Ashley Store Chillicothe, OH

I have bought Ashley furniture for a few years. We went into the Chillicothe store Thursday and received a warm welcome from Zach Daniels one of the associates. He was kind enough to let us browse but yet was there if we had questions. He helped us out so much and we ended up buying a sectional with 2 other pieces. It's nice to walk in a store where you feel welcomed. Zach was so helpful to my son and I and answered every question we had. He also gave us helpful ideas. We appreciate all he did for us. That's why I like buying from Ashley's. The people are so nice

Michelle Klinebriel was our salesperson. She was very friendly and personable. I appreciated the fact that she was not pushing more expensive furniture but rather what we wanted. Even though it turned out to be expensive that’s not her fault. There were options that we needed having a small dog and she made sure to be upfront and honest about what would be our best options, but ultimately left it up to us and gave us privacy to discuss it. She was GREAT and we will be using her again when we go back for new dining room furniture.

I went to the store a week or so ago and it was very nice. I looked at several other stores for some of the furniture I've been needing, but no luck. From the time I walked in the door don the salesman greeted me right away we picked the chair I needed In no time then checkout flawless everything was great don said 2 to 2 and a half weeks for delivery if any longer they would contact me I’ve never heard from anyone so last week on October the fifth it was a month I called the store and that’s where it all started they kept telling me it can tske up to six weeks so why not tell me that before the sale and I just want to cancel my order because I think five weeks is way to long to wait but the manager tells me I need to call delivery and set it up I said I bought the furniture from you not you from me so do your job and thays where it’s at but I called West Virginia and got no where with them either so I will never buy another piece of furniture from Ashley but that’s just me so there you have it

We were shocked to walk in and find several living room sets we liked. Then we saw the one we both loved and bought it. All in less than an hour. Michelle was so kind and let us power- shop but was right there when we made our choice. The prices were very reasonable. This was our first time at Ashley Home store but we will be back. Our salesman, Juyan, was extremely helpful with our Nectar mattress purchase. Highly recommend that you try the mattress firmness machine test for your best match and body needs. Juyan talked us through all the mattress options/features, and made us feel at ease on what we would like for our personal preferences. Financial options were discussed and he helped make sure that we stayed in our targeted price range. Great communication by all employees during the shipping and in home set-up process. This is by far the best purchase we have made in a long time!

I went to Ashleys to look for a queen bed frame with storage. With the amazing help from Juyan, I found the perfect frame! He helped explain everything to me about the financing, the warranty, and anything else I had question with! When we got everything set up, and he said delivery would be anywhere from 2-4 weeks. I recieved it after a week! :) Im extremly happy with how everything went :)

The moment we walked into the store, we were greeted by Don Fairchild. He was so sweet and he took great care of us! He helped us pick out the perfect recliners within our budget. Lynnzee was also a gem when checking us out. Highly recommend! Thank you!!

Very slimy and sleazy people there. I went in just to look at mattresses, as I have had the same one now for 11 years. I’ll admit, Juyan is very slick with his words. I should have walked away from buying when he told me a few times that the price that were quoted was for the wrong size or wrong base. And I’ll also admit, was an impulse decision to buy. Didn’t do any shopping around. Then my parents go in and try out mattresses. They were given a whole run around with various prices and “misquotes” of prices. Juyan flat out lied to us when he said he was a manager at Mattress Firm in Chillicothe for 3 years before moving to Ashley. As we found out when we went to Mattress Firm, it was a much different story. Bought the same mattress with an upgraded base than what Juyan sold me, for $1100 less at Mattress Firm. When we went in today to cancel my order, Juyan started to get confrontational with us, but the district manager was there and we were talking to the DM from the moment we walked in. Juyan when confronted with his own lies said he didn’t want his name and reputation to be tarnished, which he didn’t need any help from us for that. He was trying to defend his words and when we refuted them with facts, that’s when he started to get heated and confrontational. He then walked away. Oh, and don’t ever expect a quote from Ashley Furniture, because apparently that’s a “fireable offense” if they give that. The DM said that per policy they don’t give printed quotes, it’s all hand written. How pathetic? And when we finally were able to cancel the order, he just took copies of the sales receipt and was trying to shoo us away saying it would be taken care of. Of course, we didn’t trust that, and asked for a printed confirmation that it was cancelled. He told us “well, there is no way for us to give a printed confirmation of that, but I’ll write it on the sales receipt and sign it myself.” It was laughable, but we have it in writing that it will be cancelled. I’ll be checking my credit card account like a hawk to ensure that the refund actually goes through. If by next Friday it’s not, they will not like what I’m going to do to ensure it gets completed THAT DAY! 0/10 would never recommend this place.

