I recently had the pleasure of shopping at Ashley HomeGoods, and I must say, my experience was nothing short of phenomenal! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by friendly staff personal Jamiecka, who was eager to assist me in finding the perfect pieces for my home. The selection of furniture and decor was impressive, with a wide variety of styles to choose from. I particularly loved the contemporary section, which had some stunning sofas and accent chairs that really caught my eye. The quality of the items was evident, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable for such beautiful pieces. I was also impressed by the layout of the store. It was easy to navigate, and I appreciated how everything was organized by room and style. This made it so much easier to envision how different items would look together in my space. Monse was amazingly helpful. My daddy needed a new recliner bad. The old one, the remote was a POS, I replaced it 3 times in the last year. I called Ashley and spoke to Monse, she listened to my issues and was very helpful and knowledgeable of their product line and in store availability. Most furniture stores don't seem to have anything actually available. My daddy needed a new recliner TODAY. He will be 83 in three days and loves nothing more than reclining with a weasel in his lap and the Hallmark channel with the volume at about a million. The new chair Monse found me doesn't have a stupid remote, the controls are integrated. She understood that dad doesn't need Bluetooth he needs integrated cup holders. Once the guy showed me how to take the chair apart, Monse helped me loud it up on my truck. I would say if you need furniture, definitely go see Monse at Ashley. I will get y'all a picture of dad with the weasel in the new Barco Lounger tomorrow!

My day started out wonderful. Then went to rooms to go ,purchased living room furniture that was on sale. The guy told me because of the sale I have to pick it up myself or pay them 150. So I told him I will pick it up myself. This is what he wrote on paper that I have to pick it up by 9/17/ 9/18. So I said ok by the way make sure no one sit on it he told me not to worry that he will make sure they wrapped it so I said ok . On 9/15 spend out all this money on a uhaul for them to tell me I can't pick up my furniture because pick up day are Tuesday and Wednesday the guy never said it that way. So me and a friend went to Ashley and a wonderful salesman named John help me he really made my day. Thanks John I purchased a bed from u guys

Marlin was great. Extremely professional and for once we were not followed around and harassed by a salesperson! He helped us find an amazing bed and gave us space to talk between ourselves and if you have ever shopped in a furniture store you know how aggressive some salespersons can be. Offered us multiple options and took no for an answer when we decided against his/ashley furnitures headboard options. Which is why we felt confident in spending well over 8 grand with him! I would definitely recommend this establishment and personally will only deal with him in the future! Thank You sir!

After shooping at several furniture stores in the Raliegh/Durham area, I highly recommend saving time and heading over to the Ashley Store in the New Hope Commons Shopping Mall. Update: Found out the very next day that a better deal was available online and the "deal" that I thought I was getting was actually the price online, and I even paid more for a few pieces than what was being offered online. Do your research thoroughly before going in the store. The "manager's special" isn't real and neither is the "20%" in-store discount. I've reduced my star rating down from 5-stars: I got played with the pricing. Quality product, didn't like the hustle.

We went in on the 4th of July to start looking for living room and bedroom furniture. We didn’t know if we would actually purchase anything but thought it might be a good time to take advantage of holiday sales. John helped us buy a bed. He was extremely knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of information about the different mattresses and what we should look for when we tested them. He was helpful without being pushy. He made the process easy and the whole experience a positive one for us. We still have more furniture to buy and will likely see John again in the near future.

However, the return policy did not make us return customers. We got our ottoman in our space and decided it didn’t go with the couch and it’s WAY too big. We called the store on the day after delivery and they don’t accept any returns. Now I’m stuck with an ottoman in my way that I hate. It took a space I loved and trashed it. It’s a very nice ottoman. Nothings wrong with it, but I don’t want it and now I’m stuck with it.

Came to Ashley furniture store to find a couch since I’m moving in a month up to NC from a different state. Friendly, knowledgeable and efficient service, good selection of products. Unfortunately their sales pitch was misleading. I purchased an expensive electrically controlled recliner, which was in stock and was delivered within a few days. I was shown a motor battery pack which went with it but the battery pack was not delivered with the chair. I called the store and they told me the battery packs could not be delivered and must be picked up from the store. I went to the store to pick it up and was then informed that the battery pack was a separate purchase which cost $219.99! I was not informed of any of this on my original visit to the store. Nice furniture but be careful to check carefully to see that you get what you think you're paying for.

Wanted a new couch so I stopped by Ashley a couple weeks ago. I like the fact I was able to look around 1st before I was approached for some help. Marlin was so nice and very knowledgeable about all the furniture. Showed me plenty of options. I even started looking for bed frames, and he showed me the adjustable foundation beds. OMG I loved them. I didn't purchase anything that day. I needed more time to look around. Return back today hoping Marlin would be there but sadly he wasn't. Jordan was so helpful this time around. He was just as friendly and knowledgeable about the furniture I wanted to purchase. Gave me time to look around and made sure me and my family was comfortable while we was in the store. If you ever go to Ashley's Furniture in Durham in New Hope Commons plaza you can't go wrong If you talk to Marlin or Jordan great guys! They made me a diamond member.

Well, I was not happy how long it took and it wasn’t the poor girl fault-she was obviously was new and every few minutes she had to check with her supervisor. The supervisor seeing she was struggling with a big order should have mentor her and guide her. Instead, leaving her to struggle and I had to leave because I was so frustrated . My family had to take a flight and this process took 2 hours-buying furniture should not take 2 hours. If this buying process took longer my family would have missed the flight. I have 4 stars because she was new, is the fault of supervisor monitoring her.
First, we arrived at Ashley Home Store at 10:45am and saw the business hours for Sunday opening at 12pm. While we trying to figure out what to do till 12pm, out comes a very nice lady with a great big smile and says to us, " we're opening today at 11am due to next week " Easter Sunday" we will be closed. If you don't mind sticking around for 15 minutes." We were so happy. Grateful to the beautiful smiley lady that informed us. This location I HIGHLY recommend. Excellent customer service. Marlon our sales associate is AWESOME!!! He is friendly, was very helpful, knowledgeable, answered all of our questions, very patient, kind, humble, respectful and very professional. Furniture choices are great! Great staff. THANK YOU for providing us a great shopping experience.

We hadn’t at that point and he graciously helped me get information on a queen sleeper sofa I had found online. Walked into the door at Ashley Furniture and was immediately approached by one of the salesman Ryan. He was an amazing individual with a great personality. He listened to what I wanted and jumped right in to make it happen. I had been watching this price get reduced on a certain patio set that I wanted for a while. Due to it being out of season this price got reduced to where I needed it to be. They also had an awesome warranty plan that would protect everything through the Ashley Furniture Store not the one that’s online. Ryan walked me through everything with a wonderful financing option with zero interest for 12 months. Absolutely couldn’t resist that option whatsoever. I jumped on it and he was willing to gather a few other decor items for the patio. One being a clock and a great place to store my beer while entertaining guests. I didn’t have the best day walking in and really just wanted to be left alone but after my encounter with Sales Manager Mr. Marlin I left with a smile on my face. He definitely was knowledgeable about the mattresses and taught me a few things. He wasn’t too pushy and didn’t make me feel bad or guilty like some sales people do. She was relatively new to the company but earnest and very helpful. If she had a question, she received fabulous support from her diverse array of delightful co-workers and patient coaching from General Manager Randy Kroner. We frankly never expected this process to be so enjoyable. We’ll highly recommend Mary, this whole team, and this store. Do yourself a favor and do not purchase any additional warranty from Ashley. The people are friendly and the prices are competitive BUT everything changes once your furniture arrives home. We purchased a bedroom set, dining room chairs, kitchen bar stools and outdoor furniture with the additional three year warranty. All together we spent over $5000. The furniture was delivered with no problems. I assembled the bar stools with ease. Less than one year later my youngest son spilled something on one of our bar stools. We called the Warranty company. No one answered but it allowed us to leave a message. We called about a dozen times using different phones and at different times of the day but all with the same result. Finally I spoke with the store manager who gave me his email address and assured me he could get results. I emailed him the details and my dissatisfaction with the process. Nothing. I eventually went through Wayfair and ordered the exact same kitchen bar stool at a lower price. They may not have been directly responsible but because they align themselves with a sub-par Warranty company I am not going to be a repeat customer.

