Only because you can't give a zero. There were 2 people sitting at the entrance when we arrived. One playing on his phone who never looked up and the other who said "just look around" when we said we wanted to look at dining room suits. Once we started looking he got up and walked by like he was watching to make sure we didn't steal anything. Never said another word.

We moved from out of state a little over a year ago, and basically furnished our entire new house with Ashley furniture. We had an amazing experience with everyone we worked with during our first visit. We came back to purchase an additional item a year later and Keith was beyond helpful. They no longer had the item in their store but they had one at a clearance location. He went above and beyond to call and confirm and offer us assistance with picking it up. Thank you!!!

This is the second time my husband and I made a purchase from Ashley but the first time we purchased from this location. We had a great experience the first time, but the second time far exceeded our expectations! Stephanie Burke took such great care of us. She was very friendly and helpful. I saw a dresser set online but it wasn't available anymore because it was discontinued, however, she showed me two similar sets. She let me take my time at looking at them and allowed me to ask any questions I needed to. She was also assisting other customers and made sure to check on us every now and again. I ended up making a purchase that same night with her and the process was smooth and easy. I would definitely recommend this location and for everyone to seek her out with their purchase!

I purchased a sofa and chair 14 months ago. I was sold on the diamond care warranty that It would cover anything. My couch ripped at the seam about 2 inches. I thought a claim and I was denied by diamond care. I went back to the furniture store and acted like I was buying new furniture and again they sold me the warranty stating it will cover all rips, tears, including seams. I talked to the manager. He tried to help me as much as he could. Ashley‘s furniture did not help him as well. They did replace the fabric but I was gonna have to get a technician and pay the technician to replace the fabric . That is very poor customer service. I have been a repeat customer for more than 15 years. I will never go back there and I suggest no one ever buy product from them .

EDITED> When we came in to look at furniture, they promised we can get 25% off anything in store not already discounted. And at the end they said if we donated for st.Jude, we get additional 5% off. We noticed we got home on paperwork, they only gave us 20% off, and not 30%. Thats over $1600 they swindled from us! Keith Henderson was Fabulous salesman. He knew a lot about the different styles of couches and loveseats. He was very helpful and picked out furniture for our New home.

Keith did fantastic, you did us wrong. They said we had 30% off our purchases after reading receipt we found out that it was on 20% charging us more. That is $1600 more stay away!

They delivered my product on time even earlier than originally expected. It took me some time to find the instructions, but I finally found them. The item I purchased was more difficult to put together than specified in the directions. It is nice and heavy duty and seems to be built to last when I finally finish putting it together.

I am not happy with my sofa. Called the store and they told me that I couldn’t return it. It makes a Squeaking noise every time I sit down on it.

If you need furniture DO NOT go to Ashley Furniture- They will not cover anything with their warranty, even when purchase they said they would cover everything! After a week going back and forth with every person telling you something different.

I have been wanting to get a new couch. I looked on the web for the best furniture store & Ashley was one of the top stores to buy furniture from. I called and spoke with a gentleman,his name was Eric. He was very informative, and from reading the web, that was one of the things to look for when buying furniture. Eric invited me to come in and look around so when I got to Ashley's, I asked for Eric. When I looked up reviews on Google, someone was saying how Eric was very good, so that was also why I asked for him. When I finally went to the Ashley Furniture store in Gastonia, NC. I walked in and was in awe! This store was amazing. I wanted everything. The store was huge. The furniture was beautiful. Every piece was nicely decorated and inviting! Eric showed me some couches in my price range. He said for me to look around, and he'd keep an eye on me in case I needed him. He didn't pressure me in any way. I decided on an alloy sectional & a table with 4 chairs & bench. Eric wanted to make sure both items would fit in my apartment, so he gave me his tape measure and wrote the deminsions for both. I feel other furniture stores would just tell me they'll fit to get a sale. Eric wanted to make sure before I signed the papers that what I wanted would fit. After I got back to Ashley Furniture, I wasn't sure, so for now, I am getting the sectional. Eric told me about the Diamond Care Plus, and if anything went wrong with my purchase w/in 5 years, they would replace the purchase. I usually don't get warranties, but the Diamond Care Plus was a no-brainer! Eric explained everything to me, so I signed the paperwork. I'm excited to get my new sectional. I was very pleased with the service I got at Ashley Furniture and Eric's help. If you are looking for a place to buy furniture, stop in at Ashley Furniture. You'll be happy you did. Told me I could pick up my bed frame the same weekend as it was purchased. After taking my money they informed me that it would actually take two weeks before I would be able to pick it up. Currently figuring out how to get my money back, but their refund procedure is purposefully obtuse and outdated. Incompetent employees and company.

VERY Disappointed, they flat out refused to price match a competitor - for an ASHLEY PRODUCT ! Update to my Review - Just last month I bought 4 pieces from this store. They happily price-matched at that time. Now I'm being told they don't price match against discount furniture warehouses. Even after they had already done this for me - Shady at best. Insult to injury: piece I'm trying to buy is DISCONTINUED (but in inventory) and Manager claims he will not price match because it's below his cost. Question - if it's below your cost, how are the discount dealers selling it cheaper, including Amazon ? NOTE: Manager said he's going to have my review removed. Be sure to check YELP.

Very poor customer service they promise a delivery date and then do not honor it. I have had several purchases from them and it is the same every time. I will not buy anything else from them. They lie when they say they have it in stock. Stay away from them.
Went in the store looking for a sofa we had seen on line, after walking around the store by ourselves a few minutes couldn't find what we were looking for and then met up with salesperson named Keith and he took us to the sofa.After sitting on it and checking it out we new this is what we wanted.Since we found it on line Keith gave us the online price and just had to pay for delivery which wasn't to bad of a price with setup and taking all boxing back with them after delivery.Overall good experience.

I'm not happy with my experience at all . The store ups the sticker price high then negotiates down to actual price . I was over charge on a mattress but 300 dollars and a lift top coffee table bt 25 dollars. A 999.99 5 year warranty plan added on I don't want and going to cancel .

Diane was some help in store where I purchased a table. Thou she had no computer experience and needed help from assistant. As a customer ,salesperson did not listen carefully. I gave corrected address in store during purchase. And still on call from delivery it was still wrong in address. Had to call store for the 4th time to correct. And Diane canceled my delivery thou my request was 19th from 9 to ......so that I could not be at my home at 8:00 am. Received another delivery call on the 19th was canceled by salesperson. And was scheduled for 23rd. That I did not request. Had to call warehouse to get my delivery address corrected for the fourth time and due to the 19th was canceled on a day I took off work now was moved to the 27. I have now been without a table for 3 weeks. I recommend Diane get more traing and listen and double check if in computer before finalizing. This has been a very bad customer service with this lady. Thou the warehouse was very great full to make sure the address and changed the date for delivery cause salesperson canceled my only work day off to get it done. What a wasted day. Thanks Diane will not be referred by me.

I went in to this store in December after searching multiple stores online including Wayfair, Value City, Rooms to Go, Babcock, and Big Lots that carries a large selection of ASHLEY furniture. I was so pleased to meet Mr Zack Whisnant my Sales person and one of the Managers who was so patient working with me helping me check the ASHLEY site . I had my choices narrowed down to two different options as I needed something durable, functional yet great looking. He gave me an amazing deal on top of the already low Sale price including delivery and my sofa will be here in 3 days! I am so excited as I did my homework and checked Customer reviews on my Beautiful new " coffee" faux Suede sofa. The delivery team has already sent me a confirmation text to verify my address and will contact me to let me know what time window they will be here. They will assemble my sofa at no extra charge. My entire experience with ASHLEY has been above and beyond including the professional staff who answered the phone and all my questions. This showroom is beautiful bright and clean and well laid out making it easy to navigate. The store was great but the loveseat I bought needs repairs. One side lower than the other and the other side is separated from the console. Had to wait till January to see if it can even be fixed. It should be replaced. Buy something brand new and it needs repairs right off the bat.
I have gone to several Ashley Furniture stores and other furniture stores. Some had nice help, some not so nice, even Ashley in Pineville, NC. When I met Eric Ricono at Ashley Furniture Gastonia, NC, who went above and beyond being very nice and helpful. If you decide to go to Ashley Furniture in Gastonia, NC. I would suggest you ask for him. I would give him 10 stars if I could.

