Beware: Ashley Furniture Has Zero Integrity After the Sale I was genuinely excited about my new dresser. That excitement wore off fast. The delivery driver left before I could sign or fully inspect it. I noticed a small indentation on one leg, contacted Ashley, accepted a minor partial refund, and considered that matter closed. Fair enough. Then, still within 30 days, I got down on the floor and noticed something far worse: a 7-inch crack, not a scratch, a structural crack in the front facial board beneath the top lip. I reported it. They scheduled a craftsman visit. I thought they were going to make it right. Instead, I got a call today saying that because I’d already settled the first damage claim, they weren’t going to address this one at all. Two completely separate issues. One structural. And they’re tying their hands behind their back with fine print to avoid accountability. This isn’t a customer service issue. It’s an integrity issue. Do yourself a favor: skip Ashley and buy from a local furniture store. You’ll spend comparable money and get people who actually stand behind what they sell.

I visited the store today! I had a wonderful experience at Ashley Furniture. I love all the pieces we selected (3 tables) and Leah provided exceptional customer service. She was very professional, welcoming, and never made us feel pressured. Keeping her contact to order more in the near future.

Lindsey was very attentive and listened to what I was looking for. She also gave me time alone to look around and text my Daughter with pictures to assist me on my decision. She gather pillows, etc. to hold up for me to decide if the color would work for me.

I want to leave this review for Taylor who helped us out today - she is wonderful! She was not at all pushy (like some sales people can be) just very helpful and knowledgable which was greatly appreciated. Some people just have a nice way about them and that would be her with a sprinkle of humor and overall nice personality. I'd highly recommend fam/friends who are needing to refresh their interior decor.

I walked into the store late on Sunday to review items on my wishlist. Matt Z welcomed me warmly and showed me the pieces. He then worked with me to fulfill my list because of a good sale taking place and helped me find a few items which met my needs in a better way. Furniture shopping can be an overwhelming task. There are so many options to look at, so many stores to visit, and there’s never a shortage of sales people willing to help you. My experience with Ashley in Cary was wonderful. Daniel S. was our sales associate and he knew the right balance between helping us out and giving us space. He checked up on us after a while and we had found the furniture we wanted. Daniel took the time to explain all the benefits and the features and make it a simple decision for us. I highly recommend this location and if you can be Fortunate enough to have Daniel as your sales associate, you’ll have a wonderful experience.

I was there after visiting several stores. The staff were very friendly. My items were delivered free of charge.

Great experience. Stopped to look at a new bedroom set while on a business trip, and left with everything I needed/wanted to be shipped to my home. Taylor was very patient with me, swapping out different looks to help me find what I wanted. Store also has great clearance items, these just have to be picked up within 48 hours, so if you are going clearance shopping, make sure you have a way to pick up your items. Overall great experience, will definitely be using Ashley furniture from now on!

This team is Absolutely Amazing!

I am sorry that I have to write this review but it is so necessary to warn you all about buying certain items from this store. Some of their sofas have what you call gassing issues....My wife bought one sofa in 2023 and then Ashley replaced the sofa due to gassing issue with another sofa that we had picked in 2024 and paying the difference because the second sofa was more money. So believe it or not the second sofa is doing the same thing.....it is gassing on and off which it throws a bad toxic like odor that fills the whole room....this nasty odor which is causing a tingling sensation on your tongue, watery and itchy eyes, and runny nose.....no its not a cold.....the sofa has been gassing all year long.....we went to the Ashley store in Cary, NC where we bought the sofas from and the second time they weren't so receptive about our issue again as they think we are lying and told me I had to speak to corporate.....I say how can Ashley sell us another sofa a second time with the same issue.....I spoke to corporate and they wouldn't take the sofa back and give my wife a full refund....all they could do was we keep the sofa and they sent my wife a check for $175.00.....we paid like $1200.00 for the sofa and this was all they could do.....this has not been a good situation for our health especially that I work from home and breath this bad odor.....they have no concern or consideration about our health. Ashley did not do us right.....I am so fed up that I am going to have to throw this sofa out to the garbage and we take the loss....this is incredible that we have gone through this with two sofas.....we will now go out and spend more than double the price to buy a sofa of better quality from a furniture company with a better reputation......just so you know you all can google furniture gassing or sofa gassing and you can see that this gassing is due to the bad materials that are used to make the sofa....it could be the wood frame inside the sofa, or the outside material whether its fabric or fake leather, or the cushioning material that is used inside the seat or back cushions that is causing gassing issues......like I said I didn't want to write this but I am so aggravated with this Ashley experience and I never went through this at all with any sofa I bought in the 30 years before we bought here at Ashley.....you should be ashamed to treat customers like this as if we are crazy that a sofa with its bad toxic (gassing) materials could be doing something like this....cheap materials used as most of your furniture is assembled and built from other asian countries and shipped here to the USA. Ashley knows they got us in a lousy position as it ain't worth taken them to court and paying for a lawyer to do so.....the $175.00 they gave my wife was just bullshit.....so at least I can speak here and warn you all about buying at Ashley !!!

