Ashley Store & Outlet Poughkeepsie, NY

My mom and I visited the Ashley Outlet Center in Poughkeepsie as my mom wanted a new living room set. We were greeted by Adam and explained to him what we were looking for. He was extremely patient, kind and personable while showing us around and calculating measurements and prices. My mom ended up getting a sofa and love seat. The next day she learned that the person who was going to take her old set was no longer able to take it. I left a message with Adam and he called me back shortly after. He went above and beyond to arrange for removal of her old set on delivery day. The most amazing part of this was that he took care of this on his day off. He is truly committed to his job and making the customer happy. I mean, who does this on their day off! Thank you, Adam, for everything!

We had a great in store experience purchasing a new three piece sectional on 11/2. We sat on the demo couch in store and stated we wanted this couch in the same configuration. Delivery came on 11/14 and the couch configuration was reversed. The driver was told this is wrong and he showed me the invoice stating no it’s correct. I realized the couch order was placed wrong. I told the driver I did not want this couch and he stated he could not take it back because it is correct on invoice. I immediately called the customer service number explaining the situation in which they transferred me to the store and no one answered. That same afternoon I drove 50 minutes to the store in which a an employee stated once it comes off the manifest in the next day or two it can be set for a replacement pickup and they would contact me. Four days went by and we heard nothing. I had to call customer service and explain yet again the situation and they transferred us to the store with no one answering so once again they stated they would mark it as urgent and a store employee would call in 24-48 hours. We received no call yet again and had to start process all over again and finally reached someone who stated there has been no urgent messages. We were told to wait yet again for it to go through the right departments. Another week had passed and we had to call back going through the same process. Finally after almost 4 weeks and too many phone calls we were able to get a hold of someone who scheduled a replacement. We were also told they would look into some compensation for this whole ordeal and we would receive a phone call. Laughable at most we have not received a phone call still. Almost 5 weeks later we just received the replacement couch today. Customer service is horrendous and I hope I never have to use the protection plan that cost several hundred dollars to deal with them. As a customer you shouldn’t have to call a company who made a simple mistake for them to correct it. There also should be a direct line to the store so you don’t have to call customer service and explain yourself over and over. After a wonderful store experience )which is how it should be because employees want to make a sale), I would not recommend this experience to anyone. It’s apparent once they get your purchase you are set aside and hoped to not be heard of again.

Renee was amazing. Friendly. Fair, kind. I will definitely be a returning customer. My husband managed a company for 45 years and he insisted that Gus salespeople were as foot’s Renee.

Bought a living room set from them today. Jon the sales rep was fantastic. Took me through the floor very efficiently, adjusting what he was pointing out as I gave my feedback, we very quickly found exactly what I was looking for and it's arriving in 3 days. Jon's a hommie.

My family and I walked into Ashley’s just to “look”. We were greeted by Brandon and it was an amazing experience from the start. Brandon is extremely patient and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful shopping experience with our salesperson Kenny. We were greeted with a friendly hello, details about any shopping sales going on, asked if anything specific and was told if we need him he would be around. He saw we loved this sofa set, was so informative about the details of fabric, pillow cushion material and measurements. He made the whole process seamless and joyful! We will always return for Kenny’s help and definitely recommend him to anyone! Thank you Kenny and Ashley’s for such a pleasurable experience!

Conor helped my parents with a dining room table/ chair set and along with his manager, Terrence, found them the best pricing resulting in a hug from my Italian father before he left the store! Conor was super helpful with helping me pick out a beautiful couch for my apartment! Very informative and was able to answer all my questions I had with the process! I recommend him highly!

Walked in Sunday afternoon with my mother and literally was not acknowledged by a single staff member. The store itself was fairly empty, only one other patron who left soon after we arrived. It was so noticeable because the other potential customers were serviced and greeted kindly. We were so off put that we left and ended up at Raymour and Flanigan and went on to order a living room set, mattress, reclining motorized love seat and dining room set with the help of Mark, who is awesome! Ruby and Larry at Bobs Furniture next door were great as well! Shame they missed out on thousands of dollars of business and commission because of poor attitudes. Maybe it was an off day but think, twice about spending your hard earned money at this location!