We picked out the Bovarian sectional because it is the perfect color and soft yet durable fabric. Stephanie Burke helped me and my fiancé pick out the perfect sectional. She was so helpful answering our questions without being too pushy.

Sales associates were very helpful and spent quite a bit of time with me figuring out exactly what I needed and getting me set up with a delivery. I have no real issues with either of the associates I worked with. They were both helpful and polite. The only thing that was an issue was that I specifically checked with them to make sure they would haul away old furniture that was being replaced. They assured me that was a part of delivery. The delivery showed up promptly on time but I was informed by the delivery personnel that would have been an extra charge that was not included in my order. I spoke to customer service on the phone and was informed there was nothing they could do so now I'm stuck with old furniture and I'm not thrilled. I doubt I'll use Ashley again. I am disabled and not able to carry heavy furniture down the stairs nor do I have a truck to haul it in so I will have to pay someone else to do it. Disappointing

Purchased a couch here in October 2022. The gentlemen assisting me started to run my credit for the store card before asking how I had planned to pay for the couch, as I was planning to pay cash. They insisted that it would be better for me to get their card, and assured me that I wouldn’t have any interest the first 12 months. By this time I was just ready to leave, as my husband and I had been there for a while considering several different couches, so I did as they suggested. Upon leaving the store, I found the exact couch on the Ashley website for $200 less than they were charging in store. It took me several phone calls to the manager to have the price matched. One year later, the “no interest for 12 months” was actually deferred interest. Very shady business practices in this place, I would use extreme caution purchasing anything in this store, and for SURE check the website’s pricing.

I visited this store with my daughter in late afternoon on Black Friday. We are in the market for a dining table and chairs because our 14 year old table nearly collapsed on me that morning. We walked around the store for 20 minutes and were not once even greeted, much less assisted. We saw employees sitting on couches talking with other people, maybe other customers. I totally understand needing to stay with your current customers but surely someone could’ve at least checked in with us, said hello, explained that someone would be able to help us or answer questions soon…

Am extremely frustrated and upset to the point that we will never step foot in a Ashley store again. Back in May of 2023 we purchased a floor model in perfect condition. We still purchased the diamond plan just in case as we wanted to be covered if it started to have issues. William Millikan sold us the pieces and said the warranty plan would cover everything even if it was a floor model. $350 for the plan. In less than 4 months all of our pieces started to fall apart. I called diamond care and was told they would not cover anything. That the peeling and cracking of our furniture was not covered under the plan. Called and spoke with service for Ashley since it was under a year figured we could manufacture warranty it. Nope. Again because it’s a floor model they won’t cover anything. Instead what they offered us was 10% of our purchase in a store credit. That is a bandaid for our $2500 purchase. The $250 wouldn’t even cover a rug through Ashley. Manager won’t even refund my $350 for the plan but willing to offer 10% of the purchase. All I wanted was it made right. $250 isn’t making it right. Steer clear from Ashley and go elsewhere.

Ask for Zack, he makes it easy. That guy is a walking easy button. Find what you like and he will have it delivered. Was able to do everything through docusign, and over the phone. You can also go to the store. One tip, measure the space before you go shopping. Would have saved some time.

Update: So after 2 1/2 weeks with no bed they delivered the wrong one and now the system is down so far 4 days and we were supposed to have platform bed and it has the medal frame and we can’t use it, so we are on the floor again. I understand it’s not the the people’s fault but I’m exhausted from not sleeping and we haven’t received all our furniture which is absolutely ridiculous, it’s been 2 1/2 weeks and was told it would be October 11th. The salesmen have been wonderful and helpful Zack and James, but Ashely’s furniture needs to figure out how to make sure their customers receive their orders in a timely manner. WE JUST WANT OUR STUFF, WE ARE EXHAUSTED!! This is no reflection on Zack and James they did their job, now it’s time for Ashely Furniture Home Office to do their job! The salesman James at the Gastonia Location helped us so much, he help keep things in our budget, he worked really hard to make sure we left satisfied. He was very nice, patient, and understanding! If you go to Gastonia Location ask for him, he is FANTASTIC!!!!

Ebony greeted us when we walked in and let us take the time to explain what we were looking for, our financial situation, and never made us feel like we were being pushed into a purchase. She let us browse and checked in on us periodically and answered all of our questions! Several weeks later I decided to go in a different direction and texted Stephanie. She remembered me and my preferences. Stephanie made a few suggestions and before I knew it, I had exactly what I wanted. Stephanie is now my go to person for home furnishings and decor. And Ashley Home store is huge and carries a great variety of home furnishings.

My rights as a consumer was violated. While the manager at the Gastonia location insisted that he was fully transparent in his actions is totally a lie. While stating he could match another store price for a very expensive bedroom set North Shore by Ashley he ran my credit, set up an account and when the purchase was not made at his store without a delivery date I was charged a cancellation fee in the amount of $757.99.

This is the shadiest company I have ever worked with. Every time you go in its like you are buying a car and they make up prices. the website is always less expensive and if you get a credit card with the company, you can only use it in story so you have to pay more then online! The manager is a total jerk and tries to talk his way out of any situation. DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE

Bought a couch and table had a good experience in the store then the delivery came. One peice is damaged and not up to our standereds as far as how the peice itself is made. It is pretty much partical board and staples as the rest of the couch is mostly metal. All other peices seem to be much sturdier so we contact costomer service and they said it would be able to return it. But then the delivery said it has to be exchanged. But we literally just paid several thousand dollars for a brand new couch and you sent us a broken peice that is very poorly made and now your trying to tell me we cannot return it. Per your policy that we didnt recieve till after the delivery came and we discovered the damage. Because your printer was out of paper. Wow what a red flag. Should have went with my gut. Well I wont be making that mistake again.

Bought furniture reclining sofa and chair 6 months ago and the electric components for chair broke. Took 6 weeks them to send out wrong parts. Then refused to take the parts told us to dispose of them. Customer service was rude when my husband told them they need to send new chair because he was not happy with the chair breaking.

She wasn’t pushy at all and let us browse on our own and really strove to be available without being overbearing and smothering is. She had great suggestions and was extremely knowledgeable about the store inventory and online options as well. We were dreading this visit, to be honest, but it ended up being painless, professional, time sensitive abs really r really pleasant. My husband was just as pleased with the service Anna provided also. In short, just a great experience with a great salesperson. Anna is a wonderful addition to your staff and a credit to your organization. 10/10. Will definitely be back if more needs arise.

We walked in knowing the sales people would be pushy, so we were prepared for that. We were kindly welcomed into the store by Manny, we really liked him and his help. After we found a couch, the “store manager” swooped in… this is where the rating DROPS. Wish we could remember his name so we could be more specific. Long story short, he was condescending, rude, and ultimately lost our sale. We feel bad for Manny, who I am sure would have handled our sale with kindness.

In fact put on your walking shoes because he will take you around the store looking at every option you have for what you’re looking for, to make sure you are getting everything you need and want. I would give zero star but google doesn't have that option. We bought a reclining section with their diamond care plus plan, it was a featured show room item. Less then six months after buy the section stopped reclining, we contacted ashley furniture and they told use that the couch was discontinued. And the expensive diamond care plan that was supposed to cover all damages couldn't cover anything because the couch was discontinued. We were given an endless run around, we had spent nearly 6 grand on a couch only to have it become a useless piece of junk in only six months. So if your looking for furniture you should NOT go to ashley.

We had a great experience at Ashley’s furniture in Gastonia. Manny helped us and was friendly and very knowledgeable on what mattresses they had. Helped us find our right fit.
After looking around for a while the sales manager Anna approached us and asked if we saw anything that we liked. We explained what we were looking for and she took us to the display of that type of living room suit that was the style we wanted. After inquiring about a different color she advised us that there was a set of that color in the warehouse. She then figured the cost with discounts which was reasonable for us. Our purchase was completed in less than 20 minutes.

Buyer beware!!! Once you sign the delivery receipt, there's no going back. Good luck with that warranty too. Apparently they don't have enough repair workers to handle the load. Our sleep sofa was delivered broken but supposedly fixed before we signed the receipt. It broke again 2 days later. We can't return it. The repair has been put off 2 weeks, making it 6 weeks with a broken couch. Their process does not allow reps from any department to transfer you to a supervisor, either. So frustrating! $1600 sofa... terrible company.

