I bought a bedroom set here that's truly gorgeous and solid and it looks great. *However* it arrived with a damaged headboard and I received the wrong dresser. They then tried to give me a damaged floor model dresser and it ended up taking them over 7 weeks from the time of initial delivery and close to a dozen phone calls to the local store to fix it. Even after I let the store know that I'm disabled and sleeping on the floor is extremely difficult for me and painful to get up there was no rush to fix this and they didn't offer anything to offset the major inconvenience. So, the furniture is great but pray you don't have a single thing wrong because you'll have a horrific experience getting it fixed. That aside, my salesperson was Antonio and he was so friendly, not pushy, and really knowledgeable.

We purchased a futon from here not too long ago. The gentleman who helped us was great and the overall initial experience was good. We didn't have the means to pick it up ourselves so we opted to use the delivery company that they suggested. A couple of weeks later we got a call from the delivery company to setup a time for delivery. When the couch was actually delivered, it was slightly damaged. We (including the delivery guys) believe it came that way from Ashley. One if the delivery guys took pictures and said he'd email them to their contact at Ashley. Two weeks went buy and we didn't hear anything. We called Ashley and they had no idea what we were talking about. So we called the moving company and they confirmed that they sent the email with pictures right after delivery. They even forwarded the email to us. So, at this point we knew Ashley was dropping the ball. We called back and told them about all of this and they said they'd get to the bottom of it. That was over two weeks ago and we still haven't heard anything. At this point, I don't think this is ever going to get resolved. Essentially, once they got our money from us, they didn't care about anything else after that. Needless to say, we won't be giving this company our business ever again after this.

Had a great experience here. We came in just looking, and ended up finding a couch and recliner that we loved. We worked with Kalil and he was great! He was knowledgeable, friendly, and was able to find us a great deal.

There was a mix-up with my dining table order, so when delivered it wasn’t what the picture looked like online. The item was returned and in-store credit was given. In a different store, I found a table I liked, so went back to the Jantzen Beach store to order it. Deanne and Marta were the best! They were understanding to my situation, quickly placed my new order, and comped the delivery fee since the online photo was not what the table looked like when received. I am so thankful for their great customer service.

BUYER BEWARE: Non-Existent Quality Control and Zero Service! Ashley Furniture seems great in the store, but that is the furthest thing from the truth. We bought several pieces, only to receive complete garbage. Our brand-new dining chair is unusable because a leg is a massive 3/4 of an inch shorter than the others. Their Quality Assurance is nonexistent—who wants to sit in a defective, wobbly chair like that? Worse still is their customer service. I have called the store over 17 times since October, and it is now almost Christmas, and the defective chair is still not fixed. This whole experience was a huge deflator for our new home. I strongly advise everyone to avoid this company!!

Ashley Home Store has a good selection of furniture, and I was greeted and attended to throughout my visit. The staff showed patience and professionalism, especially when I had some payment issues, which I appreciated. Unfortunately, the experience after purchase was disappointing. I was not notified when my items were delivered to the warehouse for final delivery, and they apparently sat there for over two weeks. The wrong colors for the bar stools and couch were ordered, and no correction or compensation was offered. The queen bed frame arrived with missing supports, miscut wooden slats, and predrilled holes that did not line up correctly. On top of that, I have been missing a $300 coffee table since placing my order back in the first week of January. I reached out to Ashley several times in the first few months, but struggled to get a hold of anyone at the store. I resorted to calling their 1‑800 number, which wasn’t very helpful since the physical location is a franchise store with different systems. They did assist in getting someone on the phone a few times. The claim for the bed went absolutely nowhere. After not hearing back from them for a couple of months, I ended up ordering universal bed supports myself to finally get my back to stop hurting and have a restful night of sleep. While the in‑store service was positive, the fulfillment, product quality, and lack of follow‑through on customer support left me very dissatisfied. I would encourage anyone to buy furniture elsewhere, where the customer support is better.

We worked with Robin, and he was fantastic. He was exceptionally helpful, even when he knew we weren't in a position to make a purchase that day. He went above and beyond to explain our options on color schemes, pricing, availability, and even shipping. If you are going to the Jantzen Beach Ashley store, seek out Robin and you can't go wrong.

We visited the Jantzen Beach store in Portland and was able to get exactly what we were looking for with the sales associate Khalil’s help. No run around, no pushing or pestering like you most experiences shopping for furniture. Lana was fast and efficient with the purchase transaction especially because we didn’t have our Ashley credit card in hand. Highly recommend this location!!