We purchased 2 beds at Ashley in Chillicothe Ohio. Juyan Allen was very helpful in helping me with choosing a bed. He was very informed on the mattresses, courteous and patient with me. Unfortunately he wasn't there when we decided to complete the purchase but Dallas Stewart took care of us. He answered the rest of our questions, helped us to make sure we were purchasing the best mattresses for us by putting us on their test bed. We were 100% satisfied with both gentlemen. Thank you.

Scummy business from managers and floor sales people. Ordered and down payed for a mattress and protector. promised to be in the warehouse and arrive by Thursday yet went to pick it up and they never put it thru for my mattress to be brought to the store for pickup. Not to mention trying to upsell me when I came in asking about two specific mattresses on their site. Can’t even return the protector bc of their policy. So they got me for$100 on the protector and $65 for down and didn’t even receive the product I went for on the day it was promised. Couldn’t even tell me when or if they could get my mattress to the store. Told me to call Friday morning. Will update in the morning.

Awful place they lied about my delivery date and paid for my furniture to be built and they just dropped it off in boxes avoid this place.

My husband and I visited Ashley Furniture in Chillicothe just to get some ideas for our family room furniture. Once inside the store We met with Michelle Klinebriel and regional manager Tim. Both had so much knowledge about the furniture and answered all our questions that we ended up purchasing that very same day. We will definitely be back. Hopefully we will get to work with Michelle and her boss , Tim again.

Today we stopped in at our local Ashley Furniture to look at a coffee table and side tables. We have always purchased our furniture and mattresses at Ashley but never at this location. We will never be back either. The salesman was really nice and we asked him if we could get the tables for a certain price. He was unable to answer that so he went to check with the manager. The manager came back with a higher price than we offered so we said thank you but we are set on the price. The manager proceeded to say in a sarcastic tone “you really didn’t plan on buying it then did you”. We were shocked and really offended. Little did he know that this is the amount we had saved in cash and didn’t want to go over. We will never shop there again nor will we refer people. We went across the street and bought a nicer set, for less money and free delivery. Their sales staff was all very nice and accommodating. We were in and out in 30 mins.

If I could give zero stars I would! We went into the Chillicothe store on January 4, 2025, ordered our nursery chair and paid in full, worked with Michelle. We were told to expect our delivery within 1-2 weeks. After 2 weeks with no communication, we called the store. A representative told us the item was not in stock at the assigned warehouse and that it was coming from another out of state location. A salesman assured us it would just be another few days. Another week goes by, no communication from Ashley or our saleswoman. We called again, more runaround with new dates. I had to request the chair be delivered to the home for the inconvenience. Spoke with manager Aaron, he was of little help and acknowledged our sales representative did not do her due diligence in communicating with us or the warehouse. I finally called the out of state warehouse myself, who reported they actually had our chair and was waiting for our sales representative to coordinate the delivery! At this point, I should have earned the commission on my sale since I did all the work. It took 6 weeks, multiple phone calls, and a store visit to finally get our chair. Do not shop Ashley Furniture Chillicothe or be prepared to be your own salesperson/customer service rep!

Dallas was very good to us. I kept changing my mind on thing and he was very patient with me.

I would like to take this time to say how much myself and my mom really appreciated Dallas at the Chillicothe Location. He was professional, very helpful at answering my questions since it was first time shopping for a new couch and chair. Dallas was polite, curtious and not pushy. Anyone wants a place to go should go to Ashley and ask for Dallas!!!

