Top notch sales and top notch comfort wrapped into one. She helped us pick out our bed a few years ago and this Christmas we added the pillows to match. She helped us pick out one for my husband and one for me that would suit our individual needs. I slept so good I almost didn’t hear my baby wake up.

Great experience. I went to two other furniture stores, and they didn’t have what I was looking for. I went to Ashley, and found it. As soon as I walked in I was greeted, and helped right away. I told the sales associate the specific color living room set I wanted, and the first set that she directed me to was what I wanted. The entire process was quick and easy. Decided on what I wanted, paid, and was out in no time. Will definitely shop again!

Best and easiest furniture shopping experience. James made the entire process extremely painless and go seamlessly. We have followed James from previous furniture stores and will only work with him because of his amazing customer service. We look forward to return to Ashley Furniture for the remainder of our furniture needs in the near future.

They gave us a really good deal which I am extremely happy about. I sent my father to pick up the stuff and they did not give us everything. My wife went in the next day and asked about it. They argued with her saying they gave us the items when I was on a video call and the items were not there. I took everything out of the room and brought everything upstairs and the moment I tried to assemble my new furniture I noticed I couldn’t put it together because two main pieces were missing. The younger guy in the warehouse then continued argue with my wife calling my father a migo not in a rude way, but very disrespectful in my opinion. When my wife said that it’s my father in law he then apologized. We do live 45min away and it was a waste a time for us to make a second trip.

VERY disappointing & sleezy sales tactics... In the first picture you can see where it states "price is as shown on the floor". Not just misleading- an outright LIE. It's for a much smaller configuration than the one shown in the second picture (what IS shown on the floor). Only for a salesperson to come price it out for you and then they "DiScOvEr" that its not actually being sold for that price. Then they'll attempt to use their "newfound" wiggle room power that they didnt have 5 minutes earlier to lower it a couple hundred dollars by removing warranties, etc, and still not getting it down anywhere near what is advertised for. This was the case on several others as well! Really not cool with this manipulative behavior to make a sale!

I was traveling overseas and needed help to purchase a new dining room set for a dear friend. I got in touch with a associate named Matt and he walked me through the entire process. The next day l was anxious about the delivery date and reached out to him to me and settled my mind. A big shout out to his awesome customer service. Thanks Matt

I ordered a couch, bed frame, and nightstand from Ashley Furniture at this location back in August, and it’s now been over two months without receiving any of the items. The delivery was repeatedly delayed, and when we called to get an explanation , we were told we’d receive a partial refund, which barely covered half of the delivery costs— but that never happened. After canceling the order, we were promised a full refund within 48 hours, but that call never came. We even visited the store in person to try and resolve the issue, and once again, the staff dropped the ball. The manager, James, was unhelpful and unapologetic. Instead of taking ownership or offering any real solution, he told us they “needed another day” and then pretty much walked away from us. His only suggestion was that we could “go look at the clearance section if you want something today,” which was completely unacceptable considering the situation. We also expressed our frustration about not having our merchandise for over two months and explained that we just wanted a refund so we could purchase furniture from somewhere else. But now, we’re still waiting for that refund, leaving our hands completely tied. Once again, James provided minimal accountability and showed little to no concern for resolving the issue or making things right. The communication throughout this entire process has been extremely poor, and the management has shown a complete lack of accountability or concern for customer satisfaction. We’ve now waited weeks for a resolution and are still left without our merchandise or refund. I can honestly say I will never shop at Ashley Furniture again, and I will absolutely be telling everyone I know about my experience at this location and how horrible the service, accountability, and management have been. As someone who’s been a manager in the retail industry for over 15 years, I would be extremely concerned that this is how business is handled at a store, and that these are the type of employees and managers that are responsible for handling customer issues in solving problems. I strongly advise caution if considering shopping at this location.

Horrible customer service from the North Charleston store. Especially Savanah, a so called customer service employee. They will not go out of their way to help or try to figure out a problem. I don’t understand that concept when a person can go anywhere else for furniture. It boggles the mind. Now I have to go to Lowe’s to get a tool to put my furniture together myself. What a poor excuse for a business. People, go elsewhere!

The employees are kind and the products are high quality. Ask for a discount mattress if you need one same day. Thanks for being so helpful, Ashley Team. I will definitely be visiting again in the future.

My husband and I had such a great experience purchasing our new sofa. From start to finish everything went smoothly. Our sales rep James was absolutely amazing, so helpful, patient, and made sure we got exactly what we wanted at the best deal. The delivery team, Dawson and Mike, were just as wonderful. They showed up right on time, were professional and friendly, and handled everything with such care. They made the setup quick and easy and the sofa looks perfect in our home. Thank you to the entire team for making this such an easy and enjoyable experience. We could not be happier with our new sofa and the top notch service we received.

I cannot express how angry, disappointed and dissatisfied we are with our recent purchase.Having had our couch for less then a year, it is falling apart and non functional. 2 of the 3 power recliners don't work at all, and the third is choppy and on the verge of failing. A tech was sent out over a month ago, who found broken wood and missing screws. His words" whoever put this together doesn't know what they are doing* He " fixed " it with screws and glue. Really? Not a new part? And now, after over a month, no fix as yet, no new couch and ZERO communication from either store, or corporate. At this point I want a new, better couch..or our money back. Absolutely terrible customer service.

Some of furniture seems to be overpriced

I recently had a very good furniture buying experience at Ashley Home Store at the North Charleston store. My sales woman, Jordan Austria was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the items I purchased. I had a couple of requests about ordering and delivery which were taken care of without complications. My furniture arrived today as scheduled. I highly recommend Ashley Furniture but only if you ask for Jordan Austria! Tell her Kay sent you 🙂

great furniture store shopping experience

Customer service is horrible. I waited 3 months for a broken part of my 1 month old bed to be sent. When it arrived I was told someone would be in touch within 72 hours to make an appointment for them to come fix the bed. 9 days later no call yet. I spent over $10K on furniture for my new house at the Ashley store now I wish I went elsewhere.