Today, I entered Ashley’s furniture along with a group of friends in hopes of helping one of them find a night stand for his room. We were approached and greeted by two female employees who spoke to us in a very nasty tone. “Can I help you?” To which my friend responded with-“no we are just looking around,” the employees then told us “if you want to look around, you have to be actively buying something, we do not want you in our store fooling around.” How does your store make revenue? Is every customer obligated to buy something before looking in the store? I always thought that you have to look at what you like before buying, do better Ashley furniture! This is utterly ridiculous.

I purchased a bed from them a couple of years ago and I had a good customer service experience but the quality of the furniture has not been so great. I purchased a bed and within the first year, I had issues with the panel. Ashley's sent someone to repair it (patchwork). Since that time I've had to consistently adjust the hardware and after two years it won't hold the screw at all. I would assume a bed would last longer. Ashley stated there is nothing they can do to help me and gave me a disconnected number to hire my own service person. NEVER SHOPPING WITH THEM AGAIN!
Delivery was over a month ago and still have not received the night stand drawer or damaged dresser mirror. No follow up from anyone at the store. Seems all they care about is a sale and nothing else. Very disappointing THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE EVER!!! STILL NO REPAIRS DONE, NO CALL BACK FROM SANDRA OR MITCH WHO SWORE THAT WE WOULD NOT DEAL WITH THESE ISSUES AND WE WILL NEVER EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE AGAIN. HORRIBLE I would give a negative 20 stars if I could

Kinda late but google keeps reminding me that I was here, So I've been all over and could not seem to find any furniture in the area for months always overlooking this Ashley's because is so big expecting it to be super expensive...man was I wrong🤦🏿♂️😂. I go in only to be greeted with the most open armed entry I felt like I've been in here before. First impression not at all cluttered with stuff like the other stores so I was able to use my stroller to bring my son in with me. Then I met William I think his name is, who led me in the right direction I was here for 20 minutes before I found the perfect things for my home. Now a new living room set and bed later I'd suggest anyone in the area to shop here you'll have a great experience nobody trying to pressure you into purchasing really just showing you the good stuff for your budget.

Hello everyone, Today I did my black Friday shopping at Ashley's Furniture with the Beautiful Consultant Ebony Lee. I'm telling you, all my Wife and I had to do was select the pieces we liked and Ebony did the rest. She was so helpful with answering all the questions from financing, layaway, delivery, as well as Diamond Care Protection. I just made myself comfortable in a recliner and it was a wrap! My wife and I were looking for a new dining room set and sectional sofa for our new home. Stephanie Burke greeted us upon entry and asked if she could help. We did have a specific dining set we wanted to see and she brought us right to it. She showed us a few other similar sets and we ended up liking another one more. She also assisted with moving some chairs around to ensure we found the ones that best fit our taste. She also showed us a few sectionals and we were very fond of one in particular. She worked with us to get the right configuration for our room so we purchased that as well. I was a first time customer and was searching for a new living room set. I told the employe that I was wanting to pay cash but I wanted to wait for about 2 more weeks once I got moved into my new place I was ready to buy. He got his manager to see what kind of deal he could give me for paying cash and the manager was rude and was pushing for me to buy that day on the spot. I told him I rather wait until I’m ready to get the furniture moved in and he got an attitude and walked off. I wished I remembered his name but I will never be back.

This store has wonderful customer service and very friendly associates. My wife and I just bought a new house far away from the area and Manny was able to work out all of the logistics for us to make buying a living room/bedroom set as hassle free to us as possible. Me and her could not recommend this store location and Manny enough. As an added benefit, the management was directly involved too and helped assist us with our transaction to get the absolute best price possible, so shout out to Ryan and Mitch for that too. The staff at this location was very professional. The staff listen intently, and was eager to thoroughly answer any questions I had prior to my purchase. I had found my item of purchase on the Ashley website for 300 dollars less than that of the in store sales price. The GM honored that and matched it by selling my item at the discounted price shown online. The staff made the process laid back and efficient upon making the purchase. I am certain to shop here again and recommend this location. Yes, it can get a little expensive but you get what you pay for; that being long lasting, durable, quality furniture.
Associates are alright! But Suggest you pick up and deliver your own furniture, their 3rd party will Carelessly charge you for a delivery that will never happen. Spent Over $6,700 worth of furniture, canceled because of miscommunication day of delivery, charged over $1000 for canceling my ashley furniture order and charged with delivery fee that was never met. America continues to rob people and other countries right and left. Ashley corporate won't even provide Their customers the 3rd party delivery service information yet THEY WILL SEND THEM TO YOUR HOME WITH A BIG DAMAGED PURCHASE!!!

Went a couple years ago and bought tables and bedroom furniture from bryton. He was awesome. We needed another couch so we went last week and worked with Anna, I believe she said she was the sales manager. When asking her about the total price of the couch with taxes out the door, I then asked her if they priced matched. (I had done research and found the couch for 600$ cheaper and it was actually local.) she told me that YES, they do price match… I showed her the website and the couch with the lower price and asked if she could honor that. After looking at it she told me no that they cannot price match with Laughlin’s furniture because they wouldn’t have that couch for another 4 months. We told her okay and left. I called Laughlin’s furniture and they had it in their showroom so we purchased from them and now have it in our living room 3 days later!! Hate we couldn’t give our business to Ashley’s again after a great experience with our sales man a few years ago. Anna seemed very standoffish, barely any eye contact and very short with us. Explore other options before buying from Ashley’s! Same couch for $600 cheaper!!!!!

I have shopped at Ashley’s since graduating college in 2013. Specifically at this Gastonia location. I know I was told that I was paying extra for delivery and setup. I specifically asked because I was originally going to order online but I had a coupon received in the mail which even after the discount was applied and additional delivery fees added, the price was actually more than what I was going to pay ordering from the app, but I was okay with that since the sales rep said they would be putting it together because ordering on the app, I knew I would have to put it together. Additionally, when talking to customer service the man compared the furniture I got to IKEA furniture, which I thought hell I didn’t pay IKEA prices! I’m very unsatisfied and disappointed especially because I can’t even move some of these boxes that were delivered because they are so heavy. If Ashley’s is no longer catering to the customer as well as selling me IKEA furniture at an Ashley’s price, I will never shop here again. That’s a promise.

In the past we generally haven't visited any of the Ashley stores but that has changed after our experience with Anna at the Gastonia store at 3932 E. Franklin Blvd.. Anna was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient with us. I can’t recommend the Ashley store in Gastonia and Anna enough. They will always be our first choice when buying furniture. You will not be disappointed if you give them a chance.
After moving to the area and needing to update some furniture, I had the pleasure of working with Ryan to pick out a new bed frame and mattress. Ryan guided us through the proper mattress selection and gave us valuable knowledge about the products. He was a blast to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone else!

Bought 3 piece living room set. We liked the style but the color we got was darker than what was in the store, it was also darker than the set on their website. When we talked to the salesman, he said this was the "new" brown for that set. He said they would "make it right" by offering us gifts or something. Once he talked to his boss, he would let us know. Never heard back. Glad we like the style but no more business from us.

My family went in to look at living room furniture. We are at the beginning of researching. Upon arrival, we were greeted & the sales associate did the typical pitch and such. We have been through this before, so we told her that we'd prefer to just look alone, if that was OK. We sat on a few sofas & somehow I got to the mattresses. I'm almost to the point of needing a new one, so I sat on a couple to test. We were approached by a guy that said he was the general manager. He started the sales pitch! HARD! I tried to make it apparent that I did not want to be engaged, I just wanted to read about the mattresses. Since I could not shop with all of his questions, I walked away with a nod & a "Thank you, sir". He responded with "What did you say!!". "Thank you, sir". "Thank you WHAT!" "Sir...?" My son & I moved on, & he attacked my husband. Tons of questions. Tons! Husband finally said that he was done here & was leaving. "Leaving the store!?" "Yes, we're done. We're leaving. I don't mean any disrespect, but we're done here." He has the wonderful comment of "You ARE being disrespectful. YOU'RE DISRESPECTING ME BY WALKING AWAY WHILE I'M TALKING TO YOU!" He follows us to the door while making similar comments about us disrespecting him by exiting the store when we feel harassed. He got up in my husband's face and I had to step in between them. If I wanted to buy something from this store..I certainly would not now. Is this how customers are treated? Are they forced to buy their products? Just because he runs his mouth doesn't mean I have to stand there and listen to it.

