PLEASE READ THE CONDITIONS BEFORE YOU BUY FROM HERE. Bought furniture here about 3 weeks ago, during the visit I needed to go pick up my child from daycare so in a rush I decided to trust that the salesperson would disclose important information about my purchase which I believe is reasonable to expect, although ultimately it is up to me. Well they saw that I was in a rush and proceeded to “blah blah blah’d” me through the purchasing process. Well here we are today and I’m finding out information such as if you buy cash then once it’s delivered you cannot make a return whatsoever. Also, if you purchase through a buy not pay later that is offered in store, you’re obliged to pay more than 50% of the cost of the product even if you return it. Hard lesson learned and thousands of dollars worth of regret from a multi million dollar company that won’t even give you a week to see the product in your home before they keep your money forever
Buyers BEWARE! I want to start by saying Vanessa, the operations manager corrected the issue that I did had, and double checked my entire order once I brought my concerns to her so she is not apart of my bad review. I will also say Darius, who I initially met on my first day in the store was a pleasure to work with so he is also not the reason why I am giving a 1 star review. It is because of Calla - one of the store’s managers that I am giving this store a 1 star review and I gave them a 0 star review when I received a text asking me to rate my experience. Initially I came in the store for a living room set, that is where I met Darius. I shared that I would like to shop around more at other stores and he gave me his hours so I knew when to come back if I wanted his assistance. Two days later I came back but he had just left for the day and that is where I encountered Calla, one of their managers. She said that Darius would receive half of the credit for my sale and she would get the other half so I was okay with that. In total, I ordered 3 items for my living room and several items/pieces for my bedroom. The bottom line up front is Calla attempted to fast talk me and acted like a used car salesman. She blatantly LIED to me about not charging me for a furniture protection plan (that I did not want) and she “accidentally” charged me for a king sized mattress instead of a queen sized mattress. With the protection plan she initially stated I really want you to have this so I spoke to my manager and we are going to only charge you half of the amount ($250) then later she told me she’s going to give it to you for free and not to worry that I see it calculated in my total because it just has to be there. -oh and she whispered this like she wanted no one to hear -there was a coworker of hers sitting close to us and her manager a few steps away at the desk. Just know when I recalculated she definitely charged me for it ($499+ tax). What she did to compensate for it (I realized this and so did Vanessa the operations manager) she lowered the sales price on some items. All in all I was OVERCHARGED by $1,000+ tax ($500 for the King bed) and $500 for the furniture protection plan. When I called about the King mattress overcharge Calla changed the prices immediately (and seemed fake shocked). I thought it was an honest mistake but based on her other behavior I see that it was not. Thank you to Vanessa for being HONEST, fixing the other issue immediately, and listening to all of my concerns. Do yourself a favor and do not allow Calla to help you.

Had a great experience today with Josh! He was patient and very helpful with my Mother who’s older and stuck in the old days. He helped her with her loan process to make a purchase on the sectional she wanted. Now she’s smiling from ear to ear. Also a shoutout to Sherrell for helping out to make sure we got the delivery we needed. She’s the numbers come see her!

Where do I even start!!! First of, Greg is amazing!!! My husband and I have been shopping around all weekend for furniture foe our home with a max budget in mind. My husband and I are straight shooters, we love honest people who don't waste our time nor us them. Greg fit the bill and exceeded it. Greg was honest and kept his word on everything he said. When he felt we were unsure about a mattress, he called in an expert to help us narrow it down. We had our toddler with us whom was visibly restless. Greg was so patient and never made us feel rushed or that our toddler was hindering. Instead, he included toddler and my mother in the conversation. Greg may not know this but he helped one of our little dreams come true of owning a highend adjustable mattress that didn't cost the price of a car. Thank you so much, Greg! Get ready for your phone to go crazy because we are sending everyone who needs furniture to you.

Originally bought a couch from Ashley and it was delivered on June 1st and called on Monday June 3rd because the foot rest hung up. Also bought a new bed which broke after a couple weeks and when I called that in I inquired about the couch which they lost the order. Ashley has now sent the wrong part twice even after the repair man took multiple photos of the problem and told them which part was needed. Here it is July 27th and Ashley says the part will be delivered in 7 to 10 business days then call them to arrange service appointment. Ashley service socks big time and I am comptimeplating seeing a lawyer.

I have been relocated multiple times over the years and shame on me but I kept buying furniture from Ashley's. Service in store has always been good but never, and I mean not one time, have I EVER received my stuff in time or when promised. Most recently, and still waiting on it, we ordered a bed frame. Promised one date in the store, called to follow up and another date was given. Then received a call saying it's coming sooner and now today receive another call saying "not sure when it's coming but hopefully soon." Get it together Ashley Furniture!!!!

Hello Ashley Homestore! I want to share my experience I had today in your store on Forum Drive. I came to Ashley today looking to find a good mattress that would meet my needs as well budget. When I came into the store I was greeted by Darius, which was nice because it sets the tone for me as to how well things are going to work from here on out. I let Darius know what I was looking for and the budget I want to stay within. He understood my needs because he showed me and allow me to rest on them to experience the support and comfort the mattresses offered. His professionalism and knowledge about Ashley's products as well as his own experience has help me make an informed decision and invest in this purchase that I hope to enjoy for a very long time and also for it to validate Ashley's Homestore as a place that offers superior home furnishing and great customer service with every purchase. The Sandhill location are team players, while Greg cashed me out the store manager seemed to manage the store helping other customers to see Greg. It was my first time visiting this location, but not my last to bring others too.

I had a queen sealy mattress delivered from this store on Saturday 12/16/2023. I slept on the couch that night and didn’t sleep on the bed the first time until Sunday night 12/17/2023. I woke up covered and bed bug bites on Monday morning 12/18/2023. I immediately called customer care and spoke to Ashley. She stated there was nothing they could do because the mattresses are protected in boxes at the warehouse. Apparently this protection is not adequate because the bed bugs absolutely came from the “new” mattress. I now have to pay extermination cost. Buyer beware of purchasing furniture from this company.

The Ashley’s furniture store located in sand hills mall is a delight to shop during all times of the season. They have great customer service, their staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. One of their staff member Joshua Paulino made my experience so thrilling and demonstrated so much knowledge of their quality of furniture on all departments and made my experience so worthwhile. I’ve recommended this store to all my associates and work clients. Omg this place is great! We went in got our hopes up on a bed room set. My wife loved it we ran our credit for financing and the payments were not in our budget initially. I don’t normally do reviews. But I left Ashley Furniture today in tears. It all started back in Oct. 2022. Marcy took care of us and was very nice when we came in to buy our couch. We sat down and I told her several times that I wanted the wicker color couch. She even repeated it. Somehow between me signing in store and delivery (November 2022), it got turned in to another color. It was also filthy. I’ll admit I did not read about the not accepting furniture thing and figured I could just return it and I definitely think that needs to be disclosed each and every time there’s a sales transaction. Anyway, I went up to the store and Expressed my frustrations (because I was also lied to about delivery) with customer care as well as Trey. I verbally told him everything and he told me I would be able to STILL get the couch in wicker when it became available. In the meantime they would replace the dirty pieces. I remember telling him it was the wrong color. But it was not documented. I went in today because all this time I thought I was waiting for a couch but now they are saying they won’t honor the exchange because I signed upon delivery and they replaced dirty pieces. Much of my frustration is the fact that Marcy is saying she ordered it in the right color. She did not. There was a lot going on that day and she must’ve gotten mixed up. I have three children. I do not have time for cream couch. I’m also frustrated because Trey looked me in my eyes today knowing we discussed this but because it wasn’t typed in the notes, we are stuck with a 3K couch in a color I did not want. I wish I would have rechecked the sales agreement before leaving, but I didn’t. For me it’s about integrity. I have no reason to lie. I even still have screenshots in my phone WITH the date I ordered of the wicker couch because that’s what I thought I was getting. They are saying nothing can be done but some CAN be done about it, they just don’t want to. They can own up to their mistake of ordering in the wrong color from the beginning as I owned up to not rechecking the sales agreement. Mistakes happen. I get it. But not owning up to them is wrong.

