Bought a sofa from them and talked me into buying the 5 year protection plan. I was told it would cover pretty much everything. And now it’s been over three years and one of the springs has starting to loosen up and it’s been very uncomfortable. Called the company 5 star from the protection plan and said they won’t fix it. The plan is only for accidents. What a joke.

Very misleading with the extended warranty. We purchased since we were told that if we did not need to use it within 5 years that we would receive a refund. This is completely incorrect it is a store credit that can only be used in their stores. So we spent the extra $500 and had we been told upfront what it actually was we would not have purchased it. Be careful and ask lots of questions when purchasing the EXTRA stuff..

Under zero circumstances do I advise anyone to purchase furniture here. Management lied to us several times and signed us up for a credit card without our consent. Our furniture was delivered months after we were told it would be. Very disappointing

My husband and I went in to look around on a rainy day and ended up purchasing a 7 piece outdoor furniture set. Lol Micah was awesome, he let us browse without hovering, answered all our questions when we discovered the furniture set and worked with us to get us a great deal. He was also incredibly helpful helping us load the furniture into the truck. Everyone at this location was very nice and friendly. I highly recommend shopping there. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately had a negative experience here. The overall shopping / selection was fine. Our floor sales man Cameron was new which is no problem, but never mentioned that there was a no return policy. If we had known that, we would have not purchased what we did because we wanted to see how the item fit in our space first. Unfortunately we didn't love the item and when we tried to return it (unused, in original packaging) we were told no showroom items could be returned. Extremely disappointed in this location not mentioning this important information to us at purchase and for not even including the information in the paperwork. Also disappointing that they didn't work with us to figure out a solution. I recommend caution to those who shop here and if you're on the fence with something, don't purchase it because you'll be stuck with the item regardless

Good selections

I bought two couches a few years ago. The people in the store were friendly but ultimately lied to me. I don't recommend getting the protection plan on anything you buy from Ashley furniture, it’s truly a waste of money. I haven't even had the couches for two whole years and one of them, with minimal usage, is falling apart. Ashley Furniture considers this “normal wear and tear” and doesn’t care, even with the additional coverage I bought. I think the set I bought was around $5000, and it will not even last two years. You'll get a lot more value for your money going literally anywhere else. At this point, cheap Amazon furniture might last longer. I will never buy anything from Ashley furniture again.

He's been there a long time and is super knowledgeable with great ideas. He was extremely patient with me and would wonder off when I wanted time on my own to peruse the furniture. I had one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered at Ashley Furniture, and it was because of Lydia, the salesperson who assisted me. I purchased a couch that turned out to be defective — it was uncomfortable, poorly made, and definitely not what was not of the quality Ashley has historically been known for. When I brought this to Lydia’s attention, not only did she refuse to take responsibility or offer any real help, she actually blamed me for the issue. To make matters even worse, during the conversation, she made an incredibly inappropriate and offensive comment about my weight — calling me a larger than average person — as if that justified the couch’s poor quality and workmanship. I was stunned and deeply hurt. That kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially from someone in a customer-facing role. No one deserves to be treated with such disrespect. I expected professionalism and support, but instead I was met with blame and personal insults. I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again, and I strongly urge management to address this situation. Customers deserve to be treated with dignity — not judged or insulted.

It was your average Saturday, maybe around 6pm. Mood? ✨S T R E S S✨ Why? We have an empty loft. We have family coming over at the beginning of next month, WHERE WILL THEY SIT?! HOW WILL THEY COMFORTABLY WATCH A MOVIE??!! Okay, back to Saturday. My fiancé and I were at a furniture store, found a couch we liked. The gentleman helping us out was “trying to help us out”, was a bit pushy, we said no thank you GG. We left, couchless. Sad. Broken. ✨S T R E S S E D✨ So what do we do? Where do we go from here? We just left an “affordable” furniture store, but it didn’t feel affordable? Should we try a “big name” company? Why not. We already left one store couchless, won’t make a difference if we do it again. We search up the closest furniture store and Ashley Furniture pops up, so we buckle up our seatbelts (both physically and our emotional one) and head on over. We walk inside, and who greets us? This incredibly welcoming lady who goes by Lydia. What did we walk out with? Our dream couch and what felt like an infinite amount of dopamine. Lydia made our whole couch adventure easy and very pleasant, helped us out with the financing options which was one of our biggest worries. We loved this experience so much, we’re going to be back this upcoming week for a coffee table! Please consider this spot for your furniture needs, let Lydia help you with the stress!