(Translated by Google) We went a few days ago and decided to buy a bedroom set for my daughter at a discount. Brandon, the salesperson, made all the arrangements for the purchase. He said everything was fine and that they would ship the product on Friday. We threw everything out of my daughter's room because it would arrive on Friday. We waited, and no one ever wrote or called to confirm delivery. So we called the store. The number they have here isn't direct to the store, it's only for customer service. We haven't been able to speak to the salesperson, and they told us they wrote that we would pick up the bedroom set at the store, but we never said that! We've been calling for several days, and they always tell us the salesperson will contact us soon, but they haven't. Now, even to give them our money, we have to go through unpleasant, stressful moments! We haven't received a response and will have to go directly to the store. Very bad service. If you’re furniture shopping here you MUST ask for salesperson Jamil. He went above and beyond for my wife and I from the moment we entered Ashley furniture store until we left, 3 hours later. His patience and customer service skills are unmatched due to his friendly, knowledgeable, skill set. Jamil made sure we were taken care of going through every specific detail of their products and answering any question we had with full expertise. Do not enter Ashley furniture without asking for Jamil. He is the best associate they have.

Our experience with Ashley Furniture in Poughkeepsie has been phenomenal. From the start in the store with Conor and Branden to the end with the delivery movers has been perfect. Conor was very helpful showing us the furniture pieces we were interested in and going above and beyond into making sure everything met our needs. Branden was awesome in helping us figuring things out financially. He did everything he could to make sure we got what we wanted and all in one shot. The delivery movers were polite and moved swiftly through our apartment. They removed our old furniture, brought in our new furniture, and placed everything where we wanted with ease. Poughkeepsie, NY location. Highly Recommend Jamil & Adam! My husband and I went there last night to purchase couches and a new bed. I was set on a certain couch that didn't end up working because of size issues. Jamil spent several hours with us, while I walked all over the huge showroom, trying to decide on what we wanted. We finally decided on everything and Jamil even helped with discounts and extras the we needed while taking our budget into account. When it was time to finalize our purchase, Jamil & Adam helped us with financing, discounts and delivery set up. They were friendly, knowledgeable and took their time with us (even though I was probably making everyone crazy with our indecisiveness). If you need furniture, go there and ask for Jamil or Adam!

My fiancé and I had an amazing experience with Jamil here at Ashly’s. From the moment we walked in the door he was very kind, helpful and proactive to our every need and ideas for our new furniture. He gave us plenty of options to pick from and we were not disappointed. He informed us on a great deal coming in a few days and we came back and closed the sale on some great furniture and we are very happy. Amazing top tier service. Honestly our great experience was because of Jamil. We hope others have the same experience here at Ashly’s!

If I could give zero stars I would, I walked into the store looking for drawer chest and maybe a night table. To my surprise I happen to see a set I like in the floor sample section chest and night table! I talk to a rep and asked if there was any play on the price but he stated it was already 70% off and that’s the most discount they do. I was ok let me think about it and come back. The pricing displayed was $2099.99 for both pieces and after the discount $629.99. I went home to measure and when I looked the items up on the Ashley website not only was the chest on clearance it was no where near the price they were displaying. I looked up the night table and same thing, if I combined both prices and I mean full prices not the clearance price the total was $1299.99 ($585 clearance price) for the drawer chest and $399.99 for the night table. I decided to go back to the store to see what could be done. I was greeted by a different rep and this lady was a gem! She said she saw me walk in before so I started explaining to her and she kept cutting me off to tell me it was the lowest the store would go since it was already 70% off and I kept trying to explain to her the pricing but she refused to listen and kept trying to tell me it was wood and already 70% off!! I told her listen where did the price displayed come from since it didn’t add up and that is false advertising and not really 70% off she kept rambling about they are independently owned and not really under Ashley management! What a waste as I would have loved to get the set but I did not want to succumb to the illegal tactics from this store!! I have added pics of the items at the store and on the website. This is ridiculous to try and rip people off this way. If someone from the store wants to rectify this you can reach out to me with a number and I’m willing to listen. Update 5/3 I got a response to my review and I sent an email to the email provided requesting a call or some kind of communication but haven’t received anything. I noticed they added the pricing to the back of the floor sample sheet but it still doesn’t match pricing anywhere. These items are priced $1299.99 and $399.99 and I went to 2 other Ashley outlets and none do what this store is doing! If you want to resolve this then reach out to the email I sent you!

I went in to the store looking for a desk. Didn’t see many onsite but was shown one online by a floor rep that I did like . I also saw a picture that I also like so proposed to get the items if they were both in budget. They were. On the date of my order, I was delivered a damaged desk and the wrong picture. Both were taken back for replacement. This prompted a new delivery date. On the second delivery attempt , I did not receive the picture I ordered and the desk came with several scratched areas. After noticing this, I informed the delivery person and he began arguing and elevating his voice in my home stating that the scratches were only on the underside of the desk which was very unprofessional and made me very uncomfortable . Contacting the store directly seems impossible as this seems NOT to be an official Ashley store since the customer service is unable to assist with this location specifically. After all of this, the hassle to actually get what I ordered is extremely inconvenient and burdensome. With the inability of management or store personnel to resolve the issue, I would stay very far away. I do not recommend this store and do not feel it is an official Ashley location. BUYERS BEWARE!

