Bought this comfortable couch for the den and I love how it is raised so I can get up without struggling. The salesman was very kind and gave me space to make my decision. Then when I was walking to the counter, I was out of breath, (respiratory issues) and another salesman quickly got me water from vending machine, refusing my money . Small acts of kindness go a long way. This was a very nice experience and I’m very pleased.

Hytham was a wonderful salesman! He was patient as we shopped around the store, and made great suggestions with what color chair fabric and patterns would match the beautiful couch and end table we picked out!!

Billy help us a lot with the selection of our furniture. We loved his attention, he rocks!!! We are very satisfied with the support, furniture quality and overall service!

I took my parents to Ashley Furniture on Woodruff to shop for furniture. Jamar Wray was our consultant. Jamar greeted us and answered all of our many questions with great patience. He made a two-day journey very easy and made sure we received the best deal. We intended to only purchase a couch but ended up adding a matching recliner as well. We weren’t pressured at any point and felt awesome about making the right purchase. Jamar’s service was above par and he knows a lot about furniture. If you want a great experience with furniture shopping, ask for Jamar at Ashley’s on Woodruff. You won’t be disappointed.

This review is intended to give me e opportunity to share my experience with Ashley Furniture, but my goal is to let the general public know what a great salesperson Heather H. was to me and my son. If you're looking for well-built furniture, but don't want some greedy salesperson trying to shove products down your throat that you don't need and aren't interested in, or are outside your budget, then go to Ashley @ 1017 Woodruff Rd. in Greenville and make sure you ask for Heather H.

Bj sold us dresser, nightstand, mattress and box springs. Queen mattress was too big for antique bed so we refused delivery. Went to store and BJ reorders but ordered a 5 inch box springs instead of 9 inch. Called BJ and left message with no return phone call. I finally reached him and he said it was resolved. Two weeks later bother. Bj will not answer or return phone calls. I have called customer care who promised call backs. Nothing. I actually spoke to a co manager on Friday who promised a call back on Saturday. Nothing. Received email that we were getting a store credit for $150. No one asked us if this was ok. Box springs cost more than that. I regret this purchase and have been cheated out of money. DON’T BUY HERE.

From the moment we walked in, Heather Nicely was charming, personable, knowledgeable, laid back and no pressure. We were focused on a certain criteria and she delivered. Did a telephone order with the Greenville SC. The assistant manager greatly helped us with our moving order as did the sales rep BJ. It was great customer service.

Be careful on what you buy there. Basically once you sign the delivery agreement they are done with it and it’s your problem. I do not recommend buy here bedroom sets, it’s been a headache for us and it just two months since we bought it. Even the sales people is gentle they just want to sell. We have no idea how the box spring could impact on the performance of our mattress. We have an extra firm mattress of a expensive brand that is very heavy. The box spring ended sinking because of the heaviness. Not only that, the slats they sent weren’t enough for a king size bed (3) and guess what, yes one of then got curved. Now let’s see what customer service and service says…. As it was signed for us as accepted the delivery day they won’t replace or refund no matter what problem you have. How could we know that while using it it won’t work? They have kept me calling every week to just make me lose my time and keep me walking in circles. We ended up buying at rooms to go a new box spring and replacing the slats and even buying more. I’m still trying to find a solution but they don’t care they just want you to pay for their expensive and beautiful trash… Also I ended up finding the same box spring they sold me at Walmart for less than half the price they charged and Walmart accepts returns… so be careful on what you buy here and don’t trust on their sales people, do your own research or go to another store. We bought our other bedroom set at RTG and didn’t have any problem ever. Last time buying bedroom sets at this store. And now I know why they keep pushing on buying their insurance because if don’t buy it, it’s basically your problem after the delivery even if it’s a performance problem

We worked with Billy on getting our new sectional. He was fantastic and gave us the best information on it with the fabric and sizing! Definitely recommend Billy!