My experience at Ashley‘s furniture today was amazing Dan. I really appreciate his honesty. I appreciated his time, his effort, his sincerity. He was a real great sales representative . He didn’t try to harass me to buy anything, he waited patiently. He was also very educated on the set I did end up purchasing .I also appreciate his manager for his patience and his attribute to me making my purchase.

Purchased a nice fancy electric recliner with the fancy warranty only for the electrical components to randomly stop working 2 months after purchase. 2 months after starting discussion about repair and I can't even get a repair person scheduled, and I was sent repair parts loose in a box so I'm not confident on their condition even when a repair person does show up, just check the video out. At this point I'll take a replacement couch! Mechanical so I never have to go through this again. I need a date for someone to come repair this couch by Feb 20th and I'll up this review to a three star, otherwise this 1 star is here to stay. This has easily been the worst purchase ive made and I wish I had just gotten some Costco or IKEA couch. UPDATE: Minutes after posting this I was able to tentatively get scheduled for 3 days from now. So I'll update to 3 for now. I hope it's not a false promise, but we will see. Update 2: Efficient repair once we had a tech on site. I'll upgrade to 5 star based on this alone, great job Hank, I just ask that Ashley works with the manufacturer to have proper scheduling systems in place in the future. There's no reason to not have dates available in an age of digital calendars.

Purchased a furniture set in July of 2023, and was sold a $300 warranty that we were explicitly told covered tears/rips caused by pets. Disappointed to now, two and a half years later, have filed a claim that is denied because it is not covered. Upon reading reviews, the same sales person has done this to other customers in the past. Called customer service and was told in all the time the agent on the phone had been there, pet damage has never been covered and that they wouldn't be able to rectify that the sales person misled us in the purchase of the warranty. Very disappointing service and a waste of $300.

Complete details concerning my purchase of a recliner were provided by consultants Mayra Hernandez and Leah Hayes. They were very knowledgeable. I had many questions and these ladies answered all of them. I am happy with my purchase and recommend Ashley stores to all looking for new furniture.

Let me state when I’m buying furniture I’m very particular and potentially a little hard to deal with. But when you’re spending thousands shouldn’t you be? With this point in mind I was blown away at Leah’s attention and help. Even when something was a no (which there was plenty) she kept on looking. Ultimately I got my main goal of purchasing a super comfy couch and matching chair and had to pass on an entertainment center. I never once felt pressured and was reminded multiple times “you’re not going to hurt my feelings” when picking something ultimately a should love. Outstanding customer service from Matt at Ashley HomeStore. The experience was smooth and enjoyable from start to finish.

Avoid this Ashley Furniture location at all costs. We have purchased from this Ashley before and previously had a positive experience working with Joveline and Ebony. That is the only reason we even walked back into this store today. We came in solely to view an additional piece from a bedroom set we already own and had no intention of buying in store. The moment we entered, a male salesperson immediately approached us. We politely told him we were just looking and were good. He ignored that and told us they work on commission, then pressed us to name the salesperson we had worked with previously. I explained again that we were simply viewing a piece in person. He continued to follow us through the store despite us repeatedly saying we were fine and did not need help. When we walked away, he followed us again and said, “I wasn’t trying to harass y’all,” while actively continuing to harass us. It was uncomfortable, aggressive, and frankly creepy. Even after we told him we were already ordering online through Ashley.com, he would not take no for an answer and continued talking and following us until we finally left the store. This experience was so uncomfortable that we chose to leave entirely rather than continue browsing. Whatever management or training standards were in place before are clearly no longer there. Ebony must not be managing this location anymore, and it shows. High-pressure, disrespectful sales tactics like this drive customers away. We will not return to this location and strongly recommend others stay away as well.

