We visited the Jantzen Beach store in Portland and was able to get exactly what we were looking for with the sales associate Khalil’s help. No run around, no pushing or pestering like you most experiences shopping for furniture. Lana was fast and efficient with the purchase transaction especially because we didn’t have our Ashley credit card in hand. Highly recommend this location!!

Save yourself the headache, shop somewhere else. I purchased a couch and loveseat from the showroom floor and was told it would take 6 weeks for delivery. When the order finally arrived, it turned out to be the wrong set. Unfortunately, I could not see the color was incorrect until after everything had been unpackaged in my home, at which point I was not allowed to refuse delivery. Ashley then reordered the correct items, which took another 6 weeks to arrive. When they finally did, both pieces came stained and discolored. Just a horrible experience all around. I would HIGHLY suggest shopping somewhere else.

We finally made a purchase after several visits to the store. Each time the sales team has been extremely courteous and patient despite having two young children we were trying to wrangle. Antonio was the sales representative during our last two visits and brought out some knick knacks and taffy for the kids. He happily showed us around the showroom floor and answered our many questions in our search for the sectional that fit our space. As I’m writing this from the parking lot, I’m watching him help another customer load their purchase into their vehicle. We are truly impressed! We purchased a $500 dining set in April of this year. It took three weeks to arrive in the States, which was expected. The unexpected part was our table arrived damaged; the table apron was snapped in half. Our experience when it came to customer service was poor. We simply wanted a replacement, not a refund; and that took a week of people with little to no knowledge on how to assist us with our issue. We got told “Person A knows more about this, call again tomorrow and they’ll help.” followed by “Person B knows how to fix this, but they’re not available today.” Half the time I got pushed to voicemail. When I left my callback information I never got a call back in those 7 days. We were the ones reaching out to fix the problem. Thankfully Lana, the store manager, was our saving grace. Once we got a hold of her, she had a game plan for us and made the return/reorder process simple. She was kind and understanding of our situation, and if she was the first person we talked to, I would have given this review 5 stars! I simply wish her coworkers could have a sliver of her compassion. It was such a headache with their lack of responsibility. I understand that it’s not the salespeople’s fault for a broken table, but it’s disheartening when these people are the point of contact for issues like ours and there’s no sense of urgency or care. Again, Lana, thank you for making our experience tolerable!

Was good, but know that anything you order is gonna take 2-4 weeks to come from their San Diego location. We ended up buying at Mor Furniture a few miles away. We paid a little more, but got exactly what we wanted…furniture was in stock, and they were giving away free gifts!

Have mixed feelings on my experience here. The showroom looks nice, everyone I interacted with was nice… I ordered a sofa and a chaise and upon delivery it turns out my address was written down wrong and then the chaise was ordered in the wrong color so it was taken back to the warehouse; I also had to have the sofa left in the driveway as I had other furniture still in the way that hadn’t been picked up so that was on me but when the chaise finally showed up 2 weeks later in the right color, it was also left outside as a “drop off” because that’s how the sofa was delivered, despite having conversations with associates that it would be brought into the house and taken up a flight of stairs. Lots of miscommunications, the delivery team in Salem is almost impossible to get a hold of… I’d do business with them again but would triple check that everything was ordered and written down correctly. I know the sales person I worked with was somewhat new and may have been eager for a sale but some of the frustrations could have been avoided.

