Store was clean and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. They didn’t have what we were looking for but would have purchased if we had found something.
Nice store, nice furniture. Will go back to get a couch.
Ashley wasn't working
Terrible, incompetent staff (George, Amy) doing terrible, incompetent business. I placed an order in June for a kitchen table with a salesman named George. It is now December. I understand the current supply chain issues. On November 26th, I sent an email to the same Potsdam Ashley furniture store email address where I submitted my payment information just to follow up on my order. I received no reply. I again followed up on December 1st and 6th after receiving no response. Finally, I called the store today, as apparently they're not interested in returning emails if it does not pertain to receiving payment. I spoke to a helpful salesman named James. He could not locate my order, but referred my issue to his manager and assured she'd call me back shortly. Amy, the manager, did call back. She indicated that no order was ever placed, that this "general office" email address where I submitted my payment information is one that she doesn't check, that George hasn't worked there for "many months," and that I should've been regularly following up by coming to the store or calling. Amy made no effort at all to make this situation right via perhaps a discount on a reorder, store credit, or literally any of the simple, easy solutions that everyone knows how to do. As far as I can tell, it seemed as though she was also making no effort to locate my payment information on this email address, because she just "doesn't check that email address." On a sidenote, apparently my credit card information is just floating around on some random inner-office general catchall email address that is not secure or monitored in any way. So that's a gift with the potential to keep on giving. So thanks for that, Amy. I'm sure opening up the office inbox and deleting my personal financial information must have seemed like a terribly difficult task for you. Justifiably, I eventually became agitated and Amy hung up on me because she "doesn't need to be badgered " So to summarize: Potsdam Ashley Furniture Store salesman (George) failed to place my order, no one monitored his sales after he left (Amy), no one responded to my repeated emails following up, they blamed me for their obvious bungling of my order, and they made no effort to continue to earn my business. So if this is what you want in a furniture store, go to Potsdam Ashley Furniture store. Be sure to ask for the manager Amy.
Went looking for a mattress. Found 1 but 6 to 8 weeks to get it... store very clean and nice staff
Service is good was treated well
In February I purchased a chair from Ashley furniture in Massena (Potsdam store is same owners) they told me it would be in in a month. Every month they would say next month. June first I canceled my order and asked for a refund. They promptly refunded the price of the chair but I paid $107 for extra service/ repair service. They told me that there is only a 90 day refund on the service plan and since it’s past 90 days they will have to see if they can get a refund from them. Here we are June 11th and I’m still trying to get my $107 back. Ashley refuses to give it to me because it’s through “another company” even though it’s 100% Ashley’s fault for not delivering the chair when promised. Ashley’s could easily issue me a refund for the service plan since it’s their fault and when the other company responds they might be reimbursed. My family has done business with Ashley’s since they opened local locations. Never again. I hope the $107 they cheated me out of us well worth the loss of business.
