Horrible, horrible, horrible customer service! Called them multiple times to ask a simple question regarding my delivery date ( which they kept on switching to further dates ) , no one answered and kept on going to voicemail saying they are busy helping other customers. Drive to the store, and all the workers are sitting on couches and chatting. They switched my delivery date 5 times !! Just canceling my order at this point !

I used to work for this company, for years actually, until I entered the Marine Corps a year ago. Before I left for bootcamp I purchased some product with my employee discount because I knew that while I was enlisted for the next 5 years there was little chance I’d be able to afford to buy new furniture. After I shipped out the company changed hands to corporate. My product was supposed to be delivered to my parents house for me while I was gone but when I got back home on leave nothing had arrived. It’s been a year and I have yet to receive my product. At first they said they couldn’t find the sale, so while on leave I came into the store and showed them where to find it. It existed, showed I’d payed, the product I’d ordered, and that I hadn’t received it yet. I was told they’d take care of it. Months later still nothing. Now they are telling me they will not honor the sale. I can either have a refund or purchase something at full price. Little do they understand I worked for this company for YEARS. On the sales floor, working my way up to assistant manager and onto store manager. I used to ORDER this product. I KNOW the costs. It wouldn’t cost them a penny, they just wouldn’t make money which is kind of the point when an employee who’s put years into a company buys something. We didn’t have great benefits but we were allowed to order products at a discounted rate. SHAME ON YOU CORPORATE ASHLEY, there’s a reason you’ve lost nearly every single original employee since taking over, there’s a reason the once thriving store who cared about their customers is being slowly but surely driven into the ground, and that’s because you care more about your bottom dollar than the individual and what’s ironic? When the Kelly family owned your store they did care and they managed to run one of the most successful Ashley stores in the country. If you want to be treated like family and a person instead of a customer about to get swindled, go to Kelly’s across the street and STAY THE HECK AWAY FROM CORPORATE OWNED ASHLEYS OF SALEM

Ordered a couch online and of course when i get my delivery date, and then take the day off to make sure i was home to receive my couch, It never shows up. I proceed to call to see where it is and they gave me another delivery time, another month out saying i was never given a time. Not that this ‘update’ was very useful considering they gave me a week and a half range of time to expect it. Just sat on the phone for half an hour to try and figure out when it would get here but no one answered the phone… My mom has had a different experience where they completely lost a chair yet we thought it was just an inconvenience. How do you just lose a chair? It’s honestly unexceptable.

Update 9/15 as I still haven’t been helped after leaving this review, emailing their review page, Facebook and Instagram my better business bureau case number 18033460 The worst customer service I have ever received. I purchased a new bedroom set during their Presidents’ Day promotion where I should have received a MasterCard gift card for 10% of my financed amount. I have attempted to get this issue resolved with the store over 10 times and have repeatedly been told they will start the process to get this fixed, when I call to follow up they tell me they will check in on it and call me back. I was most recently told I would receive any email so I would be able to have a point of contact since I have been having such trouble. I have never received a phone call or email. I will unfortunately be leaving reviews on every sight, going to every news outlet, and better business bureau if this review can’t resolve my issue. Like many others have recently recommended, do not buy from here.

I recommend not buying anything from this business or this company, if you want your furniture delivered this century anyway (details below). We had a terrible experience here that was a gigantic waste of time. We placed an order for multiple items, totaling $3,850 in mid-June, being told it would be no problem to have them delivered within 30 days. The delivery date came and went without any notification from them. We called multiple times, had rude service to deal with the order, and were offered no apology, update, or discount. A subsequent call got us a "should be end of the week" and "we'll call you to let you know" from the manager. Of course, neither of these things happened. A THIRD call got us a new estimate of delivery 5 WEEKS FROM NOW. No. We canceled and found two comparable sofas through Costco, and the exact same futon through WayFair. Both will be delivered to us within the week. Of course there was no delay with Ashley Home Furniture charging us, which they did day of the order. Awful service and communication, borderline scammy. Update: All our furniture orders arrived on time from other companies. The install and delivery was included in the cost, sometimes for the exact same item we had originally tried to purchase from Ashley. I can confirm that Wayfair and Costco are better options.