While the customer service in the store was great. Do not expect your items to come within months of purchase. I purchased a couch during the Presidents’ Day 2023 sale and have yet to receive my items as of April 27. It has been over 8 weeks and I have only received light details about a lack of inventory. My original delivery date was March 30th. Prior to the purchase I asked multiple salesmen if I could anticipate delays with delivery and I was guaranteed I would not. Yet, I still don’t have a couch and no updated day that I can expect it. If you want to get your items in a timely matter Ashley’s is NOT the place for it.

My husband Nolan and I purchased a mattress and a couch from this location just a week ago. Both times, Tim assisted us and was so patient. We’ve already gotten the mattress and are very happy with it. There was a hiccup with our sectional order that was supposed to be picked up by 12/7 but was moved to the end of December, so I called the store right away and Tim was able to get it fixed for us. We switched the order, same sectional just flipped the chaise side. New pick up date is 12/6. We’re very excited and are happy Tim took care of this. Thank you!
Update: If I could give 0 stars, I would. When I purchased my couch, I signed up for their in-store card. What I wasn't aware of was that you cannot use that card online as a credit card on their website, you have to place an order through their online chat. I did that recently and the sales person screwed up the order multiple times, even though I confirmed the information that was already submitted via the website. Once I placed the order, they casually forgot to mention that the delivery date listed on the website wasn't correct, and they really didn't know when they would be delivering my item (a mattress). Canceling the order has been an absolute nightmare. Apparently there is no way to get a hold of the online team, so I got the run around with at least 5 different associates. I was just trying to use my line of credit with them as a matter of convenience, but it was awful. In-store is fine, I guess - they work on commission, so they obviously aim to please, but Ashley as a whole is THE WORST. Customer Care is a joke and for some reason no one can help you correctly. Original Review (5/5):Just purchased my first ever piece of new furniture. A nice little couch with reclining seats. I’ve always passed by here, wondering if anyone ever visited as it is never busy. I’m so glad I stopped in! They have a beautiful selection and are very kind and helpful throughout the entire process. Tim Nelson helped me and was super friendly and made the process very smooth. Even when the tablet died as they were processing my credit card application. He kept me updated throughout the entire process and went over all the options I may have wanted regarding coverage on the piece I bought. the other customers and employees were friendly and happy as well. I appreciated the atmosphere. I waited until my furniture was delivered (today) to write my review. I tracked my delivery through their tracking system and the whole delivery took probably less than fifteen minutes. The delivery guys stopped at the leasing office to have them call me to make sure I was expecting them. All around, 10/10. Go visit these guys! Including a photo of my purchase.

We tested out the mattresses, pillows, and dining room tables available. In the end, we purchased a pillow and dining room table and was able to have it scheduled to be shipped to our home with setup within a week and a half. I'm not a fan of any type of shopping but going to Ashley was a pleasant experience. They let me look around the showroom before asking if I needed help. There was no pressure, just a lot of help with answering questions and showing me the options. I feel good about the purchase I made.

We had a good experience at the store, but after we made the purchase things went downhill. We were given a delivery date. When we did not receive a call the day before the promised delivery date we called the store. We were told that our item was not ready and that they did not know when it might be delivered. We had made significant changes to our work schedule to be home for the delivery and did not appreciate not receiving a notification of the status. We canceled our order and we were told it would take 7-10 business days to receive our money back. Hopefully this will happen but it is not acceptable that we are able to pay in the moment we purchase but need to wait 1.5 to 2 weeks to have a return on our purchase after they did not fulfill their end of the deal.

The people at Ashley furniture store was nice
I cannot recommend Ashley for any furniture needs. I purchased a delivery and assembly service for my order, which I am required to be present for. I set the date and cleared my schedule. Only to have them deliver (AND NOT ASSEMBLE) the furniture to the wrong address. They left it at my leasing office and not my address. (The office is a completely separate address.) Didn’t even confirm the identity of the receiver nor ask about assembly (which would’ve directed them to the proper address). Mistakes are made, fine. So I call to have the error corrected, only to be rudely told that they will not be fixing the error on the agreed upon delivery day and any further help would be given at my expense. They also told me I cannot move the furniture from the leasing office where they inappropriately left it. Now it seems I have to miss work (wages!) and class (tuition!) to receive my delivery and assembly service. I will be pursuing compensation for the damages mentioned. They informed me they, by policy, don’t compensate lost wages. Maybe that would work if they addressed their error in more appropriate manner, but in this case - absolutely not. Edit to add: That response by the owner is automated and no one responds when you reach out. Yet another instance of abhorrent customer service.

Our shopping experience in-store was satisfactory I guess; we got to lay on a few mattresses and try them out, and eventually purchased one for what felt like quite a lot of money for us, although it was clearly not one of the more expensive models. We also had to pay a lot of money for shipping, which took several weeks. After our mattress finally arrived, it felt not exactly like we remembered (we may be imagining this), and I double-checked the product number online. Lo and behold, their own official website is selling the exact same mattress we paid ~$840 (and waited weeks) for, except it's $540 with free two-day shipping. Trust me, save yourself this stupidly high middle-man fee and just order online. Edit: Since a store responding to reviews (such as this one did below) often makes people feel like the store is attentive and wants to work with you, I feel like I should point out that I DID text that number, and no-one ever got back to me and nothing happened. So, keep that in mind as well.

Worst experience ever. I have cancel my order and deliver today after wait three months for my stuff to come, constant delays, changing my deliver date, and lying about the have a little chance to cancel my order and deliver, saying I had the first three days of the delivery process to cancel it after telling them I wanted to cancel(note that my stuff was still not completed). My mother was there with me from the began of it all, I have a witness, they said I could cancel whenever before my order was fully completed. Also they offered to give me like $100 dollars off discount off of my purchase fee since my order was being constantly delayed, but I said no.They didn't cancel it until my mom got on the phone and demanding to cancel everything and that's when they officially canceled it.

Over the past 10 years I have spent >$20k on furniture at Ashley, and the product quality and customer service has noticeably gone down. Definitely would recommend purchasing furniture from a different company. My most recent order took 7 months to complete (4 months was the initial projection). Encountered delay after delay with furniture delivery dates, particularly the dining room table which was originally estimated for delivery 6 months before I actually received it. When the dining room table finally arrives, there is a noticeable manufacturing defect on the top surface (great quality control). I decline to sign for the item and have the delivery drivers submit images of the damage for compensation. Nobody calls to follow up. I reach out and they offer a small amount of store credit as compensation ($140). When I ask to have the money just returned to my credit card, they offer half of the store credit value. I understand the whole global crisis around materials, labor and shipping , but feel that Ashley is using the whole "due to Covid...." excuse to cover up for an unorganized business with declining quality, and it certainly doesn't excuse the lack of quality control for their products.