If you live outside the city and pay to have furniture delivered to your home, don't do it. They're very particular about the men's behavior, because they don't want to get dirty with mud. They got angry, loaded the furniture up, and left. 😡 Very bad experience with this store. I regret having bought my furniture there.

I’ve bought multiple pieces from Ashley my biggest complaint is if you want to have your furniture delivered plan to free up your work schedule. The availability for delivery has no flexibility to receive your furniture in a timely manner. I find it ridiculous that a company that you spend thousands at can’t accommodate deliveries. Don’t know to many people that can free up weeks of time to receive furniture delivery. Huge inconvenience to your customers get it together!

My husband and I recently went shopping at the North Charleston, SC store where it could not have gone smoother. Upon arrival Jordan Austria greeted us in a professional and friendly manner. I showed her my list of furniture requirements and she proceeded to guide us through the showroom . That woman knows her inventory and before long, we had checked off every item. I felt as though we had our very own personal shopper and we did. Thank you Jordan for making our shopping experience a very pleasant and productive one. If we have furniture needs in the future, we know exactly who to see at Ashley Furniture.

Andrea in sales worked with me to plan for an entire house of furniture. There was no pressure, just pleasant support and guidance as I pieced together my purchase room by room over three visits. She followed up as needed throughout the purchase process. The wonderful delivery team was here most of the day to set everything up. They were very courteous and cleaned up all the packing materials before leaving. I am pleased with their customer service.

Slow service

When we moved to the Charleston area, we went to Ashley furniture and purchased many items. We worked with the store manager, Abby and she was absolutely wonderful. Her communication with us was excellent through the whole process. And we love everything that we have purchased.

I haven't even had my sectional for a year and zipper on the cushion broke the first week I recieved it and the arm rest on the chase has thinned out so bad a hole is now there. I paid for the extended warranty, DO NOT purchase the extended warranty, it is a SCAM. Called about my problems and was told seeing how I did not call the day it happened they will not cover it, and I will have to contact the store to purchase a new chase and cushion.

Andrea was fantastic! She took an extensive amount of time to make sure that we walked out with exactly what we wanted and made us knowledgeable about all purchasing details. Highly recommend this store and Andrea!

Ashley Furniture exceeded our expectations with quality products and outstanding service. We are thoroughly enjoying the furniture that has been delivered, and we are anxiously awaiting the final items. Heather facilitated our excellent experience at Ashley Furniture. She allowed us to peruse the store at our own pace and focus on our choices while she kept track of our items as we added and deleted them. She was very, very pleasant throughout the experience. Our first visit lasted for hours, and she never once rushed us but encouraged us to take our time. We even had to take a break to eat, and she encouraged us to relax and not worry. We moved from Long Island NY to Summerville SC last Sep 23 to our retirement home. We came here with just about nothing for the house. Knowing Ashley store from NY we decided to look into your store for all our needs for the new home. We were greeted by Abby at the door and within minutes we realized that we were dealing with the right consultant .We spent about two hours and Abby guided us through the entire store selecting the entire furniture needed for our new home in Summerville. There was no selling pressure from Abby ,instead a lot of patience and giving ideas of what we needed. We bought bedrooms, living room, dining room furniture and carpets. Also all the mattresses . After we settled in we went back and bought more carpets. We know that we have someone in your store that respects the customer and knows her products .Our friends from New York just moved to Summerville and they also used Abby for their needs and are very pleased. Abby is a big asset for your store and we are so happy to meet her. We will always come back in the future for our needs and always refer Abby to our friends. Respectfully, Alex and Brenda

I was wanting an extra wide recliner, and while searching the internet, I came across this particular recliner that might be what I was looking for. I went to Askley Furniture Store in North Charleston, SC and I was met as I entered the store by Andrea M., a Sales Associate. I introduced myself, as she did to me, and I proceeded to tell her what I was shopping for in a recliner. As we talk, both of us found out, both of us had a lot in come. We were from the same state, Ohio, the same town in Ohio, Hamilton, and had graduated from the same High School in Fairfield, Ohio. Of course, in different years! Andrea, right away, went to work in showing me the different Recliners that Ashley Furniture Store had to offer, via their wide screen TV display. After looking at the TV display, Andrea proceeded to show me around the store of what they had on floor display. She showed me different items as a possible substitute item. Seeing what was in store on display, we went back to the big screen display and pulled up again, the recliner I had originally saw and showed Andrea that I thought I wanted. I told Andrea, I needed to go home and give it some more thought and asked if she was working the next day. She was, so I made an appointment to see her on her next day at work. We meet, got down to business, and within a short time after Andrea explained the process of writing up the article, that she would turn me over to the finance ordering department and get it finalized. It didn't that long at all, before I was met by Andrea as I was signing the last form to escort back through the store and to see if she could help me with anything else. She gave me her business card and stated that she would be in touch about information that pertained to my order. I thanked her for her outstanding customer service and left the store. I wish, I could have the same customer service I received at this Ashley Furniture Store, every time I went to buy something! Great customer service from one of their Sales Associate! FINAL UPDATE: My bank told me to open a dispute. Ashley refunded me the money like two days after this. My bank has also credited me, so now everything is messed up. All in all I have spent about 10 hours on the phone with my bank all because Ashley Furniture. UPDATE: The CANCELLED my refund!!! So now I am waiting to call the store so I can figure out when I am going to get a refund on my money At first this would have been a 5 star review, now it is a 1 star! Here is why: We came here about 3 1/2 weeks ago looking for a power rocking recliner and a love seat. We were probably one of the easiest sales you can get. We didn't try to haggle the price, paid in full no financing needed, we didn't say "we need to leave and think about it" or "we found one cheaper here". We found what my soon be mother in law would need for her ankle surgery on 10/16. I made sure to ask Jordan (who was our sales person) to make sure it would come in by 10/16. We ordered on 9/25. She said it took 2-3 weeks for delivery to us. She assured me it would be there by then, and even made a note of it on her paperwork and said she would follow up on it to be sure. We also witnessed her physically write it on HER paperwork. Fast forward to Sunday 10/13. We haven't heard anything about delivery and wanted to see what day it would be because 10/16 was before the 2-3 weeks plus her saying it would definitely be in. It was a couple days away. I called, they actually put Jordan on the phone not just anyone, I was expecting a customer service rep. She told me she didn't like to check on Sundays because it wasn't 100% accurate. Apparently it wasn't even supposed to ship until 10/22 which almost a month later. But she said she was sure it was going to ship before then. I then told her we needed it by 10/16 because of her surgery. Jordan then proceeded to tell me that she had no idea of this and if she "would have known." I then stopped her there and directly stated very very very nicely we wouldn't have ordered for one, and two she wrote it down on here paper too. Again I was very polite and not rude at all. There was a pause and then she basically forced apologized and wanted to talk to her manager Monday to see what they could do. Monday I got the call and they could do nothing other than sale the floor display of the other one she liked and we looked at? We never look at another or even entertained another one because it didn't come in electric? They did say they would 100% refund me. I had to wait a day on the process on their side. I didn't want to talk to Jordan anymore, so asked if someone else could finish the refund process. The manager ended up calling, she seemed nice but from my recollection there was NO apology. I am still waiting on the refund to come back into my account. I paid immediately to them, no financing needed. They have nice quality furniture because I have family who have ordered from them up north and have had no issues. We do prefer Big Sandy Superstore which is mostly (West Virginia, Ohio, Kentucky area.) I would absolutely not recommend this one if you want something in when it's promised. We thankfully were able to go somewhere else and find one on 10/17 a day after her ankle surgery. We had to go to about 6 different ones to buy same day. ** Also Just for the record I don't like to name people in my reviews unless it's good, because I wouldn't want a negative review with my name. But to sit there and say we basically should have told her, with no apology beforehand, then after being told we did and she wrote it down I got a half hearted apology. That's just unprofessional in my opinion and I don't appreciate it. Especially when we were probably the easiest sale you'll ever have and you knew we needed it. I am also still waiting on the refund. Regardless I am very disappointed in this furniture store and I do feel this should be taken a little more seriously. I do have a lot of reviews on my Google Maps (level 8) so hopefully other will think about this as credible and I hope others don't have this experience!