I came in to look at sofas and ended by buying a sofa, a dining table and chairs, and the nicest recliner. Mikalyn was pleasant but not pushy and was able to answer my questions. In fact, everyone there was professional, kind, and helpful. I can’t say enough good things. Ashley Furniture is my go to place from now on. It’s a real furniture store. The prices are reasonable and the furniture is good quality. There aren’t many places you can go anymore with such wonderful service and products. Nice store beautiful furniture, but nothing I could go home with that day. They told me to order online. I had cash in hand they rather send me to the website. In fact they didn't even bother to help me in store to order they just said order online because this was a showroom only. So I went to globe furniture bought my dresser went home with it in the same day.

What a great shopping experience I had with the purchase of my new furniture. I came into the Chillicothe store and met Michelle Klinebriel, she was so very helpful, I didn’t purchase on my first visit to the store and she wasn’t pushy at all to get the sale, I brought my spouse back a few days later to look at the furniture and meet Michelle, once again we didn’t purchase that day and she was patient with us as we were undecided. I did go back the next week to make the purchase, Michelle was out that day so Keenan helped me he was easy to work with as well. Hopefully my delivery experience will be as pleasant as the purchase experience was. Michelle assured me she’d continue to keep me updated.

Very disappointed with our Ashley furniture and delivery. We ordered a sofa/couch and dining room table bench.and was told it would definitely be delivered the weekend of May 17th so we would have it for out of town guest for our daughters graduation. When I called to double check, they said the best the could do was the weekend of June 1st. That was too late but we decided to take it anyway as it would be used in the future. Called to confirm and was told it would now be the week of June 6th and would have to be a Monday or friday( those are the only days they deliver to Chillicothe). So we had to buy air mattresses so they had a place to sleep. So we agree to Friday, they show up and deliver but notice the leg on the bench was broke. They said they could send a replacement leg and we could fix ourselves or they can order another. Order another one- why would I want to fix something that was paid for to be delivered in great condition. And now they are delivering it to the store so I have to go and pick it up. Why? I paid a delivery fee. Will not use them again.

Folks, I wanted to write this review to let you know this is the best furniture buying experience I've ever had. I called and talked to Keenan Haywood on the phone. I was looking for a specific kind of sofa recliner. He knew exactly what I was talking about, knew how many styles they had, and the colors. I went there to see him and he was so knowledgeable about the product and explained things I didn't even know were important. He was patient, let me look around, answered questions, and I realized as we interacted, he truly cares about helping you get what you can afford and meshing what you need with what you want. That's rare today, but Keenan is a rare and special person. In fact, everyone there was so pleasant. I called the scheduler while i was there and it was totally simple and easy to arrange a quick delivery talking with a sweet young lady named Darcy on the phone. Keenan was excellent and patient with me. I was very pleased with his service for my new sofa and love seat. -8/20/24 update structurally there is an issue with my couch. One of the in pieces sits higher. A service tech came out and could not correct it. He said the couch needed to be replaced. I’ve reached out to the warehouse multiple times and they said well they’re likely to replace it.I have heard nothing else. I love this couch. It is a comfortable couch. I would like for it to all look nice.

Purchased a "purple" mattress a few months ago and purchased the 6 month worry free garuantee, after a month and a half....we hated it. Went back to Ashley. Asked Keenan what do we do? Wish we had him the first time around and we probably would not have had a return because I think he would've made sure we picked correctly (although in defense of the first salesperson, they had just recently opened and didnt have the sleep analysis machine). We had several options. He was able to give us discounted prices on whatever option we chose. We ended up upgrading to a better mattress with absolutely no extra cost. We gained more info before we made the decision and he wanted us to be sure of our pick....no pressure. A district manager person was there and made sure we were happy and was training Keenan. We will definitely be going back. They have too many things we want, lol.

