We worked with a great sales person Ted Gaskins which made our experience one of the best we have ever had. We were in the market for probably our last mattress we will ever buy. My wife and I are 78 so we are old enough to appreciate a good nights rest. Ted took his time to explain in detail the whys and why nots in every mattress they carry. We settled in on a Beauty Rest that we feel was the best for our needs because of his great presentation in salesmanship and honesty. We are very happy with our purchase!!

Outstanding Experience with Ted at Ashley Furniture – Morehead City I had an absolutely amazing experience working with Ted at the Ashley Furniture in Morehead City. I originally went in just to look for a couch and was very upfront that I wasn’t buying that day. Ted was incredibly respectful of that—no pressure at all. He let me take my time, explore the showroom, answered questions, and simply gave me his card when I left. I found a loveseat and couch I really liked but wanted my husband to see them first. We came back the day after Christmas, and Ted was just as helpful as before. He answered all of our questions, worked with us on pricing, and gave us a great deal. He told us delivery would take 2–3 weeks, but to our surprise, our furniture arrived in just one week! Even better, the delivery drivers arrived early within the 3-hour window they provided and were efficient and professional. From start to finish, this was a fantastic experience. Ted’s honesty, patience, and customer service truly stood out. We’ll definitely be back—possibly soon for a dining room table! Highly recommend asking for Ted if you shop here. Bobbi helped us pick out new furniture for our living room. We had an idea of what we wanted, but she sealed the deal and then some. She’s not pushy, was so personable and relatable, and (best of all) we didn’t feel as if we were just another sale. Bobbi is invaluable to your store!

We asked the manager (?) a simple question about one of the items and he told us it didn’t matter because we couldn’t afford it anyway. He then told us to leave because our “conversation is boring.” ??

We were looking for a bed that is well made, and with storage/connectivity. The bed Bobbi showed us and we purchased has all of the about with an outstanding price!

Two of my dressers were delivered damaged. Contacted customer service and they were great with ordering me replacements and told me we could use the old ones until the new ones came in. Waited three weeks to get the new ones, and they were damaged even worse! So we decided to keep the old (less damaged) ones and asked customer service for money off, but apparently the highest discount is 10%. We didn’t want to risk waiting weeks again for new dressers that could maybe also be damaged, so we took the 10%, although we feel like it should have been more. I realize this is more of a distribution/customer service issue and not a store problem, but unfortunately since we cannot trust the furniture to be delivered in good shape, we probably will not be shopping at this store anymore.

We did a 2 day shop. One day to look and 15 minutes the next dat to buy. Bobbi was so good being available but not “in our face”. We have already passed along her contact info to our friends.

We ordered a king storage bed with delivery and set up. The delivery guys had us sign the acceptance knowing the bed was defective (shame on us for not thoroughly inspecting), and then said there was nothing they can do about it. Ashley now refuses to offer refund and we are stuck with junk bed.

Being a former employee of Ashley Homestore in another state, I was a little leary because of the atmosphere of my personal experience. I can't tell you how thrilled my sister and I were when we met Ted at the door. From the onset, he listened to what we were shopping for....a mattress.. He didn't follow us around, but made sure that we knew that the mattresses on the floor displays were there for us to test. The first one we looked at was a purple hybrid, I believe, and we loved it. We continued on and he checked in on us. The mattress is for me and I explained that I was sleeping on a Tempur, but that it had seen better days. We really didn't want to spend that much, but didn't want to "settle" either. He took us to a Beauty Rest black hybrid and gave us the benefits and, as a good salesperson does, the differences in it and the others. I LOVED the Beauty Rest and that was it. As I know, the mattress protector is so important of course we purchased that and a set of the BedGear linens (LOVE) and he was able to give a great deal on those as well as pillows. He was a pleasure to work with and I will be sending friends to see him for their furniture and bedding needs. DO NOT LET HIM GO! He is a perfect combination of what a salesperson should be; he listens, he recommends, he isn't pushy and he was reassuring that the decision we made was a good one. So personable, respectful, and considerate. He is an Ashley ASSET!

I had a great experience purchasing my sectional but I will never purchase the furniture protection again. It is not worth the money. I had my sectional almost 2 yrs and I tried to put a claim in and they said due to it being a seam separation it was not covered under my plan. I was told at time of purchase this plan would cover any damages to my sectional for 4 yrs. So, if you looking to buy furniture from Ashley don't waste your money on the protection plan it is not worth it.

