I was in need of a couch for my new apartment and looked around online and other stores before ending up at Ashley Furniture. Now, I’m generally a picky person when it comes to style and I knew I would be pretty indecisiveness when trying to find a perfect sectional. With that in mind, Raeann, the sales associate that met me at the door, was absolutely outstanding. Like many people buying new furniture, I had specific fabric textures, couch styles, and color schemes that I wanted to look at. She showed me options that involved many of the things I desired, and she was patient while I explored what seemed like half of the store’s couch inventory. Ultimately, she helped me pick a couch, three barstools I needed for my counter, a rug for the living room that she personally gifted to a relative, and a great pillow that she herself uses. Fast forward about a month, I am beyond satisfied with my experience. I love every item I have purchased, especially my sectional. If I’m ever in the market for more furniture, Raeann is the first person I will go to. Highly knowledgeable, great taste, and very considerate to my picky selection methods.

We've purchased a couple of pieces from Ashley and we've been happy with their service each time. In the last 3 months, we purchased a Purple mattress from Dan. That journey took us at least 2 visits before we pulled the trigger and the whole time we were researching and waiting for the right time for us, Dan was nothing but supportive and understanding. He met us where we were in the buying process and help make sure that we got the best bed for us. All in all, of you're looking for a bed, we'd not only recommend a Purple, but we'd recommend Dan and his expertise and solution approach to sales.

72 hour return policy after delivery date. The people at customer service were kind but the policy is ridiculous.
This whole team at Ashley fargo store, starting with the Manager Barry Olson are magnanimosly compassionate and Phenomenal.It just goes to show you at this store they treat the community ,like family. They follow the mangers(Berry Olsen) example. He is a shining example of a person with compassion and kindness to others. He also surronds himself with people just like him.Jarrid Danilson (I have bought the best purple mattress and frame, he was so helpfull with information to use all of the gagets it came with)He with the help of Bob Brant helped a child who is seven; who was violated get a new bed through a program at Ashley.The staff Heather Ertelt, (Thanks for getting me the information of all who donated), Jan Krauter, Dan Wavra, Reanne Zander(Sold me furnature that I love, she is so nice)Nicole Buckmeier,Randy Doden, Jake Brock,Isabella Ahmed and Julie Stenen all donated so we could replace all the girls stuff the police took. Through their help we replaced bed, headbord, matteress protector, sheets, comforter and pillow cases, pillows, clothes, pajamas 3ft bear for her to cuddle, Toys, Markers.She will have a new start without items that may trigger her.Because of the help with all those items she needed our group MacKenzies Butterfilies were able to provied for her and other 4 siblings to have a fresh start at a new place and have a wonderfull Christmas. I really appriciate Ashley Furniture and the staff. I really could not believe after talking with Heather ( Who is a member of MacKinzies Butterflies) that the staff wanted to help too. I will always go to Ashley where the staff and salespeople care more about people then the bottom line. The staff has donated before to our Christmas angels project, Baskets of hope project for the Ymca and much more. Some our members (Heather and Isabella) work at Ashley. The staff is Simply phenomenal.

Worst furniture purchasing experience of my life ! Do NOT buy anything with Ashley - The service is HORRIBLE while the furniture quality is AWFUL ! I wasted close to $2,500.00. don't do the same mistake. Go elsewhere, to a store where you will be respected and receive actual quality furniture, the furniture you ordered, on time, and in a proper and functioning condition. I ordered a living room set of furniture that was supposed to arrive on a certain date. However, when I kept calling a week prior nobody was able to confirm anything because the store and chain computers were malfunctioning for SEVEN days straight. Once I finally got most of my furniture, the recliner seat was missing. Again, after much chaos and lack of ability to locate it, once it was finally found, service was supposed to happen on a Friday. However, I was delivered the wrong recliner from a wrong set and the delivery guys were beyond rude and refused to take the wrong recliner back telling me that the people who will exchange it will return it. When I reached a supervisor, because my sales person person was of course off that day, and told them I've had enough, they magically found the correct recliner and we scheduled a delivery within 2 hours because I had a meeting. 20 minutes later I received a call from another delivery guy who stated he was on his way and will be in my house in 10 minutes and cannot wait for 2 hours because he had other stuff to do. At which point I had to drive back and cancel my meeting. TWENTY ONE days after receiving my furniture, there are already multiple issues with the 3 piece couch. first, the middle seat is SINKING when you sit on it. In less than THREE weeks ! Second, there is a piece of fabric falling from behind the couch. When I spoke to the customer representative she told me they wouldn't exchange the couch, had a lot of attitude towards me, found my predicament funny, offered me a 10% refund to live with the faulty couch, told me they can send a technician but also explained she has no dates available and would need to call me back, and when I asked for a supervisor - refused to let me speak to one while she Informed me that there is no need for a supervisor because they would tell me the same. The onion of our conversation was when she explained to me that the insurance I paid more than $200.00 for was actually not with Ashley but with a third party. Great revelation for the moment. She also informed me that I can simply hang up and call them instead. She was so rude ! Horrible standard of service and trash product for $2,500.00. Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs ! GO to a place where you will be respected, get the furniture you actually ordered, on time, and without issues. Ashley is NOT the place to buy furniture, or anything else for that matter ! I fully intend on filing a lawsuit against Ashley in small claims court unless the matter is fixed in full on or before January 15, 2024, as well as to file a complaint with the FTC for fraud and sale of faulty products and the unwillingness to reimburse clients for the above-mentioned faulty products.

My husband and I went in with oddly specific requests for a 3-seater couch and recliner combination, and were pleasantly surprised by Nicole’s dedication to making sure we were satisfied with what we were buying. We felt as though Nicole guided us through the best options available based on the criteria we gave, and ended up finding the perfect combination for our family! Nicole and all the other staff were also happy to help entertain our 4 year old daughter, allowing her to color pictures, try out all the furniture, and interact with the rest of the staff at the store. They truly made this a memorable and enjoyable experience for our family!

Spent over 9k between living room and dinning room within a year almost everything was falling apart have Insurance so called made claim they took half of my couch they said for 2 weeks I was without half a couch for 2 months they returned it with nothing fixed trash product and company
Hello! I recently purchased a recliner, and a loveseat. Our salesperson RaeAnn was absolutely wonderful. She was very easygoing with conversations, and helped us find the right recliner (which was our reason to come in). She wasn’t pushy. That’s probably why I’m also unsure about furniture shopping. She was very relaxed, and gave us all the information facts we needed to know before deciding to go on with our purchase. I have to say she was very knowledgeable, kind, and very professional. My husband and I were out looking for furniture. I had to one store prior found nothing. I walked into Ashely thinking the same thing. As we walked in Jason and Nichole who was training greeted us with a huge smile. I felt very welcome in the store. I was then sure I was going to find something. Jason made us laugh and joked with us it was amazing. I did not feel like I was just another sale. They made us feel like friends that just had not seen each other in years. So far, NOT good. Will update. They gave us the wrong couch and are now saying ours is backlogged out by an unknown amount of weeks. We already waited 2wks FOR delivery. Our agent, Mike, brushed over our concerns and promised a call back the following day which never happened. When WE made contact, he claimed they needed another day before they could re-process our order. Now we’re waiting again. Very upsetting.

Had a good no pressure experience. Jason was excellent and seemed more interested in us getting what we wanted rather than us settling with something we would regret later. When we had issues taking delivery of a sofa that was too big for our door he was immediately available with alternatives.

Picked up furniture from back room warehouse the day after purchase and the guys working were really rude and demanded I move my vehicle before I could strap down my merchandise. Then drove 8hrs round trip to pick up addition 2 chairs and one is cracked with water marks down the back. Table leg has cracks in it and a missing screw fell out of one of my couches. I contacted the manager within 48hrs and have not received a call back or plan of action to fix or replace broken furniture.
I was looking for a bench to finish our dining room table. We found it but it was part of a clearance set. Jason didn’t think he’d be able to sell just the bench. Managers had left for the day and we felt so sad. But then, Jason came through. He made calls. Did some digging and we were able to walk out with the dining bench of our dreams thanks to him. He was polite, courteous, and helped us find exactly what we wanted. I’d recommend Jason to anyone looking for furniture. Go seek him at Ashley Furniture today.

Bought a dining set for $2500 that only lasted about a year until it started falling apart. The legs on the chairs are so loose, I don't dare have anyone sit in them. Went to their showroom, they are not concerned with my customer satisfaction at all, they got the money and that's all that matters to them. Extremely beautiful, extremely low quality furniture. I will buy nothing from Ashley ever again. And, as usual, buying the extended warranty is a big joke. Don't waste money on that either.