Laya greeted us warmly at the door and didn’t pressure us at all and made us feel at ease about buying a bedroom set here. She even led us to the side of the store where the colors we requested were. She led us through each and every piece of paperwork and made it easy to understand. She offered us discounts without us even asking which was so kind of her. We would recommend her to anyone shopping here for their furniture!

Andrea has been phenomenal!!!!! Kind and patient. She took the time to answer all our questions about the bedroom set we were considering purchasing for our daughter; Andrea followed up when she said she would on a timely basis. Andrea also helped by recommending a vanity with one she purchased for her daughter.

We walked in the store and Andrea was immediately there to get an idea of what we were looking for. She saw that we wanted to browse by ourselves first and pointed us in the right direction towards couches in our style. We browsed and she came up to answer our questions and even helped us figure out what kind of fit we needed for our space- she helped us get our tape measures and everything. She was such a joy to work with and the process was super easy and straightforward. While waiting for our couch to arrive (it took a few months) Andrea would text to check in and give us updates. She really went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and stayed excited about our purchase. Once the delivery occurred (the guys were quick at delivery and set up and super nice) Andrea texted to confirm everything was set up and looked the way we wanted it to. We would 100% recommend Ashley Furniture (also Andrea) and will definitely be using them again for our home furnishing needs!

We purchased furniture back in December from this store. Everything has been good since the sale, but the 3 star review is for two reasons in particular. My wife and I went to one of the Ashley stores in Columbia a few weeks before visiting this store. We already had the approval for financing and basically just needed to pick out what we wanted as we got closer to our move in date. This store was closer to us, so it was an easier drive and delivery wouldn’t be as much. We got off work and came in to the store Friday night about an hour and a half to two hours before closing. Not a lot of time to do the whole process, but we wanted to know what we were looking at before making the big decisions all at one time. Everything was going good until it got close to closing time. I know the employees are ready to knock off, but the manager was radioing in to our sales rep telling her to basically get us to leave and started shutting down the lights while we were still in the store. Again, we had the approval and were ready to purchase a full house worth of furniture. So we were kind of pushed out as a ready to buy customer. Luckily enough for them, we decided to come back the next day to close the sale instead of going back to Columbia where we weren’t rushed at all. So we got back with our sales rep, Aly, and she made the additional trip worth it on the sales side. She knew what she was talking about with the product, sales, etc. she didn’t push us into anything we didn’t want and answered all of our questions. The second reason is when it came to pricing/quotes. Aly made a comment about how they don’t have tablets, etc to be able to run quick quotes on so we could have an idea of what all the price tags were/ are final estimated total before sitting down to sign the papers, so we were handwriting everything out, which got pretty confusing due to the amount of furniture we were buying as well as different financing promotions that some products could and couldn’t be on. I run a small business myself and we at least have an excel document that I can print off within a few minutes that shows you a pretty accurate out the door total on whatever you’re purchasing, whether it’s one unit or 10. So the confusion and messiness of the paperwork on the stores part took away the second star. Thankfully I was able to work it out and understand the totals, financing options, etc before signing so I had a full grasp of the totals, exactly what we were getting, etc. Other than that, we had a pretty good experience. I can say that I was pretty tired of looking at furniture by the time we wrapped up, but we are happy with what we got, and have used the heck out of our furniture since we got it! I would recommend coming here, but just keep in mind that it is a chain store, so going the extra mile is all up to the sales person you get and you need to make sure you understand your purchase and totals before signing the papers!

Alt poole with Ashley furniture is amazing. We came in a few months ago in need of a couch for a new home we are purchasing. We were picking out a couch that could be configured many ways but weren’t too sure exactly what configuration we needed. We changed our minds on her probably 10 times but she didn’t care. She was always happy to get us a price for whichever configuration we had in mind at the time. She was very professional and easy to get in contact with. Super responsive. In a world where it seems like good customer service is gone, Aly delivered some of the best customer service we’ve had in quite some time. I would be happy to do business with Aly and Ashley furniture again.

