Ashley furniture has been the best furniture store I’ve ever dealt with! earlier this year I had bout 3 mattresses and 4 mattresses protector for 2500 and put straight into storage up until 7 months ago when me and my kids finally got housed me and my kids lost everything due to the hurricane Helene. I contacted Ashley furniture to see if they could help me replace what I had lost that I purchased earlier in the year. Ashley contacted me back 2 weeks later saying I got approved for 1300 store credit 2 days later I came to find furniture TJ Joe and heather all were SOOO helpful literally walked me through the entire store multiple times to help me figure out exactly what I’m looking for and wanting I will definitely 10/10 recommend this furniture store to everyone and I just want to thank you Ashley home furniture store for EVERYTHING you guys have done for me and my family

He sido clienta de Ashley desde hace más de 11 años.honestamente siempre busco precios bajos y voy a checar a otras tiendas de mueblería y la verdad es que siempre termino en Ashley. La primera vez que compré en Ashely(11 años atrás) tenían una tienda afuera de la instalación y tenían muchos muebles en casi el 70%. Están un poco indecisa porque tan baratos. En ese momento le había atinado al día que tenían esa feria de descuentos y solo eran dos días si no mal recuerdo. Los muebles estaban hermosos. Ahí mismo compré mi sala y comedor. La segunda vez que regresé fue mi recámara y después la recámara de mi hija y después la de mis hijos. Ashley tiene muebles hermosos la verdad es que cada vez que voy me quiero traer todo y remodelar de nuevo! 😅 La última vez que fue que fue el 11/17/24 (sale order 2043537954) iba solo a ver si iban a tener descuentos por Black Friday y salí comprando decoraciones hermosas. Los empleados siempre me an tratado súper bien, muy amables. Si no calificas para que la tienda te financie, tiene un programa que se llama accepting now ellos te financian y te ayudan a crecer tu crédito muy rápido no solo en la tienda si no en el buró de crédito también. Una recomendación es que liquides los muebles en ese momento o en los 3 meses sin intereses.

I purchased a mattress from Ashley’s in Arden, NC and was told by their sales representative that my old mattress would be taken away. Then when I accepted delivery the delivery man refused to take the mattress. What can I do. I have no means to dispose of it. I talked to their corporate office and finally to store manager. All I got was we’re sorry but we can’t keep our commitment. Done with Ashley’s! I’ll see what the Better Business Bureau has to say about this companies practices.

Buying furniture from Ashley Furniture was such a great experience unlike buying a car! We had bought from a different Ashley store where we previously lived and had a great experience so we figured we would get the same here. I had read previous reviews here on Google about Tyler and how great he was to work with. We were greeted by Tyler when we walked in. We told him what we needed and he gave us a layout of the store. He gave us the space to look around the store and told us to grab him when we had questions which we did. Tyler knows all of Ashley furnitures products well and was extremely helpful! His overall attitude is great and he’s super nice! Definitely someone you want to be around! I’m sure the other sales associates there are great as well but we only ever interacted with Tyler. He made the process so easy for us! We will totally buy furniture from this location in the future! Tyler also helped us save quite a bit of money! Giving us an overview of financing and payment options to save an additional 20% on the furniture! We couldn’t have been happier with the entire process from start to finish!

My experience was first with a phone call into the store asking about a nightstand that I'd seen online. Spoke with a lady named Heather who really went well above and beyond and was very kind and professional. I stopped into the store to check out a dresser that matched the nightstand to see if it would work for what we needed it to match another set, and I got to deal with Heather in person. That was probably one of the fastest interactions from start to finish to being able to walk out the door that I have ever dealt with with any furniture company. She quickly got into the computer what I was needing to order and I had paid and was out the door. Also the gentleman that helped me with the rechargeable battery pack for a couch and loveseat, I did not catch his name, but he was very informative and helpful with those as well. Thank you for all your help!

I had to replace some furniture after Helene flooded the apartment complex I was living in. After doing some research I decided on Ashley. Robbie was the first to greet me. I told him what I was looking for and he gave me a quick layout of the store. It was a relaxed atmosphere and Robbie was never far away if I had a question. Walked into the Arden store and was greeted by T.J., super personable and knowledgeable. He wasn’t lingering over our heads, gave us space and we didn't feel rushed or pressured. Very good at his position there and has a great sense of humor. I would absolutely recommend asking for him if you happen to stop at that location and if you don’t shop at that location, I would suggest taking the extra time to drive to Arden and ask for him!

We did not even intend on buying anything yet when we came into the store. We had some damage from hurricane Helene and we’re trying to shop around within our limit pudget. When we walked in we were greeted by Eric Demaaijer. He was probably one of the courteous salespeople I’ve ever encountered. He was always available for our questions but never hovered. We found an incredible deal on a mattress, bed frame, nightstand AND wall decor all together for under $2,000. I didn’t believe it was true at first, so we had to grabbed that deal before anyone else could. Thank you Eric and Ashley Furniture Team for being so accommodating during theses difficult times.

Walked in and was just wanting to look around at the sectionals. Tyler introduced himself and then left us alone. We had some questions about durable couches since we have two little ones and he showed us a couch that was perfect! Well, now the rest of story..have been waiting for 2nd delivery of patio furniture ordered in early June. When bought Ashley said July 22 -26. Joe texted me July 13 saying delivery on 25th or 26th. Checked in today with Joe....now August 21st. He said sorry. Folks, we hesitated because 6 weeks out from original buy date seemed too long, but...we bought. Now another month. Was told 5 people ahead of us? Did they forget to put in our order....
June 2024 Tyler was so helpful. Not pushy, seemed very honest. No run around and No back and forth checking with managers to waste your time.

TJ was wonderful. After a nightmare experience with on line ordering I gave up and walked into the Arden store and asked for TJ. TJ had helped me when I called the store thinking that the delivery to Fletcher would come from the store. It did not work that way. So after 7 attempts failed to pay for my online purchase I went to the store. TJ honored the quote I got online without being asked and placed the order. Gave me a delivery date and all was well. Payment went through without a hitch. AND they had the furniture I ordered in the store so I could see it. I highly recommend TJ and the Arden store.

Hello everyone! 👋 Since they want to keep blocking my review. Just want to share our Ashley Furniture horror story with everyone. On April 20th of this year my faince and I bought a dinning room table and chairs. On April 27th the Ashley delivery crew came and delivered the table. As they unload everything they then realized they do not have the hardware bag. So, the delivery men called customer service. I then spoke with customer service who stated to me that the best thing to do would reorder the harware bag and it should be here in a couple of days. Just to leave the table there. I thought that sounded good. So I told them that is fine since we are getting the hardware bag soon. Well 2 weeks go by and we have not heard a word from them. No one called nor emailed. So as I was working and my faince called Ashley Furniture Company customer service. They stated to him that the original order was returned. He asked why? They never gave him an answer. He then asked can we just return it since we do not have all of the parts and it’s sitting in the floor? They stated to him we can not return it since it was delivered even though the whole product was not delivered. In the fustration my faince couldn’t take it anymore. Then asked for me to call since I am a customer service representative myself. So I called with the curtesy that I expect from my customers. Once I called and explained what was going on the representative had the nerve to say we have already been over this with you. For some reason that set me off. I let them know that it was ridiculous that they for one told me to keep it, didn’t show me what I was signing at delivery, didn’t tell me in store I have 72 hours to return after delivery (even though it’s not fully delivered) and then to tell me we have already been over this that I am stuck with the product. The bad customer service to top it off. Absolutely not. In the heat of rage I couldn’t speak to them anymore. I had my coworker/friend call because I was to upset. My friend explained everything and how I was never informed of anything. My friend requested we speak to a manager. The representative that time stated that the manager would tell us the same thing but she would put notes on the account, make the manager, corporate aware and reorder the bolts. Once that was over I was upset but came to the realization we were stuck with this non assembled table in the floor. Today March 15th we received the bolts. My faince pulled out the instruction manual for the table. It requires 28 bolts. They sent us 8. Also the date on the package stated it was sent on April 27,2024. The package was never returned. They lied to us on top of everything. So we text Ashley furniture and then they said they can’t even find the account!? Then once they had a picture of the receipt they found us. They said they would reorder the parts and someone will contact us in 2-3 days. I hardly doubt this. At this point we are debating on getting the parts ourselves and not even thinking about it. We don’t even want them in our house let alone our property. Moral of the story is we have been lied to, drug around by customer service and scammed out of our money and product. I have included some pictures of our “delivered” table, the bolts we were sent and how many we received today. Thank you for letting me vent and share our story. I have told anyone who is looking for furniture not to go there. This has been one absolutely nightmare. I feel so stupid for falling for this. But I try to remember we are young and just bought our first home. Next time I will do better research. I tell everyone please do not trust Google. I know for our store near us they pressure you into a review before you leave. I would assume so there rating on Google will be high. But now we know and I hope to help other people will head my warning and stay away from this store. I have contacted the BBB.
We were shopping for a couch/chairs or sectional couch for a recently finished family room. We never shopped at Ashley before but it was conveniently located so we decided to make it one of our furniture shopping stops. We were pleasantly surprised by the friendly/no pressure customer interface. Available to answer questions but absolutely no pressure. This became a factor in our decision to buy at Ashley. Contacted number below and was a text only line, which shows good customer service, proceeded to text my complaint in a nice manner, no reply, tried to text again and was blocked from sending messages. Wish I could do NEGATIVE STARS! Salesman in store was great! But then the began! Upon delivery day we were told that our kitchen table was missing the parts bag, spoke with someone at customer service with the delivery people and decided to have the parts shipped and compensated for the delay and issue. They claimed it would take 6-7 business days to get. Well after more than 2 WEEKS of this 2,500 kitchen table laying in the floor, we received NO phone call, NO updates, NOTHING. Then at first I was told it was going to be shipped out in a day or two. 3 days go by and still nothing and no phone call or update. Second time I was told they couldn’t find us in the system and would call us back in 24-48 hours. Once again 3 days go by and nothing. Then to top it the third time I called I was told the parts shipped a week ago and was canceled for unknown reasons. At this point I just wanted to return it and not have anything to do with this company! But was told i couldn’t return it, only reorder parts. It’s beyond sad and ridiculous that we spent so much money on a kitchen table that has just sat in the floor for almost a month. Especially with no phone call from store or customer service, no updates no response. Pathetic excuse for a furniture store. I would never recommend to anyone! Crooks!

don’t recommend shopping here. my sister went to buy a whole bedroom set and before taking her cash a older manger walks up and told the employee not to sale it to her because one of the employees wanted to come buy it today. they are very unprofessional. needless to say they refused to sale it to her as it had a price tag on it and the cashier was going to check it out until the manger came up she was so rude about it. didn’t offer a discount on another set or anything. if it’s still on the floor and with a price tag on it then it shouldn’t be able to be took from me. it was not the cashiers fault it was the older female manager.

We’ve purchased many items from Ashley’s Furniture and it’s always been a great experience. Our salesperson Joey was exceptional we were undecided between a few items, and unsure what would fit our home the best so he gave us information on each piece with dimensions so we could measure our space and be sure we were happy with our purchase. I have only positive feelings about my recent experience with Ashley Furniture. The salesperson, (T.J.) went out of his way to help select the right bed that would match our requirements. He also agreed to a very positive sales price which was unexpected. The delivery was much quicker than expected which was a huge benefit on our end. The delivery crew was very efficient and left no traces of any residue. Happy endings are hard to find nowadays.