I’ve reached out to Ashley furniture 6 times regarding a purchase I made with them. They won’t call me back or communicate with me at all about the situation. I purchased a brand new sectional which was delivered destroyed, and they replaced a part of the sectional and the second sectional they brought to me has been making squeaking noises anytime you move and it’s falling apart. I’ve only had it for few months. I’ve reached out to get it replaced or store credit and they won’t call me back.
I do not recommend Ashley furniture on anyone. We ordered a couch and desk for our new home and was told 6-8 weeks for delivery. Annoying but no big deal. Fast forward two months of not hearing anything, was told the earliest I could expect my order would be another 2 months. Minimum. Was not offered anything for the trouble or apologies on the delay. Point being that waiting 4-5 months for a single couch and a single desk is outrageous. Cancelled my order after two months of waiting, plan to be going else where even if it costs more for better service. I feel dumb even having waited this long before cancelling.

We wandered in to Ashley the day after moving to Fargo. We were exhausted and probably a little cranky. Jason Stein helped us out. He listened to our ridiculous and probably confusing list of wants and don’t wants, and took us directly to the perfect furniture. We made him work hard… we still walked throughout the store several times… but eventually came back to that first sofa set. Jason had a fantastic sense of humor and was incredibly cheerful. We know we can be a handful, but he took it all in stride and became one of our new favorite persons!! We would shop Ashley again and again, and we will ask for Jason every time!

So my wife and I were looking for a twin xl mattress for oue oldest son. We use the internet to see whats out there, to shop. Ashley caught out eye so we went into speak with the manager. We are able to pay up front for the mattress buy need it shipped to the store and we can pick it up. Ashley had a warehouse so why not. Long story short the price only is good online and we would need to have it shipped to our home. We live in an apartment so having the mattress delivered there isn't a choice we can do. Thefts are high and well thats it. Seems like more places are not helping the average customer . Its almost like we don't matter. We wont shop at Ashley in the future so they don't need to worry about our business not meeting their ideas what good customer service is.
Jason Stein helped us with our most recent purchase. He was so amazing. Jason really knows the merchandise in the store and was able to show us things we fell in love with right away after carefully listening to our needs. We appreciated his ability to work quickly and show us different options for paying for items so that we could get the items we wanted for the best deal. Great experience at Ashley. We worked with Jason, told him what we were looking for an our price range. We also explained what pets we have, so what type of material we were looking for etc. He helped us find what we were looking for and exactly at the price we were looking for. He was helpful without being pushy. Furniture was delivered a few days later, delivery people were polite and friendly as well. AND our reclining loveseat is SUPER comfy! Overall a fantastic experience!!

I have purchased a bed set with a nightstand with it. I have purchased some of the furniture previously. This time I actually paid them extra $150 to come and have my bed frame to be fix. They called 2 hours before showing up they are coming today, no advance notice, the room wasn’t ready, asked if they can come later to place and fix it, stated they can’t do it and left the furniture on doorsteps. Asked to store to refund $150 because no service was done. Now the store said they can’t refund it and no reason at all. Worst service ever I got from big store. Never going back again.

Dont shop here! I ordered a bed in Jan 2023 with a 4 to 6 week deliver time frame and it's still not here! The bed came in damaged and they reordered it. I have been told 3 different days it will be coming and at one point was told they couldnt even see when it was coming in! Very unprofessional. It's been around 12 weeks and still no bed.
Horrible place. We bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture from Ashley’s stores in Michigan and Grand Forks and never had issues. However over the last year or so the customer service had went down hell. We bought a coffee table that had the paint scoffed off within days. Took upward of 20 calls to get it replaced only to have same issue. 20 or so more calls to have replaced only to have one ordered for us that took 4 months to be delivered: and it was defective. Have been calling the store since they delivered it and they keep claiming manager is out on vacation. For months! Never doing business with them again! Stay away.
I ordered a table and chairs online. In Dec 22 I noticed damage. A tech came out Dec. 27th, took pictures & said he would send them to warranty and they would call me. After a week and a half, no call, so I called them. I must have talked to at least 6 people and no one knew anything. The tech did not send in the pics. They said they'd call me back. 3 days, no call. This happened at least 7 times. NO ONE EVER called me back. Finally, in mid February, I called and actually scheduled a pick up of the table. They picked it up 2/25. It is now 3/28 and no refund. Same thing has happened, no one at customer service knew anything about my returned table. No one ever called back when they said they would. Beginning of March I went into the Ashley store here in Fargo (it was an ONLINE ORDER, not their problem). Heather was great, she started sending emails to her contacts to help me, even though it was online sales responsibility to help me, not employees in the store. Heather kept in touch with me by calling (unlike online customer service) and letting me know what steps she has taken. I have been in tears of frustration about this situation. All the time on hold, all the no calls back, no one seeming to care. Last Saturday I called the Fargo store and talked to Barry the manager. He apologized profusely, and I told him it was not his fault, it was online and corporate. He sent a biting email to some corporate people. It is now Tues 3/28, and no response from the online sales department regarding my refund. I give up. Heather, Barry, and Sean at the Fargo store helped me so much, they were supportive, and really tried to get an answer for me. They were awesome (unlike anyone on the phone with online customer service or online sales). I am going to print out the calls I made to customer service, the time I was on the line, and how many times they called me back, which was NEVER, and add up the time I lost. What a circle jerk. Corporate needs to evaluate their online service, because it is a joke. Today, I finally contacted the ND Attorney General. Thanks again to Heather, Barry, and Sean at the Fargo store, they are the only ones in my opinion that have integrity at Ashley. 3/29/2023 Still no communication from the online customer service or corporate (Surprise Surprise) regarding my horrible experience & still no refund. DO NOT ORDER ASHLEY ONLINE! Go into the store, the employees there will take care of you without any problems. 3/30/2023 After thinking about this overnight, I changed this to a 5 star rating. However, THIS 5 STAR RATING IS FOR THE FARGO STORE, they were the only ones to try help me. Specifically Heather, Barry, and Sean. They helped my when no one from the online sales, customer service, or corporate would. I would give online sales, online customer service, and corporate 0 STARS. Still not a word from anyone about my refund. It has been 5 weeks since they picked up my damaged table. But, this whole process started Dec. 27, when the tech came out to take pictures. Unacceptable. I am going to be contacting a lawyer today. I will be pursuing my full refund, and monetary damages for the treatment I have had to endure, the hours on hold, the stress and frustration and no refund issued, all due to Online sales, customer service, and corporates dereliction of duty. 3/30/2023 I just filed a complaint with the BBB. Case ID#19876387. Oh, and still no communication from Online customer service or corporate. 03/31/2023 No communication from online sales or corporate. I can't believe the incompetence of this company and the 0 customer service they provide. I checked my phone, the last call I received from ANYONE at Ashley was February 14th, and that was regarding the scheduling of the pickup of my table. 0 calls back. 0! I just want an actual human to contact me! NOTHING. I called the Fargo store and talked to Heather, I was crying I am so frustrated. It has been 5 weeks. Not ok.
Went to just plan out a couple near future purchases of a new bed and couch and was just blown away at how nice and helpful Dan and Randy were in those departments! Will definitely be back when the time is right to work with them again.

I bought some furniture a while back and bought a protection plan. The company denied the claim and I went into the store. I spoke to the office lady Heather and she was so helpful in trying to get our piece replaced. Then the store manager Barry came oit of his office and spoke to me. Terrible customer service. After receiving wrong information from the sales associate on expected delivery I ended up having to use patio furniture in my living room for a month and buying an air mattress for Christmas guests. I spoke with 6-7 people throughout the month, none of which were able to help me. I canceled my order and will be spending my money elsewhere.

We just purchased a patio conversation set from the showroom floor. Our salesperson, Lori, was the only one that came to check on us after sitting at a particular set for some time. She was not pushy on us purchasing anything, helped with measurements, and gave us a couple quotes. We weren't comfortable making a decision that day and wanted take pics of the two sets we were deciding between and make sure the pieces would fit. We ended up purchasing the next day, which was an off day for Lori, and she came to the store to help with the transaction and load a couple pieces. Lori was great to work with. Only had to put one piece together (directions were not great) and will have to swap out the arm rests on another piece as they were put on the wrong sides.

Awful customer service. We had furniture delivered back in May, and when it was delivered they broke our door and now it won’t shut. As we all know, North Dakota can get a breezy at times - which isn’t too great if you have a screen door that won’t shut. We’ve been trying literally for months now to get a hold of someone to get this resolved, and every time we get told that “a manager will call you as soon as they can.” You think after spending over four grand at their store that they would care a little more.

