Fantastic experience and customer service at Ashley’s Furniture. Shane went above and beyond to make sure that our vision for furnishing our first home was fulfilled.

Charles from the Ashley Store was helpful, knowledgeable, and kind! He didn’t hover and let me explore the store on my own (which was exactly what i needed) and then come to him when I had questions. He gave me water while I was looking around. Not pushy but made himself available for any of the questions I had.

We had a great experience at Ashley’s and particularly working with Charles (I don’t put in last names in case it becomes a problem for the person). He greeted us as we entered, but when we told him that we were looking around, he left us alone. My wife and I spent a good 30 to 40 minutes looking at specific pieces of furniture, measuring them, discussing them, and rank ordering. It was only when he saw us slowing down that Charles approached us again, and asked if he could help us. We were ready at that point as we had made all of our decisions without being pressured. In contrast, when we went down the hill to Haverty’s the sales person, Janice, I believe, would not give us space. She followed us around constantly and any time we paused to discuss things amongst ourselves in private, she came right at us and hounded us. We walked out because of this. In closing, I can highly recommend Ashely‘s Asheville and in particular working with Charles. It was a great experience.

Melissa, was a great help finding what we wanted, and helping us save money, and made it a pleasant experience.

Pleasant and fruitful experience purchasing several pieces of needed furniture at Ashley Furniture today. Charles was our helpful, pleasant, effective and non-pressuring sales executive. I’ve trained high tech sales pros for many years and know a good sales person when I see one. Charles is that. We so appreciated this and will return when we need more furnishings and highly recommend this store and sales person.

They were very friendly. Let me look at my leisure. Sat on a lot of chairs. Love the recliner I bought. And the table. It was getting hard for me to get out of my old recliner. It is manual. I love the choices they had of all furniture. Will go again.

Went in in my work clothes, and was treated no different than if I was in a suit, I’ll let them know what I was looking for. Unfortunately, they don’t carry that style chair anymore, but showed me some other chairs and couches with the massaging features. They let me lay on it as long as I wanted and let me do my thing with it. Of course I decided to buy it but there was no pressure. The associates were great. They’ve got a phenomenal selection and I’ll definitely be buying furniture from them again.

My husband and I were looking for a few furniture items for our new home in Asheville. We had heard positive comments about Ashley and we stopped in on a Saturday in mid August. They had a nice selection and the salesperson Taylor, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the dining room set that caught our attention. Their selection was wide ranged, priced competitively and the customer service was the clincher. We are looking forward to our delivery! They had great deals and multiple options.

Just bought a house in the Asheville area. Needed furniture for the whole house but looking at various stores for what I needed/wanted. First time in, Patrick offered to assist but let me wander the store and come back when I needed dimensions since the house had quirks and I needed to make sure things would fit. So not only did he help me with my original order, when another store couldn't deliver he helped me fill in those holes. Love Patrick and the whole experience. Thank you.

Wonderful shopping and buying experience! Shane was our salesman and this man has gone above and beyond to make sure that we were totally happy with our purchases. He's very knowledgeable about their product line and got us totally set up with our furniture needs. Editing review 9/10/25: unfortunately we’ve had bad communication for delivery. Multiple delays, missing pieces, and a mattress now sitting on the carpet. Delivery drivers were helpful, but were mostly pushing things to sign at us. Working with Keith was easy, understandable, and enjoyable. He’s very snazzy and will work with you through your whole experience.

My mother and I visited the Ashley Store located at River Hills Rd in Asheville NC. My mother is 89 and was having trouble sleeping so we were looking for an adjustable bed. We had looked at several furniture stores and felt the prices were outrageous. We stopped in Ashley as a last resort and were pleasantly surprised! We were met immediately by Melissa, who showed us the various options and, even though my mother was exhausted from a day of shopping, Melissa managed to get her to laugh and enjoy the experience! The prices were very reasonable and we were able to purchase a bed that my mother is enjoying very much. I highly recommend working with Melissa at Ashley if you are looking for furniture. She was amazing!

Keith was wonderful! We walked in ten minutes before closing. We told him exactly what we were looking for, he showed us several options, and we decided on our couch in a cool eight minutes. He took care of our order then & there (this was the third store we’d visited). By fifteen minutes after closing we were on our merry way with delivery scheduled for 3 days later. The Diamond protection plan was a huge selling point for us. This couch will go in our home that will have renters for two years until we are able to return. If any damage happens during the next five years, it will be repaired or replaced. If we don’t use the coverage in that time, the money spent for the coverage will be reimbursed. The only con with Ashley’s is that there isn’t an option to pick up the piece from the warehouse yourself, so you’ll need to allow for delivery in your budget.

Great experience at Ashleys. Greeted and then left alone to find key pieces and then easy follow up on questions. We found a living room set on sale and were able to leave with it easily!

