Went in to look for a couch wasn’t sure what to get at first, Nate Lindgren was nice to deal with and very helpful showing me what would work for my house since I have a small entry way I have to deal with and have trouble fitting full size one piece couches through, after a hour or so wondering around looking we ended up settling for a nice full size couch with full electric recliners If I was to purchase anymore furniture in the future I’d look forward to working with Nate again he was very helpful and patient while we were looking through all the options

I purchased my bed and adjustable base from Ashley Furniture in 2017. I purchased a 10 year warranty. This warranty would still be active, considering it's 2024/25 when my bed has now caused some challenges. When I went to file a claim, I was informed Ashley Furniture NEVER activated my warranty therefore I couldn't file my claim. I have been calling and working with them for over 4 months trying to "right THEIR wrong" to get my bed serviced and fixed. I have called, stopped in their store, and emailed their manager, and the response obtained is "someone will be calling you." I have NOT received any calls from to service, nor has anyone come to evaluate my bed. This is absurd, considering this is what I sleep on and because of its damage i have now slept poorly and woke up with pain for months.
She was very intelligent and brought us to exactly what we where looking for best experience I’ve ever had purchasing furniture thank you Katie!

I went into the GF Ashley Furniture store today looking for a couch and loveseat. Lance was very helpful and very patient as I considered all the options and then thought it through some more. I have been rushed into decisions other places and felt like I had plenty of time to make a good decision today! After purchasing, I was pleasantly surprised when Lance called me later in the afternoon to say he was able to get them delivered two weeks earlier than initially thought! Looking forward to getting our new furniture!

Huge price discrepancies between in-store offerings vs online: Emails offer awesome discounts to catfish you; once you try to order on the site the price is much higher. Found the exact same 63" Bellaby TV Console with Slumberland cheaper than Ashley's best sale price, with the option to have it delivered unassembled for free; total after tax was almost 49% less. If you see something you like, try to find it with a competitor first!

Great customer service from Lance and Dustin went out of there way to help us with a loveseat that had defective material on it. The insurance we took out wouldn't cover anything. Couldn't ask for better guys!

For some reason, furniture shopping always seems to be a very stressful experience. For once, that was NOT the case! When we entered Ashley, we were greeted by Paul, who was friendly and courteous. He asked us if he could be of assistance and answered our initial questions. From there, Paul was absolutely perfect to work with. He left us alone to look, and was immediately available for questions. He looked up various items we were interested in and offered suggestions of other items that might be very similar. At no time did we get the feeling we were being smothered. Also, the rest of the employees there respected Paul's customers and we were able to check out all the items we wanted at our leisure. In the end, we did purchase furniture and Paul was right there to help us through that with financing and delivery options, if we were interested. Thank you Paul, and thank you Ashley for a great experience. We will be back again.

Bought a couch here last year for way too much. After having a protective covering on it for a month a perfect cut in the center cushion showed up. Their full warranty/insurance company didn't want to cover it. After many calls and emails they finally offered 35% of the sofa's cost or a new sofa. Problem was, only a few months into owning it, the frame under one side had broke, springs had broke through the fabric ect. The 2 people who use this couch are 5'5" tall and both under 200lbs. I have now taken much if it apart and had to personally rebuild much of this couch just to be able to use it. Quality is trash. Prices are too high. Insurance company is a total cop-out. Go get something that will last longer than a few months somewhere else. Ashley Furniture is absolutely dead to me.

Grandforks Ashley homestore is great, I love the selections they have, they hold a wide range of furniture if it's for the living room, dining room, or bedroom they have what you need, Hannah Kirkeby is my go to person, she has great customer service skills, everything in home is from Ashley homestore, I most definitely will be back in the near future for more stuff. I love this place, you gotta get the Sealy hybrid mattress for $2600 in the king size, with the adjustable base total game changer, one down side you will not want to get out of bed when the alarm goes off trust me... I went with my sister the previous week she got a couch and our helper from the store was rude and didn't even have time to assist us , it took us 2hrs for him to finalize .They have variety of furniture , so I went in today . I got me my Headboard , foot board , rails and a new mattress .with his recommendation I got the best mattress I'm extremely happy .

