This was our second large purchase from Ashley Furniture in five years. We had just purchased a new bed frame that included the head and footboard and were looking for the other pieces to complete a new bedroom suite. John walked over introduced himself and asked if he could offer any assistance. After telling him what we were shopping for. His first question was what bedroom we were shopping for. Which I found puzzling. After explaining why he asked, I understood perfectly. Since we were shopping for the master bedroom he explained that the real wood furniture was in one section and the laminate furniture. He also explained the major differences. My wife found exactly what she was looking for she asked John if he could help us when he was free. His response was absolutely and followed her over to the area, my wife asked if we could get one of the bed rails out of the truck to confirm if it actually matched. After deciding what color we wanted he quickly asked what pieces we would like to purchase. We ended up with two chest of drawers, a dresser and two nightstands. After paying John told us how the delivery worked, told us he would follow up to confirm the delivery date and set everything up and the delivery team would contact us with a delivery window. Everything went just as he told us it would. If you’re looking for quality furniture without any hassle. Both my wife and I highly recommend both Ashley Furniture and John. Came in to Ashley Furniture and we were met by Kent to help. Stay as far away from Ashley furniture as you can. They sell garbage. I purchased a reclining sofa and within a few weeks it started making a banging noise when I recline. They keep putting me off and off to have someone come out and fix it. I’ve been waiting now 3 months. They suck.

I purchased a mattress. Noticed after about 6 weeks that it had some small cuts along the edge. Mind you had I not turned it around I wouldn't have noticed. I informed them. Took a month for them to send someone. Then I get a TEXT that it's nothing they can do. It was probably damaged during delivery. This mattress is over 1400 dollars. I was such a champion of Ashley but never again.
Cliff at Ashley Furniture was great. He gave us a lot of information about the company as well as about the furniture we were buying. He made the process easy. And, he didn't bug us as we looked around!
Went in to look and found a bed my wife had been ogling on sale. Cliff was our salesman and he went above and beyond. He even helped load since we were after hours for the assembly/movement team. Happy with the purchase and even happier with the experience!!!

I did the pre approval online and had the confirmation number along with the $50 off for the email sign up, but everyone that I spoke to initially seemed a bit confused about why I was even there. I did however, finally get everything straightened out and made my purchase And it was a very nice experience after we got through that part but what I would recommend is having more information in the stores about a pre approval, It seem to be difficult for them to know what I was talking about. Honestly, I almost left two times because it was so irritating trying to figure out how to explain what I was trying to tell them. I don’t think it’s anything that they’re doing wrong. I just think there’s not enough information for them to know what is happening when people are trying to do things online so it gets very confusing which is a turn off when you’re trying to get something done quickly.

Our salesmen, Cliff Sheaf , was very helpful. He listened to all of our wants for our furniture, then found the pieces we needed. He then found us the best deal and great financing. All in all a quick and pleasant experience.

Bought a bed and mattress from this store in September of 2023 and was absolutely scammed. It is the cheapest made furniture I’ve ever had in my life. It has collapsed 3 times since I bought it, Ashley furniture came to fix it twice, then lied to me and delayed the replacement until my warranty was up and then told me there was nothing they could do since it was too late. This was after I referred someone else that bought a $5,000 couch from them. They’re all just scam artists and I would NEVER purchase from here again. I have walmart furniture that lasts longer. Don’t believe a single word they say.
I can’t give enough stars for Mr.Allen! I was not hassled one bit. In this day, that is so important! I could have easily purchased online but because he was so genuine, I went back in hopes he would benefit from the sale. Plus he was very patient and showed me difference in pricing while I also had my 2 year in store :) can’t wait till our table arrives for our new home!

JOHN CASTORO at Ashley's was very helpful and patient with me as I took two days to decide what I wanted. Upon my arrival I was feeling defeated after I couldn't have what I wanted with the budget I had. John went out of his way to get mye qualified for more credit that I didn't know was available to me. I left getting everything I wanted, with him working with me I didn't end up buying clearance products, that I felt I was going to be limited to. He was very help full in showing me other options without ever talking me out of something. Also I really liked how although he was listening to me and showing me items there was never a pushy sales feeling. It was really smooth. 10/10 would recommend asking for him.

Given plenty of options whe going in to buy two recliners. They were very helpful
Terrible customer service from a salesperson and GM. The salesperson did not listen to me and kept speaking over me. This led to them selling me a regular bed frame and not a platform bed, which then cost me an additional $150 to buy the boards to avoid needing a box spring. The GM tried to put this mistake on me. Not surprising for Ashley.