Went to Ashley to replace old counter-top chairs. Chris was very attentive, helpful, and knowledgeable. The manager Greg also introduced himself and made the whole experience even better. I then also purchased a book shelf i had been eyeing for a while. Will definitely come back when next I need furniture.

What an absolute cluster. I ordered a couch and it didn't fit down the stairs. The store told me to keep it in the garage. They sent someone to disassemble that said they weren't given all the information about it. Said they were going to break it and then brace it with wood from home depot. Called customer service twice.... they called the store and the two had totally different stories. They tried to say I didn't want the pieces. Why would I keep 3 of 5 pieces of a couch? Especially give back a corner piece. I spent all day Friday Saturday and Sunday trying to get it figured out. They finally had someone come in Sunday that I had to pay cash too. It was ridiculous. Now, I realized I don't have the ottoman to the set. Never again with Ashley furniture. Wasted 3 days of mine. DO NOT RECOMMENDED!

The Poughkeepsie location was incredibly friendly and helpful! Even when bumping into an issue, Gregg and Adam jumped into action and quickly solved the problem. Ashley will always be my first go to for new furniture and this experience has solidified that even more. My boyfriend and I have bought a bed set with split king mattresses and now a bedroom dresser and we couldn’t be more pleased with the quality, comfortability and price. Their excellent customer service is a delicious cherry on top!!

I would like to express in detail the dissatisfaction we have with an Ashley's Poughkeepsie store associate and the delivery personnel on our recent order. Store Purchase Experience.......Our initial interaction was with Christopher Everhart in the Poughkeepsie NY location. We were shopping for a new modular living room set. During our 1st contact with Christopher Everhart, he was friendly and helpful. We scheduled a so-called follow-up "VIP appointment" with Christopher Everhart for the following week at 3:00 PM, on Monday December 23, 2024. When we arrived on December 23, 2024 Mr. Everhart was not in the store. We were told he was out to lunch. Another Sales associate, Adam Brandes, asked if he could assist and we initially declined as our appointment was with Christopher Everhart. We waited until 3:20 PM and Christopher Everhart had still not returned. Adam Brandes once again offered his assistance and we accepted. About 10 minutes after Adam Brandes was assisting us, Christopher Everhart entered the store, nodded his head at us, and proceeded to assist another couple. At no time did Christopher Everhart approach us, apologize for not being there and missing a scheduled appointment, or even thank us for making a purchase close to $6K. Our interaction with Adam Brandes was top notch! He is much more experienced, extremely knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, professional, and Ashley Furniture is lucky to have him as part of their staff. In our opinion Adam Brandes deserves all the credit and commission for the sale. If not for Adam Brandes' professionalism we would have walked out and purchased furniture at one of the many other competitors in the area. Day of Delivery......Delivery date was set for January 14 2025. We received email and text notifications with a delivery time window. The Delivery driver arrived on time and as scheduled. As the driver attempted to park curbside, on the street, he hit and broke limbs on my neighbors tree. I approached the 2 delivery guys and explained that the doorway and every piece of the modular set was measured in the store and would fit. I further explained that 2 of the modular units must have all the pillows and any bulky packaging removed to fit through the doorway. The drivers completely ignored me and said they would not fit. One driver called Ashley customer service and told customer service that 2 units would not fit. I was handed the drivers cell phone and customer service started to tell me about the policies of not accepting the order, some sort of restocking or non acceptance fees, and a bunch of other details that would not solve the immediate problem. At this point I told the drivers to bring the 2 units inside, which they claim would not fit, and we would unwrap and carry them up the stairs to the den ourselves. While the drivers unwrapped the other units, in the den, we unwrapped and carried the 2 remaining units up the 2 flights of stairs into the den. We had absolutely no issue getting them through the doorway and into the den. In our opinion, your delivery drivers were unprofessional, lazy, and lacked communication or understanding. The entire experience from Ashley Furniture, except that of Adam Brandes, was subpar and not in line with the image Ashley represents itself! We hope Ashley can better train their staff and delivery drivers so that other customers can have a better sales and delivery experience.

Chris was warm, welcoming, and attentive. His sense of humor is unmatched. Chris helped us out with our concerns and kept our budget in mind while still selling us a quality couch. Chris made sure to make us feel right at home by demonstrating the positive features of several pieces of furniture. Chris is considerate, passionate, and a family man. Chris asked us about our lifestyle and related to our experiences with stories of his own. I would 100% recommend him to my friends and family.

