Ashley Store Shallotte, NC

I had the best experience in the Shallotte location today. When my family and I walked in, we were immediately greeted by Brian. I had already been on the website so I had an idea of what I wanted but explained to Brian that I wanted to look around before I purchased. He said that was great and to seek him out when I was ready. I appreciated that so much. I can’t stand pushy sales people and he was far from that. My family and I circled the store and decided on several pieces that we wanted. While he was totaling up our order, I decided against the night stands we were looking at so I walked over to where he was to tell him of my decision. When I walked over, an entertainment center caught my eye that my husband and I had missed. I then called my husband over and he immediately agreed that the one I just found was much nicer than the one we originally picked out. I then told Brian that we wanted to change our order and he politely obliged. While he was filling out the paperwork again for us, my husband and I noticed the dining set that matched the entertainment center and knew immediately that we wanted that one instead of the one that we originally picked. I apologized to Brian because I felt so bad that we changed our order again but he remained so accommodating and super nice about everything the entire time. I also should mention that we had our two small girls with us and they were not on their best behavior. Even through all the chaos, Brian remained polite, patient and kind. He was personable and made the entire experience seamless and efficient. He was absolutely amazing. I plan on buying new patio furniture next spring and will absolutely seek out Brian to assist us again! Thank you Brian for the best experience!

My husband and I went in today to look for a new couch, and we had the best sales rep ever! Libby was amazing ! She introduced herself and gave us our space to look around and see what we liked. We told her what fabrics and color we were looking towards, and she helped out. As we looked around the store, she still came by to answer any questions we had. We finally found the one, and she was a great help with helping us arrange the way we needed and explained every document very thoroughly. Highly recommend going to Ashley's and ask for Libby! She goes above and beyond but still lets you do what's best for you. Great experience!!

Do not buy from Ashley Furniture. I came home last night and my couch won't recline and the LED lights don't work. I paid extra for an extended warranty and wouldn't you know it ran out one month ago. Funny how the products work until the warranty expires and you have to pay extra to have someone come out and fix it. They won't get my business any more Update: found out my soda cup holders are on recall. Reginald has set up an appointment to get that fire hazzard fixed. He also set up a courtesy shippment of a power cord to replace the one I have which I'm sure will take care of the issue. Thanks Reginald

Lori at Ashley Furniture in Shallotte is THE BEST! She helped us furnish our new town home in Calabash with ease! She found us everything we needed with great sale prices, and she did over and above with scheduling our delivery within our limited schedule. We cannot thank her enough. My wife and I went in on 4/22/25 to purchase a bedroom set for our new home and had a great experience working with Loy. He was not pushy at all as some salespeople can be, was very gentle and sweet and helpful in our efforts to find a set we wanted. I hope that he gets recognized for his professionalism and kindness. Will certainly return to purchase future home furniture purchases

Deliver time promised and not delivered. Very rude managers like Lloyd and his boss Lisa or Lori. Do not give company your business.

I have bought a table set and couch from Ashley and had great experiences at the Wilmington location. However I would not come back to the Shallotte location. The sales men lied to me about quite a few things clearly in attempt to get a better commission for himself. I went back and worked with a female rep who was extremely more helpful and forthcoming. Everything she said was possible the gentlemen prior had told me was not. I chalked it up to one bad rep. However when we get the call to pick up our chair we were told the warehouse is just not open on Sunday. We arrive Monday to receive in my opinion attitude from the woman working in the warehouse saying we should have read our paperwork because it stated no pick up on Monday. I explained to her I never got paperwork and she said yes I did in my email. I double checked I did NOT ever receive any paperwork which I had thought odd to begin with. I didn’t appreciate her attitude and I even had explained when we received our call they said only Sundays they weren’t open. That didn’t matter to her. We are a paying customer and have bought from them multiple times. The whole experience was unpleasant and not called for. I won’t go back to this location.

Grace G... unbelievable. For once in a long time. First class customer service. She helped me with many questions and gave answers. Offered to even help when the delivery was here. Hey boss, she's a good one.

Update final review as of 9/27/2024 Furniture not delivered on the 21st, no surprise but communication did improve over the course of this whole situation. We did get the furniture on the 24th, which I must say is beautiful but an extremely long wait. We did get the coffee table from floor because if not we still probably wouldn't have it since this was the hold up. We did have the option to cancel the order but choose not to since it was so close to delivery. I can say that the 24th delivery was the final chance for the furniture. So over all how did Ashley do 1-Due to the communication improvement, I will add an additional star and bump it to a 3. Hopefully this review made a difference, and another customer won't have this issue moving forward. May they always keep the lines of communications open with the customer. 2- Delivery was awesome, fast clean and efficient. The men were polite, courteous and professional. A+ for them 3- As far as taking down the review like I was asked and was told it affects her livelihood. Sorry, I won't do that. This in my own opinion it is an honest review and saying it affects your livelihood will not guilt trip me into taking it down either. However, I did put the most recent review on TOP, should anyone choose to read the whole review can scroll on down, 4- Final opinion; will I buy something from Ashley Furniture again, NOPE unless I can carry it out the door. I did have to take out some of this review due to over the allotted characters allowed In the end everyone makes mistakes, lets learn from them and move forward with the experience and do better next time. Updates to this issue will be added below. Part of the original review Ashley Furniture in Shallotte NC still waiting for our furniture that we bought and paid for in full on July 3. Told 2-3 weeks, well that came and went with no communication at all from the store. We the customer had to called to see what was going on and told, oh another 2 weeks the manufacture bumped it out, ok we can deal with that. We understand things can happen. No further communication at all after that 2 weeks. Again nothing, total silence on your part. Called corporate on Sept 12 and found out what was going on due to the lack of communication on your part again from Your store in Shallotte. Told by corporate the items are leaving the manufacturing plant on Thursday the 19th and would arrive at your store the 20th and to call your store in Shallotte NC and get on the schedule for the Saturday 21st since you are closed on Sundays and Mondays. I call your store again after the call to corporate, told you when the furniture would be at your store to set up delivery for the 21st of SEPTEMBER, which by the way was told from Customer Care Center TO DO. I was told by Ashley Furniture in Shallotte NC, they had to look into it more by the store. They would call me back shortly, IMAGINE NO CALL BACK YESTERDAY. This morning needless to say I called corporate again, Sept 13, Friday no less, who are very nice I must say and HONEST, I am on the schedule for delivery the 21st. Update September 14 2024 I personally received a call from the store asking to consider taking down my review and corrected that I didn’t talk to corporate as originally stated, it was customer care center. I changed wording in original post to reflect that. Also delivery has been upgraded to white glove delivery and delivery set for the 21st with all pieces. Noted delivery could change and also at that time a final decision will be made to either keep items or cancel if it should be after the 21st.