My wife and I were shopping for new sofas for our living room. we had looked at furniture at other furniture stores in and around New Bern but were not impressed with their merchandise nor the service they offered. One day we happened to be in Morehead City and decided to look at what the Ashley Furniture Center had to offer. The store layout was impressive upon entering. We were greeted by a sales person named Mary Margaret. Most sales people seem friendly at first but you soon realize it's part of their "act". Not so in this case...we soon felt Mary Margaret was definitely sincere about helping us find exactly what we were looking for. She asked all the right questions in a very thoughtful and non-pushy way. Once she felt she had a good understanding of our needs, she took us back to exactly the type of sofas were were interested in and presented a complete selection for us to consider. She listened to what we considered pro's and con's and help us to narrow down our choices, carefully explaining the Features and Benefits of each model...and there were many to consider! We learned a lot from her presentation. Mary Margaret definitely knew her products! We never felt rushed, and she presented various options for purchasing our choices. We definitely felt we had found a "fiend' in the Furniture business. After we made our choice, Mary Margaret kept us informed of the anticipated delivery date and other important considerations. She even gave us her Cell Phone number in case we had any questions or concerns after the Sale. Upon arrival we met James who kindly introduced himself and was very pleasant, he asked if there was anything in particular we were looking for, we told him we were looking for a sectional, he told us the sectionals were at different places in the store and we could browse around, and if we had any questions to please ask him. My wife and I walked around for a while looking, we were not bothered by any store employees which was great, no staff member was hovering over our shoulder the entire time. James kindly made his way to us as we were looking at a particular piece of furniture, he kindly asked if we had any questions, and if course the wife and I started asking our questions. James was very thorough with his answers to our questions. We ended up purchasing a couch and loveseat, during the paperwork process James explained everything in great detail. I love Ashley Furniture. Not all the stores and employees are pleasant, and I enjoy coming here regardless of purchase. I worked with James to buy a living room set. He’s great at simultaneously being close and out of sight. I would go out of my way to work with him again. I still can’t believe the deals I got between a holiday sale and floor models. The furniture looks even better in my home than I thought it did in the showroom. My ONLY issue is with the third party calling service or whatever it is to schedule the delivery. OMG it’s terrible! The delivery itself was quite lovely. Sooo much better than my hometown halfway across the country. Expect a week or two longer delivery time and you should be set for a good experience all around.

The person who helped us at Ashley was great, but beware of the “0% interest for 12 months” claims. Our account was sold to a different creditor at 4 months and now we are paying interest with a verbal promise (nothing they can show us in writing) of being reimbursed for interest we are paying once the balance is paid off. A bit shady in my opinion.

As a very indecisive couple, we ran into people not being so patient and seem to be annoyed, but that’s not James! James shows us things that we were looking for and then gives us time to run back-and-forth around the store like the crazy people are. He checks on us periodically, but he never hovers.

We have had the pleasure of shopping with Bobbi as our sales person twice. She made both times so enjoyable. We had purchased 2 power recliners and both had issues. The company offered us a full credit. When we returned to the store in Morehead City NC we were able to find 2 replacement chairs with Bobbi’s guidance. She is very knowledgeable, takes the time to discuss pros and cons when we are trying to decide between multiple items and offers the best prices she can.

When we first went in we were in preliminary stages of buying a rental property. Mary worked with us on that first visit knowing we were weeks away from buying anything. Everything was perfect. Then a few months later we went back to pick out some things for our new house. Again Mary, made numerous suggestions and was so helpful and knowledgeable. We were so lucky to have her as our sales person and would absolutely recommend her!!!

Beware of delivery.... Completely unprofessional and unreliable. I scheduled an 8-11 am drop off, I called them at 10:43 am and was told they just started delivering, they are behind, and then I was told my scheduled time was now 12:20-3:20 pm. It is 3:42 now and still no delivery and no one called me. I called Ashley's and I was told they are running behind. They had truck issues. Then I was told they called me at 1:40... and that was a lie. I wasted my entire day just playing the waiting game. This is completely unprofessional.

Ask for James! We bought furniture for a living room space and James was very knowledgeable wonderfully helpful!!! He moved lamps near the couch we were thinking of getting to see if they went together, he helped us verify the measurements of the furniture to make sure it would fit in the space. He was not pushy at all, like other furniture stores I’ve been to, you could just tell he wanted us to be happy with our purchase. I am really happy with the quality of the furniture that has been delivered so far. The Ashely Team service dept was great, too. Upon delivery there was one door to the tv stand that the magnetic closure wasn’t working as well on, the delivery team took a picture and had me call the service department, there was no hesitation they ordered a new door and a tech will stop by and install it. I was really impressed with their great customer service. James and his Ashley family were great. Highly recommend!!!

I'm writing this review because I have surpassed my frustration with this company. MY wife and I have purchased many pieces of furniture through the Morehead store. A year ago we bought a mattress for over $1,100 and within that time it has sunken in on both sides over an inch and a half. We contacted them and they sent somebody out to measure the mattress and he said yes the mattresses was in bad shape for sure. They called us and said it didn't meet their requirements for replacement and for us to call them back in a month? This bed is actually painful to sleep on. At the same time we needed to replace our couch so we went to ashley, trust me not my first choice we went Many other places first. Picked out a couch got it delivered it was broken, uneven,staples ripped the fabric and the two guys who delivered it couldn't leave fast enough. So here we go again with the awful customer service that is Ashley. Got the same run around said they would replace the whole couch only sent the middle sleeper part. This piece came with the same issue's. Called the lady back she said she did not say they would replace whole couch by now beyond angry amd told them to just come getting the couch we no longer want it anymore. We called back about the mattress and they sent the same guy to measure and he was floored they haven't replaced it yet. He measured it again and it was worse. He sent in his report and they called me the next day and said they would credit us $926 to the store but we only have 2 weeks to.use it. If I could give you no star's I would. Completely dissatisfied with your company and the way you handle customers.

