We just moved to the area and were looking to get some furniture for our new home. We met Dan when we came into Ashley. He was so professional, very informative and patient with us. He helped us pick out a gorgeous L-shaped couch and 2 beautiful headboard and footboard sets for our guest rooms. Dan did an incredible job during our shopping experience. My 80 year old mom is moving into a one bedroom apartment at a local nursing home, and we wanted to get her some new living room furniture. This was the first store we came too, and she fell in love with a chair. She wanted to try some other stores, but we ended up coming back to buy the whole set. Dan made this process extremely easy, and we also got a great discount. He was helpful, while not being pushy, and got the buying process moving as my mother sat in this chair she loved. She was overjoyed with how kind Dan was, and wanted to make sure I left him a 5 star review before we left.

All I had to do was say what I was interested in and he would walk me straight to a product that I would love. He took time and explained payments and pricing so efficiently. Brandon N was awesome when it came to helping my dad purchase his furniture for his home. We came in to the store and gravitated to him and he treated us like VIP. He made sure that we purchased exactly what we wanted. He showed us items but never pushed us to get something just because it is "popular". I would've given 5 stars however the delivery of a dining room table the delivery people left a big gash in our wall. Stripping the paint. Unfortunately as minimal as it is it'll be a pain to try to find the exact match for paint as we are new home owners so I have zero clue what type and what exact color the paint is. Live and learn we had issues at our old Ashley furniture store and figured we would give this new one the benefit of the doubt. Never again will we shop at an Ashley Furniture Store. We had zero issue with another furniture company that delivered many Moore items with no scratches to any wall or floor.

Brandon Nichols is one of the most helpful people I’ve ever interacted with in the consumer industry. Brandon helped me and my fiancé find the perfect couch. It was delivered and within a week, it was squeaking really bad. I was back and forth with customer service and the repair department for 3 months with no luck. I was completely and entirely fed up with the situation. Brandon saw a review I left (at corporate, not at the store). He called and asked what was going on and said to give him a day. Brandon called me back the next day and said he got them to agree to replace the whole couch and it would be ready in about a week. I know that will not always be the case for everyone, but my point in sharing this is that he will go above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of to the best extent that he can help with.

Overall the sale process of my experience was pleasant. The problems began when my salesperson Brandon, made a mistake on my order and ordered too many chairs. During delivery I mentioned that there were too many but because the invoice was “not wrong” they had to leave them with me and I had to call the store. Call after call the buck was passed. 3 times I was told they would create a return ticket but yet, nothing happened and no record was made each time. I finally got the store manager (also Brandon) to return my call and he tried to feed me some bs that when you calculate the discount I was given (because there was a sale) against what the price should/would have been that I actually got the two extra chairs for free. I said no… you take the price I paid for the chairs and divide it by how many I paid for and that is the price I paid for each. That would be my refund amount. Nope. He flat out refused. Please note that according to the store manager, they don’t return merchandise they only create service tickets. Evidently even if the mistake was theirs. So make sure you check your invoice before you leave the store. The way they check you out in the store, you can’t see the screen at the counter, they just tell you what your total is and they run your credit card. It isn’t until they hand you your invoice that you can see what was actually ordered. So in the end I’m stuck with 2 extra chairs in my dining room that I had to pay for!! It’s sad that sales tactics have come to this. Update: I replied to their response in two separate occasions with no reply. I guess they just wanted to reply for show. Not surprised.

