I can not give enough credit where credit is due. It started in sales room with finale upon delivery. Rene (salesperson) was attentive, courteous, mindful and non pressuring. While taking care of other customers- she gathered information, allowed me to search, and then assisted me in gathering pieces for my living room purchase based upon my interests/desires. She took time to research and offer suggestions which assisted in the decision process. She's amazing! And today- my furniture was delivered. Beyond pleased- these guys knocked it out of the park ! Davis and Hunter (delivery) were so proficient, professional and delivered my furniture with my expectations superseded !!!! They made the delivery process effortless and I am grateful-awesome service! Overall- I highly recommend. Very rude workers. Did want to look to see if they carried the kind of mattress we were looking for. Told us to go search online. Did not seem to want to even talk to us. Don’t ever go to this place as their workers have no interest in helping you. We were also planning on buying a couch set but after her rude nasty behavior we left the store. We will go to a different furniture store who hired helpful pleasant people!

She went the extra mile in getting someone to help her take down a love seat that was positioned high up on a shelf so that I could test the height of the legs when sitting down (I have bad knees so sitting to low to the ground would not work for me). DO NOT PURCHASE WARRANTY. Or rough it up before you make a claim. Also be mindful it must be attended to within 30 days of the incident. It was sold to us as issues such as child / dogs if they caused issues such as urinating on the furniture that we could have it reappolstered. Here we are, attempting to use it and apparently that is not covered because I called it an odor after the incident occurred and I attempted to clean it up.

My girlfriend and I went into Ashley Furniture in Rapid City S.D. to buy a dining room table and a bed for our spare bedroom. When we walked in we were greeted by a very nice and polite sales lady by the name Karen Rene. She was very knowledgeable of of the merchandise, if she didn't know the answer to our questions off the top of her head she found the answer and that was great. When we got the table home and out of the box we discovered that there was severe damage to the table top. When we called Karen, her and the man in the warehouse did such a great job fixing the problem by bringing out a new table top the same night. That was truly awesome. I wish I could remember his name as well because I was so impressed by the way he conducted himself too. Because of the actions of Karen Rene and the man in the warehouse they made customers of us for a long, long time. Thank you Karen!

Sophie DeWitt is AMAZING! I have been saving up and looking for a couch for MONTHS! (Maybe a year.) On my first visit to the store, I had a few couches in mind that I had seen on the Internet, and I just wanted to try them in person. The models I was looking at weren’t in that store, but Sophie DeWitt looked up the dimensions of those couches and showed me couches in the store that had the same measurements, seat depths, cushion heights, armrests, seat firmness, etc. so that I could try it all. I told her that I would definitely buy a couch EVENTUALLY, but let her know it was going to take me a LONG time to decide. She still helped me an immense amount over these months anyway! I’ve been visiting the store with questions every month or so since then. Sophie has helped me with my questions, made sure to tell me about sales, and even done the full math for several pieces for me so that I could fully consider them and decide. Today, I finally made the order. She helped me find that couch…she even found a coffee table I had wanted that was in limited stock! I’m going to get my new living room right after Christmas. (And I’m probably going back soon after that to get a new mattress—Sophie has already been holding my hand through that process as well. Poor woman! But lucky me!)

I bought a new house in Spearfish, SD. I had to furnish the entire house. I live on the East Coast and called Ashley’s furniture in Rapid City to order all of my furniture. I Was lucky to have Niesa be my sales agent. I couldn’t ask for a better person to help me with all of this. She was so patient she got my order all done correctly. Things came in in different times. She held stuff erased for a delivery that was convenient for me and when I had to return things or exchange things. She was always there to help me and, kind and understanding about everything. I find the quality to be perfect enough for my vacation home needs I have used Ashley before, but after this experience, I will always use Ashley. Sophie rocks!!

After shopping a different furniture store in Rapid City and being told that we’d have to wait six weeks or more for our new furniture, we decided to try Ashley. Our Sales Associate, Leonard, listened to our needs and pointed us to a great reclining loveseat that was exactly what we were lookin for, and it was in stock! Leonard’s knowledge of the store’s products and attention to us as customers was truly refreshing compared to the lackluster customer service that seems to be the norm rather than the exception these days. We definitely recommend Ashley and will be returning for our furniture needs in the future. Ask for Leonard when you walk into the store. You will be glad you did.

Came in a month or so ago for some bedroom furniture. Of course my husband and I had different opinions on whether we wanted a tall dresser or short long dresser. Hailee was great! We went in looking for a sofa Recliner and Will was very helpful and informative with questions. We left to do more research and check inventory at other stores but ultimately decided to go back to Ashley. On our second visit we went in with follow up questions and intent to buy and worked with Leonard. He took his time to help us since Will had the day off. He was very friendly, answered all our questions and made sure we felt prioritized although they were short staffed at that moment and very busy. I would definitely recommend both sales persons if you're going to buy from Ashley.