Very personable and knowledgeable with no hard sell tactics. We were so impressed with the comfort and style of the two seater for our FROG (my husbands ‘man cave’) that we bought the sofa as well for our living room (since we spend much of our time there together). John explored all Options for best pricing and explained additional savings with a deferred interest card. Needless to say we were quite pleased and purchased both. Delivery service is horrible... Store sales rep was fine, but delivery service and delivery Customer Service is horrible. Delivery Date and Time had been scheduled 4 days priors. 1 hour before Delivery time they do not call but send a text and email with a new delivery date and time and have the nerve to say if can't make the new time a $79 reschedule fee. Absolutely horrible service. DO NOT SCHEDULE A DELIVERY from them at all.

Apparently company policy to be financially predatory and not inform customers about company policies when it comes to financing. Do not allow them to run your credit for financing unless you're 100% purchasing or they'll be signing you up for a credit card through TD Bank without your knowledge or consent, and then give you the run around about resolving the issue. Funny how Ashley Furniture responds to positive feedback but ignores complaints about their shady business practices.

I was shopping for beds and couches, wanted to see how much “interest free financing” I’d be approved for, was told they were soft credit checks. I was approved for 5.5k, but I did not purchase anything. Then few weeks later I get a TD Bank Credit card in the mail. I didn’t authorize anyone to sign me up for a new credit card. This impacted the other credit cards I was in process of applying for. Now I want this removed completely from my credit report. TD bank tells me to call Ashley, John Casto at Ashley giving me the run around, he has to call his GM…. No call back…. I didn’t expect a well renowned company like Ashley and TD Bank to be pulling these shady financial tactics…. How is this even legal? Telling me your checking how much I would be approved for, but in actuality, you sign me up for a credit card that I did not authorize? I’ve wasted enough time. Fix this, remove it from my credit report or I’ll take other actions to have it resolved.

Ashley home furnishing provided an excellent experience during my shopping trip. Kent, was my sales person and he was knowledgeable, friendly, and not pushy at all. He was patient with my questions, and supplied all the information I needed to make an informed decision on my purchase I would highly recommend Ashley home furnishings.
I recently purchased a power lift recliner from the store in Monkey Junction for my partner who was coming home from spine surgery. Chair is fine but not a good fit for him so we went back to store and found another chair that worked for us for more money. The original chair was 899 the new one was about three hundred more plus I purchased a five year warranty on the original one. Store has a no return exchange policy and will not budge throws problem back on Corporate and a customer care number you need to call. I will never step foot in an Ashley store again or recommend them to anyone. I wasn't told about a no return exchange policy up front but it is in paper work. Very disappointing experience. No one cares here if you’re dissatisfied and passes it along to company policy. Will never shop here again or recommend to anyone.

Poor customer service experience. I worked with Cliff in store and was misinformed about the return policy of in store orders. I had planned to purchase online, but he said that they could guarantee there would be no damaged items when the order was placed in store with them and that I would have the ability to return the items. I received the order and the packaging is damaged and barely being held together by tape or boxes are ripped. I was also not informed that I was to refuse delivery if there were issues and was not asked to sign a delivery confirmation. If I would’ve known I would not be able to return the order since it was placed in the store I would’ve never placed an in store order and placed it online where I would have the return option available. I then contacted the corporate customer service line and was put in the call back list, but never received a call back. I called and spoke to local customer service the next day who then informed me that due to the contract that was signed I would be unable to return my items, but I trusted/relied on the store employee to give me the accurate information as we went over the contract and this was not done. I called the local customer service again and outlined the situation, but she still refused to return my items and instead told me to speak to Cliff at the store. I then spoke to another employee who was the only one available at my local store and informed him, then he said he would have Cliff call me back. I spoke to Cliff who refused to admit the miscommunication and said he was unable to approve the return, then referred me back to the local customer service again to who I just spoke to that transferred me to him. I then called the corporate line and got another call back spot, but figured they wouldn’t have called back so I used the chat instead. They also refused to help me remedy this situation and said that I would need to open the damaged boxes to see if there was anything actually damaged to which I said I did not want to do because the outside was damaged. Ashley altogether provided a horrible customer experience both online and in store. I do not plan to shop with them again and plan to close my account with them as soon as possible. I do not wish to purchase a company that refuses to take responsibility for their employees miscommunication and poor customer service experience. If you do decide to purchase with them anyways I would highly advise you to never purchase in store since you would not be able to return anything, when online you have a return window. It’s quite ridiculous that there is no return window when purchased in store, especially when you were convinced/pushed to order in store instead of online.

We told him our budget and he did not try and force anything we didn't want on us. He actually searched to find similar products to ensure we met or stayed under our budget but still got ad close to the best product we could. There was a mix up when the wrong color chair was delivered to our home. It took several weeks & phone calls to get it straightened out, and throughout the entire experience, everyone we spoke with was courteous, understanding, kind, & persistently focused on helping us resolve the issue. It all turned out fine & my husband loves his surprise gift from his sister. Very comfortable, electric recliner that has lots of features & allows him to rest comfortably, including sleeping in it.