Went to store in Irmo just to kill time waiting for the mall to open. Ashley homestore was open. Lance their sleep specialist was great, he even moved a chair across the store so I could see it with sofa I wanted. Went home and did some thinking about it. Did so research on line. Went in the village at Sandhills to check out bedroom suite I liked online and ended up purchasing all from Darius Taylor who is also awesome! Haven't gotten my new furniture yet but the purchasing part was awesome. Thank you Lance and Darius!

Darius Taylor made my furniture buying experience a great one. I originally was going to go with the furniture store next door but I decided to stop by Ashley’s to see what they had to offer. Man was that a great decision! Darius greeted my brother and I at the door with a warm welcome. I heard a lot of good things from Darius from reviews but mainly from my brother who Darius helped furnish his entire home. Darius didn’t rush me and allowed me to make a decision on something without trying to sell sell sell. He’s very knowledgeable, polite, and got me a great deal on my living room set! He even called me after the furniture was delivered to make sure I was taken care of. Talk about customer service! I had a problem with one of the pieces and wanted to exchanged because there was a mishap. Darius was the cause of it but helped me until it was resolved. 10/10 recommend asking for Darius when shopping for furniture in the Sandhills area.

I purchased a bedroom set and a dining room set from Ashley Furniture on the 28th of September 2022 for $7000. It was to be delivered Oct 15th. When they came they had everything except the left leg of the headboard. Customer Care was very nasty to me she told me to either have the movers put the furniture back on the truck or I would have to wait for the leg it had to be ordered. I told her the leg has to be in the warehouse can they just locate it and come back next weekend to install the bed. I was told no and that the leg would be mailed to me within 10 to 14 days. I did not get the leg until the end of November. I am a 64 year old lady I was sleeping on my mattress on the floor for all that time. I talked with a manager Mr. Dickey he offered me a frame but when he told the leg should be at my house within a week I refused the frame. He also told me for my inconvenience I would get $500 after the bed is put up. The bed was finally installed December 10th. When I inquired about the $500 nobody knew what I was talking about. I talked with someone in customer care and was told she saw nothing about $500 and offered me $260 for my trouble. I told her I would call her back. I called the Sandhill store Mr Dickey would not talk to me and neither would the head manager. I called back a few days later and they kept transferring my call to customer care. I was inconvenienced for 45 days. I paid Ashley furniture my hard earned cash money to be disrespected and ignored. If this is how Ashley Furniture treats their customers I will never shop in your stores again. That was the worst experience I have ever had. Constance Felder January 29, 2023

Staff at this store is extremely friendly and helpful. Just wanted to SPREAD AWARENESS on the company and their policies. I went to the store to order a sectional that was on backorder and while I was there I decided to order nightstands that I was planning to purchase online. They explained the benefits of purchasing products in store/in the show room, however shoppers need to be aware that the in store prices are MUCH more expensive than online. The nightstands I purchased were $179 online and $299 in store. ALWAYS check online and get a price match if you go in store. Also, if you are unsure about an item I would rather take the chance and order online because at least online you have 72 hours AFTER delivery to return an item online versus in store they have strict NO RETURN POLICY. Even though they don't state it they also DO NOT do exchanges. Be careful with the in store policies. Do not accept the delivery if you do not want your items and make sure your delivery driver brings the items to your preferred space. They say you are at the liberty of a 1-800 number if you order online and they can't help you if you do, but the fact that you can't return or exchange items has completely turned me away from shopping in store. I wish I would have ordered the nightstands online so I could return or even exchange them because they do not work for my space and If there is a next time.....I will take my chances online.

I walked into Ashley's to purchase a living room and dinette set. I got the greeting of day from a representative that was located near the entrance however for about approx 25 minutes of looking aimlessly at different merchandise, no Ashley's employee offered any assistance. Since they appeared to not want my business, I walked out, went to a different furniture store in the area. As soon as I walked through the doors, they treated me like they wanted my business and I purchased my furniture there. To me, Ashley's employees were so uncaring about my needs.

Salesman went above and beyond and didn’t make me feel forced on a right this min selection, he even went as far to ask me to come back with a color match to help with my color decision. After I decided I was instructed if after I received my ottoman if I still wasn’t comfortable with the choice send it back with the truck for the other color options! I usually do not like to leave bad reviews, but I have to come and voice our truth. We just closed on our home and because we were promised discounts, etc... we chose to furnish our home with Ashley's furniture. We originally received great customer service, however after we made the purchase this is when the nightmare of run arounds started. We were told the sectional we loved wouldnt be available until October 7th, so we chose another item because we didnt want to wait a whole month to receive something to sit on. We were told our sectional, 2 beds, 2 dressers, and 2 mattresses would be delivered within days. The morning of the delivery, we were told that one of the beds would not be available, until the week after. The delivery drivers showed up and all they brought us was 1 bed, we were missing everything else. Its like they were backwards. We called the store and were assured we would recieve the items the same day on a different truck. Then we were told that we would receive all the items next week. Tuesday of the following week came, and we received a call the morning of, saying the headboard didnt pass inspection, but everything else would be delivered. The delivery drivers showed up and all they had were the sectional, everything else was missing. I called customer service and was assured the manager would call me back. I never heard from him. I reached out to our sales agent and was told the manager would reach out to me, I never heard from him. I waited a few hours and called again, and spoke with the manager. Throughout the entire conversation, the items that were ordered were continually mixed up, saying I didnt receive the sectional (which I did), and forgetting that we had 2 dressers ordered and not just 1. We were told the items would be here on the 7th of October. I asked for the cancellation policy and was told I would need to speak with the sales agent who assisted us. So I reached out to the sales agent again. I was told that the manager would give me a call in the morning. I never received the call. This is ridiculous. If I wanted to wait a month to get furniture, I could have gotten the initial sofa that I loved. I could have went elsewhere to make sure my children had a secured bed, but instead I am left with no answers. I understand that delays happen, I understand things are backed up due to covid, I understand that people make mistakes and get busy,but its the back and forth, run around, lack of communication, lack of customer service, and constant confusion that has made me never want to purchase from them again.
We just want to give a shout out Alphonso in the Village of Sandhills! He was the ultimate professional when it came to customer service. He was always available to my overseas husband and I in assisting us with out new home purchases (even after hours)!! This type of knowledgeable and friendly customer service made our muliple purchases very simple. We will definitely be back and we recommend you going to Al at Ashley's as well!

The salesman completely lied to me about my delivery date and when i called the day before my promised delivery date they told me that they had no record of any deliveries for me and that the items werent in stock. Meanwhile they took thousands of dollars from me and i had to wait a week to be refunded. Never again. Dont get scammed by them.