Furniture shopping is not as fun for me as it is for wife. But when an employee goes out of her way to show that she is here to help us with decisions and not just make a sale I tend to pay attention. Hailee was AWESOME!! with herself having kids she made mine kids feel like there wants were also important along with my wife’s. So keep up the great work Hailee!

We looked at a few stores for a new mattress but my parents recommended Ashley since that was where they have gotten the last few mattresses they have needed. Karen was so nice and super helpful. She even was able to help us look at the one my parents had gotten since we liked for their spare bedroom since we like it so much. What I loved was unlike some sales people she didn’t try to push us to buy anything the day we were in there. We had said we were just looking and would be back when we were closer to needing the mattress so she kindly gave us an invitation to a special sale the next week and we were able to get a good price and free delivery

I lived in Guam and had a major typhoon that ruined alot of my furniture. Knowing I was coming back to South Dakota I just called Karen and asked for help finding new furniture. She was so very helpful, she sent me many pictures and videos of all Ashley had to offer and even went as far as helping me find the right items that would actually look nice with my flooring and cabinets. Very nice furniture

I had purchased a couch that was damaged because of a factory defect. I wrote Ashley on their main site. The response I got was AMAZING! The manager of service for this store contacted me IMMEDIATELY. He came and took a look with one of his service guys. They scheduled a pick up for repair in less than a day. They picked up my couch and returned it fully repaired in less than 2 days! INCREDIBLE SERVICE and CUSTOMER CARE! I cannot explain how professional and courteous the team was and it put my mind at ease. They handled the issue with speed and quality! Because of these two gentlemen, my faith in customer service is back!

The store is in the middle of being remodeled. Which made viewing furniture more challenging. We found a piece of furniture and made a purchase. The sales help was very helpful and did a good job. Will be nice to see store again when remodeling is complete.

ASHLEY was our first stop in looking for a loveseat and sofa. Jenn greeted us with a friendly smile and asked if she could help us. She was ready to take "No" for an answer, but I gave her our wish list of what we were looking for. We have a cat, so we were particular about the upholstery and a few other things. Jenn actually listened and showed us several items that came very close. Since this was our first stop, I asked Jenn which competitors we should also consider. She provided two -and we checked them out. One salesman didn't even listen to our wish list. He wanted to argue semantics regarding upholstery and said he didn't think we could find all our options. The third stop the salesperson had their own ideas. A couple days later we went back to Ashley and tried our first choices out again. We then asked Jenn if she could think of anything else that might work for us. The next thing she showed us was almost perfect. She was friendly, she listened, she knew her inventory, and she was patient. Exactly what you want in a salesperson.

If you want to buy furniture and be told you will have it in a month but wait four months...shop here. If you want furniture that arrives chipped and cheap but sold high...shop here. If you want different furniture then what you ordered because they are too lazy to update their paperwork on their floor models...you should most definitely shop here. If you want all this to happen and have one of their sales representatives offer no restitution and say "I hope you have better luck elsewhere."...this is your store.

Walked around for 20 minutes looking for a mattress and absolutely no one asked if I needed help.

Ashley Homestore is the place to buy furniture in Rapid City, Chanci greeted us at the door and for the next 2 and half hours, she found, and showed us everything we had on our list. She was very knowledgeable, courteous and proffesional. She offered us options, showed us groupings we had not considered. We spent a good deal of money with her, because knew the business.

If I could give them a zero I would. Absolutely horrible people. Our couch that we bought from them with the extended warranty that the sales rep assured us covered everything. Well it doesn’t, but what our couch had was covered. Been trying for months for some resolve for the warranty but they give you the run around and will not pay out. So that was the first bad experience but decided to try and give them another chance. So we went to buy a mattress from them. No one acknowledged us through the whole store. Even though there were at least five standing around doing absolutely nothing. These employees should be ashamed of there work ethic. Maybe customer service is not what they should be doing. Do not use this store and do not buy there ridiculous extended warranty

I really do like this store but when I called and asked if the delivery drivers wear mask well the guy I talked to specifically said yes they wear mask! They arrived at my door with no mask! Grrrrrrrrr. I’m the family type that doesn’t go anywhere because of the pandemic and I do my best to keep my family safe!

Spoke with Julie D at Ashley's, she is very knowledgeable and helpful. Good sale on right now. Take a peek. Unfortunately if you do a special order all furniture stores are about 8 to 10 weeks before you get your item.

