Ashley Store | Plattsburgh, NY 12901

Long story short. I have been buying from this store for about 5 years now. The quality of the furniture is fine. But, if you have a problem with something breaking or find it is damaged after you purchase it, good luck. The customer service is great when they are selling you something. Now, trying to get a product fixed or replaced is another story. I am to the point of contacting the NY State Attorney Generals office . I spent $3000 this last time, and believe me, it will be the last time.

Never doing business with Ashley Store again. I ordered a bed set at the end of November and It was expected to be delivered to me a few days after Christmas. The day of my scheduled delivery they called to let me know the parts for my bed was damaged from being shipped. They waited the day of my delivery just tell me the bad news and worst of all I'll have to wait about another month for the pieces to get to their warehouse! I'm never buying anything from Ashley's Homestore!

The owner, manager, Sam is not a nice person. On top of that, the furniture is assembled by his employees. They did a terrible job. Not even making sure bolts and nuts are tightened. How bad? the legs of chairs aren&'t even on the floor. Check prices with other Ashleys locations and you will often find it cheaper elsewhere. Sam laughs when I ask him if the TV ads are his, he say, &"no, they are ads from the vermont stores&" but he gets the business from the ads while charging more than the Vermont store. Cheapwad owner, who constantly yells at his employees.

Honestly I&'m not giving this business one star, I&'m giving it less. For weeks I have searched in our area for a bedroom set. A family member has recently been diagnosed with cancer and has started chemo treatment. I want this person to be as comfortable as possible during treatment. I have been out of work due to the covid 19 pandemic, so I wasn&'t going to make a huge investment in a headboard. Yet, I was looking for something tasteful that would match our current furniture. My sister and I set out on a mission one afternoon and came across Ashley Outlet on Boyton Ave in Plattsburgh. We found a headboard that fit my criteria and purchased it. When I went back days later to pick it up, it had a huge hole in it. I questioned what had happened? I was told &"its sold as is&" very rudely by the girl behind the front desk. Yet, the day before we had look over the headboard and didn&'t see even a scratch. I asked to speak to the manager/owner I was told &"he&'s not here&". I asked for his name and was told &"the employees are not allowed to give out his name&" what kind of business is this when you can&'t have the name of the owner? Most businesses want to make a customer happy to assure their continued business. Please never go to this store Sam Pirofsky is a awful person and gives the other local businesses a bad name. We always try to support local businesses but this has put a very poor taste in our mouth. I work with the public and will tell everyone I know to never, never, never go to this terrible business. Now, we have no headboard and Sam Pirofsky has our money. We believe that is stealing! I don&'t know how Sam Pirofsky sleeps nights. We waited for hours thinking surly he would call and issue a refund, still nothing. Disgusting man.