Do not use this store!! They do not take responsibility for their mistakes!We bought a 5000.00 mattress. TJ the salesman who sold us this mattress told us our old mattress would be taken away when they delivered the new one. When they delivered it they refused to take our old mattress and was going to leave the new one in the garage. We had to make them help us to bring the new mattress in the house and put the old one in the garage. We talked to the manager who said basically the removal of the old mattress was not put on the receipt that TJ filled out. So nothing he can do it was TJ fault. However TJ is his employee his responsibility since he is the manager. Apparently no one takes responsibility for anything in that store. Manager gave us some phone numbers to call to have it removed. Now we have to take another day off work to get it removed and do all the leg work. This was reason we bought the mattress there so we didn't have to worry about disposal the old one. The manager said if we brought in the receipt he would reimburse us. We will see if that happens. We called corporate who was no help saying it was the manager's responsibility. Who do you talk to when no one is responsible? I will update when we take the receipt in to get reimbursed. Beware of this store!

I had a quick and pleasant experience purchasing a couch with the assistance of Ricky! I will definitely be returning.
My experience at this Ashley was great for the purchase of the furniture that I was looking for. Our sale person took my driver license to make a copy for the purchase and failed to return to me. I realized I did not have them when I returned home over a hour away from the store. I call our sale person and was told he had indeed found them and would place them in the mail at the UPS store that day. It is now a week later and I have yet to receive them. I did call Ashely to ask about my drivers license and was told by the manager that he was told my license was put in the mail maybe Friday or maybe the following Monday. I guess after they make the sale they’re done with you.
Do NOT buy furniture from Ashely Furniture. I purchased a bedroom set in early December. After the delivery team left, I discovered some of the drawers did not work and a crack in one of the pieces. I immediately called to open a ticket. I have called every month to try to get my service scheduled to be told no appointments are available. They will not let you speak to a manager but promise one will call back that never does. I was told today that they will be here in May to repair. I have a drawer that is unusable. This is horrible customer service. I will never buy from them again. The sales experience at Arden was great but the customer support post sale is horrible.

While the customer service in store was great the furniture that was delivered was not the same quality that was delivered. I could have bought the same poor quality furniture at Big Lots. Bought the extended best warranty they have took over two months to get an appointment for a technician to come out. The man said the issue was common and parts and pieces had to be ordered. Random pieces have been arriving my house. I called Ashley to see when they might be coming back out to fix the problem and first available appointment will be late May. This is ridiculous!! I DO NOT recommend anyone purchase this brand!!!

We had nearly decided not to get two recliners but were met at the front door by a consultant, TJ McDaniel, who far exceeded our expectations! He guided us to an area that matched our requirements and guided us through our options without being pushy yet providing the information we needed and answering every question we had. When we decided upon the recliners we wanted, he then quickly processed all the paperwork and we were soon on our way with our recliners scheduled for delivery the same week. We had already looked elsewhere and were unable to find what we wanted, so we expected to quickly glance around, not find anything and leave. Between Ashley’s products, pricing and personnel we were extremely surprised and pleased!
Robert Mintz was s very gracious and patient sales manager. He clarified our need and led us through the lovely showroom with helpful knowledge. He gave us time to think through what we really wanted and then graciously explained purchase and delivery. There were no high pressure tactics. The sale price outdid others furniture stores. Felt like I was shopping for a car. Purchasing only a recliner and given the price minus 20% discount. I did the math in my head and the sales person came out $800 over. I questioned that and gave them what I would pay. I got the spill of “have to talk to manager”. After 10 minutes I left. I ended up getting the chair for the price that it added up to with the discount but why did I have to go through the whole experience?

Updated on 12/30 service after the sell not so good the delivery guys apparently cut our sofa while taking it out of the packing during delivery we paid for the warranty and the service department said they would make it show room new or replace it they shipped us the fabric and said to call when the fabric came in and they would send a tech out to repair it we have had the fabric for over 3 weeks now and after numerous calls still no tech and no return calls yet my wife and I love Ashley's home furniture store we can always find something in our budget we have now purchased our last 3 sofas from there Eric met us at the door ask how he could and pointed us in the right direction he didn't hover over us as we were just casually looking but he came to check on us and answer any questions he us a super awesome guy we ended up purchasing a sofa and love seat both that day

I recently purchased a tv stand and a mirror on clearance. Ricki helped me and he was as kind as can be. Heather really went out of her way to help me. I needed help putting the mirror I purchased in the trunk of my car. Heather and I carried it out together and had to maneuver around several items in my truck as well as pull the back seat down to make it fit. She was so kind. So knowledgeable and beyond helpful. His patience and support was amazing because i had some issues with my family accepting this gift and had to complete my purchase over text and phone calls from out of town. My experience with salesman TJ in the South Asheville store was phenomenal! I shopped around at so many stores looking for a sectional couch and dinner table but nothing quite fit my needs. TJ greeted me when I walked in, showed me around, and made the whole process enjoyable. The sales manager should seriously promote this kind and knowledgeable salesman. TJ made the sale because he knows how to connect with his customers far greater than all other sales associates I met at all other stores I went to across the county. The product was what I wanted. The service in-store was good. Delivery is horrible. It was supposed to arrive 7 days ago. When it didn't arrive I called the next day. They said that there were others ahead of me in the que to receive the same sofa so, it was it would be a week later. Now, 7 days later, I'm told it's not coming today. This is for a sleeper sofa that's paid in full. Apparently, they just care if they make a sale then that's where the service stops.

Me and my grandmother spent the day looking for furniture for my new move in apt. We bounced from a few stores in mind, however Erik Demaaijer made it a great experience to be in Ashley. He was able to answer all of our questions for a possible bed suit+mattress. Even though I did not get a bed suit from Ashley, I was able to come back and get a perfect mattress + box spring with Erik. Best service I’ve ever gotten, kind, not pushy for a sale, and delighted with the same service the following visit. 👍

He pointed me in the right directions by section Style, and when I found the one I wanted, we learned my credit card had expired from not using it in a few years ( that’s actually saying something about the quality all but itself), I was going to need to return with my husband after he was finished working. When I came back later, not only did he remember me by sight he managed to remember my first name as well and the little story I mentioned about me husbands job when I was in the store earlier. I was impressed, as a person that has worked in both furniture sales and just customer service positions in general, it went a long way to keeping my family as loyal customers, there is more to say about his going above the call of his duty but those are for me to know and you to find out why this experience has made him my new Salesperson of choice at this location!! I went in looking for a chair and it was running a Memorial Day sale. Found a comfortable one. It was discounted but the price was brought back up due to delivery fee. After my wife walked out they dropped that fee and I purchased it. The guy helping me was super nice. What he didn’t tell me is after he took my money there was no way to ever get it back! All sales are final. I found this out because they delivered the chair while I was at work. When I got home and sat in this chair it was the most uncomfortable chair I’ve ever sat in. Nothing like the one in the store. I returned to the store the following day the guy who sold it to me wouldn’t even talk to me he just sat and watched another guy give me a corporate 1 800 number. I called there and they said we do not accept any returns! They tell you each store is individually owned and they set their own policies. I’ve now paid $1,605 for the most uncomfortable hard as a rock chair I’ve ever sat in my life. I highly recommend shopping elsewhere! I will never shop at Ashley furniture stores ever again.

We spent several thousand dollars here when we bought our new house. We ordered two chairs which were supposed to be delivered in 4 weeks. 8 weeks later (and after taking full payment) they have no idea when they will be delivered, who to talk to about the delivery and don't seem to care. We also bought 3 consoles. Two were off the showroom floor and one was sent from the factory. The factory console was defective and was taken back and another one was shipped. When it arrived, it was in a box and the crew refused to assemble it. I told them I was concerned that it was defective and wanted to inspect it. They refused and left. Later that day, I assembled it and it was defective! I called customer (no-) service and the store. They were rude and helpless. Still no resolution with the chairs or the table. Buyer beware.

I was gonna write a good review for Joey Walker. He was great. Here is where I am changing my mind... 2 days before my delivery I get a call that most of my bedroom set had not come in and they were gonna have to deliver it on several dates over almost 2 weeks later. That does not work for us. We decided to cancel the order and go elsewhere. Then they informed me that because I didn't cancel within the 3 days, I was going to lose my deposit. Wtf?? So, your gonna be late by 2 weeks roughly on the order but I have to pay an cancelation fee? How? This makes no sense. They waited to call us and tell us about the order being late so that if we decided to cancel the order, they would still make money because it was less the the 3 days the require? I call BS. They knew what they were doing. This is why I am writing a bad review. Do not trust these people. The will take your money and leave you hanging. I'm sorry. I work for a living. I can't take multiple days off for deliveries because you can't get my order to me on time. Buyers beware!!

The Ashley Furniture Store in Arden, NC, at Asheville, is a jewel! It's hard to find a good furniture store anymore with so many people buying online, but this is a mammoth showroom well-equipped with even oddball items like we wanted--a sofa bed for a studio apartment we're renting till our full-sized house becomes available. We found it by accident (it didn't show up on google searches for "Asheville NC furniture stores" ) while we were stopped at one of Arden's many stop lights and there it was--a large building on its own and fortunately a large sign by the street. We went in and were greeted by Jim Trask, who is that rarity of salespersons, a superb salesman who doesn't try to push or "sell" you anything at all. Rather he explains, demonstrates, answers questions, shows you alternatives, and so forth. And let us sell it to ourselves. We found exactly what we wanted and Jim is arranging its delivery with the apartment manager, so we don't have to worry about that either. A wonderful, easy, and successful shopping experience! We were guided through our search for a massage recliner by Ricky Lafoon. He listened to our needs and concerns and offered suggestions for a suitable chair without being pushy. In the end we felt pleased with our selection and got a great price. We would recommend Ricky to buyers in Asheville area and feel confident that our recliner will be delivered on time.
We originally had measurements wrong which resulted in a couch not fitting through a door... The poor delivery guys 😅 But the second time around, Joe helped us out and got us a deal on a marked down 2 piece couch, which fit perfectly. It's much cozier than two office chairs!

This is not a customer's always right store. Firstly the salesperson who sold me the furniture refused to give me prices upfront and he said the more furniture I bought the bigger the sale. I find out later I paid 100 dollars more than what they were selling online. But more importantly, they don't allow returns for most mattresses. And when they mess up, like deliver something that's not correct or faulty, they don't go the extra mile to make your happy at the end of the day.
My husband and I had an outstanding experience in purchasing new furniture at Ashley’s. Our salesman, Ricky Laffoon, worked with us in answering questions, showing us options and allowing us to look around without being on top of us. Ricky was very professional and reviewed all information with full details and pictures. We look forward to receiving our new furniture in a few weeks.

Salesman did not know anything. The BIG Orange event is a joke if you go to this store. I looked at every piece I wanted online and knew prices. In store prices are MUCH higher. Was told that because online does not offer 60 months interest free. After arguing and showing then that in fact you can get those prices and the no interest financing online. I got close to the price offered online, but had to pay a significant downpayment which online says you don't have to. Ripping people off you don't do their online research. The price difference was over 2K. What a joke their reply is. I gladly text the number then when ask what I needed no response. The BBB will def get a call from me!

MAKE SURE YOU CHECK THE PRICES ONLINE BEFORE PURCHASE! Ricky the sales person was a nice guy and answered all our questions and helped with everything; although was clearly taught/coached on what to do/say when caught. The manager Rob was unprofessional when we caught them charging us $2500+ more than we could get it on the Ashley website. They are literally charging $1000 more (during an in-store sale) than the same things are online. For example. Entire dining set & chairs was $1600 but in the store the dining table and chairs were prices separately and came out to $2200 not including insane delivery & assembly fees that were included when purchased online, when we brought it up and asked for a price match the sales rep got the manager and Rob the manager started trying to speed talk through numbers and acting like he was doing us such a favor with the prices, when broken down, he was still over charging us. He was arrogant and off putting. Please just make sure you check online prices before blindly purchasing in store!