Customer service was a pleasant experience! The delivery free of $599 for my items was a shocker to say the least. Talked to 3-additional furniture company, and they charge $100 -$200 for delivery. Investigating the situation.
Our sales person Casey was not pushy (which I hate) but he allowed us to try several mattresses for comforts sake to help make our decision. We ended up purchasing over the budget we set but we couldn't be happier! He was able to get us a great deal and a couple of nice perks which made us nore than comfortable with going over our budget. Casey was knowledgeable, patient and personable (Did I mention he wasn't pushy?) We felt welcome and attended to. I had great service from Ashley Furniture itself. However, "Diamond Care Plus" AKA "Platinum Warranty Services" AKA "Risk Assurance Partners" - these are Ashley Furniture's warranty services companies, but they definitely aren't fulfilling any services. I got the same runaround I see other reviews mentioning on Risk Assurance Partners, LLC's Google reviews. Do NOT waste your money on this extra "protection." I filed a claim for the first time on a couch I purchased two and a half years ago, which is well within the parameters outlined in the contract, just to receive rude customer service the three times I had to call them, which ultimately ended with them denying my claim, citing a reason that I specifically told them was not the case. I urge Ashley Furniture to use someone else for their warranty services.

Horrible customer service. Inability to handle delivery issues at a local level. Broken $5000 leather sofa since delivery in March! The customer service line promises call backs and it doesn’t happen. Was told the parts would be shipped to my house (nobody even looked at the couch to see what is wrong), parts didn’t arrive by May. Was told it would be fixed in June. (The sofa was left conveniently left unplugged after a struggle to get the piece to work at delivery). No calls, no emails. I called in July and was told “hopefully” by the end of August. I was told I would get a call back by 7/13/2022 from customer service to see if the broken piece could be exchanged rather than waiting for parts…no call back again. We are stuck w a reclining piece that won’t close since March!! 3rd sectional in 6 months because they all were broken or falling apart. I have begged for my money back but keep being told no. Taking to social media trying to get someone to help us!!

If I could give zero stars for customer 'Don't Care' service I would!!! Ashley really need to go back and retrain some of their employees and teach them how to speak to people over the phone. I called several (4) times to see why I still had not received my refund in the mail since May. It is now July 5th and again for the 4th time I was told that they Finally canceled the order. Same thing that was told to me the last 3 times i called. I spoke to someone name Lashonda, asking her for corporate because I wanted to speak to someone else besides her. She was telling me the same bs they told me before and she made up every excuse to not give the to me. With her nasty attitude!! I would never purchase from Ashley ever. I just want my money back. If I don't receive my refund by the end of this week from them, I will be returning to the store and I will be filing a claim against them. I'm sure that's the reason we deal with rooms to go and Whit Ash furniture.. Im done with the ghetto customer service. I just had to hang up on her ghetto behind to keep from cursing her out. They get zero stars from me!!!!
Our family stopped in to get ideas for indoor and outdoor furniture. We loved having an opportunity to walk around without feeling pressured to make a purchase. Bernard gave us the space we needed to shop and was able to price match. We will definitely be back soon.

We purchased our sectional, automan an end table and most recently a sleeper sofa. Although we haven't received our sleeper sofa yet, we've had our sectional for 8 months and we love it. It's so comfortable and is holding up to our two kids and family movie nights. We're sure we'll love the sleeper sofa just as much. The Sandhills staff are great, very friendly and they worked with us to make sure we were happy with our purchase. Definitely will be making future furniture purchases from them.

I went to the Ashley furniture store on Clemson Rd., Sandhill mall and I was greeted by one of the customer rep Alphonzo Millsapp from the first day he greeted me with such pleasantries. He has good quality in customer service care. He explained things in such details and was able to answer any questions and concerns that I had. To me it was never about the money with him but more about the care of the customer and that’s what I like about him. He put me at such ease that I returned and purchase my bed and mattress. He gave me such a good feel that I’m coming back for more and telling a few good friends. In my book he deserve 5 stars. We went in during the memorial day sale to look for a new couch. Peggy helped us and she was amazing. These days you get sales people who just dont care or really know much about the product but instead just care about the money they will make and will sell you anything, Peggy was the complete opposite. We had some concerns regarding the couch because we saw a couch for a lot less next store but Peggy showed us everything about the couch from the reversible couch cushions to the cushion foam to the spring in the couch to ensure us that this couch will last us a very long time, its great quality and durability. We are so happy with the purchase and would definitely be back to work with Peggy.

Absolutely awful. Do not work with you at all, I had chairs and a dresser delivered that are a different color than was described to me and the dresser drawers barely slide open and closed. Wanted to get different chairs but was denied because I was out of town when they delivered 4 months after ordering and after delivery, they won’t take them back. Everything is overpriced and the quality is awful. Don’t do it. 0 out if 5 stars.

We bought furniture for 3 rooms about 18 months ago. The top of the dining table began peeling, we filed a claim with the warranty company and it was rejected claiming this was "normal wear & tear". Ashley said they couldn't do anything either. We will NEVER purchase furniture again from a company that does not respect their customers.

We had the most pleasant experience at the Sandhills store in Columbia SC. We were warmly greeted by a number of staff members when we walked in the store the other evening. Peggy ended up helping us that evening and then upon returning the next day, we were warmly greeted by Laura, who remembered us from the evening before. She was soooooo friendly and joked with my husband continuing from the conversation the night before. Was really nice to have her remember us! Laura went to get Peggy for us. Both returning to explain that Laura would be helping us today and would take great care of us! And she did!!! She was amazing! Like, TRULY helpful. Even took the time to draw up the floor plan to our new house living room and measure so we could figure out where things would fit and where they wouldn’t. She was also very thorough in explaining the warranty and options. She even spoke to my daughter (while I was face timing her) about her recent Ashley purchase and the issue she was having with the store there in TX. It is seldom that you get anyone that pleasant and so willing to help. Sure made me feel even more comfortable with our purchase. She was THE BEST!!!!! And actually, everyone that we encountered at that store was extremely kind and should be commended!!! We will, without a doubt, recommend to friends and family and will be returning there for any further purchases! WAY TO GO staff at the Sandhills store! You guys ROCK!!! Oh… and I almost forgot to mention how much we LOVE the couch and love seat we chose. We had been to 5 different furniture stores in the past 24hrs and looked at a lot of couches. Nice furniture, but expensive. Sales lady was nice and helpful. She showed me 2 pieces that I could buy off the floor. I just didn't like them. I wasn't able to make a purchase due to the price, delivery fee, and delivery date. If anyone has money to burn on expensive furniture, then Ashley is the store for you.

I initially had a grand experience with 2 of the managers associated at the Sandhill location in Columbia SC, Bryson and Scott back in August of 2021. The biggest disappointment became four months later in December of 2021 when half of the merchandise became available for delivery, but because of my address being out of state, which was communicated seconds after I entered into the Sandhills store, I can no longer have it delivered because of it being out of its region. My address is listed on my contract along with a $599.99 Ashley Dash delivery fee. I’ve been patient all this time and now I’m back to square one b/c I was misinformed from the onset. The cherry on top of the story is this: in order for me to get the merchandise delivered to my empty new house, Tre made some phone calls to his manager and unfortunately the result is I’d have to physically drive to SC from Georgia and physically sign a new contract with only the items that’s ready to be shipped, canceling the rest that’s still waiting to get to their warehouse. This is to keep my place in line with the particular store in Columbia and to secure its original delivery date. If I go to an Ashley Homestore near my house in Georgia to sign said document, I’d risk having to start all the way over from scratch as if I just purchased. Either way, both unbelievable options are filled with impossible inconvenience.