All employees from Ashley Furniture in Wappingers, specifically Barnett Waldo, Greg Young, and Adam, made my experience a WORLD CLASS EXPERIENCE & EVER LASTING CUSTOMER SATISFACTION IMPRESSION! Each of them are truly a pillar of making the best experience for me and my family. Incredibly grateful for their hospitality, expertise, and their time.

Customer service started off great and upon their knowledge of errors on their end resulted in ignored calls and texts, I even had to personally show up to the Store to get an answer with respect to Ashley Furniture's FIFTH mistake during my experience. Will never shop with Ashley Furniture again and will be sure to advise anyone close to me to also not.

The store itself was very nice. It had a lot of different types of furniture available. Many colors and different styles. But the one thing that we could not get past, was the HORRIBLE customer service. It took us a while to even find someone to assist us, it seemed like no one was even working. We finally found someone and asked them if they had any couches with a pop up bed. She brought us over to the sofa beds instead and said, “this really isn’t what people buy anymore” and sort of walked away. We then showed them a picture of what it was we were looking for and then she sort of understood and took us to one that was partially similar. She didn’t even explain any of the features or asked if this was something that we liked. Instead, she stepped away and stood like 20 feet back while we looked at it and then next thing we know, she was nowhere to be seen. When we went to look for her to see where she went, she was just standing in a corner on her phone and clearly wasn’t in the mood to make a sale. After seeing that type of behavior with a customer, we simply walked out and didn’t even say goodbye. She actually just stared at us as we walked out and didn’t even ask if there was anything else that she could help us with. Customer service is everything, and that is something that this place does NOT have. Very great store, HORRIBLE employees. No wonder it was empty in there. Hopefully other people notice this too and don’t come back, because we definitely NEVER will. Horrible place

We purchased (2) rocker recliners in September 2024. We did t want to wait 4 weeks so we offered to pick up as we have a truck and trailer. Not 1 person told us that if we pick up we void any returns or warranty outside of our 5 year protection plan. Once we unbox and unwrap the chair we noticed there are fray marks and a cut like mark. We called customer service and all they wanted us to do was send them pictures which I did via email. Their response was they didn’t receive the pictures, which is a lie, as I have them on my email to them. They said since they didn’t deliver the chairs there is nothing they can do. It’s now been 2 months and these chair are uncomfortable and squeak. I canned customer service to see how I could go about getting a refund. The representative I first spoke to was unknowledgeable. She didn’t know how long the refund policy was, if there was any and what the next step would be. I asked to speak to a manager. She proceeded to say there is no such thing as a refund policy. I noted to her that there was nowhere listed in the store that was a thing. She said it is on the back of the receipt. asked her how does the protection plan warranty work if we sell the furniture is it transferable? She said absolutely not. I said so that’s absurd. We purchase a five-year protection plan and if we sell the furniture to someone else they can’t use that she said no, they have to purchase it. Customer service is HORRIBLE and furniture quality is GARBAGE! I wish I read all these reviews before making our purchase. 😡😡😡😡😡

Brandon was EXCELLENT!!! My Fiancé and I came to this Ashley location to get a new couch, we kinda knew what we wanted already so we just needed to narrow the choices down. We came in on Tuesday and saw a few couches, we needed to confirm measurements and sleep on the one we were going to buy. The next day we were ready to make the purchase, we contacted Brandon to confirm if he was working. Brandon was off but he CAME IN TO ASSIST US! We are super grateful for the amazing customer service we received from Brandon! He made the experience super smooth and stress-free, no type of pressure what so ever, very honest and down to earth! I have been shopping at this homr store for the last few months and through their online portal. I have not had a bad experience, there were times I was not happy, but I tend to overlook it until I get the end product. This time this was not the case; I made a purchase for a dresser and it has been a complete nighmare. They tried to deliver me the item broken and they tried to stop me in looking over the item completely to make sure everything was okay. After telling them I am allowed to look over the item to make sure all is well, I took noticed right away the dresser had scratches along the sides and bottom, the back of teh dresser had screws coming through the back which tehy said was normal, but then the bottom drawers came apart completely once I pulled it out. They tried to bully me in keeping the dresser and it took calling my husband on the phone in the midddle of his meeting for them to back off so they can take back the dresser so it can replaced with a new one. In the process of receiving a replacement one, I was put in contact with my home store Poghkeepsie and I kept receiving unsatisfactory answers in regards to receiving the replacement order. I never throught it was possible to have the same item be rescheduled for delivery three times and canceled by the company all wihin the same week. I was already unhappy for we are going almost 4 weeks since the original purchase date and all I wanted in Ashley calling me is a refund. To get a refund is a nightmare, even though items are being sold by Ashley it comes through a third purchasing party which they make you jump hoops to speak with them; which is still not a success. It took talking to five agents after receiving the third cancellation on their end to be told they will only refund me a portion of my order, when I asked why is this be if I was inconvenience in receiving the order which they delivered broken and took back. They said they need to pay the drivers for attempting to deliver the first item which once again arrived broken. I dont understand how they want to be put on me when I purchased the white glove purchase is to be given a item in good condition which I can still use; but didnt. The company is a scam and robbers; they will do everything in their power to not refund you and beware they will not give you ypur money completely. The store knew I purchased my first house and have been shopping for a new room to furnish every month. I am disgusted with the quality of service and will prefer to take my shopping to another store which will not give me the problem. Now I have to wait to see the amount I was refunded to complain to my bank and at the end of the day I will have no dresser and all my clothes are still on the flor. Thanks Ashley for not even attempting to really assist and I could have purchased another dresser instead with you, but were not interested.