This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with. I ordered my daughters furniture from this location in November of 2022. Went well past my date for when I was supposed to get in so we didn’t get it until January of 23. Since I’ve had the furniture in my home, the long dresser with the mirror has had a crack in it and the bed has yet to be installed correctly within the three visits I’ve had from this company. On my fourth visit on 3/11/23 for it to all be done correctly, there was a no call no show. I emailed and called to have someone reach back out to my husband or myself, was told a manager would reach out to me by Monday 3/20/23 because we just want a refund and no longer want the furniture and still have YET to have ANYONE contact us regarding our issues and it is now 3/21/23. I WILL NOT recommend Ashley to anyone with the horrible experience I have had.

Usually a 5 star review as we have used Ashley many times. This time, though James and Bobbi did a fantastic job as always, we had a slight issue. The furniture data card had the wrong sizes listed. Had I purchased the three pieces based on the listed widths it would not have fit in my space provided. Errors on each piece totalled 11 inches wider than listed. I had a 99 inch space, listed widths totaled 95. When I went back to the store to purchase the items, I measured the display pieces to double check and discovered the error. Fortunately I avoided buying something (the bridge piece) I could not use. Lesson learned, measure if in the store. If not, double check any measurements with the actual manufacture's specs. A simple mistake that would have been a bit painful to digest and resulted in a return. That being said, very satisfied with Ashley and their entire staff. We shall see how the 2 remaining items are, that I bought, when delivered.

My wife and I were looking for a dining table. It was one of those "we'd know it when we saw it" kind of situations. We went to more furniture stores than you can shake a stick at. Then we saw it in Ashley of Morehead City. James worked a great deal with us, and helped us negotiate through combinations of chairs and benches. He even offered to let us take a bench home to see it for ourselves. We're happy with the purchase. We're impressed with the customer service. This is a great furniture store. I’ve bought furniture here twice. First order was a couch and some bar stools. Manager was very nice and helped me get what I needed. Didn’t try to upsell me either. Helped me get what I needed and left the choices up to me for options. Made good recommendations though. Got me a better choice that was a little more than what I wanted to pay but what I needed. Delivery was quick and only waited about a week. Delivery guys were really nice. Had to walk it in the back door and were very careful. The only complaint was one of the bar stools had misthreaded screw holes. I need a tap and die set to fix those. Not a big deal just annoying when you pay good money for something. Second order was a dresser, night stand, and more bar stools. Ordering was simple again since I was in the system already. The delivery took a little longer. It was two weeks. I wasn’t at the house when they called but lucky for me I have a lovely ring doorbell. They rang and I told them that I would be there in about 5 mins. They waited since they didn’t want to take it back to the ware house. They unloaded everything and brought it in. I tipped them extra to get it up my stairs since the dresser was extremely heavy and I never would have gotten it done by myself. Very friendly and professional. I will definitely buy more in the future. Also I didn’t know this…Ashley doesn’t do gift cards/certificates. Was going to get my brother one to help him with a purchase but they don’t do them anymore. Anyways….great experience.

We just purchased 2 sofas, and a mattress from Gary at that store. He was great! He is super customer oriented, and he made us feel so comfortable! The sore itself I've always had a good experience but my situation happened when they delivered the wrong bed left me with a mattress for over a month my wife and I couldn't sleep on was stuck with either sleeping on the floor or the couch to not end up with a sleepless night and a painful morning. The corporate office said they was giving me a 50 dollar gift card. (Oh and everyone at corporate is a labeled as supervisor so dont bother asking for one they all are ive learned) figured I could use that atleast for the gas to our chiropractor visits we needed while sleeping on the bed turns out it was just a gift card to the store to try get me to make another purchase. After spending about 10k in this store in the last 2 years wish I could return it all..... thank you for your reply I did call the number you provided and even the customer service knew nothing of an "option 2" as they research what this means and promise me a call back. You are more than welcome to call the morehead city store they maybe able to connect you to me easier than me calling the corporate office. I am more than happy to give you feedback that could possibly give your costumers a better experience