Save yourself the headache, shop somewhere else. I purchased a couch and loveseat from the showroom floor and was told it would take 6 weeks for delivery. When the order finally arrived, it turned out to be the wrong set. Unfortunately, I could not see the color was incorrect until after everything had been unpackaged in my home, at which point I was not allowed to refuse delivery. Ashley then reordered the correct items, which took another 6 weeks to arrive. When they finally did, both pieces came stained and discolored. Just a horrible experience all around. I would HIGHLY suggest shopping somewhere else.

We finally made a purchase after several visits to the store. Each time the sales team has been extremely courteous and patient despite having two young children we were trying to wrangle. Antonio was the sales representative during our last two visits and brought out some knick knacks and taffy for the kids. He happily showed us around the showroom floor and answered our many questions in our search for the sectional that fit our space. As I’m writing this from the parking lot, I’m watching him help another customer load their purchase into their vehicle. We are truly impressed! We purchased a $500 dining set in April of this year. It took three weeks to arrive in the States, which was expected. The unexpected part was our table arrived damaged; the table apron was snapped in half. Our experience when it came to customer service was poor. We simply wanted a replacement, not a refund; and that took a week of people with little to no knowledge on how to assist us with our issue. We got told “Person A knows more about this, call again tomorrow and they’ll help.” followed by “Person B knows how to fix this, but they’re not available today.” Half the time I got pushed to voicemail. When I left my callback information I never got a call back in those 7 days. We were the ones reaching out to fix the problem. Thankfully Lana, the store manager, was our saving grace. Once we got a hold of her, she had a game plan for us and made the return/reorder process simple. She was kind and understanding of our situation, and if she was the first person we talked to, I would have given this review 5 stars! I simply wish her coworkers could have a sliver of her compassion. It was such a headache with their lack of responsibility. I understand that it’s not the salespeople’s fault for a broken table, but it’s disheartening when these people are the point of contact for issues like ours and there’s no sense of urgency or care. Again, Lana, thank you for making our experience tolerable!

Have mixed feelings on my experience here. The showroom looks nice, everyone I interacted with was nice… I ordered a sofa and a chaise and upon delivery it turns out my address was written down wrong and then the chaise was ordered in the wrong color so it was taken back to the warehouse; I also had to have the sofa left in the driveway as I had other furniture still in the way that hadn’t been picked up so that was on me but when the chaise finally showed up 2 weeks later in the right color, it was also left outside as a “drop off” because that’s how the sofa was delivered, despite having conversations with associates that it would be brought into the house and taken up a flight of stairs. Lots of miscommunications, the delivery team in Salem is almost impossible to get a hold of… I’d do business with them again but would triple check that everything was ordered and written down correctly. I know the sales person I worked with was somewhat new and may have been eager for a sale but some of the frustrations could have been avoided.

Update: Our buying experience is up there with the worst customer service experience we have ever had. I don’t ever leave “bad” reviews but I have to share this for prospective buyers. I will sum it up to this: if I didn’t have a truck, luck, a flexible work schedule, and the physical ability to move this couch myself, we wouldn’t have a couch, and a torn couch at that. The couch was delivered to a warehouse in Portland and the store never notified us. We couldn’t get ahold of the store AT ALL during the week. My wife was able to get someone on the phone 1 time out of all the times we called. My wife was lucky enough to get the address to this warehouse in Portland that is only open 10am-3pm during the week. Not only that, but Ashley customer service had NO RECORD of our order. Ashley customer service said only the stores have order records [when you can’t contact the store, you are kind of at the mercy of just…hoping]. The store estimated 2-4 weeks. Here we are at week 8 and just got our couch in home. The warehouse said Ashley is known for all of this. Zero communication or assistance in getting our couch. We will never be back. Our couch also came ripped but we are upset enough that we are just going to try and sew it instead of trying to deal with Ashley on this. Please, buyer beware if you’re going to spend thousands of dollars on a couch here. I’m trying to look out for you by leaving an honest review.