Walking into the store I already knew what furniture I wanted to get. It took 10 mins after walking in for anyone to come up to us. I showed the salesmen what I wanted. The prices online were way cheaper than the stores prices. They tried to up charge be three times. After I got my furniture I wanted to return it. The store told me to call customer service and customer service told me to call the store. I have been going back and forth for days with different people. They told me I only can get back store credit and need to pay a restocking fee. I would be losing 100s of dollars doing that. There is nothing in my contract that even says any of that and sales person never said anything about this. All around terrible customer service and terrible experience. Save the trip and go across the street to Raymour and Flanigan. Better customer service and furniture.

Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This place is terrible. Customer service is a 3/10 when you want to buy something and a 0/10 when you have any issues. First they tried to overcharge us 3 times. Then when we didn't like the furniture and tried to return it they have been zero help. I don't even mind the restocking fee of 20%. It's the fact that they only will give us store credit (which is does not say in the contract) and they won't help you in the store. You have to call customer service and we've been waiting a week for someone to get back to us.

If I can give them 0 stars I would. Do not shop here. They are liars and have awful customer service. I ordered a couch in August and they told me 3 weeks for delivery. It is now the end of October and still no couch. Taking my money was easy for them but trying to get help and answers is difficult. It was supposed to be delivered today. My husband took off work and this morning they told us they were not coming only after calling and texting them. They were not reaching out to me to let me know it was canceled. No delivery date in sight and they do not see anything wrong. Go to Bob's at least they have good customer service and people that answer.

I recently purchased a sectional couch from Ashley Furniture, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment I walked into the store, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Terrible experience. I ordered a sectional over 1 month ago. It was supposed to be delivered this upcoming weekend. When I purchased the sectional, the sales lady promised that it would be delivered the date I needed it. Ashleys reached out to confirm delivery for this weekend. Later to find out the day prior to delivery, that its going to take another month to be delivered. After calling the corp. office, all they did was pass the blame onto the manufacturer. News flash- I purchased the item from Ashleys, not the manufacturer. Maybe I should have bought it directly from the manufacturer instead since thats all Ashley will do to remedy the situation. The assistant manager did do everything in his power to try to make the situation right, and even took money off the purchase price. But i feel bad for him because Ashley furniture should not be putting their employees in these types of situations because they cant properly manage their relationships with their suppliers. Customers should have more then a 2 day notice that their furniture is going to take an extra month to deliver. If you want your furniture to actually be delivered on time, and want to buy furniture from a place where they actually care about their customers, look elsewhere. They do nothing but offer empty promises. An experience like this should never happen.

I had a fabulous interaction with the Sales Manager and he provided me with a price, all in, including delivery. I accepted the price and he said he'd be right back as I sat on the furniture I was purchasing. He reappeared and asked me to step up to the register. Then the amount he told me was $150 more than what he said 5 mins previously. He acknowledged his mistake, but refused to honor the price he quoted. He provided the wrong price, which included financing, but said he was unable to do anything about it, so I left. It was his error, not mine 😔 Other than that, it was great! Lol

Purpose was looking for sleeper sofa. We were directed to the general area and after a few minutes we were helped by Terrence. We let him know what we wanted and after showing him a couple we saw online he helped us find one. Granted we went next door to another furniture store but Ashley’s pro r was better. We went back and completed the transaction. Terrence was a very polite, unassuming sales person. The staff worked together to complete the sale. Delivery fee was less than other store too, would recommend

Good experience! Fast transaction! Even found a comfy recliner in the clearance section that Jeff (warehouse worker) wrapped up & took out to my car. Jeff was also nice enough to inform me of a “Hope to dream” program that’s offers new beds to our youth. Thanks Jeff! I will return and update my review once I utilize the recliner and my new dining set.

