While Brett was a pleasant salesperson to work with and we are happy with our purchase, this experience taught us an important lesson as consumers. You are far better protected when purchasing online than when buying in-store. Our item went on sale for $800 less within one week of delivery, and the store refused to honor the sale price. Had we purchased the exact same item online, we would have received a price adjustment if it went on sale within 30 days of purchase. It was a hard and expensive lesson to learn. Moving forward, we will no longer make in-store purchases. We may view items in person, but we will place all orders online to ensure better customer protection.

We highly recommend reuben. He was knowledgeable, patient, and easy to work with.

Reuben (like the sandwich) provided some of the best service with his extensive knowledge of mattresses, we were able to pick out the perfect mattress for us. He was professional knowledgeable very friendly and not pushy. Will be returning.

Absolutely terrible experience, sales person crowding around me and my girlfriend and talking far too much after we expressed that we did not want help in the buying experience, drug us to a kiosk to try to get us to sign up for a financing plan and after expressing disinterest multiple times continued to try to force us to sign up. In the end when we expressed we were just in the store to look over FIVE TIMES directly to the associate she informed us we couldnt be in the store if we were not buying that day after letting us walk around for 10 plus minutes as she quite frankly annoyed us the entire time. Please do not go here

This 5 stars goes to Adajah for EXCELLENT customer service!!! She greeted us. Asked if she could help? But, was NEVER pushy!!! We loved that!!! It’s hard sometimes to examine what you want when you have someone hovering over you. Adajah gave us enough space to breathe while staying close enough in case we needed her. It was the best experience for us!!! I know others might like a different approach, but we don’t!!! We often run away if we have someone pushing us to buy something. “Thank you Adajah for making this experience one of the best one!!!” I also appreciate her and Mitch (the store manager) who honored the sales price from another Ashley store. Kerwin gave us a great deal on a sectional back in September. We decided to add another piece to our sectional and Kerwin once again took care of us and was a pleasure to work with!

My husband is a salesman. This is a hard job and very stressful. We have been Ashley Furniture buying for over 20 years . We always had to travel to Pineville , NC to get our house items but now they have one in Rock Hill. Funny thing is Kay is there . He was the manager when we would go to Nc. He is the best. Super nice , great customer service, and always helpful. Brandy was our salesman. She was very knowledgeable, informative and nice. She spent two hrs with us while we tried to find the perfect mattress and bedroom suit out. Very happy with my purchase

We have used Ashely Furniture for over 20 years now. We always had to drive to Pineville to see Kay but now he is in our home town Rock Hill SC . He recognized us right away. Brandy was our salesman. She took us around the whole store. We just came to look for a mattress but ended up get the whole bedroom suit , end table , mattress , and A kitchen table lol. She worked so hard she had 3 other customers then us but she didn’t make us wait long. Ashley furniture always stands by their products and they are very well made. Great atmosphere . Plus they threw in a sherpa Comforter I wanted for free .

We bought our new couch and loveseat today. Both have consoles in center. Can’t wait till Wednesday when it will be delivered. Our sales lady was so helpful, she made our purchase as I enjoyable. Thank you Adajah Evangelist.

Got everything I needed ordered, and set to be delivered before in of month. Easy to apply for credit and with that was able to do 60 months no interest, get delivery and set up fees, and five year warranty on products. Went in to get one of many items needed and walked out being able to get everything I needed, am very pleased with Tim!! He was a great help. If I need anything else I am definitely going back.

Ruben was very knowledgeable, and his service at the time of sale was very good. Based on that alone I would give 5 stars. Took delivery a few days later and a day or 2 after noticed that the swivel chair didn't function properly. I called Ruben, as he instructed me to call with with any issues during the first year. Unfortunately, Ruben's response was "There is noting I can do to help you." He basically wanted to pass me off as quick as possible. Quite the turnaround from when he wanted to make the sale, and very dissappointing. Stores should stand behind their products and sales. Ashley Furniture and Ruben did not.

After ushering me throughout the store in search of the best item to fit my space, Ruben was very professional, extremely patient, and most helpful during the entire selection process. Thanks to Ruben, I had a pleasant shopping experience at Ashley furniture store without any pressure.

