Do not buy from this store...they don't care about their customers this Ashley is owned by a company not Ashley's and they don't care about you!!! We bought some furniture here. In February...a chair we received was damaged in the box. When we opened it. The company said because we do t live at the address on the bill they will not honor the warranty... after working with the salesperson for the past 6 months trying to get this resolved...still not being taken care of. Do not buy here!!! Avoid at all costs!!!

Lis was an awesome sales associate. She realized my daughter and I needed to time discuss the selections but came back in good time to help with any questions we had and finalize the sale. Doug saved the day. One of the hardest things anyone has to do is move an elderly parent into a facility. My family suddenly found ourselves at that point, and honestly, my head was somewhere else entirely. I had a terrible experience earlier that day trying to get furniture quickly—but then we walked into Ashley Outlet and met Doug. He was kind, patient, and really seemed to understand how stressed and scattered we werem Doug helped us get exactly what we needed and arranged for next-day delivery to the facility so my loved one could have a dresser and nightstand right away—just enough to feel a little more grounded in a scary, uncertain time. So glad we stopped in late on a Thursday night. Thank you, Doug.

On Saturday, June 21st, my husband, son, and I walked into the Ashley Furniture Warehouse in Matthews to help my son furnish his very first apartment. A nice gentleman named Doug approached us and asked how he could help and what we were looking for. My son was initially looking for a couch, but we ended up browsing through dining tables, TV stands, and end tables as well. Doug was incredibly patient and thorough—he took the time to draw out each room and helped us figure out exactly where the furniture would be placed when it arrives at my son’s apartment on Thursday, July 3rd. I can’t tell you what a godsend he was for us during this important moment in my son’s life. Doug made what could have been a stressful day feel exciting, manageable, and even fun. His kindness and attention to detail were above and beyond anything we expected. I was so impressed with Doug that I came back to the Ashley Furniture Warehouse the very next day, on Sunday, June 22nd, this time with my daughter, who just moved into her first home. We arrived just before 5 PM, and honestly, I didn’t think she would buy anything that day. But once again, Doug greeted us with the same warm, helpful attitude. He guided my daughter through her options and answered every question with care. By the time we left, she had purchased a couch, dining table, TV stand, and end tables—everything she needed to make her house a home. Doug also helped both of my kids apply for financing, which was such a huge help as they’re both starting out on their own. Ashley Furniture is incredibly lucky to have someone like Doug on their team. He made a real difference in both of my children’s lives, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the way he took care of our family on both visits.

STAY AWAY FROM DOUG AT THIS ASHLEY STORE! Sleazy salesman at its finest. Overpromises and under delivers. Walked into the store and doug greeted us. We looked at furniture for a few hours and had stuff picked out, however we had plans later and could not finish our order that day. Doug was very nice during our buying process, and promised we would get most of our order on June 4th and the rest on june 21st. That night he texted multiple times to get us to come back in the store the next day to complete the deal. We went back in and purchased the furniture as stated, and after that it all went downhill. We were told we would be given a delivery time frame 2 days before our alleged june 4th date. On june 2nd we received no call so we reached out to doug. I called him and my call was declined. I then texted him the issue and all he said was “can I call you later”. Keep in mind, we had moved all our furniture out of our room and sold it thinking we would have everything on june 4th aside from the mattress which was coming the 21st. We never received another text or message from Doug. It seems as if he only cares about making a sale and will screw you over and not respond after you sign the contract. You would think he would take care of his customers and at least respond after they spend thousands of dollars with him, but apparently he only cares about the money and not about the customers in the slightest. We then had to drive 40 minutes to the store and speak with a manager and figured out that Doug set all of our furniture to be delivered on the 21st and nothing on the 4th as promised. Funny enough, the manager told us the furniture such as the dresser wasnt even available in the warehouse until the 13th so there was no possibility of it being delivered on the 4th when he told us it would be delivered. Again Doug seems to lie and cheat customers to make a dollar, which is why I will NEVER use doug or Ashley again. The manager did do the best he could and moved our delivery to today (the 13th) and gave us a slight discount, but when the furniture was delivered they sent us some wrong pieces for the bed frame and am now awaiting a call back for them to set up a time to redeliver the proper furniture which who knows how long will take. All in all, an utter disaster of an experience for customers who spent almost 10k to be treated like trash.