September 2nd Greeted by Store Owner/Manager. Stated we wanted a mattress and inquired about haul away, was told yes to haul away. Handed to Lance, who agreed they do Haul Away. Agreed to place order. Printer not working, so order was emailed. Confirmed with Lance ordered contained 1 Queen, 1 Base, 2 Covers and Haul Away. Informed later delivery date, due to base needing to be ordered. September 10th Ashley order Dpt called and asked if we meant to order a Queen Mattress and King Base, we did not. Rep stated email needs to be sent to fix. Inquired if issue be fixed and delivered on same date, confirmed yes. Was told to call Harbison and expedite issue. Transferred phone, Lance wasn’t working, other worker fixed issue. Inquired if issue be fixed and delivered on same date, confirmed yes. September 17th Delivery Day! 45 minutes late, fine. Only Mattress was delivered, and refused to take haul away. Delivery guy called a rep, rep spoke with me, rep stated base will be delivered October 3rd, and if Haul Away wasn’t on the order form, they won’t take our old Mattress and boxspring. September 20th Called the Ashley Harbison phone number that is listed on Google, but instead of being sent to the Harbison location, I was routed to their Customer Service department. Rep wouldn’t transfer call, wanted to fix issue. Inquired about adding Haul Away on order when Base is delivered since sale rep failed to do so. Rep stated that Haul Away is only done when mattress is delivered, since mattress delivery is done, haul away is no longer an option. Inquired why they were delivered separately, was told that the “client” wanted separate delivery dates. No we did not. October 3rd Base Delivery. Super quick, no hassle, base works. Google Reviews Cap reviews, more details withheld due to this. Summary: * Mattress and Base delivered separately, when informed they wouldn’t * Was told three separate times Haul Away would be dealt with, no problem, only to have to call Haul Away services and be charged $500 in order to take our old box spring and mattress * Furious, Disappointed, need 3 more mattress, but will take business elsewhere.

I had such great experience at Ashley’s today! The prices were very reasonable and so many options to choose from. The sale agents Mike Paul and Lance, they were incredible and very nice. They went above and beyond to help me!!

Update: our couches we bought wouldn't fit, we discovered this before delivery went back picked new ones he updated everything with no problem and got it scheduled. Overpriced, cheap, and disgusted. You would think this bed is shiplap and real wood, nope! I've seen pre-engineer wood before but this is particule or vinyl cheap cork materials used. I was under the impression it would feel just like the wood in the store. Haven't been 24hrs and I'm not happy. The hidden fees even the mattress protector looks like something brought from Bogota or thrifty store. Unfortunately Whitash is going out of business and I was referred to Ashley's. Make sure you have sales person that will tell you the furniture and knows what he's selling. Ashley's located in Harbison SC. Mattress and Box Springs are over priced! The European Pillow tops I received same brand but sleeps better at Boxdrops or box.com are better and cheaper with real box springs and not some flimsy metal. Save your money by not shopping here!

ALICE!!!!!!!! Fine young woman was the sweetest, most helpful, and pleasant part of my visit. She made this whole experience worth it and was very patient and sharing pointers and experiences from previous customers.

JP (John Valenzuel) helped us down select to the right mattress. He was very informative and patient as we went back and forth testing different beds before deciding. He was friendly and enjoyable to talk with.

Edit: it's been 2 months and they still have not delivered the rest of the bed frame and told me it's going to be another month! I asked for a refund and they told me they will not do it under any circumstance! Bed frame came without headboard legs, hardware, and center slat support legs, reached out to Ashley and they tell me no matter which route I take it will take three business days to hear back from someone to confirm and my options are have it mailed to my house 7-10 business days later then call them to schedule assembly or reschedule another delivery of a new bed and have them pick up the incomplete bed frame when they have time to do so....the whole process was handled without any consideration for the situation they caused me to be in. DO NOT buy from Ashley if you don't want to be left dealing with their horrible customer service and have them put you in a horrible situation instead of Manning up for the mistakes they made and handling it appropriately! Customer should not be left in a bad situation because of the mistakes of this company and they don't seem to care at all.

I would like to recognize your salesman Brandon, for the service he provided to us Tuesday 8-27. He greeted us shortly after walking in your store, and after a few questions took us to your sofas. We found the one we wanted almost instantly. He explained all the features and the warranty and we took a few minutes to look around at several others, before going back to the one we first looked at. The delivery date was within one day later, so it was very convenient for us. In all, the whole process was quick and easy and Brandon was very helpful with all our questions. Wonderful experience. Salesperson greeted me right away and told me some things and allowed me to look. I found something I liked and brought my daughters back. Then told him I needed to bring my husband back later that evening. Great conversation very helpful. We purchased the furniture and he connected us with a delivery guy because they couldn’t deliver be because it was on sale.

Ashley was a great experience! We got the sofa on the Labor Day Sale for our son’s college apartment . Alice was outstanding as our sales representative. She was no pressure, very helpful and friendly.