Purchased living room suit in late Oct 2022 they delivered the following Saturday the sofa had a cut in the fabric and damage on the side near the bottom. We declined delivery on that piece they redelivered the following Saturday again delivering the exact same sofa that we had received the previous Saturday. This time they talk me into accepting delivery and they will send the repair pieces and send a tech out to repair sofa. It is now end of February and we have received nothing but lies from both ashley home store and ashley corporate. They were going to exchange at 1 point but now we are back to repair. We supposedly have a tech coming on March 3rd but this is the 4th or 5th time we have been told that. We even purchased the extended 5 year warranty and it is a joke too. It covers everything until you purchase it then either they don't have a tech in your area or it's not covered by that warranty. (Update) finally got our sofa replaced on March 18th. Was promised they would refund our extended protection plan but it's been over 2 weeks and still no refund. Will update if it happens. Refund was issued for the extended service plan. While we love the design and look of our living room set Ashley furniture homestore will be the last place we buy from again. The independent places give better service.
For the most part this was a positive transaction. I purchased my furniture at a price the was ultimately agreeable to both me and Ashley. However, the attention to numerical details was lacking and that is why I can't give this 5 stars. I suspect this has less to do with Joey W's abilities and MORE to do with the restraints that Ashley MANAGEMENT put on their Sales Reps to provide/reveal detailed numerical information to their purchasing customers. This feels deceptive and deceitful. Again....not by Joey W but by Ashley Corporation for not itemizing their quotes with more details, nor allowing their employees to see this info. Working with Joey was a positive thing since he seemed to be working in my best interest and I would work with him again. Examples: 1. "Is delivery Taxed?" Answer: unknown..... 2. "What is the actual % discount being offered on this particular furniture if Ashley is offering "UP TO" 25% off" Answer: unknown (turned out it was only 10% after I had to do the math). 3. "When is the 5% VIP financing discount applied?" Answer: unknown....
Erik Demaaijer was just terrific. We explained what we were looking for and he led us to our dream recliner. Erik was extremely knowledgeable and patient with us. He gave us all the time we needed to feel good about our purchase. Can't wait for our recliner to arrive!

I went to the Ashley’s on Airport Road in Asheville ,N.C. In September of 22. I bought a complete living room set. When my Furniture arrived the sofa had a hole in the corner . I contacted the company and said would send a craftsman out to repair . My sofa table is a lift up top and when you lift up the top it has a spot the looks like it was a water damage . The back of my sofa looks like it has rolls of loose fabric and is stitched incorrectly. I have sent pictures three times . I have talked to different people within the company they emailed me a order number and phone number to call and set up appointment to fix . The number is incorrect every time !!! . I also took out the insurance on the furniture . Obviously that is a waste of money. I am very Disappointed in this company . Just hope the people read the reviews before going to the store . I am seeking legal assistance just want to give a heads up STAY AWAY FROM ASHLEY HIGH PRICES CHEAP FURNITURE TERRIBLE SERVICE AFTER THE SALE !!

My first review was before I received my bed frame. I gave them 5 stars based on the friendly sales associates that helped me through the process of choosing what was best for me. First time ever buying any furniture. I went to Ashley home store for a good quality bed frame that would hopefully last me for 5+ years. What I got was a damaged frame with many scratches, chips and broken pieces. They did such a terrible job assembling it. The handles were put it the wrong way. When we asked if they could fix it. We were told to do it ourselves. I’m guessing that part wasn’t included in the whole “assembling” process. The screw were in there so tight that when we tried removing it, they chipped off. I went to the store to see what could be done about this whole situation. I was told they couldn’t help and I had to call their customer service team. I did.. didn’t turn out great. I was given two options. I either had to wait for the parts to be shipped to them and for them to send someone to fix it ( In about a month) or I could get $180 Ashley gift card/ $170 back into my bank account. I was tired and frustrated with this whole deal I just took the money. I don’t want anything to do with this store anymore. This happened two days before Christmas too. This has been very stressful. Do not recommend at all. I’m sorry for anyone else that has gone through this before me or will go through this later on.

Update: Salesperson was great but delivery was not good. Delivery staff were fine but warehouse left off one of the legs for headboard so my bed has been sitting around the mattress in my bedroom now for 3 weeks and still no idea when the other leg will be delivered. So the headboard cannot be installed to the sideboards and footboard. Don't expect to get anything missing in a hurry with Ashley. You get told you have to wait for the piece/part to be shipped from the manufacturer and get promised 7 days then you call and call and after 3 weeks the item has still not shipped from the manufacturer. You would think there would be extra parts for a bed in the warehouse? Never, ever buying anything again from Ashley Furniture. Learned my lesson. So disappointing. And my nightstand had dings and have to wait until sometime in Aug for someone to come to my house and fix the dings. So another inconvience.

I just felt like numbers were being moved around to get a deal that benefited them before me. I was told the protection plan would be $149.00. And delivery would be $90.00. When I got the paperwork to sign, the protection plan was $199.00 and the Delivery was $139.99 When I tried to remove the protection plan, I was told that the discount in the furniture was because the protection plan was somehow discounted. I didn't see any of that in the paperwork. I like transparency. I didn't see any transparency in this transaction.

Don't do it. Wish I read reviews before buying, so kudos to you! My experience: bought a $4,000 power reclining sofa, got a free live Norway rat included with delivery! Spent basically an entire day for them to take any responsibility - which ended up being that they agreed to send a new couch and told me they don't want their rat infested couch back. Insane. Complained to the store manager about the situation - Chris Morrell - he basically is a robot with all the concern and empathy he had for my problem (meaning - monotone factual tone with very little care) - pretty alarming. Told me to talk to their customer service and that was it. Not even an apology. Don't give your money to a place with such poor ethics and customer service. Way better places out there.
I hate leaving reviews, especially negative ones. I have placed an order online. I didn’t receive any email confirmation so no way of checking the progress if I don’t have any info. The only way I could find out anything was by calling…which I did. I called six times. No resolution, no idea when my items will be in the warehouse ( when ordering website said ready for delivery), I was hanged up on 3 times out of 6. I was transferred from department to the department. I spoke to someone who refused to transfer me to the supervisor ( said they don’t have one 🤔). Only for the items I ordered are a matching set to what I already have otherwise I would cancel immediately. One thing is for sure this was my last order from Ashley.

I spent a lot of time there looking for a living room suit. I didn't need a chair and they said they couldn't take it off the bill or trade it for something I can use. I decided to look around and found something nicer and I didn't have to take something I didn't want or pay a $350 delivery fee.

Bought a sectional from them. Salesman took our driver’s licenses for application. We left the store never realizing he never gave them back. Fast forward 4 days we realized we didn’t have our licenses. No call from the store in the 4 days they had our licenses. Called them on Wednesday asked that they have them overnighted (since in NC you can’t drive without your physical license). By Friday, still hadn’t received them. Called them again, was told “We just mailed them today.” Ok what company and what’s the tracking number. Was told they were super busy right now and couldn’t get that information. Ok can you have someone call us back with the information? No call back. Still did not receive our licenses on Saturday. Called back and requested to be transferred directly to the store, done with this taking through a middle person. Spoke with Heather who said “I’d been out a few days. I just mailed them yesterday.” Ok can I get the tracking number? “I regular mailed them. Cause I had a note to mail or you’d come up in person Our GM is out and he has the credit card.” Absolutely not the conversation we had on Wednesday. They are absolutely worthless in assisting customers after they make the sale and fixing their own error. What kind of company sees that they have a client’s driver’s license would not immediately call them to let them know or try and get it to them as quickly as possible with a way to track an important legal document (USPS is so unreliable).

Repeat customer here, we ordered a new split king mattress (2 twin XL mattresses) and were given a delivery date 2 weeks out. We called the day before scheduled delivery and were told they didn't have them in the warehouse yet. The next day (the original delivery date) we got a call to schedule delivery another 2 weeks out. So we finally get delivery and it was nothing more than getting them carried into the house from the truck. The guys didn't even open the boxes the mattresses were in. $300 delivery fee for a 3 mile drive from the warehouse, don't even open the box and now we have to deal with disposing the cardboard. Never again!!!!!

I am so grateful we went to Carolina Furniture Concepts and didn't purchase through Ashley. My wife and I don't like Ashley at all. We bought a sectional from them that didn't even last three years. It was cheaply made and had no cushion to it. They had lied several times about various things, so we were happy to throw the couch out and go shopping again. Unfortunately, we ended up in Ashley for some reason, and my wife fell in love with a couch set. It was a much better quality than the first, but I was still hesitant with the store. We approached a salesman to discuss our concerns. We were met with disdain and the salesman ended up walking away without helping us. I cannot fathom what we did to offend him, but he told us he would not assist with discounts, had no warranty information, and he had other people to help. We went to Carolina Furniture Concepts, where we were immediately greeted upon walking in - something that didn't happen at Ashley - and we were invited to style a couch any way we saw fit. I explained the type of couch we were looking for, and the manager helped us look up the collection we liked at Ashley. After a couple of hours designing couches, we found that we were not a fan of the materials being used. Instead of disparaging, the salesman asked about our concerns with the Ashley collection. When we went over them, and she not only took the time to explain how the couch would be different, but she said she might be able to help us get it. The original collection at Ashley would have cost us $3,700 for three pieces and no warranty. Carolina Furniture Concepts was able to get us the same collection, a warranty, and an additional piece in the set for $3,200 after taxes. We not only received the collection we wanted, but we got it cheaper and feel more confident in our purchase than we ever have. I would absolutely refrain from purchasing here and go across the street instead. They are over priced, arrogant, and have consistently failed to deliver.

Our furniture was scheduled to be delivered and we received our confirmation email stating the date and time and when the delivery arrived outside of the time frame they refuse to bring it back and made us wait a month in order to get our belongings. I was told that it's my responsibility to be home all day and apparently that was in the fine print. Once or belongings were delivered, the china cabinet we ordered was not assembled. when I called to ask about it I was told they could come back to assemble for a charge. I would not order from this company again nor would I recommend it.

The level of incompetence is staggering. What should have been a very simple delivery has dragged on for 2.5 months, 3 separate deliveries, and we still have a problem. We paid to have a cocktail table built and delivered. Paid for it! They delivered it unbuilt. The drivers did not know how to do it, so they left it half built in my living room over a month ago. They promised to put in a work order to have someone come out to build it. They lied, there was no such order imitated. They threw me under the bus and I am still angry about that. Make a plan to resolve the issue, do not lie to me. Today they tried to deliver another table, also unbuilt. I refused the order. Let's see how long it takes to get a built and functional table delivered. I have rearranged my work schedule 3 times. I have spoken to management 3 times now and nobody seems to know what they are doing. I had a series of direct messages with corporate via Twitter, but they stopped responding to me. Cowards. A corporate manager this morning at least apologized for the bad service. I do not see myself ever buying anything from them again. Follow-up. After the 4th failed attempt at delivery we cancelled the order. My partner and I have both lost significant work time waiting for nothing to happen and will not do so again. We were told when we bought the table it would be built for us and paid for that service. Yesterday we discovered they never intended to build it and have company rules that prevent them from building it because it is not their product, it is an Ikea. This is not only incompetent but highly unethical. They offered us in-store credit and we refused. I will never buy anything from them again. There are plenty of places to get furniture. They owe us a cash payment to compensate us for so much lost time.

DO NOT PURCHASE AT ASHLEY. Sales man lied with lead times, he lied!!! We are at the end of May waiting for our furniture that the sales man said we would get in February. The times I've called for an estimated delivery time, they say that our furniture have not even been manufactured $10,000 paid upfront for ridiculous wait times and lies. NEVER AGAIN PURCHASING FROM ASHLEY and the comments here from the "owner" are useless! I call every week and nothing can be done! Worst experience! Do not purchase at Ashley furniture!!! People I talk to say that the sales person will return my call and has not happen for weeks.
Joe at the Arden NC location, was very helpful. I often feel like sales associates will hover over you the entire time but he didn’t do that. He gave us information about parts of the store and let us go meander through the different collections. And he would come check on us and answer any questions we may have. I feel like the product quality is much better than where we have shopped in the past and we didn’t go over budget. Thank you Joe for your expert service.