Love the furniture, but was told 2-3 weeks for delivery. Been 10 weeks and no furniture and they are saying another 2 weeks. Talked to others with same story. Just be honest with your customers.

I just recently moved to the Calabash area and went to three different furniture stores !! Walked in Ashley Furniture in Shallotte NC and was greeted by Heather - she welcomed us and then gave us a little time to walk around! We ended up picking out living room suit - she was Awesome to deal with and handled everything efficiently and professionally- Came back a day later and bought a bedroom suit and then several other items - every step of the way she was Tremendous - They have great pricing - quality Furniture and amazing Staff - just like Heather !!! Also - their delivery and fantastic !! Will always use them for and future needs or recommendations !!!

Took longer than expected to receive goods. Continue to wait for a few pieces. Delivery guys were slick... Knew they had delivered a damaged piece and suggested that we keep it until the replacement. They made no note on the delivery ticket and rather had me sign it. In the hurriedness of all, I signed it without making note and they quickly departed. They seem to be very focused on leaving the damaged furniture behind and getting out of my home too quickly. I am very regrettable in that I should have returned the entire set and only accepted once all pieced were in good standing. It is a three-piece sectional of which we can only use two sections.

We can’t thank Libby enough for working with us from a distance to furnish our new home! Libby is reliable and caring and worked hard to have our furniture delivered within a narrow time frame. Ask for Libby to help you! She’s a rock star!!!

Lori the GM was exceptional. She met every expectation we had and more! We had a horrible experience at the Ogden Ashley furniture and went to the Shallotte one to hopefully find better service and we totally found it! Lori and the lady at the desk in the back (I totally forgot her name) went above and beyond with their kindness and customer service! We ended up getting a beautiful sofa and love seat and will be using Lori again for any other purchases we need!

My Husband and I did some research on some outdoor gliders and the prices and quality could not be beat at Ashley's in Shallotte. Heather guided us through the buying process, gave us discounts where she could, and made us feel confident about our purchase. She went above and beyond a sales person to work with us. We give her rave reviews and we are so happy to have worked with her at Ashley's. We will definitely be doing more business here in the future!

My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Ashley furniture in Shallotte. We walked in and Heather greeted us within minutes and she asked us if she could help us find anything, we gave her a very specific look we wanted and specific size. And within 1-2 minutes she had us sitting in our new sectional, I made my measurements and we figured it would fit. Got it delivered and it looks great in our living room. She was very knowledgable and also explained warranties to us, from start to finish and even delivery our entire experience was very pleasant and no stress at all. The most horrific experience - will never purchase from Ashley Furniture again. We have spent more than $10,000 at Ashely Furniture and 1 piece of furniture fell apart after only 9 months and they would not replace or repair. FOLLOWUP REVIEW Kristy with Customer Care went out of her way to truly understand our issue and what we expected. She was able to compromise and provide a solution that also satisfied out desire to continue as an Ashely Furniture customer. In fact, take any other alternatives off the list if outstanding personal service, exceptional quality, attention to detail, follow up and the like high on your list and expectations. This is especially the case if you're shopping in the Shallottee NC area. How do we know? We just moved to a new location and had bedroom, living room, dining room, intertainment furniture, rugs and even wall art met our total 5 star star expectations all at this Ashley store. The deliveries were professionally handled and on schedule. The management of this store is exceptional and if you need a perfect sales person to help you start with Brian Lloyd, although the entire staff is great. Don't forget the protection plans for what you buy. It's a no brainer and the best in the industry. It's great to be able to write a gushing review when frankly it's hard to have expectations met and exceeded these days.

10/10 recommend shopping here! The customer service is phenomenal! I was greeted and shown around the store by Loy who helped me find the bedroom suite I loved! When he wasn’t available, Jen stepped up and helped make the ordering process smooth! I needed my items in less than a week and she went out of the way to make sure my items made it to me in time! I would definitely shop here again thanks to the outstanding services extended to me!