I opened a credit card account on my previous shopping experience. The credit card was mailed to my old address. When it had been close to 30 days out I tried to call TD Credit Card company 5 times and was on hold for an hour each time waiting for customer service. I finally went to the store and an employee helped me. But I was there again on the phone for 2 hours. I finally received the correct credit card and was going there to purchase some furniture. When I was checking out the salesman had me signing on the computer without a printed receipt. I spotted some fees on the purchase and was told that while it was interest free for 60 months they were charging me basically the interest at the store. So I decided to change the way I was paying and only charge one item. It was a tempurpedic mattress. So again I had to sign on the computer without a printed receipt. So I asked for copies of the receipts. When I got home I spotted that the order I paid for I was charged 10 % delivery fee for each order being delivered on the same day. My total delivery fee was $900.00!! I was also told I was being given a mattress pad so that I would have a 90 return on the mattress. I was actually charged for the mattress pad, $140.00. So I went back and cancelled the mattress. While I was there I asked how thy figure out the delivery fee and was told it’s from the warehouse to my house. I believe there customer service is horrible, there 0% interest is bull, and there delivery fee is outrageous. I will never use the credit card, and I will never have them deliver.

My family has bought several items from Ashley. We've been satisfied with every purchase over the years. All of the staff are very helpful, but we've had an especially good relationship with a Lance, who is excellent.

Lance and Brandon are ABSOLUTELY THE BEST, for the best customer service and laughs ask for both or one of the too. I promise you'll never forget the experience. Go and see for yourself.

Edit: this edit does not apply to Alice, she’s been fantastic through this whole process. I came back to review the company. Our couch delivered without the chaise, and they said it would come today (Saturday). I understand things happen, but this was very disappointing after already having to wait several weeks on an almost $4k couch, and then being told a main piece wouldn’t deliver until Saturday. My fiancé and I both work long hours throughout the week, so we look forward to relaxing/sleeping in on Saturdays. We do love the couch, I just hoped for a little better experience after spending so much money.

Staff are extremely unprofessional. One staff member who looks like Mac from Its always sunny in philadelphia followed me into a small corner of the store near couches and got so close to my face that I thought he was going to kiss me that I had to keep stepping back until there was nowhere left to step back to. I practically sprinted away from him and went and spoke to their other staff, namely an older woman who sits at the front and another staff member who sat besider her and I explained what happened in case it was not obvious and told them to clearly keep him away. The staff laughed after watching him do this to me. I was ready to furnish my entire newly bought home with furniture from this store and this was how they treated me.

Went to buy a new couch, and our sales person was Chris from NY. He gave us room to look without any pressure. When it came time to purchase the one we picked up, it was an easier process and he worked with us to get everything done. It was a pleasure to deal with the staff, including Brandon that helped us get the pickup we wanted.

Shopping for furniture with my family is usually about as enjoyable as herding cats. My neighbor is one of those "cat ladies" so I have prior experience. John Paul at Ashley furniture somehow turned our chaotic quest into an enjoyable adventure. We visited the store so many times the staff should have started charging us rent. I do need to give some credit as John Paul greeted us with a smile every single time, like we were old friends meeting for croissants rather than indecisive customers returning for the tenth time to look at the same couple couches. Important to add we visited 7 other furniture stores but the top notch customer service from staff and selection options kept us returning. John Paul’s patience deserves a medal—or maybe sainthood. He listened to our ever-changing preferences with the calm of a meditation guru. No matter how absurd our requests, he had an answer and a piece of furniture to match. The best part..the staff’s sense of humor. Turned our furniture hunt into a comedy routine. Another salesmen clapped on our way out after final purchase. Unsure if it was from amazement my wife finally made a decision or because we made room for other customers. It’s not helpful when we sit on furniture at the store like we are in our own living room. By the time we finally made our purchase, we were almost sad to leave. John Paul made what should have been a stressful ordeal into one of the most entertaining shopping experiences of our time. If you’re in the market for furniture and a good laugh, do yourself a favor and go see John Paul at Ashley furniture store. Just be prepared to work with such a caring human who really does take the time to hear your wants and find a solution. Next time I'll save the trouble and this will be my first and last stop for furniture shopping.