My girlfriend and I moved to Durham a week or so ago and needed to buy a few pieces of furniture for our new place. We found some great pieces at Ashley, but ultimately wound up finding things that worked better for our space elsewhere. However, we felt compelled to write a review because of how helpful their sales associate Justin was. He approached us as we entered the store and immediately began asking questions about our needs, preferences, and apartment. When we realized we forgot to measure our living room, he even pulled up our apartment complex's website so he could check the floor plans for dimensions. We had a lot of questions and Justin was patient and helpful, and had a warm demeanor. He also wasn't pushy as many salespeople can be. If you're looking for furniture in the Durham area, check out Ashley and ask for Justin.

Jordan, John and Trey, were very friendly and helpful while we were shopping for a couch. Jordan told us about one of the couches in the store that he has in his own home, and how he loves the pattern on the cushions. We ended up buying the same couch and think of him whenever we look at the pattern on our cushions. Also the delivery folks were efficient and friendly.
In November of 2021, my parents placed an order for a living room set. They have asked me to place a bad a review to warn others. Firstly, the set arrival date was being pushed back over and over again. They were very unhelpful and didn’t do much but assure us it was on the way. After FOUR months, ONE part of it arrived. The rest of it kept getting pushed back and back and they ended up canceling it. It was a horrible experience. We eventually sold the older couches to make space for the ones on the way and ended up spending MONTHS with one part of a couch, for a large family of 6. We are probably going to get rid of it and order an entire new set elsewhere. It’s a shame they have beautiful furniture but horrible customer service. If we could leave one star we would.

After complaining, they set a date to pick it up 2 weeks later. I am still waiting on the delivery pick up and my refund. They lost me as a customer! I ordered a bed room set a month ago. The first two delivery attempts failed because although they were in my apartment complex, they couldn't be bothered with finding the apartment. On the third try they delivered the set minus the correct platform to the platform bed. When I called, they said they would deliver it the next Friday. Nobody showed on Friday. So I called again and they said Wednesday was the delivery date. On Wednesday they showed up with the same wrong platform, two twin platforms for a king bed instead of a queen platform. At this point, I just want to return the furniture and get my money back to go someplace else. Their customer service is unhelpful and they obviously don't know how to fix their own mistakes. Their delivery service is a joke. Don't waste your money for this circus of an experience. (See the photo for my sleeping experience for the last three weeks)
Worst experience ever. Bought a table set. When it was delivered late, it wasnt a table set but bedroom furniture. Then had wait for correct item and customer service didn't know when it would arrive. Stated depends on what's on truck and the delivery destinations. Customer service said call back because person handles compensation wasn't available. I called back and was told only the cost of delivery which was $95 and that I wasn't going receive anything to else. They didn't even care I was out of a table to eat on because of their wrong doing. If I could give a 0 I would. I should have purchased from Rooms to Go as I did previously in past. They were much more friendly, reliable and better customer service.

I bought a whole room set from Ashley Homecare at new hope commons in Durham NC, this is what happing since I got the furniture delivered. It’s not a good quality, just peeling off everything. In less than a year am already frustrated thinking how to buy a new furniture. Don’t recommend them, or else your money will lose. They said I had warranty but call and was put on hold forever

Last year I purchased a leather recliner from Ashley Home Furniture, and a little over a month after it arrived I developed a rash which worsened over time. As allergies are difficult to isolate, I never suspected the chair. Finally, 3 months after the rash first appeared, my doctor suspected possible contact dermatitis caused by the chair. Leather furniture made in Asia sometimes has chemicals like DMF applied to prevent fungus and mold while they sit in hot, humid containers. I stopped sitting in the chair and after a month the symptoms disappeared. I called Ashley furniture after I was sure that the chair was the cause, and they offered to let me return the chair despite the fact we were past the return policy window. They offered a full refund and would schedule someone to come and pick up the chair. Today, a month and a half later, I called back to get an update on the status of the pickup. I found out that an Ashley Home Furniture executive came in and denied the return after the call, despite what they said to me, and didn't even bother to inform me that they had changed their mind. It's one thing to have had a medical issue caused by their furniture, but having them lie to me on top of it just adds insult to injury. Hopefully others will come across this review and avoid the negative experience. **update - so I texted with the "review text line" provided below. And just to set the record straight, the return was approved by a manager at the time of the call according to the customer service rep. But apparently there is another approval beyond that. Regardless, they want to redefine what offering a return means based on their own internal process. Directly from the text to me: " I understand that a return was offered, however, the return must be approved by a specific team set in place for these types of situations. I completely understand that this was not explained clearly to you, but a return is not set in place until it is approved; the person you spoke to can only offer a return." So you're going to offer a return to a customer before the offer is approved? No thanks. I'm done wasting my time.
Ashley is garbage furniture. Way over priced & much is really bad quality . As a real interior designer looking for work they told me during an interview they had 8 different kind of financing 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩 but you only get paid on delivery. Yikes! (they do not pay a living wage, so be careful future sales people) Hiring managers told me that it was ok Bc it’s a lower income/less affluent neighborhood(Durham,nc) NO. 🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩🚩Integrity does matter to many people. $1000 is $1000 $10,000 is still $10,000. If you do still decide to go to Ashley please know that everything is negotiable, everything. Ashley also has a “secret”. Sale every month. They call it “st Jude special” but basically if you donate 25 dollars you get 20% off your entire purchase… and that includes mattresses. This company wasted a lot of my time, so I hope this honest review helps you not waste your time and or money.

Twice in a row I stopped by the Durham store, I then left and went over to the Raleigh store and did the purchase. Every time we went to the Durham store, it took a while to have a staff coming to greet us. If we ended up having any one helping us, the staff who originally helped me would just "disappeared." This past week we went, we asked a question and they said they will go find out the answer for us, and just did not come back. Turned out that they went to help other customers, so we waited for an hour (no joke, it was that long). We are fine if one particular staff is busy so they cannot come get us, however, I would appreciate they send someone else over, or at least let us know they might not be available for a while. But there were no communications. We saw other staff available in the store, but no one approach us to check in with us. We felt pretty ignored both times we went and tried to purchase something. In contrast, it was a totally different experience in another Ashley store at Raleigh. At the Raleigh store, staff are super friendly and helpful, and will send another staff over if they hands are tight. So I talked to them and finished my purchase in an hour, even I had to work with two totally different staff. This means the time I used to complete my purchase in the Raleigh store is the same as the time I used on waiting to get help in the Durham store. According my my own experience, I would recommend people considering going to other store rather than being restricted to this location, even if this one's location is more convenient. In addition, the Raleigh store is much bigger so their furniture display is less crowded.

The sales representative was very attentive, and listened to what it was I wanted, within my budget. At no time did I feel pressured to make a purchase, and he showed me different payment plans, when I did make my purchase. The overall experience was good, and I would shop at Ashley furniture store again.

