I really appreciated the friendly small talk while he gathered my information; it made the process feel comfortable and personal. Bought a living room set. Paid $300 for delivery, then they tell you they only come to Leesville on Tuesday, no other day. Delivery is to see how quick they can get in and out. Recliner will not work in our room. Called them 15 minutes after they left and they said they couldn't come back. You can't get anyone in the Columbia store to pickup. All goes to a answering service. 25% restocking fee if you don't like it. We have never bought from them and will never buy again. Economy furniture is way better but didn't have this Ashley set. Overall a terrible experience.

Even when we were indecisive he did not show any frustrations with us. He connected with us on a personal level and truly made us feel like family more than just another sale. He ensured we did not feel rushed. We have been to so many furniture stores trying to find the perfect kitchen table and I truly believe it was more the service we were receiving that kept us on the hunt for the perfect one but from the very minute we met John Paul we were able to feel like he would help us get the right one. We even decided to purchase my wife's dream bed frame because we knew John Paul would make sure everything was handled properly. He was very informative of the entire process from picking out our furniture to the financial agreement to the delivery and set up. Would highly recommend Ashley's furniture and seeing John Paul!

We just had a great experience at the Ashley Furniture Store in Columbia, SC. Cindy was very helpful and made our purchase decision an easy one.

Arriving at the furniture store this morning I had it set in my head it was going ro be a HORRIBLE experience because I was here once before and I did not have a good experience. Susie was the first to greet me and I was welcomed into the space by a happy/kind voice but I was already prepared to be treated poorly based on my last visit; but I need a freaking rocker/ recliner. I walked from the front to the rear of the store, sat in several chairs and Susie reappeared with asking if everything is OK, no compliments no cos playing, just approaching with kindness and the willingness to just help me. Susie walked the entire store with me making purchase plans and sharing sujection with furniture placement, color and reconstruction possibilities of a piece. The interaction was beautiful. After this experience Susie will be my go to for the two chairs I purchased today and hopefully the chair I plan to turn into a rocker/recliner. Susie thank you for the mental/ attitude redirection, I am a Ashley Furniture Friend for life now because of you.

Great store

We’ve been furniture shopping off and on for the last several weeks with varying amounts of success. As soon as we walked into Ashley’s, John Paul greeted us, explained the layout of the store, and allowed us to peruse at our own leisure. He even brought us water while we had a nice chat! Big thanks for being our guide and helping us out!

It ain’t the furniture I got a problem with it’s the gm Troy. I came in and saw him jump in front of a salesman that was about to greet me, heard gm tell the salesman I got this one you’re about useless when it comes to selling. I ain’t about you disrespecting your people in front of customers. Told him I was looking for a sofa set he took me to one I didn’t like kept telling me he’d give me a huge discount only he can give if I bought today. I don’t know if he wasn’t listening or didn’t care what I was telling him but he was damn pushy. Treat your people better and listen to your customers better Troy

Ed Straiter at Harbison (Cola, SC) location did a great job; no pressure sales! I actually went in there a couple months ago and he spent over an hour + with me and was very patient...finally took my wife in to choose and purchase (months later), and dealt with Ed again...and he took his time to make sure what we purchased was what we wanted. Most salesmen wouldn't take their time on anyone again, especially if you took months to pull the trigger. Ashley Furniture has always been great in the past for me...20+ years... We already knew what we wanted and Ed made it very quick and easy...5 Stars.

Value City Furniture has provided one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve ever encountered—especially considering I purchased this furniture for my wife. She picked up her dresser and mirror, only to discover that both items were damaged. When the warranty technician came to inspect them, he confirmed the internal bar was bent and broken and could not be repaired. The store then ordered a replacement set that was supposed to arrive on November 19. After speaking with the manager on November 18, I believed the issue was finally being handled. But days later, the store suddenly acted like they had no record of the replacement order. My wife has emailed multiple times and called repeatedly—no one returns the calls, and the emails continue to go unanswered. On top of this, we paid $250 for the first pickup. Now she is being told she must pay another $350 to have the damaged dresser removed from our home, returned to the store, and then have the replacement delivered. This is completely unreasonable, especially when the damage was through no fault of hers. We have asked for a corporate contact number and for a manager to reach out—neither request has been honored. At this point, I will be filing a complaint with the BBB and disputing the purchase with my credit card company. Value City Furniture needs to take responsibility and reimburse the second delivery fee or provide complimentary delivery for the replacement. Their lack of accountability and communication is unacceptable.