Came in on a rainy Sunday looking for possible couch/sofa replacements for aging in mother. We were the only ones in the store during our entire 1-hr visit. Melissa did an awesome job answering a barrage of our dumb questions. She helped us settled on a powered recliner that was perfect for a 70-yo recovering from hip replacement. She was kind, patient, and knowledgeable. Grateful for someone that was willing to listen and collaborate, not just sell us on something we didn’t want or need. Good, solid customer service.

We had an outstanding experience at the Asheville Ashleys. We had intended to just browse today but we were fortunate to be greated by Keith, a very knowledgeable and experiened sales associate. I purchased a lounge sectional and got the diamond warranty and was told almost anything could happen and if they couldn't fix it, it would be replaced. The frame on the lounge is broken and the lounge sinks in and keeps breaking more with a large indention in the cushion because of it and when I tried to claim the warranty they said it wasn't covered. I already left a bad review, was given a number to call amd speak with someone and still have never been contacted back. Don't waste your money on a worthless scam warranty.

My customer experience at Ashley was surreal. I say that from an experienced perspective. I was the lead regional Customer Service Rep for a network of hospitals in NC, VA, and WV. Also, I don't part easily with discretionary funds and am very weary of people who are schooled in masterful manipulation. All to say, I entered Ashley with every intention of masterfully alluding the awaiting sales hawk. So... as he approached me - his commission prey - with outstretched hand for shaking, before he could even introduce himself, I started into my script - "I'm just looking, don't intend to buy today, ..." He listened carefully and made eye connection and nodded his head in an act of respectful understanding but then, boom, he paraphrased back my intention - looking but not buying, not buying today anyway... Then he said kindly, while walking beside me, "if you want me to guide you to what you may be looking for tell me what you're thinking about and what type of space you're in and maybe I could help." What I heard and felt was - he comes in peace, he is more interested in my desires and needs then ensuring that I know his name and how long he's been with Ashley or selling furniture, or how many children he's working to feed... Before I knew what had happened - but certainly in no rush - we'd picked out my new living room furniture that was not exactly what I'd been looking for initially, because he had informed my choices by offering his professional experience about manufacturing, cost, risk, etc... In addition, he sold me a chair that was not - at the moment - available in the show room! He showed me a chair that matched my new sectional that had the features I wanted. But he didn't stop there. He patiently walked me around the showroom to chairs that i could see and touch that shared attributes of the chair he showed me online that was closer to my price point then what was currently available in the showroom. What he DIDN'T sell me was a matching oversized ottoman because he'd listened to me say that I didn't want furniture to overwhelm my space. He suggested that instead of purchasing it today, I wait until I can get a feel for how the sectional works in my space and then if I think it would work, come back and I'd still get the benefits of my purchase incentives applied today. WTF? Are you kidding me? This guy is legit! He's now a friend w a sales habit or a very stupid sales preditor. OK then, now that I had a new friend and ally, I reveal that I'd also consider a counter height table and chair set on sale that I'd seen.... Very long story abbreviated, now that all decisions had been made he was back at his computer to document our negotiated sales. I waited for him to excuse himself to go talk to the wizard in management empowered to approve negotiations (often from behind a silk curtain or upstairs behind security cameras). But, it didn't happen. The deals were done, a delivery date was set (sooner than I expected but greatly appreciate). The experience was other worldly. Surreal. Oh yeah, what is your name my new friend? Keith Flynn, he said, without a trace of ego. What planet had I visited? When can I visit again? Bravo and encore!

Ashley’s was our fifth furniture store stop. Shane greeted us upon entering and did not overwhelm us with “sales talk” - Shane asked all the right questions and let us browse the store offering what parts to start at based on what we said we were looking for. Shane is amazing. He knew the products incredibly well and made sure to guide us to what quality of products we needed. This was our first major furniture purchase as young adults and even though we liked a couch slightly better at another store we knew we wanted to be taken care of through Shane. We bought a couch, bed frame, dresser, 2 night stands, mattress and 2 pillows. Throughout the entire visit Shane was great to talk to and made the complete purchase exceptional. Note: I am editing my original review because after a month , we finally heard from someone in Customer Care who listened and took action. We received a check for the damages to our landscaping and solar lights a few days ago. We bought new Tempur-pedic mattresses from this store in December, 2024.The product is great but when the mattresses were delivered on 12/12, the delivery truck ran off our very wide driveway, damaged the landscaping and destroyed several solar lights. We notified Ashley Customer Care the next day and sent a description of the damage, as well as photos. Promises were made to contact us within several specific timeframes and to reimburse us for the damage. Since then, we have contacted Customer Care 4 or 5 times but have never been contacted by the insurance adjuster as promised. We will be filing a report with the BBB and will never make another purchase from Ashley based on this experience.

Great experience from start to finish! Brett was our salesman in Asheville. He was very cordial and professional. Never tried to hard sell us something we didn't want. Joseph and his son delivered right on time, even though it was New Year's Day and a snow/ice mix on the roads. They were very careful and tested all motor functions. Can't say enough good things.

