couch! Gave suggestions based on the description of what I wanted. Carlos walked me through the payment process and the different routes that I could use to pay for the couch. He broke down each cost from the bill (p.s. highly suggest buying the protection plan if you have pets!). I settled on the Maggie Sofa + ottoman and am very happy with the selection! Lots of good pieces to choose from, but loved the seat depth, color, and fabric. Currently am in a narrow framed apartment and Ashley has a service that allows for full assembly/delivery in apartment. It comes in pieces that can fit through a 28” door frame! Please note that they deliver for free up to 3 flights of stairs and then it’s an additional $10 per flight per piece of furniture. Very much worth the $40 for a 5 floor walk up.

Update… I received the the bed and the incorrect color of chest and was told by Carlos and manager Cory to come back to the store to select the correct color. I do not enter orders in the system. I showed Carlos the color I wanted and the incorrect sku was entered even though I specified the WHITEWASH color. First time and last time buying from Ashley or this store in particular. I did speak with Victor from the warehouse who will assist with ensuring I receive the correct color chest.

(No surprise there, that’s all most of these guys care about) We got a couch from here like a month ago and after some COI trouble things got too difficult for Mel and he abandoned our ordered and cancelled it. We LOVED the couch and kept asking him if there was anything we could do and he said no and his attitude was terrible about it. He saw it as lost money. Disappointed in Mel but pleased with Ashley Furniture as a whole. Ashley Furniture kept reach out and now we are sitting on the couch we loved and hopefully someone else got the commission.

We decided to go to Ashley furniture for our purchase. Although Carlos was helpful in guiding us though the purchase process the quality of the couch after 4 months is grotesque. The fabric is so cheap and all the threads are coming out. The lint does not come off after slight wear. I truly wish we had been advised on the long term quality of winch an expensive product. This is one of the most horrible purchases. Do not invest your money in Ashley furniture. When I called into service the tech stated their quality has gone down. The techs have not assisted us with any care. The company had the audacity to say this would refund 40% of the price tag meaning they would pocket 60% after a four month purchase. This company is stealing and they do not care about good business and quality. My advise do not purchase from Ashley furniture.

We got to the store kinda late, and we took a lot of time to make up our minds and still he was always hearing our needs and being helpful all the time. In the end we ended up getting a great deal on what we needed and we even got a special delivery. Would recommend 100%. However, there are two important points to note. Firstly, it is crucial to be aware of the exact pricing of the item being purchased, as I nearly faced an overcharge if I had not intervened. Secondly, I was not pleased with the addition of a warranty to my purchase without prior consultation. Upon request, the warranty was removed, but I would have preferred to be informed of any additional charges before they were applied.

My bed for my grandson was delivered on June 6. We’re now in August still having had the headboard put on the bed the delivery guy shoved the pieces under the bed Left the headboard, leaning against the window at the head of his bed and left still waiting for it to be attached. Headboard against my grandson‘s bed not attached not a safe situation and still hasn’t been resolved, don’t know if I’ll ever deal with Ashley’s again

We bought a few things about a year ago and the salespeople were amazing but the warranty it’s a scam. Idk if the sales people know how bad warranty is or maybe should change company because they really push for it. It’s so so difficult to reach warranty and they don’t fix the problems. I’m so disappointed because our couch wasn’t cheap.

I went to Ashley because my husband love a living room set I didn’t wanted to change my couch but I gave him a chance. Went we arrived Ricky greeted us by the door and his was very nice he gave me my space to walk around and see what they have, them I went looking for him because I love that he left me alone and was not pushing for a sale . I was able to negotiate with him on the price and I got a better price than my husband got the day before I end up buying the set in total 14 pieces. He was so kind because I got there 30 minutes before closing and we left at 8:20 pm on a Sunday . 6/15/2023 I'm changing my review because I have yet to receive the furniture that was bought a month ago. Ashleys called on 3 separate occasions to reschedule our delivery claiming they don't have parts of the furniture. I don't know if this is a scam or someone is not doing there job, but I want my money back! Who waits a month for furniture?!

Jordan greeted me at the door, listened to my interests/budget/concerns. He showed me items that I purchased via leasing. Jordan and another staff member made sure my niece and I were comfortable. I had no problem moving around the store with my walker.

My experience with Ashley store was a nightmare. I bought a living room set for $2500 which so received on January 12th. The love seat arrived broken which I notified the store about the next day. After 3 weeks of calling about the issue, they had sent someone to repair the issue about the broken furniture that arrived. I waited 4 months for someone to come repair the love seat from their company which originally came damaged. Without any actual repair or fixes on this issue, the repair man couldn’t do anything to fix it and a representative called me from Ashley’s store and said that the love seat can’t be exchanged since I already signed and received this (damaged) order that was placed into my living room area. Ashley’s store is the most unprofessional, disrespectful, and bad company who provided me horrible service and care for this package.

From entering to leaving the store the whole team was great and welcoming. Jasmine and the whole team helped not only me but each other out. They really went above and beyond. And i would love to thank everyone and i will definitely come back and also recommend other to come.