I bought a full living room set—couches, a rug, a coffee table, the whole deal. Less than five years later, everything is falling apart. And no, this isn’t from rough use—it’s because the quality is absolute trash. My husband sat down on the couch, just sat down, and the frame snapped. That’s how poorly made their furniture is. The coffee table? Started peeling and falling apart after about a year or two. The materials they use are cheap, and it shows. Now, let’s talk about the so-called “warranty”. When we bought the set, the sales rep at Ashley pushed hard for us to add it, promising that it would cover everything—tears, zippers, stains, the works. That was a complete lie. The only thing it actually covers is the frame. That’s it. So if your couch tears, the seams come apart, or a zipper breaks? Too bad, they won’t fix it. When I called GBS (the warranty provider), it took months of back-and-forth just to get them to fix the broken frame. Meanwhile, they kept promising they’d take care of the fabric damage—but when I called back, suddenly it was, “Oh, sorry, your warranty doesn’t cover that.” Absolute scam. And Ashley’s furniture overall? Not worth the money. We went back once to look at bed sets, and my husband immediately pointed out how flimsy they were. Nothing is built to last. A couple of pieces seemed sturdy, but the rest? Cheap, low-quality, and overpriced. Bottom line: DO NOT BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE. DO NOT BUY THEIR WARRANTY. It’s all a scam to get more money out of you while selling you junk that won’t even last five years. Spend your money at an actual furniture store where you’re paying for quality, not garbage.

My husband and I came in looking for a loveseat a few weeks ago. Joy greeted us upon coming in. We really wanted to look around and come back to chat with her when we were ready - something we did express to her, but she was very persistent and we felt like she was watching our every move. We were strongly considering a loveseat and we were close to buying it but what Joy did next really turned us off from purchasing. She printed a new listing for the loveseat and placed it on the table in front of us, telling us that it would only be $499 if we bought it today. If we waited until tomorrow, the price would be going up to $699, which was the price now reflected on the newly printed Ad she had just made. I waited to write this review because I wanted to see if the price was indeed going to go up. The loveseat is still listed at $499 on Ashley's website. I know the sales team earns commission at Ashley, and I knew what Joy was doing the day we were there. I was a retail manager for almost 10 years and this isn't the way I would be coaching my team to make a sale. I really didn't appreciate the disingenuous approach she took and I don't think we will be returning to Ashley - at least not to this location.

We went into the store to buy our sofa on November 6. We found a great couch and were told by one sales agent that we could get it by November 9, but at check out we were told December 11 which we were okay with because it would come before our daughter was born at the end of December and that’s why we wanted a new couch. Early December they called us and said it won’t be on time but should get to us a couple weeks late. Then we never heard anything. After countless calls we finally got ahold of someone who said early January which came and went. Then tons of more phone calls we finally got to talk to someone who said January 29, which came and went. No communication to us. We had to call 20 more times before someone answered and said the expected date for it to get to the warehouse is February 11. Our daughter is now 6 weeks old and we still don’t have the couch we bought in anticipation of her birth. We are very frustrated Icing on the cake: we finally got MOST of our sectional. The delivery team showed up with 4 of our 5 pieces and a book case that we didn’t order in place of the 5th piece. After a bit of investigation it appears this is very much Ashley’s fault as the delivery company states the bookshelf they brought us had been barcoded as the final piece to our order and the warehouse didn’t receive the right arm loveseat that is missing. Let the saga continue

So many people, including myself, are left with the huge question of when.. when will we get our items we purchased weeks/months ago? Is anyone receiving furniture? Does anyone get updates to their status of any possible delivery? This is a shameful state to see any business in. When people are left thinking they've been scammed into something by a reputable dealer like Ashley, it's incredibly frustrating and embarrassing to witness and be a part of the receiving end of this mess. Hey I have an idea, maybe offer a credit or some sort of compensation back to us. Maybe we should all get our delivery fees, or better yet the "protection package" you scammed us into opting for in order to have a "free delivery" should be refunded back to us. Good idea? Let's see this store take back their reputation in a way that we can all agree upon.

I am beyond frustrated with Ashley Furniture. I purchased a dining set (table with six chairs) on November 23, 2024, and over a month later, it still hasn’t been delivered. I bought the set in-store with the expectation of having it for Christmas gatherings with my family, but now I’ve had to completely change my plans. What’s worse is the lack of communication. No one takes responsibility for the delay, my calls go unanswered, and the only excuse I’ve been given is that "ownership changed" and that caused delays. Honestly, that's not my problem, and it's incredibly unprofessional!! I no longer need the set, and I am just requesting a refund. It’s shameful that it’s taken this long with no clear delivery date in sight. I will NEVER EVER buy anything from Ashley Furniture again!!!

