I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered at Ashley Furniture, and it was because of Lydia, the salesperson who assisted me. I purchased a couch that turned out to be defective — it was uncomfortable, poorly made, and definitely not what was not of the quality Ashley has historically been known for. When I brought this to Lydia’s attention, not only did she refuse to take responsibility or offer any real help, she actually blamed me for the issue. To make matters even worse, during the conversation, she made an incredibly inappropriate and offensive comment about my weight — calling me a larger than average person — as if that justified the couch’s poor quality and workmanship. I was stunned and deeply hurt. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from someone in a customer-facing role. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect. I expected professionalism and support, but instead I was met with blame and personal insults. I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again, and I strongly urge management to address this situation. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity — not judged or insulted.

It was your average Saturday, maybe around 6pm. Mood? ✨S T R E S S✨ Why? We have an empty loft. We have family coming over at the beginning of next month, WHERE WILL THEY SIT?! HOW WILL THEY COMFORTABLY WATCH A MOVIE??!! Okay, back to Saturday. My fiancé and I were at a furniture store, found a couch we liked. The gentleman helping us out was “trying to help us out”, was a bit pushy, we said no thank you GG. We left, couchless. Sad. Broken. ✨S T R E S S E D✨ So what do we do? Where do we go from here? We just left an “affordable” furniture store, but it didn’t feel affordable? Should we try a “big name” company? Why not. We already left one store couchless, won’t make a difference if we do it again. We search up the closest furniture store and Ashley Furniture pops up, so we buckle up our seatbelts (both physically and our emotional one) and head on over. We walk inside, and who greets us? This incredibly welcoming lady who goes by Lydia. What did we walk out with? Our dream couch and what felt like an infinite amount of dopamine. Lydia made our whole couch adventure easy and very pleasant, helped us out with the financing options which was one of our biggest worries. We loved this experience so much, we’re going to be back this upcoming week for a coffee table! Please consider this spot for your furniture needs, let Lydia help you with the stress!

Outstanding furniture and customer service. We came in looking to upsize our mattress. My fiancé likes firm whereas I prefer softer mattresses. We tried countless other stores but couldn’t find something we both liked until we got to Ashely’s. Colin was a huge help. He displayed an upbeat attitude as well as extreme professionalism. He didn’t helicopter over us, but he was also never too far away and checked in with us providing recommendations until we found the perfect middle ground. Unfortunately, I had to change my review. As you can see below, I had an excellent experience purchasing the furniture, the rest has been a nightmare. I have two chairs that have been on backorder twice. We are decorating a model home at work and we have already found replacements. I requested for the chairs to be canceled. One of them was even a manager and said that it would be handled. when I asked for emails on both occasions with a confirmation that the order was canceled, I was told that couldn't be done I've had to call numerous times and I still have not been reimbursed or had this shipment canceled. I texted the sales agent and never heard back. I would purchase from another location. Customer service is excellent on the front end, but if anything pops up on the back end, you will spend a lot of your time and money, and it still will not be corrected. Colin and Jackie were so patient, knowledgeable and super helpful! 10/10!

I honestly hate furniture shopping because it’s completely overwhelming. I usually leave without buying anything and review furniture items online. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience shopping for beds and bedroom furniture. Upon entering the store, my mom and I were greeted by a Ms. Virgie Gore who asked what we were looking for and how she could help. She guided us to the kids beds and explained how the current sale worked and also explained the store’s selection. She spent over two hours with my mom and me going over different bed frames, mattresses, and dresser options. We tested the temper-pedic mattresses and the adjustable bases, and it changed my perspective on sleep! Through and through, an A+ experience. I’ll be back!

He definitely knows his product line and was so informative not only showing Mom different mattresses and taking the time for her to try them out, but also his patience showing her how all the adjustments work. Colin also went into detail as to how the height blocks included could be used and how the option of the under bed lighting was available to be used as a night time safety feature. DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM!! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEY LIE! Let me tell you my horror story with them. They do not explain well that once the furniture is dropped off you can’t return it. I asked questions asking is there any possibility I could return the furniture if it was too big for my apartment. Because sometimes that happens. They said yes and I had 30 days to call back and get it returned. So when the unfortunate event happened that the furniture was too big they wouldn’t let me return it. WHICH IS CRAZY. They lied to me in the store just to get a sale. Something about a “competition”. RICKY my salesperson was just as fake and didn’t explain anything proper to me about the process. They claim I had to “refute” it when it was delivered at that very moment but none of that was explained. I even called corporate and they said it was nothing they can do. I even tried to explain how I would just like to exchange it for something else but they wouldn’t let me. I tried to let this situation go but I genuinely hate my furniture and I get so frustrated when I see it. So take my advice and DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS GREEDY COMPANY. Also I don’t even leave reviews but this time I had to say something. DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS STORE!!!!!

I was trying to find a recliner for my son who had moved to charlotte. He had started work immediately and had no time to search for furniture for his empty apartment. The salesman at the store named Reggie was able to help me find a recliner in the store that could be delivered the next day which was so helpful I was able to pay it from my phone and my son has a chair on the way so I’m so glad he has something other than a bed in his new apartment. Good work, Reggie.