Second post. Still waiting for replacement part for a sofa bed that was requested in January. Was assigned a personal contact who has now disappeared so I am back to no response.
Have been waiting over 16 weeks for a dining table. Get annoying text every 2 weeks saying they are working round the clock to get furniture to customers during this tough pandemic. But then I hear from customer rep that the vendor is slow to make. Well which is it? I can’t recommend this place at all.

Had a wonderful experience at this store. I went in with a very specific idea of the couch I wanted but not a big budget. Quaan helped me find exactly what I was looking for. My husband and I were very happy with the nonintrusive support we received from John Newton during our visit to the Ashley HomeStore at New Hope Commons. We were given space to walk through the store without feeling we were on a sales pressured tour. When John saw we were lingering in an area, he showed us some neat features of that piece of furniture and left us to explore on our own. We ended up purchasing a similar article and easily located him to close our purchase. John worked to give us a good price and clearly explained options of the sale without pressuring us to take advantage of them. I can’t speak highly enough of John or this Ashley home store location. My husband and I came in just browsing and were helped with friendly knowledgeable service. We were offered such a great deal we ended up buying a good bit! John was super helpful...not pushy at all and gave great suggestions to help us with a tricky furniture situation. There were 2 sales people who saw me walk in, never spoke to me. As I was ready to leave they were still on their computers, this time with a 3rd sales person. One guy never got up but did ask myself and another lady if we were "okay". Too late bud, went somewhere else 🤔 won't be back.
We had a wonderful experience at this Ashley home store. Caroline did a fantastic job of listening to our needs and showing us what was available. We were promised a July 15 date for the furniture to be delivered and hopefully that will be the case.

Me and my husband went to the Ashley with no intentions on making a purchase. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Kevin with an amazing welcome!! He showed immediate hospitality which warmed us up to the idea of making a purchase. We feel in love with a beautiful bed and Kevin went out of his way to make sure all our question were answered. Because of his attentiveness we finally settled on an item. Our experience was great from start to finish; I can’t wait until we received our new purchase!!

I went into the store unsure of where to even begin, as I needed to replace all of my furniture do to a change in my living situation. One of the consultants, Nicole, approached me within a minute of entering the store. I explained to her my situation and asked to see options at a few different price points. Nicole not only showed me what I asked for but was open to discussing the pros and cons of the different options, helped me select items that would go together, and even helped me drawl up a floor plan of my home to see how everything would fit. She also demonstrated expert knowledge of the various items in the store and financing options. She was polite and friendly from the beginning to the end of my shopping experience (keep in mind that I was there for several hours and she was attentive to my needs the entire time) and even happy to answer a few questions when I called the following day. I can honestly say that I was dreading having to replace several rooms with of furniture but she made the experience enjoyable and easy. She was even able to get a significant discount, which allowed me to purchase everything that I needed. If the delivery goes as well as the shopping experience then I will be exclusively shopping at Ashley's HomeStore from here on out!

Very disappointed! They delivered a recliner without the block legs! It's been one week and we have been told to contact customer service, the main Ashley number, and are promised a solution but no one does anything. We went to the store where we bought the sofa in person and were told nothing can be done. We just want our money back and for this headache to be over. DON'T BUY HERE! You will highly regret it if your purchase is incomplete because no one will acknowledge there is something wrong and it will not be fixed. BEWARE!
May 14, 2021 worst experience from store manager J. Orosz. Store manager changed pricing three times. He became angry and agitated after being asked to explain what was included in the package. Store manager stated "call cooperate" after money was requested to be refunded. Store manager stated"do what you got to do".
Horrible products. Horrible customer service. Especially customer service. Takes 3 months to deliver my furniture and the items we’re damaged with no time table on when I’ll get a replacement. Don’t waste your time with them or acceptance now who they use to offer financing through. If you choose to use them, I urge to to thoroughly read the contract and I beg you don’t take their word for it.
My wife and I purchased a small couch a while back and were in need of an upgrade. We searched around and ended up at Ashley Furniture. John greeted us once we arrived and gave us time to look at everything before discussing details. He was very patient and answered all of our questions. We even had to come back the next day so that we could remeasure our new living room space before purchasing the couch. All-in-all, John was wonderful to work with! The team there is great, and we enjoyed meeting Jordan, Melanie, and Tom. They were all so kind and provided us a great customer service experience. I’ve already recommended John and team to a couple coworkers looking for furniture and I’d recommend them to anyone reading this as well. Thanks for your help, John.
Been almost a year now.... still waiting to receive my money back from a refund. I talked with the corporate office and that store.... still waiting. I can only assume that my money was pocketed and they think I have money to throw away. They took too long delivering my furniture so I canceled my order. I paid $XX.XX for down payment and $XX.XX for furniture protection and have yet to see my money back for the furniture protection that I don't need with no furniture. Next stop.... report this rip-off to the news station.
Not at all what we expected.In the store the sales person was sweet and helpful but when they deliver the items it a whole different story.the delivery team is not that friendly.They seem as if they don’t care, they don’t make sure that the order is correct or anything like that.This was an issue because when they were arranging our couch they gave us a extra chair that belonged to someone else.They noticed that the chair didn’t fit in with our set but they didn’t take it back. 1 day after they called back and confirmed that the extra chair they gave us belonged to another costumer.They also told us that the furniture was going to arrive in 5 days but it came in 2 weeks.they kept rescheduling the delivery date. Very disorganized and sloppy.Do not recommend shopping here.
I had a good salesman,ask for John.He is patient,help you find your items,and stick with you through out your whole sale.He will get you the best deal,color or what ever you are looking for. The manager and staff is very nice and friendly. I got what I was looking for .

ABSOLUTELY WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER! We bought a entire bedroom suite and dinning set from Ashley in September. They delivered all of our pieces and put them in the garage, never offered to out it together just told me if I had problems contact customer service. When we put the bed together we noticed they sent us the incorrect bed. I contacted them to make it right since that's what I was told to do. Once we called the agent told us the delivery drivers should of installed everything and let me look it over before they left because in our order the sales associate added the plan where we paid to have the furniture put together. After getting the run around they agreed to replace it. Here it is March and still no bed. If I could give zero stars I would. I would NEVER recommend to ANYONE.

Avoid buying here if you want actual furniture within a reasonable time frame. We were told 6-10 weeks and it’s been 3 months and they still can’t give us a delivery date. Very limited communication - mainly me calling to try and find out what is going on. Been promised calls from the store manager but they never called. Disappointed by the of lack customer service and transparency in their delays. I wish we had shopped elsewhere and we will not go back for future purchases even if they can get the manufacturing delays under control.
Worse experience I have ever had, from the salesperson to their lying general manager. After inquiring about my furniture that was promised to be delivered to me on a particular date, I received lie after lie. Something told me to go to Rooms to Go from the beginning, but unfortunately the salesperson persuaded me to buy their product because their service is the best, lie #1. Then when my furniture was supposed to be delivered, they lied again saying it hadn't been shipped from the factory (lie #2). Little did they know, I called the factory and they said it was shipped. The store delivered my merchandise to the individual that ordered the same piece after me. I can't even go into details of the events that happened after that, all I know is I canceled my order and went elsewhere. Never again will I go to this location to shop for furniture. They don't put their customer's first. They rather believe in the lies they tell to try to keep all parties at peace. To their corporate office, I advice you to do an investigation at this store on the past sales where the customer's were not satisfied, I bet some changes will be made from the outcome of your findings.