Issues with clerk
Update II: After my complaint below, Ashley Furniture called me and helped me solve the problem I was having. They were very friendly and communicative. In fact, when my couch did arrive and ended up being too big for my apartment hallway, they worked with me to find a better couch and gave me a great deal on the new one which I really appreciated. And the delivery teams were so friendly and efficient. They were in and out in 10 minutes flat. It completely negated the issue I had with them earlier. My only advice is that people check the couch when it is delivered. When my couch came, there was a small tear. Luckily, I have the warranty and could get it replaced if the tear was big enough for me to bother with, but it is a reminder to double check your couch just in case. Overall, despite the bumpy start, I feel like the company did all they could to help me and were always friendly, so I would shop there again. Update: This is a classic case of don't review the store until you get the product. It turns out that the associate I was working with made the false promise of guaranteeing when I would get my couch delivered. Even though we made the delivery date set for this weekend (which is also printed on my receipt), it will now be delivered later than originally stated. I feel like I won't see my couch at all at this point. When I called the company asking about the delivery date, I felt like I was gaslighted. They kept telling me that 'no associates can't make promises of when couches will be delivered. No associates don't set dates for delivery'. As I said before, it literally has the supposed date of delivery on my receipt. I feel like my experience has been a mess of false promises and miscommunications. Old post: Jonathan was wonderful. He took my order and handled it personally, he also gave me a better deal for the mishap that took place with his other employee. The rest of my furniture is supposed to be delivered in March so if that happens Ill come back and give Ashley a better rating. Thank You Dustin. To be continued... _________________ I went to Ashley Furniture in Grand Forks, ND just before Christmas 2021. However the furniture I ordered wasn’t in stock and had to be ordered. I didn’t really mind because I needed new furniture and they have nice stuff. I went through their finance plan, fillled out all the paper work that this Jonathon had gave me and before I left the store I made sure everything was handled. I was expecting my furniture still in a couple of weeks, it is now January 27, 2022. Haven’t heard from Ashley ever since I left the store. I called today to check on the delivery date to make sure someone was home when it arrived. This Jonathon tells me that my order was cancelled because I didn’t fill out a form for a first time applicant does when buying furniture through their finance program. Jonathon says they tried to call several times. No missed calls from Jonathon, gave my email address to them when filling out the paperwork, no emails. Jonathon said the finance person Chad tried calling as well but still no missed calls or any emails from them. I am very displeased with these two employees of Ashley Furniture, if I ever do business with Ashley Furniture again, IT WILL NOT BE WITH JONATHON and if avoidable will not be with Chad!!!

I purchased a new sectional and while in route on the transport home the loveseat section caught fire on the trailer. The sofa section was received minor damage because we were able to put the fire out with snow from the ditch. Upon hearing this my sales rep Nate spoke with management and they graciously gifted me a new loveseat section and included free delivery ! I am BEYOND grateful and blessed and can't thank their crew enough! Over and above expected service. When my insurance company wouldn't assist you stepped in and turned a dreadful situation around. Buying your first furniture with your significant other can definitely more strenuous than I anticipated. Yesterday, my fiancé and I had the pleasure of working with Trey, after talking with him and telling him some of our personal habits and desires he worked with us by sharing his own personal experiences with different possibilities. After hours of sitting, looking and trying to imagine what could work for us Trey helped us narrow down and finally come to a decision we are more than satisfied. I absolutely do find us in the future going back it was a wonderful experience.

I've always had great customer service with Ashley HomeStore. I have bought multiple pieces of furniture from them over the years, and have had them go our of their way to help with any issues. Because of my past experiences there, we recently purchased a new loveseat knowing that we'd be in good hands. The salesperson, Tre, who helped us out was courteous and polite and helped us locate exactly what we were looking for and was able to answer all our questions.
Such a great experience. Normally buying furniture is stressful but Tre Morris at Ashley Furniture helped us with all our questions and was able to walk us through the whole buying experience and made it an enjoyable and successful visit.
The atmosphere in this place is amazing. Tre helped us out right away and left no questions unanswered. We were able to find everything we were looking for.

Upon reading other reviews is seems Ashley Furniture in Grand Forks seems to have a history of delivering broken on incorrect items and then offering accepting their floor model as consolation. My experience is no different. I will never shop there again! I ordered a couch in spring and it arrived broken in early July. The bracket connecting the back to the seat was rattling around inside the back. I called and was told by my associate that it would be August before they could get the replacement part. I did not want to wait but didn't have much choice as everything was on back order due to the pandemic. Sept 9th the truck showed up to replace the broken piece, but the part wasn't on the truck. I called and was assured by the manager, Dustin, that it was no longer on back order and the correct would be in the following week. The next week came and went and again Dustin said, "he is very sorry, but they ordered the wrong piece again" for sure next week it will be there. Well, next week is today, and again "they ordered the incorrect piece" and I cannot get my correct piece until January. Dustin's suggestion was to replace my brand-new broken piece with their dirty floor model. Unacceptable! I cancelled my order for recliners that haven't been delivered yet and told them to come pick up their garbage couch from my house!
We got the best furniture . They do have warranty for our new furniture . Plus you can buy protection to have them clean and fix any problems. 💯🍀