Outstanding furniture and customer service. We came in looking to upsize our mattress. My fiancé likes firm whereas I prefer softer mattresses. We tried countless other stores but couldn’t find something we both liked until we got to Ashely’s. Colin was a huge help. He displayed an upbeat attitude as well as extreme professionalism. He didn’t helicopter over us, but he was also never too far away and checked in with us providing recommendations until we found the perfect middle ground. Unfortunately, I had to change my review. As you can see below, I had an excellent experience purchasing the furniture, the rest has been a nightmare. I have two chairs that have been on backorder twice. We are decorating a model home at work and we have already found replacements. I requested for the chairs to be canceled. One of them was even a manager and said that it would be handled. when I asked for emails on both occasions with a confirmation that the order was canceled, I was told that couldn't be done I've had to call numerous times and I still have not been reimbursed or had this shipment canceled. I texted the sales agent and never heard back. I would purchase from another location. Customer service is excellent on the front end, but if anything pops up on the back end, you will spend a lot of your time and money, and it still will not be corrected. Colin and Jackie were so patient, knowledgeable and super helpful! 10/10!

I honestly hate furniture shopping because it’s completely overwhelming. I usually leave without buying anything and review furniture items online. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience shopping for beds and bedroom furniture. Upon entering the store, my mom and I were greeted by a Ms. Virgie Gore who asked what we were looking for and how she could help. She guided us to the kids beds and explained how the current sale worked and also explained the store’s selection. She spent over two hours with my mom and me going over different bed frames, mattresses, and dresser options. We tested the temper-pedic mattresses and the adjustable bases, and it changed my perspective on sleep! Through and through, an A+ experience. I’ll be back!

He definitely knows his product line and was so informative not only showing Mom different mattresses and taking the time for her to try them out, but also his patience showing her how all the adjustments work. We came away with confidence that she could handle the user friendly remote independently. Colin also went into detail as to how the height blocks included could be used and how the option of the under bed lighting was available to be used as a night time safety feature. DO NOT SHOP WITH THEM!! HORRIBLE SERVICE AND THEY LIE! Let me tell you my horror story with them. They do not explain well that once the furniture is dropped off you can’t return it. I asked questions asking is there any possibility I could return the furniture if it was too big for my apartment. Because sometimes that happens. They said yes and I had 30 days to call back and get it returned. So when the unfortunate event happened that the furniture was too big they wouldn’t let me return it. WHICH IS CRAZY. They lied to me in the store just to get a sale. Something about a “competition”. RICKY my salesperson was just as fake and didn’t explain anything proper to me about the process. They claim I had to “refute” it when it was delivered at that very moment but none of that was explained. I even called corporate and they said it was nothing they can do. I even tried to explain how I would just like to exchange it for something else but they wouldn’t let me. I tried to let this situation go but I genuinely hate my furniture and I get so frustrated when I see it. So take my advice and DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS GREEDY COMPANY. Also I don’t even leave reviews but this time I had to say something. DO NOT SHOP WITH THIS STORE!!!!!

I was trying to find a recliner for my son who had moved to charlotte. He had started work immediately and had no time to search for furniture for his empty apartment. The salesman at the store named Reggie was able to help me find a recliner in the store that could be delivered the next day which was so helpful I was able to pay it from my phone and my son has a chair on the way so I’m so glad he has something other than a bed in his new apartment. Good work, Reggie.

