I strongly recommend avoiding Ashley Furniture. The quality of the furniture I received was subpar, and I had major issues with damaged goods upon delivery. Even after following their return policy, I had to go through an exhausting process just to try to return the product. Despite spending a significant amount of money, I’m still stuck with a damaged TV stand that hasn’t been fixed. Save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for better quality and customer service. please stay far away and look elsewhere for furniture.

Do not shop with ASHLEY FURNITURE OF GREENVILLE SC EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! Matthew Kennedy overcharged me for my order. Printed a sales receipt for a certain amount and then charged $600+ than what was quoted on the paperwork and is currently stalling to correct it! He claims the transaction didn't process the first time and ran the charge again. When the delivery guy shows up, he shows up with 2 beds! I only ordered 1, so that goes to show that the order was processed the first time. Highly disappointed in this company for not handling this manner. I will be contacting the main office and filing a complaint

Terrible experience. I was talked into purchasing the stores insurance coverage, only to feel completely scammed. I have been waiting since late June for them to fix my couch. After weeks of follow up calls, they told me there was no one available to repair it. I reminded them that the contract stated I should receive a replacement if it couldn’t be fixed, but they refuse to honor that. When I asked again for a repair date, they finally offered Saturday. I agreed, but clearly explained that I work and the appointment needed to be after 1 PM. This whole process has been frustrating, time consuming, and disappointing. I would not recommend a store or their insurance coverage

They don’t deserve one star. They brought us a California King bed. And put a queen size mattress on it and left before I could get dresssed. Got someone with Parkinson’s that can’t walk to sign off on it. Now they won’t fix the problem or take the bed back. They have stolen 2000$ from us that we worked hard to save up. Now won’t do a thing to make it right. They are rude, smug, arrogant thieves. And if you look online and social media you’ll see they are doing a whole lot of people the same way.

Initially we had a great experience with Mr. Braun Clark when we bought our sofa and dining room set. When it came to delivery, we received a notification that the sofa console did not pass inspection and that they would re-order one and deliver it. It is now almost 3 weeks later and no console... I called for an update and was told that they canceled the order for the console on Sept 2 and they NEVER notified us or updated our transaction order. After almost an hour on the phone going back and fourth because they said it was our fault (?) and a "miscommunication" because we updated two consoles to one. The woman at the Woodruff store, Lillian, was rude, dismissive, raised her voice and talked over me. Not once did she apologize. I will not be returning back to this store and do not recommend coming here.

We called prior to our arrival and spoke to a gentleman about what we were looking for. He gave us some options to come in and look at. We stopped by the store and wandered around looking for the sofas he had mentioned. Everytime we got near a employee, they would literally turn and go the opposite direction. One guy was sitting on a sofa playing on his phone and got up and moved to another sofa when he saw me approaching him. I couldn't believe it. We wanted to order the Boothbay collection. We were not even able to do that. We have been to every furniture place in Greenville and this was the first one that we were made to feel unwelcome. Their store manager needs to do better.

First sales person was very nice and helpful but when he got other customer,he voided our invoice while we were negotiating and left us without informing. Then I asked him to buy that furniture,he directed to other lady sales person.She didn’t have any interest but she agreed to help original sales person. Now she come up with higher prices and despite asking to check with original salesperson,she didn’t want to get up from chair.Even after billing and for making payments,she didn’t come to signing machine. Nice place but most of the salespeople are non interested.

Will greeted us warmly as soon as we walked in, told us about the special philanthropic promotion and left us to roam the store without any undue pressure. I recently visited the Ashley home store and was quite surprised to see the transformation from previous times. Did they lose their store designer? The entire experience was sad and uninspiring.

The one star is for the employees at the actual store and the furniture being decent quality besides the marks and chips it came with. Overall, I have been so disappointed and dissatisfied with this company. We ordered a bedroom suite, there were chips and marks in the wood. As well as one of the nightstand drawers is completely dysfunctional. There is a technician supposed to be coming to fix it, however when spending this kind of money you expect it to be perfect when arriving. We ordered the mattress, it was supposed to come August 5th. It got moved to the 26th. Keep in mind this is my first time buying furniture, therefore I was sleeping on an air mattress for over a month. The time comes around for the mattress delivery and i get a confirmation text for the 23rd, not the 26th. I had already taken work off, so I had to scramble to try to get this fixed. Finally I got in touch with a corporate manager who fixed it thank goodness. Overall, this company is extremely disorganized and does not function well like it used to. Everyone always recommends Ashley furniture, i guess because it used to be good. Not anymore, I will not be shopping here ever again.