My couch is scheduled for delivery on 07/19, so this review is solely for the store and the service I received. I've never been to Ashley Furniture before, but it was time for a new couch. I asked for opinions from friends and many recommended Ashley. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted by Jessica. Great personality and said she'd let me look around and to ask her if I need anything. After a while, I found a couch I liked. Jessica was walking around about that time, and we talked about this couch. She got a quote for me, but I was still undecided at that point and left. A few hours later, I made up my mind that I wanted this particular couch, so I went back. By this time Jessica had already left for the day, and I was greeted by Aly. Great personality as well and very helpful. She took care of doing all the paperwork, and I got my couch on order! This is the first new couch I've bought in years, and both Jessica and Aly were a huge help in making my decision. Hoping the couch is as good as the service! :)

Went to the store today looking for a low priced table to seat 6. Was greeted by Aya and did a lap before we got to the tables. Aya was available when needed, answered our questions, and didn’t try to hard sell anything to us. The process was smooth and effortless. New table comes soon and we are thrilled. Thank you Aya!!!

If you want great customer service and a knowledgeable product specialist with years of experience see Jessica Seino at the North Charleston store in SC. She was patient, kind and energetic. She was there to assist but not pushy or “ hovering”. She gave us several financing options and stayed late to insure we were satisfied with our purchase. This was not the only Ashley Store we visited but the only one from now on I will shop. Thank you again Jessica!!

I bought a couch from Ashley and it is GARBAGE. Shortly after the purchase we noticed the chair was lopsided. A tech came to fix it. But it still looks crooked. Today a bolt popped out and the top of the chair falls back into the wall leaving a GIANT dent in it. I called and because the warranty is up there is nothing they can do. I will NEVER purchase another piece of furniture from this company again. Horrible quality and even worse customer care. REPLY: Didn't see an option to reply so I'm replying here. You don't see a sale under this name because the sale was under my maiden name. I wrote this review AFTER calling about this issue. The woman I spoke to said I would need to pay for the repair. I'm not willing to pay another penny. A couch shouldn't be falling apart 4 years later.

Very poor customer service, lack of communication, accountability, and low quality furniture. First off, the sales person Elise, at the North Charleston location lied and told me that the floor display was part of the bedroom set that I ordered.. when the furniture was delivered to my home, the chess wasn't included.. so I had to order a chess separately even after Elise told me and my husband that it was part of the set on the sales floor. Then, I spoke to the store manager who says, I don't see the display with all 5 pieces on the floor. Miraculously, someone moved the display after I called and complained about it.. I have a picture of the display. I currently have the bedroom set with all the pieces and I'm having issues with the dresser, they replaced it with another dresser, but it's not functional. This dresser is suppose to be brand new but two drawers are broken. There was no quality check before bringing the dresser to my home. Now they are saying I have to wait 2 months for them to order the parts to fix the dresser. There's a major lack of communication and accountability between the store, customer care, and the distribution center. Daniella and her manager aren't helpful. All they do is pass the blame on someone else. I've had 3 technicians at my house for a minor issue and I still can't use my dresser. That's a total of 3 months waiting to use my dresser lol.. As of today, they said I will have my parts on Saturday. I have no faith in them what so ever! I am beyond upset with this company and will not use them again or recommend anyone that I care about to use them!

Have had a good experience both times we've shopped here. Tons setting out on display to tryout. A little h8gh priced on some products but seems like good quality.

We ordered several pieces of furniture just before the Pandemic arrived and subsequently waited for many months for all the furniture to arrive. If the delays would have been communicated to us; I probably could have been more understanding. The lack of communication and then further inflexibility was disappointing; however being able to recoup the $ paid for a non used protection plan will make me happy!

Was told by sales person and customer service that I could exchange my “90 day” sleep guarantee as many times as needed to find a mattress. Not only was that a lie they charged me restocking and delivery fees on top of their lies. The store admitted I was told this twice but won’t honor or make anything right.

Our furniture from here didn’t even last three years

We absolutely loved Aly! Not only her personality but her commitment to providing her customers with the best price makes her stand out as one of my all time favorite sales reps! The cashier is another story altogether and if not for Aly having made the rest of this purchase a breeze we probably would have walked away. We took a star away solely for this reason. We only learned during the payment process that the checking accounts we were attempting to make a payment from have a 2,500 dollar purchase limit. Instead of being clear and knowledgeable about what was a simple situation she was scatter brained, at one point saying my transaction went through while my husband's didn't (we split it). The last thing someone spending 9,000 dollars wants to hear is I guess, and maybe. I'm pretty sure you knew we were annoyed with you when you thanked us for our patience, that felt a little condescending to us both. Train your people to know what simple terms mean when making transactions, and how to explain things of that nature with some clarity. We were able to pay the difference with different cards but we left fairly annoyed with what was supposed to be an exciting purchase for our new home. Bought a recliner rocker from Theresa at N Chas store. She was so sweet & patient with me. I looked at every chair in the store & couldn’t decide what I wanted. Very dissapointed to say the least. Sat down a week before making the final move with AK who advised items I was purchasing were in stock with the exception of one of the living room sets. Decided to follow up after a week and half of not hearing from them at which point I was told that it would be 6 to 8 weeks for items to be available. Not a good experience to put my family through. 15k later we are sitting on beach chairs and sleeping on air mattresses. No such thing as an honest business man these days. ********************************* 4-1-24 Quick follow up to prior review. Still waiting on multiple items. Received damaged furniture and after third delivery this past Saturday still had to decline delivery of replacements as they were damaged as well. Must say the staff has tried to make this one as comfortable as possible but at the end of the day we are 5 weeks into this fiasco and still waiting on items that were supposed to be in stock. If you are planning on buying from this company be mindful that they cover themselves with the paperwork telling you that there is a 20% restock even after their sales person lies to you about items in stock and you are then stuck. They then leave it to the staff to deal with the issues at hand at the expense of the dishonest sales person. Place is like a car dealer. Just look at when you go in there and how they approach you and you will realize that it is the same car dealer mentality. ****************************************** 4-9-24 New Date Folks... We are now looking at a May date on material that was supposed to be here in April. Do not buy from this place. You are better off ordering from Ikea or Rooms To Go instead of dealing with these ridiculous lead times and this unreliable company. They order from Indonesia and hold you hostage with the 20% cancellation Fee until they get the stuff months later. From April it has now changed to May. Buyer Beware!