Update: Our buying experience is up there with the worst customer service experience we have ever had. I don’t ever leave “bad” reviews but I have to share this for prospective buyers. I will sum it up to this: if I didn’t have a truck, luck, a flexible work schedule, and the physical ability to move this couch myself, we wouldn’t have a couch, and a torn couch at that. The couch was delivered to a warehouse in Portland and the store never notified us. We couldn’t get ahold of the store AT ALL during the week. My wife was able to get someone on the phone 1 time out of all the times we called. My wife was lucky enough to get the address to this warehouse in Portland that is only open 10am-3pm during the week. Not only that, but Ashley customer service had NO RECORD of our order. Ashley customer service said only the stores have order records [when you can’t contact the store, you are kind of at the mercy of just…hoping]. The store estimated 2-4 weeks. Here we are at week 8 and just got our couch in home. The warehouse said Ashley is known for all of this. Zero communication or assistance in getting our couch. We will never be back. Our couch also came ripped but we are upset enough that we are just going to try and sew it instead of trying to deal with Ashley on this. DO NOT PURCHASE ASHLEY FURNITURE OR THEIR WARRANTY – IT’S A COMPLETE SCAM! I am beyond pissed. Ashley Furniture is complete garbage, and their warranty is an absolute joke. Do not waste your money on their cheaply made furniture, and whatever you do, DO NOT PURCHASE THEIR WARRANTY—it’s worthless. I bought a full living room set—couches, a rug, a coffee table, the whole deal. Less than five years later, everything is falling apart. And no, this isn’t from rough use—it’s because the quality is absolute trash. My husband sat down on the couch, just sat down, and the frame snapped. That’s how poorly made their furniture is. The coffee table? Started peeling and falling apart after about a year or two. The materials they use are cheap, and it shows. Now, let’s talk about the so-called “warranty”. When we bought the set, the sales rep at Ashley pushed hard for us to add it, promising that it would cover everything—tears, zippers, stains, the works. That was a complete lie. The only thing it actually covers is the frame. That’s it. So if your couch tears, the seams come apart, or a zipper breaks? Too bad, they won’t fix it. When I called GBS (the warranty provider), it took months of back-and-forth just to get them to fix the broken frame. Meanwhile, they kept promising they’d take care of the fabric damage—but when I called back, suddenly it was, “Oh, sorry, your warranty doesn’t cover that.” Absolute scam. And Ashley’s furniture overall? Not worth the money. We went back once to look at bed sets, and my husband immediately pointed out how flimsy they were. Nothing is built to last. A couple of pieces seemed sturdy, but the rest? Cheap, low-quality, and overpriced. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. DO NOT BUY THEIR WARRANTY. It’s all a scam to get more money out of you while selling you junk that won’t even last five years. Spend your money at an actual furniture store where you’re paying for quality, not garbage.

We are extremely disappointed with our experience. We purchased a new bedroom set, but on three separate occasions, the delivery team attempted to deliver used, damaged pieces—clearly scratched, broken, and not in new condition. Each time, we refused the delivery, only to be made to wait another week, after which the same damaged pieces were sent again, often in even worse condition. This is unacceptable and has caused significant inconvenience, frustration, and time away from work. They lied to our faces multiple times, promising to send brand new items, that we would be added to some VIP list so quality would be ensured, which only lead to more frustration.

I came in to buy a bed and Bobby helped me out. He did a wonderful job and was super helpful. Found a great bed at a fantastic price. Definitely recommend coming in, everyone was friendly and welcoming.

My husband and I came in looking for a loveseat a few weeks ago. Joy greeted us upon coming in. We really wanted to look around and come back to chat with her when we were ready - something we did express to her, but she was very persistent and we felt like she was watching our every move. We were strongly considering a loveseat and we were close to buying it but what Joy did next really turned us off from purchasing. She printed a new listing for the loveseat and placed it on the table in front of us, telling us that it would only be $499 if we bought it today. If we waited until tomorrow, the price would be going up to $699, which was the price now reflected on the newly printed Ad she had just made. I waited to write this review because I wanted to see if the price was indeed going to go up. The loveseat is still listed at $499 on Ashley's website. I know the sales team earns commission at Ashley, and I knew what Joy was doing the day we were there. I was a retail manager for almost 10 years and this isn't the way I would be coaching my team to make a sale. I really didn't appreciate the disingenuous approach she took and I don't think we will be returning to Ashley - at least not to this location.

