Me and my mother walked into the store on Woodruff Rd. We were looked at like we didn’t belong in the store. No one would help us for 30 minutes. Finally I walked up to the customer service desk and asked if I could get some help. A lady asked me did anyone greet you when you came in and the answer was NO! Finally, a lady named Sherri got up from her desk and came back to help me. The only reason I spent my money in that store is because Sherri was such a wonderful sales person. If it had not been for her I would’ve walked out and never went back in there. I really hope they get it together in there and come up with a better system to help customers and greet them when they come in because too many negative comments will hurt them.

Because of the rain we were the only customers, at that time, but Braun was super nice and no pressure at all. He completely understood what we were looking for and let us wander around the store until we found the perfect pieces. It was a really nice experience.

Braun was very helpful without being pushy or aggressive. He gave us plenty of time and freedom to walk around the store without him following us around. However, he made himself readily available for any questions that we had. Overall, it was a very pleasant shopping experience.

We have bought many homes and needed a lot of furniture, but Billy has given us the best furniture buying experience. No pressure, very patient with us mixing and matching, and making the process smooth. Go see Billy if you need anything!

Beautiful piece of furniture but DO NOT purchase clearance items from Ashley unless you can pick it up yourself. They will not deliver and the people they recommended to deliver it were either not available or told me they would do it, then stopped returning calls. We ended up having to rent a UHaul and pick it up ourselves. Never again! Other furniture stores deliver clearance items, not to mention this was a $4000 purchase. Salesperson was nice and we had no issue with employees. Corporate just needs to change their policy 😞

They don’t even get 1 star. Stop buying mattress from here they part of scam, they going to be good to customer when you have to buy their furniture not after your order. Be aware do not sign any paperwork from sales. They didn’t even told me that I can’t return or exchange mattress, mattress what I bought is not comfortable I called them and customer service, they signed me all paperwork without informing about exchange or return. I just got mattress 5 days ago, all other stores have 30 day return policy not Ashley furniture! I just wanted to help you all future buyers do not buy any mattresses from Ashley

I was very satisfied with the time, attention and expertise they shared and purchased my mattress that day.

I bought a purple mattress here. 1 week later I am waking up with back pain I never had before. The store manager said I need to live with it longer because I need to get used to the new mattress. He said I only get 1 more chance to get the right mattress, so i have to be sure if I make a change. They don't care if you are comfortable, they just want the sale and then you are stuck. I wish I kept the old mattress that I thought was too old because I slept well before. When you spend $2500 for a mattress you should sleep well.

We purposely went to Ashley's to check out rugs they sold online but found out the store and online are two different entities. We couldn't order the rug in store. While checking out the area rug online, it didn't come in the color we wanted so I put the product in search on Google and found at least 3 different places I could get the same rug. The price was at least $20 cheaper also. I guess the Ashley name has higher priced products. But the customer service lady in Greenvilke, SC was very nice.

Bought this comfortable couch for the den and I love how it is raised so I can get up without struggling. The salesman was very kind and gave me space to make my decision. Then when I was walking to the counter, I was out of breath, (respiratory issues) and another salesman quickly got me water from vending machine, refusing my money . Small acts of kindness go a long way. This was a very nice experience and I’m very pleased.

I took my parents to Ashley Furniture on Woodruff to shop for furniture. Jamar Wray was our consultant. Jamar greeted us and answered all of our many questions with great patience. He made a two-day journey very easy and made sure we received the best deal. We intended to only purchase a couch but ended up adding a matching recliner as well. We weren’t pressured at any point and felt awesome about making the right purchase. Jamar’s service was above par and he knows a lot about furniture. If you're looking for well-built furniture, but don't want some greedy salesperson trying to shove products down your throat that you don't need and aren't interested in, or are outside your budget, then go to Ashley @ 1017 Woodruff Rd. in Greenville and make sure you ask for Heather H.

Bj sold us dresser, nightstand, mattress and box springs. Queen mattress was too big for antique bed so we refused delivery. Went to store and BJ reorders but ordered a 5 inch box springs instead of 9 inch. Called BJ and left message with no return phone call. I finally reached him and he said it was resolved. Two weeks later bother. Bj will not answer or return phone calls. I have called customer care who promised call backs. Nothing. I actually spoke to a co manager on Friday who promised a call back on Saturday. Nothing. Received email that we were getting a store credit for $150. No one asked us if this was ok. Box springs cost more than that. I regret this purchase and have been cheated out of money. DON’T BUY HERE.

Did a telephone order with the Greenville SC. The assistant manager greatly helped us with our moving order as did the sales rep BJ. It was great customer service.