Keith, our helpful sales agent at the Harbison Ashley outlet, couldn't have been friendlier or more knowledgeable. He even threw in some expensive lamps as a housewarming gift to thank us for our purchase! We purchased a beautiful bed and night stand. Our requirements were not easy to meet, because of the dimensions of the bedroom, but he found us the perfect set. Weeks later, we had arranged to exchange the mattress for a thinner one, but Ashley rescheduled 2 delivery dates. I called to ask why, and Brandon was very helpful in straightening out the issue and getting us a prompt delivery.

although we love the couch the staffing and customer service is absolutely rude and unprofessional. For starters when we got the couch the workers who delivered it and put it together ripped through the packaging with knives with no care causing them to cut the fabric on one of our couch pieces. When we called customer service the man who answered the phone was not helpful but instead gave us attitude and did not help and barley compensated us is any way. Fast forward to now we’ve waited over a month for someone to come fix it and the day they were supposed to, they showed up to our home texted that they were here then asked to reschedule and t drove off never to return. As much as the couch was purchased for and the cost of their furniture this place needs to find better employees who actually give their company a better look because right now its flat out embarrassing with what we’ve dealt with.

Keith is Awesome ! Go see him for all your redecorating needs. He will take care of you. Warning. Their customer service area is horrible. We have waited for 7 weeks for a bedroom delivery. They do not pay attention to anything when they contact you if you have an issue. It has been 4 times and they still have not delivered everything we have ordered. Over 5k spent, and it's been a horrible experience. We will never buy anything from them again. Ever!!! 7 weeks plus so far. Nothing but excuses.

I like AHF well enough. I got most of my furniture and bedding from there. The staff is efficient and friendly. However, I wouldn’t recommend buying the Purple Pillow from there. I would suggest buying it directly from Purple as they do refunds and exchanges and can’t honor that if you buy from a third party like AHF. They’re pricey pillows, so I’m pretty bummed about that.

Brandon N. was amazing! From the time my husband & I stepped into the store, he greeted us w a friendly smile & was extremely professional! He guided us to the bedroom sets & mattresses & we were on our way. Less than an hour & we were done! Completely painless!! Even when I came by a few days later, Brandon N. greeted med & remembered who I was. He added additional furniture to the original invoice. He had to contact his manager, not a big deal, to add the additional furniture for financing. He told me, as I was on my lunch break, I'll text you when my manager approves the order & email you the updated invoices. He did what he said he would within an hour after I left the store! I came in needing a new bed not sure where to start in Ashley’s. Fortunately I met Keith at the front door. He welcomed me and made me feel at home. He asked me what my needs were a led me to try any bed I wanted. I felt all positive energy from Keith and honestly felt like he was trying to help my individual needs. I left that day happy as he found my the perfect bed. The Purple bed. I month later he even helped a friend of my get her Purple bed too! Keith truly saved us a lot of stress finding us the perfect bed for our needs and I very grateful to him!

I hate furniture shopping with a capital H. I am indecisive by nature and can be a real PITA to deal with when given too many options to pick from! Cue JP! Soft spoken, not your typical furniture store stalker, knowledgeable and works with your budget as best as he can and truly is just a straight up nice guy. He assisted us with furnishing 75% of our house over the course of a few weeks. We highly recommend utilizing him as your Sales Consultant!

Ashley has GREAT furniture, the place is great, clean and it has a great variety. However, I find it really expensive (for my budget) we wanted to compare with other stores near there and everything was at least 500$ more expensive for smaller furniture at Ashley. We were offered a discount to buy a sectional and at the end it was 900$ more expensive than the price listed.

Dan did a phenomenal job in meeting our expectations. As soon as we entered the store he was attentive and provided with our own time to peruse the store at our own pace. He continued to check on us and when we returned the next day to purchase, he continued to provide outstanding closing service. Thanks Dan!!

They could have explained why we received several confirmations, including the time frame for the delivery. The day before the delivery confirming the delivery would arrive, and then later in the day we received an voicemail saying the order would not be delivered and must be rescheduled. Aparently, Ashely did not have all the parts of my order. Ashley is unable yo explain how this could happen. Bad servuce

When we walked in, Troy Walker greeted us. He simply asked us what we were looking for, we told him, and we were on our way with no pressure. He said to just find him when we were ready, which was not hard to do. We found a deal we wanted, but wanted to make a few tweaks to it, which Troy did. All in all, it was a great experience.

Me and my family walked into the store and was immediately greeted by Lance , he was very friendly and educational on the mattresses and couches we looked at. We went to four stores before coming to Ashley’s and he was the only salesman that did not try to talk us into buying something we didn’t need or want and he worked with us based off our budget very well. If it weren’t for him we wouldn’t have walked out the door with our new sectional and mattress. Lance was amazing! He helped me find a mattress so easily (and I am very finicky.) He helped me understand the differences and gave me recommendations based on my priorities. He also helped me find sofas, again, listening to what I wanted versus trying to sell me on his favorites. I went to all 3 big furniture stores on Harbison and this one was the best, especially working with Lance.