My husband and I went in to purchase reclining sofas on sale. We were greeted by Lauren “The Sneak” so she thought! She took us to them and we wanted two. She heard me tell her and my husband we didn’t need the protection plan of $440-$499 not sure. So I walk off and come back and my husband said “She got them lower, for $1200 instead of $1400 a piece”. My mind is spinning and thinking impossible, ok i’ll bite, how? She jumps n and says I just added the protection in order for him to get them at $1200. First of all she heard me say we didnt need that and he agreed, second ,I know she gets commission for the extra product she sells, third , she didn’t know I knew that $1200 was cyber Monday price she gave us Early…. I do my research! Last but not least…she flat out lied and thought she was getting away with it! No ma’am and Ms. Pam signed off on the nonsense. I saw the chit chat between the two! Buyers be ware… look on line for prices when they say they can lower the price to accommodate the insurance. Honesty is key to us returning!
My experience with Ashley Homestore when looking for a mattress, was definitely a 10 out of 10 in all areas. The Sales Rep, Tre, was friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to spend as much time as was necessary explaining the pluses and minuses of various beds, frames, and support.
I had the worst experience here with them ! I got the confmation Tex and it had two different address on it. I called maybe 8 times to try and make the changes to tell them they had the wrong address each time it was let me put you on a hold a brief hold only to tell me nothing, the driver actually got in touch with me to fix the problem but Ashley’s furniture in Sandhills was ZERO HELP. Then told me to call back Saturday to reschedule my delivery as if it wasn’t there error.
Worst place to buy furniture from. I purchased a bed room set that had stains in the head board and a chip in the footboard. The delivery drivers lied to me and said that if I accept the furniture that someone will give me a call about a replacement. I received no call so when I called to speak to a supervisor they told me there wasn’t anything that they could do because if I wasn’t satisfied with the furniture I should’ve declined it and that the delivery drivers shouldn’t have told me that because they don’t work for them and that they are a 3rd party company. I then went above her head and got the approval to exchange it. Everytime they showed up with a new bed it was damaged. And twice they never showed up for a scheduled delivery. Today (their 6th delivery) they finally delivered me a bed that I was satisfied with and then the delivery drivers tell me that the bed that I currently have is not damaged (which I submitted pictures to even have the exchange approved) and that if they were to give me the new bed then they will charge me 300-400$. At this point I’m tired of dealing with these people and them wasting my time. I just want my money back. I purchased this furniture in June and it is now November and still haven’t gotten the “showroom floor approved furniture” that I paid for!!! Update… 9 months later… still no replacement…

I bought a dresser and night stand from these people. I told the sales lady, I'd call back to buy the bed. I have called at least 5 times over the past 4 months. When I tell what I want, I was told each time that they'd get back to me, but never did. I searched on the internet. I learned the bedroom furniture was discontinued by the maker. All they had to do was tell me this. I' would have selected another type of bed or bought a entire set and sold what I bought previously. Now, I'm going to Rooms To Go and will buy a new set from them.

I had a great experience on yesterday from beginning to end with my salesperson, Shaun Appler. He assisted me in purchasing my new sectional and king sized bed all while giving me the best deals possible. I highly recommend buying from him anytime you’re in store!

I am so glad I had to actually CALL the Ashley store instead of ordering online! Peggy was so helpful and went above and beyond to make sure I was satified with my purchase! Although I have to wait a couple of weeks for my in home delivery and set up, she has kept me up to date and informed every step of the way! I had better customer service from her over the phone than I have ever had in ANY store! She even found a discount that was not offered online! If you are planning to place an order online, do yourself a favor and just pick up the phone! It was well worth it for me!
Me and my family worked with Peggy and she was great. We showed up at the store pretty close to closing and she still patiently went through all of our orders and helped us pick out furniture that really fit our family and worked well for us. As well as that she communicated very well with us the entire time so we always knew when our furniture would be delivered. Would highly recommend her if you’re going into the store.

One star and that is too much! Paid in advanced 3K+ 1) I've been waiting for furniture for more than 8 months 2) If it wasn't tragic enough our sale guy died of Covid, we then became forgotten customers. 3) Miscommunication; no one knew about our furniture. 4) Ashley managment sent us to the distribution center drove 90 min+ for (3) pieces with our trailer just to pick up (1) 4) New great rep, 2 managers fired and now compensation revoked by new management 5) still waiting...
Waited for delivery of item today — item never was delivered. Poor customer service regarding letting me know delivery was rescheduled. Had to call them for status. I am extremely upset with this whole process.
I had the best service ever from Aly at Ashley HomeStore in Columbia SC located on 230 Forum Drive . She went above and beyond to make sure I had the right furniture for the space. She is very knowledgeable and has an amazing taste and style. My lake house looks amazing thanks to Aly 🥰 I’m so grateful !!! Shaun was magnificent. He was social and very friendly. Ny niece was able to keep a good conversation and we talked about a lot of experiences we have had. He also showed us a few pieces we might like. It was an amazing experience from him and I'd like to thank him for his time.

I went to Ashley HomeStore two weeks ago to buy a king sized bed. I looked at merchandise online before so I had an idea of what I wanted. Tre Dickey greeted me and pointed me right to the bed I was interested in. I told him about all the features I was interested in then he showed me another bed that I ended up liking more! He wasn't pushy and let me browse at my own pace. I bought the bed that he showed me on the spot and was very excited! I understand furniture is back ordered these days but I was still disappointed that delivery wouldn't be for "eight to sixteen weeks....or more". I figured this would be the timeframe just about anywhere. When I got home, I started reading Google and Yelp reviews about people waiting months and/or never getting their furniture so I started getting worried. The next day, I called Haverty's and was told they had a king bed that would be on the truck and delivered next week. I ended up cancelling my Ashley order and bought the bed from Haverty's. I am very appreciative to be fully refunded, as it was within three days. I felt horrible cancelling because Tre was so helpful and a pleasure to work with!!! It's not his fault that it couldn't be delivered within a reasonable window, unfortunately.
Aly was the best salesperson I’ve ever encountered. She works at the Ashley Homestore in the Sandhills mall. Very nice and courteous. She followed through all the way through delivery. Ask for her by name.
I came in kind of last minute to purchase a living room set and dining table for my new room. They have more of traditional type of furniture. The two stars is because some of their staff seem to be selective with who they choose to help. I wish I could remember the woman’s name but she greeted me but I was telling her what I was looking for hoping she would point me in the right direction but she just told me to look around and come back to her when I found something. So she didn’t want to assist but wanted the commission. I had my credit card ready to purchase that day but I just left for one I didn’t see anything that I wanted and I left judged as if she wasn’t willing to help because “I didn’t look like I would purchase anything anyway”.

This review is only off of my experience with Peggy from Ashley's in Sandhill Columbia sc. OMG is all I can say. From the moment we walked in the store Peggy was more like a friend than anything. She was so easy to work with, knowledgeable, and willing to help. Although I don't have my furniture right now, it's been a wait due to the pandemic. Peggy did however inform me that it may be a wait. But every 2 weeks as promised she's not only texted me about the order I purchased in store with her, but also another order she knew nothing about. She's sent me updates on both orders. What makes it so personable is she'll send a text to say hello, and update me. I dont mind waiting, to be honest its because its so hard to receive EXCELLENT service nowadays. And I know if its was in her power I would have had my furniture the same day. Peggy I hope you read this THANK YOU!!!! Your kindness hasn't gone unnoticed, I'm so glad you helped us. You're definitely one of the reasons I'll continue to visit the store and buy with Ashley's!!!
After making several trips to both locations over a two week period and looking at MULTIPLE pieces of furniture for our new home, we were finally ready to pull the trigger. While Sheri was ultimately the associate we ended up purchasing from this time, every associate we came in contact with (Sheri, Ed, Skye) was extremely helpful; never pressuring us into buying. In fact, the first few times we visited the store, we specifically told them we weren't ready to purchase and they were still just as friendly and helpful regardless of the sale. Sheri, however, was fantastic and won our business this go round! When all was said and done, we purchased a couch, loveseat, chair and a half, ottoman, coffee table, 2 end tables, 4 bar stools, 2 accent chairs, a metal bed frame, a chest and dresser with mirror for our living room, kitchen and bedroom. Woofta... We also previously purchased our sleigh bed, leather sectional (thank you, Ed) and our formal dining room table and chairs from Ashley and been very happy each time. We've only ever had one issue with the quality of the furniture and while it wasn't quite satisfactorily handled, due to their old extended warranty carrier, we still have the table and I still love it! We've also been fortunate enough to never have issues with delivery and/or set up. All in all, our experiences with Ashley and their team have generally been pleasant and we've always been pleased with our purchases. Looking forward to our new arrivals; which will begin arriving up next week. Fingers crossed our experience continues to be a positive one! Thank you Ashley Furniture, and thanks again to Sheri for being so awesome!!!