We absolutely loved working with Caiden! He was patient and listened to what we wanted and I swear showed me everything in the store because of how picky I am. Never once seeming annoyed. Very genuine of a person. The entire process was easy and everyone we have dealt with at Ashley have been great! When we have more furniture needs in the future Caiden will be the first person we contact! Thank you so much! Edit: Caiden was no longer with the company when we went back this time. We got some arrogant guy and did not enjoy our experience. No one ever called to even tell us our furniture had come in.

Purchased a table. It was just what we wanted at a fair price. We actually purchased it at Unclaimed Freight Furniture. The two are affiliated. The price had gone up $200 between looking & purchasing. Be sure to ask for their best price, as they change often, especially on weekends.

I came in on Christmas Eve Morning. I had the pleasure of meeting a respectful helpful Gentlemen. He even whent our of his way to help me out... Shawn Wanner From Fargo North Dakota! If you are looking to buy from Ashley's might I Suggest taking you time and asking for Him. Above and beyond his duty at the store. I left my Id at the counter he Hand Delivered it back to my house! Absolutely Phenomenal customer service! Thank you Shawn for one of the best shopping experiences I have had in a while!!!
My husband and I wandered around this entire store for over an hour. We passed at least half a dozen employees that were standing around talking to one another. The clearly noticed us, yet said not a word to us, nor asked if we needed help finding anything. I also noticed at least 4 other groups of people and couples in the same predicament as us. Not sure who to ask for assistance from, as usually in furniture stores you are greeted by a sales person who can help you. It is expected that the people on the floor are already helping someone so it is rude to take them away from the customers they are assisting. As far as we could tell though, none of the employees were assisting any of the customers in the entire store. Again though, it is their job to ask if their customers need help not the customers' job to ask "are you busy? Can you help me?" In a store that is 100% sales employee run and you can't even purchase product without the aid of a sales associate. After we walked the whole store struggling to find what we went in for we decided to take our business elsewhere as Ashley HomeStore clearly wasn't interested in selling anything to us anyhow. I will never shop at another Ashley HomeStore, they have made it clear that they have no interest in running a business.

The guy at the desk was very careful on what information was given and in making sure I was the right person picking up the product. They two guys loading my truck were very helpful and very careful with the product when loading.

We stopped by to look at sofas and had been struggling to find a configuration that would work with our floorplan. Although the store was busy Amanda (Ingerson) made a point to greet us and let us know she was available. She allowed us time to shop and when we were ready she made time to talk through what we liked, what our needs were and ultimately providing a unique option that works perfectly for us. Fresh in from NYC, our family needed quality, comfortable furniture for living and bedroom areas in our home. After scouting out a variety of area stores, we settled on Ashley and are glad we did. It was a no-pressure, helpful buying experience thanks to Paula Kenyon! If you get the chance to ask for her, you should do it.
Disappointed. I purchased a bedroom set that was in stock so I didn’t have to wait 2-4 months. Was told an invoice would be emailed for confirmation. Nope. Day of delivery comes and the invoice had the wrong set listed. Called store and was assured it was correct. It was not. Wrong set. Called again. I now need to wait an additional 2 weeks before an “available” delivery date is open AND 2 months before the last piece arrives. No apology until I said that I was very upset. No attempt to deliver or offer options. My old bedroom set is gone and hauled away…I guess boxes will have to do until September!

Amanda helped my wife and me look for a new couch. We were very particular on what style of couch we wanted as well as the size. Amanda showed us the Kestrel sofa and we loved it. We went with the Kestrel w/chaise sofa and a matching chair. Thank you Amanda for helping us find our couch!
Very stressful delivery and customer service experience. Had paid about 1200 dollars for a couch over the course of 3 months. The couch was delivered on June 20, 2020, in the pouring rain. The couch was basically dropped off on my doorstep (which isn’t the issue), the issue is that they seem to not care that they were delivering a brand new couch in the pouring rain, that the packaging was subpar and the couch got damaged. There were not even willing to reschedule for a later time or date so the couch would not get damaged. I told them I did not want the couch anymore because it was basically not worth what I paid for. They did not take any type of responsibility and basically told me to “go screw myself,” because it is not their issue. If this is how they treat their customers and people who spend their hard earned money, don’t buy from them. Save your money for a company that actually cares about their products and customers.

Bought a few pieces from an associate named Sally. After giving us three different deliver dates the furniture came 6 weeks delayed and we were never notified when they finally came. We had to call the store only to find out they had been delivered to the warehouse and she didn’t call to let us know. Terrible customer service.

They offer you 10% OFF if you sign up with email. Then denies you when billed. Not only that but I paid for delivery & set up. They come out to our home and forget the plugs for the items. Tells us we need to go into town to get our own plug? Wth was that extra cost for?

I am going to keep this short and simple. Yesterday my wife and I bought couches from Ashley Furniture in Fargo. This shopping experience was the best of I have been through in years. Not only did I like the choices but the sales team there blew me out of the water. Our Sales Person was named Shawn W. This guy was so knowledgeable, not the typical clingy salesman everyone is scared to run into, he made my choice easy. He even made sure I knew there was a veteran discount. He went out of his way to make sure I'm getting what I picked out he even sold me on the delivery because of what I bought. I thought Ashley had some kind of cram course sales training because how efficient Shawn was. No they don't and if they did I think you know who should be leading it. GOOD JOB Ashley.

After waiting over 3 months for furniture from another store, that still had no foreseeable delivery date, my husband and I decided to try our luck with another furniture store. We walked the floor and picked out a a bedroom and living room set that we liked. Shawn then helped us a gave us the great news everything we wanted was available right away! We went from not having furniture to a full bedroom and living room set within a week!
Paula was such a joy to work with. After we had been in there for about 10 minutes and no one helping us (we were looking for a sleeper sofa) , she saw us and asked if we were being helped. We told her no and she said, "I am so sorry, what can I help you find?" and she proceeded to help us find what we were looking for. :) she even looked on line to see if there was a better price online. Thank you Paula for all your help and your willingness to go above and beyond.
Well this is a continuation from a previous post. I gave this business a 1 star review due to my experience with Ashley. I bumped it up to a few stars because they contacted me and took care of my problem. Well there won't be a change this time. The furniture I bought failed and continued to do so. Had a "repair" person come out and his answer was re-stuffing my chair. I informed him that the mechanical slider was failing. Well nothing was done and I went back to my store for a total return. The manager said he was going to honor it. I'm still waiting. In the meantime my wife's chair mechanical slider failed. Went through guardian and in short we were turned down saying t wasn't covered despite that we bought the platinum plan. Despite it says it does. I been waiting to return my chair since November and yet it's still here. Now Ashley since we were again lied too about our guardian coverage that we paid $260.00 for we would like to return everything we bought. I'm very disappointed to say the least. My chair isn't comfortable and hasn't been since the re-stuffing and it's broke. (Thank you) Being disabled and telling the sales person they knew I needed a reliable chair. I'm beginning to think it's all about the sale rather than the customer. 3/26/2021 update: Well after waiting for 2 months to get someone out to our home to "repair" our chair(s) as we were told, that didn't happen. All that did happen was that yes a repair tech did come out - but all he did was took pictures of said damage and the model/serial number of the chairs. Called Ashley's customer service talked to "Harlana" after the service tech left. All she told me was this is Guardian's problem and not hers. Tried to explain the problem abut in short she passed the buck. Asked if we can return our furniture - she didn't want to talk about it. Asked for a supervisor and that's when she hung up. Again thanks Ashley for nothing - Please take your failed furniture back this isn't how you treat customers. Waiting for 2 months and nothing was said that we're going to take pictures just to leave you hang for yet another undermined amount of time. Oh yes I did reply to Ashley's customer service as they wrote 3 days after they posted their reply - I've yet to hear back. Recommend DO NOT BUY from them - you'll regret it like we are doing now. 6/8/2021 The saga continues: First I would like to say that I finally found a customer service rep who understood my frustrations after the "insurance company" just offered to replace our chairs. However we were only given the amount that we paid for both chairs. Which sounds fair but little did we know that the amount they gave us didn't cover the replacement of one chair. So according to Ashley's home store and the insurance company they were good with one of us sitting in a chair while the other I guess ends up sitting on the floor. The way I look at it is this - it shouldn't matter what we paid for the chairs, if you offer to replace them and wash you hands on us because it's "cheaper" for you as a company then man up and replace both chairs. Now with that said we didn't take that offer. We had the company repair what's broke because had we done so there would have been no more warranty. So we waited it out for parts to come in which they did and called Guardian to schedule a repair tech to come out. So on 5/21/2021 our recliners were once again working. Some months later after we filed our claim. So I was going to come back here and give you all a follow up but decided to wait. Glad I did and ever glad we didn't take the "replacement" recliner offer because once again their yes Ashley's product failed. No it's not mechanical this time but structure. The entire back snapped clean off when I reclined back last nite. 16 days of enjoyment is all I got since the mechanical reclining structure was replaced. So now we'll see how long this "song and dance" is going to take. Again I can't begin to tell you the amount of frustration I have personally endured with this company.