Surprisingly the store was fully stocked from front to back with everything that you want . I didn't see sheets although ..I did see comforters and I think they may even sell sheets I don't know for certain. but I know they sell the comforters on the bed sets for display. I found what I was looking for four chairs beautiful and she gave me a good deal on them thank you for asking.

Just moved to Brunswick Plantation, went in there to outfit a 5 BR home, kitchen bar stools, family room, and dining room. NO ONE approached us, asked if they could help us, and barely looked in our direction. Oh well, sucks to be ASHLEY FURNITURE 25 Naber Dr, Shallotte, NC 28470....went to your competitor 25k later.....oh and the two people I was with, same situation just moved to BP......Lastly, you really get no stars, but I had to do one!

We moved into the in June 2022 and ordered bedroom furniture along with 3 new mattresses prior to Christmas. Had a great experience, be sure to ask for Loy as he is great to work with.

Ashley Furniture, I would like to tell you how good your salesperson, Kristine, is. She is very knowledgeable of your product lines, while making me comfortable purchasing from Ashley Furniture. Because of that, I would come back when I am looking for additional furniture.

For this review, I am reviewing Kristine. She was amazing to work with through the whole process. I was purchasing furniture for two entire households, and it was a bear of a purchase to say the least. Her attention to detail was a huge asset in getting my exact needs met and she was flexible and easy to work with when my needs changed. Kristine kept in touch for the entire period and was proactive in assisting me when a piece of the furniture became discontinued. From the beginning to the end (the final piece was delivered Saturday), she has been engaged, honest and forthright with information and helpfulness. I have NO complaints about Kristine. I would work with her 100 times over, and highly recommend her for any purchases that you select from Ashley in Shallotte. Regarding Ashley furniture, I was not impressed with the manager of the store, the warehouse department or delivery. During our purchases, it was clear that that the manager of the store was unaware of how credit scores are calculated. Following purchase, the warehouse employees, one in particular, became very annoyed with me about rescheduling due to a delay in the closure of my home which was out of my control. In fact, the warehouse "gave" one of my pieces to another customer in the meantime of my initial delivery date and the actual delivery date, and when it was time to deliver my furniture, it was magically "gone" and I had to wait for delivery of another piece even though I proactively placed my order over 6 months in advance to prevent this very event from happening. When directly asked about the magically disappearing table, I was told that it was never in stock (which was untrue since it was confirmed two weeks prior that was it in stock in the warehouse waiting delivery) and that according to this employee, the warehouse does not keep a record of where each piece of furniture is delivered!?!?!? Another laughable lie. This same employee, on this phone call, informed me that at 2pm EDT, no supervisors work during this time. Surprisingly, about 15 minutes later, this employee was able to find a supervisor to actually reschedule my delivery of the missing magic table within the week. When delivered, one of the bed panels were damaged. The company was proactive on getting this repaired. The couches would not fit up the stairs and the delivery guys did not bring hoists or any other items to assist in alternate moving methods. During the initial delivery, they scratched my BRAND NEW floors. The scratches were in two sections of the house, and the scratches in the living room were approximately 2 feet in length. The head delivery guy (who is contracted out) took photos of the damage and said he would report it. Guess what, he didn't report it! When I spoke to customer service, they knew about the damaged bed and that the delivery guys left part of the couches in the garage. They had no report of the damaged floors. However, customer service seemed very concerned and have said they are actively working on the problem. It is yet to be determined what the solution will be.

Brian greeted us at the door, explained the sales and then let us do our thing. When we where ready Brian assisted us to make the sale. We bought two pieces during this outing. If we come to Ashley Shalotte we will only deal with Brian.

Loy and Sherri were awesome!! They provided outstanding service professionally and were very pleasant to work with!! We would return for future purchases.

Our expeeience at Ashley's was made to be a good one ,through the great help of Loy making sure we got everything we needed for our new home and left happy on all our choices!!! Thanks to Sherri as well, in assisting the purchases.

My husband and I are moving into a new home and needed to purchase new bedroom furniture. After spending a day shopping, our last stop was Ashely Furniture in Shallotte. Jen T greeted us at the door with a freindly smile. She let us take our time to shop and was not hovering over us. She checked on us to see if we had any questions, and when we did Jen was very helpful and informative. Jen was exteremely helpful and took the time to make sure we got extactly what we needed at the best price. The whole experience was wonderful. The entire staff was great. The place to go is Ashely's in Shallote and make sure you ask for Jen.

Amazing service and options! Found a gorgeous couch for an unbeatable price! Brian went out of his way to provide exceptional service and helped us find exactly what we were hoping for and more! Made certain we were getting not only a great quality couch, but also the best deals! 100% recommend!!

My husband and I were lucky enough to work with Jen T. who was so helpful in guiding us through the store pointing out furniture that fit our needs, and knowledgeable about discounts, promotions, deliveries, inventory, you name it. She spent a lot of time with us, was patient (and didn't hover!) and answered all our questions. Helped us with delivery times as we didn't live in NC at the time of purchase. Besides Jen T., Sherry was also there for us every step of the way. Delivery was an issue (not their fault!) and they jumped on the problem immediately and got everything resolved. The store itself is well stocked with a nice selection of merchandise, well lit, prices are excellent and everyone there made furniture shopping a pleasureable experience. We couldn't be happier and will be shopping there again, and when we do, will ask for Jen!