This is a nice place to look at but has horrible customer service. I purchased a couch a few years ago and they asked if I had a pet (my roommates did). I said “the sign says it doesn’t cover damage” and the associate said “the pet protection does!” So I bought it. I finally decided to use it since there were some punctures in the cushion and they said “it doesn’t cover paws, jaws, or claws.” So I’m not sure why I paid for this as it was a complete waste of money. A chair I bought after this couch also broke on the first day I bought it from a guest just sitting on it, so it doesn’t have quality furniture either. Then, a few months later the other chair broke too! In the same purchase, I also noticed that the two vanities I bought were 1/3 the price and were sold at Walmart! I paid almost 500 apiece for two vanities and I found them for 180 dollars at Walmart. I nearly cried! Don’t shop here people, it seems nice but it is a disguise.

I needed a new bed for my mother and didn’t know where to begin. Alex patiently and clearly led us through the many brands and options they offer at Ashley and answered our MANY questions. He helped us to make the perfect choice and got us the best price in town. The delivery men were careful, polite and conscientious. They did a great job on the setup of the frame, as well. Alex kept in contact the whole time. I will soon need a new bed, myself, and will definitely go to Ashley and ask for Alex again.

Look elsewhere for furniture! We purchased a couch from Ashley and within 8 months of light use (only two adults living with it) the frame had broken. It look a month of calling customer service to schedule a technician to come look at it, another month of calling and an email for them to pick it up, and then we waited another two months to get it fixed only to get it home and find out that it wasn't actually repaired. The store originally was only offering to replace it or give store credit. After enough complaining and with resistance from the manager, they did finally give us our money back. In summary, it took a total of 15 calls between customer service and the Grand Forks store (I counted) and 5 months of dealing with this issue only to end up with no couch and a terrible experience. I should also add that with each call and email to customer service I was never once called back or updated on the status of my couch. It took months of calls and complaints to get anywhere with this company. Worst customer experience I have ever had and product I have ever purchased.
Staff is very friendly and kind, but don't purchase the extended warranty. They'll claim it covers everything but when a claim is filed the guardian (the warranty company) will only cover stains.
My mom: ordered a coffee table... came just fine. Ordered a end table and they keep telling her it keeps missing the truck to be delivered to the store... which isn’t a big deal but annoying. So i purchase a table... had to wait two weeks. put the thing together and it doesn’t fit. I was told it was a “manufactured defect” and I have to bring it back and they will order me a new one. Thanksgiving is next week... real nice! I feel they should come get the table and deliver the new table and put it together! ( was never offered) First time going through them and I will never do it again. The bar “g” on the table is to short, and they can’t take anything off a display. So bull. Plus the stools that go with it won’t be in until the beginning of December.... I’m sure I will have problems with the stools as well... UPDATE. the replacement table they ordered that I had to wait 2 weeks for was defected as well. I call them again and they said they would order another one. Manager got on the phone and said I could come take pieces off the other defected table I had. We go into the back and they literally just threw the table there and it was all scuffed up and damaged. I rolled my eyes and said whatever I’m sick of waiting. Now my stools where suppose to be in on 12/4. Weren’t in I was told they would be in on 12/7. Not in. They called back a couple days ago and said they will be in after Xmas because they had a mix up at the shipping place. NEVER EVER going through them again. If I was you I would go somewhere else.
Prices and selection were awesome. In-store experience was another matter. I thought it took way too long to be helped, and I spent far more time waiting than I did looking around. Also, I thought the staff was a little bit unprepared/unprofessional when it came time to purchase my item; they were not sure of the shipping price, so it appeared as if they just guessed it! I am excited for my item to come in as I know it will be quality, but I will most likely not be shopping there again.

Bought a sectional in July and paid extra for delivery, was told my sectional would be in around end of August. Called today and they are waiting on one piece and it won't be here until mid October now. I get that things get delayed, but I am without a couch and would have went elsewhere for a sooner date. Didnt receive a call that it was going to be a month and a half later!