Spent over 2k on a living room set and reported the recliners kept getting stuck and they gave me a number to call, they shipped a bunch of different boxes and said a technician would be in contact. 3 months later still the same problem and no one answers. The actual store does nothing and the customer service is terrible, Bought the protection plan for nothing since I can’t get anything resolved.
Just purchased a couple chairs from Ryan in the Gastonia store. He was very knowledgeable and I will definitely call upon him when I’m in need of more furniture. I would definitely recommend Ashley for anyone needing new furniture.

I was in a predicament that which entailed trying to have furniture secured and delivered prior to my nieces first birthday. If I could give zero stars, I would. When we bought our new sofa, we were given several different dates for delivery. It took months, not weeks. And when we bought the protection plan for it , we were lied to. We were told in-store that it covers pet damage but it does not. We were told in-store that if the seams didn’t hold, it would be covered but it does not. You have to let them know within 30 days of discovering damage, but for the past 60 days, we’ve been given the run around. Everything about this company is BS. DO NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY!!! THEY WILL CHEAT YOU!!!

Don't buy anything from this company. They are basically running a scam. Taking money and not delivering the furniture you paid for. Spent over $3k on a dining room set that was supposed to be delivered within a few weeks. Going on 7 months and nothing. When I requested to cancel they want to charge me a penalty even though they cannot deliver. I completely believe have no intention of fulfilling my order at this point.

My family just moved into a new home. I went into Ashley looking for a living room set that could withstand a 5 year old and twin 2 year olds. Mr. Godwin Nsianya assisted me throughout the entire process. He made recommendations based on the qualities that I stated that I was looking for in terms of the space available for the furniture, colors, comfort, and the children. He was knowledgeable about what was in the store that would suit my needs. Typically, I get quite anxious when it comes to big purchases, especially with having to bring the kids along. Mr. Godwin was incredibly kind, patient and helpful throughout the entire process. This may have been the first time I've left from purchasing furniture feeling completely at ease and 100% satisfied with my purchase. After waiting 3.5 weeks for a couch to be delivered, I learned that there was a delay. I completely understand delays, however when they were unable to give me a new estimated delivery date I asked to cancel the order. The manager spoke over me, and told me that I had to pay a 10% cancellation fee. So I cancelled anyway mainly due to her attitude but also because I can’t wait in limbo for furniture with no estimation of delivery. It cost me $56 dollars and it cost them a customer.
We have been buying furniture from Ashley's for years. Anna Thackrah and Zack are always so helpful. They have consistently gotten us the best deals they could and have always been so fun to work with. We love Anna's "make it happen" spirit and kind personality. We will definitely be back.... again! :)
My first time in a Ashley store and I was really surprised. I was greeted when I walked in and was told if I need any help just to ask. No pushy salesman! I was allowed to walk all over the store and look(what I went in there for)!! When I did have questions, Godwin was first class! He was most helpful and seemed to really care! I’m thankful for this great experience and I will be back!

I found an amazing living room set that was so fantastic I decided to update our dining room to coordinate as well! The more you buy, the more you saved so we ended up getting huge discounts and saving even more when we financed for 12 months with no interest! Our salesman, William, was incredibly helpful also, without being pushy! I will be returning to furnish other rooms!
My husband and I became customers of Ashley Homestore in Pineville a couple of years ago. That’s where we met “K”. He was always knowledgeable and friendly but never pushy. He has since moved to Gastonia where he will become our sales person. (I lost my husband 15 weeks ago and he not only reached out personally with a call but he and another great sales colleague of his, Rebee have checked on me regularly!). They are not just great sales people but great, caring people Love them both! ❤️ This isn’t something you can train into people, it’s just a quality individual who will go above and beyond!

I have always shopped at Ashley’s Furniture over the years. But not anymore. About 2 months before Thanksgiving I visited Ashley’s in Gastonia for a dining room table, only, not including the chairs. They gave me an estimated delivery date and I checked back up to the week before. Still no delivery date. So, I went in today and spoke with the General Manager Matt. I asked if I could just buy a table off the floor and was told NO, Absolutely Not. They have at minimum, 20 tables in the store and could not sell me even 1 table! I’m not picky, I said, I would take whatever they had because relatives are coming from MD for the holiday. Still he refused. The table I selected sat at the back of the store for $500 which tells me it’s probably discontinuing. We were also sent to the south blvd Charlotte location and told the have tables there at the store but that turned out to be a lie. I bought my bedroom furniture from them, nice cherrywood marble top dresser, mirror and poster bed. That was years ago and they still sell that set. Cost me over 2,000. Never again will I ever come to this store. My daughters bedroom set also came from them. We have about 10 stores in this area and not one of them are willing to sell me a table for thanksgiving. It used to be that people were willing to help loyal customers out but not at this location. I’m canceling the contract with Ashley’s immediately, because I won’t need it after Thanksgiving. My relatives only visit for this holiday. So, I went back in the store to speak with the General Manager Matt again to cancel the contract. You know what he said, “it’s gonna be tough to find another table a week before Thanksgiving!” Unbelievable. I told him to cancel it! So he responds, “you know what I’m going to do. I’ll even wave the 10% Cancellation Fee”, waiting for a thank you from me. Don’t hold your breath! Although, I would pay it not to deal with them ever again. Very, very poor customer service!
I got an offer and they didn't honor it and didn't offer me a solution or compensation either. Too bad for your reputation, I wouldn't buy from you ever.
If I could give zero stars, I certainly would’ve! Buy your furniture elsewhere!!!! I purchased furniture from Ashley’s MONTHS ago, and when it was finally delivered, I was not happy with it ( it looked better in the store) and the sofas that I received look very cheap. The terrible part is that Apparently they do not honor their 30 day return policy and will not allow me to return furniture that I paid money for in their store. I’ve elevated to corporate and no one is willing to make an exception and allow me to return this furniture. I know that they will be able to resell it easily however they are unwilling. I will never spend another dime on Ashley’s and will make sure that my family and friends won’t either.

The customer service is bad. I personally went in the store to check on the status of my furniture and first of all they couldn’t find all of my purchases. I had three separate purchases in a day and the store manager (Matt) couldn’t find it all. He said my sales lady Ana was off and he would have her call me the next day to figure scything out. She never called. I tried to call her but she didn’t answer. I never found out what happened to the third mattress I purchased because no one cared enough to call me. Then when I called again and told the manager Zack that I had been tried like ——he said I’m gonna stop you right there. First how does he know how I’ve been treated. Never got all my receipts for my purchases and when I cancelled the order I was charged 10% fee. Please stay away