Be careful on what you buy there. Basically once you sign the delivery agreement they are done with it and it’s your problem. I do not recommend buy here bedroom sets, it’s been a headache for us and it just two months since we bought it. Even the sales people is gentle they just want to sell. We have no idea how the box spring could impact on the performance of our mattress. We have an extra firm mattress of a expensive brand that is very heavy. The box spring ended sinking because of the heaviness. Not only that, the slats they sent weren’t enough for a king size bed (3) and guess what, yes one of then got curved. Now let’s see what customer service and service says…. As it was signed for us as accepted the delivery day they won’t replace or refund no matter what problem you have. How could we know that while using it it won’t work? They have kept me calling every week to just make me lose my time and keep me walking in circles. We ended up buying at rooms to go a new box spring and replacing the slats and even buying more. I’m still trying to find a solution but they don’t care they just want you to pay for their expensive and beautiful trash… Also I ended up finding the same box spring they sold me at Walmart for less than half the price they charged and Walmart accepts returns… so be careful on what you buy here and don’t trust on their sales people, do your own research or go to another store. We bought our other bedroom set at RTG and didn’t have any problem ever. Last time buying bedroom sets at this store. And now I know why they keep pushing on buying their insurance because if don’t buy it, it’s basically your problem after the delivery even if it’s a performance problem

Worked with Heather Hakkarainen at the Greenville (SC) Ashley Furniture store on Woodruff Road. Buying furniture is similar to buying a car. It is a long and exhausting experience. I hate doing both. However, working with Heather Hakkarainen was by far the best furniture buying experience I’ve ever had. She was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and only provided her expert opinion when asked. I never once felt pressured into buying something there and felt that she was there as customer advocate just to support my needs. Furthermore, I worked with her at the end of the business day and the store was about to close and she never made me feel rushed to finish my large purchase before the store closed. It took awhile but we closed the deal after hours and she and Braun (store manager) were very gracious about staying open longer so I could finish my purchase and paperwork. Great store. Great people. Great salesperson in Heather Hakkarainen. Highly recommend these people for your home furnishing needs. 5 stars.

I went to the store today and had the best experience from start to finish. My daughter and I were greeted by Matthew. I told Matthew what I had in mind. He took me to the perfect chair! He made the whole process quick and easy. He explained what everything was and how the process works. At check out we met Nekeea and Lillian, who AGAIN were wonderful! These two ladies went above and beyond to provide my 4 year old stickers and crayons with a coloring book. In order for me to solely focus on everything Matthew was informing me. The team in this location, well, I just can’t say enough how amazing they were. If I could give 10 stars I would! I was in and out of the store in 35 minutes. For me, the quick trip was exactly what I needed! Please don’t mistake my quick trip as being rushed. No one tried to rush me, Matthew triple checked because of how quick I was that I had exactly what I wanted. What an awesome experience! I had been looking to replace my existing Ashley sectional for some time now. After extensive research online I had it down to two choices and wanted to see if either were on display in store. Thankfully, they were! I went by to make sure I liked them in person and wanted the evening to measure out my new living space and sleep on the purchase. Jocelyn was extremely warm and welcoming, giving helpful tips without being pushy or overbearing on day one. When I decided to make the purchase, it was an easy choice to work with her. She made sure I understood the pros and cons of each, ensuring I had thought every little detail through. My favorite part, I was in and out in under 30 minutes. The first day I was there I thought the water bottles were a trap like a car dealership. Turns out these are just nice folks! Give them a shot, I’m glad I did! Everything is cheaper online, however Jocelyn got me a better deal than online saving me over $500.

6/15/25 updating my review. We are so upset, when we were initial customers everything was wonderful, however we have been trying to communicate with Ashley's representatige with no success, always a promise of call back and nothing, our couch was dekivered with a rip at tje bottom, after initial inspection by my boyfriend it was not noticeable because it was covered by tape, after delivery team left and he was removing a cord on the bottom.of the couch he noticed the tape and rip, this was done by a blade or whne they were getting the couth together and covered on purpose. He has reeached out multiple times and nothing has happened, sure Ashley is going to screw us up now. There goes going back for other fueniture needs. We went to Ashley to check out basic furniture as we relocated to South Carolina and met Billy, he has given us top of the line service, we went in to get a couch and conaole accent table today and the experience was as good as the first day we went in, totally recommend and we will be back for other furniture and mattress needs

I bought this couch in 2022 when I was buying it, a sales associate asked me if I wanted to add insurance for the sofa because I have a pet, whichs I added to my payment for the couch. Since I bought first time, I claimed a file for it only thing they did was clean and leave. I just claimed another one because my couch's back cushions flatten and are not cleanable. There is noticeable pilling on the seat cushions. The reason I leave a review they don't care, don't buy it!