Can’t say I am impressed with any part of my experience. I ordered a leather couch and recliner with a tv stand back on July 6th of this year. I was given an original arrival date of September 1st for everything, and was told that the tv stand was already in warehouse and could be shipped right away. Fast forward to the middle of September and I have not received one phone call about the furniture I had ordered. I called the store and they sent me to the warehouse, which I find out the couch had arrived weeks ago and the tv stand had already been there. So I scheduled a delivery, I get the furniture the third week of September and the tv stand was completely damaged and the couch had scratches on the cushions, and scuff marks on the leg. I sent back the tv stand and was told that I would be contacted the following Wednesday to reschedule delivery for another. Wednesday comes and passes, and the next with no word. So I call and canceled the tv stand and purchased one elsewhere. I was told a receipt of return would be mailed to me and nothing yet to this day, and my chair I ordered hasn’t arrived yet even though the original ETA was September 1st then went to October 1st and on the 30th of October I called again, to find it still had not arrived but was is transit and should be here in 2 days and will be called in for delivery.. it’s now NOVEMBER 13th and I have not received a call on something that should have been in over two months ago.
The salesman Will was good but that is the only good thing I can say. When delivered they only brought half so then they said next week but then it stormed so it was supposed to be delivered but never show so I called but of course just got the run around management their SUCKS cause he can't do anything about it then maybe they need different manager so now I have to wait another week which will 4 weeks. Won't go back!!
Disappointed that masks were not required as people were also laying face down, kids crawling all over the furniture with there faces into the fabric.... in Minnesota you aren’t even allowed to sit “try” anything out. I’m short and need a petite option so I only shopped to be able to measure this..... Beth, the salesperson was wonderful. If it weren’t for Beth, and a previously wonderful experience with Tylor, Travis.... I would have turned around and walked out of there. Just disappointed in no regard for other’s health, not even for there own staff. Update Ashley reached out and will forward these concerns. I’m writing this as this speaks volumes. Other reviews I’ve written there has been no response. Especially the bad ones. THIS is why reviews should be written. For business to explore avenues of improving; changes or keep doing what they are doing.

Wait all day for the delivery kid, then he calls you repetitively with attitude when your furniture shows up. You spent $2000 on furniture and apparently their delivery only covers towards the doorstep. If you like your furniture to be inside your house, I may suggest going somewhere else with your $2000. What a joke.

We needed to furnish a new home and Barry ensured that our experience was seamless. Highly recommend! They even allowed us to shop before the store opened with a private appointment! The other staff members in the store were also very friendly and helpful.
We purchase a sectional from the store. We worked with Cody Fruehling and he was fantastic. We had the sectional delivered and to no fault of the store we did not like it. Cody has been great through exchanging for a new one. We are excited for the new sectional to be delivered.

My husband and I have had the worst experience with Ashley furniture. The wrong furniture was delivered to our home, as well as damaged furniture. Trying to get a hold of someone to take care of the issues and be compensated has been almost impossible, playing phone tag with delivery, customer service, and the store itself. I would not recommend shopping or buying here.
I'm really disappointed I came to Ashley's tonight hoping to buy a couch and there was four people at the desk just talking amonst each other didn't seem interested in helping us at all we were the ones who had to go back and forth to the desk asking if they had certian couches and multiple questions . No one approaches and they seemed bother just us asking them question not costumer friendly at all. Really annoying especially when it's your job . Eventually we We just walked out and we weren't even being rude or anything .

Huge store that takes a while to get through and see everything. You get greeted by a salesman right away when you walk in and they continually seek you out in the store numerous times if you are just browsing. I did not find the desk I was looking for and could not find anything that was a good substitute. Clearance is scattered around. I was surprised to get an alternative price on things that I showed interest in. It never occurred to me that the salesperson can give you a lower price than the ticketed sale price in a retail furniture store. Overall there is a lot of nice furniture, accessories and decor to see.

Yesterday I went in with my future mother in law looking for a new bedroom set. Found the perfect one after searching all the furniture stores in town. We came back bought this set from Heather who is fantastic to work with and I will definitely be back for future shopping. She is very understanding and easy to work with.
Fantastic service and products. We've purchased a sofa and a loveseat. The loveseat was slightly damaged and they replaced it in under 48 hours with minimal questions asked. I highly recommend Ashley HomeStore and FurnitureMart.

Tyson was a great salesperson but from the assistant manager to delivery and customer support awful. Really didnt know what was going on. I should get my final delivery tmr that will complete my order. After 3 different deliveries. (Frustrating) But I will never buy from Ashley furniture again.

I went to 3 furniture stores in Fargo looking for a recliner. I was met at the Ashley store by Heather Ertelt, who listened to what I was looking for, and directed me to a chair that fit all my requirements and fit my body frame comfortably. She was pleasant, and very helpful, but not pushy. After looking at two other stores, I came back and purchased the recliner she showed me originally. In addition my sister, who was with me, was also helped by Heather. She found her a recliner sofa and chair that met all her requirements. Customer service was excellent!
If you enjoy long, eerie, stalker vibe walks through the aisles of poorly placed furniture, then this store is for you. Peaking around every corner or sitting on the couch next to the set you are looking at will be your stalker salesman, pretending to be invisible until you start talking to your significant other about the couch. At this point, they will pounce and give you every, unneeded detail about the purchase of that couch. Once you fight off that stalking episode and move on through out the store you will continue to get a creepy feeling that you are being watched until you turn around and find your salesman right behind you to yet again explain another couch that you were slightly interested in but didn't care for any details that will be forced down your throat. Fortunately, for this salesman, we had just moved and needed a couch so we did end up purchasing one and he got his sale he stalked so hard for. But guess what, the stalking didn't end after we left the Ashley's Frequent Stalker store. A few days after our couch was delivered I continued to receive personal texts from the salesman's personal phone regarding our purchase. I did not sign up for stalking text messages from the greedy stalker salesman but apparently when you are a stalker there are no boundaries. These text messages consisted of requesting us to pick up our order, which had already been delivered and I was sitting on the delivered couch at the time of this text. I informed the salesman of this and after some back and forth he finally admitted I was correct, we did receive our order. Thank you captain "stalker" obvious! After this, I received a text again from this stalker salesmans private number, requesting we verify our purchase was picked up. I ignored these texts as it was starting to get ridiculous. A week later we decided to upgrade our warranty protection for our couch. My husband did this all via phone and our payment came out a few days later for this upgrade. BUT our stalker showed up AGAIN, a week later I get a text that we still owe money on our warranty upgrade. The amount the salesman quoted was less than we had previously paid. I sent a screenshot of our payment that had already been removed from our bank account. After this was sent, the stalker said he needed to verify with his manager and then recanted his statement and said I was correct, we had paid it in full. I questioned why the amount he quoted was less than we paid and how shady that was as now we feel over charged. I also informed the stalker that I never gave permission for him to text my personal number and that it needs to cease. All this shady, stalker did was apologize that I felt that way and will no longer message me. So in conclusion, if you want a location that doesn't value providing top "less stalker" customer service and you love long, eerie, stalker vibe walks through the aisles of poorly placed furniture, then this store is for you.

I love the couch, but the service was literally the worst I have ever experienced. We bought our couch from a lady named Heather and she said we would get a call that Thursday about it. A week went by and nothing. Two weeks and nothing again. So I called on the second week asking "Hey what's going on?" She said it was on back order and that she tired calling to tell me, but my voice mail box wasn't set up. Which is was, so she lied but whatever. She said it would be there that Saturday and I said Sweet! Well Saturday came... and no couch. I called and she said "Oh well you were supposed to set up the delivery date not me" Are you joking! I spent over $1,000 on a couch that was supposed to be here three weeks ago. I asked to speak with the General Manager, he was very sympathetic and said my couch will be there on 10/10 between noon and three. He also took off the delivery fee, which was kind of him. Well its finally here and the pillows were missing. I called "Ashley's Furniture" asking about the pillows. Heather said they came with the couch. The lady on the phone said they were not supposed to come with pillows, but I can come in and buy some. This whole process was a joke. At least I have my couch finally. I'll just buy pillows at TJ Maxx, no way am I coming back to Ashley's Furniture or ever recommending it.
I dread buying furniture almost as much as buying a car, but with William Pankow's help, it was easy, pleasant and fun! He asked what we were looking for, and as I described it, he led us to 2 perfect examples, (one of which we bought)! I had never been in this store before and now wish we had looked here earlier, as the furniture we purchased for our livingroom was not as comfortable as what we just purchased (for our basement) from William at Ashley!
Jared did a great job helping us pick out a mattress that would fit all our needs! He was very knowledgeable & patient as we tried to come to a decision. Heather also was open and honest with us while trying to pick out a bedroom set and tv stand. They were both easy to work with and would recommend them to anyone!