I’ve been a loyal Ashley’s furniture customer in Gastonia for a long time and spent nearly 40K in furniture over the past 6 years. I will NEVER purchase another set of furniture from them EVER again and will also NEVER recommend them to anyone. I purchased about 13K in furniture from them only to have 6 of the 8 pieces show up damaged. I thought, no problem, called customer service and they scheduled to have them switched out. The day of the switch out, the drivers were EXTREMELY rude to my wife stating that the pieces should have already been disassembled (which was never stated to me). What makes this even more ridiculous is that the none of the pieces were mechanically fastened anyway. The also stated they would have to leave the broken furniture here because they did not have room on their truck (which is UNACCEPTABLE!). I don’t have room for 6 additional pieces of furniture in my living room. I called customer care while the drivers were here and they spoke with them. They then stated that the drivers would be back in a few hours to pick the broken items up and asked if I would allow them to store the broken furniture here until then and I said, “Ok”. This was a HUGE mistake on my part because they never came back! I called the store and spoke with a manager who stated they would have someone out the next day which never happened. In fact, I received a text message saying it was going to be another 3 days until someone could come out to pick the broken furniture up that they should have gotten the first time. I have 30 people coming to my house tomorrow for my son’s 1st birthday and you can’t move in my living room because of all the extra furniture that Ashley decided to store in my living room for 4 days. Thanks a lot Ashley and I can promise that you lost a valuable loyal customer over this stupidity. In addition, I be returning ALL of the 13K in furniture that I purchased out of pure principle that I don’t do business with a company that treats me this way. HORRIBLE business practices you have and Inwould give 0 stars if it would let me.
Lied about credit report
Buyer beware. Save yourself the headache... Purchased furniture from Gastonia location. My salesman Rodney made the sale and then has been out since. I was told all units I purchased was in the warehouse available and would be able to setup delivery within 2-3 weeks. Thursday after my purchase the delivery team calls to notify me that part of my order was ready to ship We set up delivery for Tuesday of the following week. Received an email and text confirm delivery time. Day of delivery delivery team still not there after their time window I call customer care to find out that they had moved it to a later time in the day. No one ever called or email to notify me of the change yet Ashley's charges a cancellation or rescheduling fee. Following week I called in to speak with the store manager Matt who is now my point of contact because my salesperson is out. He tells me he is working on getting an estimated delivery for the other units and promises to give me a call 2 days later. One week passes with no communication from Matt I have to call and track him down he then gives me the same response after numerous attempts to contact him he never returns your call still to date I have no estimated time of delivery after spending $17,000. .
Drove 40 miles for lift chair and they only had 2 on the floor.
I went to the store with my husband to purchase a king size storage bed and we didnt not like the models available in the store so ended up purchasing the item that showed as available online. Nick Doons from Mathews Ashley store helped placing the online order. He even said that store credit will be provided if we dont like the furniture. It was fair until here. But on the delivery day we didnt receive the headboard for the bed so the delivery guys just put the rest of the boxes in the center of bedroom and asked us to wait for the headboard to come. Headboard was delivered 2 weeks later and assembly was done by the team. Assembly was not done properly, center slats to support horizontal slats were not put and were left in the boxes. We didnt get chance to look at the size of headboard legs at the time of assembly, later realized it is very slim and didnt feel strong enough for a king size bed. We decided to exchange and was told on phone that return/exchange is not available after the product is placed at home. We didnt check the terms and conditions as the store assistant told store credit will be provided incase we dont like the product. Never heard such strange return policy for a furniture purchase. Worst customer service policy possible for furniture that too when bought online. Shouldn't have chosen Ashley store for purchasing at all. regretting the choice.

Godwin Nsianya was very polite and helpful in my shopping experience and I would have given more stars had the manager not told me to" sit there and look pretty". When making a large purchase I will ask questions and I will not "sit there and look pretty". Also on Sunday's they do not have people there to help you load your couches so be prepared to load them yourself.
I ordered a table set from this location on January 25, 2021. It is now almost 8 months later and there is zero delivery date in sight. I’ve called and asked about this several times and no one could give me an answer. I was even told I would be charged a huge fee for cancelling my order. I wouldn’t buy anything from this company; anytime in the near future, if you want to receive what you bought before it goes out of style

We walked in yesterday not really wanting to buy furniture but decided it was time. We first walked in and talked to Sara, she told us where everything was located since they remodeled. After we picked one out Sara got us set up with Kayla who was AMAZING!!!! Got us approved and even extended our first payment out a month!!!! My partner and I ordered furniture from this store on 06/23/21. We were set up for a delivery date of 07/13. We received an automated call saying the delivery drivers would be here within 10 minutes. 20 minutes later we saw a budget truck pull up from our balcony assuming it was the delivery men. They sat there for a few minutes then drove off. We called the automated line 3 different times trying to speak with someone. Finally got a call back about 40 minutes later and was told by the lady on the phone the drivers stated no one was home and took a photo of the door. No one never knocked on our door and I believe the drivers were being lazy and did not want to bring the furniture up to the 3rd floor. We have currently reached out to our sales person who is trying to put us in contact with a manager to handle this. This kind of service is ridiculous. They charge 179.00 delivery fee and then threaten you with an additional 79.00 fee if the drivers state you were not home. These drivers and Ashley are trying to scam hard working people and paying customers and someone from Ashleys upper management needs to reach out to us because this kind of service is unacceptable and I believe they should refund the delivery fee once the furniture is delivered because we should not have to deal with such ridiculous service. Get your act together Ashley and higher reputable workers!!!! Below I have posted a photo I took as proof of the delivery drivers being here and not knocking on the door.

I went to your store to see about getting a entertainment Center staff in Gastonia was no help,Walked around the store for 30 minutes No one asked me if I needed help with anything everybody’s busy doing sitting at a table I eventually asked an older guy for help he sent me some lady I told her what I want it and then she proceeds to go sit down to finish a break I guess this is bad business

My experience is not good. We've purchased from Ashley's several times and everytine something is delivered broken. Between 2 coached 2 recliners a dinning room suite and office desk, we had a damaged recliner. They did come a fix it and within a year it is broken again. We bought the additional insurance that they say will pay off a $500 store credit if not used within 5 years. I believe this to be a lie. We decided to call in a warrenty for the repair. First the lady asked my wife when we first noticed the problem, my wife replied probably 2 months ago. The lady then said all warrenty claims must be called in within 30 days or they are void. This is absolute garbage. Then she asked if we thought it was the frame, my wife replied maybe, then she said the frame wasn't covered under warrenty. We recently ordered 2 coaches for our bonus room, 1 coach has a tear. The material was shipped in and we are still awaiting a call back for scheduling. We are done with Ashley's, noting we are having these experiences 2 out of 3 times let's me know that we are not alone. Just a matter of time before there business drops.
Worst customer service. Placed an order and was promised delivery in 5 days. Cancelled delivery day before and rescheduled eventually 4 weeks later. Delivery people were 3 hours late from delivery appointment window. When they finally showed up in unmarked truck, never exited vehicle and took picture of house from cab of truck. I live in a busy neighborhood so thought it was someone else’s delivery or they were taking a break. They never knocked on door or rang doorbell. Ended up leaving without delivery of our purchase. Tried to call store several times with no response or assistance. They then said that we have to pay a cancellation fee. Horrible experience and no care for customers.
Ashley Gastonia NC Made 3 laps around the store even sat on a few pieces no one ever acknowledged my presence or ask if I needed any assistance. I asked an associate if a set I was interested in came in another color and all I got was "no ma'am it doesn't." I paused for second to see if he ask what color I'm looking for or if he or someone could show me what they may have similar in the color I wanted or something but, he didn't care to ask. Offerings are nice but I'm big on customer service. I don't know maybe it was a bad day but good customer service goes a long way.

Very disappointed in this store. Our experience began well with Bryton, who was very nice and professional when we purchased our living room furniture back in March. We were patient and fine with waiting for a delivery date around Memorial Day. No one ever called us or texted to let us know about the delivery. We only received our furniture because we physically went down to the store, more than once, to find out about our order. Everything arrived except the coffee table, which cost 282. Since around Memorial Day, we have not received any information about the coffee table. So again we go back to the store (because, again, these people are impossible to reach by anything but nonexistent texts or emails) and speak with a manager who tells us she can't give us a timeframe of when we could receive the item. She explains that there is a lumber shortage, which is why our coffee table cannot be built. They found the wood to make a couch, a loveseat, and two end tables, but ran out of wood when it came time to construct the coffee table. We left, unsatisfied, but I returned later in the evening to cancel the order because the ambiguity of an expected delivery date, together with other people's similar ordeals with this store, aren't worth the hassle. I arrive at the store and Zach tells me he will have the manager cancel the coffee table first thing in the morning. I asked him if he would cancel it and was informed that "only a manager can cancel an order." No other manager appeared to be available. So we have no phone calls, no emails, no delivery date, no lumber, and only a chosen few that can cancel an order. We encountered none of this nonsense when we purchased furniture from this store years ago for our entire home. This will definitely be our last purchase with this store. Please do yourself a favor and buy your furniture somewhere else. UPDATE: We received a phone call this very morning from Anna, at around 9:05, letting us know that the manager had put in the cancellation of the coffee table, as per our request. She also said that it could take a few days for corporate to do the transaction. She did send an email stating our credit card is to be credited for the item, plus tax, so at the very least, that was resolved.