This review is not a reflection of our salesman, and we will not use names so they are not associated with our 1 star review. We purchased a mattress 4.5 months ago. It was delivered and clearly, badly deformed upon arrival. It was immediately approved as a manufacturer's defect, and we received store credit to purchase another mattress. We should've been refunded without question, and we disagree with the decision and store policy, as this was a defective item and a responsibility of the store. We then started the process over since we were bound to the store and purchased another mattress. For the most part, that process went well, but we utilized our 90 day sleep trial and decided that mattress was not right for us and came back to find another mattress. Keep in mind, each time, you must spend the same amount or more, per store policy. After exchanging our mattress and moving up in price TWICE, our mattress arrived after a month of waiting. The delivery process was painful to watch. The two person team dropped the mattress in a box to the ground from the high truck. Once getting it inside, they struggled immensely getting it up the stairs and were folding the mattress...an expensive mattress, not in a box, being folded and shoved because it was too heavy for the two men delivering it. They also left the trash/wrapping from the mattress for us and DRAGGED our 3 month old mattress out to the truck, covered in leaves and sweat. It was devastating to watch! As soon as the new mattress was on our base, we noticed an immediate large divot/indentation on the mattress as if someone slept on it for years. We took pictured and contacted Ashley right away. The pictures show one side of the bed where the level is perfectly level on the bed, and then where there is a noticeable gap underneath the level on the other side where the indentation is. When speaking with Ashley, we were offered an 'as is' discount, but we would lose our ten year warranty on a brand new mattress. That is absurd. We should've been offered a discount while still maintaining our warranty. We are waiting to hear back about someone coming to inspect the mattress. Likely, we will have to wait again for yet another exchange on this mattress. Two manufacturer's defects or damage from shipping/delivery. Once is bad enough. Twice is extremely frustrating and quite frankly unacceptable. This is not an inexpensive item, and each time, we've had to spend more. How does that make sense? The store provides a defective item/makes a mistake, and the solution is...here's store credit, but you have to now spend more money in our store. I can understand that for the sleep trial. We do not accept that for defective items, much less TWO! This will be four total mattresses when there should've been no more than two with the standard sleep trial. We are incredibly disappointed with our experience and the options given to us to resolve this issue. It seems clear, Ashley is intent on making more money off of us, regardless of the products and service they provide. We will not be shopping at Ashley in the future and will encourage others to shop elsewhere, especially for a mattress. We wish something could be done to properly resolve this issue where Ashley would stand behind the products they sell and service they provide, but thus far, we have seen that asking customers to spend more and wait longer for different products has been the solution. Very difficult lesson learned.

Ruben, our sales associate, was absolutely incredible. His personality makes you feel so welcome, and he genuinely listens to your needs. My wife and I have dealt with Ruben twice and both times have been absolutely wonderful.

Kay Edwards is an awesome person to work with!! Not only is he a very likeable person, he's extremely helpful, knowledgeable and non pressuring. I told him what I was looking for, he knew they didn't have exactly what that was in store, found it online, found a very close comparison in store for me to test out and the deal was done. Actually everyone that I came into contact with was a pleasure to be around! If you're shopping for furniture....this is a must stop!! It was a very pleasurable experience.

On November 8, I purchased a TV stand from this store. When it was delivered, the furniture was broken and dusty, as if it were a return from another customer. Now no one wants to take responsibility for replacing it or resolving the issue. I paid for a brand-new item, and they gave me a damaged one, which is not fair.

We have purchased many pieces of furniture from Ashley over the years. We have always had a wonderful experience, with this visit being no exception to that! We walked in, looking for a new couch….. something durable. Ruben assisted us with all of the questions, and believe me, we had many! We settled on the most durable sectional that they had. This was one of the worse experience I have had with Ashley furniture and I would never go back. Mitch who is the manager of the store charge me almost forble the amount the items cause which he charge me 7,000 for the a item that literally I bought at mattress firm for 4300 and he held me hostage over a hour cause I was wanting a copy of the refund receipt of the order I return for my record of the items I purchased 10 hours earlier and he was refusing to give me the refund receipt which was all I was asking for and turn into a nightmare in which I literally had to raised my voice and the to police had to be call be before he gave me the refund receipt o was asking for. I will never go back and I will be making my purchases at Haverty’s which is a way better quality store

When we walked In we were treated by Alex Miller and she helped guide us into the direction of what we were looking for. We are currently trying to buy our first home and with the help of Alex and the rest of the staff they helped us get the furniture we wanted and also gave us some suggestions on items that may or may not work out for us but if all worked out and we were able to get a new sectional couch that was safe for pets and kids we got a new bed and frame we got a few more items as well and I can’t wait to put it all together in our new home. They have great prices and a great selection, could do without the man trying to overtake her sale she was doing a great job on her own.

I came to Ashley to find a couch. They have a pretty good selection in all different price points. Ended up finding what i was looking for, and the staff was excellent! Alex showed me a few options, then walked away and let me look. She didn't hover, which is a big plus for me. When i found what i wanted, she was right there and helped me purchase it and set up delivery. They deliver on Saturdays, which is also important to me.

We asked for counter height stools, bought 4 and picked them up at distribution center in Fort Mill. We discovered they are not tall enough for our countertops. We asked to return them and Ashley's will not let us return and get something else. No more shopping for us at Ashley's! We have never had a problem returning anything ever! I would think the salesperson would have asked about height.