Ashley Furniture does not have good customer service after the sale. My 73 year old friend bought a Sealy adjustable bed base from Ashley. For some reason, the base worked for a few days and quit functioning. We called Ashley Furniture and they before we could explain our problem, they gave us the telephone for Sealy. We contacted Sealy. The motor needed to be replaced. After 2 repairs (so far) the Bed base is useless. We were assured that since the adjustable base does not work, we would get a new base. 5 days later I called Sealy and they told us that the base will not be replaced and that we should call Ashley Furniture. When I called Ashley they told me that only Sealy could help us. After being on eternal hold again with Ashley Furniture, the person I was talking to said we had a bad connection. I drove to Ashley Furniture showroom and the manager told me that only customer service could help be because no store manager has the authority to do a return even on damaged merchandise. Just today, I've been on hold for over 2 hours. I called Sealy and was told that they only deal with the public if a furniture store goes out of business. Otherwise, I need to call Ashley Furniture. I'm very frustrated, so I'm making good use of my time doing reviews on this situation While I wait on hold.Bottom Line.....beware of Ashley Furniture and Sealy.

The best part, besides the reeling you in to buy, was the delivery team. They were excellent. The delay was uncalled for, understand the pandemic, my furniture was not even in the warehouse. After talking to customer service and wanting to cancel, all of a sudden my furniture was ready to be delivered. I was told if I didn't cancel I would be compensated. Furniture came, however one piece was broken and the reschedule for the following week. The same furniture that wasn't in any warehouse. I asked about the compensation and was told I had to wait until after my furniture was completely delivered. Well, it was, I called them and the had the nerves to offer me $120 gift card back to their store. Are they serious?

I ordered chairs in November 2020. I expected there'd be a delay in delivery due to Covid. It's now mid March 2021 and I've been getting the run around since Mid February. Lots of dishonest people at customer service 😟😐😡. Their story changes frequently!! Beware of this company!!
The WORST store to purchase from. Salesperson will tell you whatever to sell you junk, sell you a warranty that covers nothing, tells you there's a coating on the cushions to prevent stains(lies,) and you'll have to fight for a year to get anything done, but will still be screwed. Ask me how I know.
bought a king size bed it was delivered and set up. delivery man called me into the room and said mam the wrong support frame was delivered for this bed. he had installed it. there are 3 slats the legs don't touch the floor. this frame should support mattress without foundation. he called store they agreed ordered new support. 2 weeks later shipment arrived. 6 legs nothing else. called store the lady said it could be the correct foundation. finally got it through to her that it is not. asked to speak to a manager they would not come to the phone. she had to represent ashley. I have an expensive bed and mattress that I have not been able to use. Is this Ashley furniture stores business policy to you bought it live with it! This is just wrong!!!!
Buyer beware!!! Spent thousands on a bed and the guys delivering the furniture didn’t even know how to put it together. I had to basically show and help them. They also sold us pillows for $200 that don’t even fit a king size bed. I’ve been through customer service and also to the store and was basically told I was lying by our salesman Eric. Can’t seem to get anyone in management to refund the pillows. I would also rate at 0 stars if I could. Would never do business with them again. I wish I could find out who the independent owner was so I could let them know how bad their company is but they probably already know with the way they practice business.
We didn’t purchase anything during our initial visit but we will absolutely be visiting Ashley’s again and it’s all because of Tre. He has a great knowledge of the products in the store, and did a great job of explaining the furniture warranty. Employees like Tre = returning customers. Keep up the excellent work, can’t wait to work with you again.
They sent a text with delivery date and a no show and contacted store , complete run around, then received a text say we do not know why we received a delivery notice but they are not showing a delivery date at all, and we discarded the old furniture expecting the new and now we are sitting on the floor, customer service is a joke, poor - poor service!!!!!? The WORST store to buy furniture from. PERIOD! My couch fell apart within a few months. We tried over and over to get it fixed and nothing until almost a year later. Now more is broken and NOBODY wants to return calls from the store to fix this situation! 3 weeks now this time (2/8/2020) and counting.

I have been having a difficult time ordering an item from the website. The store manager (New from up North...failed to get his name) worked with me and I was able to order.
Worked with Bryson and was picking furniture for our new house and was planning on spending a great deal of money after three closing. However as we were walking out the door he said to his co-workers "you gotta be kidding me." We were in disbelief because we explained what our intent was from the beginning but apparently he wasn't listening. So we decided that with his attitude we won't be doing business with him or that store. If that wasn't unprofessional I don't know what is, but we definitely won't be wasting any more of his time. He really messed up a sweet deal not to mention his comissioned😞😠😠😠😠
I ordered a bedroom suit earlier this month and was assured it would be here by now this is the second time my delivery had an issue the first was it was damaged and no one called I had to call after being home all day waiting I was told to come pick out something else which I did that same day this time she had no particular reason why my order was held up I'm 9months pregnant and need my bed this is ridiculous when it was promised.
When delivering our couch, they dropped it on our wall, leaving two holes. The men who delivered it didn't report the damage at the time, and now Ashley Furniture is refusing to fix it. Do not buy your furniture here, it's not worth the headache.