I hated to write this, but after waiting for months for my items and receiving terrible service from the store, I feel it is my duty to save others from a similar experience. I spent over $3,000 in November 2023 on a sectional and ottoman. We were moving into a new home in December that had both a sitting room and a living room, so we needed more furniture than I currently had. The salesman was great and assured us our sectional would be a 4-6 week wait. This aligned perfectly with when we would be in our new house, so I was fine with the timeframe. Unfortunately, he called two days later to inform me that the date was being pushed to the first week of February, Although not ideal, I was ok with it and we "temporarily" put a small love seat in the room meant for the sectional. The sales associate also called in mid January to follow up and let us know that the sectional may even show up by the end of January. That's when everything went South. As the February date drew near, nobody called to schedule our delivery, so I called the store. I was told that our salesperson had left the company and that the Store Manager (Dan) would call me back that evening. He did not. So, I called back the next day only to be told that Dan was in an interview and he would call me back later. He did call me and gave me a new arrival date of "mid" February. He also provided his cell phone number so I could get in touch with him. Again, that date came and went without our sectional, and nobody bothered to call with an update. So, I reached out to Dan who texted me back two days later. He said that the new arrival was now 3/8. He also said that he would understand if I wanted a refund and offered me a $500 in store credit. Meanwhile, I haven't even invited my family to my new house because I'm embarrassed by the teeny tiny love seat sitting in my large living room. I told Dan I would once again wait for my furniture. Yesterday (since I have not received an update), I texted Dan asking for one. He texted me that he was off work and that he would look into it the next day (today) and get back with me. Well, you guessed it, Dan did not get back with me today. So, I called Customer Service, and a very nice lady told me that the NEW arrival date is March 15th. Other than this, she had no information about what the problem is or how many people may be in front of me to get one of these Holy Grail sectionals. After waiting for over 3 months, I really don't want to start over looking for another couch somewhere that will probably take another three months to arrive, but would like my couch! I feel that Ashley furniture took my $3,000, purposely gave me a bogus arrival date, and continues to do so. I totally understand that there are issues with supply and demand, it's the lack of communication and having any type of solution that really bothers me. When I bought a couch and loveseat from Big Sandy in 2020, they at least told me it was going to be 4 months (but actually delivered it in two). I guess I should have bought a sectional from them. I would just appreciate some honesty and service from a company when I hand over $3,000. After looking at a couple of other bad reviews on here, I hope this Magical Tim guy can help me out. I also have to wonder how Store Manager Dan who does not keep his word, or follow up with customers--but does hang up on people (as a different reviewer stated), still has a job. That blows my mind. Anyway, I plan to start looking for another sectional and if I can find one that won't take a decade to arrive, I will be canceling my order (and I'm not paying a 25% restocking fee for something that is not in stock), and the chances that I will ever hand cash over to Ashley furniture is less than 0%. I don't even care about the $500 in-store credit. I just want my sectional. UPDATE 3/15 Today was our "new" arrival date and nobody from the store or delivery has called to schedule a delivery or update me on the status. I called Customer Service and was told the arrival date has been pushed out to 3/18.

So far not really a great experience. Bought 2 couches back on February 6th told we should have them the first week of march initially, told it would be like a 3 to 4 week wait on delivery. We also received a text 2 weeks prior to the original delivery date reiterating the early march delivery. So we just got rid of our old couch at the begining of the week. When we received no further communication we reached out again. Now we are being told it's not going to be until May. They only deliver to our area one day out of the month which is the 29th. So all we have at the moment is camp chairs and folding metal chairs until we get this delivered. Communication has been quite poor from them. Was honestly excited to have a quality brand around our area but I'm not so sure we would have been better off going to big sandy or something like that and settling.

If you want great furniture! With amazing people to help you get what you’re looking for this is definitely your store!! Joel was amazing helping me get into the living room set I’ve been looking everywhere for! He even stayed late to work with our work schedule. Such a fun group of people!