I have shopped at Ashley for years. Everyone is extremely knowledgeable, helpful and Friendly. The quality of the furniture is an excellent value for the price. My family room furniture has been well used over the years and still looks like the day I bought it. The staff at Ashley always will greet you with a warm hello and are happy to answer any question. I will continue buying all my furniture at Ashley!!
Granted this is during Covid-19 so I'm a little understanding that the product may be delayed but when u tell me 4-6 weeks and I'm the one having to call back after the end of each time frame that's unacceptable. We are on week 8 now and I called today to find out that it may be in soon possibly the next couple days. The worst part about this is the previous furniture for the room we bought this for has been sold and gone now for a at least 4 weeks. When I purchase this the customer service was great but since I did that the service has been awful and at this point so far they are going to eat the delivery fee for this product but to me that's not enough for this run around I have received.
Terrible return policy. Lost over $300 when I returned a mattress set when the top mattress sunk in after only two weeks. We had to settle for one that cost $300 less and they refused to give us back the difference.
My father and I bought a recliner for my mother from Ashley. The staff was very friendly and had told us that in two weeks the recliner would be delivered to my parents home. Two weeks go by and we don't hear a thing, no one called us or let us know that the order we placed hadn't even been fulfilled yet. We had to call them to find all this out. They then told us sorry and that it would be delivered in two more weeks. Second date rolls around and we hear nothing again, my father then decides to go to the store to figure out what is going on. He discovers that magically the recliner was delivered to the store that day once he confronts the sales rep about it. The sales rep then tells him that in one more week they can "try" and have it delivered. We did end up receiving the recliner a week later but I hate being given the run around. If something is delaying the product, just let us know. We are reasonable folks that will understand, just don't leave us in the dark. Each of these dates cost us a day. We had to move things around each time to make sure someone was home only for it to be a waste of time. So to close, if you buy anything from them, don't expect it to arrive any time soon. We will not be purchasing anything from them in the future.

Bought a living room set from them. A year and a half later the hinge on the couches center console broke. I called them up and they were extremely friendly, but explained to me that it only had a one year warranty and unfortunately couldn't fix it under warranty. Two days later I recieved new hinges for my couch from them. What a surprise!! I realize that they didn't have to do that, but talk about taking care of their customers!! I will definitely be going there for all my future needs.
We bought furniture for our new house on Black Friday. We have had nothing but problems ever since. We have had our furniture for only 4 months and it’s falling apart. Everytime I contact the manager they transfer me to a third party to whom I guess we purchased our couches from, and have yet received a call back. We purchased them in the store and picked up ourselves. I will NEVER be purchasing from this place ever again! WORST experience ever!

Cindy is a true professional out there. I showed her what I was originally looking for, and she said she didn’t have exactly that, but she showed me several options and found something way better for $3 more. She listened to understand what I was trying to accomplish, and offered solutions that I didn’t even know existed while saving me so much time and money. I was super impressed with how well she knew what product was in the store, and exactly where to find it. I would have been wandering for hours to find what she led me to in minutes. My wife and I went into Ashley Home Store a couple of times looking for living room furniture. In talking to the sales person we were very straight up forward in what we were looking for. We want something that will fit us, last a long time and with me big enough so I can rock our two (2) grand babies. On 11/12/19 we made our purchase of 2 recliner rockers and a recliner couch. We received these items on 12/17/19. Ten (10) days later I was back in the store talking to our "sales" person about a reclining rocker that was just for me. Yes it broke - bottom fell out of it. So this is what I got out of this sales person "Yes we'll replace it but you'll have to wait 3 to 5 weeks" Let me tell yeah something they were so excited in telling me about my wait that I was waiting for the ticker tape parade to start - however said I wasn't amused at all. But that's not all ... It wasn't a week or so later when I returned talked to yet another sales person informing them that this "chair" wasn't going to make it till the "replacement" comes .. . this time the lower back support let go and now this "brand new" chair is starting to look like my old one that was 15 yrs old ... is there anything we can do. Brought in pictures and everything to show. Answer: "I'll take your information and let the manager know" Well it's been well over a week and no follow up. Since then the foot rest support frame has bent on the right side. So when you bring it up, your left leg is higher than your right. Today this said chair made yet another death move - now when you lean back to rock it makes a popping sound and it falls all the way back like you are in the reclining position (but not) and you have to really lean forward for the "chair" to come forward just so you can get out. But wait there's more - you can feel it shift to one side as it comes up. Over all this $800.00 dollar chair is a piece of garbage, no customer service even though I purchased the "platinum" protection plan, no follow up, no "Can I send our repair technician out to see what he can do to help you out until your replacement comes" no nothing. Let's just say I'm ready to call them and have them come and get it. It'll be sitting outside my home in the snow bank. UPDATE (01/17/2020): Tuesday 01/14/2020 I received a call from the store manager. In short he didn't realize the amount of trouble I been having with this recliner. After a brief phone conversation I returned to the store that afternoon and visited with him and the sales rep who sold me the furniture. I was given a couple of different options (1) wait out the time for the new chair to come in (2) Pick out another chair. In calling my wife to talk over the options we offered to go for the replacement of what we bought since there was a couch purchased to match, since all of the mechanical device are the same for every chair. Furthermore this store offered me up the floor model to use until my replacement chair comes. Due to their delivery schedule I had to wait till Friday to get it. Well here it is Friday and wouldn't you know it we are in a blizzard warning. We are expecting (got) rain, high winds (40 - 50 mph) and somewhere between 4 - 6 inches of new snow. Since this was the case and in truth I figure I would have to wait - however my wife called the store to confirm if we were going to see a delivery today. She was told that the chair was coming between 4 and 6 PM as promised and wouldn't you know it, the driver called a half hour ahead of time and the chair is now in my living room. The weather didn't hold them back and the delivery guys were great. Thank you Ashley for stepping up, my granddaughter already had her nap with me in the chair. More update to come.