I am thoroughly disappointed with Ashley Homestore as a whole. This pandemic has become an excuse for every business to "experience delays" in shipments and orders. I ordered furniture on October 19th to be delivered December 3rd and received a TEXT two days before the scheduled delivery to say that they were still waiting for a delivery date. The staff would not accept that I did not want to finance my furniture and wanted to pay for it all that day and kept bringing up different financing options. Tyiah was an excellent salesperson and found everything that I wanted and this review would be better if, given the time constraints, my furniture would have been delivered in the specified timeframe. I received another text yesterday telling me that it would not be until January 7th that I would receive all of my furniture. If it had not been for such the short notice on the delay of my items, my order would have been cancelled and I would have shopped elsewhere. Amazon sells some of the same signature collections from Ashley and delivery dates are between December 11th and 14th. Why cant Ashley's get on the same program as this? I will not be getting any more furniture from Ashley's Homestore ever.
AVOID THIS PLACE. THEY WILL ROB YOU. So I bought a couch back in August and they said it wouldn't be delivered till October because of Covid delays. Im a pretty understanding person I get with all the craziness going on that things have become harder to get things done almost everywhere so that was fine and I agreed with that. Now I wait all the way to October and the day the couch was supposed to be delivered they call me and say "so sorry now its going to be delayed to November." As if that wasnt bad enough they call me again about a week later and now its been delayed to December. I cancel the order at this point because its ridiculous that they want me to wait half a year from when I ordered the piece for the thing to be delivered. Now as if I havent had a bad enough time with this its been over a month and ive called 3 times and I still dont have my refund. I keep just being told oh it will be 7 to 10 business days. Its been over a month now and I still dont have my money back. Its going to take legal action for me to get paid at this point is what is seeming to be the case here.
This place has essentially robbed me of my money. I bought a couch that kept getting delayed for months and once I conceded that I was probably never going to get the thing I tried to cancel the order. They told me the refund would take 7 to 10 business days to go through. After about 14 days I call and complain and the manager assures me that he was going to take care of it himself and that it may take another 7 to 10 business days but he would make sure it would get done. Well its been about 15 days since than and I still dont have my money back. Ive tried to call back again and havent been able to get through to anyone. So im basically just missing over $1200 and no one seems to be in any rush for me to get my money back. Ive already been in contact with a friend of mine whos a lawyer and am planning on taking them to court if I dont see my money within the next few days. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. They are happy to screw you over and have the worst customer service ive ever experienced in my entire life.
Can't get a hold of anyone in the actual store. Was told protection plan covers all wear and tear. It absolutely does not! Leg broke off the chase and back cushions on couch are sagging and they say it will not cover either of those! protection plan is a joke do not buy! Now Iam down a chase and couch is wearing out only after 1 year!
The bedroom suit we chose is gorgeous and well made, our sales person in the store was great. We let them use our drill, they asked my husband to play them certain music on Alexa, couldn't understand the instruction manual for bed. They had our headboard assembled facing the wall, said there weren't enough screws to finish headboard, baseboard and underneath drawers and left. They left styrofoam parts all over floor and scratched our hardwood floors. A workmate of mine had the same experience with non working tools, and they took her mailbox down backing out of her driveway and kept on going. Our bed is still not put together weeks later. I would never let these 2 guys in my home ever again. I'm disgusted. We have emailed and talked with Ashley several times and no resolution.

Was approached by Anthony when I entered. Very nice and respectful when I stated I was just looking. Then store manager,Mark approached again. Told him I was ok just looking. He went on to say we're anxious to talk to you. And that Anthony would help. Not keeping 6 foot distance. After looking for a bit, I did have a question, went to look for Anthony. Couldn't find him so approached store manager. He seemed irritated that I came back with a question. When I asked about an item in a different color, he launched into a VERY condescending explanation that, that only goes for cheaper furniture. Had to step back from him multiple times because he was so close.
I ordered a recliner and they told me 6-8 weeks. I called at the end of 8 weeks to check and I was told it was backordered and they had no idea when it would be ready. No one from the company had called to let me know, and I was told the local store would reach out. Not yet. I canceled the order and I'm still waiting for my refund.
Ashley store seems nice but they give us dissapointment when we bought a sofa that we have patiently waited to deliver but it end up like adding and adding of date of delivery. Unproffedional.
I brought sofa in may and still have not gotten my items. Every delivery date that came up they cancel. I would not recommend delivery services at all going on 5months and still dont have items i paid for.
My wife and I cannot speak more highly of our experience at this store. Kyrah, the employee that helped us, exceeded my expectations by a mile. I’ve never been so pleased with an employees manner, expertise, and determination to get us furniture we loved. She spend a good hour looking online for furniture for us, and we ended up getting a couch shipped to us in 3 days (which is nearly impossible to come by these days). We will absolutely be going back for other furniture needs!
I came looking for a new desk for my home office and the guy who met me at the door immediately walked me to each of the five desks they had on display. I never would have found them without his help! This is a huge store with a great selection! Wish I had more money to spend. But the desks are all sort of table style so kind of hiding in plain sight. Thank you for helping me look! We will be back.
Today they disappointed me. On the first purchase (an elegant sofa) they honored with the word. Today I was waiting for a mattress, because they said it would arrive today. I fixed the room, put the mattress in the trash, but the mattress will not arrive today as agreed. I reallyally sad about the treatment of you.

I ordered furniture the 3rd week of June and was told it would be delivered by August 4th. I made it very clear that it was imperative I have my furniture in a timely fashion around that date. Two days ago I reached out to my consultant for confirmation of delivery since I hadn't received any via email. Today, 4 days before my anticipated delivery date, he informs me my couch won't be available until 9/22!!! That's over 6 weeks past the date I was told when I puchased it! When was going to be informed of this? Would my delivery date come and go without a word? I found the same couch, cheaper, on amazon, ready for delivery August 4th. Needless to say, I ordered it and reached out to the customer service department to cancel my order and initiate a refund. Here's the kicker, I had 72 hours AFTER I placed my order to cancel. After that I have to pay a 10% cancelation fee. ALSO, I have to wait up to 48 hours to hear back from a consultant to confirm cancelation. Only then to have to wait up to 10 business days for my PARTIAL refund. Livid is an understatement. I kicked and screamed. Told them exactly where to shove their couch. The supervisor I spoke with was condescending . I will NEVER CONSIDER purchasing even a throw pillow from that sweat shop of a business again. I have 3 days after my order date to cancel but these people can delay my order by almost 2 months only 4 days vefore delivery and still get some of my money?! Bad business. I'll use my last breath to tell someone to buy their furniture ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!

After two months of waiting for our sectional, the delivery for our remaining two pieces of our furniture were set to be delivered today. On Tuesday, we get notification that only the wedge will be delivered, and the remaining piece of the couch will be delivered August 29. That is over 3 months after we purchased the furniture, and the third time delivery has been changed. A wedge of a sectional is absolutely useless without the other end piece of the couch. Which is what the salesman told us.. and that’s why he told us it wouldn’t get delivered until the entire piece was ready. Now we are having to be home again just to accept this piece we can’t do anything with. Will we ever get the furniture we paid for? The Durham sales manager talks a big game and assures you everything is taken care of.. then absolutely nothing happens. We could have purchased another couch if Ashley would have been transparent about delivery times. We expected and understand some manufacturing delay due to the pandemic, but there is no excuse for the floundering and lack of communication regarding the status of our order.