I recently had an excellent experience with the Ashley furniture store. My husband and I needed a new couch and they were incredibly helpful. We were in and out in record time with the help of Joe! They were also able to deliver in a week which was very important to us. Highly recommend.

bought 2 sofas and 1 love seat more than 2 months ago and still haven't got delivery 😢 and no help either so beware they make you sign papers without telling you that it could take 6 months or more so I'll definitely never ever buy anything from them and wouldn't recommend them either

If I could give negative stars I would. We placed an order on 6/16/21. We received one dresser from our order in November. Told the rest would arrive 2/25. Here it is 2/24 and I just called and they said it’s all estimated at this point. We can’t even get a refund and go elsewhere at this point because we have 1 dresser. You guys are a bunch of crooks and we will never do business again. Also I ordered furniture from Havertys the same day and we got all our furniture from them a week later.

Very disappointed, when I bought my furniture Corey stated that it would be 6 weeks at the most before it was delivered, it has been over 3 months and a representative with Ashley told me it would probably be at least 2 more months before the furniture came in, if I would’ve known this I would not have gotten my furniture from here, coming in here was also worse than being at a car dealership with employees bothering you every 30 seconds while you’re trying to browse
Paid cash for $28,000.00 worth of furniture in October 2021. It’s now January 25, 2022 and we still don’t have all our furniture. I didn’t order the furniture I really wanted because they said they would have to order it and it would take longer to get it, so I went with furniture they said was in the warehouse. Then, suddenly, it’s not in the warehouse! They don’t keep us updated. I only hear from them when I contact them! I do NOT recommend anyone buy anything from this company!! They are a bunch of crooks!! I’m filing a complaint with the Attorney General!

This review has nothing too to with the employees of the store but the delivery service used. Numerous times now stuff has been delivered and repeated attempts to stop the delivery drivers to not attempt coming up our driveway falls on deaf ears. Today was the final straw as I received the call from the delivery driver who said he was ten minutes away I said to him ok please stop at the bottom of my driveway to avoid spinning and digging ruts in my driveway or getting stuck. Well here he comes flying up the driveway spinning and digging until he gets to the top and exits the truck my wife says we clearly told you to not come up and destroy the driveway and his reply was sorry but it made it up. Well ok then sorry fixes it the holes just vanish disappear. After the piece is unloaded and a document has to be signed the overwhelming odor of marijuana would knock you down. Again this is not the store employees but the delivery service which is a direct reflection of the business and is disgustingly not acceptable

I ordered my furniture on 7/10/21 and have been waiting almost 16 weeks. I received an email last week saying it would be delivered on 11/03. Today I received a call saying the driver was 30 minutes away. Then another call saying he was 10 minutes away. 35 minutes later I call customer service and they say the driver couldn’t find my house and continued on his route! Now to top things off I’m told I need to call tomorrow after 2:00 pm and reschedule! That is crazy in so many ways. First off when I called the driver couldn’t have been more that 15 minutes away. In the mean time they would have to move my furniture around the truck or take it off to do the next delivery. Now I’m sure it’s going back to the warehouse and will be inloadsd only to be reloaded on another truck, who knows when. All of this increase the chances of my furniture getting damaged and for what? Why wasn’t it just rescheduled for tomorrow on the phone right in that moment?? To top it all off this is the second part of furniture I ordered from Ashley’s and somehow the first drivers magically found my house!

People are nice, however getting furniture is a huge problem. We ordered the end of May, told July 10th delivery. We got our recliner, but as of September 5th the bulk of our order still in the wind. Went down to the store 2 weeks ago to get update, our sales person moved to Greenville store, but we were told they will have her call or text status.....nothing, no follow up. Went to store Sunday to cancel order, were offered nothing to keep the sale. On the cancelation paperwork it said we cancelled because of buyer remorse. Asleys apparently is not being honest with themselves or us. Spent a lot of money there in the past...no more, will take my money somewhere else.
I placed an order in June over $4,000. Beginning of August part of my furniture was delivered but with missing parts. the parts were never ordered, but I was told they were ordered day of delivery. the. Then told all of my things would be here by today and call to find out a delivery had not been scheduled. I speak to a different person every time I call customer service. No one returns emails. I would never shop here again. Again I am waiting for furniture I paid in full for in June it is now September. Ridiculous!!!!

Just horrid. If you can deal with furniture that isn't assembled, sitting on your living room floor waiting for "something" to arrive so you can bolt it together, this is the store for you! Let's not mention being forced to make a dozen phone calls so people can trample in and out of your house and placing you on speaker phone with mysterious voice recordings, definitely your place to shop. If not, Walmart, Target, or ANY other store is a better option than Ashley.
We made two separate orders from Ashley. One for a dining room table, one for patio furniture. Neither order arrived correctly after waiting 4-5 weeks for delivery for each. The dining room had an incorrect bench and we have to wait another 4-5 weeks for an "exchange". The patio furniture arrived after 4 weeks without hardware to assemble, so WE had to make a call to have the parts shipped, and have to make ANOTHER call to have them come assemble it. I mean WOW, what a mess. Huge money and time waste. The workflow appears to work, it gets done, but the time you have to spend with this is frustrating. Never had these problems with other furniture stores before. Following up: So I texted the number provided below by the "owner". No response.
Absolutely a nightmare with shipping! had to wait a month for the couch and when it finally arrived the chaise lounge had no legs or power supply. After calling to request these be delivered I was assured they would arrive 7-10 days from delivery date I waited 2 weeks for the arrival of legs and still nothing I call back to be told that the legs wouldn’t even be shipped out until a month after!
I had a very comprehensive, and enjoyable experience when I ordered my furniture. This experience went so smoothly that I am going back to shop for a mattress and see what else may fit into my purchase!

Worst shopping experience of my life. Item delivered 6 months after purchase. Then, because we live on a mountain road, couldn't get truck to house. Sofa/sleeper sits in warehouse awaiting me to pick it up in a pickup truck. A bad dream. Buyer beware. If you can't get it "off the floor" at the store, you're in for a hell of a ride.

My wife and I bought a few items from this location a little over 2.5 years ago. We spent a few thousand dollars. When all of our items were delivered a few things we broke which was our glass laps and we had some parts missing from a piece of furniture. We reached out to the store location several times trying to get in touch w the manager. Never could get In touch w the person and never received a phone call back. Evidently they do not provide screws for the furniture to be put together, making it impossible to use the furniture. Fortunately, they said they would mail me the screws. Then what do you know, they didn't send ALL the screws, so the furniture is still not assembled after a month!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Never again!!!!!!
On January 13,2021 we purchased about 3500.00 of furniture and accessories, were told it would be a 6-8 week delivery period. Here we are at July 1, 2021, almost 6 months later and no delivery. I have purchased from them in the past and was happy, however this is totally unacceptable!
We had a horrible experience. We originally ordered 2 sofa sets at a discounted price and were told they would arrive in about 4-6 weeks. We were fine with waiting but after about a month we heard nothing regarding the estimated delivery date. We had to go into the store and were told that they had been discontinued and someone was supposed to have called us to let us know we never recieved the call. We choose another set they would give at the same discount price and instead of twobwe switched our order to one since the new set would not fit in our home if we ordered 2. They were supposed to get our contract re-written and apply the payments we had already done to the new contract. That was never done. When i called to make my payment this month i was told about 2000 was still owed on the contract and i knew that was not correct. It came to be that the lady never rewrote our contract and we were already done paying the sofa we had chosen. We delt with David Boyd originally and he assured me that everything would get taken care of with the change. I called many times and he said it was done then later i found out it was never put in the system. That was just ridiculous and we were very mad. They were going to charge me double for a mistake made by the manager and their employees. The lady i spoke with this time immediately worked on fixing the issue and got everything straitened out. Im not sure we will use them again i nthe future if this same issue were to happen.

Terrible customer service. Ordered a table before Thanksgiving of 2020 and every time it is suppose to be delivered they call and cancel the delivery. They come up with lame excuses. It is June 2021 and still haven’t received my table and they will not even take a percent off for the trouble or credit me back any money. I do not recommend purchasing anything from here. I ordered 3000 dollars of furniture and they said it would be 12 weeks to receive it. I was fine with it . Now 14 weeks later they send it to be delivered and the truck pulls in down the street for like a min ( live on a dead end road ) they back out and leave then I receive a prerecorded call saying we have 15 minutes to greet them before they leave. I've been home for hours waiting for the delivery. Then I call and talk to customer service who say they will waive the 79 doller rescheduling fee. How is this my fault? I will never buy from there again and I will definitely let others know this is what is to be expected.

Over promise and under deliver. Do NOT trust this store to delivery your furniture on time or have any special access request (smaller truck for driveway). It’s the standard sales technique of saying yes to every request and not following through on any of it. Order furniture elsewhere! 5/13 Update- the manager promised to have a smaller truck and a special team to deliver the furniture …surprise, they came with a large truck and could not deliver the furniture again. DO NOT USE this company unless you have your own truck and are willing to drive four hours to pick up your furniture.
In February 2021 we ordered Multiple rooms of furniture from Ashley ‘s. At the beginning of March we got an email stating that they will be delivering our living room furniture the next week. When our living room furniture got there we only received the loveseat, a accent chair and a piece for our bedroom suite that we ordered that can’t even be used til the rest comes. They were not sure why the couch was not included with that delivery but would be in touch with us soon. They then told us it would be 3 to 4 more weeks before the couch was delivered and there was no estimated date on the bedroom suit. On 4/8/2021, Ashley’s was at our house for the delivery of the couch which they lied to dispatch and said they came to door and no one was home so they left. They did not come to the door as someone was there all day waiting on them as they changed the time on delivery two different times that day!! In our driveway they did damage to our fence, support to our road to creek and post. It is apparent that since they did the damage they lied to dispatch and stated we weren't home and left the scene after damaging property. That is a crime!! It is absolutely sign of character for this company and river stone logistics ! This was reported immediately to Ashleys. The customer service has shown no grace! The most ridiculous experience that I’ve ever had with a business! Today I was informed by Riverstone Logistics, the company that delivers furniture for Ashley’s furniture, that Ashley’s had not even let them know a claim needed to be opened for the property damage. In February,We actually put money down and didn’t even have anything for well over a month and now daily we are having issues about trying to settle property damage and get the remaining furniture. At this point we would love to cancel all orders,return what we have and wash our hands with this company as I would never recommending doing business with them ever! We wish We would have read the reviews on this company! As you will see we aren’t the first to complain about deliver it lies about coming and no one at home! READ their REVIEWS! They are HORRIBLE! We have contacted Ashley furniture and there are over 10 conversations documented with the managing dispatching service there, emails to the store in Arden and reached out to BBB! Have we heard from Ashley’s? No! We have now contacted an attorney!
Very good mid-range furniture with lots of choices! Not the cheap-built stuff, like at Ikea or Rooms to Go. Good long-term Warranties and Guarantees, too! They always have something that I really want, and the salespeople are attentive and on spot, with knowledge of their products! This makes it my favorite place to shop!

Ten days ago I was at the store located in Arden, NC. I would rate the sales team a 3. They were a little lazy on that Friday night. Nonetheless I purchased 2 Queen mattresses and 2 foundations that night. I explained that we were from out of town and we would need to make sure we could be there for delivery even though they said they could deliver the following Tuesday. But we pushed it up further to the following Monday. They stated they usually didn’t deliver on Monday but there must be a lot of deliveries so they had opened up the Monday delivery time. So we drove back here on the Sunday before the scheduled delivery. On Monday morning (supposedly delivery day) at 7:36 am we got an email that said we were scheduled for Tuesday between 9-12. Being that we run a business we had not planned to be here more than 24 hours. The store nor anyone at Ashley’s said they could not do anything about the Monday delivery date. We would have to wait until Tuesday. To me it is unacceptable that 10 days ago this store scheduled a day and a time and then made no attempt to the customer about a problem in day and time of Delivery. I understand that things happen but it doesn’t take much to reach out to the customer and talk with them to see what the possibilities of delivery might be. They had no concerns for me as customer. BUYER BEWARE. They don’t take care of their customers!!