Wouldn’t recommend it’s hard to get in touch once something happens. Called yesterday for my sales person she wasn’t there I was told a manager would call me back they never did. Called again today the manager lied, I gave my sales person the exact order number & color of the chair I wanted. The manager said I didn’t, It took over a month just for them to send the wrong chair. No one reached out to apologize for the inconvenience until a couple days later when I decided to cancel the order. Now I can’t get a refund for their wrong doing it’s ridiculous don’t buy anything from this store !

This Ashley Store was amazing! We had been looking for a discontinued piece of furniture to match our bedroom set. We literally looked into a number of Ashley Stores with no success. Almost giving up, we called the Ashley Store in Wilmington. The gentleman said they had it; it was the only one they had. We sealed the deal with a prompt payment, and traveled 2 1/2 hours to pick the piece up. Sure enough…it was the correct piece! We were ecstatic! The gentleman brought the heavy piece to our car. It just fit! We were happily on our way home. My husband said he had had the chance to look over the store. He said it was a beautiful, very large Ashley. We would not hesitate seeing their showroom again, even with the drive.

We went to probably every store in Wilmington and so happy we ended up working with Kent at Ashley. I was super indecisive and there was no pressure , he was just very helpful. Sales woman was wonderful, however our experience for our furniture as been awful. We didn't receive our furniture for 8 months after purchase. Since then, My husband can't even open his drawers on his chet of drawers, they replaced my drawer that had a nick it it with an off white didn't even match.... now they've sent two drawers for mine that I didn't need. They do match the white thank goodness. I was willing to deal with the off white if my husband's drawers could atleast open and close. So we paid top dollar for something that we have to fix ourselves. Is it unbelievable or believable with the way product has been going.

Would not buy from this location, told i would recieve a refund and asked for an email confirmation. Cliff hung up on me, and then i waited a week and still no refund; Went to the store and they confirmed i would get a refund, few days later called the number on google only to find out they never submitted the request for a refund. Mercedes helped me and told me she submitted the request today. Hopefully i get one!

I came in looking for a bookshelf and fell in love with a Purple Premium 4 Mattress. The associate who helped us is Abbe. A wonderful and lovely person, they went out of their way to make us feel welcomed and assisted us through the whole process of picking the perfect mattress for us and gave wonderful recommendations. BEWARE!!! This is a trash company that does not honor their own warranties! We purchased a brand new sofa, loveseat, and chair and a half with ottoman, along with a 2-year warranty. Needless to say, after just a few short months, the seams on the cushions started to pull away/separate, and the fabric appeared very worn. We called to see if we could get replacement cushions under our warranty, and whomever we spoke to was dishonest and documented our problem in their system as something that obviously wouldn't be covered by the warranty, and therefore we were denied. They typed something completely different than what we had described to them and we had even sent them multiple pictures! We called Ashley furniture to discuss what happened with their warranty company in which we were told they no longer did business with said warranty company and would not honor the warranty we had previously purchased through THEM. I could not believe it! The way they do business is extremely unethical. I will no longer support this company and their shoddy customer service and craftsmanship.

Don't shop at Ashley furniture on Market St. because they will not keep their word. We purchased living room furniture and purchased the protection plan. Tried to use the protection plan, got the plan approved. Was told by corporate office to go and pick out new furniture to replace broken furniture in my home. The managers here are so rude. They actually tried to get us to pay full price for furniture that was supposed to be replaced. My recommendations to anyone looking for furniture, DO NOT GO TO ASHLEY FURNITURE. The manager we were talking with showed us another set and he actually thought he could run the numbers up to where we would be paying double for what the floor advertising sign stated that the piece would cost. When I called him out on it, his attitude really changed. I'm not sure if their problem with us was because we are a mixed race couple. I'd hate to think that this was the case. I'm just allowing everyone to know how they may be treated dealing with this store.

We ordered a couch that was delivered on June 1, 2022.The back of the couch was broken and cushions were frayed. We went to the store and were told to call 1-800 number. Its now November 16, 2022 and the couch has yet to be fixed. They have been to our home twice and brought the wrong parts. Over the years, we have purchased 20K in furniture. This isn't the first time we've had a bad experience. On a separate occasion, they delivered the wrong couch to one of our rental houses. Another incident, we ordered a bedroom suite and the dresser and bed were damaged. Again, we had to have Ashley return to fix it. This is my first time writing a review but felt compelled after they were here yesterday and again brought the wrong parts.

We just replaced a (well-used and still solid) dining room set that we bought at Ashley in GA 14 years ago (smaller space required a smaller set) , and got a great deal from Cliff Sheaf in the Carolina Beach (NC) store. Recently bought bedroom furniture here. Spent hours on the first visit trying out mattresses until we had our perfect sleeper. The next visit spent a few hours trying out a base for the mattress and also looking at all the bedroom sets. We are really happy with our purchases and Melissa was marvelous, spent so much time with us, very knowledgeable, and worked with us on getting the best deal!! We will definitely be returning for our next furniture purchase.
We worked with Clift on a number of purchases. We are seniors and had just moved to the area. He gave us his full attention and displayed immense patience with our shortcomings. Run around Run around, with a one for one exchange as the only solution. Once this brick is paid for we will never shop at this store again.