Poor customer service from the General Manager and the people delivering the furniture. The sales lady was very nice. It took awhile to get the furniture, which was to be expected with supply line issues. You would think the general manager would show some sort of compassion for people waiting 8-10 months for there furniture. The icing on the cake was the furniture being left on the porch. I will never be back at a Ashley Furniture store, especially the one in Shallotte.

I went in the store this morning and found the PERFECT couch. I was helped by Jimmy who was very friendly and helpful without any pressure to look at other items or add-ons. Once we finished the purchase I was helped at the sales counter by Heather who was delightful and so sweet. This was such an enjoyable experience I wanted to share. I will absolutely by back to buy more furniture!

Ashley furniture store in Shallotte is an exceptionally well kept and clean furniture store with very friendly staff. I have shopped at the store for years and always get what I feel is a fair deal unlike add some other furniture stores in Wilmington. During my last trip I worked with a sales person named Loy who took the time to explain features and options with each piece of furniture that we had questions with. The front desk staff (Heather) was also kind and helpful with any questions I had regarding Warranty etc. Heather exemplifies what good customer focused service should look like. I highly recommend using the store for any of your furniture needs. My only complaint is that it will take 2 months or so to get my furniture. I will not reduce this stores star rating however, for the company I would only give 4 stars due to this issue. As a sidenote, unlike my nightmare dealings with warranties at Rooms to Go which is the reason that I refuse to shop there anymore. When I did have an issue with two pieces of Ashley furniture a few years ago they honored their warranty without any questions or hassle. This is one of the reasons Ashley is the only furniture store I actually trust and the only location I actually trust is the Shallotte location.

I was reminded that they are a showroom and everything needs to be ordered and right now there are uncertainties as to when to expect delivery. I was able to take the table with me after manager approval. Nice people.

Great quality furniture and very friendly service!!!

Ordered a couch in July. Told it “could” take up to 8-14 weeks for delivery. I’ve had to call for my own updates, no one has taken time to reach out. Here we are October and I’m being told now “hopefully” I’ll receive it by the 2nd week of November. I understand times are hard when no one wants to work the pandemic but just wow… well over 14 weeks… over 3 months to receive a couch. So if you are looking for furniture before the year is out I would not recommend .

You can have it...I'm done...been to the Shallotte NC store 4-5 times in the 6.5 years I've lived here and yet to ever buy anything there

Fantastic experience with Manager Jim Arnold. I stopped to look for some outdoor dining furniture and Jim was terrific from the first greeting through delivery. I had had "meh" to "poor" engagements in some other Ashley stores, so wasn't sure I wanted to try. But they had a set I was interested in. Jim was great about explaining the features and Ashley's quality commitment. I was so impressed that I ended up buying an adjustable mattress from him too. And then so pleased that a few months later I bought a full set of furniture for a guest bedroom. And just today bought a coffee table set. Jim, his customer service and professionalism of the team have been the reason I have come back three times now. My only disappointment was when Jim wasn't able to help me with an "online only" outdoor coffee table - a shame the .com part of the business won't let the store managers have access to build the customer relationship. But 5 Stars to Jim and Ashley Shalotte!

We went into Ashley and instantly got help from Jimmy. He was so nice and he showed us the perfect bedboard. We were in and out in probably about 15 minutes.

Our sales lady was Lori and she was AMAZING! She was so knowledgeable and kind. She was able to help so much with which colors and patterns would look well together. If you are looking to buy anything from Ashley absolutely ask for Lori to help you and you wont regret it.

Overall, a great experience with this store. As new homeowners, we were anxious for our beautiful new items. When COVID-19 caused significant delays, the store worked with us to make it right. The staff is very friendly and helpful. All of our items arrived exactly as expected and the quality is great. We will definitely use this location of Ashley HomeStore again and again.

By far the most horrible experience I have ever head with purchasing furniture with cash! The staff at the Shallotte North Carolina location or number one… Incompetent… Unprofessional… And poorest excuse for salesman that I have ever seen in my life.Schedule delivery was a month late… And then when the merchandise finally arrive to the warehouse, scheduling staff refused to accommodate my schedule, even after me waiting for over a month to receive items that I paid cash for. All the while other deliveries of my same items that were financed after mine were delivered. They have lost any hope of receiving any future business from me or any of my friends that I can convince take their business elsewhere. I have never wished ill will on any companies or their employees… But I can say with this experience I sure was awful close.

Staff never spoke or ask if we needed any help No price tags on sofas. Very disappointed. One man in a yellow shirt looked at us, turned around and walked away. We were the only two customers in store. We'll try Wilmington store next time we are in that area Hope they are better than Shallotte.

We visited the store on January 11, 2020, to look at bedroom suites for our granddaughter. We were greeted by Jimmy, a salesman, and since we wanted to look around he told us he would be willing to help us with any questions we had. After we looked around we asked him questions about bedroom furniture. He answered all our questions in great detail. We wanted to think about the furniture we were looking at so we asked for a business card and thanked Jimmy for his time. We went back the following week on Sunday, January 19, 2020 and talked with Jimmy further and purchased the bedroom suite. After signing the paperwork we were greeted and checked out by the clerk Julia. She was very accommodating as well. I enjoyed our time at Ashley furniture and would do business with them again. Thumbs up to salesman Jimmy and clerk Julia.

We went to Ashley's Furniture in Shallotte for two days in a row. Both days Pat helped us past the closing time of 7pm, never complained or tried to rush us. She was extremely helpful and went above and beyond. Very personable, couldnt ask for anyone nicer or more professional. Ashley's has a true gem.