Our sales associate Taylor was more than helpful. We told her what we were looking for and she helped us to find exactly one we wanted. No pressure sales tactics just a cheerful person who seemed to genuinely care. A refreshing experience to say the least. I would definitely recommend Ashley's for your needs. Careful about choosing an online furniture store. All that glitters is not gold. Even if the prices are lower, you can't beat personal care. Support your local business.

They'll scam you on insurance. When we bought a couch several years ago we also got convinced to buy damage insurance and they stated if we won't use it while it lasts we'll get our insurance money back. So here we are. Not only we didn't get our money back and instead were offered store credit. It is store credit for purchase of $500 or more, essentially making it just a discount.

Mayra was great. Very helpful and attentive. I came in with an item number that I wanted and the transaction was done within 30 minutes. I’ll go back to her for any future furniture needs.

Worst customer experience I have ever encountered. From the moment my furniture was delivered, that is where problems started. I noticed damage to my bed frame, defective drawer, chipped off paint. The delivery driver (MARIO) said he had a long shift, was tired & had to leave to get back to his family, that I was the last delivery of his shift. I explained to him that I did not want the furniture because it was damaged. His body language and mannerism was very aggressive to the point he scared me. I was home alone with my 1 year old so I left it at that to not make him more frustrated & mad than he already was (which by all means, was not my fault). The following day I called to report him & they tranferred me over to delivery & restoration service. I spoke to KIMA. I explained that the delivery driver refused to load the damaged furniture. I got no help from her or anyone from Ashley. I have yet to hear back from them. I honestly expected more from Ashley Furniture.

I just wanted to give a huge shout-out to Daniel, for making our sofa shopping experience absolutely fantastic! Coming from a full time mother and nurse I am very OCD and I think Mike knew that and he was able to guide me to my perfect couch and a recliner for my boyfriend within 45 minutes. I am always skeptical with dealing with sales pressured reps in big box stores, but Leah Hayes at the Ashley store in Cary was totally awesome to deal with. We went in to get a specific mattress type , but after working with her for about an hour she lead us to our perfect dream sleep mattress. Her knowledge and attention to detail along with her non-pressure technique, was what sold us. Her bubbly down-to-earth aura is what will bring us back as she is a total delight. I can't tell you the last time I laughed so hard with a sales person that was taking money from me. Customer Service was not as I expected for as many times I have shopped at Ashley’s furniture. They have lost a customer. I will not be returning.

Mike was very helpful and we didn’t feel pressured. He was both personal and professional in the way he conducted himself. Ashley is very lucky to have him on the sales team.

I have never had the misfortune to leave a bad review; however the circumstances surrounding our purchase of a mattress that needed to be exchanged, and then ordering a new mattress that was to be delivered within 30 days. It is now over 60 days later, and still no mattress. And getting an answer from anyone at Ashley Furniture when we could expect to receive our new mattress has been difficult at best. Today I was told it will be at least another 30 days until they get it in their distribution center. That is totally unacceptable! I asked to speak with someone who had the authority to refund our money, so I can go across the street from their store in Cary and buy it and have it delivered the next day. What started out as a wonderful experience with Patrick (in their Raleigh location), has turned into one of frustration and distrust. Their lack of communication has soured us on Ashley Furniture going forward.

They are terrible and their customer is service awful, i have ordered a product with them on 13-Oct-2025 and they send defective product and after that there is no clue when they deliver again

Beware -- They will avoid you like the plague if you have any issues with a product, even if it's within 1-2 days of delivery. Sat in a chair in store, I really liked the feel of the particular chair. I worked with a salesperson who I talked to about liking the feel of the materials. I ordered the chair and had it delivered. The delivered chair looked the same, but the materials were rock hard and felt awful. I tried to return 2 days after delivery and I got the runaround from the store for 1 week. I contacted their support online who couldn't even find my order. They talked to the store and pushed me back. The store then finally told me "Sorry, we can't return or exchange the chair at this point." Good luck if you work with this company. Their employees will be stuck to you like glue while you're in the store trying to sell to you but as soon as you have an issue, they disappear.