Great experience! Chris met and greeted us at the door and explained where item locations are for what we wanted. Best thing is after the meet and greet, Chris left us alone to explore, try furniture out, and discuss our furniture needs. Chris did check on us approximately 15 minutes later with a few purchase suggestion. Would definitely buy again from Ashley and Chris. Lastly, the delivery was smooth...our three pieces made it to the house in 4 days.
Tre is a great salesman. He is personable and pays attention to the needs of the customers as opposed to other places that look at the customer as a commission.
Very, very bad customer service! They told us a delivery date, didn’t deliver it, said it was on back order. Now it’s pushed back even more. Our new bed is being exchanged and now have to wait two weeks for that. Lousy customer service and if you want anything have to wait 2-4 weeks for it to be delivered. Spent enough time and money and would not refer them to anyone! They haven’t even really apologized or tried to make it better or right. Seriously terrible experience!
We have bought furniture 3 different times in the last few months from Ashley Furniture, and always from Hannah! She is amazing! She provided excellent customer service, extremely helpful, very knowledgeable when answering our questions, and made sure we received the best price, matching the online price, which was substantially lower. When I walked into the 32nd street Ashley Furniture store and started browsing within just a few short minutes a very pleasant and courteous Lance Haugen, a sales representative asked if I needed any assistance. And I did. Our conversation started with me asking for the least costly selections for couches. I told him I was looking to temporarily furnish a home I've rented in North Dakota so I didn't need anything dynamic or expensive as I'll just have to re-sell it after my year long job commitment has expired. I'm not sure if their sales consultants work on a commission base or not (most do) but his attentions did not falter regardless that I was looking for "the bargain" section of the store. He was committed to helping me find exactly what I needed and in giving me the best pricing that he was able to give. I needed a couch and box springs. He showed me all the couches they had within the perimeter of my budget and ordered a cost effective box spring from the on line store. In addition to that I wanted to see end tables, entertainment centers, every desk and book shelf they had in the place though sadly I did not end up buying any of them. However, his expertise of the merchandise layout saved me at least an hour of how long it would have taken me to locate those items without his help. Lance was professional, patient, humorous, knowledgeable of the showroom stock, service oriented, and gave me his full attention from the start of my shopping experience to my final check out. I highly recommend him if you're looking for top notch customer service. And, trust me, I've shopped at every store in Grand Forks that sells furniture, Ashley Furniture has the largest selections, a huge inventory, lots of diversity, a rainbow palette of color selection and the ability to order from their on line catalog / warehouse to offer more selections beyond what they have in store. I came into the store yesterday to pick out a new mattress, and I had a list of furniture I had found online that I had chosen. All of which was picked with desperation. Katie Vigness not only helped me find a beyond perfect mattress, she spent HOURS with me picking out a whole living room concept. She made absolute sure that I didn't rush through any decision, and she knew what I wanted and how I wanted it, before I did. She truly listened to every word I said. I kept apologizing for taking so long, which she replied, every time, "it's my day job.' 14/10 would promote her to Life Coach.