I've purchased from Ashley's before but this time was interesting. We ordered 2loveseats from a sofa/loveseat set along with the tables that were with the set in the showroom. A glitch with phone numbers made delivery a bit of a slow process but understandably. When we received the delivery we were so excited. Since we were donating our previous set up the room was crowded but the guys set us up and literally just as the departing truck turned the corner we realized that we had accepted delivery of 2 COUCHES not Loveseats!! Jumped on the phone immediately to address the situation. Fretting we had to wait for the call back. I'm thrilled to say they couldn't have been much more accommodating. Within 10 days we received our beautiful leather loveseats and they removed the couches. No problem. I am so pleased. We've had nightmare experiences with other furniture companies but Ashley earned the 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 (I leave out the 5th 🌟due to the write up error) and 👍👍.

Ashley Homestore not only has the most beautiful furniture and prices, the staff is excellent! Loy showed us different pieces of furniture we were looking for, and he kept looking until we found exactly what we wanted. Loy was so considerate, kind, respectful, and friendly. He offered different kinds of financing options, he took us to meet Kristen, a customer service representative, who is just the sweetest young woman, beautiful smile, so kind, patient. Loy and Kristen went above and beyond to help us with financing. They both spent close to an hour helping us, Loy stayed with us during this time, he didn't leave us to start helping another customer. Kristen was typing her fingers off, making calls, she smiled the whole team. We were talking to Loy and he completely understood what we were going through. My hats off to store manager Joe Smith and his customer service at the Ashley HomeStore in Shallote, NC. I purchased two matching sofas from the store and they were delivered three days ago with the one completely busted, most likely the fault of the third party delivery company, not Ashley. Even though it is the second best selling sofa on his floor, he agreed to give me the floor sample so I would have both sofas for company coming this weekend. This will hurt sales since he won't be able to show it until he gets a replacement, but customer service came first and my family will have a place to sit! I love my new sofas and I applaud his great customer service!

The staff in this store are the best. They are helpful and very knowledgeable. I purchased several rooms of furniture here for our new home and was happy throughout the entire process. Jim helped me pick out several things he could not have been nicer. We ran into a little problem with a couple of outdoor chairs and Joe Smith got right on it and got the problem solved. It was nice to see they stand behind their product. Kristen answered all of my questions and Joe saw to it that our chairs are getting replaced. Ashley HomeStore always has a really nice collection of furniture, and the toughest part is deciding which pieces to buy because I want them all! Recently we purchased a dining set, mattress set, end table, stool, and coffee table from Lori at the Shallotte store. We gave her our wishlist, and thought we would have to pick and choose what to get now verses later; however, Lori gave us such great prices, that we were able to get them all! Customer sales associate Kristen was also helpful in finalizing the purchase. We highly recommend Ashley HomeStore for your home!

Horrible place for furniture

This has been the worst experience buying new furniture! We ordered a new sectional and we were told it would be in at the end of March. We finally got it today and it is May 4. I understand things happen and it doesn't always go as planned. Things got worse when we got home with the new sectional and found out that the main couch was busted to hell and back. It was obvious that it was dropped from very high for it to be broke as bad as it was. So now we have to wait 3 more weeks for the new piece to come in. Things only got worse when I got home and my wife and I were putting the 2 pieces we do have together so we have something to sit on only to find another piece has a tear and the nails are coming out. It looks like a 3 year old built it. This will be the last time we buy anything from Ashley Furniture in Shallotte.

Had a great experience with Bethany in Shallotte! She was very helpful and knowledgeable without being pushy. She let us shop without hounding us. Once we found what we wanted to purchase, the purchase process was quick and easy. Thank you Bethany and to the check out staff. Everyone was professional and courteous. Nice selection of furniture

Sometimes you get great customer service from a store then it falls apart when an after-sale problem is encountered. I am pleased to say that the customer service by Ashley when I discovered two small spots (looks like ink) on a new sofa the day after delivery, has been perfect. They apologized and offered a replacement that will be delivered soon. I look forward to future shopping at Ashley.

I went in looking for a king size bed frame and headboard . An associate was standing at the door when I entered. He asked 'how can I help you?' I told him what I was looking for and he told me to look around. I was expecting him to show me what they had and to help me. But, he didn't. I proceeded to look around the store and not one associate came to assist me or to help me at all. I thought that was so rude and I was upset that no one helped at all. So,I left and will not be going back.

We had just moved to NC & went shopping for new furniture. We selected a kitchen set & bedroom website. When delivered the kitchen table was broken& the bed set was repaired& was of poor quality. We went to the store &!spoke to Kristin who was very helpful & said they would make us happy. We then made an appointment to speak to Joe Smith. He also told us to try & find a bedroom set that would make us happy We did & Joe made sure that we were happy & felt that our business was important to them. We know that they had nothing to do with the condition of the furniture of the furniture that was delivered but they made it their mission to make us satisfied customers. I would say that Joe & Kristin were outstanding in their customer service Kristin& Joe made it their mission to make us happy.

Never a big fan. Furniture looks nice but quality surely is not good. Sales person was just okay. The prices were just okay, they seem cheaper then most, which falls in line with the quality of their furniture which again is not good.