Bj (Brian) was amazing, super great to work with really helpful. He answered ALL questions my husband and I had. Even offered us a quote and walked us through how financing worked. Ended up buying something and would happily come back.

Avoid avoid avoid. Misleading and scammy. Wife and I just purchased a new bedroom set for our hours. This is my third time furnishing the room through Ashley, but wow will it be the last. We were signed up for a credit card without our knowing. When I even asked the question about how I'm paying the question was completely dodged saying "It's easy you don't pay anything right now, but you will when you get the furniture. You will receive something in the mail that explains it." I mentioned payment on our credit card to my wife and the sales agent said "well we offer 12 month financing with 0% interest. Might as well do that it's 12 payments instead of 1". When we sat down and went through all my information (Address for delivery, account name, etc) he asked for my social which I thought was a little odd, but I trust Ashley so I gave it. I signed and initialed beside all of the pieces of furniture I was buying, told to sign here it states this is the discount from the price match, this is the discount from the sale going on, and apparently a line was snuck in there about opening up a credit card. Not once was a credit card mentioned or "synchrony". Even after asking how I'll pay. I called and talked to the manager after finding out and she was very apologetic and felt very bad that it happened and recommended I call the customer care from Ashley. Ashley said they can't do anything for me, no compensation, etc. since I signed the document. I expressed that I was strongly mislead into it and how it was signed and that is what I have an issue with, but they didn't care. So I guess I have an Ashley credit card now.

This store made an overwhelming and stressful purchase simple and fun. It shouldn't be stressful upgrading a mattress but the website has so many options and I don't know what they are. I chatted with a consultant and she reached out to a sales professional at the store and we arranged a time to meet so he could show me what he knew I was looking for. I found what I wanted (it's fabulous) within an hour and I was able to sit down and relax while he drew up the order details and arrange for delivery and set up. I got a great deal but better than the deal was the exceptional customer service. Highly recommend that store and Jamar, in particular for his product knowledge, customer service abilities (to soothe my anxiety) and professionalism.

Me and my mother walked into the store on Woodruff Rd. We were looked at like we didn’t belong in the store. No one would help us for 30 minutes. Finally I walked up to the customer service desk and asked if I could get some help. A lady asked me did anyone greet you when you came in and the answer was NO! Finally, a lady named Sherri got up from her desk and came back to help me. The only reason I spent my money in that store is because Sherri was such a wonderful sales person. If it had not been for her I would’ve walked out and never went back in there. I really hope they get it together in there and come up with a better system to help customers and greet them when they come in because too many negative comments will hurt them.

Because of the rain we were the only customers, at that time, but Braun was super nice and no pressure at all. He completely understood what we were looking for and let us wander around the store until we found the perfect pieces. It was a really nice experience.

Braun was very helpful without being pushy or aggressive. He gave us plenty of time and freedom to walk around the store without him following us around. However, he made himself readily available for any questions that we had. Overall, it was a very pleasant shopping experience.

We have bought many homes and needed a lot of furniture, but Billy has given us the best furniture buying experience. No pressure, very patient with us mixing and matching, and making the process smooth. Go see Billy if you need anything!

Beautiful piece of furniture but DO NOT purchase clearance items from Ashley unless you can pick it up yourself. They will not deliver and the people they recommended to deliver it were either not available or told me they would do it, then stopped returning calls. We ended up having to rent a UHaul and pick it up ourselves. Never again! Other furniture stores deliver clearance items, not to mention this was a $4000 purchase. Salesperson was nice and we had no issue with employees. Corporate just needs to change their policy 😞

I bought a purple mattress here. 1 week later I am waking up with back pain I never had before. The store manager said I need to live with it longer because I need to get used to the new mattress. He said I only get 1 more chance to get the right mattress, so i have to be sure if I make a change. They don't care if you are comfortable, they just want the sale and then you are stuck. I wish I kept the old mattress that I thought was too old because I slept well before. When you spend $2500 for a mattress you should sleep well.