Just go to Temu. Same quality, less expensive. I was delivered the wrong color sofa after specifically telling the sales associate the picture on my receipt looked different than the color of the furniture in the store and was told “oh, that’s just the printer. There’s only one brown.” Then the delivery occurred earlier than my expected window. Obviously the color is wrong and there’s a whole with stuffing coming out of the chair. I told them, expecting them to call someone and they said I have to go back to the Ashley store and to sign that it was delivered. I asked if this was confirming everything was accurate or just that they delivered. They told me AND I read what I signed stating I was only signing that the items were delivered, which was odd to me but that’s what it said. When speaking with Ashley, of course they said oh all of that had to be addressed with the delivery company (3rd party). Never again. There’s too many options out there to have to deal with this. I ordered Amazon brand’s living room furniture, delivery, quality, and aesthetic were too notch. I went to Ashley because it was convenient at the moment and I just picked out the most comfortable lease senior-citizen looking furniture I could find. Learn from my mistakes.

I called here three times this morning to inquire about them having a couch in the showroom to come see. The first two times I heard them pickup the phone and hang up. The third they let ring to voicemail. I suppose the associates are not interested in making sales here. Not a good look for their customer service. I’ll go elsewhere.

Had a great experience. Mickey was extremely helpful and took the time to show us a lot of options and explain everything including the warranty coverage. We bought 2 items and then ended up calling and adding another. He was amazing.

Buyer beware. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired and they don’t care about the customer. My husband and I purchased a master bedroom set which was delivered to our new home, had it for a couple of weeks before we moved into the new home and actually slept on it. We had slept on the bed for a week - and one night the entire mattress fell about three inches and the bed slat system broke. Come to find out - they had installed the bed slats wrong. My husband has been on the phone with customer service for hours for the last two weeks - the bed slats are not in stock, unknown when they will be in stock, and they will not pull it off a new bed set to replace. We have been sleeping on our old mattress and a couch since we can’t sleep on the new bed. And they will not give us an estimated time this will be resolved after we bought the set for thousands of dollars. This is ridiculous. Do NOT buy from Ashley- they do not care about the customer.

If you're looking for quality furniture and outstanding service, do yourself a favor and visit Ashley Furniture. Be sure to ask for Mickey – you won't be disappointed!

I bought a sectional from this Ashley store and bought a cushion protection plan for $399 because I explained to the salesperson that I have dogs. She stated that the protection plan would cover any damages from the dogs nails. This was my specific concern because it is a tweed like fabric. I have since made two claims for cushions, one for loose threads caused by the dogs nails and the other for a burn mark. The first was rejected because the plan does not cover any damages made by dogs. That was the first lie I uncovered after having to request statuses on the claim multiple times. They (5StarService) do not contact you if there is a problem. I had filled out the claim form online but the system rejected the photos and we were not alerted. I had to figure that out on my own by calling them. Then that first claim was rejected anyway. I am now working on the second claim for the burn mark and I am about 8 emails and a month in now where I am basically harassing them for a status and they keep asking me for more and more pictures. This plan that Ashley sells is a scam. At best 5StarService are working with a skeleton crew that does not leave notes for the next person and they don't communicate with you or each other. Save yourself the $399, your time and sanity and just buy the replacement cushions directly from Ashley. Better yet just don't. The sectional we bought is already sinking in some places and it is only a year and a half old. Absolute nonsense and lies. I have had to send less documentation to my health insurance to make them cover an MRI. This is a replacement cushion cover not a Kidney! Why does it have to be this hard?

I can't speak for other Ashley locations but I can for the E.McCullough charlotte location, the sales people there are AWSOME, but Nicholas gave me an above a 5 star treatment. I can admit i am no easy customer for sure, but he was patient (which is so rare to find in retail nowadays) he's was understanding, caring, and oh so friendly and funny. He never no matter how many times I changed my mind or even how difficult I was (and i was lol)he never lost his patience nor his professionalism all he cared about was making me happy with my selection when i finally made one.Thank you Nicholas for an AWSOME experience and a big shout out for another great sales Rep Dwight you guys are dynamite

I had a wonderful experience at Ashley’s. Bryan helped me, listened to what I was looking for and within a short time found the perfect bedroom set. It was delivered yesterday and that experience was just as great. The men were very nice and took care to make sure nothing was damaged from the truck to placing it in the room.

William Duarte was absolutely great to work with. I have knee problems and have trouble getting up when sitting on a low seat. William would go around and sit on loveseats to check on the firmness of the cushions so I didn't have to. I highly recommend William and Ashley Furniture.