We were greeted as soon as we came in the door. Shown to a similar piece we were looking at online. Then absolutely fell in love with a different chest of drawers. They also had an amazing sale going on. Left extremely happy with 2 chest of drawers and a night stand. I highly recommend this store. Go see Ben and tell him I referred you!
We are currently building our forever home and are in need of new furniture. We stumbled across this amazing sales person, Dejah, who had answers to all of our questions and took the time to measure all the furniture that we are in need of purchasing. She patiently waited until I had completed a list and worked with managment to get the best price for us. Finally, our home will not be finished for a few months, and they are willing to hold our purchases and deliver them once it's completed. Awesome customer service!

Very disappointed I could give a negative stars I would.... they DO NOT give customer satisfaction even when they are at fault. They give you the run around, phone calls never returned as promised, they are more focused on the sell even if it means resorting to lying to customers. I plan to contact the troubleshooter she seems to get issues resolved thanks Ashely Homestore but NO THANKS! Expect a call soon,and your debut on T.V.
I went into the Ashley Furniture store in mid May. I understood that delivery would be slow due to the virus. I was told that my furniture would be delivered on June 10. I had prepared my home by getting rid of old furniture on June 8. On June 9 I received a call stating that my furniture would not be delivered until July 5th. I called customer service and was told that the date would be July 7th. I am not happy and will not be ordering again.

We knew going in that Ashely HomeStore had a so-so reputation, but it was convenient and we were on somewhat of a budget. We ended up ordering a couch and matching ottoman plus a dining set. Overall pretty happy with the furniture (definitely a little cheap feeling, but not terrible). The service though - so many phone calls back and forth, it felt like you were doing their job for them. We also just felt like we were being hassled a little when going over the prices. We weren't trying to negotiate or anything, but the manager had to take 20min to "look things over to give us the best price", 15min sit down with the sales associate and discuss, etc. Totally unnecessary and a waste of our time. The worst part of the experience, and the reason for two stars, is that there is absolutely NO return policy. Our ottoman came in the first shipment since the couch was backordered by a week. Once we got the couch, we realized the ottoman was way too big for the space and didn't fit with the couch (our fault for not checking the dimensions closer). I called asked asked if we could return or even exchange for something else (ottoman hasn't been touched). Nope. "Once the delivery people have left your home, that's it," I was told. Apparently we could have requested one delivery date, but since we accepted two, we were on the hook for the first one even though it was a set. Honestly wish we had spent more to go somewhere else with better customer service. They may have gotten the sale from us this time, but they've completely lost any future income from me as a customer.
Great prices and friendly faces, I came in the other day and bought a living room sectional and it looks amazing! I'll definitely be coming back again when we finally get around to replacing our bedroom sets haha

The selection of furniture was diverse and highly customizable although at the moment they have a limited stock based on what's on the show floor. We spoke to a representative named Tyler Cox who was as charming as he was information. Great place.
We called before going to make sure they had something within our needs and price range and a sales associate named Brandon gave us a few options. We went into the store to check out the options in person and were greeted by a friendly manager named Ben. Brandon was busy with another customer, so Ben told us to take a look around and Brandon would be with us next. Brandon was a great help going through some of the different options that we had available. Both Brandon and Ben worked hard to make sure we could stay within our budget. We ended up choosing the Ashlor Nuvella (chaise and love seat combo with an ottoman). We were set with the expectation of when delivery would be and delivery was indeed on time within the window of their estimate. We are very happy so far with our purchase. I went into the store on 4/20 and bought a livingroom set valued at over $4,000. Our delivery dat was set for 5/13, 4 out 6 pieces came. Another piece was delivered a little later but would not power on, so they took it back. Today on 6/5 the replacement was suppose to be delivered between the hours of 1pm-4pm. I waited around the house all day for them to come. An update came on the website stating that were running late and would be here by 8. 9:15 we get a call saying that they went to the wrong address. The address that they went to was never our delivery address. The address they went to was 5 minutes from the delivery address. Why after everything that we have gone through could they not deliver our merchandise? 5 MINUTES is all it took. Now they are trying to reschedule again. How many times do they think I can take off work? This is so unprofessional.
I don't know what was going on but the customer service was non existent. Walked in and wasn't greeted although there were ample employees in the store hanging around the front desk. There was ONE employee helping a customer, not sure what the others were doing. Not once did anyone offer any acknowledgement or offer any assistance. I was ready to make a purchase but I gladly took my money elsewhere.
Our sales associate Ben worked with his general manager Bradly and helped us purchase a beautiful couch, loveseat, recliner set. These guys were knowledgeable and listened to us to match our needs with their products. Quality furniture, affordable prices, variety of options, and in a no pressure environment. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

Ordered a couch with Ben, one of the managers. He was straight forward with me about the furniture. Ended up having a little problem with delivery because of Covid but the store did a great job quickly resolving the issue and offering fair alternatives. Definitely good to have a physical store to go to especially with the uncertainty of Covid. Really polite and friendly staff.
Unfortunately I am not able to give ZERO stars. If I could I would. Do not buy furniture from ANY Ashley store! My daughter bought a bedroom set for $2500. When the delivery men arrived (smelling like marijuana and two hours after the scheduled window and an hour and a half after the phone call saying they would be there in 10 minutes) they set up the furniture, pushing both dressers against the wall. They asked if everything looked ok. We looked at the front, top and side of the dresser and chest of drawers. We signed off and the three delivery men left. Later that evening we moved the chest of drawers away from the wall to plug in a TV and noticed 3 of the 4 drawers had pushed through the back of the dresser and left large holes. There is NO WAY the delivery drivers didn&'t notice that. The drawers now push through the dresser with nothing stopping them from sliding into the back of the dresser or through the back of the dresser into the wall. The next morning we called &"customer service&" and were told since we signed off on it there was nothing they would do about it. After speaking to a manager, we were offered $100 credit or a $200 Ashley store credit. Since the dresser cost $450 I&'m not sure how they thought that would rectify the situation. The manager then told me to send her pictures and she would call us in the morning after seeing the pictures. We sent the pictures and she never called the next morning. So I called again the next afternoon and spoke to an EXTREMELY rude &"manager&" who also said their &"policy&" is to not exchange furniture after it has been delivered. I&'m thinking since they have such a strict policy they must run into these situations a lot where furniture needs to be replaced. I pointed out AGAIN that they delivered broken furniture and were very deceitful in pushing it against the wall to hide the damage. She didn&'t care. I have never dealt with a customer service department that had worse customer service!!! I&'m sure the city you live in has other stores that carry similar priced/quality furniture. GO THERE! Do NOT go to Ashley!!!! Their furniture is cheaply made junk and their customer service is horrendous.
I visited this store last week to look at available couches and sectionals. Ben Gamble was the sales associate that greeted me when I came in, and was extremely helpful throughout the whole process. When I had hesitations about a sectional being able to fit in my home, he didn't hesitate to take part of the sectional out so I could easily visualize it. Ben was very nice, personable, and informed. I've purchased from Ashley Home before, and hands down this was my best experience. I highly recommend anyone to ask for Ben, you will not be disappointed!
The customer service was okay. (The guy who helped load our sofas was great!) My issue is that they sold me a plan to protect our sofas that we purchased, and they explained that our plan would protect our sofas with no problem. After 13 months, we had an issue with one of our sofas and tried to use our plan. We then found out that our plan did not cover the problem we have and now have to pay out of pocket. This is very frustrating and I feel that the salesperson misrepresented the protection plan that we paid for. It is fair that I should have read the plan in greater detail, and that is on me. However, it's frustrating that this happened and I was upsold a plan that did not give me the protection I sought.