Nice. But definitely overpriced

I recently purchased a dining room set, buffet table, loveseat, and chair from Ashley furniture. I originally had a great experience with the Ben. We ultimately decided to purchase so much furniture with Ashley because we were told we could get a warranty that would cover accidents that could happen, and we even received a document that specifically listed as Diamond care and included (cosmetics, nail polish etc). Well, unfortunately a month or so after having our dining table nail polish was spilled and through the clean up process there is some discoloration. Upon trying to get our table fixed through the purchased warranty I was told that the policy did not cover "caustic and Lifestyle damage." Yet I was given documentation specifically stating nail polish would be covered. Please be wary of purchasing furniture through Ashley. We will not be back or recommending due to the misleading contradictory information and documentation that was given.

We ordered a coffee table and side table a few months ago and a dining set recently. The furniture quality has always been excellent. We highly recommend working with Daniel - he has always been really helpful!

Lindsey was fantastic! When I told her the color and dimensions of the chest of drawers I wanted, she immediately showed me what they had on the floor and in the catalog. Her knowledge of the inventory, her strong interpersonal skills, and her efficiency were impressive. Within 10 minutes I found exactly what I wanted at an excellent price, after having unsuccessfully shopped at several other stores. Within five days of ordering, it is going to be delivered.

The discounts were wonderful in store, the staff very helpful. I did feel the sales staff told us he would include free shopping and other benefits which later we saw we were charged for. This led to a poor experience, don’t promise what’s not asked for and then not provide the benefit.

My wife and I came in looking for a new couch and left with no unanswered questions and a delivery date scheduled! Taylor was super easy to work with and didn't give the overly suffocating vibe you can get from most furniture stores. She let us roam about freely and checked up on us when we had more questions around our decisions. She used her software well to display our modular configuration so we could more better visualize the furniture in our space. Would definitely recommend this store to anyone looking for new furniture!

The store is huge with great displays and very nice furniture my wife and I were very happy to be able to find the furniture that we were looking for, and we must thank our excellent salesman Danny for spending the time with us that he did, he knows the entire showroom and was very knowledgeable about every question we had for him. Danny has a great personality and is genuinely a really a great guy . Heck I would go back to the store again just to say hey to Danny, he's like a new friend to us .

My husband and I visited on "date night," after first looking online, to get ideas of how we wanted to decorate our new home that is being built. Mike greeted us warmly and after telling him what we were looking for and giving us some direction, with no pressure whatsoever, we casually looked around on our own. After looking around the entire store, he caught back up with us. We told him items we were interested in and he showed us some special features about them we were unaware of, offered to give us a quote, and even gave us discounts, making it much cheaper than the online prices we'd seen! He was very knowledgeable and fun, making us laugh on more than one occasion! We had a blast! He even offered to keep a running list and to hold both our items and discounts for up to a year, or when our home would be ready to move-in, with discounted delivery! Best "date night" ever!! We will definitely be back!!

Great store, great selection and my sales person “Ebony” is the BEST

Horrible experience with Ebony at this store even though we like Ashley as a brand so much. Ebony tried to sell us a few options for sofas and was initially sounding very helpful. We wanted a specific color (mustard) which was only available online and asked about it and she said they can order it for us. She said she can give us 20% discount so we decided to buy 2 of them. She gave us the price which felt a little higher as we had enquired about that on ashley website and also over phone from there store. When we showed her the online price and also an email quote from her own store, she started talking about arious things and commissions and all that led me to think the higher they sell for, the more they get. I was surprised that she mentioned her store price is even higher then online because they get it from a nearby location (four oaks). Same sofa was $120 less on JCPENNY and she ignored that price too. We could have bought the furniture if it was some other honest salesman as Ebony kept giving us varied reasons even after showing a email quote from her own salesman that matched or was better then Ashley website price. This led us feeling that somehow they were trying to play us on prices (may have worked if we hadn't checked) and Ebony misused her authority as a manager for some commission. We will still buy Ashley furniture but not from this store as felt being cheated and for commissions they are willing to fool ignorant customers.

Matt was wonderful, he showed my mom and I several different options for all the different items we were looking for and was able to help us furnish multiple rooms in a single visit with everything coming on the exact day we were hoping for. Will definetly come back and ask for him again if we need more in the future.