We went into the store to buy our sofa on November 6. We found a great couch and were told by one sales agent that we could get it by November 9, but at check out we were told December 11 which we were okay with because it would come before our daughter was born at the end of December and that’s why we wanted a new couch. Early December they called us and said it won’t be on time but should get to us a couple weeks late. Then we never heard anything. After countless calls we finally got ahold of someone who said early January which came and went. Then tons of more phone calls we finally got to talk to someone who said January 29, which came and went. No communication to us. We had to call 20 more times before someone answered and said the expected date for it to get to the warehouse is February 11. Our daughter is now 6 weeks old and we still don’t have the couch we bought in anticipation of her birth. We are very frustrated Icing on the cake: we finally got MOST of our sectional. The delivery team showed up with 4 of our 5 pieces and a book case that we didn’t order in place of the 5th piece. After a bit of investigation it appears this is very much Ashley’s fault as the delivery company states the bookshelf they brought us had been barcoded as the final piece to our order and the warehouse didn’t receive the right arm loveseat that is missing. Let the saga continue

So many people, including myself, are left with the huge question of when.. when will we get our items we purchased weeks/months ago? Is anyone receiving furniture? Does anyone get updates to their status of any possible delivery? This is a shameful state to see any business in. When people are left thinking they've been scammed into something by a reputable dealer like Ashley, it's incredibly frustrating and embarrassing to witness and be a part of the receiving end of this mess. Hey I have an idea, maybe offer a credit or some sort of compensation back to us. Maybe we should all get our delivery fees, or better yet the "protection package" you scammed us into opting for in order to have a "free delivery" should be refunded back to us. Good idea? Let's see this store take back their reputation in a way that we can all agree upon.

I am beyond frustrated with Ashley Furniture. I purchased a dining set (table with six chairs) on November 23, 2024, and over a month later, it still hasn’t been delivered. I bought the set in-store with the expectation of having it for Christmas gatherings with my family, but now I’ve had to completely change my plans. What’s worse is the lack of communication. No one takes responsibility for the delay, my calls go unanswered, and the only excuse I’ve been given is that "ownership changed" and that caused delays. Honestly, that's not my problem, and it's incredibly unprofessional!! I no longer need the set, and I am just requesting a refund. It’s shameful that it’s taken this long with no clear delivery date in sight. I will NEVER EVER buy anything from Ashley Furniture again!!!

On November 13th I went to Ashley furniture store to purchase a couch I found a lovely couch it was soft and plushy and wonderful, One of the clerks was so nice and wonderful to help me to get one of those wonderful expensive Ashley store credit cards we signed up for it and we got the couch all set up for delivery for December 14th they told me that they were going through a transition and they told me that by December 14th I would still get the couch and I had nothing to worry about Come December 14th I had received an email stating that the couch was on its way and it was going to be delivered however it never arrived and nobody called me to confirm or tell me that the couch was never coming I had to call them to find out where the couch was and what was going on they told me I wasn't getting the couch due to the shipping issues and the transition and it was going to be another 4 to 5 weeks if not longer I told him that this was unacceptable and I needed my couch they told me that they would see what they could do and that they would call me back they never called me back it has been a game of cat and mouse with them the entire time this has been an absolute waste of my time and money this is horrible customer service this is not the type of customer service you give your customers I have since contacted the better Business bureau and filed a complaint I have since called the Ashley store and canceled my order and I have since gone to mor furniture for less and purchased a couch plus more for a way better deal and even got way better freebies I would highly recommend people not shopping at Ashley furniture due to the headache and issues they provide and the horrible issues both in store and online this is not how you treat your customers and this is not the shopping experience customers should experience or go through when purchasing expensive furniture and by the way people mor furniture they have way better deals and I mean way better I saved over $2,000 on what I purchased from compared to what I had purchased with Ashley!!! Ashley furniture thanks for nothing and thanks for wasting my time and thanks for letting me go through the Christmas with no furniture in my apartment and have them sit on camp chairs what a wonderful holiday season.