On 9-11-19 I entered Ashley Furniture in Fargo, ND and was greeted by the most helpful Tyson K. He listened to what I needed and made it his mission to help me find exactly what I needed for my mother who just went into the nursing home and a comfortable recliner was urgently needed. Tyson understood, took the time and care to find the right piece and make all the arrangements to make that happen for me. Jared was awesome with helping us find a mattress that fit our needs. He answered all of our questions without hesitation and helped us stay within our desired budget but still get a bed we're happy with. This was our first time shopping for a mattress as a married couple, and I think it'd be safe to say we'd come back here before looking anywhere else for a mattress.

We went to Ashley for the quality and service but what we received was far from that. We received the worst customer service and the furniture was definitely not the quality we expected. The staff does not communicate with one other and so there was so much back and forth between us and the them. We purchased our furniture, which included a bed set, mattresses and box spring, couches, dining table and a mirror, back in March and spent a lot of money at their store. The storage for our bed wasn’t put together for two months. The storage was left out in our bedroom floor which left little room to walk around and it caused my two year old to fall a couple times. We have been getting the run around from our sales rep, the customer care and service people. I have sat at home waiting for delivery on two occasions and no one shows or calls. When they finally did deliver the part for the storage, after we have waited two months for it, it was the wrong part. So they had to put in an order again which meant more waiting. The customer service staff was rude and argued with me regarding an appointment that they made. In addition to that, the part that she said was in back order was actually sitting in their warehouse. When she finally realized that she was wrong, she did not apologize. After that all, we finally decided to go with a different bed set due to issues with the other one. They were accommodating on that part. However, the new one was delivered just last weekend and it was not put together properly. The headboard makes sounds when we get in and out of bed. I am highly disappointed with Ashley furniture and the service.

My girlfriend and I went into to Ashley furniture for a tv stand and ended up buying our whole living room set for our new home! Not because we were pressured or persuaded but because our sales person, Josh, was so knowledgeable and kind. He was able to answer all of our questions instantly and informed us of all of the great sales the store had going on at the time. He was an absolute delight to work with and made our shopping experience better than we could have ever expected and we thank him very much!
Stopped in about a week ago after visiting quite a few other furniture stores. Met William P. who greeted me when I came in and asked what I was looking for. I gave him my specifications and he showed me a couple pieces. They were nice pieces but not exactly what I was looking for. He then asked if I had visited a specific other store, which I had, AND I had found a a set that I really liked there but I didn't want the whole set. The other store told me that it came only as a full bundle, to my dismay. William, on the other hand, asked if i had the SKU for that set which I did. He looked it up in his system, saw they carried that set as well, and informed me that they could, in fact, sell me some of the individual pieces like I wanted. I ended up buying from Ashley and got a price $50 lower than what the other store would have charged me if they had let me buy only the pieces I wanted.

Extremely disappointed with my furniture purchase. Excited to be buying new living room set with reclining sofa only to have to sofa stop reclining after 2 months of having it!!! Then I've had to leave work early three different times while they have tried figuring out what's wrong with it! As a single mom needing trustworthy service I'm never shopping there again!!! Edit: he has to come back again!!!

Got a sofa and love seat in a perfect color and just over $800 with delivery and 5 year warranty!! I will never buy furniture from anywhere else again! We are now forever customers!

Will never buy from here again. I bought a powered recliner,when I got home the power cord was missing I contacted the sales man. I was told it would be in the mail the next day so I was happy with that. It didnt show up so after a few days I contacted him again and was told it was shipped he refused to give me a tracking number to prove he shipped it. 11 days later is shows up so I typed the tracking number in and he shipped it the previous day before it showed up. So he lied to me for over a week saying he had shipped it.

I have been working with Rome Harris to purchase a new bed set. The first initial meeting he greeted us right away. We were interested in a particular set and he immediately offered to get us numbers for the cash and finance options. The set came and after it was set up I noticed several things wrong. I texted Rome and without hesitation offered to order new pieces. I went into the store to meet with him and voice my concerns. Both Rome and the manager assured me they would personally do a quality check on the pieces before they are delivered to me. I was so impressed with their level of customer service. I will definitely go back the next time I am looking for a furniture upgrade.

Mike (delivery crew) and his wife are absolutely amazing and wonderful! I was originally told that my daughter's bed wouldnt be able to be put together until Tuesday of next week and they showed up on Thursday and it looks amazing! Then I just mentioned that her new desk had gotten chipped upon delivery as well and they came right back today to fix that as well. Wrote 11/02/2018 sorry a bit lengthy and probably definitely not very good grammar since I am super frustrated, but here it is. At this point I will never be buying from Ashley furniture. Ordered a split king adjustable bed, one of the mattress came in a black garbage bag tapped shut and the delivery guy said he didn’t wanna bring it but they said he had to and he would call and complain. They were quick to replace it which was good. However good that was we ordered a couch now from then and it came in with some snaggs in the leather and of course we brought it home before we noticed which is an hour away from the store. The customer service guy was quick to say yep we will reorder the couch and call you when it comes in since it’s a special order which was July 13th. I was getting married so I didn’t notice the time but in sept we realized we never got a call about our couch so we called the store and no one would return our calls or could tell us what was going on with our order. Finally found out the couch never got ordered and they were doing it now. Well the new couch came in and the manager we finally got to communicate with called us and told us it was in and he would deliver it for free to our house and he has looked over the couch and it is good to go. Checked to make sure the address was right and what not and got it schedualed. 2 days before delivery the delivery guy calls me and they got the wrong address so the time and day had to change. So finally delivery day comes and I get a call to inform me the couch Is damaged and they will not be delivering it and reordering the couch.... We happened to be by the store so we went in and communicated our frustrations with the store manager and what happened. He agreed offer us some money off the couch and we agreed we would just be happy with what we got. And the check would be there 7 to 10 days since it was already paid off. Well 3 to 4 weeks later no check and we called to ask and again no one seemed to know what was going on and they had to ask the store manager which wasn’t In for a week... finally he is in they called us cuz they didn’t agree with what we said we were supposed to get. Luckily he gave us a receipt for the check. So I went to the store again and they said yep we will get the check out however the order was still open cuz the reorder didn’t get closed. They offered me the money off and the replacement couch. I was pretty happy but skeptical, So the replacement couch gets schduled to deliver and the check can’t be sent out tell it is. So last Friday nov 1st they call me and tell me they are not gonna deliver it cuz the couch is damaged :(. So I told him I am done dealing with this and I mostly worried that my couch is gonna rip more then it is but it isn’t terribly bad which they knew that from the start since we sent pictures. Now we apparently have a tech coming that can fix the spots to prevent that, and the refund check the store manager promised since we had already paid off the financing since it’s dang near 6 months since we purchased it. The lady called me today that was processing it told me she didn’t do the check since it was financed and sent it back to that.. so now after all this back and forth and promises not fufulled. I now gotta do more work and call the financing and get them to send me the check since the store can’t seam to figure it out. We shall see what happens with this tec Glen Update 11/17/2018 the store manager was contacted the same Day I wrote the above review. Was supposed to call me back never did. I reached out to the email from the people that replied to this review . have not heard anything and it’s been about a week. Also have not heard back about the tecs. My whole issue is that they don’t fallow thru on anything they say. I am happy with what they are saying they will do to try and fix the matter they just gotta fallow thru and communicate. Which they don’t Final update store manager found this review and gave me a call. December 3rd, he got the tech set up, it is all fixed as of the 7th 2018

We connected over pets/furniture and While we knew exactly what we wanted prior to setting foot in the store, I could not have been more confident in the choice we made. Thank you Joshua and the rest of the friendly folks at Ashley. We will definitely spread the word of your great service and keep you in mind for future purchases. Amazing service by two individuals, (Dan Wavra & Jared Danielson) who are located at the Fargo store located on 45th St S. They were prompt, courteous and extremely sensitive to the circumstances they were dealt (aunt w/dementia). They expedited delivery time lines to accommodate an aggressive move-in date too. Awesome two-some, thank you!
Updating my review from a 3-star to a 1-star. My husband and I purchased a couch from them beginning of August. They were unable to deliver due to the end piece being on back order. After being in the dark, we finally were told that the piece came in and were able to deliver end of August. When they came to deliver, the end piece turned up broken so we weren't able to have our complete sectional. They did give a $200 refund due to not keeping their word and we decided to move forward with a clean slate. The last piece was finally delivered September 15th and the piece they delivered had a tear in it that you could visibly see they tried gluing back together and did not mention it to us. Now, we receive our bill and besides giving us a $200 refund , they also added an extra $600 charge that was not authorized in anyway. TL;DR (too long, didnt read) This business is complete bullsh*t and go back their word. Save yourself the hassle and stress and buy your furniture elsewhere