Worked with Heather Hakkarainen at the Greenville (SC) Ashley Furniture store on Woodruff Road. Buying furniture is similar to buying a car. It is a long and exhausting experience. I hate doing both. However, working with Heather Hakkarainen was by far the best furniture buying experience I’ve ever had. She was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and only provided her expert opinion when asked. I never once felt pressured into buying something there and felt that she was there as customer advocate just to support my needs. Furthermore, I worked with her at the end of the business day and the store was about to close and she never made me feel rushed to finish my large purchase before the store closed. It took awhile but we closed the deal after hours and she and Braun (store manager) were very gracious about staying open longer so I could finish my purchase and paperwork. Great store. Great people. Great salesperson in Heather Hakkarainen. Highly recommend these people for your home furnishing needs. 5 stars.

Hytham was the best!

I went to the store today and had the best experience from start to finish. My daughter and I were greeted by Matthew. I told Matthew what I had in mind. He took me to the perfect chair! He made the whole process quick and easy. He explained what everything was and how the process works. At check out we met Nekeea and Lillian, who AGAIN were wonderful! These two ladies went above and beyond to provide my 4 year old stickers and crayons with a coloring book. In order for me to solely focus on everything Matthew was informing me. The team in this location, well, I just can’t say enough how amazing they were. If I could give 10 stars I would! I was in and out of the store in 35 minutes. For me, the quick trip was exactly what I needed! Please don’t mistake my quick trip as being rushed. No one tried to rush me, Matthew triple checked because of how quick I was that I had exactly what I wanted. I am just a fast paced mom with a schedule to keep, and knew when I saw my chair it was meant to be. 🤗 😊

What an awesome experience! I had been looking to replace my existing Ashley sectional for some time now. After extensive research online I had it down to two choices and wanted to see if either were on display in store. Thankfully, they were! I went by to make sure I liked them in person and wanted the evening to measure out my new living space and sleep on the purchase. Jocelyn was extremely warm and welcoming, giving helpful tips without being pushy or overbearing on day one. When I decided to make the purchase, it was an easy choice to work with her. She made sure I understood the pros and cons of each, ensuring I had thought every little detail through. My favorite part, I was in and out in under 30 minutes. The first day I was there I thought the water bottles were a trap like a car dealership. Turns out these are just nice folks! Give them a shot, I’m glad I did! Everything is cheaper online, however Jocelyn got me a better deal than online saving me over $500.

I was looking for a couch. First person I tried to work with but he was too busy looking for more business. When Will stopped and asked if I had questions, I did and he went above and beyond to explain details on the couch I was looking at. He wasn't about walking away and I let asked if he could help me further. He was great and being I was almost ready to walk out because of the last floor associate, I purchased the sofa because of Will. He spent time went over sales and worked with me within my budget. Great service! I appreciated his time and my plans are to buy more in the future. I'll be only working with Will! He was great!

6/15/25 updating my review. We are so upset, when we were initial customers everything was wonderful, however we have been trying to communicate with Ashley's representatige with no success, always a promise of call back and nothing, our couch was dekivered with a rip at tje bottom, after initial inspection by my boyfriend it was not noticeable because it was covered by tape, after delivery team left and he was removing a cord on the bottom.of the couch he noticed the tape and rip, this was done by a blade or whne they were getting the couth together and covered on purpose. He has reeached out multiple times and nothing has happened, sure Ashley is going to screw us up now. There goes going back for other fueniture needs. We went to Ashley to check out basic furniture as we relocated to South Carolina and met Billy, he has given us top of the line service, we went in to get a couch and conaole accent table today and the experience was as good as the first day we went in, totally recommend and we will be back for other furniture and mattress needs

I bought this couch in 2022 when I was buying it, a sales associate asked me if I wanted to add insurance for the sofa because I have a pet, whichs I added to my payment for the couch. Since I bought first time, I claimed a file for it only thing they did was clean and leave. I just claimed another one because my couch's back cushions flatten and are not cleanable. There is noticeable pilling on the seat cushions. The reason I leave a review they don't care, don't buy it!

