We went to Ashley store, 111 River Hills Rd in Asheville over a warranty issue. Charles Thomas was the person who helped us to find the best solution to our issue. While we were there we saw living room furniture that we liked and Charles helped us with that purchase. His knowledge and expertise in settling our issue and the purchase we made were top notch. He is very knowledgeable, respectful and a no pressure kind of guy. We think of him now as a good friend. We recommend him and Ashley furniture.

He gave us the space that we needed. We’re not fond of aggressive sales associates, so this was a great experience. The process was very easy as well. I was approved with a minute and out the door shortly after. If you’re in need of furniture, I highly recommend Ashley and Taylor!!

Outstanding customer service! I am moving into my first apartment next week and needed a new couch but I’m in a different state due to a family emergency. I called Asheville’s Ashley store on the phone and explained my dilemma and told them what I needed and when I needed it by. They were happy to accommodate me over the phone and get me the best price possible in the shipping window I needed! After having a rough week it was nice to have such friendly, accommodating staff that made the transaction quick, easy and affordable. I would recommend Patrick (Sales associate at the Tunnel Rd location) and Chris (GM) to anyone looking for new furniture! Thanks again guys!!

Ask for Patrick, if looking for a knowledgeable guy. I went in and Patrick approached me asking if he could assist me. I described what I was looking for and he took me right to it. I explained my story of how shopping the last couple weeks for a couch had me tired.. He understood where I was coming from, He kept busy trying to find what I wanted on his lap top, very informative on prices and even explained me the bonding on the couches and the double threaded ones were sturdy too. We set down to purchase a couch and after it was all done, I just didn't feel right spending that money for a couch, he was very polite and told me thats okay. Walked me to the door and made me feel glad that I changed my mind at last minute. I will go back and ask for him,the guy with all the knowledge and so helpful...

First time buyer with Ashley furniture of Asheville on River Hills Road. I walked in there several months ago was met by Patrick Martinez. He knew just what I was looking for. He spent quality time with me. I went back a month later to add things to my order as this was going to be delivered in late February and once again he was exceptional. Chris was amazing!! We came in a month ago and told him that we were just picking out and buying at a later date. He was still so very helpful. We picked out our new living room furniture that day. A month later, after we purchased our new house we came back to purchase. He remembered us right away and was extremely nice and helped us with the purchase. Chris was very helpful and personable during my shopping experience for a sofa sleeper. My husband enjoyed relaxing his back in the recliners and of course Chris showed him the one that does everything but massage you feet! However we are not ready to replace his current recliner but when we are we'll return to Ashley and work with Chris again.

It was a pleasure shopping here! Joe greeted us at the door, but, per our request, he left us alone while we were looking. I hate being followed throughout a store. When we found something we were interested in, Joe came over to assist us. We were uncertain if the item would fit in our space so we had to get back to Joe with a final decision. We filled out some paperwork, but did not pay before leaving. When I phoned the following morning, the person who picked up the phone told me he had seen our paperwork. He pulled it up and handed me over to Alicia who sent me the paperwork to complete online to finish the sale. And, we have a delivery scheduled in less than 2 weeks.

Chris Edmonds in the Asheville store is the best salesman I've ever purchased from. He is not pushy or hovering, but he is knowledgeable and professional. I can't believe how great he is and that he's only been with Ashley Furniture for one week. We found almost all the furniture we were looking for, so we will be back soon.

Charles was very very kind. I had an idea of what I wanted in a dual power recliner! He knew exactly where it was and provided us with all information. Then showed us another one I also had a picture of. He showed us what he had - not exactly the same one and a little more in price but he worked with me and a price I was willing to pay. Charles went above providing exceptional kindness and service! I will not receive the recliner until mid December but am very satisfied with the results at Ashley furniture.

I’ve gotten several pieces from this location, and the customer service is always supreme. If you don’t want to be hounded by a pushy salesman, this is the place to go. Charles was extremely warm and helpful, all while giving me space to peruse. When I did decide that I needed assistance, his help was prompt and efficient. He helped me find a great deal that worked for me and I did not leave feeling ripped off in the slightest. I will be buying the rest of my home furnishings here. 😌

My fiancée and I came in to look for a dining table. We unfortunately never made a decision however our interaction with Keith was so pleasant. However Taylor was such an amazing person, he was so friendly and nice. He wasn’t pushy at all. We ended up getting a new sectional couch, ottoman, mattress, 2 pillows and a mattress cover. I grew up so very poor but have worked hard for what I have now. This is the absolute Best quality couch and mattress that I have ever owned. I’m sooooo excited for our new furniture. Charles from the Ashley Store was helpful, knowledgeable, and kind! He didn’t hover and let me explore the store on my own (which was exactly what i needed) and then come to him when I had questions. He gave me water while I was looking around. Not pushy but made himself available for any of the questions I had.

We had a great experience at Ashley’s and particularly working with Charles (I don’t put in last names in case it becomes a problem for the person). He greeted us as we entered, but when we told him that we were looking around, he left us alone. My wife and I spent a good 30 to 40 minutes looking at specific pieces of furniture, measuring them, discussing them, and rank ordering. It was only when he saw us slowing down that Charles approached us again, and asked if he could help us. We were ready at that point as we had made all of our decisions without being pressured. In contrast, when we went down the hill to Haverty’s the sales person, Janice, I believe, would not give us space. She followed us around constantly and any time we paused to discuss things amongst ourselves in private, she came right at us and hounded us. We walked out because of this. In closing, I can highly recommend Ashely‘s Asheville and in particular working with Charles. It was a great experience.