I’ve ordered furniture twice from Ashley. The first time was several years ago to furnish an entire home I bought at The Farm at Brunswick. Upon showing the home it became an important point to buyers - they loved the furniture so much they wanted to purchase it furnished! Now that my new home is ready I’m back at Ashley - looking forward to having all my beautiful furniture delivered this weekend. I can’t say enough about the professionalism of Kristen. She made sure everything went right and provided regular updates. She made everything stress free! If you need home furniture Ashley in Shallotte is the place to go.

Very high prices.

Customer service was great from entering the store to taking payment. The problem was furniture has not come in to be delivered. This was promised to be delivered in two split deliveries with one being the last of November and then the remainder on December 3rd. It’s now December 9 and have received nothing. Repeated calls and the promise of a callback for confirmation delivery and that never happens. This was a cash purchase of a bedroom and living room suite and was purchased due to promise of delivery. This review is based on experience to date. If delivery and attempt of service recovery changes my review I will edit above.

Too pricey

For 2 months I got the run around about my furniture, was lied to and givin excuse after excuse. Traveled 800 miles to pick it up because it was supposedly in stock and if not I could take the floor model. Now Ashley new we were coming there today, and not only did they not have anyone to load our truck they lied to us about giving us the floor model. They treat customers terrible not to mention cussing. They lost a 8000 sale because of there incompetence, I will never recommend them nor will I buy from them ever. Just be aware. This store gives Ashley a bad name.

We most likely wont be ordering furniture from this place anymore. 2 for 2, things have been messed up. Told 2 weeks for product to come in, but have to wait 5 weeks. Before that, delivery was a nightmare and took weeks as well.

Jimmy Williams the salesman I worked with was so very helpful and knowledgeable. He did not hover over me so I could browse and think on my own. However he was readily available when I needed him. Kristen McMillan, was also genuinely friendly and helpful to answer all my questions and concerns. Thanks to you all for a positive shopping experience.

Sales people were very helpful delivery people were respectful of your furniture and home. Receiving furniture took several trips. They have been to our home twice and we still don't have all our furniture.

My wife and I recently moved to Ocean Isle Beach and needed to furnish our home. We heard about Ashley's from the previous owner. The sales people at Ashley's were not pushy and only intervined when asked. We purchased a living room set, with table set. Also purchased were a bedroom set, wall paintings and four accent pillows. After setting up the living room we found that the table set really didn't fit well. A call to Ashley's to explain the situation and there was no problem. "Just come on in and pick out something you'd like and we'll give you store credit for the set". The delivery also went well and arrived within the time-frame agreed upon. Very overpriced

We recently purchased a new living room set at the Ashley Furniture in Shallotte NC. Everyone in the store was very friendly and helpful. Loy was great! He was very knowledgeable but not pushy. Loy went above and beyond to help me find the right chair and table set to match our new sofa! Highly recommend!

The customer service provided by Bonnie (shipping and scheduling) and Kirsten (at the store) is amazing! First, we couldn’t accept delivery of our furniture after Tuesday morning, because we going out of town. Friday night, we received a message that delivery would be between 5 and 8 PM on Tuesday! I called the store the next morning to speak with Bonnie and was told that she didn’t work on weekends. I explained my situation. I received a call on Sunday from Bonnie saying that I would be the first delivery on Tuesday! The store got hold of her and she worked the weekend to help us! Magic! The furniture arrived- 2 couches, 2 chairs and an ottoman. The was some slight damage to the chairs. The delivery folks took careful pictures. I called Bonnie and told her, but also explained that the chairs were way too big for my living room! She had me speak with Kirsten at the Shallotte store to approve getting different chairs. Kirsten was so helpful! She said that I could ask for her when I came to the store to select new ones. While there, I found the perfect sofa and chair ensemble and asked if I could change my entire order. She said that she couldn’t approve it, but gave me a phone number to speak with customer service. She stood there as I called and helped to explain. Now, I’m anxiously waiting for my new matched set! Kirsten and Bonnie were so helpful! Thank you, Ashley Furniture for having such pleasant and professional employees! And, thank you to Bonnie and Kirsten and the delivery men for going above and beyond to help me!

Very disappointed. Received in the mail a coupon for 25% off. Got to the store and even with the coupon prices were higher than what you could get at Ahley Homestore online.

Jimmy is great to work with. The young lady in the office (I am sorry I did not get her name) was fantastic they both were great to work with. We have been shopping for weeks will not go anywhere else....

This was a great experience buying furniture. We were greeted at the door, assisted, given plenty of time to look around etc. No pressure. Pros and cons given to all of our possible choices. Discounts given at the purchase time. Jimmy was an outstanding salesman. Knowledgeable and sincere. We love our new leather couch and rocker recliner. Ready for some football!

Great store,large variety and selection

From the time we walked in and were greeted by Jimmy G we knew we had made the right decision for the place to furnish our home. The selection and prices were amazing, and we found all we were looking for. The manager Joe was more than helpful and went above and beyond when we had delivery issues. We are very satisfied customers and have returned to make 2 additional purchases so far. We highly recommend This location for everything from furniture to decor.

Why would I buy anything from a store that has cars with signs just driving around and polluting the atmosphere.

Why would I purchase furniture from a company who has people ride around town constantly with signs on their car clogging up traffic it's sending extra emissions into the atmosphere for no reason makes no sense to me wouldn't buy anything from this place

If I could give zero stars I would. We bought an outdoor patio set last July. We kept it in our screened in porch, out of direct sunlight & by October the cushions had all faded. We have spent 6+ months trying to get the cushions replaced. We received 3 in March, 3 in June & now we’re being told the last 2 will arrive in August! We have made countless phone calls & sent many emails to try to resolve this and we’re constantly getting the run around. We were told we would be getting an entire new set (never happened) then we were told we were getting 6 cushions in June (never happened). Most frustrating & disappointing customer (lack of) service that I have ever encountered.