I wait a hour for chair and they got the wrong color

Love love love my sectional! Except it came the opposite way then I had asked for it to come. That is also why I went in and ordered it to make sure it was ordered correctly. The associate and I drew a layout of my living room, still recieved it the opposite way I wanted. Cushion was missing a seam. They had to order another . I told the manager when I called to tell her about the cushion that I received the couch the opposite way then I had ordered it, she didn't seem to care. I said its whatever. I finally recieved it at least. But it's a sectional so it ultimately messed up my whole plans for my living room. Extremely unprofessional place! Not sure I'll ever personally step foot on there. I had went in nearly 6/7 months before purchasing the one I bought....I talked to a gal. I had only looked. 2nd time I went in I was approached by a man, I let him help me because he was an available associate. The other girl called him over the loud speaker to answer the phone she freaked out on the phone that I was her customer. I was like "wow" she wanted to split his commission. I said she did nothing. She tried to help me one time when I was "just looking" that was unbelieveable to me. I was standing right there. I could hear him, I even said was that about me, he said yes. She claims she worked with you before. I said no. I stopped in months ago to look. She couldnt have waited until I left the store to discuss this. But she did absolutely nothing to recieve any commission off me ! Just a F.Y.I. made me feel super uncomfortable. But I wanted my sectional so BAD!

We have purchased several pieces from Ashley’s. We have always had great service and found what we were looking for. Recently we purchased a sofa, was exactly what we were looking for! The entire stores staff made the purchase and delivery very simple. They have great product and prices!

My girl and I wanted to get some furniture for our place. Just a few things before we moved to another state. The nice lady explained that our furniture was covered for all moves with the extended coverage which encouraged us to get more than we needed. It took 2 more months to get all our furniture before we moved. Furniture was not as nearly as comfortable and overpriced. Bedroom set came repeatedly damaged which had to be replaced multiple times. Our furniture was shipped and became damaged in the move. We were super happy to have the extended warranty only to find out that it didn’t cover damage from the move. Now we are stuck with damaged furniture, a bill of over 6K and a useless extended warranty. She lied to get a sale a good sale. Would recommend going to somewhere else and never buy furniture before a move.

The initial encounter with the employees here was good. My husband and I ordered a small couch and an ottoman. Nothing special about either one. Standard made colors. Had to order them because they were not in stock which is understandable. We were given an estimated delivery date of *being delivered to our apartment* between 1/6 and 1/13. We ordered these on 12/09/19. We didn’t hear anything about delivery so I gave them a call around 1/12 and found out that our couch was in fact in store, and had been for a while, awaiting for the arrival of our ottoman. We were told there was some “truck trouble” causing a delay in delivery. Again, understandable. We asked that they deliver our couch while we wait for the ottoman. We were then given an expected delivery date of the ottoman by 1/23. The 23rd came and went with no one contacting us regarding our piece of furniture. My husband and I went in to the store and inquired about our ottoman. The lady at customer service informed us that it was actually out of stock. What?!? I asked her how could something that I already ordered and PAID FOR be out of stock???? She said that it is on a first come first served basis at the warehouse. This is insane!!!! If I ordered and paid for something, it should be reserved and waiting for me!! Plus, when was someone planning on calling and telling me this?!? We were then given an expected delivery date of 2/8. I immediately asked for a refund of my money. She said she would have to talk to the salesperson that helped us and see what they could work out for us. I got a call the following morning and was told that they can either mail us a check or I can pick up cash. I told her that I will come in and pick up my cash (since we paid cash for this.) This was 3 days ago. I went in this evening to get my refund and was told that I would have to wait for Thursday because that’s the day they “cut checks.” Seriously?!? I just want my money!! I gave you cash, so give me cash back!!! I can tell you this, my family and I will NOT be coming back to this place of business. There is obviously a huge lack of communication. If I could give negative amount of stars in my review, I would. Done. Just done.

If I were you, I wouldn't trust this store or any other business that this owner owns. I went in to get help with my temper pedic bed purchase and want a refund which he told me he will help me out with after he went out of his way to call me and tell me to clarify on Facebook advertisement that I didn't buy the bed at his store , so I did over a month ago and he still hasn't contacted me about my bed purchase like he said he was going to do. BASICALLY HE IS ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT HIMSELF, BECAUSE ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER.

I applied online for financing to be prepared to go into the store and purchase what we want. I called the store before going to make sure they could use the financing I was just approved for today. (Since I didn't have any account numbers or anything) The last on the phone said yes..we can look it up online. We made the 45 mile drive. We were greeted by a lovely lady asking us if we needed help. My husband and I were interested in just looking around by ourselves. We told her we would ask if we had questions. While looking around this woman practically followed us around. We finally made our decision and we were told that they didn't accept the financing we got approved for on their website in their store. She introduced us to another financing company. We did get approved but it's 142% interest! If we could pay it off in 100 days we wouldn't be charged any interest. Well, I'm not taking the chance of having to pay a high monthly payment and 3x's more for our furniture if life doesn't go as planned. We have good credit. It's a scam to be charged that much interest. So disappointing and wasted my whole afternoon

Wow... I ordered furniture on 5/26 and we were expecting delivery on 7/11. While this seems ridiculously long, I just got a call and was informed that my order was pushed another whole week! I will NEVER buy from these clowns again! ***UPDATE*** As of 7/12, we are now out to the 30th of July! Lol. Now it's just funny! Complete incompetence! They are still blaming the 4th of July holiday though! Lol. can I give less than 1 star?