If I could have given them no stars I would have. I waited 3 months to get the couch I picked out and when it finally came time to get it they "claimed" it would not fit and left. No one from the store was any help and no one would do anything but the bare minimum to help us get our products. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THEM!!!!

Pleasant shopping experience. Salespeople obviously on commission as they follow you around the store like a puppy looking for a treat.Schooled well in "Ashley Selling". They repeat the same lines over and over. "We make all our own furniture" "There are no middlemen". "We can give credit same as cash for 12 months" and on and on. Once through with the programmed lines, they repeat them. I guess they're hoping to wear you down. Then there's the other salesperson's "testimonial" that they own that exact same piece and they've been happy with it for years. They do have very reasonably priced merchandise in the store. Okay, okay, yes, we fought something!!

Ashley Furniture should have fixed the problem the very first time a call was made to Customer service. .... it’s called Customer service... definition is that you fix and do whatever your client’s need that will make them happy...I would think you would want them to keep returning for more purchases ... You all LACK Customer Service. Your client’s spent lots of money... Client’s should be excited to receive their items or furniture. NOT.... Very disappointed with management!!!!
After at least 5 phone calls to confirm delivery of 2 mattresses to 2 different locations they still couldn't get it right and we only got 1 mattress! Then the lady on the phone and the 2 delivery people lied about the second mattress! And Ashley has done NOTHING to make it right, not even an apology! Never again! Worst experience ever on something that should have been simple!
I wish I could give a lower review, but one star is clearly the lowest. BEWARE: everyone who has posted a negative review is correct. My husband and I ordered a couch, loveseat, and chair from Ashley on November 30th. We were told that our furniture was going to be delivered January 7th, which was fine with me. The day before we donated all of our furniture to prepare for our new furniture. The day of delivery, only our couch had been delivered and some barstools. The barstools ended up being too big for our place so we got new ones instead a few days later and our salesmen Jim told us he would work on figuring out when the rest of our stuff is going to be delivered. He never got back to me and every time I called they said I would get a call back or an email. My husband and I both tried multiple times and no one ever followed up. Last week we got a call saying our new barstools and love seat were going to be delivered this week (2/16) and we only received the barstools (which we ordered in January). I tried to speak to someone at customer support and they told me a manager can get back to me in 1-2 days which is absolutely insane to me and not the first time I was told this and no one has ever actually gotten back to us. MY FAMILY IS SITTING ON THE FREAKING FLOOR BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE OUR OTHER PIECE STILL AND IT IS RIDICULOUS!! If we would have known everything wasn't going to be delivered at once we would have not purchased these couches or would have asked to have everything delivered at once. This is unacceptable and no one is trying to help us. We were just another sale. SPEND YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.
Ordered a twin size loft bed and a king size bed from here in October, that was supposed to be delivered in Dec. The twin size bed finally showed up in January, and I'm still waiting on the king size bed after almost 5 months. Today was the scheduled delivery for the king size bed , the truck showed up to my house to deliver the bed , the delivery driver said he could not make it up my driveway ( even though a different driver just delivered my twin size bed last month in the snow and made it up my driveway ) So I asked him, if he could not make it up how was my bed going to get delivered, he told me that it was not his job to deliver the bed and set it up and that I needed to bring my vehicle down and load up the bed myself and take it up to my house.. spent thousands of dollars for this treatment and for my bed not to be delivered today and post poned another couple months .. never would I recommend ashleys furniture in arden to anyone, nor will I ever buy from them again . The delivery driver was beyond rude . Oh also when I called ashleys furniture to report this and ask how my bed would be delivered if they couldn't make it up and they said they don't know .. great. What a waste of money and time. Who knows when the bed will be delivered or if it will even be delivered. The sales rep told us no longer than dec and here we are in February. Honestly at this point I'm going to just cancel my order for the bed and go somewhere else
They lied to me about my order. I paid cash for a kitchen table on 9-6-20. I still haven’t received it. Now they saying March 19th. They are not honest people. Or maybe it’s just me and who I am. Read between the lines.
Came in looking to furnish my newly built home. I was greeted by Cory and was truly impressed. He was exceptionally helpful and his professional advice helped make the processes of picking the right items easy and effortless. Also they have an extensive mattress selection so this turned into a one stop place for all my needs!
I bought two recliners for over ,$2300 dollars electric recline. One broke within a month later. Then the other a week or so. They would not let me return them the quality was terrible. I had paid an extra two hundred for insurance on them. They sent materiout to fix them but no one would come do it because of covid. Still haven't got last one fixed an it has been a year. Will not be going back to Ashley Furniture.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Never buy from Ashley Furniture. For one, the rep told me the bedroom set I was getting was the highest quality they have. Okay, well it was delivered and already chipped and dented on the foot board. When I mentioned it the very next day they said since my husband did not see it at the time of delivery they are not required to replace it. This is my $3700 bedroom set. Not to mention they took pictures once it was put together and the lady on the phone said you could clearly see the damage in the photo and said the delivery men should have realized it, however that still did not warrant them to replace the piece. Onto the next issue, I have still not received my couch yet and we are working on 2 months now. Onto the third issue, they have over charged me $900. My receipt from the store has one value that was financed and their credit card company has a value $900 more than my receipt. This issue is a whole other headache. This entire purchase has been a headache for very expensive for horrible customer service and horrible quality furniture. Save yourself the time and effort and do not buy from Ashely Furniture.
We ordered a bed frame in September to be delivered early October. That date came and went with no delivery, and they rescheduled for December 5th. I confirmed the delivery with them that morning, and then that afternoon they called and said they didn't have it. When asked for a new delivery date, they could give us no time frame at all for when to expect it. We are very disappointed and are now trying to cancel the order. It's not worth the seemingly never-ending time frame, since they've just told us we have to wait until they call us again.

My purchase experience at Ashley Homestore was excellent. Everything afterward was terrible. I literally cried multiple times due to terrible customer service and delivery. Delivery team ruined my carpets, did not install 16 handles (come to find out they are not contracted to!) and damaged my furniture significantly. I spent $1600 on a bedroom set and all the corners are peeling and cardboard stapled to back of dresser is gaping. Edges are rough, scuffs are present, the feet are literally coming apart. I am missing an entire board on the bottom of my headboard, leaving a large gap. I have had the set for FOUR days and customer care refuses to do anything. I did receive a $160 dollar gift card due to my carpets being ruined on my first call, but that was it. I was told too bad you have to tell us while the delivery folks are still there. Okay, I understand that&'s apparently the policy but here&'s the deal: Ashley&'s planned my delivery for a Saturday where I had a sitter, then cancelled with less than 24 hours notice (I contacted them because I had not received my email with time window and to my surprise I was then told it had been delayed the evening before) and came out on Tuesday instead. This was after waiting for nearly 7 weeks. I had no problem waiting, my salesman was very clear about the wait, that was not the issue. The delivery crew actually had me in tears they were so incredibly rude among the other issues. I did not have a sitter. Saturday was the first day my children have not been home where I could inspect the furniture meticulously. It has been 4 days. The delivery crew did not speak English and therefore it was very difficult to communicate what was happening. He shoved the phone at me to sign with no explanation of what I was signing. I have spent the last 4 days having my carpets cleaned, hiring someone to put on 16 pieces of hardware that weren&'t installed, and spending countless hours on the phone with customer care about the delivery. I would believe with such an experience a 2 day extension would be reasonably granted.After the online agent told me multiple times he could not help me, I asked one more time before signing off if he could please send me the rest of my bed (missing board) so that my toddler would not fall through. He finally checked into this and said he would have it shipped in a few weeks.Overall, extremely dissatisfied with purchase. I have 22 photographs, each one is a different area of damage to the set.

A few years ago I had a bad experience with Ashley Furniture. This time has been different. While both salesman were great the time for delivery was the first time was terrible. Over a year and I was still waiting. This time, unless something happens tomorrow, it will have only been 3 days.

I purchased my furniture during Covid-19 so there was definitely a delay in me receiving them for like 2 months. The dates kept getting pushed back. The customer service is ok. I only say this because it’s hard to get someone to help you over the phone. I had to drive up there like several times, and if you leave a message, the salesperson doesn’t call back which resorts to me having to drive up there again and being told to come back when a different manager is there.
I purchased a coffee table that was delivered at the wrong time. Very inconvenient. Driver didn't explain what he meant when he ask if i wanted to call the store when delivered. When I called the store the next day to report the table was scratched and too big...i was told I should have read the fine print. No returns I will never shop at this store again. I had to wait 30 minutes before they answered the phone. Once they have your money you are kicked to the curb.

In order to call the store you have to wait on hold for 20-30 minutes via their corporate number just to tell you that everyone at the store is busy, and you call back again. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.

I ordered a bedroom set and the sales person told my husband and I it would be 4 to 6 weeks. We just followed up with the order and they said it will arrive October 22nd. This is 8 weeks. The sales people will lie to you. They will have you sign a contract stating it could take up to 10 weeks. BE AWARE! I don't think Ashley Furniture wants to have a reputation for dishonest sales and to be known for cheating customers out of 10% of their order for cancellations(due to the false advertising). Wow, we were really hoping for a better experience. Good chance we'll be canceling our order this weekend.
Our couch did not fit through our standard door. I Didn’t even think of measuring it and the sales person didn’t mention it. We had to wait extra long for the couch to be ordered/delivered and when it finally was we had to refuse it because it was slightly larger then the door frame. Customer service was supposed to get back with me within 24 hours and I still have yet to have somebody call me back. It has been four days now. I will not be shopping here again unfortunately. They are more interested in the sale and not the customer. Update: 9/20 We still have not received a call from Ashley Furniture.
This has been the worst experience EVER customer service is the worst. I have been waiting for over a month for my furniture. The appointments keep getting canceled. I went in the location today and NOBODY helped me. The gentleman in the office simply said that sucks sorry. Then kept looking on his phone. I’m currently in the process of canceling my order . Never again. This place is a joke.
This is a terribly long story. I went in the Arden location in May to buy furniture. A new living room suit and a kitchen table and chairs. The in store help were very courteous and prompt. Our delivery date was set. We had to ammend our order due to size issues. We went back to the store 3 hours later. That pushed our delivery date out by 3 weeks. There were multiple issues with our delivery. They had to reschedule 6 times due to improper communication. The did tell me they were sorry about 500 times. It got to the point that I told them I didn't want to hear im sorry again. My family had our furniture removed July 3rd for a July 4th delivery date. Due to these people being incompetent we didnt get our furniture until July 25th. So for 3 weeks we had no furniture to sit on, or to eat on. And when the furniture did arrive, we had to rent a uhaul to move it ourselves. Then we had to assemble 8 chairs, a kitchen table, and a full size sectional couch. But Ashley's fine customer service reps were able to give me 180.00 off my bill. (The uhaul was 50 and it took us hours to assemble the furniture) I wish it ended there, I finally got my first bill and it is 1200 more than the delivery receipt and does not include the 180.00 they were supposed to remove. My credit score took a huge hit because of this error. I dont know if people read these or not, but I have a 10k credit limit there and I am going to pay it off this week and close the account. I will never buy furnitute from this place again.
Ordered a small dining room set, a king size bed and mattress. They called me 2 days before the delivery and told me that the entire bed was going to be 3 weeks late but will send the mattress and table. Im 6 months pregnant and have friends and family coming to town next weekend so I was banking on having this bed for extra sleeping space for my family. Well, delivery day(today) came and the table is broken. Im not exactly pleased. I cant be sleeping on the floor, its hard enough for me to get off the couch, let alone getting up off the floor.
I ordered a couch June 12th and they told me I would get it delivered July 6th, that got changed to July 21st and then the first week of August and now they are saying August 14th. I would give them a zero if I could... I think they just took my money.... I don’t think I’ll ever see the couch.... I’ll never buy anything from them again...I moved into an apartment June 6th... if I had not bought a loveseat (from someone else) I would be sitting on the floor...
This store is terrible with horrible customer service. I ordered furniture in May to be delivered in June, it has now been delayed 3 times until September. All without one courtesy call to inform me. We decided to cancel the order. I started the claim and they said someone would call me, surprise, they didn’t. Also, I will be charged a 10% cancellation fee for something that was their mistake. So who knows if or when I will ever see my thousands of dollars. When I called the local store I got a very rude person who informed me the manager wasn’t in and would call me sometime next week. Because only a manager can do refunds. Ridiculous. I will never buy from this company again.