BEWARE! We ordered two loveseats and a matching sofa online. The order was fulfilled thru the MOREHEAD CITY PERFORMANCE GROUP LLC ( Morehead Ashley Home Goods Store / The Parrott Group, Inc) The modules were delivered to and assembled in our home. We were told by one of the delivery personnel that everything was good, took photos and left. After sitting on the loveseats only a very short time our backs began to hurt and realized none of the bottom cushions were level which was causing the pain in our lower backs. After MANY repeated calls and waisted hours on the customer service number provided a very nice technician was sent to our home to inspect furniture. It only took him a few minutes to confirm that the modules were defective and he was recommending they be replaced. Since we are paying almost $10K we did not want to own DEFECTIVE or REPAIRED furniture ( this is what outlets are for ) so we requested a refund or exchange be done. We we then informed that NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES is the policy when ordered online and home delivered. So far no repair or replacement of defective modules has be forthcoming. I guess we will have to ask friends and family to stand when they come to visit us in our new home. So here we sit (but not on our furniture) waiting.....BEWARE!

I am so unhappy with my purchase. I ordered furniture for my new house. Delivery day came and they had actually forgotten one of the bed frames. They also forgot the hardware for my bed to put it together when I paid for delivery and for the furniture to be put together. They said that I would have to call customer service to get it. I call customer service and they say that they will send out the hardware pack and have someone put my bed together as well as deliver the bed frame they forgot. It took over a month to get the bed frame they forgot and when they sent out the hardware pack for my bed they only sent out 2 screw caps and not the actual hardware pack. I call customer service again and tell them what came in the pack and they start to argue with me that they sent out the pack. This is ridiculous. I spent $8,000 at their store and they are arguing with me over screws! I am so unhappy with my purchase and the customer service, I would never recommend anyone to go here. I was left waiting over a month for a frame they forgot and am still left with an unfinished bed thanks to them.

It took a while to get my furniture and that's understandable. But I paid extra to get it delivered upstairs. And when the guys got here they couldn't take the dresser upstairs. I get off work and me and my wife had it upstairs in 15 minutes. Called about some type of refund and no response yet. It's been about 3 weeks now. I'll WAIT 🤦

Low key shopping experience, not pushy but we were greeted right away and checked on while browsing. I had been shopping for a loveseat for some months and found exactly what I wanted in the store. The only problem was that I ordered it in November 2021, was told it would be "2-4 months, but likely about 8 weeks", and didn't arrive until mid-April 2022. Five months waiting. The delivery was easy and quick; the assemblers were polite and worked fast. (in and out within 15 minutes). So far I'm pleased with the Beaconfield dual power reclining loveseat purchased.

Mary Margaret is our go to sales person and she goes out of her way to help when buying new furniture. We bought a new leather sectional and with all the shipping and manufacturing issues it was supposed to take between 2-3 mos. Mary Margaret staying in touch with us to let us know updates and when the delivery date got slid back again she arranged with the manager for us to buy the floor model sectional even though they usually don’t sell floor models. She was so helpful with all our needs and will be the person we go to when we buy again.

Ordered a couch and bed frame in December 2021 for delivery in mid March 2022. Couch arrived broken, see pictures. Not from their delivery team, I’m not sure who’s in charge of QC but they should get someone else. And no bed frame or update on when that would be delivered. I called, they said they would send us the replacement part in 7-10 days and have a tech come out within 72 hours…. Part arrived, I called on 29th, they said they would contact me within 72 hours.. they did not… so I called April 2nd today to schedule it. The customer service rep Chandler was very helpful, unfortunately she couldn’t contact the store so I was left with an email sent and still waiting on a tech to even be scheduled. Also asked about the bed frame, chandler informed me it is now expected to be delivered by end of April… wish someone would’ve told us that…poor communication all around.

Waited almost a year to get all our stuff finally just got our last piece for our bedroom customer service lacks a lot of things no one could seem to help me when I called but when my husband called things sort of got done but not really we’ve had a broken nightstand drawer since October no one seems to be able to help and keep saying they’ll send someone out they said in October a tech person would be out then in November and now still waiting for someone to come out to help I’m never shopping at Ashley’s again absolutely the worst experience me and my husband have had.

Mary and her manager were very kind to sell me a lift chair off the floor which is not their policy. I explained I was terminally ill and couldn’t come to the store. Mary forwarded photos and prices and explained what I needed to know. When I said I couldn’t wait for one to be ordered, she spoke to the manager who agreed to sell the floor model. Terrible. Ordered dresser and bed in January. Did not receive but dresser in April and Bed in May. Dresser was messed up. Bed bows out on left side. Repair folks could not fix dresser. Ended up getting halfof my money back versus waiting another 12 weeks for them to send me another defective product. They sent out a new dresser worse than the one I have. Did not let them take it off the truck.

I will never purchase from Ashley furniture again. The sales people are kind. Of course they would but the quality of service is terrible. They took 4 months to deliver the furniture understand that with the back M orders etc...but then when I got it the delivered the wrong piece. I'm like wow. Ask for assistance they are taking forever to pick the wrong piece up and refund my money. So if your looking for good quality service and good communication this would not be a place I would recommend. I purchased alot of furniture from them in bulk previously and the service still was terrible trying to get them to come out and fix furniture that I purchased in my furniture protection plan. Yea right. This company is a joke and doesn't care about the customers.

