Ashley Store Wilmington, NC

Ordered a couch for my new house in Wilmington. Had to reschedule delivery, John was extremely helpful and responsive throughout the entire process. Highly recommend buying furniture from this Ashley.

It would take a week to share all the details of my experience with the different Ashley’s I visited on Friday. Also it would take too much time to review all the personnel I encountered, BUT I WAS SO IMPRESSED WITH MELODY THAT I CAN ONLY SAY SHE WAS AND IS TERRIFIC. She treated me as if I was her only customer and that I deserved her best. You need to keep her!!!!!

Had a really solid experience at the Ashley Furniture on Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington. We worked with Allan to find a dining set and sleeper sofa, and both he and the manager, Nick, were incredibly helpful and straightforward. No high-pressure tactics, just clear answers and good guidance. Being able to test everything out in-store made a huge difference in our decision. The dining set has already been delivered and it fits the space perfectly. Julio and the delivery team were professional, on time, and handled everything with care. We had a great experience at Ashley Furniture on Carolina Beach Road in Wilmington, NC. Allan helped us throughout the process and Nick, the store manager, was also very attentive and professional. We purchased a dining set and a sleeper sofa. We already received the dining set and it looks beautiful in our home, and the sofa will be arriving this week. It’s really nice to visit the store and see the furniture and fabrics in person before buying. Being able to look at the materials, colors, and comfort level makes it much easier to choose the right pieces, and the team is there to answer any questions right away. The delivery team led by Julio was excellent, on time, careful with everything, and very professional. Allen greeted us quickly to see if we needed help and took us right to the set I wanted to see. He did a great job of covering the features (it has a lot including a middle seat drop table, electrical features, and bottom lighting) as well as the factory warranty and extended warranty benefits. The sofa and recliner are the perfect color, comfortable and well made. Abby was very nice and professional at checkout. So far this has been a great shopping experience with your store. Kent did a great Job helping is find just what we wanted

My wife chose an accent cabinet and asked that I return to the store to pay for and pick up the cabinet. I was not impressed with the salesperson, I think his name was Kent, that waited on me. Made a big deal out of me wanting to pay in cash when just the day prior another salesperson said to get the price he quoted we needed to pay in cash. I asked if they had help onsite to help load the piece and his attitude and comments made me feel as though they were doing me a favor to load the cabinet on my truck. And to top it all off (something i didn't notice until i got home) when he processed the order for payment he added .99 cents to the price we were quoted . . . apparently he felt he just had to get every little penny he could get out of us. Be on your guard if you choose to shop at this business.

I had purchased a mattress at Ashley Furniture years ago and they were 2 doors down so we went to see what they had. John C. So disappointed that I waited around all day for my delivery only to find out that it never made it to the warehouse. No call, no text and no email. I received several emails and texts a few days ago to confirm the scheduled delivery, which was confirmed. And the best part is they have no idea when I will receive it. Terrible service! It will probably be my last visit to Ashley Furniture. It’s too bad because Kent was an absolute pleasure to work with for both my purchases.

Don’t waste your time. Went in and selected a couch to purchase, went through the process of getting everything ordered and was told we would have a delivery 2 weeks from that date. A week later it got pushed back another week, then a couple days later it got pushed back again. We messaged and called our salesperson who never bothered to reply back only to receive a random check in the mail for the amount we had purchased the couch for. It took an extra 4 days to get an answer as to why that happened. They canceled our order, never told us they cancelled it and now we are back to square one with buying a couch and lost a month of time waiting. Worked in retail my entire life and have never seen incompetence at such a high level. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the plague. Will never do business with or recommend Ashley furniture to anyone.

Patient informative help

I went I to the store to view, in person, an item I had seen online to verify how it looked in person. The item was not in the store but John was able to show me the item on a very large screen and I moved forward with the purchase. John, and the staff, were very friendly, able to answer my questions and consummate a quick transaction. I am awaiting the delivery of my item and hope it looks as good in real life as on the computer screen in the store.

This was our second large purchase from Ashley Furniture in five years. We had just purchased a new bed frame that included the head and footboard and were looking for the other pieces to complete a new bedroom suite. John walked over introduced himself and asked if he could offer any assistance. After telling him what we were shopping for. His first question was what bedroom we were shopping for. Which I found puzzling. After explaining why he asked, I understood perfectly. Since we were shopping for the master bedroom he explained that the real wood furniture was in one section and the laminate furniture. He also explained the major differences. My wife found exactly what she was looking for she asked John if he could help us when he was free. His response was absolutely and followed her over to the area, my wife asked if we could get one of the bed rails out of the truck to confirm if it actually matched. After deciding what color we wanted he quickly asked what pieces we would like to purchase. We ended up with two chest of drawers, a dresser and two nightstands. After paying John told us how the delivery worked, told us he would follow up to confirm the delivery date and set everything up and the delivery team would contact us with a delivery window. Everything went just as he told us it would. If you’re looking for quality furniture without any hassle. Both my wife and I highly recommend both Ashley Furniture and John. Stay as far away from Ashley furniture as you can. They sell garbage. I purchased a reclining sofa and within a few weeks it started making a banging noise when I recline. They keep putting me off and off to have someone come out and fix it. I’ve been waiting now 3 months. They suck.

I purchased a mattress. Noticed after about 6 weeks that it had some small cuts along the edge. Mind you had I not turned it around I wouldn't have noticed. I informed them. Took a month for them to send someone. Then I get a TEXT that it's nothing they can do. It was probably damaged during delivery. This mattress is over 1400 dollars. I was such a champion of Ashley but never again.

Cliff at Ashley Furniture was great. He gave us a lot of information about the company as well as about the furniture we were buying. He made the process easy. And, he didn't bug us as we looked around!

I did the pre approval online and had the confirmation number along with the $50 off for the email sign up, but everyone that I spoke to initially seemed a bit confused about why I was even there. I did however, finally get everything straightened out and made my purchase And it was a very nice experience after we got through that part but what I would recommend is having more information in the stores about a pre approval, It seem to be difficult for them to know what I was talking about. Honestly, I almost left two times because it was so irritating trying to figure out how to explain what I was trying to tell them. I don’t think it’s anything that they’re doing wrong. I just think there’s not enough information for them to know what is happening when people are trying to do things online so it gets very confusing which is a turn off when you’re trying to get something done quickly.

Bought a bed and mattress from this store in September of 2023 and was absolutely scammed. It is the cheapest made furniture I’ve ever had in my life. It has collapsed 3 times since I bought it, Ashley furniture came to fix it twice, then lied to me and delayed the replacement until my warranty was up and then told me there was nothing they could do since it was too late. This was after I referred someone else that bought a $5,000 couch from them. They’re all just scam artists and I would NEVER purchase from here again. I have walmart furniture that lasts longer. Don’t believe a single word they say.

I can’t give enough stars for Mr.Allen! I was not hassled one bit. In this day, that is so important! I could have easily purchased online but because he was so genuine, I went back in hopes he would benefit from the sale. Plus he was very patient and showed me difference in pricing while I also had my 2 year in store :) can’t wait till our table arrives for our new home!

He was very help full in showing me other options without ever talking me out of something. Terrible customer service from a salesperson and GM. The salesperson did not listen to me and kept speaking over me. This led to them selling me a regular bed frame and not a platform bed, which then cost me an additional $150 to buy the boards to avoid needing a box spring. The GM tried to put this mistake on me. Not surprising for Ashley.