Over $1600 was taken from my account on December 4 and here I am on December 19 with absolutely no idea when I would be receiving my chair. I was told I would be contacted on the 18th to schedule my delivery but I have heard nothing. Going this long without having any idea when I would receive my purchase definitely has me having second thoughts about my purchase. I never should have agreed to the purchase the minute I heard that my delivery wouldn't even be scheduled until 15 days after the money was removed from my account. Now to not even hear from them when I was told I would really makes me wonder.

This has been the wrists furniture buying experience ever. They're impossible to reach on the phone for updates or to schedule delivery. Just try to call them they will never answer. I received a message today to schedule delivery which I already did when I drove to the store since they won't pick up the phone. When I called it rang and rang then went to a full mail box that I couldn't leave a message on. I have tried over 20 times today. This is so frustrating

Whatever you do, please please please do not purchase the warranty!!!! It is such a scam. The warranty company absolutely sucks. You’ll spend hours on the phone asking and answering the dumbest questions of your life. They ask you questions and they keep you on the phone forever and then they say sorry we do not repair that. Please read the fine print. It was such a mistake. In my case my husband was really, talking me into it because we have four kids and we were buying a couch. I should’ve saved my money and then just hired a third company to come and clean it when I need it. .

I have to change my review from 5 stars to 1 star. The purchasing experience was fine and so was the saleperson. However, I made a purchase for my business in early December with a delivery date in late December. I live in New Hampshire and was furnishing my companys corporate apartment for our staff who travle to our west coast offices. I flew back to Oregon just to receive the delivery. However, the delivery never happened. No call, email, text to change the delivery date, I did receive a call two weeks before to confirm the delivery date. When I called their contractor for delivery they had nothing set up for delivery, I explained my situation of flying in just to receive the furniture and they assured me they would call me back with a resolution, they never did. I went to the store to receive a refund which took about a week to process, but at the store their was no sense of urgency or understanding of the disruption that their error made. Ultimately I went to a local competitor who was able to deliver in stock items prior to my scheduled flight back to New Hampshire. The most frustrating part of this was just the time I wasted with Ashley, and I can't get that back.

Ordered a couch. Had to cancel unfortunately on the 19th. The delivery date was the 20th, got second confirmation it was cancelled. Decided to order another sofa and loveseat on the 23rd. They said that delivery was the 7th but could change based on availability. On the 25th we got a delivery confirmation for the 29th. I thought amazing we would get it early. We did not get it early. It was the old one we had cancelled. I was on hold 3 different times, 2 of which they told me that they could not do anything for me because the furniture was “still on route” we rejected delivery. There is no way for earlier delivery and have still yet to receive a fourth call about what they can do about earlier delivery or compensation for the inconvenience. Honestly it made me question shopping at Ashley for any furniture. Overall customer support and store is disorganized and not connected. Always call the store not customer support because they do not communicate to the store.

Bought a couch, pillows & blanket on September 28th. STILL WAITING for my pillows and blanket in November!!! Delivery date has been moved 3 TIMES!!!! NO END IN SIGHT! They DO NOT respond to emails. Called their customer service line 4 times now and they won't do anything at all. Just keep moving the Delivery date further and further out. ZERO compensation. No real answers. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Right up there with Comcast and Verizon. I will NEVER do business with Ashley Furniture again!!

THIS SHOULD BE 0 stars! After picking a sofa that matched my needs, I went over the measurements of all my doorways and my elevator height with the salesperson who assisted me. After my wife and I spent three weeks sitting in camping chairs in my our new living room, delivery day arrived. When they brought the sofa, the delivery driver looked at my elevator and laughed in my face about bringing it upstairs, and told me they would only leave it in my lobby. An argument ensued, and (after my wife calmed me down) the sofa was sent back and I had to shop elsewhere. NEVER ASHLEY AGAIN

Delivery guys were fantastic! Very careful and quick. Taking off their shoes so they didn’t track rain water into the house. Just super careful and very nice.