Where to begin. I ordered the Caitbrook Queen Size Storage Bed and they delivered it on June 16th 2020 just to put the headboard together. 2nd the shipped out the missing hardware to then come out on June 30th 2020 to not put together the rest of the bed why? Because it's missing the drawers. Hoping to have a bed to sleep in next week NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO THROUGH ASHLEY'S
Wow, this was definitely roller coaster experience, but ended on a high note. I went to visit this location recently and really fell in love with a beautiful sectional. They had a great variety of couches to choose from, but this couch was the perfect fit. I had some trouble when first purchasing this item, but I called and spoke with Makayla, the Sales Manager on the property, and she was EXCELLENT. She listened to my concerns and emphasized with myself as the customer. She really went above and beyond what I even expected. I had called with all the intention of canceling my recent purchase and looking elsewhere, but she took the time with me and cared to try to rectify the situation. When you make a big purchase like this, you want to feel taken care of and comfortable. I didn’t feel like this in the beginning, but she really turned this experience around for me and I could not be any happier with my outcome. Her service alone is what would have me coming back to Ashley and her store in particular. She is an excellent manger and leader and sets a great example for others to follow in her footsteps. Thank you so much for making this experience a 10/10.
I will not buy from them again . All they want is the money . A few weeks ago me and my daughter was really excited that we was going to Ashley Furniture to pick out furniture for her room we picked out what we wanted then we went to talk to a employee about business ,They let us know that it will not be until today 6-9-2020 and that I just needed someone to be at the house when they drop the furniture off ,since then I have made two payments on the furniture and today they did not bring my furniture still When I called to see what happen Ashley furniture employees was rude to me and told me that I will have to wait a few more days for them to deliver my stuff and if I cancelled my order with them they will take out 10 to 15 percent out of my money I could not believe how they did me today.
It was very disappointing experience. When we bought our furnitures , we were told , you will have ur furnitures on May 30th . But we got nothing and we went back to the showroom. sales rep told us you should followup with customer care . My husband was on hold for 41 minutes and the end they were very rude and he was told that the order, there are not available till end of July . It was a very unpleasant experience. My husband and I decided to cancel our purchase.

This has been the WORST experience I have ever had buying furniture. I paid in full the day I bought my pub set. Set up the delivery date. No one ever came. They SAID they tried to call because they couldn&'t find my address. Btw my house is right on a main road. The only number that called during my three hour window was a South Carolina number that didn&'t even leave a voicemail. Then this store wanted me to pay for delivery again or I had to pay 10% more to cancel my order. Buyer beware and read reviews first! It was amazing how easy they made it to purchase this furniture and how hard it&'s been to get it or get my money back!Three weeks later still no refund still no furniture!

I bought a twin mattress. Nowhere did it say that it was a mattress in a box. I got it and it wasnt even in a box, it was just rolled up in plastic with no instructions or anything! I am honestly very angry, I feel like they should tell you if what your purchasing is a bed in a box and in my case i dont even have a box with instructions of how long to let it set. I'll be returning it as soon as i can.
Just came from Ashley on airport rd, arden I came in and walking around for 20 mins. No one offered assistance. Then went ro the main desk in the back. The staff still acted like they didn't see me or hear me. And I need 2 bedroom suits. Guess who not getting my business.

We ordered two couches and waited about 3 weeks to get, which ok as she did tell us this when ordered. Finally delivery day comes and we are given a 3 hour window 1pm - 4pm and told they will call 30 minutes prior to arrival. I am out of town still moving and my husband, even though extremely busy takes the time off work! 4pm comes and goes with no call or show. We called and were told they were on their way. Finally around 5:30ish they show up, very hard to understand as they barely speak English and leave the two couches. My husband was late to an appointment and ran out the door. After we return we see that one couch is broken and leg is folded in. I called customer service first thing. She even says she can see that couch is defective in picture that was taken by delivery guys. We first thought it was leg so she ordered a leg. I called back 5 minutes later after realizing it is the entire frame that is broken and buckling in! She said that either way she had to set up a service call and that would be 7-10 business days before they would call us to make an appointment!!! On Monday I called back to talk to a manager to see if this could be expedited. The person I speak to says that she would have manager call me back which I got a call back the following day. Manager tells me that there is nothing that she can do and then goes on to tell me that the repair people had not even been put in schedule yet and it would be ANOTHER 7-10 business days and absolutely nothing she can do to expedite this, which is completely absurd!! After this horrible service there is nothing that they can do, really??? So those days pass and service company calls and they are almost 3 weeks out. Now Covid hits, we are all at home without enough seating for our family and I am sure that this will be delayed AGAIN! This customer service to me is completely unacceptable and the fact that we had so many things go wrong and they were frankly not willing to do anything to help!!! I asked if we could return and of course we could not. We have now purchased a new house needing a house full of furniture but there is NO way that I would ever buy something here again!!!!! So to add to my review their repair guy came out and fixed the broken frame but left a scratch about two feet long on the back of the leather couch and nick out of corner. Dont think necessary his fault as he is a subcontractor and repairing a leather couch is not easy. I called Ashley and they will call me back in 3-5 days LOL... WORST customer service EVER!!!

I have waited 2 months I get a my bed then another piece but no sofa I called and complained they did not take my concerns serious. I was lied to. I fill I have been taken advantage of. Very disappointed and there warranty is a 3rd party that they fail to tell you.
The Ashley brand mattresses are never even and flatten on the side you mostly sleep on. Consider spending more on brands like Serta and proven brands of the like.
I bought a whole room of living room furniture. First the delivery truck did damage to my yard. The large living room chair was damaged and had to be sent back. Lastly, the two soda and easy chairs did not have the padding, softness,nor comfort the floor models had. I really feel the floor models were nice but I got a much cheaper set. Go elsewhere
We bought a bed on Saturday and it was delivered on Thursday, just as scheduled. The delivery people were friendly and efficient, and we love our bed. The store followed up with a survey, and Jennifer, our salesperson, texted to make sure all was well.
Jennifer was so helpful!!! I was stressed, and she brightened my day! Her customer service was excellent! I will be back!!
My wife an I went to the Ashley Home Store in Arden. We were met by Sales a Associate Eric who assisted us in selecting a bed, mattress and adjustable frame. It was a great experience. We will definitely be back to purchase more furniture.
I now have a FANTASTIC new mattress and a great recliner sofa. The salesman was quite courteous and allowed us to explore several options, and stayed within my budget. Thank you for the great customer service! I look forward to my next purchase.

I would give this store minus stars if I could. I my entire house with Ashley Furniture and purchase extended warranties on the bedroom and living room furniture.When I put in a claim through GBS warranty company they denied the claim giving me reason after reason as to why. I went into the Ashley Home Store for some help, but that was a wasted trip. The manager and sales person said to contact Ashley Customer Service. When I did I was told to contact the warranty company. Here we go again. Even though the managers in the store looked at the pictures and said it should be covered I cannot get the service I paid for.I asked for a refund of the money I paid since they will not cover the problem. Again Ashley said to contact the warranty company. I was told I could get a prorated refund, but they had to way to tell me how much it would be and it would take several months.This is stupid! Ashley Home Store will not help me and they were the ones I paid my money too. They should process the refund and go after the warranty company but that would be excellent customer service and that is not their policy.I will NEVER buy from Ashley again. They will not stand behind what they sell and customer service is nothing but a joke. There are plenty of reputable furniture store around the area to buy from
Not happy with this store! I have waited 4 weeks to get our furniture, I have 0 furniture in my home. The delivery came today and the couch was ripped. So now I have to wait to get my couch. In this order I was told my dining room table and chairs would be delivered and IT WASNT! I will never shop Ashley again! Such horrible delivery service!!!!!
This has been the worst customer service I have ever experienced from a furniture store. About 2 months ago I went into the store looking for a dresser. I found one I liked but it was broken so they ordered me another one. It was delayed getting delivered. Then when it finally was delivered they sent me the wrong one. After calling back multiple times they said they would send out the correct one. When the correct one was finally delivered they had sent me the original broken floor model. After multiple promises of making this right and discounting the item they are not returning my calls and left me with an expensive broken dresser. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
We purchased a sectional couch at the end of December. It was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks later. They called and confirmed the delivery time twice in the days before. The morning of delivery, 3 hours before the delivery window of 12-3, they called and said 1 of the 3 pieces was missing. We were very frustrated as we didn't understand why they were just calling us. We said we still wanted the 2 pieces as we had gotten rid of our old sofa the night before. They said ok. We waited and waited and waited and finally got a call that the truck was late and would be there at 4:35. At 4:45, the truck finally showed up with none of our pieces on it. We were furious as we had just spent a Saturday waiting on nothing. The driver was angry that his time was wasted (he is a contractor). We called the warehouse and asked where our furniture was. They said that they had decided to cancel the order without telling us or the driver since we were missing a piece. They even acknowledged that we said we wanted the 2 pieces, but they decided to cancel it anyway. Then we couldn't reschedule until Monday. The earliest delivery date was the following Tuesday, almost a week and a half after we should have gotten it. They should have gone out of their way to deliver it (or at least parts of it) as soon as possible. Once we finally got all 3 pieces, we called corporate to talk about compensation. They tried and tried to give us store credit, but we told them we don't want to shop there again. We finally got a small portion of our money back. This and the fact that we like the sofa is the only reason we are giving 2 stars. The lack of communication between the store, warehouse, and corporate was crazy and caused a lot of frustration.
We went looking for a specific piece of furniture. We found a piece we wanted. I called to see if I could pick it up in the store. The person told me it would be 2-3 weeks to get it in. I went to their website and bought it. It is going to be delivered with free shipping in 2 days. Not sure why the difference. It was also $80 cheaper on line. I try to shop local and try not to buy things online to keep local brick-and-mortar stores in business.
I cannot day enough good things about our experience at this location. Our sales associate, Joe N., was simply amazing. He was attentive but gave us the space we needed to make a good decision. It was obvious that he was interested in us as people with a budget, not about making the sale. Because of his sales approach, we will be back to him at this location for all our home furnishing needs.
We had a wonderful experience with our salesperson, Jennifer Hillyer. She is the epitome of an excellent salesperson. Very knowledgeable about the products, attentive to what we wanted, never pushy and all in all pleasant to work with.

We have been waiting on our furniture to get delivered for almost 2 months ,the delivery date has changed 4 times with no call to let us know ,the only way we find out its changed is by calling the day before the delivery date given,Talked to several different managers and no one has ever returned our calls ,Me my family and everyone I know will never shop here again after seeing how they have treated us,once you pay they don’t care how you feel,THIS IS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER SEEN,I WOULD NOT SHOP HERE AGIAN IF THEY WERE GIVING FURNITURE AWAY FOR FREE (IF THEY WERE DELIVERING IT YOU PROBABLY DIE OF OLD AGE BEFORE YOU GET IT)I wish I could give no stars because they by all means deserve a big fat ZERO!!!!!!!