After a bit we were a little overwhelmed with options so we asked Aly to help us find a very specific living room set. Aly was SOOO patient and answered all of our questions. She even included our 9 year old in the process which was amazing. For every set we were interested in, she gave us the breakdown of cost and helped us find the perfect set to fit our budget. I was buying furniture from a competitor of Ashley Home Store. The competitor sent me an email stating I need to verify it was me buying the furniture. They immediately started asking for personal information (date of birth, social security number, etc…) I told them that I would not give that information over the phone. After they hung up on me they canceled my order. I decided I wouldn’t buy from them. I called the Ashley Home Store in North Charleston, SC where I was connect to a sales associate. This sales associate stayed on the phone with me for almost an hour to get the furniture I wanted. She provided all the details and secured my purchase. My sister and I had a wonderful experience at Ashley furniture store near the outlets outside of Charleston. We were not rushed and when we needed help, Steve Mitchell Senior Sales Associate was a great help. Not only to give us the best price but ensured a pretty quick delivery.

My wife and I were on the fence about purchasing a new bedroom set. We found a set we liked but still had not made up our mind. Aly assisted us and we were impressed with her knowledge, professionalism and pleasant demeanor. She worked hard to give us a great price so we went ahead and purchased it. All in all, she made it a wonderful experience!

I haven't shopped for furniture in a long time. Steve was the salesman that assisted me with my purchase. He greeted me at the door. We purchased a $10,000 sectional from the store. Had several delivery issues due to an employee’s error. After those issues were resolved after several phone calls and issues back in November we get a phone call today, January 14th, 2023 where they failed to include the $800 for our extended protection when they finalized everything with financing and they now want to charge us $800 extra dollars months later. We were told we either have to come up with the money or they were cancelling our protection plan and they cancelled it on the spot. This was their error as original paperwork we signed for the protection plan therefore we should not be responsible for yet another error out of this employee and should still have our protection plan. I will NEVER use this company again as this is the second time we’ve purchased furniture here and the second time we have had an issue.

Money down the drain and extremely disappointed in the resolution and customer service. Would not recommend.

Very nice staff and clean store

We came to Ashley's after waiting 6 months for a bedroom set from rooms to go, only for it to be delayed a couple of months so we canceled that order. Abby helped us choose a new bedroom set and we needed it before October since we are moving across the country. We received our beautiful bedroom set in the promised time and Abby personally kept us updated via text messages. We had a small issue with the knobs on the dresser but Abby once again helped us and gave us the ones in the store since the delivery time of the knobs was unknown. I would highly recommend this store and I want to give a huge shout out to Abby! You don't get great customer service like this often. Thank you for everything!

Aly was phenomenal! I had been browsing online and in stores for weeks, and wow, she made me feel so welcome that I walked out with a brand new couch on the way to my doorstep! She took the time to take me through all of my options, and was extremely knowledgeable about all the products on the floor. What I most appreciated was that I felt no pressure to purchase, yet her presence and ease encouraged me to make a great decision on the Ballina sofa that I will have for years to come. I was able to sign all my paperwork in the comfort of my home, and she communicated and helped me through every step. I have not experienced excellent customer service like that in quite some time. Like a lot of reviews you're going to read here, be aware of the waiting time. If you need your items anytime soon, then go look elsewhere. All of my items were ordered in November 2021 and delivered the last one in July 2022. They seem to have an acceptable quality, time will tell, but the reason of my 3 stars review is something as simple as the hardware provided to assemble the furnitures: the quality is so bad and cheap that most of the fasteners with little effort were stripped, it'll put your patience to the extreme...!

I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! I ordered my living room sets in May of 2021, set the delivery date in July but didn’t get in until September 2021 and GUESS WHAT! Only sofa and loveseat came in and until this day as I write this review NO coffee set yet! It’s been more than a year now since I ordered it, they said it was pushed back mid July, will see! I will not order anymore furnitures in this place!!!

Very disappointed, we made sure everything we bought from them was actually in stock but guess what it doesn’t mean anything to them. Still waiting for our outdoor furniture and was told today that I just need to wait my turn. Will never do business with them again. They just lie to your face and on the phone, it’s not ok. They really do not care about their clients. It took over 20 phone calls for me to get my living room furniture delivered and they tried to make me feel that I was the problem. I just want my outdoor furniture now and forget about them. I don’t live my life this way.

Purchased a sectional from them about 4 years ago. Everything was great until after I tried to claim the 500 dollar credit for the protection plan. They told me I could use it at other locations, but when I called they said I can only use it at certain locations only. They told me when I purchased it that I could use it at other places, but of course when it time to claim then the real truth comes. I guess they don't want return business.

What a terrible and dishonest experience, I will NEVER shop here again! I went to Ashley home store of Mt. Pleasant after moving to the area. I advised the salesman, Pete, that I needed my furniture ASAP as I was sleeping on an air mattress. When selecting my furniture I was reassured that my selections were available/ in the warehouse ready to be delivered( I purposely left out items that did not have in stock status) so I could get them as soon as possible. Ashley delivered my couch and dresser BUT the item that I needed most and was promised would come within a week and was in stock/ ready to ship is not here. MY MATTRESS! My order was placed on May 15 and today is May 25. I am told that it will be another week before I have the mattress. I was clearly lied to. In a world where there are many places to purchase furniture DO NOT put spent your money here.

Do not purchase anything from Ashely. I have been waiting for my full bedroom set furniture which I paid in full in March . Was promised a April delivery and then May delivery now they cannot guarantee it will be in stock by June 2022.

