Made a purchase for a bed/matress/box spring mid August and was informed that my purchase would be delivered 9/12 and that the team would reach out 48 priors to confirm delivery. Was also informed that I would receive my receipt and everything via email. Received nothing. 9/12 comes and I hear nothing from Ashley, no email/call or anything. Contact Ashley myself and they say the mattress is on back order until 10/2. Would have never known had I not contacted Ashley myself. Received an email at the end of September saying they weren’t sure when the mattress would be available but i should receive an email once the mattress was in so that a delivery could be scheduled. I go into Ashley two weeks ago to get an update on my order. The salesman says it shows everything is ready and they just need to schedule a delivery. I asked why no one had reached out to me and he said he was unsure but could schedule the delivery. He scheduled the delivery for 9/12 and said I would be contacted 48 hours prior. On 9/12 I still had heard nothing from Ashley so I reached out. They said unfortunately their system was down so they weren’t able to contact me for the delivery. I guess the system was down for 2 days since I didn’t get the 48 contact prior to 9/12. She reschedules me for Monday, (today). I finally get the delivery confirmation 9/14. 9/16 get here and I’m informed (by the delivery guys) that they are having trouble finding the apartment. I send the address via text. They let me know they are down stairs. They elevator was having a few issues and moving a little slower than normal. Let them know I’m getting the elevator key and that I’m coming down. They can’t wait “too long” because they have to make other deliveries. On my way down to the loading dock, the team leaves. Now I have to wait until tomorrow after 2pm to reschedule again (their policy) after taking this day off work for the delivery. The absolute worst delivery and customer service experience I have ever received from a company. Will definitely be my last purchase with Ashely.

UPDATED REVIEW: Avoid purchasing furniture here in store at all costs, unless you want to pay double the price!!!!! We purchased 4 dining chairs and 2 bar stools. The 4 dining chairs weren’t in stock at the store and had to be shipped while we were able to take the two bar stools home the same day. While in store, we REPEATEDLY asked if we were being charged for double of each item as they are sold in SETS OF TWO, therefore we would not need 4 sets of 2 chairs and 2 sets of 2 barstools… We were completely taken advantage of as they told us the opposite, that each was sold individually… completely contradictory of their own packaging/website (not ashley home stores but their specific outlet website). We called today before our chairs got delivered tomorrow to deal with their clear error and we’re given the runaround. After trying to blame us, they told us that they would have to try to put in a special ticket for our dining chairs to be adjusted and would be unable to help us in the barstools as we took them home, even though we only took home half of what we paid for. There is no way they would have removed one stool the set of two from the SET OF TWO box and sold them as individual stools, yet they charged us for each stool individually… Ultimately, they adjusted the cost for the chairs, but we are out $300 for the barstools. The manager told us to call corporate customer care, we called corporate and they told us they can’t do ANYTHING and all discretion is up to the store… Clearly they could adjust for THEIR mistake and are CHOOSING not to. I urge you to use caution and only purchase online or go somewhere else entirely. I can’t imagine wanting to ever work with a business who took advantage of a young couple making their first furniture purchase together. Truly a shame. OLD: Everyone was so kind and extremely helpful! We were in and out with new barstools as well as dining chairs!

Es una tienda que vende productos de mala calidad, aparte de eso tienen mal servicio al cliente y con la excusa de que es un outlet, lo obligan a recibir las cosas asi esten en mala calidad, y que no le devuelven el dinero, la unica persona con buena disposicion ayudar es la señorita karen de resto terrible la atencion. No recomiendo esta tienda lo peor en muebles. Lo envian a que uno llame atencion al cliente y nunca hay alguien que hable español y en ingles solo saben es transferirlo de una linea a otra.

While looking for an affordable couch after abruptly moving, I thought I found what I wanted at Ashley, and I did, but the process getting it was absolutely unacceptable. When I first entered the store I wondered around looking for someone to help me. Finally (who I assume is) the manager asked if I needed help and I said yes. He went and grabbed someone from the back who was on her cell phone and seemed annoyed she had to help me. She did, however, and we placed the order to be delivered in a few weeks. Perfect timing because I had a friend coming to visit my new apartment. Well, the movers show up and since it wouldn’t fit in the elevator, after watching one of them man handle it over his head for approximately 30 yards alone, they couldn’t possibly carry it up 2 flights of stairs with two people. They loaded it back on to the truck assuring I’d hear from Ashley about next steps. Days went by of me calling customer service representatives trying to figure out what was going on who were rude and less than helpful. I finally read the online policy that stated if it was over 3 flights of stairs they couldn’t deliver it. Let me remind you, mine was 2. I called the store directly and was told that the lady that sold it to me would call me back because I was indeed correct about said policy and they should have delivered it. Instead of calling me, she instantly put in a new delivery request to have it delivered A WEEK LATER to avoid an upset customer and what probably would have been an unpleasant conversation. After my guests had arrived and left, the day before thanksgiving when I was supposed to leave town but I wasn’t going to chance it being delayed ANOTHER week, the couch was set to be delivered. No call, no explanation, just this is what it is. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the customer service I received at this specific location. The second movers took it up the stairs no problem and I have no complaints about the couch which is the only reason I’m giving 2 stars. Take your business elsewhere. They may have good prices but not worth the horrible customer service.

