I just bought A beautiful couch from Doug at Ashley Matthews. He was so patient I had my granddaughter with me and he was wonderful with her. He Worked with me to make sure that I was happy and I got the deal that I was satisfied with. I’m very happy. I would recomend this store and working with Doug!

I had an excellent experience at this store. I was greeted by Doug as I entered the store. He was very personable and helpful in my search for the “perfect” couch. Like Goldilocks (except it was couches not beds) I sat on quite a few couches until I found “the one” 🤗. The whole process was very seam less. Now I await delivery and I’m hoping to enjoy my couch for years to come.

Daquan helped me fine exactly what I needed and was so awesome to work with! I love when a sales person doesn’t push you and listens to what you actually want, that’s exactly what he did!

We came in today with indecisiveness about what kind of couch would work best in our living room. The living room is a place my family spends most of our time, so the decision was an important one to make. As soon as we walked in the door, we were warmly greeted by Doug. He wasn’t overbearing, and gave us time to go over what we were looking for in our next couch purchase. While we made our couch choice, Doug went over Diamond Care option, which brought much relief. In addition, we were given many payment options. All in all, this was a pleasant experience, and we will be going back soon. Now if I can convince my husband to purchase a new kitchen table and chairs, we will be contacting Doug very soon!

I had the best experience shopping at Ashley on Thursday, my husband and I have shopped at the store on Independence Blvd on several occasions. This last visit was the best, my consultant, Barbara Bell was very, very helpful. She even took time with the help of a young man to set up and shame how to put the framework together, I explained that I was making the purchase for my grand nephew and the fact that he has some mental challenges and that I would have to show him how to put it together. I went to purchase a couch, The couch I purchased ended up being on display so me and my husband had to pick up the couch ourselves and deliver it to our home ourselves. Upon purchase the salesman/manager, he tells me when we come back to pick up the couch. There will be somebody to help us load up the couch, but we had to bring all our own materials to keep the couch clean and in shape so it won’t get dirty in the move. I knew the couch was heavy and I was so happy that somebody would help us at least load the couch because we don’t know many people in Charlotte. I was so happy with the customer service paid, I also paid for the couch in full. The next day, my husband went alone to get the couch because the previous day the manager said it would be somebody there to help load the couch with him. When my husband got there, the guy asked do you need help to load the couch? My husband said yes the guy said well. I can’t help you my back hurts. The couch was pretty heavy and two women ended up helping my husband load the couch. Me and my husband was very disappointed because upon purchasing a couch you told me somebody would help load the couch then you give my husband is nasty attitude, saying your back hurt and have women help load the couch. My husband did mention that towards the end, another guy came out and tried to help load the couch. I do love my couch, but I hate the fact that when buying a couch it was all smiles, but come to pick it up. Once you all have my money. It’s like we got treated like nothing.

I would highly recommend having Tyrone assist you. His customer service was spot on, answering all of our questions and giving us the time we needed to decide without feeling pressured. Unfortunately I have to downgrade my original review due to poor custoner service from management. I will not be returning to Ashley Furniture to shop again. I found out unbeknownst to me that once furniture is delivered they have a company policy that nothing is returnable. I had one small piece of furniture that didn't fit in my living room and this store in Matthews, NC and someone from corporate told me sorry but Im stuck with a piece of furniture I can't use. In all my experience dealing with retail stores this is the worst policy with no exceptions on returns. The worst part of it is Ashley didn't hold the delivery driver accountable for giving me false information on the returns process. I wouldn't advise anyone the shop with a retailer that doesn't return brand new unused merchandise. That's just bad business.

Our sofa set is worn out. After looking online, we went to Ashley Outlet. Whitney, our Sales Associate, helped us to make informed choices, explaining features, looking up dimensions, and providing quotes. We changed our minds a few times before landing on the desired set. Whitney was pleasant and patient. Of note: we were told the furniture deliverers won’t move our existing pieces and they don’t take the used furniture, but Ashley provided resources that would. We set a delivery date and we are waiting. Hopefully, everything will meet our expectations.

I went into Ashley Outlet today to look at buying a new recliner. Tyrone met me at the door and helped me to find just the right one. He was helpful without a lot of sales pressure. My husband and I always like to shop around to get the best value for our money and to ideally purchase from a company that seems professional and trustworthy. Ashley Outlet in Matthews was the store for us, on that basis, for our new couch! Doug greeted us upon arrival and was wonderful--knowledgeable, professional, personable, but not pushy. While we generally tend to avoid places that even have sales people like this, Doug proved to be much more of an asset than a liability in our shopping experience.

I am trying to find the perfect sofa and love seat or a sectional for a large room. Tyrone was very helpful. He talked to me about the different fabrics, the different cushions, the recliners that hug the wall and the diamond maintenance package and all its benefits. He was very informative and helped me narrow my decision down to two sets. Now I just have to decide which to purchase. I will be sure to work with this same helpful salesman!

I first went to Pineville to look at a living set which I seen online. but they did not have one on person…so the person helping me told me to call the Matthews store. We went in yesterday to look at couches, and the sales consultant Daquan was immediately helpful! We were actually looking at a couch that we liked the shape and material of but not color, so we were about to leave when he came over and mentioned they had it in exactly the color we were looking for. The store is neat and organized, easy to look through, and the buying process was easy.

Walked into the store with my 3 year old son the other day. I wasn’t fully intending to buy a sectional yet, I really just wanted to try some to get an idea of what I would want when I was ready to buy. From the second we walked in the door, Doug was amazing! He greeted us immediately, and acknowledged my son, asked his name and gave him something to keep him occupied while we were in the store. He had me try a couple at first that I didn’t really like, but he got more information from me as to what I was looking for so I mentioned having a cat, 3 young kids, and prior back surgery so I didn’t want anything too firm. He took me over to the perfect one. It is the Next-Gen DuraPella. It’s resistant to scratches and water-repellent, and has a zero gravity reclining mechanism so was perfect for what I needed. As I said in the beginning, I had little intention of buying anything yet, but Doug was SO friendly and helpful that we ended up driving back 2 days later and ordering. Thank you, Doug!

I stopped in the Charlotte Ashley location to purchase an outdoor patio set that I saw in the Pineville location. I dealt with Liz and Tina and they were super saved me a lot of money and said I was sorry that I didn’t come to this location sooner because they were very pleasant. I also told him that I just moved here from New York and I needed to buy a lot of furniture. I purchased some in the Pineville location. I would have saved more money if I shopped in the Charlotte location I even mentioned that I purchased some stuff in rooms to go, and everybody stopped what they were doing and looked up And everybody laughed like I said a bad word I will definitely be Shopping in that location again thanks to all of them.

Do not buy from this store...they don't care about their customers this Ashley is owned by a company not Ashley's and they don't care about you!!! We bought some furniture here. In February...a chair we received was damaged in the box. When we opened it. The company said because we do t live at the address on the bill they will not honor the warranty... after working with the salesperson for the past 6 months trying to get this resolved...still not being taken care of. Do not buy here!!! Avoid at all costs!!!