I originally had a review here saying "Chris is the man" (chris being our salesman) because he literally asked for my phone and wrote the review himself. 5 months later, our couch is completely deteriorating. We are still under the 1 year warranty AND purchased the 5 year diamond protection plan. After numerous calls, they aren't doing anything, saying this is normal wear and tear. These photos were taken after only 3 months of having the sectional! It's embarrassing to look at. It's our first time buying an expensive piece of furniture and definitely the last with Ashley. I'm appalled this is what they consider normal wear and tear. I cannot believe the awful quality of this $5000 couch and the lack of responsibility or care from Ashley Furniture. I'd take your money elsewhere or your in for major disappointment.

Decent selection of furniture and mattresses
Needed a new mattress for a while. Started looking at a few places. Got to Ashley and Kent Williams took care of us. We continued looking and got back to Ashley this afternoon. Kent was there and he recognized us (good thing 'cause I didn't recognize him) and took care of us after he finished with another customer. He gave us lots if information to help with the decision which payment option, which monthly payment, How many payments, Lots to consider. He made sure we understood everything. We also bought 2 powered recliners/lift chairs. Couldn't be happier.

We had some delivery issues with the our purchase. We came to the store to discuss a resolution and luckily Sharon was working. She didn’t know us but stopped everything and helped us! She made arrangements for us to have our furniture delivered as fast as possible. We decided to purchase an end table that discontinued. What is your favorite save the end table was no longer available store but called around and located one for us. She even manage to have the manager at the other store hold it for us. She truly was wonderful! If you go to the Carolina beach road store ask for Sharon!

My husband and I went to this store back in January, we were not informed that both couches would not be delivered until March until after we paid for the furniture. The first couch arrived in the middle of February, great! 2 weeks into March I called to see where the other couch was as I had not heard an update and it was suppose to be delivered the first of March, apparently they were waiting on fabric to finish the upholstery. I received a call the first week of April letting us know our couch would be delivered on the following Saturday. On Saturday at 10 AM I received a call stating the couch couldn't be delivered because the delivery crew was sick..we had company and had already moved the couch into our garage at this point. The best part of our experience was from the delivery guys. The biggest disappointment is that we should have been told from the get go that the couch wouldn't be delivered for 3 months. And not only did it take 3 months.. it took 4. Lack of communication.

2 things that I do not like is over priced furniture and being stalked by a sales person. Meet us at the door and direct us. Stay close even if you want but if we have a question or need help we can ask.
The worst store I have ever bought anything from. Please do not shop there. We bought several pieces for our new home and it has all pretty much cracked, chipped, or came damaged. The store has no pride in customer service even when you spent money on the extended warranty. This has been the worst company and merchandise I have ever dealt with. Don’t waste your time and money.
We just got a new house and went into Ashley Furniture because we are in need of quite a few pieces. A sectional, bedroom set, dining room table and chairs. We browsed around for quite some time and found several pieces we were interested in but we did not receive help by a single employee. We just kept getting ignored. We decided not to purchase any of our furniture there since we weren't even worth approaching. I guess you have to look rich to receive service. Next time I will skip Ashley and buy my furniture elsewhere.

Ashley HomeStore has exceeded my expectations with my complete bedroom set order. LeAnn was incredible, helping me ensure that my order was correct, and keeping me informed of the order status during the 6 weeks delivery time. Payment was easy, and professionally handled over the phone. It took less than 2 minutes on the phone with the warehouse to schedule a delivery date at our convenience. All in all, this has been an ideal furniture buying experience!

Everyone at Ashley Homestore was such a pleasure to work with! From the buying experience in the store, to the delivery, and customer service! Donna was so helpful, patient with us (I can be a bit indecisive), and knowledgeable about their products. The warehouse manager Wade that's in charge of deliveries was kind and very accommodating. During our warranty period, we had an issue with a cushion so they sent us brand new cushions and sent Alex out to install. He then came back out to reevaluate the couch and both times Alex was kind, polite, professional, and very accommodating. We also spoke with Kip from the store who was also very kind and helpful! Everyone made us feel appreciated and worked hard to resolve our issue. And not to mention all the furniture is so comfy ☺️!!