The worst experience buying a sofa!! I bought a sofa on May 15, 21. It took 2 months to be delivered. The same day I reported that the sofa was damaged. So, I opened a request and they told me they were going to deliver a new sofa in a few months again due to the pandemic and I patiently waited more 2 months to receive a new sofa without damage. To my surprise, on the second attempt at delivering a sofa that should have been new, the delivery man himself opened the box before taking the sofa to my apartment and saw that this supposed new sofa was even worse than the one I had in my apartment. On the same day I opened another request and I was told that a third attempt would be made to deliver a new one. The same employee who came to deliver the third sofa opened the box and saw that the third one was also damagedd. In this third attempt to get a decent sofa with no damage, I refused the delivery again and said I would ask for a refund of the amount that I paid. So, I made a request and the person told me that the full amount would be refunded to my account after picking up the couch at my house. But I just checked my bank statement and saw that the amount was not fully refunded!!! It's missing almost $100 dollars!!!! I am extremely angry about this whole situation and disappointed with the customer service. I waited 4 months, paid cash in full for a new sofa and tried to receive it for three times. It was horrible and I still have not been refunded the full amount. It was not my fault that the purchase was not concluded. I just wanted a new sofa with NO DAMAGE!!!! Thanks to all this misfortune and all this time with no solution to my problem, I'm having to sit on the floor, as I'm without a sofa and without the full refund of the amount spent on this purchase. It's unbelievable that they could even keep 100 dollars of mine after all this time and upsetting situation that I have been going through because of ashley homestore. On top of that, yesterday they delivered a box in my home with parts of the sofa and said that it was a mistake and I have to dispose them. The customer service never can help, they always say they are sorry, but there is nothing they can make. It is the worst customer care and experience that I have ever seen. I will never recommend that store for furniture, and I will never buy in this place again.

UPDATE: as of today October 10, if I could give 0 stars, I would. So after everything we went through, nobody called us back from the refund department. After multiple calls to both store and corporate office, the delivery of a replacement was finally scheduled and delivered in September. You would think that would be the end of this horrible experience- wrong. The saga continues. The high quality product (as advertised) was defected and couldn’t be assembled. At that point I told the delivery guys (super nice and professional) to just replace the defected piece with the one from my accent cabinet that they were replacing. To my surprise (not), the old cabinet (which was being replaced) could not be disassembled because it was all glued in!!!! So then, when we called to reschedule yet another delivery for a replacement, I have been told that it was schedule for October 10. Today, October 10, no delivery or signs of an accent cabinet. When I called to complain, I have been told the new delivery date is end of October!!!! now, 4 months after the order was originally placed, I am still without an accent cabinet and being bounced between the store and the corporate office. TERRIBLE!!!! at this point, we have asked for a full refund (again) and have been told that one cannot be granted - just store credit. Who in their right mind would want to deal with them again!!!! Now I am waiting for a manager from the corporate office to call, because the store manager (Kelly)told me she cannot do anything for me, while being extremely rude and I had to ask her multiple times to stop interrupting me and listen to my experience. At this point, I don’t even know who can help to just get me my money back, so that I can go elsewhere and finally get an accent cabinet for my house! ——————————————————————————- Terrible terrible terrible experience all around - product quality and customer service. Product was delivered defective (literally falling apart) and even though the pictures were sent right away upon unwrapping, customer service failed miserably in handling a replacement or a refund. First, they tried processing a refund with no luck. Then, somebody said that I was processed incorrectly and they can get us a replacement, which we agreed to (not sure why at this point. Then they gave their best effort to replacement, with a lot of issues and errors, and after more than two months of waiting and countless delivery date moves, we are still waiting for somebody competent to do it right. At this point, we have asked for a full refund and now need to wait for a refund department to get back to us. With how things have been going thus far, I wouldn’t hold my breath.