They even took me the back to look at merchandise that hadn’t been put out on the floor yet. Brad went over everything in detail so there were no surprises and answered all my questions. I worked with Vida Hester, and she was agitated the entire time. Very unhelpful, irritated, and did not want to show us what we came into buy. She said "there is nothing that is close to your needs." We looked around the store for what we needed. Vida said she would call us to let us know when the delivery would occur, but she NEVER did. When her attitude was addressed to her boss, he failed to take our concerns seriously. This behavior is totally disgusting. We got 4 stools, and the first time 2 of them had severe chips and were wobbly. The second time, the chairs were still wobbly. The delivery man was asking for $20 for coming (we had ALREADY paid the delivery fee) AND the stools were damaged. Also, the delivery man signed for us. This is falsification. I have never experienced this with any other furniture store. Disappointed with Ashley's service and delivery.

It took a long time to get my bed and it came damaged now I'm waiting again for another week to get a replacement the lady on the phone told me to call back on Sunday knowing that the place would be closed I've already told my old bed away and now I'm sleeping on the floor with no compensation
The staff was great, the showroom was great and the price was right but the delivery team arrived outside the designated time slot and both my nightstands arrived damaged.
We fell for it but won't again and plead with others to avoid buying here. The disaster of our furniture order is too long and we have wasted too many hours on the phone, in store trying to get our money back. Don't be tempted. Order Ashley furniture online from Amazon or other store if you must.
If you are coming to Yelp for advice on the Ashley Furniture in Durham please notice the low ranking. We ordered a bed frame from them in mid December. It was suppose to be delivered and put together on December 19th. The guys showed up and didn't have the correct hardware for the frame. They ordered it and we waited for 2 weeks for the screws to come. Guess what, wrong screws again. It's January 15th now and the frame is still sitting in pieces in the bedroom. The people here are idiots and don't care about customers or stand behind their products or promises. Please take my advice and shop elsewhere. You can't say you haven't been warned if you shop here and it happens to you. Thanks for your time.
Our experience at Ashley Furniture in Durham was fantastic. Charles Oliver was so friendly and easy to work with! He didn&'t hound us and respected us by giving us the time and space we needed to look around the store. At the same time, he was attentive and eager to answer any questions we had. After the sale, he went above and beyond to get a clearance item from another store. He took care of it himself so that we didn&'t have to drive to the another store across town to pick it up. He worked diligently to get us the delivery time we needed. He stayed in touch after the sale via text and by phone to provide information, answer questions and just help us in any way he could. He was knowledgeable and fun to talk with too! Superb!!!
I purchased a living room suite with a table set on 11/29. Great customer service in the store. Paid cash for everything and was told my delivery date would 12/12/19. 2 days prior to my delivery date, I was told that my couch was scheduled to be delivered on 12/12 but not the table set. Table set was being rescheduled to be delivered on 12/19 due to the manufacturer. On 12/17/19, I called the delivery number and was able to confirm that my table set was still scheduled to be delivered on 12/19 between 8:30AM-11:20AM. The morning of 12/19, I received a call indicating that the delivery driver was 15 minutes away. That was around 10:45AM. No delivery, so I called the delivery number and was told that I would need to call back in 15 minutes while they tried to reach the delivery team. When in reality, they should have just offered to call me back. However, I called back in 15 minutes and was told that my tables where not put on the delivery truck due to a "quality issue." Okay. I took the day off of work because I was told that I needed to be home for the delivery 2 days ago. I called the Ashley store in Durham, where I made my purchase and was told that I would be compensated with "Ashley cash" once the delivery is made which by the way will be 1/2/20 and I purchased my table set on 11/29/19. I informed them that I was not interested in making any further purchases with Ashley and would appreciate a refund. I was told that the delivery fee may be refunded but no guarantee and that I had to wait for the tables to be delivered before calling back and "to be patient." Ummm….I think I am already being patient enough. I paid cash for my furniture on 11/29/19 and not even enjoying it yet. Not satisfied at all.

Not even sure where to start with this place. We visited a few weeks ago to purchase a bed frame and mattress. Tim Lee was our salesman. He spent the majority of our visit talking about the great deal he could get us, which we knew was just salesman talk as it&'s pretty easy to tell when someone is just trying to make a sale. We played along, ended up buying a bed frame, dresser, chest, and very expensive Tempur Pedic mattress. We did not receive the amazing deal Tim kept mentioning, but no issue as we were expecting to spend a lot anyway. We told Tim we needed to at least have the mattress on the 23rd as we were moving into a new house that day with no furniture. He guaranteed we would have it on that day. The manager even came over to speak with us and guaranteed that he would make sure we had a metal bed frame for our mattress delivered on the 23rd if the frame we purchased had not shipped yet.A few days later, we received a call stating that our delivery date was the 21st, 2 days before we would even have the keys to our new home. We talked about this with Tim before we made the purchase that we could ONLY have the mattress delivered on the 23rd. I called customer service and was told oh, we only deliver to your area 2 days out of the week. This was because Tim had entered a completely different shipping address in a city that I don&'t even live in! Strike 3 was when customer service told me they can deliver the mattress on time once we corrected the address, but the rest of the furniture is backordered until JANUARY! Something Tim failed to mention because he was extremely eager to make a sale and didn&'t really care what happened after that. We decided to personally go to the store and cancel our entire order. We had financed the furniture through a Credit card with Ashley, and Tim also messed this up because he somehow listed two different social security numbers on the application and I still have not been able to cancel the card with Synchrony bank because of this error. He honestly did everything possible incorrectly and was not apologetic at all for the problems he caused.I don&'t recommend visiting this specific Ashley store, or even using Ashley in general. There are so many other options For furniture out there. People that actually care about the customer experience. We repurchased all of our furniture from Wayfair (same quality as Ashley for much cheaper) and a mattress from a local mattress store. We are able to get everything on time and I&'m so thankful I cancelled this order with Ashley!

I had issues with ordering a bookcase and office desk online and had been advised by online customer care to come into the store to order it. The sales person was friendly and helped me to match the online price and order my things. When my items were delivered the hardware was missing from the desk and I received 2 conflicting timelines (2 days versus 2 weeks) as to when the hardware would be delivered and used to assemble. I went to the store hoping to get some clarity as to why there was no hardware and what the accurate timeline was. I was met with the same sales person who sold me the table and he was a completely different person. He was incredibly rude and literally said ‘my job starts and ends with selling this to you. It’s not my job to help after that’. I was extremely calm and requested for clarity on when I could receive the hardware to which he couldn’t help. When I told him it is clear he didn’t have the information I needed, he accused me of being aggressive (which I wasn’t) and then had the audacity to say ‘I know the real reason you are here, it’s for a gift card right?’ I was extremely insulted. I understand that issues with deliveries happen and I was honestly seeking for clarity. I walked out of the store and told him he had just lost a customer and I would never return to that store again. I also learnt (which many don’t know) that the Ashley online store competes with the Ashley in store sales. So the customer service is also separated and therefore completely dysfunctional. The experience I had was at the Durham NC store and it is clear that this sales person was only focused on making a sale and not the experience of the customer. It was clear that he had no idea how to handle someone who was calm and just wanted clarity, not a gift card.
I had a good in store experience but when my headboard was delivered it was a different story. They didn’t come doing the right time slot, a dent in the headboard, and left trash around my apartment. U paying for this poor service. Then the only thing Ashley homestore said when I called about it if u would have called before they left we would have gave u a $250 gift card and that’s a third party we can’t control what they do. I just don’t understand it was called in that day. I wish it would let me post the pictures of the trash and the dent in the front of the headboard. This is also my second time buying a headboard from them, and both times something was wrong.