I ordered my furniture December 11th and still have not received it. I keep getting empty promises one after another. Getting ready to cancel my order. I gave 1 star because I had to.
Received the second delivery of the furniture I ordered 3 months ago. First delivery was done by an excellent crew of professional, courteous men. However, one individual from this crew was the most unprofessional, aggressive, disrespectful man I have ever encountered. •At 1600 I was contacted by AF and given a delayed delivery time of between 1815-1830. I thanked the lady and went about my day. •At 1720 I received an automated call the drivers were 30 minutes away. •At 1748 I received a call from AF that they were at my residence, to which I informed her of the prior call stating "1815-1830" and that I was 10 minutes or so away, apologized, and asked if they could go ahead and unload while waiting. •At 1757 I received a call from a cell. The guy stated he was with AF and asked how far away I was. I apologize, explained the misinformation I had been given, and told him I was 5 minutes away at most. He quipped, "Didn't you receive my 30 notice!?" Again, I apologized and offered him the option of leaving if waiting was problematic. •I apologized as soon as I arrived, and let them in. One was warm and understanding, while the other was visibly upset and scowling. The latter individual soon entered with a long box, and between moving to place it in the living room, to which I requested it be placed in the bedroom. Visibly aggravated, he quickly headed towards the bedroom - my daughter and I were exiting - and after nearly hitting my daughter with the box I stated, "Sure, could you please wait?" He aggressively responded, "Move outta my way." I immediately felt very uncomfortable, stated "stop what you're doing, and get out of my house. I don't feel safe." He replied, "Tell me what I said!" I replied, "You know what you said please leave." He became more verbally aggressive, claiming he "just asked me to move", to which I stuck to my guns and he exited my home. •Nice guy immediate apologized, and offered to complete the delivery solo. Gratefully, I accepted. Rude guy did help bring in the long portion of my brand new couch, but dropped it - with intention - at the doorway from hip height. •I have never EVER felt so uncomfortable in my own home, nor so completely disrespected by a company. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE AFTER SPENDING $10,000.

Pretty furniture but out of my price
I purchased a floor model item and was given an alotted time frame to pick up the item. When I returned to pick up the item (and I was well within the alotted time frame) the item was nowhere to be found in the store. Apparently, they sold my item to someone else. That shows a lack of professionalism and integrity as well as disregard for a repeat customer. I won't be doing business with this company again. What a disappointment.
I'm giving this a 1 because they continued to postpone the time they would bring my couch, I got a table around June 2020 and I asked them to replace the bars but they are just now coming!! They also said they would give me a check but they still haven't sent it!!! If I was you I would either go to a different store or take a risk

Just to get a call Saturday morning and say they over filled the truck and did not have my furniture on it. What is the point of pre scheduling this week early? That’s pretty terrible logistics. I’ve been waiting for someone to give me a call back —to pick up my dresser set. It was delivered on Saturday and I wasn’t satisfied with it. I’ve been calling the store all week with no progress being made. A gentlemen answered today and said “just because you don’t like it, doesn’t mean Ashley’s will take it back.” How can you make me keep furniture that isn’t suitable for my home?! Still NO progress made! Do not shop here!

Great customer service but unbelievable back to back calls when I’m a day late to pay a bill on a chair. We are in the middle of a pandemic. I sincerely apologize that I am not as punctual as I was when COVID wasn’t present. The salesman go as far as asking me; “What time do you plan to pay ma’am”? They can gladly have their merchandise back. I’ve never experienced this but my spending with the better? company has taught me a great lesson. You don’t need what your eyes want all the time.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced when trying to buy furniture. We weren’t greeted and completely ignored. Staff couldn’t be bothered with us. That’s ok I’ll spend my good hard earned money else where and I’ll tell everyone I know not to shop here.

Ashley Furniture has the worse delivery company delivering their furniture to their customers and just because of this reason alone, I’m getting a full refund and they can have their furniture back. I went and bought a complete bedroom set, paid for it straight out and was told it would be delivered the following week. Well the delivery company called and told me they would be at my house that following Wednesday between 11:30a-2:30p. That morning they called and said the delivery guys was running behind and my time was changed to 2:30p-5:00p. I had an appointment to go to by 3:50 so I called my son who is 21 and told him to come to my house for the delivery. Well they came a little after 4p, my 16y/o let them in, they seen my oldest son said what’s up to him, went to my bedroom then went back outside and called the company they work for and told them nobody was over 18 in the home.(A lie) so the company called me and I told them my oldest son who is 21 is in the home. I then made my 21 y/o son go outside and talk to the delivery drivers and they told him everything was cool. Then they go in the back of the delivery truck and stay in the truck for a good 15min,(I thought they was getting my furniture) by this time it’s almost 4:40 I’m watching my home camera’s they still in the back of the truck with my furniture. They then called their company to say the dresser I ordered was too big to go upstairs (Another lie) they got out the truck, closed the back door, got in the truck and left. Nobody from Ashley Furniture called to tell me anything. My oldest son called me and said they just left. I’m so mad because I took off of work and waited all day until my appointment and didn’t get my furniture. I called the delivery company NOBODY CARED they just read off what they lying delivery drivers said all while i was watching them on my camera. I called Ashley Furniture they didn’t care either telling me i had to call next day and scheduled another delivery date and time then they had the nerve to ask me why I wasn’t home to get my delivery!! Omg I went off. That’s none of your business why I wasn’t at home. If y’all would’ve been there on time (11a-2p) i would’ve been home 😡Keep in mind, I paid for my furniture in FULL OVER $4000 and this how you treat your customers. I’m definitely getting a full refund and I will spend my money elsewhere. Ashley Furniture definitely don’t care about their customers. These guys never wanted to bring my furniture in my home and set it up I’m guessing because it was almost 5pm and that’s what i paid for “Delivery and set up”. I will never buy anything else from Ashley Furniture. Another time I had rented my house out and my tenant ordered something from Ashley and the delivery guys hit my mailbox and lied and said it was crushed when they got there. Thank god I got cameras around my house and I sent the video to Ashley Furniture. They will lie so BEWARE!!!!

I am adding a second review about Ashley HomeStore and Ashley Furniture. Don’t ever buy from them. Horrible experience and we are waiting for our refund, considering contacting the BBB. We bought our furniture on 12/14/2020. The sales rep said 5-7 weeks we would have delivery. Those weeks came and went. Then we were told 8-12 weeks from date of purchase. After having spoken to 4 different customer service reps, 2 of which were very nice and 2 who were rude, we were advised after the 10th week we can cancel and receive a full refund. So on 3/4/2021 (the 11th week) we went to an awesome local furniture store and bought furniture, which by the way was delivered 1 WEEK LATER on 3/11. I called Ashley HomeStore the same day we purchased from this other store (3/4), calling the local number to the store where we purchased. Interesting that you call local, but are routed to some general customer service. I requested to cancel and was told I “had to speak to the sales rep of the store I purchased from”, and was placed on hold. Godwin, the sales rep of the Gastonia, NC store came on the line. He wasn’t as pleasant as the night we bought from him, but I figured he was losing a sale, so I’d give him some grace. He asked for the sale details and said “ok, I will look into this” and hung up on me. Now I’m a little irritated. I called back, same number, same crazy process, and was again transferred to the Gastonia, NC store, receiving the sales manager, Anna. I told her what had just occurred with Godwin, she apologized, and then explained they do not process refunds, that they “submit requests for refunds and it takes 5-7 business days to get the refund”. She then offered to compensate me more as my furniture is going to be delivered ...”it shows in 4 weeks”. I declined this and said, please submit my request for refund and fully cancel my order, that I want all my money back for their failure to deliver when they said they would. She emailed me a copy of the “request for refund” and our order was canceled. Now I’m waiting for my money back. What kind of insane hold my money and lie to me process is this company doing? The purchase was on a credit card and they are just continuing to lie about delays. I am on day 14 of that “5-7 business day” wait for a refund, and in calling again have now been told it’s a “7-10 business day” wait, and I “should have the credit on my card by 3/19”, and “if not, to call back”. There is no one...NO ONE...above these customer service reps that a person can speak with...and their “finance department processes all requests for refunds”. So essentially once they get your money, no one at Ashley cares about your delivery or anything. Worst experience...no complaint process. Just customer service reps with talking points to get you off the phone. Ashley HomeStore is a scam, and all I’ve heard is nightmare stories about their furniture quality. I’m so glad we canceled. What I cannot figure out is the many pieces of furniture I’ve purchased from two other furniture stores...75% has been shipped and/or delivered within an average of 2 weeks, yet Ashley blames all their delays on the pandemic. That’s the biggest lie of all.

It can be hard to come by but Ashley does stand by their products. We purchased a sectional here and within less than two years of very standard or mild use...there’s only two of us no children... this thing is literally falling apart at the seams. We got the full protection plan and were told it would cover anything that could happen to the fabric. Well when we went to file a claim we were told that none of our issues were covered. We have broken zippers, burst seams and fraying. This fabric is trash. Now we wasted our money for a sofa that looks like garbage after less than two years. Forget about customer service you will wait on hold for Hours and receive no help.this was not a low priced item. For the money we paid for this sofa it should last!