My husband Fernando and I just purchased our first home and visited almost every furniture store in Greenville, finding many beautiful pieces. It was Ashley who captured our furniture due to their exceptional salesman “BJ” Brian Johnson. BJ was very welcoming and knowledgeable about their product and did an amazing job balancing the line between giving guidance and giving freedom to the couple picking out items for their next big chapter. In our few visits back to Ashley each member of the staff was kind and welcoming as we stepped in but BJ went above and beyond in his duties going as far as coming into the store on his day off to meet us and sign for all our furniture. BJ sees more than just a customer, he relates to his clients and treats his profession as more than just a job going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. John Russo was an excellent host to my first full furniture buying experience. The most important thing to me was that he was not pushy, not over bearing and was super laid back. He was super knowledgeable, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the inventory in the store. He also respected my budget and did everything possible to make it work. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but John really stood out and provided excellent service. This is not a quick nor easy process, but John made it a wonderful experience. I highly recommend him and this Ashley store if you’re looking for furniture in the Greenville area!

Outstanding service, closing procedures could be better.

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with my recent experience purchasing a bedroom set for my daughter from Ashley Furniture. I initially visited one of your store locations to select a bedroom set and was assisted by a kind sales associate. At the time, I was still deciding and informed her I would follow up. A few days later, she reached out via text, and I responded that I was ready to place my order. I sent her a picture of the bed I wanted but accidentally sent the wrong one. I clarified that I intended to order the version with storage underneath, and she assured me she would send a corrected invoice. However, I received the updated invoice days later, so after waiting several days, I went ahead and placed the order myself online. When the furniture was delivered, the headboard arrived damaged, and I received two right legs instead of a complete matching set. In addition to this, the delivery team left multiple pieces of trash in my yard, which was completely unprofessional and clearly intentional, as the debris was noticeable and scattered. To make matters worse, I’ve been struggling for weeks to get a technician scheduled to repair the damaged headboard. Despite informing customer service multiple times that I am only available in the afternoons, they continue to schedule appointments during times I’m not home. As a result, my daughter has been sleeping on the floor throughout this entire ordeal. Thankfully, I finally secured a technician appointment for this upcoming Saturday to assemble my daughter's bed, but this entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable—especially considering I paid over $2,000 for this furniture. My headboard is still damaged. Given the significant inconvenience, delay in service, delivery issues, and ongoing scheduling problems, I strongly believe I am entitled to a refund for the assembly service. I will not be ordering from Ashley Furniture again and will be sharing my experience publicly so others can make informed decisions.

Jamar W. was such a great salesman! He helped me find what I needed at a great price , he didn't rush and was very polite! Before I knew it I was walking out of the store with what I came there for. I will definitely be returning!

Short version: don't go with Ashley, all the high ratings you see are from when they first buy it. After day 3 where you can't refund your order without a fee you're dirt to them and they could care less. Delivery date was changed even though we were told it would stay the same. I've called and if they approve our delivery date to be changed back I will change this rating back to 5 stars. It's not right to be told your delivery date won't change then you have to reschedule everything because it was a lie. Update: got a text stating we could have it delivered the day we needed it to but now the order didn't pass inspection so we have to reschedule. Surreee it didn't. Im so upset for telling my husband how great Ashley furniture was and now this is our experience. I will never go to Ashley again.

We went to Rooms to go for a new bedroom suite. Let me just say...DO NOT waste your time!! We went to Ashley Furniture and are so HAPPY we did!! Different atmosphere all together!! Bradley was our sales person. I explained our experience with RTG and he had actually worked there for 21 yrs! He said he left because of the way RTG was treating people. Bradley was so helpful and made sure we 100% satisfied with our Bedroom suite and mattress set! Ashley Furniture will be "our" furniture store from now on!