We bought a sofa and matching loveseat from Ashley’s. Within 1year, the sofa spring board warped and the sofa was deemed unfixable. Ashley’s told us they no longer made the sofa and all they could do was give us an in-store credit. They would not replace the loveseat so we are stuck with a loveseat and sofa that don’t match. The customer service people were very rude, and even resorted to “sir, I’m just doing my job”. All after leaving me on hold for at least 30 minutes to listen to advertising bragging about how they are the worlds largest furniture store. Well Ashley’s, being the biggest doesn’t make you the best. After years as a loyal customer, I will never step foot in Ashley’s again. If you are wondering whether to buy from Ashley’s, I highly recommend that you purchase any insurance they offer because chances are, the furniture won’t last more than a year and if you don’t have insurance, God help you...because Ashley’s sure won’t! My advice is to run, don’t walk, away from Ashley’s!

I purchased a sectional and immediately it started sagging on the left side. Instead of replacing they send a repairman out that doesn't even work for Ashleys. He proceeds to unstable the back to look inside of sofa and then stapled it back all bunched up. It is obviously broke but instead of replacing they will come back to attempt to repair because they want the money from the repair. The extended warranties they sold me are useless!! Don't ever buy from Ashley's. The furniture is cheap quality and customer service is even worse!!

I bought a sofa from there 2.5 years ago for $1300. They were adamant about me buying the protection plan. Telling me that it covered any damages to the sofa and if they were unable to remove stains and such that they would replace the whole sofa. Well now that my daughter has gotten slime on it as well as my dogs dander, the insurance company is telling me there is absolutely nothing they can do for me. That’s extrmemly frustrating especially because the sofa material was initially the most uncomfortable material I have ever felt. In the store when testing it out, it seemed alright but having it in your house and actually utilizing it, it feels like prickly jeans.The cushions did not hold their shape at all and the pillows immediately had feathers poking out to where I had to replace them within a month of the purchase. I figured I’d just try couch covers but nothing fits. Oh well, I took the loss. Cheaply made furniture from China shouldn’t be sold for so high. The initial buying process was extremely stressful as well. Will not be purchasing any thing from them ever again.

Hands down the best selection of furniture and mattresses in WNC. Awesome prices and several financing options for everyone. The staff is extremely friendly, knowledgeable and offers a no pressure approach.

Had a great buying expierience buying furniture 1st time around April.Katie Flowers delivered great service and prices,giving us all the info we needed to understand purchase. Last vist Labor Day,well not so great,in fact bad.Sales Person Drew Hamilton was either very dishonest or totally incompetent.We purchased 4 lamps,total cost $423.00 was told we could have them delivered by Fed Ex,was not informed of any charges. Now,I called up on the promised delivery day to check in,see if there was any tracking info etc etc.Was told that yes the lamps were in,but there was no delivery scheduled.I was told my options were to go to S.Carolina and pick them up 4 1/2 hr round trip,or pay Ashley for home delivery by their people $80 or roughly 25 % I said thats not what I was told by Drew,he gave me no such info.She said they dont deliver to their store,no room.She said delivery cost the same whether its one lamp or a house full of furniture,so if I bought 1 lamp for $80 they would charge me $80 to deliver,or drive 4 hrs to pick up ??? Yes was the answer. I asked to speak to a manager,of course he wasnt available,still waiting over 3 hrs for callback,I guess he is busy with a lot of cutomer complaints. If anything changes,I will edit this.But,listen if you do business with them buyer beware,some of their reps are good,others like Drew are con men or dis interested.And apparently management doesnt even call back or is unresponsive.so get all the info before you buy,because you are on your own,no help coming. No promised callback from manager in over 24 hrs,so you can see how responsive they will be if you have any issues.
This the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Management is a joke and dealt with a sales person that said she had over 30 years experience and had worked at many furniture stores in area, that should have been a warning right there because she screwed up my orders and products came in broken and delivery dates where wrong had to get off work On two different occasions due to wrong dates. Then I was given a gift card for my so called troubles that took over four months to get after going by location on two occasions to follow up and ask for my card. So I go to location to use gift card and oh my is has expired only after a couple months. Management was no help at all and tried to get me to purchase other products that wasn’t even what I was getting before hand. Ten sales people sitting around doing nothing!! There have been a lot of unhappy customers at this location!!
My husband and I walked through the entire store without one of the ten salespeople asking if we needed help. Even sat on about 10 couches and went back to the one we wanted, still no one asked to help us. I assume we didnt look like people with money...........when we decided to leave because we weren't being helped, about 5 of the sales people were talking on the floor and only noticed us when I stopped and stared at them but didn't say one word to us still. Will NEVER give these people our money. The couch we wanted was about 400 dollars cheaper on their website for some reason also....

We bought living room furniture from Ashley Home Store in Arden in mid-June and even though we asked that they not deliver until all pieces were in, on July 31 they delivered all but a chair and a half. No explanation why the chair wasn't there, the sofa was delivered with large stains on two of the cushions, and one of the lamps was damaged!!!!! After going to the store that same day I was told that they would be delivering the chair on Saturday, August 3rd. Apparently somebody forgot to tell the delivery man because when he called us Saturday morning, he said he did not have our chair and that he was told he would be picking up something. We called the Customer Care line and was told that they had orders to pick up trash that had been been left on the 31st. After explaining AGAIN that we were waiting on the chair that was supposed to be delivered on the 3rd, we were told that that the chair arrived damaged and they had to order another one - first we had heard that it was damaged. We were told the chair would be delivered on August 13th. When I called today to try to speak to the manager, Leslie, the Customer Care person said they would receive it on August 13th and would deliver to us on the 15th. They tell us one thing, then when we question it, they claim they didn't say that, they said....... I'm so sick of trying to get them to stand behind what they say. Seems like once they get your money, which we had to pay when the furniture was ordered, they don't give a d....m about the customer. Their customer service is so pathetic and we will NEVER but from them again. I have warned everybody I know about Ashley Furniture and told them to stay far away because all they want is your money, and certainly don't care about the customer or correcting their mistakes. The people in Customer Care are definitely in the wrong business because they DO NOT care about the customers. The manager, Leslie, was sent a message on August 3rd to call me..........it's not 10:20 pm on the 6th and STILL WAITING. Does anybody in this company care about the customer or their reputation???????
Had a good sales experience at the store on the 4th of July and got a great deal on a couch. Thank you Bill Wright but this is where my "Warm Fuzzies" stopped as the delivery was the worst I have ever experienced in my entire adult life. First attempt was a No Show, No Call which was very unprofessional and unacceptable. Not once did anyone try to reach out and apologize and explain the situation. I finally received delivery of my couch 23 days after I purchased it, again with no apologies or explanations. I always try to purchase items locally and I told Bill at the time of sale that I would also be purchasing a recliner in the next week or so. After the above experience, I purchased elsewhere and received one day, no charge delivery. It is highly unlikely that I will ever be coming back to do any further business. Shame on you !!

Of all the furniture stores - this one is the least annoying. They don't pester you like others - they're very friendly and the furniture is decently made. I had an issue with some of the cushions my couch came with and customer service was courteous and fast at figuring out a solution.

They have a large showroom with a lot of great quality furniture. The dinning room sets are up front. Livingroom sets are upfront and all around the middle of the main showroom with bedroom furniture off to the sides. They have a separate back showroom for kids bed room. They offer furniture protection which if not used after 5 years can be used as a store credit. Check their website for better deals.
Keep the vultures away from the door. As soon as you enter, they are on you like they have not had a sale in months...

I was very pleased with the service at the Arden store as we went to look at the couch we wanted and they were very helpful with helping us choose. Although, we did not like it would take 3 weeks we were fine and made arrangements to take off work. We left work to be home in time for delivery as we got a call the day before confirming our appointment. We did not have a set time so I logged onto the website to track the truck only to see that status of delivery is CANCELED!!! Not only was it canceled but we did not even receive a phone call. We will NOT be shopping here again. We paid a pricey amount for a couch that is not even being delievered when we made sure to take off work to be home and make sure to be able to receive this. I called to speak with them to ask why we did not receive our couch or a call and they had no explanation as to why this happened. Very disappointed with this experience and will not be back here to shop. We tell them we want our money refunded since THEY DID NOT call or deliever. So they want to charge us a 10% fee for a refund. Ridiculous!!! Save your time and money. So not worth it.
I am so angry at Ashley Furniture! Our sofa, chair & end table were supposed to be delivered today. As a matter of fact, we've received numerous phone calls all week long attesting to this, including this morning. However, when the driver arrives, he tells us they only have the chair & our end table. And it is in the box in pieces and he doesn't have the sofa at all! He doesn't know why they didn't send it or when it will be delivered! He calls customer svc for me on my phone, hands it back to me, then bolts!!! After being transferred to 3 different ppl, speaking with 2 supervisors, being told 3 different things, I STILL DO NOT KNOW WHERE MY FRICKIN' SOFA IS, NOR WHEN IT WILL BE DELIVERED!!! They are saying we'll have to wait until tomorrow after 2 PM before they can even see my order!!! I then say I want a refund and they can come pick up they chair and end table. At that point, she tells me that I've accepted the furniture and I can't return it!!! Wait, what??? WTH? That's when I got the 3 supervisor on the phone!!! I am still waiting on the 4th supervisor to call me back!!!! I AM DONE WITH ASHLEY FURNITURE!!! THE WORST COMPANY I'VE EVER DEALT WITH!

Arden store was very helpful for my wife and I, we appreciate every little detail that we were given about this buying process. We purchased a sofa and a loveseat (microfiber) its amazing!. We have enjoyed every experiance with Ashley's Furniture of Arden. Our salesperson was Judy Frederick, and the manager helped us out alot! They rock!
Spent a few thousand dollars here a few months ago. Had them deliver the furniture. Now I&'m moving and I&'m noticing that the sub human dipshits they hired to deliver furniture literally mangled and stripped every damn screw in all of our beds. Don&'t buy from this place. Every single person working in this location is an incompetent waste of flesh.
I am not normally someone who would leave a bad review, but I feel like I need to let others know this. I bought 2 lamps from Ashley's on 4/1 and because they were floor models, I had to order them and have them delivered. The salesperson said that I could not have them delivered to the store for pickup, so I decided to have them delivered by UPS to my work. On 4/19, they were sitting at the top of my steps at home. I am glad that they were not stolen, but when I opened them one was broken and the other had a crack in it. I assumed they were probably dropped. I called the store to speak to my salesperson (who is a manager) and she had left for the day. They told me to call back in the morning. I called Saturday morning and got a Customer Service person and my salesperson was with clients. She asked what the situation was and I told her. She said no problem, just bring them back to the store and they would refund my payment. I was really pleased that they were making my disappointment from the broken lamps better. But I was too quick to think that. So, Sat. morning I took them to the store. They immediately said, oh, we can not take them back here. I talked to my salesperson and she called the corporate office. Even though there is a UPS drop off right across the parking lot, they were unwilling to run the paperwork and return them for me or call UPS and have them picked up from them. Instead, I had to reload them in my car and wait for a call and paperwork to return them myself. It is mid-morning Monday and no call yet. When I bought the lamps, I had trouble finding someone to talk to about them and when I finally found a salesman who agreed to come look at them with me, he seemed eager to get away, I guess since I was just buying lamps, even though I said that I would be looking at couches and recliner chairs soon. I feel like Ashley's let me down as a customer in not being willing to go the extra step and do something quite simple by returning the lamps or having them picked up there for me. They simply seemed not to care. I am anxious to get my refund, but will not be returning to Ashley's to purchase the furniture that I will need. Disappointed Customer!!