My girlfriend and i have bought several pieces of furniture from them over the last 4 years. Thr bedroom suit was not great quality and had some minor problems, but for the price I paid, I am very satisfied. Mattresses and sofa are were top of the line and have lived up to their names. The one thing I have to compliment most on is the customer service I have recieved from them. Any problems we have had, they have come through and taken care of us every time. Our salesman, Kent, has always been polite and informative and helped us with getting what we needed when we needed it. Almost all of the Ashley stores are frnachised out, so while I cant speak for stores in other areas, I can tell you that the owner of the Wilmington stores cares about customer serivce and doesnt take issues lightly. I have recommended this store to many of my friends and family and will continue to do so. 5 stars all the way
We bought couches in May, and only decided to go ahead with the purchase because the couches were in stock and should be delivered in time for our move. We even checked about two weeks ago and were told they would be on time. This afternoon I called the store to check because we still had not heard from Ashley, and the lady at the desk tells me it now looks like 9th of July before possible shipment to the warehouse. Tried to take to the sales rep that sold them to us. His response was this was all estimated at the time of sale and he is not the shipping department and he has no control over when things are ready. Continued to blame Covid, which I understand but we have not had any other problems with furniture we bought during Covid from other local furniture stores all of that is arriving on the times they estimated. He did let me know the loveseat was here and he would have that delivered but no idea on when the couch would be coming in, times have changed too many times on the arrival date. Not the response I was anticipating let him know my husband would reach back out to him... he told me have him call my manager and removed himself from the problem. Will not buy from them again, not reliable, and not willing to correct or help fix a situation, very disappointed,

So I ordered some furniture from Ashley in Wilmington NC in March. Then the Rona went crazy in the world and the world stopped including the manufacturing of my recliner. I got my recliner yesterday and somehow the lever that reclines the chair was put on upside down so it was under the chair. (You would have to get in the floor and reach under the chair to recline it). Well I’m still trying to wrap my brain around how it left the factory that way, getting my furniture has been a real roller coaster. The reason for my five star review is for myself person Cyndi Gaeta. She stayed in constant contact between the distributor, the warehouse, and even the team who repairs to make sure my delivery process I would go as smooth as possible in this crazy time we live in. When I received the chair finally, And we noticed the power lever was upside down, The repair crew told me it would be a week or more before they could send someone out to fix it. She helped get the ball rolling and got them here the next day. She would make a great store manager. The biggest Improvement I believe Ashley furniture could make, would be to have a more accurate date of delivery. They gave me a confirmed delivery date three weeks after I ordered the chair and then canceled the day before telling me they hadn’t even made the chair yet. They did that two more times. If it wasn’t for her constant contact, I would’ve canceled the chair completely. I’m writing this as I’m sitting in my chair now, it works properly now and I’m very happy

I had a super great experience here. The sales people were amazing, and the selection and prices were unbeatable. Mark was knowledgeable and made furniture buying easy. I really liked the protection plan they offered where after 5 years if you have not used it, you get your money back in the form of a store credit.
Me and wife only had to shop for a full size bed for our youngest daughter so we figured we’d save some time and shop locally at Ashley’s in monkey junction. The store is chock full of beautiful inexpensive furniture for any room. We got the pleasure to work with Cyndi who was very soft spoken, friendly and not like some of the sharks you see at other stores. We took our time and got specs on all the mattresses we were interested in and with her suggestions and knowledge, we walked out with an awesome deal and a very excited daughter. We’ll definitely be back for a dresser and end tables for our own bedroom.
With salesperson Cyndi's wonderful help today we purchased a new leather recliner. Cyndi was at hand when we needed her for a question, but left us to our own conversations if we did not. If the notification, pickup, and the rest of this experience is like today, it will be a total shopping success.

This Ashley store is the best of all. We had help from everyone working there and they defintely made up for the experience that we had last night with a different Ashley store.
My significant other and I were attempting to window shop for furniture early, so we knew what we wanted as soon as we were stable and able to afford it. As we were talking about a furniture setup an employee came and asked if we were wanting to buy that day, to which I informed him we would be unable to buy that day (including financing). He moved on to help another couple decide on some furniture they were looking at. My significant other decided to use the restroom before continuing to look at more furniture. After they came out of the bathroom the man said we had to leave if we weren't buying anything that day, to which I told him I was not obligated to buy furniture to be in the building because we were debating on what we would like to purchase whenever we were able to. He then told us we had twenty minutes to leave and if we didnt "we'll see". The employee threatened us and told us to leave because we were not buying furniture that day, I would leave less than one star if I could. I felt very welcomed by the woman who greeted us, however the other employee ruined our experience and I will not be returning there in the future. I also do not recommend anyone else waste their time with Ashley, especially if you dont know what you want.

Great service until it was delivered. We purchased a large sectional back in February and it was delivered a few weeks later. About an hour after it was delivered, we noticed that a corner was ripped and the wood frame was sticking out. We reached out to the store immediately and they gave us a store email so we could send pictures of the damage. They said they would take care of it immediately. We've followed up by phone and email and still......NOTHING. It's October!
I had the best experience with the people who moved the furniture in and assembled the furniture. We forgot to purchase box springs. The gentlemen actually drove back to the warehouse, picked up the box springs and delivered them back to my house within 30 minutes!