I have to share my experience because I was so pleasantly surprised. Had been shopping for couches for 2+ months but couldn't make a decision bc all of the shipping online said 8+ weeks for delivery and we needed something sooner rather than later. We went into the store and were greeted by Jonathan who was such a pleasure. He wasn't pushy and really helped us to make a decision. We ended up ordering with him and then having buyers remorse and changing our color the next day. The store was super accommodating and gave us zero issues. We had couches delivered by the sweetest delivery drivers as well ALL with 1 week from going to the store. Will definitely be shopping for all my furniture going forward here. Thanks!!!!

We were surveying reclining sofas at various stores with no intention to buy immediately. We had not seen anything that impressed us. Partly due to the quality of furniture at Ashley’s we became more interested. However, I think what really sold us was the personal attention and quality of service that the salesperson Adam provided us. Adam was very personable and helpful without being pushy. He gave us a comprehensive overview of the various qualities of the various sofas. He told us what distinguished Ashley’s furniture from other manufacturers. He let us look around without tailing us, but he was readily available to answer questions. Adam treated us like friends and not customers. I think his salesmanship is an extension of a genuinely friendly and outgoing personality. He made our decision to purchase an enjoyable experience.

After making over 10,000.00 purchases with Ashley, they refuse to be honorable and do the right thing. We purchased a mattress and box spring. After calling and advising that the box spring has a manufacuters defect, because when speaking to the sales people at the store our situation “has never happened before”. Instead of making an even exchange and showing some concern for our situation, the customer service reps advise that we have to make a payment of the restocking fee and made me drive 40 minutes for absolutely nothing. Very disappointed to say the least. The rating I would give is a big fat goose egg!

You know after a good presentation by the salesman which everything was fine no problem with him except after receiving the merchandise at my house and the delivery guys left because I said everything looks okay we were looking at everything and it does not fit in our living room correctly and the company says well too bad that's our policy and the salesman never told us that everything is non-refundable there's such a small fine print on the back of the paperwork that nobody reads and they don't really stress that to you so for that I'm giving two stars because now I'm down $2,000 for a couch that I don't need to have and they won't take it back at all so just be leery on every detail before you sign the paper

I normally don’t leave bad reviews because I’m a bussiness owner so I know how it goes but I Would give zero stars if I could. I purchased a ottoman from this place and it has been a nightmare for two months now and still don’t have it. First i ordered it and didn’t arrive till a month later to find out it was stained all over and I had to go personally to get answers because no one would give me an answer. Then the manager ordered a new one and told me to keep the damaged one (which I got rid of it because my appointment is too small for two of them plus who wants a stained ottoman?) so after 3 more weeks when I thought I was finally getting the new ottoman, they couldn’t deliver it because in the system said that it was a exchange which couldn’t happen because since the manager told me to keep the damaged ottoman I got rid of it.. NOW the manager ONCE AGAIN ordered a new one and I have to wait a few more weeks for it. 3 months trying to get a ottoman SMH. Bad communication & poor customer service… they want to you purchase and they will be on top of you until it’s paid then when you have a issue no one will answer, The store never picks up the phone and you have to go in person to get to talk to someone. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE, SUCH A BAD EXPERIENCE

Shout out to the Ashley team at the Poughkeepsie location specifically Jonathan and Adam because that’s who I worked with specifically to get my furniture and financing. I must say, if Jonathan and Adam are a reflection on the team dynamic there, then I can only assume the Poughkeepsie location has the best team ever! 10/10 recommend seeking out one of those two for a pleasant shopping experience. Super easy to talk to, friendly, very knowledgeable and honestly they made it an over all super chill experience and believe it or not, they had ACTUAL PERSONALITY AND UNDERSTOOD HUMAN INTERACTION. It seems like basic human decency and the art of interpersonal conversation is lost these days but NOT at Ashley Poughkeepsie. The Ashley team at Poughkeepsie make you feel very welcomed and noticed and they are splendid to talk to from start to finish. By the time you leave the whole exchange felt more like pleasure than business. If I were you, that location would be my next stop for furniture.

Don’t recommend this place for one too many reasons . They are the nicest when you buy and they are not behind the product and don’t care. Don’t even get me started on third party protection plan . Forget it

Would give zero stars if I could. I was mislead by a sales associate in the Outlet store as to the price of the couch I was interested in. I was told the wrong price for the protection plan as well. When I placed the order the price was DOUBLE what I was told and if it wasn’t for the fact that my children were with me and the whole process of ordering it was taking so long and I needed the couch asap I would have walked right out. They scheduled my delivery for a Wednesday so I took off of work to be available all day that day. No one called me leading up to it, no email saying a time frame. I called on the day it was meant to be delivered and turns out there was no delivery scheduled for the day they said! And no explanation even though I showed them the email confirming the delivery being scheduled for that day. No email rescheduling. No phone call. Nothing. I’m appalled that this company doesn’t care about its customers. It is a clear disregard of my time and money. Will never shop here again.