Awesome furniture, but the worst experience I have had with management in a very long time. Will never return, due to their sad excuse of a manager Dan. I bet you give him enough time and he will run this place straight into the ground.. Update 4/22 Saw they were hiring a new sales manager, smart move. Feel for the employees and customers who had to put up with him for so long, still won't return. Update 4/28 Then that should speak volumes about his leadership, and sadly those above him for allowing it to persist, to such a degree, that " THEY ALL QUIT". You probably had some really good employees who left, solely due to him. If you need help, maybe start with those who quit, might give you, the owner, a sense of penance for such lack of accountability and leadership for the people who's lives, that rest on YOUR shoulders. At least the other response was honest, instead of the fake niceties.

Horrible experience in this Chillicothe store. Bought living room furniture back in November. I haven’t bought new furniture in 40 yrs. They made this horrible for me. Waited forever then delivered the wrong tables. The sales person didn’t order my coffee table I picked out. Here it is February 6 still waiting for them to pick up these tables. I bought new tables elsewhere. I will never buy from them again. I was gonna buy more furniture I need but it won’t be there.

We ordered a full bedroom suit, ordered product on 11/28/23 and delivery date was changed 3 times with no communication from Ashley Chillicothe unless we called and got updates, we made it very clear we need a times notice in order to take off work. We got a call on Friday that the order would be here on a Tuesday. - today 1/30 delivery was scheduled, the truck drivers arrived and all product was busted, scratched, broken. They said that Chillicothe Homestore was aware and spoke with us and that we were fine with the broken product. We refused to accept the product and requested a full refund, to go purchase somewhere else. This has been a tragic experience (given us calling regarding our concerns last week and Store Manager Don Pennington saying “Whatever” and hanging up when we were addressing our concerns on the changed delivery dates multiple times.) We are pending a full refund with plans to go somewhere else to purchase bedroom furniture. Meanwhile, with an empty bedroom due to Ashley Furniture. You would think a new store in town would provide you with A+ service, right???? To end it with, I was ecstatic there was an Ashley Furniture local - NEVER again. Update: Tim (District Manager) helped resolve this issue and successfully got us our furniture!

I don't normally leave bad reviews, but this negative review is more that warranted. We ordered furniture on Nov 24, 2023. At the close of that transaction, we were told the furniture would be in the local warehouse by Dec. 13, 2023 & to expect delivery within 1-3 days of this date. We never received any updates, calls, or text from our sales rep, Kristy or any member of the Ashley team. On Dec 15, 2023 we contacted the local store who advised us to reach out to our sales rep. Kristy said the delivery date was 'changed by Ashley' to Dec 18, 2023. Dec 19th, we contacted Kristy again for an update. She tells us Ashley again changed our delivery date to Dec 20th & that she would personally contact the warehouse for an update. Today is Dec 21, 2023 & we have not received any furniture, updates from our sales rep, Kristy, or calls from the delivery team to schedule. Once again, I called the store & was told to "contact your sales rep". Kristy is "out today" but (once again) says that she will "message my manager and see if anything's changed". Our contract stated, if there are changes or delays with your order, you will be contacted by your sales rep. It is a written agreement. Why hasn't Kristy contacted us? Why didn't she uphold this written agreement? POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! ZERO FOLLOW UP LIE AFTER LIE Take my advice, Shop ANYWHERE but Ashley Furniture of Chillicothe, Ohio! They DO NOT care about their customers, only about the sale. **Yes, we can cancel our order, but with a 25% restocking fee. They set this fee BECAUSE they know their service is horrible. I am in the process of contacting Ashley's corporate office. Will update this review once resolved. **Updating the review, as promised. After this review, the district manager, Tim contacted my husband in effort to find resolution to this nightmare. ****Let me make this VERY clear - Tim went ABOVE & BEYOND to rectify this issue! He was not even in Ohio, but states away. Remarkable the lengths someone who cares about their reputation & that of the company will go. If not for him, we would have cancelled the sale and moved on, as I had been in contact with Ashley Corporate and was in the process of cancelling this transaction. This district manager is peerless! Now... if he can train the store manager & sales reps to follow his lead, this store will be successful. Again, Thank you to the district manager, Tim for Keeping Your Word. Today, this is rare!