BUYER BEWARE I ordered over $4,000 worth of furniture in early June of 2020. It is now 10/28/2020 and I have missed four work days and still do not have all of my furniture. 1st delivery: They delivered two end tables, a coffee table, a box spring and a TV stand. The TV stand door did not close, the delivery driver/assembler did not know how to fix it and did not speak English. I was able to fix the product on the spot and signed for it. They broke off a piece of molding on my floor in my bedroom delivering the nightstands. I said there was no damage because it was minimal. 2nd delivery: My sectional was being delivered. The chase lounge side does not directly line up with the other section of the couch but since it had been 5 months without a couch I signed for it. However, the Right arm facing side of the couch had a sharp piece sticking through the back ripping the fabric and was unsafe for my toddler and dog. I had no choice but to send it back with the delivery driver. I was left for weeks with half of a sectional (spoiler, I still do not have this part of my couch). 3rd delivery: The right arm facing section of my couch was redelivered. This time the backing on the couch was torn off and floating. I could not sign for this couch. 4th delivery and 4th day off work for furniture delivery: The delivery was scheduled for 10:30 to 1:30. At 12:30, I get a call from the delivery service that the team called out from work this morning and they would not be able to deliver. The woman on the phone said she was not able to tell me they were not coming until three hours into my scheduled time. 5th deliver? Will this ever happen? Unsure. I have been in communication with Sam Harrigan the Retail Experience Manager for the Forum Drive store as well as Samantha Blum the Senior Manager for the area and she is also the manager that handles reviews@shopashley.com. NEITHER have offered compensation or have given me any insurance that my furniture will arrive. The furniture is cheaply made and the delivery service is inept and does not care about damaging your cheap furniture or your home. They do not value your time or your money at this place. If you are reading these negative reviews and thinking their customer service can help you through anything, you are wrong. They are obviously underpaid and not passionate about their job. They are obviously hiring contractors and delivery drivers that are low cost and not good at what they do. This is a terrible business model all together. You've been warned.
BUYER BEWAREI ordered over $4,000 worth of furniture in early June of 2020. It is now 10/28/2020 and I have missed four work days and still do not have all of my furniture.1st delivery: They delivered two end tables, a coffee table, a box spring and a TV stand. The TV stand door did not close, the delivery driver/assembler did not know how to fix it and did not speak English. I was able to fix the product on the spot and signed for it. They broke off a piece of molding on my floor in my bedroom delivering the nightstands. I said there was no damage because it was minimal.2nd delivery: My sectional was being delivered. The chase lounge side does not directly line up with the other section of the couch but since it had been 5 months without a couch I signed for it. However, the Right arm facing side of the couch had a sharp piece sticking through the back ripping the fabric and was unsafe for my toddler and dog. I had no choice but to send it back with the delivery driver. I was left for weeks with half of a sectional (spoiler, I still do not have this part of my couch).3rd delivery: The right arm facing section of my couch was redelivered. This time the backing on the couch was torn off and floating. I could not sign for this couch. 4th delivery and 4th day off work for furniture delivery: The delivery was scheduled for 10:30 to 1:30. At 12:30, I get a call from the delivery service that the team called out from work this morning and they would not be able to deliver. The woman on the phone said she was not able to tell me they were not coming until three hours into my scheduled time. 5th deliver? Will this ever happen? Unsure. I have been in communication with Sam Harrigan the Retail Experience Manager for the Forum Drive store as well as Samantha Blum the Senior Manager for the area and she is also the manager that handles reviews@shopashley.com. NEITHER have offered compensation or have given me any insurance that my furniture will arrive. The furniture is cheaply made and the delivery service is inept and does not care about damaging your cheap furniture or your home. They do not value your time or your money at this place. If you are reading these negative reviews and thinking their customer service can help you through anything, you are wrong. They are obviously underpaid and not passionate about their job. They are obviously hiring contractors and delivery drivers that are low cost and not good at what they do. This is a terrible business model all together. You've been warned.

The representative that assisted me was very new and initially gave some misinformation. However, they were able to honor what she originally said which was wonderful. Turned out to be a great experience.
I went to this store three years ago with my friend to help her pick out furniture for her new home. We were not greeted or asked if we needed help so after 15 minutes of being ignored we left. It saddens me to say that the customer service has not changed in three years. I attempted to give this location a second chance in September this year for my new home with my mother & the same thing occurred. All of the employees were doing something but they clearly saw us walk in & said nothing, not a I’ll be with you in a minute or anything. We were ignored completely so we left. Basically go next door to Value City, the customer service is much better & they care about having your business.
If it were possible to rate zero stars I absolutely would!! I went into the store and bought a mattress, because it was one of their anniversary additions that came in a box I was able to take it home with me that day. Honest mistake the associate gave me a full size mattress but I had bought a queen mattress. I didn’t realize the mistake until I got home and opened and unraveled the entire thing. When I called the store, the team attempted to help by offering one of the other associates to drive the 30 minutes to my house and pick up the wrong size mattress and bring the right size mattress. However, they discovered they didn’t have the queen size mattress in stock so they set me up with a delivery of the right mattress but still had no idea how to get back the wrong size mattress as it will no longer fit in my car. The next closest delivery date they could give me was two weeks out however if I went through the online distribution center I could’ve gotten the exact mattress I wanted the very next day when I called multiple times it was very difficult to get a hold of somebody nobody seem that interested in trying to help. I told multiple customer care reps that I wanted a refund and refused to do further business with their company none of them seemed to care... I was supposed to get a call back within three business days from the team that was supposed to come pick up the wrong size mattress, that phone call never came... I figured due to Covid I would give them the benefit of the doubt and award them a couple of extra days before I called them back at which point I discovered the customer care rep that I had spoken to who was supposed to cancel my delivery and process my refund never put in the order so I was still scheduled to get the delivery of the mattress! The other customer care rep had to email her manager to figure out what steps to take to be able to process my refund but she too did not cancel this delivery that I had now asked twice to have canceled. The customer service is atrocious nobody cares about losing a customer their prices may be good but it is not worth this!!!!

Bought expensive farm table. When table was delivered two corners were not completely stained. Call warranty company and was told they would send new table or take off $150.00. So I thought I could touch up corners and they take off money. They did not take off the money and a month or so later the stain on top of table started coming off. Now they refuse to fix because I did not say anything when it was delivered. Makes no sense because the top was not doing that when it was delivered. I called the store and was told they would take off a $150.00 for a $1200.00 table. Well I got a card in the mail for $150.00 to spend in store after telling them would never buy anything else in their store.
We have been waiting 2mos for our living room set. They gave us a date and never showed up. Now waiting on my refund. Don't do business with Sheri Williamson at the Sandhill store.#221
My experience with Ashley home store was horrible. My delivery came with half my furniture and I was not notified that my furniture was not coming. The delivery guys came with no booties and no mask and this was normal because this is how they all came. Then they unloaded my furniture in the middle of the street out there just sitting on whatever. Customer service was contacted and seem to be very helpful but informed us they could not do anything until all was delivered. 4 deliveries and 1 month later we received all of the furniture. We contacted customer service and they offered us $70 for our troubles. I told them that was unacceptable. I will never do business with them again. I took time of my job for their screw ups and there were no apologies.

I tried to delay the bedframe and table to be delivered at the time the mattress and chairs are to be delivered. I was told we could reschedule but there was no guarantee that the table and frame would be available on the rescheduled date. Unbelievable. Basically I was given a take it or leave solution to receive my products or incurr a 10% cancelation fee if I wanted a refund. My salesperson was very friendly and helpful during the sale which I paid in full to get my items. I understand the salesperson do not control the customer deterring policy Ashley has in place relating to delivery and set up Of your products. Our customer service from our sales woman was fantastic! Our delivery crew was professional and fast! We were however given 3 separate delivery dates, waited almost 3 months and promised a "compensation" we never received. I am sure now that we finally have a couch that will no longer be in the works. I was only patient as long as I was to protect the sales woman's commission during the pandemic. Will not be looking in the store again.