We recently bought some furniture and had the good fortune of having Joshua O'Brien as our sales person. He takes customer service to a new level. He is very knowledgeable and was there every time we had a question or concern. Ashley Furniture is very lucky to have Joshua on their team.
Ordered 3 dressers, a mirror, 3 stools, a bed and box spring on August 8th. One dresser was delivered damaged and driver took it back and was told someone would follow up to schedule a new delivery for the damaged item. It is now September 10th and everytime I call I get the run around saying it's not paid or not in stock. Associate manager said hed do the charge credit form last week and never was complete so now I have to continue to wait for the one lady who can approve it. What a cluster. Also was told numerous times a item was in stock and when I went to pick up the their inventory program said in stock but was not in stock.
I went into the store to buy a loft bed and a bunk bed for my kids. I paid the entire balance of what was due at the time of purchase. When I went to pick up the two beds I was told that I needed to pay an additional $70. When I went up front nobody could tell me why I needed to pay an additional $70, even though I had paid the balance in full at the time of purchase. After bringing the items home, I found myself very busy as I was in the middle of starting up a new business. Approximately one week later I went to assemble the brand new beds and found that what was supposed to be a bunk bed was actually given to me as a loft bed. The store did nothing to resolve this issue, even though there were multiple problems throughout the entire sale on their end. Where did the mystery $70 come from? Nobody could give a clear answer. This store clearly lacks accountability and customer service. If you absolutely want to buy Ashley Furniture, do yourself a favor and go to one of the other stores that sell Ashley Furniture. Better yet, probably just go find a store that is separate from Ashley Furniture as a whole. It will probably give you the best chance of getting what you want and not having to deal with hassles like this. Edit - When you call and offer to take the stuff that you ordered wrong back with a restocking fee and charge me to order the stuff that I wanted you to order in the first place, that is a pretty shity deal to hear. Especially after you guys admitted that it was your mistake. So, I am supposed to pay for your mistake?
Went today to find a new couch and bedframe. Shopped around at a few other places came back because of Dan and Barry and the whole sales staff. They treat you right and are not pushy. I would highly recommend going to here especially with the price difference was less than a hundred bucks why not go where you will be treated right the first time. Awesome job guys👍.

My husband and I had an incredible experience at Ashley furniture in Fargo. We just bought our first home and needed quite a bit of furniture. We shopped at other furniture stores first (honestly because we thought Ashley was too expensive) but we felt so overwhelmed and left empty handed. That wasn’t the case at Ashley. Right when we walked in, Joshua greeted us and asked us what we were looking for. Joshua put us at ease and made the process actually fun! We were also surprised to see that the prices were very reasonable, if not cheaper than the other big name stores! Overall, it was a great experience. Thanks Joshua! Update on August 13th: So everything went great until delivery which was about a week ago.... we had our couch and kitchen table delivered to our house and they also set it up for us which was great. I noticed our kitchen table bench was missing so I asked the gentlemen helping. He said there was nothing left in the truck. He found out it was still at the warehouse so we could pick it up or they could deliver it... I asked for them to deliver it since we paid the delivery fee already. I called a few days ago and they said they could deliver it Monday. I never heard from them so I call today and they didn’t even know we needed a bench and there’s none available right now.

He was by far the most helpful person in our mattress searching process, and the least salesperson-ey guy. I would highly recommend the super knowledgeable staff at Ashley for your mattress needs!
Worst experience ever. I will not be purchasing from Ashley ever again. I purchased on Memorial day and it is now July 10th and I am looking at maybe getting the last of my furniture by the end of the month. I am on my fourth scheduled delivery of replacement furniture, because everything that I have gotten has had scratches/ dents and used furniture markers to cover it up. I have a gouge in my new front door from the delivery guys not covering up the door until after they damaged it. I have wasted over 12 hours of my leave from work to be available in there 4 hour delivery windows. My boss is having a hard time allowing me time off for something that should have been a one time deal. I DO NOT RECOMEND PURCHASING FURNITURE FROM THEM. COMPLETE JUNK. I wish I would have spent a little more on good stuff from HOME.
My husband and I purchased a mattress at Furniture Mart, and had the best experience with Chris! We were so thrilled to learn we could do same day pick up at the Ashley Home Furniture store. We went to get the mattress and they had helped load it in our vehicle. When we got home, we noticed it was the incorrect mattress. Frustrated, because we just moved a king sized mattress up a flight of stairs, we called our sales guy, Chris. He said he was going to reach out the warehouse asap as they were closing in just a half hour. They did not pick up, so we ran over knowing they were still open. When we got there, we explained the wrong mattress had be loaded onto our car, and we need our new one. Both workers looked confused and frustrated. They did not see how it was the wrong mattress, even though our sales person confirmed via phone they did in fact give us the wrong one. The manager, I presume, who went by the name "Boomer" had us walk through the warehouse to verify the correct mattress. When we got back to the desk, he then stated he had to make sure they had it in stock. Which made no sense since we just showed him the correct one, and verified matching codes ourselves! It was unbelievable. Disorganized doesn't not even begin to cover this experience. Obviously we are aware that mistakes happen, however it is not acceptable to not ONCE apologize for the massive inconvenience the warehouse workers had caused. That is the most disappointing part of this whole ordeal. No apology. They (the warehouse, pickup or delivery crew) are the end to the buying experience, and unfortunately, that is what will be remembered. We will not be continuing business with Furniture Mart, or Ashley Home.
We purchased a tv/fireplace and Josh O'Brien waited on us and did an excellent job answering all our questions and wasn't high pressure which we appreciate. He gave us time by ourselves to make the decision which fireplace to purchase.

Joshua O'Brien is super helpful, he took the time to make sure the mattress I was purchasing was just the right one for me (because I have severe back pain), although I couldn't get the exact one I wanted, he helped me find something that was comparable to my original choice! Just had two requirements, real wood instead of fiberboard and wanted the sides to bolt thru the headboard instead of the hook on style. The sales lady assured us we were getting both and we could return if needed (they didn't have one set up in the store) . Got it home and it was exactly what we didn't want! Now I'm told I cant return and the store manager won't call me back! Don't waste your time here. You will regret it!

I love going to Ashley for all my furniture! I came in today with my mom, who was looking for some end tables for her living room. She was just wanting to look around and see what the prices were. We were greeted right away and we told them we were just looking. They let us look at our own pace and once my mom found something she loved we asked for Amanda who we have worked with in the past. Amanda is so friendly and sweet. She’s honest about the prices and what pieces look best together. She was able to get us an amazing price that worked with our budget. Amanda is a 10/10!! This was our last stop after shopping at 3 other furniture locations. We spent some time walking around looking at what caught our eyes when William took some time to get to know us and what we were looking for. He then stopped back now and again to answer questions; eventually leading us to certain items we were looking for. He was super friendly and an awesome guy to talk with and joke around while we were shopping. Overall, my experience today went way better then expect and left with beautiful furniture.
Update: shopping was great, they want your money, BUT BEWARE, delivery/pickup is a nightmare! I paid two separate fees for delivery so that I could get my mattress next day but the mattress NEVER came and when I spoke with the manager, he wouldn't do a thing until I told him to just refund me all of my money and I would go elsewhere, he managed to get me my mattress, which was really great... but fast forward a week when I cancelled my other delivery in fear of the same thing happening, went to pick up my furniture after ensuring it was there for us... the warehouse had no idea where it was, and when I asked to speak to the manager Barry, I was told he "was busy." I will never ever do business here again. I have lots of other furnishings to purchase for our new home, but we are taking our business elsewhere! Joel was so super helpful with helping me find a reasonably priced mattress for my kiddo and didn't try to over sell me, and TJ was the most patient salesperson I have ever worked with and was so gracious as I set out to sit on every single grey sofa in the entire store before deciding, even moved accent chairs over to the sofa for me so I could get a visual of the patterns. Oh, and before i even came in i called ahead to see what delivery schedules were like and forgot, so the women (i forgot her name) googled my neighborhood to find my zip code FOR me so she could get me the most accurate information, I knew right then I would be heading in to make my purchase there. Only frustrating thing is that I had to pay two separate $59 delivery charges because the mattress was available "next day" but the sofas were not.