Do not order from here. I had to wait over 3 months for my furniture and it was finally delivered..BROKEN. Spent hundreds of dollars on this order and this is what I receive.

Horrible staff. *(SHORT HAIR BLONDE LADY)* I’ve been waiting fir a table for 2 months when it was about to get in my hour I receive a text that I’d have yo wait 3 more months. (They had my table in the store). Then I went there to talk to them and a short hair blonde lady was super rude. Saying i was not the only one that was waiting for a table and I haven’t waited for a long time. After that I requested for my money back and I got a table at furniture distributors that have a very humble and helpful staff.

James (sales manager) was awesome! He was not pushy or "salesmanish". James was very personable and made you feel like family. I now have a friend for life in James. Also the lady's at the front desk was very nice and very friendly as well! (However guys I still have not received my bed and can't get ahold of anyone at the store now). ITS BEEN almost a full month and not heard from anyone!

My furniture is great once I finally got it. My only complaint is no one has ever called me about delivery set up I have had to call each time to set it up myself. Still waiting on a piece now hopefully will be delivered soon. So to me customer service not so great.😠😠😠😠😠😠😠

I went to the Ashley Home Store in Morehead City to look and purchase a recliner. I looked through the selection and found one I liked. I asked about the recliner and the sales lady said that she would have to order it. To order it would take 8-12 weeks. She informed me that they had to order everything that they don't keep it in stock which disappointed me and definitely killed any sale now or in the future.

I was very disappointed in the service, or lack thereof, at the Ashley HomeStore in Morehead City. I am moving into a new home in a couple of months and thought it would be a good idea to start looking at the various furnishings I would need for it. I like to plan ahead and take my time on large purchases, so I thought I would go into Ashley's to see what they had to offer and figure out where I would land in my budget. Not a single associate acknowledged my presence. I wandered around the store, making several passes, sitting on sofas and chairs, opening cabinets, taking pictures of pieces I liked, as well as their price tags to keep track of what my options would cost, and at no point did anyone approach me to offer assistance. One associate was working with a couple in the store, while another duo of customers looked around on their own - although they were eventually checked on. The other customers were older, so I'm assuming that anyone who looks younger, such as myself, is simply ignored because it's assumed they aren't going to be buying. I was on the hunt for a nice sofa and armchair, a coffee table and a couple of end tables, nightstands, bookcases, lamps, and anything else that may have jumped out as useful or desirable. The store clearly missed a good opportunity to make some great sales. There were associates standing around talking to each other, others sitting behind desks, one even made eye contact with me at one point but gave no greeting and immediately looked away. Customers shouldn't have to hunt down an associate, especially when they've been made to feel uncomfortable to do so by the associates' cold demeanors. I work in retail management and if my entire team of associates and leads had ignored a customer in this manner you can be assured I'd be pulling all of them aside to coach them on better customer service behaviors. I'll be taking my money and patronage elsewhere from now on.

My salesperson refused to speak to me but texted me “this was too bad and all sales are final” They weren’t looking for any solutions...just excuses! BUYER BEWARE! NOT trustworthy. NOT professional. Every time we need to purchase a new piece of furniture we go see James Anderson at Ashley Furniture first. I am almost 60 years old and have struggled with pain for the past few years. It eventually forced me to forsake my bed and sleep only in a recliner. Although the recliner was large and fluffy, I am as well and it became evident that I could rest better in an over sized recliner. We visited the Morehead City, NC Ashley store after I consulted on the phone with Don, who was extremely helpful in helping me find the right chair. And he went above and beyond when I asked if he could help it get here faster in spite of the virus delays and he somehow had it here a few days after my request! This young man deserves a raise and this store obviously hires GREAT PEOPLE!

Recently purchased a sofa and and chair from Ashley furniture. My salesman don was very helpful and kept me informed through out the whole process.

Wonderful furniture and great customer service!

I came on board with this company as a Lead Customer Service Representative. Every single day from the first day I started there was nothing but back biting between staff. Guests were not being treated as they should and they were not kept in the know about their items. Guests would place 3k or even 5k orders and the sales reps would just hand them off to use after the sale was complete and tell the guests an eta but after that very rarely kept in contact with them so numerous guests complained and even cancelled their whole order. We started a spreadsheet to show when guests would call for their reps and the date and what they needed so that we could have a paper trail. Needless to say that didn’t help. I did everything I knew of to keep their guests up to par and satisfied and accomplished that. I was constantly told everyday not to send an email to this person or that person and it was for the simple fact they didn’t want it to get into the wrong hands that guests weren’t being taken care of. I came from a background of restaurant management with both my parents and it’s been instilled in me that you always go above and beyond for your guests. I was there 3 weeks and decided to leave due to the simple fact that I was unable to fulfill my duties of taking care of guests and trying to change the perception that people were constantly calling in and speaking about. I am not sure where this post will go but I really hope it gets to someone that can take care of what needs to be addressed with that location. I am more than willing to speak with someone regarding this if need be. Thanks so much!