One of the worst Ashley's I've been to. We went in, and heard this OBNOXIOUS cackling almost immediately. It was so loud it was interrupting our conversation about furniture we actually liked. It was the MANAGER. It continued for about 10 minutes before we just left because, why shop if we can't even hear ourselves discuss? The salespeople sat on their phones the entire time, masks down until they saw us looking then pulled them up. Na, id go elsewhere if I were you. Charlotte isnt that far away to avoid this hot mess.
I purchased over 10,000 dollars of furniture in 2014 and bought 900 dollars of their protection plan to be used towards other furniture 5 years later if the protection plan was not used. Since we had the pandemic and my husband suffers from cancer I was not able to shop for furniture with my protection plan money of 900$ till November and was told my time had EXPIRED THREE MONTHS AGO. COVID Didn’t matter. Shut downs didn’t matter. No grace for the sad state our country is in and they could care less about you!!!!! DONT GO HERE THEY WILL SCREW YOU

Super disappointed!! I purchased a table w/ a warranty in January of 2019. I unfortunately had to file a claim on 5/27/20 due to a large scratch (which is covered under the GBE warranty that I purchased w/ the table. It took three months for the warranty to be handled, and I was delivered a used, damaged table missing parts on 8/16. It is now 11/17 and after multiple calls to Ashley furniture, I have no resolution. The repeated comment is- you will hear from someone in 7-10 days, or the parts you need will be delivered in 7-10 days.....well its been 3 months??? I am so disappointed and will no longer be shopping with Ashley, huge bummer because I love their furniture!
Placed an order that was a month away from being delivered. First delivery date was pushed back. Second was canceled because of the driver. Was told it would be another month to be delivered. Could never get an answer why. Finally found out they didn’t have the full order. Place is a joke. Managers will tell you what you want to hear not the truth. Avoid this place!!
Ordered a complete bedroom set for $5000 on Labor Day with expected delivery date of 10/15. Received a call 10/13 stating delivery won't be for another 10 weeks. Won't be dealing with them ever again.
This place is awful! Don’t go here! The sales people don’t get your order right then when you call customer service it’s worse! They all suck! They charge you one price online and another price in store. Go to your local furniture store and you’ll pay half the price. These are the worse people to work with they care nothing about earning your money. Go somewhere else!
Where do I start, I’m usually not one to complain or write bad reviews but boy! It all started about 4 months ago when me and my wife went in to buy a kitchen table set. We went over with (Rodney) the sales assistant about the table we wanted to buy, long story short they had the wrong sku number on the table so we received the wrong table 3 weeks later. I went back up there after my wife telling the delivery guys it was wrong also(no help). Went over with Rodney and zack(manger) well it went good was just gonna take some time for the table to get here(8 weeks). So that Saturday shows up and the delivery guys come with the wrong table again! Call zack and he tells me I have to be the one to call and figure it out(Bad customer service). Well I call the store and nobody has any idea. No one is returning my calls after leaving messages with both Zach and Rodney. SAVE THE HEADACHE AND GO SOMEWHERE ELSEWHERE! When it comes to customer service this place has none after you purchase. SAD....
Worst experience ever. Still haven't completed this nightmare yet. Put $3,000 worth of furniture on layaway in February, made monthly payments with running the final $918.00 on July 4th- expected them to set up delivery. Waited until they ran my card to tell me the color we ordered was NO LONGER AVAILABLE. They assured us they would give us a $100 refund which we could expect in 3-5 business days as an inconvenience refund (still haven't received that 3 MONTHS later.) They don't apparently do ACTUAL layaway, they take all your money and you just have to hope the product is still available upon final payment (it did not work this way 3 years ago when we bought our house- it was real layaway and a good experience back then.) So they ordered the same set in a different color that would be delivered in a month. The mattress was available right then but we opted to wait until there was an actual bed to put it on. 2 days before the delivery (August 7th) we got a voicemail saying the mattress was now being delayed another week. The delivery men did not set up the bed correctly, were missing several of the bracing pieces and only screwed in half of the slats that hold the mattress but not even in the right spots. They left the rest of the screws in a pile on the floor. They broke the nightstand while setting it up. We immediately called the store and spent forever on the phone having to run through the entire ordeal and sent a multitude of pictures over so they could contact a furniture repair place. We insisted that the wood was broken he would not be able to repair it and that couldn't they just order a new nightstand? They will not replace anything even though we sent them pictures of the broken wood rails until the furniture repair people tell them they can't repair it to "showroom quality." August 14th they delivered the mattress and the moron delivery guy broke the wood threshold to our front door. My husband asked who was going to fix that and the guy said they would call us and snapped a pic with his phone. Surprise, surprise they never called. My husband had to fix it himself. We already spent $100 extra on wood and such to fix the bed so the mattress could be put on it since they didn't seem to care. September 11th the furniture repair guy came and was here less than 5 minutes. One look and the wooden bracing he said he couldn't fix that. He called Ashley and told the lady (he was on speaker phone so I heard the whole conversation) that it wasn't repairable and she said "ok, we'll call and set up to pickup and exchange for a new one" he said to make sure to listen for their call insinuating it would be shortly. 2 hours later no call still so we called the store phone # and after 22 minutes on hold got someone apparently in corporate- we went over the entire situation from the start and he said they would call within 2 business days as they needed a report from the repair guy. While we were on hold waiting we looked the item up on their website and it was now showing OUT OF STOCK. Are you freaking kidding me? September 18th spoke to someone else @ Ashley who then said 7-10 business days for a report from the repair guy. October 9th, called again since it's ANOTHER month, spoke to a lady who was obvious she was just putting us on hold and not even trying to help us. She said they haven't gotten any report yet. We sent a message to Johnny on the Spot to let them know Ashley is supposedly still waiting for the report. Will update if anything ever gets resolved. Pretty sure at this point they do not want to admit that since they waited to reorder, it's out of stock and are too cowardly to even tell us. WE KNOW. I hate this place and will never set a foot inside again once we are done with this never-ending nightmare.

In store experience was good. Very helpful. Not pushy. Long wait for delivery. Delivery service is no good. Rescheduled delivery time 5 times in 1 day. They finally show up at 9:45 pm. There were pieces missing from the truck. Now I have a bed but no matress or box spring. They say matress was delivered but was not. The dresser was broken and the drawers either would not open or were broken. They won't tell me when the mattress and box spring will be delivered. The delivery workers were unprofessional and to hide the damage. We made them take the broken dresser back. I would not recommend.

Do not do business with this company. They cancelled my delivery 4 times . I took time off from work to be available for the time frame they gave me. When they didn't show up i waited an hour to call because i figured they were just running behind. When i called i was informed the delivery was cancelled. No one from the store or warehouse called to tell me this. I will not continue my rant on how awful my experience was just know my furniture was never delivered when they said it would be .When i cancelled i was told i would need management approval for a refund. I made multiple calls and each time was told emails and messages were left for management but i never received any return calls. I am still waiting for my refund to happen. Its been a month.
We will definitely be back to business with them again in the future. Initially they just pointed us in the directions accordingly, which I thought was odd. I was definitely expecting a cars salesman. -Following you, stepping on your heels. "Our" sales rep kept coming back to help us. Finally we accepted. We had no idea where to begin, where to end, if we just should have stayed home...but with his help, it turned into sitting on the same furniture several times!! He'd even sit too. What I liked abt our was, he was our personal representative the entire time, from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left. When we had no clue and finally decided we needed help, we didn't need to go searching for customer service! We got some pretty shabby deals 👌 As long as Bryant is there, he'll get our sales.
We order a bedroom set in early June and got a delivery date for July. The delivery time frame we got was from 11am to 2pm and It ended up that the furniture was not going show up till 9:45pm. We had to reschedule the delivery and the same thing happened again. The promise times are not what you actually get and it is very disappointing. I would NEVER want anything from there again.
Absolutely horrific. The WORST experience you could ever imagine. In house they were nice, professional, helpful. Delivery , and actually receiving the furniture was abusive. We bought a an entire bedroom set $4k/ish cash on June 12th. The delivery was rescheduled 3 different times, pieces of the furniture came through UNEXPECTEDLY without notice, and there were even som marks on the furniture from rough handling at some point. When this furniture finally arrived on July 11 in the later part of the afternoon (our delivery window was set between 8AM - 12PM) we had already called Ashley furniture 6 times, we were hung up on, lied to, and spent a whole saturday waiting on any communication from them. All of this while our actual bedroom had been emptied out of our original furniture, clothes displaced, mattress on the floor for about 2 1/2 weeks because that was the original delivery date. Small furniture I'm sure is fine, but don't trust them with big purchases or anything important because they aren't reliable and can't be counted on. I'll definitely be leaving this feedback on social as well.
I'm editing my earlier post to list the pros and cons of shopping at Ashley HomeStore in Gastonia. Pros - I really like my furniture overall and I didn't have the delivery issues others have complained about. Bryton the sales rep was awesome and Sammy the manager is helping me get my problems resolved. Cons - received 2 slightly broken drawers and was supposed to get replacement drawers in April, which then became May, and then I was told I wouldn't get them until at least late July. I was afraid I'd never get the replacement drawers or they would arrive even more damaged, so I agreed to keep the damaged drawers I already had and got a small store credit for my trouble. I also signed up for the 36 month finance period but the store mistakenly put me on the 12 month finance period. This is finally getting resolved by Sammy, but only after spending hours on the phone with customer service, the store, the finance company and the Ashley HomeStore corporate office. Plus, despite the phone calls, I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to keep things moving after a month and a half with no resolution. So I still leave my rating as a 1 because, despite the positives about my experience, I'm not sure it's been worth all the hassle.