Let me get this out of the way right off the bat. The actual store is good. The employees are nice when you go in to look at the furniture and really assist in making that commissioned sale. That&'s where the customer service STOPS. This is going to be a little long but trust me, its relevant to YOU. Just follow along and ill try and be brief as possible. This is the 2nd time we have ordered from Ashley. 1st time was furniture. Set a delivery date which was around a month out. When the time came... delivery delay. Ok that was annoying but it happens. Furniture came... damaged. They said they would mail parts and send someone out. They did. They sent the wrong parts.... not once... but TWICE. Now we have the aparently correct parts sitting in our closet because we dont want to have to take time off for the wrong parts... Fast Forward a year. We go in and buy 2 grand worth of entertainment center and end tables. Delivery postponed again... then on the morning of delivery we get a call saying.. truck is 15 mins away... oh btw we only have the sides of your entertainment center and some lamps. At this point we had already disassembled everything for the install the night before. Living room was a mess. I am trying to talk to the customer service lady and all she keeps telling me is.... stuff like this happens you signed and agreed in your TOS. Whatever.. they arrive with the 2 sides and some lamps. Guess what... entire side of one of the pillars was cracked. A large footprint on the inside where someone obviously just kicked it or walked on it when putting together. Again.. customer service just emotionless robots. I am not exaggerating here nor am I being dramatic.. robots. We tell them we dont want it, we dont want the rest of the order. They tell us they are going to charge us a 10% restocking fee and charge us to come pick it up. If we want to take it back ourselves we have to drive it to their warehouse 3 1/2 hours away. Even though we don&'t have all of the stuff... we still have to pay the restock fee on those pieces. They told us we had 3 days to cancel our order without penalty... 3 days from the time we ordered..... which was a month before it was delivered. How are we as customers suppose to know its going to be beaten down and broken before its delivered. So OK fine. Charge me but come get your crap. They set 3 different times over the course of a month and half and no call no showed TWICE. We took 2 days of time off work and couldn&'t even be bothered with a call. Finally they came and got it. In the meantime no money has been refunded to this day... Over 2 months after the order and after we told them we didnt want there abused furnishings. Contacting the in store rep was pointless. Her name was Jennifer Hilyer and she was extremely pleasant when we were buying... now you can&'t even get through to her and I have only tried calling twice. Its not like I have been blowing them up wanting my money. I have emailed 3 times and have gotten short responses and &"ill see what I can do&" type replies. There are so many more stories like these about Ashley. Do your research and know that if you have a problem you are STUCK wit hit because they will not bend their TOS to help you and they will not waive that restocking fee. I promise no matter how much you think you will go off on someone and you think you can put pressure on them they will not do it. You can tell that customer service is use to these calls because they are emotionless. Trust me... look somewhere else.
We had such a great experience with this store, our sales associate in particular...Katie Flowers went over & above every reasonable expectation a customer could set. She assisted from the initial store visit all the way through the delivery. Navigating us through a gracious price match, a product change & a push in delivery date. I’m all for good service, but nobody’s email thread should be as lengthy as ours over living room furniture...yet her patience & kindness never wavered. This was our first time working with Ashley Furniture, but pretty sure Katie has made us customers for life.
We bought a three piece living room suite in January. We noticed that on the arm of the couch it is a spot that is peeling. We purchased the extended warranty for the furniture also. We took pictures of the couch and they now tell us it is not covered under the warranty. Also the sales rep told us it was leather which we now know it is not. This store needs to School the reps on the furniture that they sale. We will not be buying from them any more. We will tell all about the awful furniture they have.
I highly recommend shopping at Ashley Homestore in Spartanburg, SC . I LOVE THIS STORE!! They are very friendly and helpful. They DO NOT pressure you in any way, just let you look as long as it takes. My SalesMan was Mason Wilson. MASON WILSON IS THE BEST!! He answered of of my questions and he was SUPER NICE and PROFESSIONAL!

This is our 2nd time purchasing furniture. This experience was horrible and very non professional. We were given a delivery date of Feb 19th. Both my husband and I got voice messages stating so today. As a courtesy call, I called them back just to confirm. I was then told the items were rescheduled to be delivered on March 12th. Now, not once in either of our voice messages were we told March 12th. The customer service was horrible when I called, so horrible that I hung up and called the store directly. The lady on the other end refused to let me speak to the initial sales clerk that helped me with this purchase. When I told her I would most likely cancel the order and go else where she then advised me there was a 10% cancellation fee... now mind you , I have not even received these items nor was I ever told these items were now not in stock. I was also told that if I had cancelled this order within 3 days of purchase, there wouldn't have been a cancellation fee. Customer service didnt bother to give me a courtesy call letting me know these were not in stock!!! If they had I would have cancelled in my 3 days... I cancelled this order, and I refuse to pay anything... I will never recommend, nor buy anything ever again!!!!! Julie Belval - Arden, NC
Paid over $1700 for couch. Got an email saying delivery would be 1-2 weeks. Isn’t her a thing for a week, called to complain. Was on hold for over 30 minutes and no one ever picked up. The next morning I get an email saying it would be delivered the very next day between 12-3, lovely to give such short notice. After waiting I get a message saying truck was stuck and they would resolve issue and call shortly with new time. After 7pm I get a call saying it would be here 2 days later. Horrible communication from A to Z. Never again.
Never again! I created this account specifically Ashley Furniture. Spent $3,600 there on Jan. 1st. We had our mattress and bed picked out somewhere else but they convinced us they could match the price we got somewhere else. So we said ok! Delivery was set for the soonest available which was over three weeks. Jan.24, I took off work, sat around for 2.5 hours to have them call me and say the base for our new mattress came damaged, they would order another and have it expidated. I call just now and they tell me, new delivery date is this Thursday. Nothing they can do. Our definition of expedited are completely different. Now they say after it’s delivered call back to talk about being compensated. Sleeping on a $1,600 mattress with $300 sheets on the floor for a week because we did what we were supposed to do and had our old out. Thanks Ashley
DO NOT BUY A MATTRESS FROM THEM!!!!!!!! My mom bought a $1200 king size memory foam mattress two weeks ago it just arrived a few days ago. When they came to set the bed up the box to the brand new frame was open and missing a piece so they couldn’t even set the bed up properly. My mom then had to set her new bed up in the floor cause she got rid of her old bed to accommodate this new one without a frame to set it up on. After the first night she slept on the bed she realized that it was so uncomfortable she couldn’t sleep on it. The following day she called and spoke with customers care and explained the situation to them and they told her no exchanges or returns(was not explained to either of us) which is ridiculous considering that she had spent so much money on the mattress alone. Today (1/27/2019) we went back to the store to speak with Katie the sales associate we bought the bed from and her supervisor who in turn both had a bad attitude (conversation was recorded) still proceeding to tell my mom she is stuck with a $1200 mattress she can’t sleep on. I would not recommend them at all especially not to buy a mattress.

Bought a new sofa from Ashley Furniture on Airport Rd. Within a year and very little use we started to have issues with the frame. Called Ashley and basically they said the extended warranty we purchased was only on the fabric. Called a local furniture repair person that Ashley recommended, who came out and took the sofa apart. He was totally shocked and stated that apparently the sofa had been severely damaged and the frame has been put back together using staples and broken pieces of wood, and had been resold as new. We called Ashley and sent photos, with no luck from the very non-responsive staff. We will never buy furniture from there again!
We had a lovely experience buying a couch with Bill from Ashley yesterday! He was pleasant and patient with us, making sure we were happy with the entire process of our purchase. I cannot wait to get our new sofa, I just wish it could be delivered sooner!
So you have professional furniture repair people, where are they.
Two years ago we purchased over $2000.00 worth of furniture. $700.00 for a recliner. We also purchased a 5yr extended warranty. Now the padding on the seat is all bunched up. The Ashley rep says the warranty is expired . So spill something on it to make a stain. Then call the insurance company. Duhh, You want me to damage my furniture to get it repaired ?. Good Bye Ashley Furniture. Never again.
We purchased a >$4000 leather sectional. Within 6 months, the electric recliner mechanism failed on one of the end pieces. We called for a warranty repair. When the repairman arrived he determined that we had an older model and parts are no longer available for it. (After 6 months?) A replacement recliner wouldn't match the leather of the remaining sectional pieces. We were told to come pick out another sectional. We found one that was nearly identical, but we were informed that it would cost us $900 extra because it's a "new" model. They would not budge. I called the corporate office and they were even less helpful. We finally agreed to pay $350 more for essentially the same couch/sectional. I'll never step foot in another Ashley's.
I had a wonderful experience with Tyler yesterday. Very low pressure, and we found exactly what we needed for our new house. Thanks Tyler!

Very good until….. purchased living room set and agreed to wait for. It’s been over two months and family coming to town. Was told had no idea when was coming in. I had to cancel and was charged a10% restocking fee. How can you restock something they don’t even have was my question with no answer. Will never spend my hard earned monies here in future for sure.
I had the worst experience EVER by buying furniture at Ashley Home Store! I walked in to purchase a living room suite. I told the sales person right up front, I DO NOT WANT DURABLEND! She looked me straight in the face and said, "Oh no mam' we don't even sell Durablend anymore. It was a bad product". So I asked her to show us leather. She took us to a set that was soft. I asked if it was real leather, seems too soft. She said yes Mam' it is a very soft leather. I bought the sofa, and love seat. I only had it a little over three years, and guess what....it started to peal. I went to the store and told them. He gave me an email address so that I could turn in a claim. They agreed to give me my money back on that piece, after sending pictures. They asked for a picture of the serial number, and told me where to find it. I found it alright! Right next to the label that said DURABLEND! LIars! So I asked about the other piece, since I had purchased the whole set, because I wanted a matching set. After all that IS what I paid for. So I went to the store to get my money back. Oh No Mam, you have to use that money with Ashley....Really??? Why??? It was my choice to walk into your store to spend it in the first place. It should be my choice where to spend it for being lied to, and you selling me crap! Ok, so I told them I wanted to buy a King Size bed. Oh no Mam, we don't sell that bed here. Why not? It is on you web site. Mam, that is online only. Ok, so order the bed, and apply my credit to the bed. Oh no Mam, that money is for in store only. Ok, so I pick out 2 recliners, and a sofa. Had them send me an invoice so that I would know what I would owe. Then I see, at the bottom, a charge for $249.99 for something called Ashley DASH. I call back. What is Ashely DASH. Oh, that's the delivery. $250 for delivery??? Then take the delivery off, and I'll pick it up myself. Oh, No Mam, the delivery stands. That's what we charge to go pick it up and bring it to the store. You have got to be kidding me!!!!! Thanks for absolutely nothing Ashley Home Store! You are all a bunch of liars. And your furniture is cheap junk!!!! $2000 for furniture that only lasted 3 years! You are no better than a scammer, as long as you can screw someone over!
5 years ago I bought a couch here and it was a very pleasant experience - knowledgeable sales staff who seemed intent on getting me the best deal possible. With that purchase I bought a warranty that, if not used in 5 years, would earn me store credit. Returning to spend that credit I ended up looking to replace my aged mattress and bedframe. Initially the purchase took several missteps in part due to low staffing that day and the sales person being new to the trade. Some prices were misquoted, some incorrect information was shared...Overall it was a frustrating, lengthy and disappointing experience. That said, upon learning of my dissatisfaction, the store quickly contacted me to restore my positive impression. And that they did. The professionalism and care for the customer was evident and Ashley went above and beyond to match their quality merchandise with spectacular customer service. They remain head and shoulders above the competition (Carolina furniture concepts specifically) in value, customer care, selection, pleasant shopping experience and overall service. Thank you Ashley for caring enough to follow up. It makes all the difference.