Satisfied repeat customer! I love Ashely Furniture. The quality of their pieces is superb. BUT, most of all I love Ted. He's honest and helpful. I'm a bit particular and at times indecisive.Ted, who work in the Morehead City location, is the best that Morehead has to offer. I never felt rushed or obligated to make any purchases. He had so much patience with me. I totally trust him, thats mean a lot to me. There were times when I liked pieces that were more expensive but wasn't quite the quality I was looking for and Ted would encourage me to take a look at different sets, even if he'd lose a bit on the sell. That speaks volume to me. I've managed to complete a few rooms in my home with Ashley. AND, I'm not quite finish. I'm currently working on my entertainment room. Ted, is already on top of it. Very good customer service

I had trouble ordering online and I was able to talk to a representative in Morehead city who was able to take care of my order and have it sent to me. I feel very good that I am going to get it from a local distributor. I was looking at was from China. I have not yet gotten this item so I can come back and rate it later

Ted Gaskins was first class at the MHC Ashley Homestore! We purchased two sofas right before Covid, and Ted worked extra hard to ensure we got them when we needed them despite the challenges brought on by the pandemic. He was very knowledgeable and obviously had years of experience. We would use him exclusively in the future and suggest others do as well!

I have purchased furniture on two occasions at the Ashley Home Store. Mary Margaret in sales helped me each time. She is knowledgeable, and was able to answer all my questions as well as giving me helpful suggestions without me feeling pressured to purchase. Should I purchase in the future, I will always want the assistance of Mary Margaret.

When we looked for a new sofa recently, we looked at a few stores before going to Ashley Furniture but were disappointed with selection and especially the long wait for ordering - as much as 8 weeks We went to Ashley and were fortunate to be greeted by salesperson, Mary Margaret, who guided us through a great experience finding just what we wanted and were enjoying it in our home in 3 weeks. I highly recommend Ashley Furniture and Mary Margaret and will go there first when we are in need of any new furniture.

Stopped in to check out desks for home office. Typical furniture store, they jump on you the minute you walk in. There is no such thing as "just browsing", they have to follow you around. Sales women, yes I ended up with two of them, were very nice. I showed interest in the 60" Jonilene desk, which I was told was on sale for $370.00. I was only browsing remember but was then told I could get a deeper discount and get the desk for $350.00. I did not buy the desk but decided to look at it again online where I could purchase it for $315.00!! Do your homework people, furniture sales people most likely work for commission.

My daughters and I were there a couple of weeks ago looking for a couple of pieces for our beach house living room and were lucky enough to get Ted Gaskins as our salesperson. How lucky we were!! We left buying twice as much as we had intended to but had to when we saw how well the sectional sofa, tables, recliner and kitchen table went together we just had to have it all. Shopping in the Morehead City, NC store with my mom and sister for furniture for my mom's beach house at Atlantic Beach, NC. Ted met us right away as we walked in and asked if he could help us find what we were looking for. After telling him we were shopping for beach house furniture, he promptly lead us to the newest technology microfiber fabric sofa and recliners. This new technology is just right for this type environment. Durable. His suggestions were perfect for what we were looking for. He is knowledgable and informative, and was very patient with us as we asked questions and pondered the recliners that my mother would be comfortable in. I just recently moved back to Morehead City a few months ago and in this move I was starting all over again as far as purchasing furniture .I went to Ashley Furniture to just see what they had and my first impression was the friendly welcome they give you that being said my sales lady was Bobbi Pinier and I have to say it was my lucky day !!!! Bobbi was and is wonderful she helped me above and beyond.I had zero idea of the style I wanted and her patients with my forever changing decisions and my many visits to the store was always met with with kindness and ready to help me with my next changed decision never being frustrated with me always the same positive kind helpful attitude. Bobbi helped me furnish my entire apartment and her knowledge on what will fit appropriately in a space was amazing knowledge on her part because I could not envision how the furniture I picked out would fit and with her measuring and her knowledge of the furniture was a God send !!!!! That being said I now have an amazing beautiful furnished apartment that I love !!!!!!! Purchased furniture for our living room today from James. He is our go to guy at Ashley in MHC. He is always helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. We have been going to James for 6 years for all of our furniture needs. He is the best! We are always happy with the quality and prices of our purchases.

Had a very good experience working with Lucinda! She is friendly and helpful and even though there were many delays in the order she maintained a professional and courteous manner. She was knowledgeable about the products as well. I would recommend going to see Luvida the next time you are looking for furniture.