Went in in my work clothes, and was treated no different than if I was in a suit, I’ll let them know what I was looking for. Unfortunately, they don’t carry that style chair anymore, but showed me some other chairs and couches with the massaging features. They let me lay on it as long as I wanted and let me do my thing with it. Of course I decided to buy it but there was no pressure. The associates were great. They’ve got a phenomenal selection and I’ll definitely be buying furniture from them again.

Editing review 9/10/25: unfortunately we’ve had bad communication for delivery. Multiple delays, missing pieces, and a mattress now sitting on the carpet. My mother and I visited the Ashley Store located at River Hills Rd in Asheville NC. My mother is 89 and was having trouble sleeping so we were looking for an adjustable bed. We had looked at several furniture stores and felt the prices were outrageous. We stopped in Ashley as a last resort and were pleasantly surprised! We were met immediately by Melissa, who showed us the various options and, even though my mother was exhausted from a day of shopping, Melissa managed to get her to laugh and enjoy the experience! The prices were very reasonable and we were able to purchase a bed that my mother is enjoying very much. I highly recommend working with Melissa at Ashley if you are looking for furniture. She was amazing!

Keith was wonderful! We walked in ten minutes before closing. We told him exactly what we were looking for, he showed us several options, and we decided on our couch in a cool eight minutes. He took care of our order then & there (this was the third store we’d visited). By fifteen minutes after closing we were on our merry way with delivery scheduled for 3 days later. The Diamond protection plan was a huge selling point for us. This couch will go in our home that will have renters for two years until we are able to return. If any damage happens during the next five years, it will be repaired or replaced. If we don’t use the coverage in that time, the money spent for the coverage will be reimbursed. The only con with Ashley’s is that there isn’t an option to pick up the piece from the warehouse yourself, so you’ll need to allow for delivery in your budget.

I purchased a lounge sectional and got the diamond warranty and was told almost anything could happen and if they couldn't fix it, it would be replaced. The frame on the lounge is broken and the lounge sinks in and keeps breaking more with a large indention in the cushion because of it and when I tried to claim the warranty they said it wasn't covered. I already left a bad review, was given a number to call amd speak with someone and still have never been contacted back. Don't waste your money on a worthless scam warranty.

Shane greeted us upon entering and did not overwhelm us with “sales talk” - Shane asked all the right questions and let us browse the store offering what parts to start at based on what we said we were looking for. This was our first major furniture purchase as young adults and even though we liked a couch slightly better at another store we knew we wanted to be taken care of through Shane. Worst shopping experience I’ve ever had unbelievable delays in delivery and incredibly poor communication.

Note: I am editing my original review because after a month , we finally heard from someone in Customer Care who listened and took action. We received a check for the damages to our landscaping and solar lights a few days ago. We bought new Tempur-pedic mattresses from this store in December, 2024.The product is great but when the mattresses were delivered on 12/12, the delivery truck ran off our very wide driveway, damaged the landscaping and destroyed several solar lights. We notified Ashley Customer Care the next day and sent a description of the damage, as well as photos. Promises were made to contact us within several specific timeframes and to reimburse us for the damage. Since then, we have contacted Customer Care 4 or 5 times but have never been contacted by the insurance adjuster as promised. We will be filing a report with the BBB and will never make another purchase from Ashley based on this experience.

Great experience from start to finish! Brett was our salesman in Asheville. He was very cordial and professional. Never tried to hard sell us something we didn't want. Joseph and his son delivered right on time, even though it was New Year's Day and a snow/ice mix on the roads. They were very careful and tested all motor functions. Can't say enough good things.

Update: this place is a SCAM Was sweet talked and convinced to buy the diamond plus plan along with my couch and the sales pitch worked Not even 4 months later and my 2,000 couch is sunken in and the cushions suck! I sink into my couch every time I sit down and the quality is poor!!! No refunds or exchanges, customer service sucks. The look of the couch was nice but the quality is AWFUL. Diamond plan was purchased for 200 extra dollars and doesn’t even cover this kind of wear and tear. Everyone says Ashley is a scam and I should have listened. Don’t be fooled by the nice salesman and lies. Tried contacting Ashley and couldn’t get ahold of anyone and no way of getting my couch fixed. I would not recommend I’m stuck paying for this couch that is non refundable and I’ll never buy from here again Keith was amazing and helped us out with a couch and a mattress. He gave us excellent customer service and made us feel at ease. I would 100% recommend coming here and seeing Keith!

The staff here are very friendly and helpful. I brought my three year old and they were fine with her taking off her shoes and"trying out" the beds. They brought crayons and coloring books for when she needed to wait for me. They offered a lot of different price ranges and explained pillow anatomy in a way that was helpful.

Ordered a couch from online 1 month ago. Initially asked for Aug 15th delivery. Constant emails for getting an earlier delivery. Scheduled it for Aug 1st. Never showed up after waiting 5 hours. Told by Customer service they had the wrong number. Only correct numbers provided at the time of order and at the time of customer service call. Tried again on Aug 9th, knowing I would have to leave work . Got an email saying Oops we hit a snag and to reschedule order. Went back to the original date of Aug 15th. Continued to get emails saying it could be delivered sooner. Sent email to customer service saying my correct phone number. On delivery date got a tracking email....your delivery is 3 stops away...2 stops away.. 1 stop away....onthe way. Then email saying unable to complete. I called the driver number provided to say this is the right number and we are waiting. Never showed up. They still have the wrong number on the tracking despite me correcting it several times with a human and online. Canceled my order. Poor customer service. Never will buy from them again and nor will my household. They are corporate America so they won't care about an individual. They only want people's money and as long as they are getting it from others they will just roll on. Meanwhile list 10 hours out of my life waiting for something I badly wanted. Never again.