We have been waiting 10 months for our furniture, we’re now just informed it will be over a year from our order date. When you ask the store for Corporates number they refuse to give it to you! I spent 6000+ and will never recommend them or shop them again. Who waits over a year for furniture! If I could give a zero I would!

Do not purchase anything from Ashely...I have been waiting for my furniture which I paid in full in November. Was promised a January delivery and then a March delivery now they cannot guarantee it will be ins stock by Easter 2022. Mind you I paid in full at the time of my order. They gladly took my money, didn't wait until Easter to debit my account. Willing to give me my money back in 7 working days, but no interest. Rooms to go has a much nicer inventory, can deliver almost immediately . Each manager I speak with makes new promises.... what a bunch of poor slobs! They don't even know what the left hand is doing.

Lamar and Quan did a great job delivering our furniture. Set up was fast and they removed all the packaging and debris.

Utterly disappointed with the lack of communication, concern, and work ethic of this location. We worked with Lonnie. We spent 10k. We made sure Lonnie got the commission since we originally worked with him when coming in the first time and pricing everything out. We have been waiting for furniture since September. The only thing we have received is our sectional. We are missing 2 dining room tables & a guest room furniture set. The delays are not what concern is. We know Covid is causing a lot of delays. What disappoints us the most if the lack of communication not only by Lonnie, but also the store in general. We have called every time to get an update on our order. We were supposed to receive everything but beginning of January. We called and were told it would now be end of January for guest room furniture, middle of February for one table & all chairs & beginning of April for our last table. The manager we spoke to beginning of January was very understanding. She also expressed her frustrations with the lack of communication on her teams part. She assured us Lonnie would keep up with it and took $400 off. She said if there were any more delays we would be compensated again. We heard from Lonnie a few weeks later via text to let us know the dates were still the same. I then texted Lonnie the last week of January ensure it was still the same since we needed to make arrangements for delivery, etc. NO RESPONSE. January 31st we call again because obviously our furniture is not on time and nobody othered to tell us. This manager was rude, talked over us, and didn’t even pull up our account until after 5 minutes into the conversation. She was giving us generic responses without even knowing it specific experience. She eventually HUNG UP ON US. We will be calling corporate to file an official complaint. I work in a commission based field. I know the importance of making sure the one who did the works gets the credit & money. Lonnie dropped the ball. He took his commission with our 10k purchase and ran away with it without bothering to check in with us or our order until pressured by his manager and then dropped the ball AGAIN. Whoever this manager is that hung up on costumers paying 10k to your store, shame on you. We repeatedly told you Covid delays are not in your control, but lack of communication is. You refused to acknowledge any wrong doing. Asked us if we wanted to cancel our order after waiting MONTHS for it & then just hung up. Its clear Ashley Furniture doesn’t need our business.

This is the second time that I buy in this store, because they have an excellent and good product compared to what we have here in Charleston SC. But they have a very big problem with the sellers, in the two times that I bought, both times they send me the wrong products, after waiting the time they have to wait. This last one I asked for a bed with some specifications and they sold me the opposite of what I asked for. Vendors have no idea what they are selling or the products as they are sold.

Lonny and Beverly spent so much time with me as I tried to put together a bedroom set. I didn’t want a complete set, I wanted to piece together different furniture. They helped me “design” a fantastic look! I wasn’t rushed, wasn’t pushed and they walked me through every step. And they are friendliest people. Being new to the area, Lonny was sweet to give me great Charleston tips and even said to call him if I had any questions about Lowcountry! Both are great at their jobs and I was so comfortable working with them! I look forward to going to the new Ashley store in Mt. Pleasant and working with Beverly to decorate more of my new house!

Let me start of with saying sales team and delivery were amazing they deserve 5 stars but the scheduling department needs to learn how to listen and do the their job I ordered a 5 piece sectional and a full bedroom set everything in it 2 night stands chest dresser and bed frame and head board along with a mattress the mattress was the first thing to arrive at the store they called said it was there I said great thank you can we wait to deliver it with the bedroom furniture they said sure no problem we’ll make a note then the sectional arrives they call up say do you want the mattress again I say can we wait for the bedroom furniture they say sure no problem I’ll make a note then I call a few weeks after the sectional comes to get an update on the bedroom furniture they say it’ll be in mid-end of December we have the mattress do you want that delivered now I say no can it wait for the bedroom furniture to arrive they say sure no problem I’ll make a note they call a few days ago saying everything has arrived after three months of waiting i say awesome I’ll take it asap with the mattress they say ok Thursday the 30th it’ll be there I’ll make a note for the mattress to be delivered then as well today they dropped off everything and at the end when they’re wrapping everything they say do you already have a mattress I say no it should’ve been delivered today with this set they did not have it on the list so now I have a whole bedroom set with no mattress just moved in been waiting three months to sleep comfortably was so excited to finally get a good night rest and it never came after them telling me they made not 1 not 2 but 4 notes to bring my mattress today and now I have to call in the morning to try and figure out some way to pick up tomorrow because they said the next available day to get furniture delivered to my area is a week away so moral of the store if you’re getting things delivered make sure you call the days prior to make sure they actually listen to you

Jessica Seino was the first to greet us on entry and checked on us while we were looking, she didn't hover or push, she made me want to go back there in the future. We do plenty of one time buys but I will be going back bc of her. She was SO polite, knowledgeable, and helped us find what we were looking for. I found her after we decided and I'm glad I did bc they get paid commission as most sales jobs do, she helped us with estimates of arrival to narrow down to our purchase. This girl needs to be a manager, I am a former store manager and I would have killed to have an employee like her. Keep killin it on the sales floor Jessica. (We bought the Yandel power lift recliner). See you next time, I'll be coming to you when we get the heat and massage recliner for me! 😁

Moved down to South Carolina September 2021, bought things from Ashley’s which was pleasant and dealt with Brittany and Bobbi Joe for multiple items they were my favorite part of shopping at Ashley’s in North Charleston, but the 3rd party company that delivers was not so pleasant and when they deliver any items they are the face of the Ashley’s company at that time, I came to Ashley’s and spoke to a manager and they took care of me and my family when we bought more furniture. I am so grateful for North Charleston Ashley’s and I will continue to buy from Ashley’s Furniture in North Charleston. Where I feel like I am family and feel comfortable buying furniture.

ordered in early september, was guaranteed delivery for november. 5 days before delivery they tell me its not available and reschedule to FEBRUARY. they're telling me the reason is bc the manufacturer does not have the items. Whats to stop them from doing this again in february. when i try to chat no one has access to my account to assist. anytime i try to call, call volumes are over hour long waits, you wait and then they are closed. ridiculous. im done with this company.