I returned from a 8 month deployment on May 24, 2020. I purchase a sectional, Queen mattress and box spring on May 25, 2020. My items were on back order which I was advised I wouldn’t be getting them until June 24, 2020. I received a call from Ashley Funiture the day before my scheduled delivery for June 24, 2020 stating that my items are still out of stock and will not be ready for delivery until July 24, 2020. Keep in mind I’ve already have been sleeping on the floor since I’ve return from my deployment. I remained patient until my new delivery date came around. July 24, 2020 approached and my items were delivered. I looked over my items and noticed that my box spring was damaged. I contacted the customer service department on July 27, 2020 and provided the rep with my info to pull up my order. She stated she couldn’t find it because I purchased in store and that they can only pull up online orders. I waited until the store opened to contact them directly. I spoke with a young lady that advised me that my box spring couldn’t be returned due to Covid and that she can offer me a $20 gift card. I stated to her that on the Ashley Funiture website that it doesn’t say anything about not being able to return items due to Covid in fact it said that you have 72hrs from the date of your delivery to report any damages on mattress/box springs. The $20 gift card was slap in the face being that I’ve been sleeping on my floor for over month and had to wait even longer due to my items still being out of stock. I told the young lady that I wouldn’t be accepting the gift card and could I speak with my salesman Bryson. She stated that Bryson wasn’t there at the moment and she would let him know that I called. I waited all day and didn’t receive a call back. Once I got off work at my Air Force base in Sumter, Sc I had to drive a hour to Ashley Funiture to track down Bryson. When I got to the store I requested to speak with Bryson and I asked him did he receive the message about my damaged box spring. He had know idea what I was talking about and stated that he wasn’t even at work today and pointed at his civilian clothes that he had on. I explained to him what the young lady told me about not being able to exchange my box spring due to Covid . He was like that isn’t true and that I can exchange it. He pulled up my info and advised me he would call me no later than Wednesday July 29, 2020 once he got approval to exchange my mattress. I havnt heard from Bryson since. I called the store back again on Aug 3, 2020 and a lady name Stephanie stated that Bryson was busy and that he will give me a call back. I told her the last rep said the exact same thing and I didn’t receive a call back. Then she decided to ask me for my info to pull up items. She hadn’t asked me about any contact info so that Bryson could contact me back until after the fact when I told her how I didn’t receive a call back last time due to the lack of communication. She said that she would send Bryson a email to contact me. Today is Aug 5, 2020 and I have yet to hear back from Bryson and I refuse to make another hour drive just to continue to get the run around. The lack of communication and poor customer service is unacceptable and I will see to it to let all my Air Force coworkers, friends and family know about my experience with Ashley Funiture on 230 Forum Drive Columbia, Sc. I’ve been patient for months and not once have I asked for a refund. I just want my damaged box spring replaced. If this issued doesn’t get resolved in a timely manner I will continue to escalate it as far as I can go. From the reviews it looks like I’m not the only one that’s having this issue. No worries I’ve tagged Ashley Funiture and BBB on every social media platform. BBB Complaint filed as of today 8/5/20.
If I could give zero stars that's exactly what I would give them! I bought thousands of dollars worth of furniture from them and most of it all came damage and unusable, contact customer service they replaced some of the furniture but I have a coffee table sitting in the corner collecting dust become it's all busted up and they told me back in April they would work on it and I still haven't heard back from them, calling or emailing doesn't do you a bit of good!! I would never buy another piece of furniture from Ashley's even is someone else offered to pay for it!!!!!!

Terrible quality and even worse customer service. The sofa that I purchased did not even come close to resembling what I saw in store. The cushions were lumpy, misshapen, uncomfortable, and made with inferior quality materials. I checked the cushions in store, and they are NOT made with the same materials as that of the sofa that was delivered to me. The customer service team is impossible to get ahold of, have missed several appointments/deliveries, and they aren’t willing to make it right for me.
I had money to burn today. I was looking for a Queen size bedroom set. All of the associates in the Ashley Home store (Sandhills Shopping area) let me walk the ENTIRE store without so much as an acknowledgement. From the Black ladies in the rear right corner at the finance desk to the White males sitting on the patio furniture at the front of the store... NOBODY asked me if I needed help. Guess I didn't look like money to them...poorest customer service to date...and to think I've purchased 2 complete bedroom sets from the Ashley Company 2 years in a row (obviously different locations)...damn shame.

In March, I attempted to order a bedroom set with the Ashley Advantage card. When purchasing, it said “error.” I thought the order never when through. Clearly, it did. Ashley charged my credit card. Each time I check the order information, it tells me I have no pending orders. I’ve contacted Synchrony bank and they have said to contact Ashley to cancel the order. I spoke to a representative and they claimed to cancel the order. Called Synchrony last week and found out Ashley’s representative never cancelled the order. Each time I call, I am on hold forever. I’ve tried texting them through the interactive bot. Doing that method never gets you an agent though. Your best bet in a discount furniture store near you. I do not recommend them.
About 2 weeks before Christmas, I purchased a sectional sofa. Not too happy because the pillows on the back of the seats are already squashed down. They needed more support. Otherwise it's okay.

I came here to make a good investment in what we thought was higher end furniture. The beginning was great our sales agent was super helpful. We picked out a higher priced sectional and recliner thinking it was going to be durable. when furniture was delivered the middle part was two inches shorter than it should have been (manufacture flaw) and 4 days in the chase broke. The 1100 dollar recliner 5 days in to owning it broke and the wood cracks everytime you sit down. I called to have recliner switched out and they say it's field repairable but I'll have to wait 28 days to get it serviced. So from the time the furniture broke to the time it will be repaired is almost a month and a half. They have switched out sectional since but the deliver team showed up smelling very strong of marijuana and didn't have the proper drill bit to install feet so had to borrow tool . Over all I'd like to burn this furniture to the ground and never shop here again. Customer service is awfull and all the furniture is made from visible particle board and plastic motors.

take your money elsewhere I ordered an entire house of furniture and delievery got pushed back 8 times and 3 months later I finally got all my piece two are broke and I had to put 2 pieces together myself place is a joke save your time and money and the head ache had to take off work multiple times to wait for my delievery to not show.

I work with someone who has had to arrange to miss work on a couple of occasions(this is a fact as I am who changed his schedule) but the deliveries are cancelled on at least 2 maybe 3 occasions. My perception is they oversold and under produced. No interest in ever dealing with Ashley Furniture. I do know this for a fact of the deliveries being cancelled. I’m warning the potential customer that this could happen. Ashley should make their wrong/right and that’s the biggest issue I have with all of this.

My wife went in on Black Friday and picked out a coffee and end table set. Tables were delivered on Dec. 10th, and I took the day off to receive them. Once they started putting them together, I realized they didn't look anything like the tables my wife told me she ordered. Turns out, they were wrong and the store/salesman stated apparently the tag on the set she actually wanted, was wrong and that they'd fix it. Well, here we are on Dec. 29, the date our correct tables were supposed to arrive, and of course, they are once again the wrong tables. We are now being told we can have the correct tables delivered in another 1.5 weeks from now...Also, I would like to mention that the first delivery guys to deliver tables left my house a complete wreck, with packing paper & Styrofoam everywhere, and as they were leaving one of them dropped a bag of washers, spilled them all over my kitchen and living room, and just left. I got to spend a solid hour cleaning up after them, and I'm still finding random washers around the house. Will likely be asking for our money back, and shopping elsewhere.

My neighbor got a delivery from Ashley in September and the delivery drivers came down the road to turn around and backed into my mailbox. Once a neighbor up the street happened to tell me that she had The Ring doorbell and that she would check it for me, we discovered it was on camera. I have contacted the store several times by phone and email. I have also sent the video to them. Every time I call I get no return call as promised. They tried to tell me that you have to put a claim in within 24hrs but how could I when I didn’t know who did it or know that a neighbor up the street had a camera!? I didn’t have a deliver someone up the street that I don’t know had the delivery! Also they said that their drivers are contracted through them. So I guess they just hire anyone. Unprofessional and dishonest. Both the drivers and the store!