6 weeks it took to get my furniture and they got my order wrong wow! I called here and the salesman tried to pass the buck to another. I know what I ordered and the salesman didn't listen and ordered it wrong and now I have to wait another 3-6 weeks for them to get it right? I depended on this set for the company Im getting in 2 weeks not 3 -6 weeks. I am now going to cry! (10 days after the incident)...Now after calming down some, I will add the fact that a short time later they called and apologized and although it did not changed the mistake they made the sales person did try and make it " right" I will have to give them a small thumbs up for contacting me after the fact. The salesperson said they were going to send me a gift card but it has been 10 days and I haven't received it yet.
Great furniture store that's made by its people. Solid selection at reasonable prices. Cindy was great, knew where she was going and what to look at. She greeted me at the door, let me take my time and figure out what would work best for me, and did great at showing me solid selections for matresses at the prices I needed. After I recievedy matress, I got a really nice postcard that sealed it all up. Overall great experience with no hassle, despite me being an entirely naive college student on his own for the first time. I will likely return when I need to find more furniture. Great work!
Since I try to focus on the positive aspects of businesses and I don't like to completely fault a store on an error, I usually never give bad reviews. I don't really want to unravel my whole experience with them because it was so disheartening, but Ashley Furniture did seem to do everything they could to make my move in to my first apartment a struggle. My boyfriend and I have vowed to never purchase from this company again. We will happily find other options.

I walked into the store and everyone was so very helpful!! I ended up working with Cindy and she was amazing!!!! I needed everything from a new kitchen table, sofa, beds and more!! She helped me out with everything according to my budget and also checked online for me for the best deals she could give me and honored those!!! My experience at Ashley furniture was absolutely wonderful. I met a little girl and she met the 1.5 year old that I was watching run around the store. I tried hard not let the little one fingerprint all the furniture. It was really neat to see these children interact. My niece purchased a nice bed. Love the lamps and coffee tables.

I ordered a sectional back in November for my sister. The first time they delivered it, it was ripped in multiple areas. They had her keep it until they could deliver a new one. The have attempted to deliver this couch going on 4 times and every time it has been ruined. I asked to be compensated for having to wait 3 months so far for undamaged furniture and they agreed to adjust off the $50 delivery fee. I don't think this is a fair compensation for all this trouble considering she still doesn't have her undamaged furniture! I will never buy furniture from this location again and i will be passing my experience along to family and friends.
Very cheaply-made products! On our second table top now, the first one was chipping the second day we had it and hadn’t even aten a meal on it! Just now when inspecting new table top I noticed signs of the same chipping in a small area and I haven’t even touched it! Also, purchased a huge sectional with reclining ends but one of the ends was back ordered and just received that today also and it won’t even open to recline, something is stuck! I’m pretty sure something brand new shouldn’t be this way. I don’t know what to do at this point. If I could rate them lower then a 1, I would! We paid good money for these products and was expecting quality goods! Will never shop here again!
Katie was such an amazing help at the Grand Forks store! We went in to look for a bed the same day we bought a house. She explained different beds, the difference in what their made of and most importantly price. She had all of her facts straight and help us find the right fit for us. We were in and out in an hour! Katie takes her job seriously, she knows what she's talking about, and she always has a smile on her face!

Bought furniture and was given a delivery date and didn't happen or did not even receive a call about it. Got another delivery date and got the call the day before and waited 3 hours and called store and was told on wrong truck. This store needs to get its act together!

Extremely dissatisfied with the service at this Ashley Furniture. We have bought several things from other Ashley Furniture stores and have had pleasant experiences. At this store we purchased a couch and paid the $250 for delivery because it was a remote city delivery. Only one delivery person showed up to deliver a large couch while my wife was at home with the baby alone. The deliver man made my wife help move the couch and even refused to deliver it to the basement which was where we needed it. Because he was alone the couch ended up being damaged in the process. I called and spoke to a manager at the store who apologized and said a new couch would be delivered. Now two weeks after it should have been delivered we have had no followup and no couch. I called this morning and spoke to the manager and got nothing from him to fix the issue. We will not be returning to Ashley Furniture in the future.