Terrible customer service I walk in, there's 5 associates hanging around the main desk. I'm thinking maybe they're having a little meeting so I walk around the store decide on a what I want to get more information on go back to the desk and no one's there. A woman comes back and says oh I can't leave the desk let me get you some one, over comes Joe. He shows me some garbage and is busy on his little computer meanwhile I tell him I don't have much time I want to see Gray Dressers. We walk around the store a bit So I can show him what I'm intrested in. In mid sentence he sees there's another couple at the store's computer any goes over and Starts helping them, forgetting all about me so I walk out. terrible service- deal with one customer at a time in the order in which we came.

I am really disappointed with Ashley. I went against my better judgement and purchased an expensive mattress and associated bedroom furniture from here instead of going to custom home furnishings. The day it was delivered it was very obvious the top left of the headboard had been exposed to a significant amount of some liquid (probably rain water as it was pouring the day of delivery). I called, emailed, and provided pictures and they didn’t respond. I had to follow up with them and then they called back saying they would schedule someone to come out and take a look to discuss a possible cleaning... the fabric is wrinkled and stained due to water damage and I called the same day of delivery to report it. A cleaning won’t fix that and it was extremely frustrating to get the run around after spending thousands with them. Especially considering the ease with which they could replace this piece. The mattress I purchased is great but honestly I could have purchased this mattress a lot of places. It’s the fact these people don’t stand by their products or their warranties. I’ll end in saying this. If you’re looking for something relatively cheap that you’re not worried about a company replacing or honoring warranties then sure Ashley is fine. If you are looking to spend a lot of money (that being relative to you and your income) then remember you have been warned... go somewhere else. This place is like a sleazy used car dealership that constantly takes advantage of people. Stay away unless your not looking for quality. For that go to custom home furnishings don’t go here.

After losing all of our furniture in Hurricane Florence, Rich and the team at Ashley took wonderful care of us. From making sure we got the sectional in the fabric that I wanted, to holding our order until construction on our house was completed enough until we could move back in...and there were quite a few delays. Although there were numerous headaches throughout this harrowing experience of dealing with the hurricane aftermath, my purchase with Ashley HomeStore was a much needed bright spot!

Update: After having a technician out to look at my mattress and the technician noting that one whole side of the bed is broken down....because they can not see this when they look at the bed....they refuse to honor my warranty. I spent $800 for a mattress that has completely broken down on one side after only a 140 lb person (Me) and a couple of cats have slept on it. I now have to sleep on the other side to keep from falling off the bed and I'm sure it won't be long before that side breaks down, too. I don't know what they intend to do about the rest of my falling apart furniture since they don't return my calls and haven't bothered to contact me since the initial complaint. I assume that I'm stuck with $3000 worth of broken down furniture and can do nothing but post negative reviews about it. Beware of Ashley Homestore. Do some research and find a reputable furniture company or you might wind up wasting a lot of money on garbage. I bought $3000 of furniture from Ashley after Hurricane Florence destroyed my home and everything in it. I was extremely happy with the sales people and the customer service when I was making my purchases. They went out of their way to get my bed delivered the next day since I had been sleeping on the floor since the hurricane. But, over the past few months the mattress is breaking down, the finish on my kitchen island is coming off and the cushions on my bar stools are breaking down. I wasn't going to post a negative review, but I sent them a message on their website and it was returned to me through my email provider as a failed delivery. I tried calling the number on the website and kept getting hung up on. All of this is disappointing and unprofessional. I will find another furniture store in the future.
The sofa I purchased ended up costing me almost twice as much as they advertised and the cushions are not soft at all. They sit like they are stuffed with straw. The store considers all sells final. Will never buy anything else there and will not recommend them.

I would’ve rated them zero stars if that was an option. My family ordered 3 full rooms worth of furniture and when we received it over half of the items were damaged, and some of the items were missing. When we called to talk to the managers about the situation, the customer service that we received was absolutely unprofessional.
Very nice easy to find what we needed
Went to browse the sectionals and found the perfect set. The staff was knowledgeable and let us browse while checking on us from time to time which is how I like to shop. We got the internet price which was much less than their sale price which sealed the deal. It will take 4-6 weeks for delivery which is long but works well for us since we're getting our floors refinished. Overall we're very happy with the experience so far. I'll update the review once we have them delivered and setup.

They really do have great furniture. I spent over $1,300 buying furniture for my daughter and son-in-law. Their old home flooded due to Hurricane Florence and they needed furniture for their new home. They were very accommodating and helpful under the circumstances.

I purchased a mattress & adjustable base. Salesperson was new so she & her mgr. worked together on purchase. All went well. It has been delivered. Did have to go pick up pillow today as it is on my receipt, but installers did not have it with them. Slip ups do happen! I mentioned that I would like to have frame lowered. My salesperson (Hannah) made that happen! Will call # given to set up appt. Thank you Hannah. Installation went well, installers were very careful, informative & finished in a timely manner. All in all would give a +10 to Ashley & my thanks to Kip & Hannah!