We purchased a couch/chaise, matching chair, rocker/recliner, and rug for our newly remodeled kitchen family room. The couch and rug were the only items we saw in person. When the furniture was delivered (the rug was a week behind), we could tell that the chairs were too big for the room. However, we had never been informed that the furniture could not be returned once we accepted it. So, we wanted to take a day or two to really decide if it was too big. The delivery team did not say anything about us not being able to return anything once we signed for it, or we wouldn’t have accepted the two chairs. On Tuesday, three days after the delivery, I called to say we realized the chairs were too big for the room and could they be picked up when the rug was delivered. The Ashley representative said “Didn’t your salesperson tell you they could not be returned after you accepted them?” I told him no and neither did the delivery team. He wouldn’t budge. My husband called the store to speak to the salesperson and was referred to another department. He explained the situation to them and they said they would check on this and get back to us and never have. We contacted them within 72 hours of receiving the furniture and I feel this practice is deceptive and unacceptable. We will never be purchasing from Ashley again.

We bought a couch and was told it would be delivered on a Wednesday to our house in Lincoln City, 1 1/2 hours drive. They never showed. Never notified me. Said they decided to stop delivering there. Cost me $ and time (missed my daughter's graduation). Don't plan to shop there again.

We purchased a bedroom set in Early July. We were told there would be multiple deliveries and the last item, the bed would come in the beginning of September. There was no mention the bed was a brand new/never been shipped before item in the collection. We received all the other pieces as promised but the bed delivery date keeps getting pushed out. Nearly 4 months after paying for it we still don’t have the bed and have nobody can tell us with certainty when it will come. And despite several requests to speak with someone in management nobody has called. Customer service is very disappointing all the way from the sales person that sold us something that was not available to the market yet to the customer service staff we have spoken with several times to try to get more accurate order status information.

Delivery did not follow instructions. They got to the road (outside my apartment), took a pic of the apartment name and said there was no one home. Dispatch was rude. That’s what you get when you build a business and give your buddies a kick back to deliver to deliver at an extra cost to the clients. Anything small you order they want to charge you a lot of money. I hope you shut down one day!!!

Love the couch, customer service is subpar. They sent the wrong couch and it took another 3 weeks to get the right one. We were told that we might have to pay more for the correct couch to be delivered, which makes no sense because it was not our error and we had called multiple times to confirm it was the correct couch. Additionally we were told that we would receive a call back, once more information was collected and when the new delivery date was confirmed, as guessed, there was no call back, and again we had to call to track down the updated information. Never tell someone that you will call them back if you cannot 100% guarantee it, it is bad customer service. Being someone that comes from a customer service and sales background, I know that there are simple systems that can be put into place to prevent these issues in the future.

We went to Ashley for a single cabinet stool and two bar stools. We immediately found a cabinet stool that was perfect for our needs, and some possibilities for bar stools, but we were told that nothing in the store is for sale. Everything is ordered from a warehouse and shipped. We decided to order online, since the delivery was faster and cheaper, but the cabinet stools are only sold in pairs online. We were told that we could buy just one cabinet stool, but we would need to return to the store to order it from there. We returned to the store to order the $80 cabinet stool, but we were told it would be $99 delivery, so it would actually be cheaper to buy 2 online! While there, I measured the barstools that we had already ordered online, just to find that they are shorter than the dimensions posted on the website, and will be too short for our bar. The sales rep found a way to deliver the cabinet stool for $50, so the $80 stool will actually cost $130. We look forward to the delivery of the cabinet stool, but the bar stools will almost certainly need to be returned, since they will be too short. Why have a physical store if nothing is for sale, and it's cheaper (and faster) to buy directly from the website? And why have a website, if your products don't match the descriptions online? Overall, a very frustrating shopping experience. Update: The bar stools arrived, and sure enough, they are too short for our bar. Now they want me to pay for shipping to return them, even though they were misrepresented online. And I was also told the counter stool that we ordered directly from the store, but paid $50 to have delivered, is not returnable. All sales are final! Ashley seems to be doing everything they can to go out of business, and I wish them the best of luck with this endeavor!