My husband Fernando and I just purchased our first home and visited almost every furniture store in Greenville, finding many beautiful pieces. It was Ashley who captured our furniture due to their exceptional salesman “BJ” Brian Johnson. BJ was very welcoming and knowledgeable about their product and did an amazing job balancing the line between giving guidance and giving freedom to the couple picking out items for their next big chapter. In our few visits back to Ashley each member of the staff was kind and welcoming as we stepped in but BJ went above and beyond in his duties going as far as coming into the store on his day off to meet us and sign for all our furniture. BJ sees more than just a customer, he relates to his clients and treats his profession as more than just a job going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. Ashley furniture has acquired lifetime customers in my Husband and I, and it is all thanks to BJ in the Greenville, SC Ashley Store.

John Russo was an excellent host to my first full furniture buying experience. The most important thing to me was that he was not pushy, not over bearing and was super laid back. He was super knowledgeable, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the inventory in the store. He also respected my budget and did everything possible to make it work. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but John really stood out and provided excellent service. This is not a quick nor easy process, but John made it a wonderful experience. I highly recommend him and this Ashley store if you’re looking for furniture in the Greenville area!

Best Experience I ever had in a furniture store! I had a issue with my delivery and I called the store Bradley the salesman was quick, kind, and more then happy to help me resolve this issue. I also spoke to the other two front inn manager, The First one listen, took my information, and researched my case the second manager called me back with a solution! and with the steps I needed to take towards satisfaction! Not just a quick fix! But actual empathy, respect, understanding, and more importantly resolution! Your office management! and Staff was a Extremely helpful! and an absolute Jewel to that store Thank you Ladies!

Outstanding service, closing procedures could be better.

I am writing to express my deep frustration and disappointment with my recent experience purchasing a bedroom set for my daughter from Ashley Furniture. I initially visited one of your store locations to select a bedroom set and was assisted by a kind sales associate. At the time, I was still deciding and informed her I would follow up. A few days later, she reached out via text, and I responded that I was ready to place my order. I sent her a picture of the bed I wanted but accidentally sent the wrong one. I clarified that I intended to order the version with storage underneath, and she assured me she would send a corrected invoice. However, I received the updated invoice days later, so after waiting several days, I went ahead and placed the order myself online. When the furniture was delivered, the headboard arrived damaged, and I received two right legs instead of a complete matching set. In addition to this, the delivery team left multiple pieces of trash in my yard, which was completely unprofessional and clearly intentional, as the debris was noticeable and scattered. To make matters worse, I’ve been struggling for weeks to get a technician scheduled to repair the damaged headboard. Despite informing customer service multiple times that I am only available in the afternoons, they continue to schedule appointments during times I’m not home. As a result, my daughter has been sleeping on the floor throughout this entire ordeal. Thankfully, I finally secured a technician appointment for this upcoming Saturday to assemble my daughter's bed, but this entire experience has been incredibly frustrating and unacceptable—especially considering I paid over $2,000 for this furniture. My headboard is still damaged. Given the significant inconvenience, delay in service, delivery issues, and ongoing scheduling problems, I strongly believe I am entitled to a refund for the assembly service. I will not be ordering from Ashley Furniture again and will be sharing my experience publicly so others can make informed decisions.

What sold me on Ashley Furniture was the sales person Heather Hakkarainen. She listened to what I was looking for, in a mattress, and showed me what she thought met my needs. Her response was within 4 hours. Having all my questions answered that day, I went in again to lay on the mattress, and decided to purchase the Stearns and Foster mattress. He even helped us out by drawing pictures because we couldn’t decide between two couches and trying to imagine how they would fit in our living room. He was extremely helpful but also really laid back and put no pressure on us to buy. It was a great buying experience and when we’re in the market for more furniture we will definitely be back to visit Will!

I visited the store in Greenville twice, looking and testing out sofas and loveseats. I met Abby, a saleswoman. She patiently answered all my questions, but allowed me to look on my own and did not follow me around. Which I loved! My purchase is yet to be delivered, but I'm hoping the delivery service equals her customer service!

We had a great experience shopping at Ashley for dining chairs. Our salesperson, Sherry, was attentive and very courteous. We found what we were looking for at a good price and are awaiting delivery.

Short version: don't go with Ashley, all the high ratings you see are from when they first buy it. After day 3 where you can't refund your order without a fee you're dirt to them and they could care less. Delivery date was changed even though we were told it would stay the same. I've called and if they approve our delivery date to be changed back I will change this rating back to 5 stars. It's not right to be told your delivery date won't change then you have to reschedule everything because it was a lie. Update: got a text stating we could have it delivered the day we needed it to but now the order didn't pass inspection so we have to reschedule. Surreee it didn't. Im so upset for telling my husband how great Ashley furniture was and now this is our experience. I will never go to Ashley again.