Update: this place is a SCAM Was sweet talked and convinced to buy the diamond plus plan along with my couch and the sales pitch worked Not even 4 months later and my 2,000 couch is sunken in and the cushions suck! I sink into my couch every time I sit down and the quality is poor!!! No refunds or exchanges, customer service sucks. The look of the couch was nice but the quality is AWFUL. Diamond plan was purchased for 200 extra dollars and doesn’t even cover this kind of wear and tear. Everyone says Ashley is a scam and I should have listened. Don’t be fooled by the nice salesman and lies. Tried contacting Ashley and couldn’t get ahold of anyone and no way of getting my couch fixed. I would not recommend I’m stuck paying for this couch that is non refundable and I’ll never buy from here again Keith was amazing and helped us out with a couch and a mattress. He gave us excellent customer service and made us feel at ease. I would 100% recommend coming here and seeing Keith!

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I brought my three year old and they were fine with her taking off her shoes and"trying out" the beds. Ordered a couch from online 1 month ago. Initially asked for Aug 15th delivery. Constant emails for getting an earlier delivery. Scheduled it for Aug 1st. Never showed up after waiting 5 hours. Told by Customer service they had the wrong number. Only correct numbers provided at the time of order and at the time of customer service call. Tried again on Aug 9th, knowing I would have to leave work . Got an email saying Oops we hit a snag and to reschedule order. Went back to the original date of Aug 15th. Continued to get emails saying it could be delivered sooner. Sent email to customer service saying my correct phone number. On delivery date got a tracking email....your delivery is 3 stops away...2 stops away.. 1 stop away....onthe way. Then email saying unable to complete. I called the driver number provided to say this is the right number and we are waiting. Never showed up. They still have the wrong number on the tracking despite me correcting it several times with a human and online. Canceled my order. Poor customer service. Never will buy from them again and nor will my household. They are corporate America so they won't care about an individual. They only want people's money and as long as they are getting it from others they will just roll on. Meanwhile list 10 hours out of my life waiting for something I badly wanted. Never again.

Today was our second visit to this Ashley Store this month. We had purchased two pieces of furniture the first time, and came back the second time for two more pieces of furniture. On both occasions we dealt with Patrick Martinez. He’s knowledgeable of the Ashley Store products, but more importantly is just a very positive, friendly person who never put any pressure on us. He was also extremely helpful in setting up our future delivery date. While waiting for Patrick to finish up with another customer, I happened to speak with the GM, Brian, and one other staff person. Like Patrick, they are very friendly as well, offering any additional assistance or a bottle of water. This Ashley Store has a very good variety of furniture on the floor that is fairly priced, and again, a super friendly and accommodating staff. Just a very pleasant shopping experience. Bought recliners after pushy salesmen kept at me and pretended he took money off and gave me a deal but they were already on sale. The chairs aren't comfortable and have no cushion at all inside sides. No support at all near lumbar and once chair is reclined its a big open gap at lower back. Can't return or I absolutely would. What a waste of all that money. 👎🏼

My friend and I visited the Ashley furniture store on River Hills Rd looking for various pieces, including a couch, a bed, and a dining room table. On Feb. 1st my daughter and I went to Ashley's to look at living room furniture. Devon met us with a smile and asked what we were looking to find. He let us look at furniture without being overbearing. He answered all our questions and understood we were checking out other places as well. He gave us all the information we needed. The next day, we went back to buy what we were interested in. Devon wasn't working when we arrived, but Wills was just as friendly and helped us out. He and Alecia were both friendly and accommodating. Overall, I will buy furniture from this store again and have already recommended it to several people. The staff were all friendly and very helpful. I really liked the fact that they didn't hang all over us and push things on us. GREAT JOB, GUYS!

I purchased a floor lamp. Sales team were helpful and cordial- average, which is all I expect. When associate was packing my lamp a glass shade on the lamp broke. That to me was not a big deal. I was promised they’d order me a new shade. That was 3 weeks ago and no shade. I called the store to find out. No call back. So I ordered new glass shades on Amazon. I love the lamp. That’s why I’m being generous with 3 stars.

Visited the Ashley store at 111 River Hills Rd in Asheville NC and had a wonderful shopping experience and ordered two recliners! Our sales expert, Devon, was a delight as was his sales supervisor, Alicia. They even went so far as to have a chair, that had just been delivered, assembled and brought to the sales floor so we could see the color. Now that is customer service! The sales floor is clean and organized with furnishings beautifully displayed. I highly recommend a visit!

I had a fantastic experience at Ashley. The associate, Sheri, was very helpful. I told her what I was looking for in a sofa as well as my area measurements. We found the perfect sectional and she designed it based on my room. She was also very informative while I was mattress shopping for myself and my son.