We purposely went to Ashley's to check out rugs they sold online but found out the store and online are two different entities. We couldn't order the rug in store. While checking out the area rug online, it didn't come in the color we wanted so I put the product in search on Google and found at least 3 different places I could get the same rug. The price was at least $20 cheaper also. I guess the Ashley name has higher priced products. But the customer service lady in Greenvilke, SC was very nice.

Bought this comfortable couch for the den and I love how it is raised so I can get up without struggling. The salesman was very kind and gave me space to make my decision. Then when I was walking to the counter, I was out of breath, (respiratory issues) and another salesman quickly got me water from vending machine, refusing my money . If you're looking for well-built furniture, but don't want some greedy salesperson trying to shove products down your throat that you don't need and aren't interested in, or are outside your budget, then go to Ashley @ 1017 Woodruff Rd. in Greenville and make sure you ask for Heather H.

Bj sold us dresser, nightstand, mattress and box springs. Queen mattress was too big for antique bed so we refused delivery. Went to store and BJ reorders but ordered a 5 inch box springs instead of 9 inch. Called BJ and left message with no return phone call. I finally reached him and he said it was resolved. Two weeks later bother. Bj will not answer or return phone calls. I have called customer care who promised call backs. Nothing. I actually spoke to a co manager on Friday who promised a call back on Saturday. Nothing. Received email that we were getting a store credit for $150. No one asked us if this was ok. Box springs cost more than that. I regret this purchase and have been cheated out of money. DON’T BUY HERE.

Did a telephone order with the Greenville SC. The assistant manager greatly helped us with our moving order as did the sales rep BJ. It was great customer service.

Be careful on what you buy there. Basically once you sign the delivery agreement they are done with it and it’s your problem. I do not recommend buy here bedroom sets, it’s been a headache for us and it just two months since we bought it. Even the sales people is gentle they just want to sell. We have no idea how the box spring could impact on the performance of our mattress. We have an extra firm mattress of a expensive brand that is very heavy. The box spring ended sinking because of the heaviness. Not only that, the slats they sent weren’t enough for a king size bed (3) and guess what, yes one of then got curved. Now let’s see what customer service and service says…. As it was signed for us as accepted the delivery day they won’t replace or refund no matter what problem you have. How could we know that while using it it won’t work? They have kept me calling every week to just make me lose my time and keep me walking in circles. We ended up buying at rooms to go a new box spring and replacing the slats and even buying more. I’m still trying to find a solution but they don’t care they just want you to pay for their expensive and beautiful trash… Also I ended up finding the same box spring they sold me at Walmart for less than half the price they charged and Walmart accepts returns… so be careful on what you buy here and don’t trust on their sales people, do your own research or go to another store. We bought our other bedroom set at RTG and didn’t have any problem ever. Last time buying bedroom sets at this store. And now I know why they keep pushing on buying their insurance because if don’t buy it, it’s basically your problem after the delivery even if it’s a performance problem

Worked with Heather Hakkarainen at the Greenville (SC) Ashley Furniture store on Woodruff Road. Buying furniture is similar to buying a car. It is a long and exhausting experience. I hate doing both. However, working with Heather Hakkarainen was by far the best furniture buying experience I’ve ever had. She was knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and only provided her expert opinion when asked. I never once felt pressured into buying something there and felt that she was there as customer advocate just to support my needs. Furthermore, I worked with her at the end of the business day and the store was about to close and she never made me feel rushed to finish my large purchase before the store closed. It took awhile but we closed the deal after hours and she and Braun (store manager) were very gracious about staying open longer so I could finish my purchase and paperwork. Great store. Great people. Great salesperson in Heather Hakkarainen. Highly recommend these people for your home furnishing needs. 5 stars.