Hey everyone - normally, I try to only leave positive feedback about local retailers and restaurants. That being said, I've had such a crappy experience at Ashley Furniture on Harbison that I promised myself I'd leave a lousy review in as many places as I could, in the hopes that I could at least cause them to lose the same amount of business as their lousy products and service cost me. Background info: I've purchased many, many things from both this store as well as other locations in the past 10 years to the tune of many thousands of dollars. They used to be my first choice, as I used to find they offered a good quality product at a reasonable price. I have been a good, polite customer, and I dont typically make a pain in the butt of myself. Fast Forward to 2018: My wife and I finished building our patio outside. We purchased a (what we thought at the time) very nice outdoor set for close to $2000 delivered. Long story short, with very little use over the course of the past year, the wicker on the furniture started to split (presumably due to the heat). The Sofa is now continuing to unravel. I first called their customer service and was told that the item was only covered for 1 year due to defects, but since I have an extended warranty - that it should be covered by that. After getting the run-around from the warranty company for a few days, I was told that the warranty only covered accidental damage and not "normal wear and tear". Fair enough. Back to the store I go. This time I call up and speak with a rep - I explain the situation to them. She says she will go to a manager and I will receive a call back in 24-48 hours. The call never comes, of course. I try again this morning. Same deal. Explain to the rep what was happening. Got the store / corporate policy repeated to me *again*. I explained that I understood the policy. I asked if that given how close it was to the warranty expiration, and given the amount of money I have spent with them over the years if an exception could be made. She said no, and repeated store policy. I asked for a manager / supervisor, and was stonewalled once again. She (Nikia, I believe) simply repeated the policy of "We cant help you because it's out of warranty" and in not so many words, told me to bugger off. I promised that I'd never shop there again, and I'd go out of my way to make sure they lose as many sales as I can. So here I am. If you feel the need to purchase furniture in the near future, please consider avoiding Ashley furniture on Harbison. They are hawking sub-par products and neither stand behind them nor do they really give a crap about their customers once they have your money. If you need cheap garbage that will fall apart and rude customer service, I'd suggest Walmart instead. At least you know what to expect there.
First, I will say actually purchasing the furniture was a great experience. Found exactly what we wanted and was able to get a good deal. That is the only reason Ashley gets 1 star. After purchasing it took almost 2 months for all items to be delivered. Dates were pushed and cancelled without my notification. I had to call and go in store several times to actually figure out where my stuff was. After the final piece had finally been delivered they offered $50 store credit for compensation of my troubles... I told them to keep it because I won't be spending another dime on Ashley Furniture. Very poor customer care

We went to the store at Village at Sandhills. The store is very large the lots of options for about anything you are looking to purchase. This was our first visit there and we will be back. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Evonne took excellent care of us and the next time we are there we will go in the door looking for her.

We purchased a couch online 6 weeks ago. It has been delayed 4 times. We have had to reschedule movers 4 times and accommodated work schedules 4 times, with no guarantee that it will actually arrive this week. Unacceptable business practice.
Overpriced nice sales staff
Horrible customer service! Ordered a mattress, was delivered by very rude drivers, mattress was dirty. Sent back, then ended up cancelling our order all together due to lack of concern for continued issues over the committed new delivery date. Had two more rooms we planned to furnish through this store, will never shop at Ashley again! VERY disappointing at our treatment over all!
EDIT: Spoke with Scott, the DM for the area. Insane difference in customer care. He listened to my concerns, actually followed through with employee development, corrected the displays and signage, and helped us out with our purchase. He had a very understandable explanation for the price differences, and while I dont like it, I understand it. Moving this to a 4/5 stars, and will bring it up to the 5/5 if delivery goes well. That's Ashley's Achilles heel. . . . ------------- This one is a doozy. . . . . . Bottom Line: Went in on 4th of July because we got an email about awesome sales. Prices are not as listed, car dealership style "let's find a payment solution for you" customer service, and finally just plain ignorance and rudeness I have an Ashley Card with with over 10k available. I will be calling tomorrow to close it. If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and look at other stores and companies for your furniture needs. Ashley's has always had problems, at this store manages to bring all of them together. Went in because we purchased a new house and needed some furniture. We've had problems with Ashley's before, but I figured it might be regional. I was wrong. After about an hour of figuring out what we wanted, we started the process of buying. First thing that came up was the Hot Buys. We were told that the $500 couch we were going to buy (along with the $1000 of seat, loveseat, etc. ) Was not $500, it was $1000 because I cant finance and get the sale price. So if I want to use their credit card, it's going to cost me an additional $500. Next up was the brand new Dining Room table we were going to buy for $800. BUT WAIT! The chairs that are shown with the display model are not the chairs you get with the table. No, those chairs are seperate purchases. Again, it was just too much for us. My wife and I said last time we dealt with Ashley's that we wouldnt again. This just reinforced that the company itself has a systemic issue, unfortunately.
Bought brand new XL Twin Mattress and Adjustable Base for our King size frame. Will give update once it arrived..... 4 weeks update we love it. It's amazing how a bed can change your life for the better. Less aches and pain. We are impressed 🤗🤗🤗
We needed to get a piece of furniture right away (long story) and Yvonne was awesome! She made sure we got exactly what we needed and everyone was so helpful. We were really blown away by the customer service.
Not good..when there on last weekend ordered some things which are not to be delivered until July 1 .go to order something else want to put another delivery charge.Got up walked out..they stupid..went 2 stores down got something cheaper..GOD IS GOOD!

Very welcoming store, great staff, no pushy sales people, they let you actually look around and browse. The showroom is large with lots to choose from. Ive been to several furniture store on a quest for a new comfy sofa. Finally after some thought my decision was made, I purchased a reclining 2 seat sofa. The sales lady was really informative and explained everything to me, and gave me all the info about the upcoming sales Memorial Day weekend! The service dept called me a few days early to confirm my purchase, and set up a time for deliver. Service was top notch from start to finish, the delivery staff set up the sofa, had me confirm that I was satisfied, he called the customer support to verify that I was happy with my purchase and no issues that day. Yes and yes I will purchase again, and refer anyone in need of new furniture! Thank you all for making my purchase stress free.
Highly recommend you go anywhere else. Unless you like getting merchandise broken and not only once but three times they tried delivering the replacement piece with rips or broken arm rest. Then customer service offers a $10 to $30 discount, lmao what a joke. Go anywhere else but here, not worth the headache.
They have nice contemporary furniture at decent prices sales people are also nice and low pressure
I have purchased over $5,000 of merchandise from this store and i will never purchase anything from this store ever again. I don't recommend them to anyone as they don't have a good warranty department when it comes to fixing or servicing your purchases. We purchased a reclining couch from them 3 years ago and the frame had an issue and they came out once and repaired the couch with a longer screw that didn't hold but for 2 months and it was broke. It took 2 months for someone to come out and inspect it and then they said that the recliner is broke and that the seat portion is broke. So part was ordered and arrive a week later and still waiting a month later for them to come back and finish the repair work . but in the meantime i have a couch i can't even sit on. The store can do nothing for you when it comes to this and they have a warranty company that does all the repairs that is understaffed and once you schedule a time with them then you have to wait until the day before your appointment for them to call you which is most of the times at 5:00 or later and it is an automated system that advises you of your 3-4 hour window of when they will arrive. Stay away and go spend your money elsewhere, the store doesn't seem to care about the customer after the purchase or wants to retain your business after the fact.

I liked the furniture they offered, but left without buying anything. I prefer not to be followed by the salesperson. I appreciate their enthusiasm, but it was a little much. My husband and I prefer to look around on our own & then ask the salesperson who greeted us first any questions we might have. They really overdo it here.

This is for the Columbia SC store. If I could give them 0 stars I would. We bought a dual recliner on December 7th. When it was delivered, it had a tear in the upholstery and there was a piece missing in the framework. They said they would send someone to fix it. About 3 weeks later he arrived but told us they had sent the wrong part and the missing part didn't exist anymore because this was an old model. WHAT?! I bought a NEW chair. We asked for it to be replaced. They scheduled delivery for Feb 1 but then said they couldn't do it that day so finally delivered on Feb 8th. 2 months after we purchased we finally have our furniture. Customer service is awful. We called them several times and were on hold for almost an hour each time. During one call, they actually HUNG UP on us.
We went to 8 furniture stores in the midlands area. This store had the best price and the highest quality. We also appreciated the type of customer service, helpful but not hovering or judgemental. Many stores made us feel like we weren't rich enough for their product; one even told us to "Work Hard" insinuating that we were professionals in our 30s who couldn't afford their status. At Ashley, Mike C. was so helpful, made us feel at home, and in the end we got exactly what we wanted for a great price compared to the competition. The delivery service was great too, on time, polite, and got the pieces up some tricky stairs without any trouble. Would recommend to a friend!