On November 13th I went to Ashley furniture store to purchase a couch I found a lovely couch it was soft and plushy and wonderful, One of the clerks was so nice and wonderful to help me to get one of those wonderful expensive Ashley store credit cards we signed up for it and we got the couch all set up for delivery for December 14th they told me that they were going through a transition and they told me that by December 14th I would still get the couch and I had nothing to worry about Come December 14th I had received an email stating that the couch was on its way and it was going to be delivered however it never arrived and nobody called me to confirm or tell me that the couch was never coming I had to call them to find out where the couch was and what was going on they told me I wasn't getting the couch due to the shipping issues and the transition and it was going to be another 4 to 5 weeks if not longer I told him that this was unacceptable and I needed my couch they told me that they would see what they could do and that they would call me back they never called me back it has been a game of cat and mouse with them the entire time this has been an absolute waste of my time and money this is horrible customer service this is not the type of customer service you give your customers I have since contacted the better Business bureau and filed a complaint I have since called the Ashley store and canceled my order and I have since gone to mor furniture for less and purchased a couch plus more for a way better deal and even got way better freebies I would highly recommend people not shopping at Ashley furniture due to the headache and issues they provide and the horrible issues both in store and online this is not how you treat your customers and this is not the shopping experience customers should experience or go through when purchasing expensive furniture and by the way people mor furniture they have way better deals and I mean way better I saved over $2,000 on what I purchased from compared to what I had purchased with Ashley!!! Ashley furniture thanks for nothing and thanks for wasting my time and thanks for letting me go through the Christmas with no furniture in my apartment and have them sit on camp chairs what a wonderful holiday season.

Over $1600 was taken from my account on December 4 and here I am on December 19 with absolutely no idea when I would be receiving my chair. I was told I would be contacted on the 18th to schedule my delivery but I have heard nothing. Going this long without having any idea when I would receive my purchase definitely has me having second thoughts about my purchase. I never should have agreed to the purchase the minute I heard that my delivery wouldn't even be scheduled until 15 days after the money was removed from my account. Now to not even hear from them when I was told I would really makes me wonder.

This has been the wrists furniture buying experience ever. They're impossible to reach on the phone for updates or to schedule delivery. Just try to call them they will never answer. I received a message today to schedule delivery which I already did when I drove to the store since they won't pick up the phone. When I called it rang and rang then went to a full mail box that I couldn't leave a message on. I have tried over 20 times today. This is so frustrating

I should’ve saved my money and then just hired a third company to come and clean it when I need it. .

I have to change my review from 5 stars to 1 star. The purchasing experience was fine and so was the saleperson. However, I made a purchase for my business in early December with a delivery date in late December. I live in New Hampshire and was furnishing my companys corporate apartment for our staff who travle to our west coast offices. I flew back to Oregon just to receive the delivery. However, the delivery never happened. No call, email, text to change the delivery date, I did receive a call two weeks before to confirm the delivery date. When I called their contractor for delivery they had nothing set up for delivery, I explained my situation of flying in just to receive the furniture and they assured me they would call me back with a resolution, they never did. I went to the store to receive a refund which took about a week to process, but at the store their was no sense of urgency or understanding of the disruption that their error made. Ultimately I went to a local competitor who was able to deliver in stock items prior to my scheduled flight back to New Hampshire. The most frustrating part of this was just the time I wasted with Ashley, and I can't get that back.

Ordered a couch. Had to cancel unfortunately on the 19th. The delivery date was the 20th, got second confirmation it was cancelled. Decided to order another sofa and loveseat on the 23rd. They said that delivery was the 7th but could change based on availability. On the 25th we got a delivery confirmation for the 29th. I thought amazing we would get it early. We did not get it early. It was the old one we had cancelled. I was on hold 3 different times, 2 of which they told me that they could not do anything for me because the furniture was “still on route” we rejected delivery. There is no way for earlier delivery and have still yet to receive a fourth call about what they can do about earlier delivery or compensation for the inconvenience. Honestly it made me question shopping at Ashley for any furniture. Overall customer support and store is disorganized and not connected. Always call the store not customer support because they do not communicate to the store.

Ying ended up helping us out and made the process very simple. Months later.... On 2nd note this is the worst customer service I've ever received. Ying never disclosed that we are not able to return at all becouse they don't have a return policy Feels like I should know that when I buy something worth close to 5000$. So when they are unable to even deliver the full bedroom set with a missing footboard and me calling them every couple days to see what is going on I get the same.."..let me call you back today...." then they reassure me in their system it's supposed to be at the whearhouse tommorrow" I call the next day and the same 2 quotes are said. I've talked to the manager, I've talked to practically almost all the staff at this point. It has been the most frustrating experience ever. Even if they manage to deliver the item eventually I will definatly NOY be purchasing anything from them again.