I have purchased from other Ashley locations but would recommend the East Independence Outlet location due to our experience with Daquan alone. He cares about the customer and seems to enjoy working for Ashley. He knew all the details of their mattresses for children program. Can't recommend this location enough! She was able to quickly swap pieces out and meet my living room measurements and saved me some $. The sectional just got delivered today and it’s beautiful! You will leave with a new piece of furniture and not a display. Will definitely shop here again if needed.

Doug was amazing and really took the time to show me different products and get me there to the product that I wanted as close as possible. Worked with me to find financing since my credit isn’t the best. Great salesperson and store does perfect every time.

The sales rep Doug Dreyden was interested in what exactly we wanted to see as well as making comparisons. We were very pleased with our purchase.

The worst experience with Ashley. Everything was great until we were suppose to get our couch delivered. Delivery driver wouldn’t deliver as he sad out door frame was .5in too small. We rejected the delivery and asked for a refund which we were promised would be automatic. After almost a week we still had not received a refund so we reached out to our sales rep who then told us that it would be 15% “restocking fee” . We called because we were never informed of a restocking fee and they had the worst customer service and hung up on me. Avoid at all cost. Company will scam you.

I ordered a table and 8 chairs, sofa, loveseat online on Black Friday. And no one could tell me where my furniture was 6 weeks later. Went into the Matthews Store and Doug and Tina helped me cancel my online order and place a new order. A week later I’m finally getting my new table and chairs and will get my couches next week!

An honest estimate on the delivery would’ve taken our business to somewhere that could fulfill our needs. So we’ll enjoy the New Year sitting on the floor for who knows how many more weeks.

If I could give zero stars I would. First the sofas in the show room are not comparable at all to what you receive. The quality of the sectional that was delivered to us is about the same as a Walmart futon. Next they berate you with a 5 year extended warranty even when you tell them you don’t want it multiple times, but conveniently leave out that there is zero return policy. Once merchandise is delivered, you have to keep it. Our sales associate Doug did not tell us this, and even listened to us talk about how if we didn’t like it in the layout of our home that we could always return it. They won’t even compromise and exchange it for something different. In my opinion this place is shady with how they do business and between the quality of merchandise and customer service, we will never bring business here again and suggest you don’t either.

We purchased a leather recliner and loveseat for 6,000 cash on October 11, 2024. The furniture was reduced to 4,000 on the day we it was delivered October 28, 2024. On 11 /2 2024 , We were waiting to speak to the manager and were told there was no adjustment and nothing could be done. This is outrageous. I will NOT recommend purchasing from this company. We purchased from the Matthews, NC store. I am disappointed and appalled!!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN! Shemora A. was our sales person but could not do anything for us because the manager refused to speak or help us. I will be researching his name as well! I intend to call the corporate office! I want to clarify that Shemora did not do anything wrong. She helped us with negotiating a price. The Management of this store ( Matthews NC) totally ignored is when we asked about an adjustment in pricing. Again, Ashley was helping us throughout our sales process and to her we are grateful to her for her professional attitude. This review is from Larry and Helen Hickmon.

I paid for a 5 year warranty and was told that any stains or tears in my furniture were covered and even according to the pamphlet given it said it would be covered. The warranty provider said that neither the stains or the tears in the furniture were covered. These are the worst quality couches and love seats seriously GO TO LAYZBOY DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!! Terrible service, terrible response. FURNITURE WAS TRASH AFTER 6 MONTHS DON'T BUY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Daniel and the staff at Ashley Outlet were amazing. The furniture is all new, so no worries of the usual "Outlet" damaged products. Furniture prices were easily negotiatable to what I was hoping to pay. I've been looking for a kitchen table set at a great price. We visited the Independence Blvd location and the sales rep Doug Dreyer gave us a very good deal on the set we finally settled for. Delivery and set-up was prompt. The counter height set is very high quality wood, it comes with 6 chairs. The gray matches my decor and it has height leveling adjustable front legs on each chair which is a major plus! The chairs are cushioned seats made of durable firm fabric. I'm very satisfied with the service and selection. I'll return to this location in the future. Highly recommended 👍👍👍