I went to all the furniture stores in Grand Forks and even a couple in Fargo in search for a recliner. Most of the stores I shopped at, had bad customer service. 5 Stars!! We had a wonderful experience working with our salesperson, Tamara Tanke and the delivery drivers, Tim and Tom on August 12, 2017! Several months ago, we purchased a queen-sized box spring to be delivered this weekend. When it became clear it wasn't going to fit down a flight of stairs and into my son's room at his rental house, they were quick to offer a solution and went out of their way to ensure we were taken care of that same day - and in fact, within 30 minutes! They returned the box spring we purchased and swapped it out for a pair that fit together to make a queen - it was perfect! And, they did it with a smile and a "no problem, we can do that right away?" THEY are the reason we continue to shop with Ashley! Their customer service and care from their drivers is exceptional! Cynthia made sure that we received store credit immediately after she became aware of the situation and kept me apprised of what was going on. Hannah Schoenborn has always been very helpful in finding what I'm looking for. Always friendly but not pushy. Doesn't try to force a sale. Genuinely cares that you get what you want and enjoy it. For the store: big variety for selection, wide price range and one of the most pleasent sales people I've dealt with for purchasing anything not just furniture. Will be going back for future purchases!

If I could rate it 0 I would. Do not buy anything from this company. We bought a sectional we were told would be there after a week. Not all the pieces we there. Then the manager and the salesman (Alex) tried to tell me what I was told. Salesman said they will be there not could be there. Picked up what we could that was there and turned out another piece was missing even though it said it was there. Waited another week and pieces finally showed up. However they were delivered for free because of the mix up. Whow cares they saved me fifty bucks to deliver something that should have been there two weeks ago. They finally delivered the last two pieces without even calling us. Luckily someone was home. The manager here does not care about your problems and will do nothing but tell you it happens. Worst customer service I've ever had. I contacted corporate and was told they only dealt with delivery and warranty issues nothing else. The store deals with all problems. Obviously nothing will be done from a manager in grand forks that doesn't care about his customers.
Expensive and not much variety
This is Bryan and Jacey Brenden, not our son, Liam. Just could not figure out to to post under my name. Initially, our experience was terrible. Very poor customer service, misrepresentation of product, un-returned phone calls, ridiculous delivery issues and the furniture we chose was supposed to be solid wood, but was not. However, the store manager, Dustin, went above and beyond to make it right! He made up for all the mistakes. We are very happy with our new purchase and very happy that the store manager cared about our experience and fixed it! Thank you Dustin!

Past experience has always been wonderful - we had purchased a dining set, bed, couches... but this time was a disaster! While the people in the store, and the manager, were all very nice, we had to wait four hours for delivery of the new couches... only to have one ripped on the truck in transit and the other ripped coming through the door. We had to reschedule yet another full Saturday afternoon for ANOTHER delivery... and shortly after set up (and they had left) the welding fell apart under the love seat! Now, this would have been more than enough frustration, but one of the delivery guys (present both times) had also been smoking. Being highly allergic to cigarette smoke, I mentioned this the first time. And the second time. I don't even allow family in the house if they've been smoking! So we now have a third delivery date, middle of the week, and it will be at the end of the day when they are coming from out of town. They arrived on time (woohoo!), but that same guy was along and smelled so badly of smoke that I couldn't even breathe from across the room. By the time they left, I was in full allergic reaction mode, swelling up, red, airways constricted... He had to have been smoking in the truck for it to be this bad. I'm not sure we want to ever use their delivery service in the future.
This is my second time dealing with Hannah. She makes everything so easy and enjoyable. I love working with her. Great store and great people.

Unfortunately we had a mediocre experience with this store. The staff was helpful when we purchased our couch, but they severely misrepresented the extended warranty that we bought. At the time of purchase we were told the warranty covers "everything", to include accidental damage. Sadly this is untrue. We have had our couch for about 16 months and the cushions have broken down significantly. I called the store today and they said "wear and tear" is not covered by the warranty. Needless to say we are now stuck with a poor quality piece of furniture and no way of getting it fixed unless we want to pay out of pocket for new cushions. Beware if you buy here. The furniture looks good, and is priced competitively, but you definitely get what you pay for!

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience working with our salesman, Brent Rensink, and the Ashley Furniture Store out of Grand Forks. My husband and I got married just over a year ago and the first furniture we received was our bedroom set. This year we finally moved into our own house and bought our couch and love seat through them as well. Brent was great about sticking to our budget and didn't push anything on us that we weren't crazy about or weren't interested in. He allowed us time to look around, ask questions, and when we decided to purchase he was great about keeping in contact with us to make sure we got exactly what we wanted!
Hannah was an oustanding sales person! She knew about all the products on hand and listened to details about what i was looming for. I would highly reccommend Ashley furniture and specifically Hannah to my friends and family!