I went to the store today and had the best experience from start to finish. My daughter and I were greeted by Matthew. I told Matthew what I had in mind. He took me to the perfect chair! These two ladies went above and beyond to provide my 4 year old stickers and crayons with a coloring book. In order for me to solely focus on everything Matthew was informing me. What an awesome experience! I had been looking to replace my existing Ashley sectional for some time now. After extensive research online I had it down to two choices and wanted to see if either were on display in store. Thankfully, they were! I went by to make sure I liked them in person and wanted the evening to measure out my new living space and sleep on the purchase. Jocelyn was extremely warm and welcoming, giving helpful tips without being pushy or overbearing on day one. When I decided to make the purchase, it was an easy choice to work with her. She made sure I understood the pros and cons of each, ensuring I had thought every little detail through. My favorite part, I was in and out in under 30 minutes. The first day I was there I thought the water bottles were a trap like a car dealership. Turns out these are just nice folks! Give them a shot, I’m glad I did! Everything is cheaper online, however Jocelyn got me a better deal than online saving me over $500.

I was looking for a couch. First person I tried to work with but he was too busy looking for more business. When Will stopped and asked if I had questions, I did and he went above and beyond to explain details on the couch I was looking at. He wasn't about walking away and I let asked if he could help me further. He was great and being I was almost ready to walk out because of the last floor associate, I purchased the sofa because of Will. He spent time went over sales and worked with me within my budget. Great service! I appreciated his time and my plans are to buy more in the future. I'll be only working with Will! He was great!

6/15/25 updating my review. We are so upset, when we were initial customers everything was wonderful, however we have been trying to communicate with Ashley's representatige with no success, always a promise of call back and nothing, our couch was dekivered with a rip at tje bottom, after initial inspection by my boyfriend it was not noticeable because it was covered by tape, after delivery team left and he was removing a cord on the bottom.of the couch he noticed the tape and rip, this was done by a blade or whne they were getting the couth together and covered on purpose. He has reeached out multiple times and nothing has happened, sure Ashley is going to screw us up now. There goes going back for other fueniture needs. We went to Ashley to check out basic furniture as we relocated to South Carolina and met Billy, he has given us top of the line service, we went in to get a couch and conaole accent table today and the experience was as good as the first day we went in, totally recommend and we will be back for other furniture and mattress needs

BJ was absolutely wonderful and very knowledgeable about all the products. It was a pleasure to work with him and even when we decided to wait on a more expensive item he continued to be just as helpful and engaging. Ashley has a gem in him!

Bradley was awesome — super helpful and made the buying process easy! Update: I’m updating my review because we decided to use a payment plan for the furniture we purchased. We were originally quoted around $95–$110 per month, but somehow our payments ended up being nearly $150 per month. Now I’m having to work with the company to adjust it back to something more affordable. This experience feels similar to other places that aren’t fully transparent about the total cost until after the purchase. I don’t usually leave negative reviews, but I hope sharing this helps others make sure they get an honest and final quote before signing up.

I bought this couch in 2022 when I was buying it, a sales associate asked me if I wanted to add insurance for the sofa because I have a pet, whichs I added to my payment for the couch. Since I bought first time, I claimed a file for it only thing they did was clean and leave. I just claimed another one because my couch's back cushions flatten and are not cleanable. There is noticeable pilling on the seat cushions. The reason I leave a review they don't care, don't buy it!

My husband Fernando and I just purchased our first home and visited almost every furniture store in Greenville, finding many beautiful pieces. BJ was very welcoming and knowledgeable about their product and did an amazing job balancing the line between giving guidance and giving freedom to the couple picking out items for their next big chapter. In our few visits back to Ashley each member of the staff was kind and welcoming as we stepped in but BJ went above and beyond in his duties going as far as coming into the store on his day off to meet us and sign for all our furniture. BJ sees more than just a customer, he relates to his clients and treats his profession as more than just a job going the extra mile to ensure customer satisfaction. John Russo was an excellent host to my first full furniture buying experience. The most important thing to me was that he was not pushy, not over bearing and was super laid back. He was super knowledgeable, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the inventory in the store. He also respected my budget and did everything possible to make it work. I don’t leave a lot of reviews but John really stood out and provided excellent service. This is not a quick nor easy process, but John made it a wonderful experience. I highly recommend him and this Ashley store if you’re looking for furniture in the Greenville area!