I met Ruben today on my first visit to the new Rock Hill store and it was such a great experience! I previously furnished my entire home practically with Ashley in 2023 and am a loyal Ashley customer! Today I was coming in planning for my upcoming deck project! I was browsing ONLY and not planning to buy anything! I am a very straightforward customer, can’t be sold on anything that I don’t want, no matter how good a salesman is 😅 so I found it VERY refreshing that Ruben caught on to that early and still spent time with me helping me to plan the future purchase! I have experienced other salespeople who once they feel that the customer is not buying today, they very much just shut off the “customer service”! But Ruben is not this salesman!! He was such a kind soul and great salesman that I had to get something. I bought a beautiful 8x10 rug that was displayed with the full outdoor set that I plan to get soon and will be sure to buy with Ruben ONLY! And also the fact that he speaks Spanish is awesome, and just what Rock Hill needs!! The in-store shopping experience was great. We had issues with the delivery being delayed 20 minutes into the delivery window, which was frustrating. When we called Ashley corporate for help the corporate customer service was really really bad. Corporate customer service couldn’t tell us when the new delivery would be and didn’t seem to care at all. They offered no options to get us new info asap or anything at all. However, we were relieved to get help from the local store’s sale representative who had worked with us in store. He was able to not only figure out when the reschedule was for and also get them to move it up about a week. If I could give him 5 stars and the corporate customer service a 1 I would. Since this review is for rock hill specifically I am giving 4 stars only because if something does go wrong with the delivery it’s a hassle to work with the corporate customer service.

EDIT: They gave us a $100 refund, so they have tried to help but it still was a huge hassle. I’m upping the rating because we like the chair, but it was still such a mess and took over a month to get to us that I’m not removing my narrative. If you want to see furniture, this is the place to go; if you want it in your house, go elsewhere. To be clear, the in store experience was fine. We found a chair we liked and ordered it—paying over $1000 for it in-store. They told us they needed it shipped to our location so it would take a few weeks. Our old recliner had broken but it was usable (tho likely unsafe) and it’s the primary chair my wife has been using to nurse our newborn. Waiting weeks was not ideal but we understood. Weeks go by and as our delivery date approached we received many texts and calls about the delivery. The day before, we received a message that deliver would be made between 8:30a and 11:30a; that if we weren’t home when they tried to deliver we would be fined; and that we needed to clear space for it because the delivery men are not able to haul away. Because the next morning was trash day, we moved the old chair to the curb after my wife nursed the last time in the day to be ready. DURING THE DELIVERY WINDOW THE NEXT MORNING, we get a call that the chair can’t be delivered because it’s damaged and they can’t tell us when it will arrive. Our old chair was picked up early in the morning, so I asked if they could bring the damaged chair that we could use in the interim. They said they could not because if we accepted the delivery, the sale was complete. We can’t get any clarity on expected timing after multiple unhelpful calls. We are in this situation specifically because Ashley demanded we have space clear and didn’t tell us about any issue until the delivery window. It’s ridiculous and terrible customer service. It’s rich they threaten to fine us if we aren’t available during their window but they can call us and cancel in the middle of the window. We’re moving into a new house later this year and will need all new furniture. We will not be using Ashley and no one else should either.

Brett and the Store Manager were SO kind and helped my mom pick out the perfect bedroom set for her new home. We were extremely impressed with their customer service, they went above and beyond. Highly recommend! We will definitely be returning to purchase more furniture from Brett & this store location in the future.

Recently, my husband and I decided it was time to update our living room. We ate close by and decided to stop in and look. We came across furniture that we really liked and decided to purchase with a reasonable delivery date given. Alex was kind and helpful throughout the process. The problem is once you purchase, things change. Our furniture was delivered but our rug was expected 4 weeks instead of within 2 weeks and Alex promised through text they would move the furniture to put the rug down due to it being separate delivery's. When they got here, they advised us they are contractors and not able to touch our furniture. Also, the day after our purchase, we had to contact our bank as someone from a completely different furniture store tried to make a purchase using our ccard. We believe it was the outlet that Ashley actually picks up the furniture who was trying to use our card an hour away.We only dealt with this one furniture store. Also the charger was broken that was connected to our chair but after all we didn't want to deal with the staff again about another issue. I would think twice about purchasing from this store. They are shady and sneaky here. We will never purchase from them again and we are in the market for other furniture. Too bad we won't be giving them our business.

Bad experience. After getting prices and being ready for billing, they say there was an error in the price. They do not assume responsibility. They just say this is the new price, if you want, take it 👎. The sellers are excellent. 👍 .The decision is not theirs, only the manager's.

It’s a lot to talk through, think about, and make a final decision on, but he listened to my thoughts and goals for the furniture pieces I was seeking. He went above and beyond to help me make sure the pieces I picked out would work in my space and for my family’s lifestyle. He thoroughly explained the financing and Diamond Care options. His attention to the details was much appreciated. Typically, in my experience, furniture shopping is daunting and can be stressful but my experience with Bret at the Rock Hill location was smooth and actually fun.