Worst service I have ever received. Purchased a bed and frame that were in stock at the time. Was told I would get contacted in within 3 days. When the "3 days" came, I called at the end of the day to be told they will contact me sometime the following week to schedule delivery. Two weeks later and after multiple calls with no reponse/failure to call back they FINALLY tell me the bed I purchased is out of stock. Told them I wanted a refund, was told I'd be contacted by the financial department that day but over a WEEK later I finally went into the store, they had never processed my refund. Don't expect any follow up or customer service the second you leave the store.

Bobbi Jo just helped us find the perfect set in one trip when we thought it would take at least three! And we were picky too- had to be a certain kind of recliner with a certain kind of fabric and we had to find a chaise-ish kind of piece to go with it. Nightmare scenario made into a dream with the help of a super-knowledgable sorceress of sofas. I'm excited to get it in the house (in 10-20 wks, cuz...COVID and shipping hell). I might update this later based on the delivery experience but rt now I'm super happy with the sales side! 😊

I purchased a bedroom set on the 2nd of July and the date to receive it would be 6 weeks. When the 6 weeks were completed I just called to confirm the delivery and they said it had been delayed for 1 month. if I hadn't called I would never have known. I decided to cancel the purchase and it's been 8 days and I haven't been able to receive my money. they make up a lot of excuses and don't solve anything. even getting the money back takes time.

The store gave us an estimated time of 5-7 weeks that our furniture would get here but they keep delaying our delivery a month out. It has now been 4 months and it just got delayed again so I have no idea when it will arrive. I tried to call to see if it would actually come this month and they basically told me that it may. Awful customer service when calling, they just wanted to get me off the phone. If they could give me a legitimate date of when they expect my bed to come, even if it was later that would be great cause I could plan but I have no idea when it will actually get here. Had to go out and buy a used bed while we wait for this one. Never using this store again and I will never point anyone to it.

Purchased bedroom furniture on April 29th, 2021 and have been given 5 separate proposed delivery dates to the warehouse and as each day approaches they delay it again. We understand delays in the times we live it with the global issues the pandemic has brought about. After many calls to the stores they can not give us any firm information that may lead to a resolution. I would caution anyone from buying anything from Ashley Furniture unless it is already in their warehouse.

So I first called Ashley and got Jessica as my salesperson. She was friendly knowledgeable and answered all of my questions. When arriving at the store I let them know I was here to see Jessica. Within two minutes she greeted us and showed me the sectional I was interested in and gave prices on others. I purchased on and decided quickly I had made the wrong choice. When I came back she was still just as wonderful and patient. I am a sales person and don’t know if I would have.l been. What an incredible experience during such stressful times. Jessica is the best. Thanks for the incredible experience and I will be back to do business in the future. I purchased a living room set. When it was delivered there was a tiny spot of dirt on the sofa. I cleaned it myself and it was fine. 3 months later I got a call that my new sofa was in. They had ordered a new sofa for me! I told them that I really appreciated the great customer service but I was fine with the one I had.

Bought a sectional couch it took half a year to receive it. With covid we understood the circumstances. Finally when we received it by a couple who brought it from Georgia...not sure why when it was supposedly made in N.Y. Well both ends of the sectional was busted and I mean bad too.They wanted to just give us a discount instead of returning it. Will never do business with them again. Save your money and buy quality.

Lonnie was very knowledgeable about all of our needs. He walked the store with us to talk about the furniture with us that we were looking for. He went over every discount they could offer. He went over the finance with us. He never rushed us. Great experience all around. I got my new office desk and matching book shelf. I am disabled so I can't sit or stand for long so they had a few desk that part of it goes up and down for my needs. It doesn't take a lot of physical strength to make that part of the desk go up and down. Great salesman and great heavy, sturdy furniture.

Yes lots of employees in the store and greetings from them at the door. But there is no motivation at all to help the customer. Stock is not kept here and we were advised a 6 week wait to get furniture.

I don't know where all these other reviews giving 5 stars. But my experience with this company is not good. I have to wait 3-5 months for some furniture. Then not giving me an exact date. Telling me mid as if "mid" was a date on the calendar.

I called the Ashley Home Store in North Charleston to get some prices on some furniture that we saw over the weekend. I spoke to a store manager named Jessica ( I did not get her last name) She gave me an amazing price on a sofa, loveseat combination. I explained to her that I recently sold my house here in the area and was moving to western NC. She looked into it and let me know that this store would not be able to deliver the furniture. She provided me with a store that was closer to my new home. She also provided me with a quote from her store to make sure I would receive the great price that she had given me. In doing that she saved me HUNDREDS of dollars. I want to thank Jessica for an outstanding job in making sure that we were well taken care of. Ordered furniture told 3 to 5 weeks.. Its been over 7 weeks now and still no furniture. Were told two days ago it would be delivered today. We called this morning to get a time and were told we aren't on the sschedule and can't deliver till next Thursday.. Six more days.