We were sold a TV stand where the doors were completely broke off. It was saran wrapped (no box) together without any hardware to assemble it or instructions on how to assemble it. Needless to say this is our first and last purchase at Ashley.
They are so irresponsible for delivering. people's time means nothing to them. They call at 6:00 am to let you know the time frame, but they never show up. You call them and they keep telling you in 5 minutes they will be there and guess what? they don't show up again, and after 5 hr they call you and cancel the delivery and postpone it to the other day. Other day comes and still the same story, you wait and wait and nothing happen. never will buy furniture from Ashley again.
I will never work with Ashley Home Store again - service is absolutely awful. Our drivers delivered a couch without a battery pack. Customer Care said it will take 1 - 2 weeks to deliver so after 2 and a half weeks I called. The agent said it looks like they ordered one, but the manufacturer needs the serial number which is under the foot rest. Without the battery I cant lift the footrest, but she said that was the only way to get the part ordered. I called the store we bought it from this morning to express my frustration and she was terrible. She didn't even apologize for the situation, simply said she can not help me and it has to go through customer care. Even when I said we are going to return it because of the hassle rather then saying "im sorry" she instead said you can't since it's been past 7 days. The absolute worst service I have ever dealt with. This was a $3000 couch and we were looking to redo all the bedrooms in our house, but I will NEVER work with Ashley again if this is how you treat customers.

After visiting six other places, we stopped at Ashley HomeStore, where we discovered two gems: first, a chase lounge (the only MidMod piece in the store), and Paddy --- our wonderful sales associate. [This rating is specifically for her] Paddy was so helpful and didn't pressure us at all. She gave us a ton of suggestions and tips on how to accessorize while adding life and color to our living room. There are two big things that we really appreciated when we went to the Ashley HomeStore after a day of mattress shopping. Firstly, of all the salespeople we encountered, Jared hit our Goldilocks Zone. He was not too eager hovering over us as we tried out mattresses; but he was also not aloof, he was around when we had questions. Secondly, when we had questions, he demonstrated expertise about mattress construction and the firmness/softness we need for our sleep styles.
Visited Fargo store on Friday, August 18th and was helped by Jared Danielson. We were looking for new mattresses for our bed. Jared did an awesome job. He is very personable, knowledgeable and very willing to assist with our needs. He explained the features of each brand carried in the store and made knowledgeable recommendations for our needs. My sales experience with my new bed was very enjoyable. I was helped by Jared and TJ. Not only were they friendly but they knew quite a bit about the material. They didn't just recommend a bed, they recommended a bed that fit you and your budget. The next day I came in to buy it and Joel was in the mattress department instead of Jared, but he was very thorough with explaining the payment process and how to set up the automatic payment online since I wasn't paying all at once. Even when I went to pick the mattress up, the warehouse guys in the back made an effort to see how everything went even though I was just there to pick the bed up. Definitely going here again because they know what they're doing and they're more than willing to explain it no matter how many times you ask.

Worst place to get furniture from in Fargo! Picked out a couch and they couldn't deliver it wrapped dragged it all over the floors of an apartment hallway. Even when it was ask to be wrapped. No one communicates in this company everyone is blaming somone back off, managers, warehouse. I will go back to slumberland at least they can wrap a couch in plastics to deliver it. Thank you!

We purchased some new furniture from our local Ashley Furniture store here in Fargo,N.D. Soon after our purchased we moved to a different location. After the move we noticed our new coffee table was missing a wheel. We called Ashley and they scheduled an associate to come to our new place to see the damage and make repairs. They send us Tom. We had not met anyone like Tom in years. He was so knowledgeable about our furniture and knew just what we needed. We have never laughed so much and felt so comfortable with someone we had just met. Tom has a personality surrounded with knowledge and a skill that many people can not top. It is rare to find such an amazing person that truly loves their job. Ashley furniture got lucky when they found him. He's so good with people and he has so much compassion. Thank you Ashley for having such an amazing person on your staff!!! Until our furniture was delivered, the whole process with this Ashley Furniture location was superior. Our salesman was excellent, we loved the sectional -- bravo to the store team! My only complaint goes to the warehouse/delivery staff. As soon as they arrived at my home, before even trying, they told me the sectional wouldn't fit down our stairs and hallway. They told me Ashley should have measured (which wasn't necessary), and again...that it wouldn't fit. They asked me if they should even try to get the furniture in (Well, yes, you're delivery men, right?). After one attempt they gave up, and left me with an ultimatum. They can take the furniture back now, and I ask the store for a refund/new selection, OR they'll leave it in the garage and let me try to do it. At this point, I knew they just wanted to leave and didn't care one way or the other -- they didn't even take time to brainstorm or try another lifting method. So I told them to leave the furniture. Well wouldn't you know...my Father-in-law came an hour later, and the two of us got the furniture in our downstairs room no problem. It looks beautiful there -- And to think they were pushing me to RETURN the furniture?! What a heartache to our salesman that wouldn't been. How many people do they do this with on a daily basis to avoid working a bit harder? They were only at my house over 10 minutes. I say this because it directly affects the stellar service I got from the store, and salespeople! We love the sofa though, thanks to the Fargo Staff!
experience with the store has not been good , purchased a lift chair, lift chair control stopped working , after calling Sioux Falls to schedule an appointment for someone to look at a the chair , it was 4weeks, then person came out took a picture of the control, then it took 5 more day for the tech report to be done, the ordered ,hopefully will get the new control in about 2 weeks, this time frame is to excessive for a person who needs a lift chair 24/7 . the company needs to inform customer that all customers that all services have to come from Sioux Falls and provided that number at the time of purchase

I have had nothing but trouble with this company! We ordered a couch and recliner and were told they would be in in a month, two months later we finally got our furniture! The couch they sent home with us, after a few weeks of waiting for a technician, was found to have been all bad wood! The tech pushes it through and says we should have a replacement in a few weeks! It took over a month to get the replacement couch due to the fact they had the wrong item delivered to us and failed to tell us the item was on back order! That brings me to today, we've had the replacement couch for about 4 months and now the wood for the back support is tearing a hole in our wall! We called and set up a date for the technician to come out and then today came and nothing, I called and got transferred 3 times to be told they were supposed to come out yesterday and that we were gonna have to reschedule for over a week later! There is no Customer service from this company, the don't make right the issues they cause they simply push them back!

Patrick and Moses with the #5 truck from Ashley HomeStore were AWESOME!!!! They delivered my furniture up some crazy stairs quickly, professionally, and carefully. They took time to help me figure out space and location of pieces and even took the time to show me how to assemble and disassemble things myself. They were personable and inviting too! I just moved to Fargo and they were helpful in showing me different aspects of the heaters here in my apartment and how to close them with my furniture next to the heater and why I should leave space if I leave the heater open (just moved from Florida, we don't have these things!). These two were such gentlemen! I appreciated how careful they were with everything and enjoyed just simple discussion with them too, they were very kind! Thank you for all of your hard work!!

We've been to Ashly Furniture a few times, and each time is always a pleasant experience. Today Jordan greeted us right away and introduced himself and made sure to let us know if we had any questions to find him and ask. We browsed for a bit and he gave us our space but was very attentive when we were ready to make our purchase. The store manager Barry also greeted us at the counter and made us feel welcome. They have reasonable deals and excellent products. Definitely 5 stars!

I am writing this review after attempting to reach out to the company both locally, and as a national brand with no return communication. The Fargo, ND is locally owned, and after several attempts to hear back from someone, my calls and e-mails have not been answered. My experience with Ashley Home Furniture begins Labor Day Weekend 2016. After visiting several other furniture retailers, we were happy to come across the Starmore bedroom set. That day, September 5th we purchased the entire Starmore collection, to include the queen-sized bed, chest of drawers, nightstand, dresser and mirror, and end table. Additionally, we purchased a new queen size mattress. During that interaction, we discussed the specific delivery date we required. October 14th was our closing date for our new home, and on that date, we wanted the new furniture set delivered. That was confirmed, by both parties. You can imagine our surprise when the 14th came, and we had not yet heard anything from Ashley Home Furniture or any associate. On October 14th, I physically went into the store and spoke with Wade our salesperson, asking for information about our delivery. He said, “Oh, didn’t I call you?” He had not. He informed us that the furniture had been oversold and was now on back order all the way into the new year for select pieces. You can imagine my shock, when we were informed this news, as no one had made any attempt to let us know the situation at hand. We were expecting furniture, which we had already paid for, as well as a mattress to be delivered. While I can understand that items being oversold is not within an associate’s control, communication on all fronts is. At this meeting in the store I was told someone would get back to me within 24 hours on any update. I did not hear from anyone. I called the store two days later asking for information. I left a message and my call was never returned. I AGAIN physically went into the store the first week in November, as we still did not have a delivery date, nor had I been contacted with any updates. A very similar interaction happened when I again went into the store location. Wade was surprised that no one had called me, and informed me the soonest we could possibly get furniture was after Thanksgiving. Keeping in mind, we had purchase this furniture September 5th. I did receive the furniture in question on November 16th. Here is where there is another issue. When the bed was delivered, they were missing the hardware pieces to assemble the bed. The delivery men informed me someone would call me 24-48 hours later to let me know the status of the missing hardware. On November 28th I again went into the store. Wade was working and at this point, again he was shocked no one had contacted me. He connected me with someone from delivery via the phone. She informed me they would have to order an entire NEW bedframe, as they could not just order the parts to assemble. At this point, Wade walked away and had us to talk to Barry the store manager. I explained the entire story to Barry including that our intention had been to purchase additional large items from Ashley, but based on this experience I have no faith in Ashley’s service. He did not at any time apologize to us for our inconvenience or do anything to rectify the situation. He said he would see what he would do, and connect with us the following day. November 29th at 8:45 pm, Barry called us to tell us he didn’t have any news, but since he said he would call that was what he is doing. Perhaps Ashley does not value my business, but I can assure you, I will not only never purchase from Ashley again. This is bad business, and there has been no communication, or apologies for lack of communication along the way. Based on this horrific experience and poor customer service, I will never shop with Ashley Furniture again.