12/20/18 I called to cancel an item in my order(table) because I found what I originally wanted elsewhere. Also, I noticed online the mattress I brought was already being sold for $269 which is what I paid in store after he deducted $200 from the $469 it was selling for in order to compensate for the "free" boxspring he "threw in". However, I was told previously by a sales associate, shanice, that they match online prices so I stated to Mo Sutter in essence, I didn't really get the foundation for free and since ashley furniture price matches, can $200 be deducted from $269 and he says "they werent matching online prices that day" so i decide to cancel the foundation(boxspring) beacause its not really "free" and he was maybe quick to give it to me for "free" because he knew the mattress was already $269 online. So after that he says he needs to call me back. So he calls back and says he can discount the foundation to the online price of $140 saving me an extra $60 off my bill. In that moment I hesitantly agree because I am tired after being up for 16 hours over night at work. The next morning, fri 12/21, after working night shift again I wait up untill 10am to call and decide to cancel my whole order. I did not feel I was treated with good quality service, I did not feel my needs were put first in trying to get me the best deal or that he was understanding. I felt everytime I called to make a change it was as if I am messing up his Christmas bonus by taking away from the sale he made. Furthermore; $60 + $600 (+tax) was taken off my sales ticket but my 159 deleivery charge never went back to the $99 dollars it was before I added the table to the order so in essence I didnt save $60; I saved $2. So unfortunately I didn't trust this process anymore and wanted to cancel. I spoke to mo and he wasnt patient or understanding when I gave my reasoning of being indecisive and finding some items cheaper online elsewhere and even at the Ashley outlet store online it was a cheaper delivery charge and a 10% off coupon so I was thinking I'll just order my items offline via the outlet store. However, I was trying to still give him a chance to keep the sale so asked him to perhaps match the online deal of 10% off and 79.99 delivery. He said "he could not grant the 10% off; that is only online". To me that's understandable but not getting me the best deal. I can hear the agitation in his voice because im not being swayed to keep the order the way he wants it and he says " what type of quality is the items your looking at, is it cheap because you had real wood with us" :which is a lie i discovered after more research into the company. I was calm and never expressed to him how he didnt make this an exciting and enjoyable expierence so at that moment I said "I would like to cancel my whole order but thank you for everything". And he just hangs up without saying goodbye. I call him back on the number he called me on and no answer. I call the store phone number and talk to james, he apologized and says my order has been cancelled and to give Mo a few hours to submit cancellation/refund and then will send me confrimation. So I call back tonight 12/21 because I had no confirmation in my email 6 hours later and no one answers it just rings and says "call cant be completed try again later". I call again and drew (store manager) answers and says "is this (my name)and he knows its me because of my phone number." So it is sad to even think these employees at this store have been screening my calls because there have been a couple of times I have called and received no answer. So I asked him to verify my cancellation he spoke to Mo and processed the cancellation of my whole order." Unfortunately he wasn't even inqusitive of why I cancelled my order to get some valuable customer feedback. What I get is the same email I received the day before reflecting only the dining room table and $60 being removed not a full cancellation. So dont shop here they dont value great customer service! No one even greeted me when I walked in and was walking around.

BUYERS BEWARE!!!! I know everyone says this but if I could give zero stars I would. The customer service here is absolutely AWFUL! They’re misleading and untrustworthy. The buying process was terrible! It takes you 20 minutes to find someone to assist you. Then, when you finally get help, they process your entire purchase on an iPad. You would think they would give you all the papers that you signed etc., but they do not. They don’t even try to email them to you either. They give you a receipt and send you on your way because they don’t want to deal with you anymore. The salesperson is Jonay and I would not recommend buying anything from him. However, more than a few days go by and I decided against the purchase I made because I found something else more suitable. I called the store to find out that you have to call a customer care number if you would like to return and/or cancel your order. I, immediately, felt like I was given the run around at this point because this information wasn’t provided to me when I was purchasing the item. I call the number and let them know I would like to cancel the order in which case they said they would be glad to cancel, but I would have to pay a restocking fee. The restocking fee is 10% of the purchase!!! Why would I have to pay a restocking fee on something that HAS NOT been delivered AND WON’T be delivered in less than 5 days!!!!! I requested the item to be delivered in the next 2 weeks!! Then, she went on to say that the salesperson should have went over that with me that I could receive a full refund (without restocking fee) if I cancelled within 72 hours. I told her that he never told me that information he just went through a lot of documents on an iPad because he wanted to “assist” other customers. She then said it was in the terms and conditions I signed which should have been provided to me in a black folder after the transaction. I told her that the salesperson gave me none of these documents. I was livid at the fact that I have to pay this fee that wasn’t explained to me in the beginning nor could I read that information on my own had I had the documents. I told her that it was misleading and she apologized and put me on hold to call the manager to ask about it. She came back on the phone with me and said there was nothing she could do. Then, she said that after the cancellation is processed, which should take 48 hours, I would get a call from the store manager letting me know it has been completed. Also, to further discuss this restocking fee. Did I receive a call in 48 hours? No, I didn’t and I had to call the store back myself to request information regarding this refund. I was on the phone with just a salesperson who verified that I would get a full refund back within the next 10 days! Then, when I finally get the refund it is, as you would assume, 10% short! I called back and they kept stating that I signed the documents and that’s it. There is nothing they can do! I was beyond pissed!!!! You can’t just cheat hard working people into sales and out of money. It’s shameful and bad business. I will never purchase anything from the Ashley Furniture store on South Blvd. Charlotte, NC again!