Not a great mattress selection
We bought an electric reclining couch that is amazingly soft and comfortable. Our sales rep was Cynthia and she was amazing too!! Not pushy like some at other stores. She gave us our space to look around-didn't hover, helpful and very polite. We will definitly go back!!
Great customer service and good deals if you go during sales. I like the fact that they will deliver furniture to a warehouse near you and hold it until you can pick it up for no charge.
Do not buy Ashley furniture! Worst experience of my life. The couches are HORRIBLE quality. My husband was lying on the couch and his foot hit the leather and the leather peeled off. We have not had our couches that long and they are falling apart!
The WORST experience of my life. We ordered a couch on 8/21 and have yet to receive it and it's October 5th!! We were told it would take 3-6 weeks since it was a special order (sofa bed). I've called several times and they said "any day now" every time. No one wanted to find out what was going on. I finally called again at 5 weeks and they said it still wasn't in but let's schedule you for delivery that was a week and a half out, mind you! I called the day before the date to get a specific time. The couch was still not in and they did NOT have is scheduled! I called 2 days later and the couch was magically in and the soonest they could deliver was 2 weeks out! Not one person from the store called to tell me it was in AND that they had scheduled us for delivery. How did they know that date would even work for me? I will never order another piece of furniture from Ashley Furniture. The service sucks and is so disappointing and unprofessional.
I have had nothing but excellent experiences with the products that I have purchased at Ashley Furniture. Delivery has been awesome, they set my bed up for me perfectly and would have hauled the old one away, if it were not in use. I've purchased furniture from the Grand Forks store numerous times and my experience has always been excellent. Brett in the warehouse has been most helpful!!
WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. After purchasing a $2,000+ sectional you would think that you would get some amazing customer experience, right?! Wrong. It was one of the worst experiences ever. We first purchased the 3 piece sectional and they told us it was about a 2 week delivery period; however, they soon realized the corner section was on back order for 4-6 weeks. We asked them if there was any way we could get the two main sections before the corner section. They said yes BUT we would be charged 2 delivery fees of $60 each! So, we decided against it. 4 weeks goes by, 5 weeks and then 6 weeks. I used to work customer service... from my experience, good customer service is at least calling on the customer one time, maybe twice in that time frame that they are waiting for something to be delivered.... NOPE. We didn't receive one phone call. After 6 weeks had passed, WE had to call them to find out what the hell was going on. My husband was scheduled to deploy the following week, leaving me at home with my infant son. They informed us that the corner piece was still NOT in. At this point, we basically told them to deliver the couches that had been sitting there for 4 weeks. We couldn't wait any longer because with my husband leaving I had no way of moving our old couches out of our house. They said they wouldn't charge us a second delivery fee and the corner part would be delivered the following Friday. Friday came and, guess what? NO CORNER PIECE. They called us that day to let us know. The guy who sold us the couch told my husband that he would personally call my phone the following week monday to let us be delivered (since my husband had to deploy). We were looking at waiting ANOTHER 2 WEEKS for the corner piece. Monday came and went... I waited a few more days, nothing. So I called. The employee I spoke with said that a machine would call me by the end of the following week letting me know what hours and day the delivery would be scheduled (well, this isn't what the person told my husband when he spoke with him). They called... I got the date, which is today between 1-3. So here I am... home with an infant, waiting for my couch to be delivered and it is 10 minutes past the delivery frame. Am I mad??? You bet! My living room has been rearranged since 1PM so they can it the corner piece in. I am about to call and see what is going on. My Advice to you? Save yourself the headache and high blood pressure. Take your business elsewhere.
Ashley furniture has easily been the worst buying experience that I have had in my life. We spent thousands of dollars for terrible customer service and poor quality products. Our bed room sets finish scratches pretty much if you breath on it. Our couch looks like it is 10 years old already because it sags and the cushions do not stay on. We also order a table which was damaged 2x before we finally told them to forget about it and got our money back. The are completely unwilling to help you once you return period is gone and they have your money. We also paid a few extra hundred dollars for a guardian plan that has been useless for us. If you ever call the store you are told that they have to talk to a manager first and they will call you back. If you ever need something replaced or repaired expect to wait months for anything to happen. I will never buy a single thing from the company ever again and I recommend you steer clear of them. They have a bad business practice and really do not care about their customers. All I wanted was to walk into the store ready to buy quality furniture, and they (a furniture retailer) could not complete that task. I hope this review saves you time of evening walking into ashley furnature.