I visited the store on 45th Ave in Fargo, N.D. shopping for accessories for our Living Room. Browsing through the store a young gentleman approached me offering his assist. I shared with him what I was looking for and probably the need to just browse. He had a very kind, calm, quiet manner. His approach was very relaxed which left me feeling a little more relaxed with my "mission". He directed me to the area I would be most apt to find what I was hunting for, pointed out a few items and then allowed me to hunt. He reapproached me after awhile and then assisted me with finalizing the items I was going to "try" at home. I was in a pickle with having just purchased lamps in an associated store, knowing the one lamp shade had a slight flaw. This store had the same lamps as the associated store and the shades had NO flaws😏 He did try to accommodate me with just switching out the shades. And yes, we were not able to do that but his attempt to assist me with that was very kind and much appreciated. His approach, his demeanor, his personality will take him far in working with customers in a calming, productive manner. I really enjoyed working with him. This is a beautiful store with very well made furniture! We don't recommend going anywhere else- don't even waste your time shopping around, this store has a multi-billion dollar name behind it for good reason! My husband and I stopped by to get an idea of how to furnish our basement. We were greeted immediately by a consultant, Will P. We told him we weren't planning on buying right away that day and he was still just as helpful and spent the time with us to show us all the options that met what we were looking for. Very knowledgeable on the warranty and financing options. We will definitely be coming back once we make our decision!

Went there for a bed. Joel was very knowledgeable on every bed in the store and took the time to explain all the features of each model. Being as it was the first store we stopped at, we tried another which had a slightly better rebate offer, but very poor service. So we went back, Joel helped us again, matched the other offer , and got us the delivery date of our choice. Very happy with the experience.
I have been to this store/ location multiple times! Pretty much my entire apartment is from here!! I have had great luck with finding beautiful furniture from this store. I have purchased a couch, table and chairs and a new fire place TV stand which we are in love with. I have never had a bad experience here! I have checked multiple stores around the area and always find myself coming back here! Great prices, Beautiful furniture and a great atmosphere. The staff is friendly and very knowledgeable! It's great when you have a vision for what you want your place to look like and to have great workers that can make that dream a reality. I have always worked with Sally at the store over there and she has been really great to us for the last few years. Anytime I am in the mood to change things up I know she will be able to help me!!! I also have had great luck with Travis that works in the mattress area. He has helped us with a bed for my husband and I and even a fun one for my 3 year old daughter!

My fiancé and I went to Ashley furniture a month prior to closing on our house. We found a couch and ordered it. The couch arrived at Ashley about two weeks before we moved. It was held there until it could be delivered. We received a call a day before the couch was to be delivered and were told they could only deliver half the couch because the other half was ordered in the wrong color. How that goes unnoticed for two weeks is beyond me. So instead of having our couch when we planned we waited another week and half for the couch to arrive at the store again. When we called to set up another delivery time they said they would not be able to have it delivered until at least a week into November. Not being able to wait this long I had to change my schedule and make arrangements to borrow a vehicle to pick up the couch myself. After all of this Ashley Furniture will no longer get our business.
Worst experience with any business EVER! The staff at this store is completely incompetent. We went in looking to buy section al sofa. I felt like I was in a car lot with sales people sharking around. This one woman asked if she could help us and we asked a question about a sofa but then she left to help the customer she was working with. Then 3 other people asked if they could help us but since we were "tagged" they just ignored us. We sat around waiting for 40 minutes then left. I came back a week later to buy our selection. We rented a truck so that we could pick up the sofa. They told me there were 2 of the 4 pieces in stock and they would deliver the rest in 7-10 days. I drove to the back and the warehouse guy said they weren't in stock. Went back and forth 3 times finally he said they had to "release" the items at the front of the store. Got a call today (10 days later): the rest of my furniture was there to pick up???? Completely incompetent. So now, I have to wait over 2 more weeks to get it delivered.
Great place! Bought a mattress and so far I am very impressed! the store manager is a very cool and nice person. I left the store a happy customer. The manager directly helped me out with everything and answered all the questions I had patiently! I would recommend this place!
I will never buy from this ever again!! Came in & not one staff member moved from behind the desk nor said 2 words to me or my family & we walked around the whole store before going to the desk to ask for assistance!!! Then the lady who did help us srnt us to the back to pick up our furniture but didnt say 2 words about having to pay 25% of what we still owned (even though our recliner wasnt in, just our couch which we paid for already) so aftrr going all the way to the back we had to turn around & go back to the front!! If this is your job you should be on top of it & not leave things our!!! The workers in the Customer pick up was amazing & I could deal with them anytime, they was very polite & nice!!!
We purchased a sectional and ottom and delivery was set up for 10 days later. The guys came today to deliver and no ottoman. I called the delivery people Ashley go through and they tell me it's been back ordered. I called ashley directly to find out what was going on and they tell me two salesmen sold the last ottoman and I would have to wait another 2 weeks for them to find one. Why wouldn't they let me know 10 days ago when I purchased it and paid in Full that I wouldn't get the ottoman with the couch? Bad customer service as far as I'm concerned. They were to worried about losing the sale so they'd rather lead us on thinking everything was available.

We purchased our mattress here today and were very pleased with Joel F. He was helpful, wasn't pushy, and when my wife asked questions he didn't take offense at being interrupted and would actually listen. Overall it was an enjoyable experience - something I wasn't planning on. We haven't received our bed yet - just ordered today - but I don't anticipate any problems (or i'll come back and change my review!).
Nice store with lots of options, but staff is always on the prowl. The staff members I've interacted with wouldnt give me time to just look around. They were constantly watching us and interrupting as we looked around.
I still haven't gotten the back part of my sectional for the chaser. I've called the warehouse and still no order for it. Talked to the manager at the 45th street store and still nothing. Spending $4,000+ of items there I expected better. I should have read the reviews before purchasing here.
I would have given a better review because we like the furniture but the delivery was a complete nightmare. We ordered a bedroom set which included two nightstands, headboard and a dresser. First delivery - headboard came without the rest of the frame. No dresser or night stands. Second delivery - One nightstand and dresser. Third delivery - Bed frame with under-bed drawers which were defective and had to send back. Also, received the second night stand. Fourth delivery - scratched bed frame and drawers which they said they would replace but never heard back. This took 4 months to complete delivery with what was said to take 3 weeks. We will never buy from this store again due to lack of ownership of the complete process.
Here is my complaint! My fiance and i have been in this store twice looking for a couch, we walk in and are not only greeted, but followed like a damn puppy following it's owner, but worse. I told the lady right away we are just browsing, she said, she will check up on us soon. So we walk around looking at couches, and 2 minutes later, she is back! Is there anything in particular you had your eye on? I said no we were just looking and we will be fine, she walks away and no doubt she is back 4 minutes later! Finally I said, mam if I have a question, I will look for you! Ok? So she walks away. We left. We were just there yesterday again looking at sectionals, and a lady, not the same one, greets us, I said right away we are just looking, and if I have any questions, I will find you, she said ok. Well guess what happened after 4 minutes? She was right next to the couch we were looking at, she started talking about how good the price was, I told her mam thank you but again, if I had questions I will find you, so she walks away. We started walking to this other couch, and sat down on it to see how it felt, and again!! She is there! She says, this couch is very nice and soft, I stopped her and said rudely this time, mam! Please I told you if we needed anything i will find you, ok? She finally finally said, she won't bother us anymore! But we were disgusted and left. I won't ever ever go back there again! It isn't right to tail someone when they are shopping! They are worse then car dealerships. I like to go in a store and take my time and browse, not having someone ask me every 4 minutes if I need help. Goodbye Ashley Furniture.