My husband and I ordered several big furniture items from this storm in Febuary during the Presidents Day sale. It is now April 25th and we still do not have all of our stuff. They have lost our stuff in their system twice now. We have talked to them probably 20 times over the last couple months and the customer service is some of the worst I've ever experienced. They are completely unwilling to work with me or try to make this better This is completely unacceptable and I will never buy anything from Ashley again after this.

Terrible experience. Furniture showed up two months later damaged. The replacement furniture showed up two months after that and one piece was damaged. I called four days in a row, no manager. I asked to be transferred to corporate and was not. I was give. Several different numbers and no one picked up. I was redirected several times from number to number. I asked for a survey to be sent to me and no survey was sent. Ashley furniture will never have my business again. The manager did nothing to try and make things right. Buy elsewhere! They will just waste your time.

I absolutely love my experience I’ve had with this place!! James Anderson was so helpful with me furnishing my entire new place and we did it within my budget!! We had a blast shopping together!! Today my furniture was delivered and I could not believe how quick and efficient everything had went. Albert and Joe were amazing! These two were quite the team and so friendly and professional the entire time with smiling faces. I live on the third floor and they got the job done!! Great deals got a new island for my kitchen

I went in today with hopes of getting a new sectional and kitchen table. The person who helped us was Don aka DJ. He was wonderful and so helpful! He helped me pick the perfect sectional and a cute pub style table! I'm extremely happy with my purchase and even more happy with the customer service I received! Thank you so much Don! I'll be back to get more soon!

We purchased a sectional couch and told it would be delivered Mid-December. Well a couple of weeks after we purchased the couch we get a text saying we won’t get the couch until Mid-January at the earliest now and we are not allowed to cancel the order either. Will not be shopping here again and do not recommend anyone else shopping there either.

The customer service in trying to get a set of furniture has been very poor. There has been no follow up to make sure that the furniture is delivered. The number to the Kinston furniture distribution center does not work to when it is called back. When trying to get a worthless showroom warranty removed from my purchase I was told that someone would call me back. Still waiting for that call. (Because apparently Hurricane Florence damaged the showroom set I purchased but had yet to be delivered 2 weeks later. Did anyone contact me about this? No. I only found out when I called Customer Care to find out where my furniture was.). BEFORE the sale, they are right there on your bumper but AFTER the sale, nothing. I am still waiting for my furniture to be delivered 2 months later. I am quite unhappy with the customer service from Ashley and will most likely steer clear of purchasing anything from them again. My one star rating is for the customer service. I have yet to receive the furniture so I cannot even rate that yet.

We purchased a table set for $1100-$1200 can't remember exact cost. Kind of a high price for a kitchen table but thinking it was going to be of high quality and last for years to come we were ok with it. Boy were we wrong within 6 months the finish started coming off the table. Called and they repalced it even though we had to take apart and take back to the store. About 3 months with the new table and bubbles has popped up on top of it. Now they won't replace it because they are saying it's water damage. Now you pay this much for a table that constantly has food and drinks on it you would think it would be of decent quality and moisture resistant. No it has a PARTICLE BOARD top on it. What a rip off. Ashley furniture will never get another dime from me.

My husband and I went into the Morehead city Ashley Furniture store this weekend looking for a new bed. The salesman James Anderson took care of us. I can't say enough about this sales man. He was not high pressure but had a huge knowledge base on beds. Buying a bed like an adjustable bed is a huge investment. James led us though the process of really choosing the correct bed for us. It was a great experience working with him and would highly recommend James if you are looking for furniture or a new bed.

We just relocated to New Bern, North Carolina from NY and needed to furnish almost our entire 2 bedroom apartment.. I had called the store before we even left NY because we were interested in a particular entertainment center and spoke with James. To say he was nice and accommodating would be an understatement! He gave me his cell number and told me to text him when we were coming and he would meet us. We did that and after exploring our financing options, we spent the next 4 hours picking out the most beautiful furniture! He guided us gently towards some incredible pieces and completely understood the overall look we were trying to achieve! Never pushy! Fun, funny and beyond knowledgeable about his inventory. Furniture shopping was never so much fun! We are absolutely thrilled with not only our selections, but with the outstanding customer service and hospitality we were shown by James and his staff! went into store sale associate told me that the bar stools we wanted would have to be ordered and would arrive in 2 weeks we would also have to pay $100 for shipping. I went online and purchased them they arrived in 2 days with free shipping. side note the store was running a 3 day 50% off sale the bar stools and most other items in the store were upcharged then marked down to appear to be great sale. the stools I bought online were $20 dollars less then the stools in store even after sale price. also the sale associates were acting like we were annoying if we asked detailed questions.