I have had the worst experience purchasing from Ashley, while I do enjoy my couch, had I known the headache and stress purchasing it would’ve caused me I would have gone elsewhere. First my modular sectional was delivered, they sent an incorrect piece (tagged wrong at the warehouse) which led me to having to wait another 2 weeks to receive the rest of my sectional. I was compensated $120 after having to call and express the frustration of ordering a sectional and receiving a sofa to an extremely rude customer service woman, who originally only wanted to refund me $80 of my $300 delivery fee. Now 2 months later I have had my payments on auto draft through Synchrony bank, I financed the 3k+ sectional over 2 years and was surprised to see they drafted the ENTIRE couch amount out of my account this morning. After calling Synchrony bank I’m now waiting 7-15 business days to receive a check in the mail to get my money back. All of this has been a horrible experience while I’m also extremely pregnant and was hoping this would be something I could enjoy. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere. Ashley Furniture makes it super easy to take your information and sell you furniture but takes little to no accountability for the horrible customer service and mistakes made on their end.

We bought our Ashley couch in April. We wanted to give a huge shoutout to Federico. He is probably the most amazing and patient salesperson I have worked with. We went on a Sunday afternoon with a toddler. Federico showed us multiple sofa which would work for our family and space. He was able to stear us in the right direction and we absolutely love our coach these past months. He is everything I would want when I walk into a furniture store, patient, respectful, funny and knowledgeable about the furniture on the shop floor. Also huge shoutout out to the store manager who worked with us with the financing and made sure we are happy with the final payments. Overall it was a joyful experience which made it special.

We ordered new furniture and the delivery company Ashley uses is awful. They left the furniture uncovered out in the rain and deeply scratched our floors. They admitted to the damage and took pictures. They then sent us a letter that our claim was denied because the pictures were taken after delivery…the pictures they took. The cost to repair our floors was more than the furniture.

Very nice store, lots of options, in many different styles. Leah H was amazing. She asked what I was looking for, took me to the appropriate part of showroom, explained signage and then allowed me to squirrel off on my own (I despise places that hover). I ended up purchasing an extra piece of furniture because of her. Will definitely be back as future needs arise.

When we walked in, Matt stepped up to help us right away. He made himself very available and had a no pressure approach which we appreciated. We were walking in knowing what we wanted, and once we told Matt he got the paperwork together right away and had us out the door in no time with a delivery set up within a few weeks. We have visited other Ashley stores in the area and have walked out but this location always has the best employees. We will be back!

I bought a couch at this location and it was possibly the most efficient purchase I’ve ever made, their salesman Dani was quick to answer my questions and didn’t waste any time over explaining. It was definitely a more than pleasant experience and I look forward to shopping with them more.

Lindsey was a solid person to work with. She didn't try to over-sell, just let me browse and ask questions when I needed. The store itself had good selection, and overall I was happy with how knowledgeable about the products she was.

We initially thought we had an excellent experience here when we purchased our items from Lindsey. We walked out feeling assured of our purchases. We purchased a king size bed and Lindsey told us we would need 2 bunkie boards with it. However, delivery day, the bunkie boards were making our mattress sit way too high. We asked the delivery drivers to take them back, but they told us we had to contact Ashley directly. We went back to Lindsey and she told us we needed to call the corporate center. We called the corporate center and they told us we need to go back to the actual store. After going back and forth, the Cary store manager refused to return the bunkie boards saying they were final sale. Lindsey failed to tell us that when we purchased them. Instead, she told us we would need them with the type of bed we were getting. The manager told us we should have read the fine print, but it should also be on the sales representative to inform customers as well. So, $300 went down the drain. Even more, they delivered my sofa with a stain and the delivery team hid it by putting a pillow on top of it. After they left, I saw it and reported it right away. BE CAREFUL OF THEIR SHADY PRACTICES. THEY WILL PURPOSELY LEAVE OUT KEY INFORMATION TO GET A SALE. I will never buy anything from Ashley furniture stores again and do not recommend them to anyone due to their service.

The sales rep at the store was fantastic, but my furniture delivery has been incredibly disappointing. It arrived on a Wednesday, and I had two sick children. Between taking them to the doctor and trying to maintain the house and get things together, I couldn’t use the sectional yet. I work from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM every day, so by the time I get home from work, it’s dinner time for the kids, cleaning up, homework, and bedtime. Since today is a weekend and I have the day off tomorrow, I finally got to try out the sectional. However, two of the recliners are broken, and my table is scratched up. Ashely’s offered a discount, which I found ridiculous. I truly wish they could come pick everything and I’ll get furniture elsewhere where. I do not recommend

Ben was amazing. He greeted us and told us he would check in with us as we looked around. He did not hover, he answered all questions we asked him and he was very helpful explaining the different sofas we were looking at, even giving a few tips. A very enjoyable and rewarding shopping experience.