Just go to Temu. Same quality, less expensive. I was delivered the wrong color sofa after specifically telling the sales associate the picture on my receipt looked different than the color of the furniture in the store and was told “oh, that’s just the printer. There’s only one brown.” Then the delivery occurred earlier than my expected window. Obviously the color is wrong and there’s a whole with stuffing coming out of the chair. I told them, expecting them to call someone and they said I have to go back to the Ashley store and to sign that it was delivered. I asked if this was confirming everything was accurate or just that they delivered. They told me AND I read what I signed stating I was only signing that the items were delivered, which was odd to me but that’s what it said. When speaking with Ashley, of course they said oh all of that had to be addressed with the delivery company (3rd party). Never again. There’s too many options out there to have to deal with this. I ordered Amazon brand’s living room furniture, delivery, quality, and aesthetic were too notch. I went to Ashley because it was convenient at the moment and I just picked out the most comfortable lease senior-citizen looking furniture I could find. Learn from my mistakes.

I called here three times this morning to inquire about them having a couch in the showroom to come see. The first two times I heard them pickup the phone and hang up. The third they let ring to voicemail. I suppose the associates are not interested in making sales here. Not a good look for their customer service. I’ll go elsewhere.

She found me an absolute bargain, even more than I had hoped for at my price range. I was able to go over and get an ideal chair thanks to her! I hope her company appreciates her as much as I do! Had a great experience. Mickey was extremely helpful and took the time to show us a lot of options and explain everything including the warranty coverage. We bought 2 items and then ended up calling and adding another. He was amazing.

Buyer beware. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired and they don’t care about the customer. My husband and I purchased a master bedroom set which was delivered to our new home, had it for a couple of weeks before we moved into the new home and actually slept on it. We had slept on the bed for a week - and one night the entire mattress fell about three inches and the bed slat system broke. Come to find out - they had installed the bed slats wrong. My husband has been on the phone with customer service for hours for the last two weeks - the bed slats are not in stock, unknown when they will be in stock, and they will not pull it off a new bed set to replace. We have been sleeping on our old mattress and a couch since we can’t sleep on the new bed. And they will not give us an estimated time this will be resolved after we bought the set for thousands of dollars. This is ridiculous. Do NOT buy from Ashley- they do not care about the customer.

If you're looking for quality furniture and outstanding service, do yourself a favor and visit Ashley Furniture. Be sure to ask for Mickey – you won't be disappointed!

I bought a sectional from this Ashley store and bought a cushion protection plan for $399 because I explained to the salesperson that I have dogs. She stated that the protection plan would cover any damages from the dogs nails. This was my specific concern because it is a tweed like fabric. I have since made two claims for cushions, one for loose threads caused by the dogs nails and the other for a burn mark. The first was rejected because the plan does not cover any damages made by dogs. That was the first lie I uncovered after having to request statuses on the claim multiple times. They (5StarService) do not contact you if there is a problem. I had filled out the claim form online but the system rejected the photos and we were not alerted. I had to figure that out on my own by calling them. Then that first claim was rejected anyway. I am now working on the second claim for the burn mark and I am about 8 emails and a month in now where I am basically harassing them for a status and they keep asking me for more and more pictures. This plan that Ashley sells is a scam. At best 5StarService are working with a skeleton crew that does not leave notes for the next person and they don't communicate with you or each other. Save yourself the $399, your time and sanity and just buy the replacement cushions directly from Ashley. Better yet just don't. The sectional we bought is already sinking in some places and it is only a year and a half old. Absolute nonsense and lies. I have had to send less documentation to my health insurance to make them cover an MRI. This is a replacement cushion cover not a Kidney! Why does it have to be this hard?

After shopping for about a week for dining rm furniture, I decided to purchase the one I saw at Ashley Outlet. My experience with Mikey(Michael) was phenomenal! He made my buying process so easy and rather exciting bc of his knowledge of the things I was buying! I even ended up buying a loveseat as well as the dining room set! I would recommend this store and the consultant that assisted me..Michael Okon...his cust service was exemplary and he was a joy to work with! Was told 4 weeks for delivery now sitting at 6 weeks out with still no time table for deliver. Furniture has been paid in full but can’t get an update on when it will be delivered. Gentleman who sold it to me was great to work with and been sending texts weekly to say hopefully in a couple weeks. Appreciate him, but this is getting very frustrating!

Not a lot of transparency on price until they ask you for payment. Had to ask for a hard copy before noticing additional adds to the bill such as pillows. Price changed on delivery cost. Price online lower than what I was originally quoted which I pointed out. Left feeling like I was taken. I won't be back. Buyer beware!

Jay Moore was wonderful! He didn't follow us around the store and was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. He didn't push or ask for all our info just to give us a price! We had to leave to go home and measure and confirm what we wanted would fit. It wouldn't have, so luckly we didn't feel pressure and came back to buy a beautiful table we didn't even know we needed until we saw it!! Highly recommend Mr Jay and will be back to buy our server to match the table soon!

Micah was the absolute BEST!! He was knowledgeable, helpful, attentive but left us to browse and kept checking in with us. He was keeping our electronic cart so we didn’t have to deal with anything except selecting our furniture. We recently moved here with only a mattress and 2 chairs and were shopping for a 3 bedroom house so it wasn’t a small or fast purchase. He even found a way to maximize our discounts! At checkout he arranged a delivery date that meets our needs with our purchase closing date of the house. If we could give 11 stars to Micah we would! We will beg purchasing a few more items once we are moved in and we will return to work with Micah again.