Good quality furniture but there delivery process is awful i ordered 2 different pieces of furniture which was supposed to take 3 weeks for delivery which i had already found to be excessively long! I never got it till over a month and i had guess coming to visit which is why i made the order way ahead a time all i got was the run a round and the agent i worked with offered no form of compensation! Only sorry excuses.

I went to find a bedroom set during the fourth of July and had an excellent salesman Brandon. He was very knowledgeable with the questions that my husband asked. He could explain the different mattresses and which would work with an adjustable lift. He took the time to write a quote because we had to leave and pick up my car at the repair shop before they closed. Today my husband and I returned ready to buy. I had my mine made up but once again my husband had questions. I asked for Brandon and he was there once again and very patient with my husband going back and forth. We made a decision and purchased the cherry wood set my husband wanted. Thanks Brandon.

I went to Ashley with a little trepidation after being bombarded by an over zealous sales rep at the one in Reno. BUT to my surprise we walked in and actually got to look around a little bit before Brandon waved hello. He was super chill, told me where to find the items we wanted to look at and then left us alone. We ended up with a bed, couch, and a dresser. Delivery is set for this Thursday and after reading the reviews on that part...I'm a little nervous but I will let you know!

I've never had a bad experience with anything I've purchased from Ashley. My husband and I are closing on our new home in a month and had so much furniture to buy. It has been stressful because it's hard to find every piece we need for every room. Today was anything but stressful. Our salesperson Melanie was very patient and knowledgeable. She made the process easier and made suggestions to help us make our decision. We ended up getting a king bed, dresser, 2 Nightstands, a mattress, Boxspring, sofa, 2 chairs and the protection plan. This has been our best furniture shopping experience. 😁 A+++++
Salesperson was great. The delivery was a nightmare. I had just went through 2 apt floorings and needed furniture. I had to wait over a month to get the stuff and then they delivered the couch, chair, ottoman and coffee table set in 3 different delivery times far apart and the ottoman and couch were supposed to be the same color, they aren’t and they won’t let me exchange or return it and the wood shows through on the furniture and if you sit wrong you will hurt yourself on the wood.
The ABSOLUTE WORST. We waited over a month for our furniture then got a call two days before saying half our shipment has been delayed. Well the first half arrived and part of it was damaged so we had to get it replaced with the second half of the shipment that wasn’t arriving for yet another month. We then call to confirm our second shipment and they have delayed half of our shipment YET AGAIN for another month because of a “manufacturer delay”. If I could give this company negative stars I would. Their customer service representatives say completely different things when you speak them. One woman told me they couldn’t set up a delivery date because it says the items might be available on a certain date, so until they get into the store they can’t set a delivery date.... ok, well why did they set a delivery date the two times before that if the items had to be in the store? Did they give our items away to someone else?... I’m a bit confused. If you want to run a good business have your employees all on the same page because then I talked to the supervisor and within one minute set up all my items to be delivered on the same day once again.... which is yet another month away. Need I say much more except you can bet your bottom dollar we will NEVER go to Ashley again.
The salesperson was fine, the products are decent, we got a good sale, BUT the delivery was a nightmare. They arrived with only half our order and they weren't sure what happened. We had to wait another 10 days for delivery of the other item (table,) which came missing pieces. They installed the legs on the table incorrectly so we had to fix it. We are still waiting on pieces for the table they are supposed to be mailing us. This won't be for another 3 weeks and it's already been 3 weeks. They might be less expensive than Home2Go but they are a headache to deal with so I wouldn't waste your time.

I am giving a 2 because we had an awesome salesman. But delivery is a nightmare...we were told that the bed would be delivered on the 7th and couch on the 25th. No one confirmed dates so my daughter called and was told she could not get bed until 20th and couch on the 8th of next month. We paid in full in cash... This is her first apartment and at a new job and she is sleeping on floor for almost a month...very disappointed.
Had a wonderful experience picking out a new mattress with my fiance. We're both introverts and were really dreading being bombarded with sales people in our faces trying to push us in a certain direction. But we had the BEST experience with Denise helping us. VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!! It took a month for our patio furniture to be delivered, and when it was delivered the back cushions to our swivel chairs were not delivered...it’s now two weeks later and we still have NO CUSHIONS!! And no one seems to be able to tell us where they are or even how to get them!!!
The mattress we purchased had an odor that would not go away, even after airing for weeks. We were unable to use the mattress because of the smell. We were asked to give it two weeks but that did not help. Then we were told that they do not sell mattresses that smell. They insisted on replacing it with the same mattress. Same odor. No refund Only store credit for another mattress. We have to buy another mattress from this place. It has been 5 weeks. All this time we were unable to use our bedroom because of a smelly mattress. They will certainly be losing a lot of business from us as well as family and friends and whoever else reads reviews online.

The sales of the store lied to me that the mattress could be returned while actually not. Some of them can say anything to you and just want you to buy. My salesman even hided the items on the agreement before I swiped my credit card. Unfortunately I didn't pay much attention to it at that time.
We have made two furniture purchases from this location. Both experiences were enjoyable. Most recently, we worked with Trevor. He was very accommodating, took time to explain details on everything, and got us great deals. With that being said, kudos to the sales manager as well.
TREVOR SEROPIAN is your guy. Went in to check out a bed frame that we saw on line. Trevor was very helpful, not pushy, figured out how to match the price on line, totally easy to work with. We called back to confirm - he had left the store, but connected us to Leah and she took care of us. Nice people, easy to be around, normal folk.

If you are looking for a new furniture set , Go No Further. At Ashley Furniture Store. They have sales people like Kim that will help you through the process. With 4 kids and 11 grandkids, Papa and I needed a sofa that suited everyone. We needed something that we could relax in with infants and children on the run. We needed something that would stand up to peanut butter fingers, family coloring time, reading time and popcorn movie nights. We got everything we needed and wanted at a great price. Our sales associate Kim was wonderful to work with and also gave us room to talk, sit , feel fabric without pressure. Great experience! We worked with Vanessa, she was absolutely amazing! Went there to price a matching recliner, didn’t have it in store but figured we would look around anyway at others. Vanessa was patient, funny, and way beyond helpful. I’m not easy to deal with, and was polite and friendly and asked the right questions without being pushy. Never tried to sell me anything I didn’t want or need. Would 110% recommend if you are in the market for furniture, go see Vanessa. If she switched locations, I’d go to the other location. She has a customer for life!
Really ridiculous delivery process: there’s an automated message 2 days beforehand—in the evening—to give you the delivery window. If you try to call and change it right away, they’re already closed. If you call the next day, they say “it’s the day before, it’s too late” and try to slap you with an $80 fee. Obviously, this is designed intentionally to give you no time to change delivery.