Purchased an orthopedic on payments and was given much different information on payment plans than we ended up getting. Spoke with the salesman afterwards and the salesman admitted in front of his manager that he indeed took advantage of us and yet still did nothing to resolve the issue despite admitting to lying straight to our faces. Never go to Ashley’s it’s clearly the worst.

They even kept me in budget although the mattress should've cost more than my original! Definitley recommend!

I will definitely work with Abby again. Update 3/17/25 Just found out we only had 1 day to report any small damage or defects. We had a bunch of little defects such as the laminate peeling on some corners, one of the shelves has some damage and you can see the mdf. I was told not to worry about the small defects that they would get repaired but guess only if you catch it the same day. Try to avoid this place.

Unfortunately we did not have a great experience, at first it was good. We had Billy as a salesperson. We picked out a bed and mattress, asked him if we needed a foundation. He said yes and never discussed heights with us and added a 10inch foundation, we accepted that he knew his business. It gets delivered unpacked and set up by Ashley's they leave and then we realized the bed with a 10in foundation and a 12in mattress was to tall. Call immediately and inquire about an exchange. Billy dodged me for a day, and when I finally got him on the phone the next day, it took him multiple hrs to get me an answer. Th answer was it's been unpacked so there's nothing I can do, but I'll give you a deal on a shorter one. I didn't order it or unpack it but I sure did pay the price. We will never return! Very shady!

Furniture is okay , but don’t trust them trying to sell you their dimond care warranty!!!!! It’s a huge scam paid $700 of this warranty and guess what almost nothing can be covered! The sales lady there was in aw of this warranty! I’m sure she gets warranty as a bonus working there so you definitely won’t get any warranty there . I’m very upset that I can’t trust Ashley’s sales workers!

Terrible Company and Terrible service! I had a new bed delivered in November and still have yet to receive the missing parts. They say they are on backorder, but never get back to me with a date. I had a great experience at the Ashley Store recently. I’d been looking for a 7-9 drawer dresser with a slim design / length but a full 18’ drawer. Also good side-sliders to avoid a wobbly drawer. Ashley was not on my radar after a few low standard mistakes from the online store. Not only did they have a lot of inventory on the floor but the range of design quality / price was better than competitors. Salesman was super helpful and his Manager really worked out cost of delivery and product protection to meet my comfort zone. Can’t wait for it to arrive!

If there was a negative star I would pick it. I’m shopping for a sofa. Love seat. Modular…I need a full set. The store was empty. I went in and someone came to assist me. I told him what I was looking for and he told me I wasn’t going to find it. I had found something online before. Told him. He told me I was wrong. We walked around…he showed me nothing that I was asking for. Then he said no one makes that. And asked me if I was interested in a mattress. No. Sofa. And so I went across the street to Jeff Lynch. They had exactly what I wanted. I ordered and he list at least a 5000 sale. Rude and uninterested. Will never recommend or return

Two sectionals later with 2 separate warranties and they always find a way not to honor their word. Never again.

Walked into the store having done my research and knew exactly what I wanted. Ive ordered ALOT of furniture from them over the years. Im not sure what has happened to this company, but it is not even close to the superior place it once was. Sales person was efficient with the paperwork and order, hence the 1 star I gave. From there on it was a nightmare. I was given a time frame, which wasnt met nor communicated until I reached out. Then delivered a damaged loveseat, had to wait another 4 weeks, again no communication. I had to repeatedly stay on top of them. REPEATEDLY. Service and delivery departments read from a script and are ZERO help at all. No apology, no nothing. Just read from a script like a robot. I finally have everything I ordered. And I will never order from them again.

We came into Ashley Furniture searching for the perfect couch for our home and John Russo greeted us and immediately helped us find the best deal! John was so personable, friendly and great to work with. We would recommend anyone to find their needs using his expertise!

John Russo was quick to meet us in the store. He was friendly and not pushy like most salesmen. He was knowledgeable and explained everything to us quick. We had our two young kids with us and he was quick to make our purchase and was great with our kids. We left with a couch we were so excited about.