Guess I'm spending 6k. Got no choice since the restocking fee is 30%. And this is only two days after purchasing when it takes two weeks to get the furniture. When ever you say you gotta go home and think about, just don't go back. At least to this store. Horrible policy.

I Called because I was having trouble online and they told me to come in, so I got there in 20 minutes because I really wanted a certain table and today was the last day for the sale. I got there and I saw about 5 sales people sitting around on a couch and couldn't give a hoot that I walked in. I went up and asked for a certain person by name and he helped me for about 5 seconds and walked away. If SOMEONE really wanted to make a sale today they very easily could have. I have a Ashley credit card and I was ready to shop. Very disappointed and will have to look elsewhere. Badcock furniture in the past was pretty great maybe I should go back there.
The folks are friendly, but the sofa we received has the fabric stretched too far on the sides, making the nice patterns all wavy and Big-Lots-sofa-looking. Also, the floor units sure seemed more comfy than ours. I will say, we had a stained pillow upon delivery, and they replaced in less than a week. The matching ottoman is quite nice, after I manually adjusted the piping, which was not aligned with the inner cushion. We spent about $1,000 , which, while not a fortune, is a lot to my family. I certainly think the sofa is below the quality I've come to expect from Ashley.

Just stopped in to check prices of twin beds. LeAnn informed me that there was a 50% off sale. She took me back , showed me beds & mattresses & the next thing you know we bought 2 of everything & were on our way. Easiest furniture purchasing ever!
We got our bedroom suite from Ashley Furniture a few years ago and have moved it twice and it has held up very well. They were also very helpful when we were picking out an entertainment center for our new place. We didn't want one that was really expensive or large, but it needed to have storage and fit our TV. The salesperson helped us find the perfect thing from one of their catalogs, it was delivered and set up within a week. Much better than some of the fancier furniture stores we've worked with!

Our less than a year old sofa was squeaking horribly. The showroom staff were helpful by allowing us to speak to the warehouse supervisor in order to fully explain the issue. He scheduled Alex for a home repair visit. Alex was terrific. He called with his arrival time so we could plan our day. Within minutes of hearing the noise he had the problem identified (a factory mistake) and repaired. Thank you,Alex!

My day started looking for a sofa at a competitor store and while I found some nice pieces nothing wowed me. I went to Ashley because it was on my way home. When I walked in I immediately could tell the difference in the quality. While being very helpful and not pushy, Mark Perrotta helped me navigate and find exactly what I was looking for. Then he proceeded to "teach" me all the features and tips to the particular piece I was looking at. By the end of the whole experience I walked out happy and knowledgeable. It was just a great experience all around.

I was in the store for 15 minutes and one salesperson looked me in the eye and gave no acknowledgment. I was ready to buy right then. On my way out the same salesperson THEN decided I was worth asking if I needed help. They are not friendly at all. I will not ever go to another Ashley store again. There were 5 salespeople I saw, 2 were busy the other 3 were not.

My salesperson told me of the special 50% off sale going on today, I promptly upgraded my sofa to a sleeper sofa plus included a couple lamps to finish decorating my living room. We needed a new bedroom set (desperately) and the indecision was REAL. I was lost in hours of Pinterest searches and sending screen shots sent to friends for feedback. I was set on ordering online as I had not had success with local furniture stores, but everything I found was either the wrong size, wrong look and feel or simply out of budget. I came to Ashley furniture frustrated and assumed I wouldn’t find anything. I explained my criteria to Matt, a polite sales person who greeted us, and he really took the time to figure out what would work for us. He got our sense of humor and made us feel at ease. After an hour or so, we found the right bedroom set and walked out of there feeling relieved and stoked! Alex did the maintenance on my furniture and was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and thorough about issues with my dining room chairs. Since there was an overall issue with the manufacturing of the chairs he order new ones. He was a professional and respectful representative of Ashley Furniture. My wife and I stopped in looking for three rooms of furniture for the house we were buying. We were prepared to be "attacked" by a high pressure sales person, but were pleasantly surprised to be greeted by Kent. He seemed genuinely interested in our situation and needs. There was no pressure to buy anything and he was nice to us for the entire hour we were there knowing that we weren't going to be buying anything that day. Fast forward 3 weeks...we went back to Ashley HomeStore and asked for Kent again. After deliberating over our final choices again for another 30 minutes, we ended up buying all the items we wanted and were extremely happy with Kent's hard work.
Purchased new living room set during Labor Day sale. Great experience! Nice, knowledgeable staff that does not hover...gave us plenty of time + space to browse. Kid-friendly! We have 3 children ages 5 to 10 and everyone was VERY patient w/them.
Mike the manager on Market St.and Alex the technician are the only two I would do business with if I were to buy there again. From Kathy in the office to the salesman Kent they did nothing but blow me off instead of trying to help me. Lying to my face and on the phone.
I went into the store to see if they had some items that were advertised on their website. The salesperson told me the line had been discontinued. However, I found one of the items on the showroom floor, but even so he insisted they had been discontinued. Therefore I went home ordered the items from the Ashley website and I'm receiving them next week. Clearly there is no reason to visit this location; they really don't want to do their job.
My sales Rep, Candice Roberts was awesome she went above and beyond, followed thru with my orders in warehouse and delivery,. She was available for all questions and help I needed.