I have waited almost 2 months for my bedroom suit to be delivered . I took off work due to there nonsense scheduling and then during the delivery time they call to tell me they are missing a part. I am then told to call back the next day to schedule a delivery for the next week another day off work. When I asked they still do not have the missing part. I asked for a refund and im told that I would be hit with a 10 percent cancellation fee. I have recently ordered other furniture through another furniture store and had delivery within 3 days. Very very dissatisfied. I will NEVER shop ashley again.
Had a great experience with Rodney Wallace today. He didn’t follow us or rush us. Very easy to talk to! We had to stay past closing and he was in no rush to leave. I can only speak for my experience with him since we won’t get our furniture till the end of the month.
Made a purchase back in early March of almost $2k. While all the old folks were walking past me while I was in my sweats, Bryton was the only person that greeted me with a kind smile and acknowledged my presence. Since I already knew what I wanted from a previous visit where no one greeted me then, it didn't take long to checkout. The transaction took less than 20 min. Thank you Bryton for being a great salesperson. The old folks could learn from you.
worst furniture buying experience. Once you purchase the furniture their customer service is no longer there. Purchased an entire living room set plus more and I've yet to receive all of my furniture. Started with them damaging one of the items then had to wait another week to only get canceled at the last minute at 8:30 pm after I've rescheduled my entire day to make sure I was home. Call customer service, they were no help and acted as if it was no big deal that we just need to deal with it. Worst customer service I've ever dealt with. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE!

I had a really nice experience at the Gastonia location. Bryton was my salesman and he was very helpful and knowledgeable. The dining room and living room pieces I purchased look perfect in my home.

Would give no stars if was an option. Biggest scammers ever. Bought a bed set from them, was delivered broken both times so we were told we could cancel and get our money back we paid down on it and it's been 6mos. and we haven't gotten refund and every month we go up there and get run around about them fixing it and it still isn't fixed. Save your time and your money DO NOT buy from there.
Six chairs came broken and they will not trade them out.
Terrible service. Asked for a tv stand that could also be used as a dresser and recieved no help at all, rude and unhelpful. Go to IKEA
Over priced charge to much to deliver
1 Star is too generous. Worst experience ever. Purchased furniture for practically every room in our new home. Sales rep was pleasant to deal with in the store which is about the only thing I can say. Just like the other reviewer we had multiple issues with getting everything delivered resulting in our master headboard and footboard leaning against our walls for weeks while Ashley's couldn't even get us the panel rails to complete the bed. Imagine hostessing Thanksgiving in your new home with mattresses on the floor and furniture left propped up against the walls in your master bedroom. The delivery department is inadequate and even management failed to even return our call as promised or provide any solution. Multiple phone calls that left me wanting to bang my head against a wall resulted in me cancelling the items that they still (after 4 weeks and 3 different partial deliveries) had no real clue on as to when I would receive them. Then the real fun began with trying to get the credits that were promised to me. As I sit here writing this review I am still waiting on one credit that I was promised 17 days ago. Was told it would take 5-7 days. Still waiting on a call from the store operations manager that I was told I would receive today. Called the store and was just told she would be out until after Christmas. They had the nerve to send a store flyer in the mail today. Are they kidding me! My advice to anyone considering purchasing from Ashley's is to go elsewhere or make the furniture yourself. Alot less hassle and time will be spent doing so than actually waiting on them to provide you what you ordered and spent your hard earned money on. We paid cash and could have gone anywhere. Really regret the decision to ever step foot in an Ashley's store!
We were scheduled to receive a living room set and dining set on 12.10.19, they showed up and said they dining set wouldn’t be delivered and I had to call and reschedule. I called to reschedule and they only allowed me to reschedule my table (not the chairs and bench) for 12.16.19. I call back the next day (12.13) when they told me I was able to reschedule my chairs and bench and they said it wasn’t available until 12.22.19 and that I couldn’t even schedule the delivery but someone else would call me to let me know the soonest delivery date. I call 12.16.19 about a time frame for delivery of my table (the delivery was confirmed twice for 12.16.19 by the way) and I am told it was NEVER scheduled. And that is was available but they would t be delivering it to me. Now I’ve been rescheduled for the complete dining set YET AGAIN on the 12.23.19. I purchased all of the furniture the day before thanksgiving. I never received phone call that my pieces wouldn’t be available I had to call and do all the work myself after spending thousands of dollars on their furniture. They show no interest or effort in helping me find a solution for the problems they have caused me. I had family coming in town and I am in a new house so the dining set would have been my only table and chairs for meals, now I am sending my guests to fast food restaurants. It’s so disappointing that a big company like Ashley Furniture can’t even get a delivery date right. I’m not sure what the people who fake scheduled the delivery dates for me are even paid for because they definitely didn’t do their job with me. I will never purchase from Ashley again after this and I will make sure everyone I know understands how awful my experience with this company has been.
Had a great experience in the store with Zac buy their contrated delivery service could be compared to Two Guys and a Truck......very disconnected but went into the store and Zac for it straightened out
Visited the store during the day, saw the furniture that I wanted and later that evening I went back and made the purchase. No hassle or fast talking sales associate which made the experience a pleasant one.
I have never been disappointed buying furniture from here

I like it when the salespeople dont stalk you around the store. Something between a horror movie and comedy movie when they are sneaking around the store, and you see them pop up out of no where.

The store in Gastonia nc is the worst as far as custmer service walked into the store walked around for awhile looking around none of the sales rep greeted me or asked if I needed help they were sitting down in a nice comfy chair doing nothing when I final went to them for help one salesperson told me the chair I was interested in the cost was 799.00 but I had went on line and the chair was 299.00 not knowledgeable about what they are selling left the store in amazement of the stupidity in that store. I did purse 2 chairs but guess what from badcock in Gastonia nc
The initial visit was wonderful, but after the furniture was ordered it went down hill from there. Furniture was ordered in May with delivery in July. Sectional sofa, kitchen table and chairs, and 3 more living room pieces were ordered. Sectional sofa had to be sent back due to damage. All legs on the other furniture required an additional visit for someone to come out and fix because they were put on wrong. Sofa with the legs installed wrong was to be exchanged when they brought the new sectional back out because the original was damaged. When they brought the replacement sectional out, they forgot to put the replacement sofa on the truck which required another time I would have to take off work to be home. They could not figure out how to get the sectional up the stairs and from my previous experience with them I ended up refusing it and sending it back. Finally got the replacement sofa and the delivery men did not have the proper equipment to install the legs so I had a sofa without legs until they could send a repair man. My question was “why am I having to repair new furniture”? Furniture was ordered in May and as of today we are still having to fight with Ashley’s because we are still being charged for furniture we do not have. Terrible experience. Numerous hours spent on the phone and at the store trying to get issues corrected. Would not recommend them at all. Completely unacceptable service. Husband has spent his entire day off today dealing with this issue with still no resolve.