Terrible experience. We have shopped at Ashley's online store multiple times, but this was our first time shopping from this store. We bought outdoor furniture for eight people. They charged us for delivery and assembly. The furniture was supposed to arrive today, and we took the day off work to wait for it. We were given a four-hour delivery window. After three hours of waiting, I checked my phone at 4:10 PM and saw a message at 4:02 PM stating they had arrived at 3:59 PM and needed to leave for their next stop by 4:14 PM. I called Ashley, and my husband went to the door. A very rude and aggressive man shouted at my husband that he wouldn't deliver the furniture because we didn't open the door. He yelled for five minutes! We checked our security camera and saw that the delivery person barely touched the door instead of ringing the bell. When I contacted Ashley, they insisted they had delivered it and we weren’t there. I explained that he didn't ring the bell, but they said they could deliver the furniture next week. I have one question for Ashley: If you charge us for delivery and assembly, how do you expect to move our furniture to the backyard and assemble it in just 15 minutes? It would take at least 30 minutes! This is clearly a management issue. Terrible experience! We are returning the furniture and do not recommend shopping at this store.

Terrible experience with buying a sofa. Waited too long for delivery. Delivery was terrible and they were rude and destructive in my home. I’ve called multiple times and each time they want me to do something else then wait for someone to call back. Same scam most places do,… make you do so much and wait you out so you give up. Terrible experience and I will never buy from them again nor recommend them. I had to give one star in order to submit but this deserves zero.

We’ve had a lot of retail experiences but tonight was one worth sharing. In need of a few furniture pieces, we stopped at Ashley to buy a few items since we sold most of our furniture with our home that we just moved from. Our sales associate, David, is one of the best customer service individuals I’ve experienced in a long time. Very attentive to our needs. Great listener and knowledgeable of the products. His style of communication would work well with many people. Definitely a star on that team. His colleague, Marta, offered some advice on one of the pieces and checked on us during our shopping time. She was personal and in tune with us as customers. If you need to buy any home furniture, I’d definitely recommend seeing David at this Ashley location.

2100 reviews at a furniture store is hard to believe. Ashley is 100% buying fake reviews. We ordered furniture to be delivered in two weeks. Turns out the two weeks is now four weeks. No reason why. Good thing we paid for shipping. Call to talk to someone and left on hold forever. We will not be doing business with Ashley in the future. Update: it took 6 weeks and too many phone calls to get our $700 back for a piece of furniture that only existed on the internet. Severe breakdown of communication between customer, store, and corporate. I'm glad it was only $700 and not $7000 Two thumbs up!

We were really excited to have found a new bedroom set but have been less than impressed with delivery. One piece we noticed a corner was damaged. They sent a technician who has ordered a replacement but it is going to take two weeks to get a replacement. The tech said the third party delivery company always damages at least one piece. Additionally, we ordered a new box spring for our king bed which is two twin size box springs. They sent a queen and a twin which I sent back on the truck. I was told we would have a new delivery date in 24-48 hours. It is a week later and I have called three times just to be told they can't send me new ones as the ones they originally sent are still on the truck. I asked to speak to a manager last time and was told they were in a meeting and I would get a call back that day. I am still waiting for a call back. We are starting to wish we purchased from another furniture store. The post purchase customer support is very frustrating and less than helpful.

She was extremely helpful and clearly answered all our questions even finding an answer from another colleague when she wasn’t certain of the answer. With her help we found a recliner and couch which met our needs. It was an excellent buying experience.