At first the associate named Brian was helpful and friendly and then everything turned into a nightmare when part of our couch could not fit up the stairs. We explained the situation to Brian hoping for a fast resolution but he just gave us a run around and we even tried meeting in the middle by refunding that part of the couch and getting another chase to replace it (we asked for another chase because the first one fit up the stairs). Brian said it’s not possible and gave us a number for a third party breakdown service that was not helpful at all. We came back and spoke to Terrance who sorted everything out with no issues. We got our chase this morning which we are happy about.

My husband and I had an amazing experience here…Yvonne helped us find a beautiful and heavenly comfy sectional couch, and a gorgeous accent cabinet that we are using as an under tv entertainment unit. She was amazing to work with— incredibly patient while we explored everything as we had our 7month with us—and showed us everything we were interested in and listened to all our preferences. She made the shopping experience so nice that we are really looking forward to going back for some other things we saw and we are incredibly excited for our new couch to be delivered. What we found was also better priced than the similar couch we found at Raymour and we liked the color options better. They had a lot of really nice stuff and affordable pricing.

Buyers beware of the warranties on mattresses and furniture they sell you. I was convinced to buy their 130$ mattress cover so that my mattress could be warrantied. As well as an additional furniture warranty on my couches. Nevertheless I had to try and utilize both these warranties and it’s been nothing short of a nightmare. I was unaware that if you have any stains on the mattress they deny you a warranty. I used their mattress cover how is it my fault stains still got through and what does that have to do with the fact that the springs on the mattress are sticking out the sides within just two years. It’s honestly just an excuse to get out of helping the customer. For the couches I did everything they asked and it’s been a year and nobody has handled it. I’m so over these million dollar corporations taking advantage of people. I will never shop with Ashley’s again. They sell overpriced garbage and don’t care about what happens with the people after they walk out their store, nor do they care about honoring any of their warrantees. Don’t waste your time go to an honorable company and buy good quality furniture.

DO NOT let yourself be talked into buying the protection plan for a couch. It does NOT cover cushioning at all (which is like 90% of a couch!!). I really feel like the salesperson at Ashley should have been transparent about this...especially since we mentioned it as our reason to buy the plan. So disappointed I spent $280 on nothing.

Just bought my forever home and went in to Ashley Furniture. Very friendly staff. Markese and Destiny were amazing! They made me feel like I had an interior designer working for me. The process did take a little time as there was a mix up with what I wanted, but it was cleared up as soon as we noticed it. Will definitely go back for more pieces as I settle in.

Don't buy their furniture. It is so cheap. We bought a couch about 4 years ago and it started to break almost right away. I am finally done with this one and bought another couch from a different store. When I took this one apart, it was made out of plywood and staples. They used a cardboard for the front corners of the arm rests. No wonder it broke

The associates offered complimentary water and Starbucks coffee. There is something there for every price point. I'm in love with the pieces I purchased and will definitely be purchasing from this particular store again.

My experience in the store was great! They really took the time to see what we were looking for and helped us pick out a perfect mattress. Unfortunately when our furniture was delivered, our king size bed set was delivered with a queen mattress. Additionally our sofa did not come with a hook for our chaise. I called customer service, sent pics and turnaround time is supposed to be 48 hours, it has been over a week and still no call from technician or anyone. We had to return mattress and at the end it was not a good experience and will not be repeat customers.

Adam and Brian helped sell me a LuxBreeze Tempur Pedic mattress and I appreciated how welcomed I felt from the second I walked into the store. Both Adam and Brian were very helpful with pointing me in the right direction for the exact type of mattress I was looking for. Brian set me up on a machine that showed me what type of mattress would fit me both and then gave me a few options that would best suit my needs. Both were very professional and would recommend Adam and Brian to anyone at anytime.

The price of the sofa was $2,299. in the store. Ended up paying $2,100 out the door. Got home & saw online that the sofa was $1,699 on the Ashley site! Then found the same exact sofa for $1,310 from 1Step Room’s to go. Cancelled my order & I don’t plan on shopping at Ashley again! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!