We had a wonderful Ashley representative, Bonnie Jo Benjamin, who asked if we needed help, and then let us wander around while checking on us. The 3rd time she checked on us, my wife gave her a list of questions from her previous online research. Ms. Benjamin was knowledgeable and eventually gave us various ideas for decorating our new house with great insight after discovering what things we were going to put into our rooms. She also explained the qualities and the pricings of each item in great detail. Ms. Benjamin was very patient, espcially because we took a lot of time during our two visits, and changed our minds several times. I felt sorry for her because we are difficult shoppers. She kept her pleasant demeanor while giving us specific do's and don'ts that saved us time and energy "in the long run." When we finally made our decisions and went through the registering, ordering, and financial options, nothing "surprised" us because Ms. Benjamin had already given the various processes to us, including the expected arrivals of the things we purchased. We highly value Ms. Benjamin's expertise and thorough care for our inarticulate desires and needs. Good job, Ms. Benjamin!

I WISH I COULD GIVE 0 STARS!!! DO NOT PURCHASE FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE - ESPECIALLY THIS LOCATION! We have purchased a bedroom set, couch, and oversized chair from this place. We had placed a $7000+ order recently with them which has since been cancelled and in the process of being refunded because of the ridiculous time we have had dealing with this location and the Ashley Furniture Customer Care team. This past Sunday 4/25, we were getting in our current bed (the 2nd replacement bed in less than TWO YEARS) when it broke once again. We immediately decided that was the final straw with Ashley's. We attempted to call this store to speak with a manager and was given the go around by Ellen, the receptionist. When we asked to speak with a manager she just kept asking questions and asked if we had contacted their customer care line even though they weren't even open on Sundays. We got fed up and decided to go into the store. The following incident and how we were treated is where/why you should never give this location your business. Upon arriving at the store we were greeted by a gentleman named Steve who said he was a manager. Once we told him our reason for being there he immediately told us to go to the back for Customer Service. At this point while walking thru the store we could see all of the associates watching us walk back (the store should start training their employees on stop being so obvious when they're talking about customers over the radio). From there we arrived at the back and at that point is when we received two phone calls from the Operations Manager, Aaron, calling about the incident regarding our bed because Ellen had told him about the call. We live 30+ minutes away and know Aaron could've called at any point during that time but instead waited until we arrived in store to make it appear like he attempted to reach out prior to us arriving (he obviously didn't). Then we see Aly watching us, and she must've realized why we were there and she made it appear like she had run into us on accident. She immediately told us she would get their Operations Manager, Aaron, who from the very beginning we were told has so much power/can handle anything (this will come to not be true later on). Aaron took us to a corner of the store where there were no customers and we informed him about our prior experiences with getting a replacement and the fact that the bed itself was purchased less than two years ago. He obviously was trying to save the sale from our most recent purchase so he turned on the charm and was as nice, understanding, and compassionate as could be. This lasted up until the moment we told him 100% without doubt we would be cancelling. He kept telling us he would "compensate us for our time" and would personally guarantee that the delivery does not get messed up. After he was able to get us a temporary bed as we have visitors in town and needed a bed that day, he was ready to get us out the door and never once attempted to "compensate us for the time". I brought that point up to him in which he said he would take a look at what he could do, asked us how much we paid for the bed, and that he would be right back. He comes back that they can take $300 off but that's the most he could do without involving someone else. The same guy who had the Director on speed dial and could call the District guy with no problem is the same guy that heard our whole ordeal and said that $300 was equal to the trouble we have went through. Needless to say we cancelled the order, Aaron's nice guy persona he displayed instantly changed and we are now currently battling with customer care trying to get a new bed ordered. They are refusing to send a whole new bed because that is not their policy. At this point, I am ready to tell any one and everyone to NOT SHOP AT ASHLEY FURNITURE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!! It will cause you nothing but problems, headaches, and issues. We learned the hard way and regret every penny we have every given them but will not be making any more mistakes like that again.

Buying a mattress here turned into a giant headache. We went in several times looking at mattresses. It's a big purchase so we were doing research and trying to find one my husband and I both agreed on. We worked with the same salesperson, Michelle, each time. We finally ordered the mattress and went with the Ashley brand of adjustable base, did the warranty on everything and the mattress protector. Spent well over $5K. We were told at the time of purchase that it would be about 2 weeks, no later than 3 for delivery. Around week three, I texted Michelle asking if she had an update. She said she'd check on that for me but I never heard back. Finally, after 4.5 weeks we got a call that delivery was set up. The day of delivery, we received the wrong mattress. It was a lower grade model and the delivery men insisted we keep it until our new mattress came in. I saw that as a red flag and refused delivery. I immediately called and texted Michelle pictures of the wrong mattress. Her reply was that it would be rectified but offered no plan. I called the store & they first tried telling me that the correct mattress was delivered but had someone check the tag and they realized it wasn't. But no mention of fixing this or any apology. They just said they would look into it. The next day, my husband received an email receipt for delivery in which one of the delivery men forged his signature accepting the delivery. Once again, I immediately got on the phone, but at no time did anyone say they were trying to fix this for us. For two days we never heard back. My husband, who was frustrated at sleeping on the couch, called and asked for a refund. Instead of agreeing that they screwed up, they blamed Serta and said we'd have to wait. They were still trying to "figure it out". At this point, everyone knows that someone else probably got my mattress but that isn't our problem. Finally after speaking to several more people and getting a major run around (they wanted us to wait 6 weeks for another mattress delivery), they agreed to refund us. That following Monday we got a refund for the mattress but they did not refund delivery charges or the warranty we paid for on a mattress we don't own. It was an AWFUL experience and I am convinced the people running that store are incompetent. We will NEVER shop there again.

I came in today and was looking for some new furniture for our new place. Highly recommend this location the staff is so sweet and patient. If you go in there ask for Bobbi Jo, she was the sweetest with us today

The person taking care of us was Bobbie Jo. She has been great throughout the entire process. She updates me when my furniture is expected to be in then let's me know when it is there. With it taking a while to get furniture it is nice that she takes out the time to give me updates.

My fiancee and I bought a bedroom set back in March. Lonnie was awesome! He took time to walk us through everything and price match the set for the best price we could possibly get, on top of being very friendly and enjoyable to work with. We will absolutely get more furniture from here!

I normally hate going into furniture stores because I feel like I am followed the entire time and it makes me feel anxious and like I am not really able to shop for what I want without feeling pressured.