Absolutely the worst customer service ever i will NEVER do business with them again a month later and my furniture is still not here after being given multiple dates on top of that they expect me to pay a delivery fee I’m definitely reporting this company to the better business bureau after this experience

This has been the worse experience of my life dealing with this store. I am a 68 year old handicapped person who has been through the mill with this Ashley store. Ignored by the store manager and treated rudely by the office manager. I purchased furniture paying $99 for delivery to my apt. 4.8 miles from the store. A week later I decided to purchase a new mattress for my bed. I was told I would have to pay another $99 for deliver or hold my other furniture for 2-3 weeks. I then asked about taking away the old mattress and was told they couldn't do that. Beauty Rest was offering a "free" box spring but they were not participating in the promotion. I was concerned about these issues but they were asking for my credit card and moving forward without giving me time to think about the ramifications of purchasing with them. I asked the sales clerk to at least throw in a free mattress pad. They did. Then they separated the $150 for a mattress pad from the mattress and took my card and ran it. On TV I saw a commercial from Ashley Furniture for the promotion of a king mattress for the price of a queen. The next day I heard an advertisement for the free box springs from Beauty Rest but i would use my old box springs and not worry about it. By the next day I realized that this was going to be a horrific logistical nightmare. I had no one to pick up the mattress, no one wanted the old mattress without a box spring, there was no one I could get to haul off the old mattress. I was so frustrated with the whole thing that I didn't even want the mattress anymore. For 2 days I called the store and asked for the manager and was told that he wasn't in that day. On the next day, my daughter called and asked for the manager and again was told he wasn't in. She requested that he give her a call right away. They said he would call on Monday. Instead the sales clerk called me that afternoon. I told her about the Ashley corp. ad and the beautyrest ad. That this whole process was overwhelming to me and if they couldn't do more to help me with the logistical problems then I didn't even want the mattress. She said she would call me the next day. I did not receive a call from her nor did my daughter get a call from the store manager. So the following day I called for the store manager again and was told he wasn't there and could I talk to the office manager. I said ok. She informed me that she never heard of the Ashley advertisement.. She let me know that Ashley stores are individually owned and this is why they don't have to participate in any advertised promotions. I sited that Sears and US Mattress and others had the same mattress that included the box springs, delivery, hauling away of old mattress and a 120 day guarantee that you are satisfied with the mattress and would include a "free" mattress pad for almost the same amount. They are including so much more for free that makes it easier for me to buy a mattress. I told her, I can't find anyone to come get it and the only person who wants the old mattress would need for me to move it and provide a box spring. I told her it was becoming a nightmare. She responded, I think you and I both know that NOTHING IS FREE. I said yes, but it is inclusive in almost the same price to me without the nightmare of logistics! She became rude and said when I signed the papers, on the back was the policy of cancelling in 24 hours. I told her I had been trying to cancel this for days. She became very rude and told me that was just too bad. I hate this store and I now hate the very mattress I am paying $1,665.00 for, plus approximately another $200 or more to try and find out a way to get it and get rid of the old one and I still have to use my old box spring! I spent over $3000 with them and the only customer service I received was rudeness and condescending attitude. Whatever you do, don't buy anything from here. I looked up over 10 different places to buy a mattress for almost the same price but you get delivery, haul away, a box springs, and a 120 day trial to make sure you like it. Buyers beware...

I can't even give this company 1 star but in order to share my horror story I had to give them a star! I purchased a lift chair for my husband as he is a partially disabled veteran. Less than a year after spending close to $1000 on this chair both motors quit working. I was instructed by the store personnel to contact their service department since the chair is under factory warranty rather that use the Protection Plan I also purchased. After trying for days to get someone to answer the phone, the store personnel finally sent an email to the service department, who finally called me back. I was told that they would ship the motors to my home and I could then call back and schedule someone to come and install them. After 2 more weeks we still have not received the motors. I called the service department back and was told that they entered the incorrect store for my purchase and the motors had not been shipped. I can't in good conscience recommend this company if you are interested in good service. This is our second purchase from this store. (I won't go into the details on that one!) The first experience was no better! Beware! 6/22/18 After seeing the response from the "owner" i called the number that was given in the post. After getting shuffled from one person to another I was told that they (Furniture Repair Specialists) were attempting to contact me to set an appt. for 6/25. The message I received from the Repair people said they would be in my area on the 26th, not the 25th. I have left messages trying to confirm the appt. for the repairs to be made, but as of yet have had no response. One positive though - we did finally receive the motors! 7 weeks and counting for this repair. That's what I call customer service!

We haven't received our furniture yet which is supposed to be in 3 weeks. Hopefully it arrives in a timely manner

I had earlier visited another furniture shop and after standing there for a good 20 minutes while being ignored l walked out. Upon leaving l was asked in a concerned manner if there was anything l was interested in and l replied thank you.....l waited long enough and l knew for sure that there was a furniture store in Shallotte that would love my business.....and they did! Just loved the attention we received from the moment we walked in. Jim Arnold was very helpful. We never felt pressure to buy. Yesterday we went all over looking for a living room and dining table for our new home Today I was pleased with the selection. We had an idea of what we wanted. Jim showed us several options knowing of our Bull Mastiff and how he enjoys cuddling with us on the furniture. We plan on shopping for other things as we get a little more settled.