They own me money $199 but will not give me it b/c something abt ownership changed. I called talked to kelly she said she will call me back within 30 mins after 10 days no return call. i called back and talked with manager Jim Davis and he said their is absolutely nothing he can do for me and hung off the phone. when i called back his response was he need to get off the phone b/c he he has lots of important work to do. James Anderson was an absolute delight. From the beginning when my family (who were visiting with my husband and I) walked in the door; his greeting was friendly and his overall disposition was very welcoming. We were left to browse, but if I needed questions answered he was there without hovering. We originally came in to look at dining room sets, but after a discussion my husband and I decided to replace our living room furniture first. We made out with a coffee table, perfect sectional, and a recliner that fit my non electric requirement that my husband loved. I've never been to an Ashley's before, but I'll say this, if the remainder of the staff are half as helpful, knowledgeable, professional, and caring as James is...let's just say we won't do our shopping anywhere else from now on. Not to mention, he even aided my family (who live states away) on some furniture they were interested in as well! Very impressed! We will be going back for more!

I can't speak for everyone, but I personally have always enjoyed shopping and browsing through the Morehead City store. Ms. Bobbi Piner is super helpful and always willing to help with whatever your needs may be. She is honest, polite, and doesn't treat you like a car salesman by hovering over you and trying to push selling furniture on you. Most people know how much that can change/annoy or immediately stop you in your tracks from shopping. Bobbi is knowledgeable about the products and if she isn't familiar with certain things, she will definitely have that information if you ask her to help you. I don't know what Screw It and Ride is exactly talking about because Ashley Furniture INCLUDING Luvida has been great to my family and I when it comes to correct furniture arriving in a timely fashion. We recently wandered into Ashley HomeStore on a whim. We really had no intentions of buying anything. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by James who asked what he could help us with today . We explained we were just browsing . I purchased a living room, dining room, bedroom set with the help of James Anderson who made selecting the furniture a breeze with his vast knowledge of the products. We went to Ashley furniture store in Morehead City NC on 12/17/16. As soon as we entered we were approached by someone who introduced himself as James. He told us about the store and sales that we're going on. He left us to shop and came by periodically to check on us and answer questions. All staff were kind and friendly. The store has lots of options and and is clean and organized. It was a perfect shopping experience We placed an order for several pieces at a great price. Thank you James! I highly recommend that you ask for James. He is very knowledgeable and fun to work with.

Horrible service and a waste of time. Do not bother going there. They will tell you short delivery times and then change it after. I should have read these reviews first. I would rate 0 stars if I could.

Purchased a new dining room set in March. They delivered a damaged floor model without telling me. We again have to wait for a new table. I tell them next table will come in box without legs on. Besides the table doesn't fit through a door with legs on. They call and say my delivery choice is 6-8 pm on a Friday. They don't show until 9pm when we were shutting down for the night and they arrive wit a table assembled. Delivery guys says he seen where the order was a new still boxed table, but was told to deliver anyways. Love their products, but their customer service is absolutely the worst. Would give negative stars if I could.

I Kathy Godwin purchased the extended warranty for furniture that I purchased at this location. I was told that it would cover any problems with the furniture. NOT even though the salesperson as well as the brochure states it would cover a tear in the couch or recliner. Come to find out they never even registered my warranty with the furniture care. When I developed the problem they stated they did not because it was a manufacture problem/ Two things need to come out of this. The staff there need to be better trained and these people need to give me my extra 250 that I paid for the useless warranty Do not spend your hard earned money on nonsense and spend your tax dollars somewhere else OOO stars here

My husband and I made the unfortunate mistake of buying furniture from here. When we originally went in to look around we were told if we had to order, the furniture would be in in 4-5 business days. We went back to order our furniture and AFTER we had paid we were told it would be 5-6 WEEKS until we got it! We are currently using camping chairs in our living room for another month until we get it. If it wasn't for the 20% cancellation fee, we would cancel our order and get it from somewhere else!

The only reason to go here would be to pick out the furniture you want so you can go order it online at a much lower price and not have to deal with a jerk manager and salespeople trying to convince you that they have given you a giant discount today only because they met there margins earlier in the day. What a joke. That's why all the furniture has prices x'd out - so they can rip you off..

Rude sales representatives. Did not give me an option to order the sectional the way I wanted it and very hard to finance when me and my husband are both active duty military. Please do not shop here, its really too much of a hassle.

Extremely frustrating seeing as we had to wait over six weeks to receive our already bought furniture. We understood that it would take a few weeks from what the sales rep had told us but, after we didn't receive our furniture when we were originally supposed to and trying to contact the sales rep to find out where it was, he simply stopped answering his phone and returning phone calls. Never again will I shop at an Ashley's furniture store due to the horrible service at this one.

Please do not shop here!!! This has been the most frustrating purchase I have ever made. Horrible customer service and rude people. Purchased a couch... took weeks to arrive. Was never informed of anything... had to call several times just to find out when it was going to be delivered. Arrived with wood shattered. Unusable. It has been almost a month and the broken couch is still in my garage. No one contacts us. Finally, I was told that a repair company would come look at it. Repair company is refusing to come at a convenient time. They are asking my husband to leave work early so it is convenient for them. I just want this couch gone!!