Best experience ever. I was not pressured into buying anything and the salesman worked with me any way he could to get me the items I wanted within my budget. I walked out with everything I needed and under my budget! I will be back again. This will be my first choice when buying furniture in the future. The finance team are very friendly and do not make you feel bad when your credit is not the greatest. They will find a way to make it work. Definately recommend!
Alex was very flexible and understanding when I needed to change my scheduled repair time to later in the day! He was also able to repair my dresser drawers incredibly quick and did a great job!
Delivery men broke a $100 lamp immediately upon entering the house. When we asked about replacement of lamp the driver told us that maybe his manager could get us a store credit. He also stated that the waiver we signed for them to take the couch to the 2nd floor excluded us from getting reimbursement for the lamp. Called the store and yet to get a call back. Thought we were dealing with a professional organization however isn't looking like it. Will update if anything is resolved.

Wow...the difference in experience is night and day between when I came into the store the first time and the second time. The first time, the sales person stumbled and bumbled through the questions I gave him, preferring to sit rather than stand, and had trouble with basic math to figure out the overall length and width of a couch. With Candice, there were no such issues. She was personable, knowledgeable, smart, and a true all-round professional. I feel confident recommending this store...but the experience is very dependent on who you see.

I have purchased many items from this one store. However, this last bar stool (that's right - one bar stool) experience will be the reason I never shop here again. I was told to call 30 mins before arrival that my stool was in. So, when I had a family member take me to pick it up (can't drive due to health issues - not that it's important especially to this store), I was told I had to drive to the warehouse to pick it up. Now, in all my days of purchasing furniture this has never happened and was told the delivery trucks were full for that day. I found it rude I was not told that would be the case before I ever bought the stool, then was told that it's "not that far," and no way to make a delivery (because this is for a 2nd home and I was leaving on Sunday) that day. Take heed this is awful customer service if I could put zero stars I would! If you do not choose at least one star you can not post!

Unfortunately have to edit my feedback on Ashley furniture. Received a defective recliner sofa. Couldn't get parts to fix so delivered a new sofa a whole month later. New sofa is even worse than the first one! So poorly constructed. Frame is bent and throws off reclining mechanism. Cushions on back not evenly padded. So uncomfortable. Tech coming again tomorrow! It's been two months since my original order. The quality of their furniture is so poor. I'll never buy there again. Be forewarned. Neatly 2,000 complaints about quality & not honoring their warranty. Wish I had read before spending my money there! Will be fighting to get my money back.

Received our furniture quickly. The chaise was larger than expected, but ended up turning out perfect. The sofa had frame and stuffing issues but a repair man came to the house within two days of delivery and added stuffing and repaired the frame issues. He explained everything and was impressed with the quality of the furniture. He didn't notice a structural issue but added an extra support piece. He was friendly and knowledgeable.
My whole experience with Ashley furniture was terrific! From Kyle taking his time with me and helping me select the perfect living room furniture, to Alex being more than helpful in sending my replacement cousins in a very timely and professional manner. I had done some online research prior to visiting the store and had some idea of what I wanted and it was easy to view online products and find them in the store. Buying my furniture at Ashley was a great experience.
Our sales person Nick was knowledgeable and helpful with our furniture selection. He went out if his way by staying late to accommodate when we had time to shop. Ashley furniture has different suits but many of the pieces are interchangeable and look great outside of the group. I like the warranty offered and hope I dont have to use it. My only negative was the assembly at home. Some of the screws weren't completely in and the furniture was loose enough to see gaps by the end first day of use. For our future purchases we will go to Ashley Furniture for quality, price, warranty, and customer service.

Horrible experience. Wrong items were delivered after an extended wait time. Then charged another customer's furniture to my bank account.. I would never do business with them again. Their lack of professionalism and customer service is deplorable.
Good service and a nice variety of products. I don't purchase new furniture often and am usually stunned by the "sticker shock" associated with shopping in stores like this, but I had bought from Ashley before (in another state) so it was the first place I went when I moved to Wilmington. If you're looking for low prices you have to go all the way to the back of the store, but it's nice stuff at reasonable prices. Friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

Last minute they told us we would not receive that til middle of February so we Cancelled and went to Ashley furniture on a Friday, where not only did they match the price but upon learning that we had no sofas Nick Grubbs had them delivered to us Monday. They where delivered on time with a call ahead of time as they said they would. The rest of our order for delivered today in a timely manner with call ahead of time, and beds built and placed professionally by Curt & Quentrel.