Ever body was great , there was no pushing or trying to sell us something that we really didn’t want, Pat Forry was very nice and took great care of finding exactly what my daughter wanted. All furniture is cheaply made and does not last! You will pay a fortune for junk! Stick to Badcock Furniture-real furniture that is mad to last and reasonably priced.

An amazing place. The service was amazing. We worked with Loy and he was sweet and not pushy like sales people could be. Yes the prices are more than Babcock, but the products are better and the service tripled Babcock. Please if you are a Babcock customer, stop and visit Ashley Furniture. You will not regret it. My husband and I went to Ashley looking to replace damaged furniture under warranty. Joe Smith, the store manager, went out of his way to help us find what we needed/wanted. It was near closing time and never once did he look at his watch or seem to be bothered by this. He and the staff gave superb customer service and I would recommend this store to everyone!

She gave me and my husband our space but was right there when we had questions and knew exactly what she was talking about. My husband and I decided to visit the Shallotte store to purchase some pieces of bedroom furniture to match the bed we got over 3 years ago from the same store. It took us less than 20 minutes to find the exact bed and order a night stand and media chest Jimmy Williams greeted us and explained the ordering and delivery process in an "easy to understand " manner. I went to Ashley's with high hopes. My boyfriend and we're on a mission, a mission from God. We were looking for tables. But not just any tables, oh no. We needed the right tables. 48" was the measurement for our breakfast nook and not an inch less would do. We wanted something simple yet sturdy and classy. Something that says " I'm expensive. Don't sit ur baby on me". And boy did we find it. As we walked through the door we linked up with our mission commander. Her code name was Pat. When it comes to furniture Pat knows the ins and outs. With Pat at the helm we set out searching high and low. She would whip out her tape measure and give me the news. It was like having my favorite grandma helping me shop. I knew I was in good hands. After several trips around the store pat has an idea." Come with me" she says. "How about this color". At this point I'm intrigued. My boyfriend and I follow her to the kiosk. She shows us the 48" Porter oval table. I said to myself "this is going in my breakfast nook". We bought two tables that day, 7 chairs, 3 barstools, and a bench. Pat sold us every piece. We had a great experience purchasing furniture for the new house. We would definitely recommend Pat and when I furnish my living room she will be the first person I call. Thanks Pat👍

Ashley's centralized delivery service kind of left us hanging on the delivery dates for our furniture. We swung by the Shallotte store where we purchased to see if they could help us out. The support staff at the Shallotte store took charge and made sure that our furniture was delivered on the date we needed. Special thanks to Kristen at the Shallotte Ashley store and Joe, the manager of the Shallotte store. They really took care of us - even after they already had our business. I have bought from this store several times before and this will always be my first stop. The support staff is as good as the sales staff.

LOY IS AWESOME... Been there a couple times and he's not a "Stage 5 clinger". He leaves you alone but does keep an eye out and knows when to approach. This store is pretty big, great selection, new stuff all the time. Outfitted 3.5 rooms. Will be going back for more.

Disappointed that they are a showroom store and I couldn't just buy something and take it home. Beautiful furniture though.

I paid a down payment for furniture that couldn't be delivered when I was home not once but two times. Then came time for a payment and I was told I was in default and I still don't have the furniture. I told them 2 weeks in a row i don't want it. Waiting over a month for furniture and paid delivery. Was in the hospital for a week and when I get out I have messages I try to return and someone's always in a conference call, not in, or on vacation. Worst ever.

I was so excited to receive my ($$) sofa, that the salesman assured me could be ordered the way I needed and delivered in a timely manner. However, I waited a month and no call. I finally started calling about delivery. It took several unanswered messages and 3 rescheduled delivery dates, oh and two months to receive the wrong facing chaise. Oh and delivery said they picked it up from a store, not warehouse. So does that mean they sold me a floor model? The wrong floor model? The worst experience ever!

I would like to share an incredible experience I had at the shalotte NPC Ashley store! First let me say I had previously looked elsewhere and had a hard time making up my mind and was met with pushy attitude to hurry up and decide. Totally the opposite when I arrived at the Ashley store in shallotte! Met with the visual lady Angela, had never experienced such warmth and compassion. She actually cared about me being happy with my decision and then the store manager Joe was very professional in finalizing the deal, but not in a uptight, stuffy way. Once again, very warm and compassionate. I really enjoy my new furniture and can't wait to pick out my next room of furniture worth the Ashley store in Shallotte! Will be sending a picture to their Facebook page.

Ordered dining table with chairs - Signature design. 1st table had to be replaced due to broken wood piece. 2nd one I reached up under to remove a tag and got my finger ripped open from a bunch of staples underneath. This from what is supposed to be a World Class Furniture Co! Strikes me as poor quality

What a terrific experience! The staff at Ashley Homestore in Shallotte could not have been more pleasant and considerate. Jim A (sales representative) was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He provided numerous options for us to consider. Joe S (store manager) was extraordinary. He went far above and beyond to provide exemplary customer service. Ms. Jolly was a very nice sales lady and our experience in the store was great, but don't expect to see any of your thousands of dollars of furniture for over a month. I was told everything would be here in 2 weeks. I don't understand how it can take so long to get an order. I can order something on Amazon and receive it in less than 48 hours!