We came in December and purchased almost an entire apartments worth of furniture from this store. The customer service was divine but the people who installed our bed were awful. They didn’t speak to us, and instead of letting us check the install they forced a phone infront of my boyfriend and told him to tell their boss they finished???? They hurried him and told him he didn’t need to check cause it’s done and then left abruptly as soon as he said yeah they’re done. Once we finally got to looking, they broke the wires of my desk and are missing viable pieces to it. That I can forgive what I can’t forgive is the fact they installed our bed BACKWARDS Which caused it to split in the wood today and completely break. We haven’t had this bed even 4 full months yet. This is very poor workmanship and now we are out 6k ……we have to get a new bed frame now and are very upset.

I placed an order 2/23/23 with a delivery date of 3/10/23. Was told I would get a text for delivery the day before by 7p. No communication whatsoever. Seems the store was on “holiday” according to their voicemail. I called the corporate center on the 10th at 9a only to be told by Daniel that delivery would be the 15th. I called back spoke to Patricia. I wanted to know when the delivery date was changed. She did not know but she had a delivery date of April!! At this point still no communication. Drove to the store to settle the issue. They lied they refused to acknowledge the time and consideration I had invested in this delivery. I cancelled my entire order. Confirmed delivery and never showed! I took the day off. Called 3 times and recieved nothing but excuses and lies. What a total run around. Furniture you order comes all separate deliveries....been 6 weeks since our purchase and still do not have everything I ordered. What a awful experience.

I will not recommend to shop at this store. I had an exchange of the couch made, the one for a less prise. At first I was told that I'll get my money back, now they are holding $800 in their store. Its been a year, Noone can refund me money. Cannot spend it on online orders either. It's $800!!!!!!!!!!! Disappointed

I had a wonderful experience at Ashley furniture. I was helped by Niko and he was extremely helpful, personable, friendly and professional with me. Niko made buying our furniture easy and stress free. I would highly recommend this store, the people that work here are so inviting, accommodating and pleasant. I understand they are trying to sell a product, but they do it in a way that does not make you feel pressured or uncomfortable which is rare to see today.

I purchased an entertainment center that was delivered damaged. It took weeks to find out how to get the furniture returned. It's very difficult to find the right phone number to call - chats and texts which are generally non-responsive.

Went in knowing exactly what we wanted , easy sale. When it's time for delivery to get set up my "salesperson" Ayda and manager Terrance won't return my call, very unprofessional and makes me think twice about he next room we wanted to re do.

Our salesman was exceptional in fitting us for a mattress that fits our bodies and helps with our sleeping styles. He went out of his way to help us in what we needed.

I purchased a living room set in July from Aly and Meghan, they were patient and accommodating with me. Ultimately, they helped me choose the perfect set and helped arrange for a delayed delivery as per my needs. I am exceptionally happy with the overall experience and recommend Ashley and these two incredible representatives, my heartfelt compliments.

I spoke to Terrence on the phone… He was a pure gentleman which made me come right in to purchase my couch… When I arrived he was busy but I was assured he’ll be right with me in the meantime Mike took care of everything! We got the deal done and we can’t wait to receive our couch on Thursday! What a great team you guys have! I have been in sales for over 15 years and I never find people that treat customers the way I do!

We started our search at Ashley's. We almost never buy the first "anything" we find. We met Giovanni,and we left without buying anything. When we decided to buy, we returned to Ashley's because Gionvanni was the best. He gave us space to discuss the furniture between ourselves. He was close enough to answer questions when we had them. He literally rolled an end table through the entire store looking for a matching coffee table. We didn't even take the end table. He made furniture shopping fun.

Salesmen very helpful in finding exactly what I wanted. Did not have to wait long before delivery. Delivery was on time, very professional. Definitely will return and recommend Ashley.

No compensation , nothing for the inconvenience , multiple days off of work and just told oh we could Have just got you a weekend time slot (never offered at start) TERRIBLE customer service

My sales rep Niko was awesome. He was thorough and direct with answering my questions, moved some displays around so I could get a better idea of the furniture I was buying and whether or not everything was gonna go together. Never once did i feel pressured into buying anything the guy was great. I'd recommend the poughkeepsie location and their team any day. When it came to delivery man did they deliver! The team showed up in the time frame they had given me, they had everything in the house assembled and arranged how I wanted it in less than an hour. Hands down great experience.

I WILL NOT USE THE POUGHKEEPSIE LOCATION AGAIN!!!!! I bought a bunch of furniture and these two chairs from them last Thursday and they didn’t give me the screws that go with one of the chairs so now I have a chair sitting on my living room floor with no screws to put the legs on and I’ve called to try to get my screws from them and they answered twice and told my mother and I that they would call back with a solution, but never did. We both have called over a dozen times and the phone just rings until it’s disconnected. Unprofessional and they have so regard for customers when they make a mistake.
