My wife and I stopped by to look for a new couch. We explained to Bailey that we needed something spacious enough for the two of us and our five dogs. She understood right away and showed us the perfect sofa. Bailey was incredibly patient as we tested it out for about twenty minutes, and her friendly, personable approach made our visit a truly pleasant experience.

Ordered and received PART of our furniture order in August. We waited over a month for the rest of the order. When we still didn't receive it we visited the store to inquire on its whereabouts. We were told "it's been stolen by Somalian pirates" and that we would not get it until November or December. I went in today, just to check on its status as no one has followed up with us. There were 4 women working in the store. One was on the phone, 2 were popping balloons, and the other was sitting with them (I assume the manager). I was not greeted when I walked in. When I approached the group, I asked about my order, I was told that now it wouldn't be here until mid January. I told them that I was frustrated that no one has even followed up with me. They all just stared at me. Meanwhile, the woman on the phone was asking the woman whom I believe to be the manager to help her with a phone call. The so-called manager refused to help with the customer that was on the phone and just sat there. Her words, "No, I'm not talking to them, there's nothing I can do about it!" This was the worst customer service I have seen in a long time. I received no apology or explanation for the extended delay in receiving my order or for the lack of communication- I was just stared at.
I had Bailey and that was my favorite part. Not pushy and very pleasant. Delivery scheduling is a joke and slow to receive your purchase.

I have had the best experience at Ashley in Cookeville ! The entire staff starting with Brenda the store manager, Camilla and the entire staff are fantastic! They understand your every need and make sure you are completely satisfied with all arrangements before leaving. I have never had a more enjoyable experience! Joanne was my sales agent today and did a fantastic job of letting us shop without pressure and make a decision. She also explained the paperwork in detail. The only snag we had was a five year warranty was mentioned in the shopping portion of the visit that turned out to be an optional extra purchase. Joanne deserves four stars. The billing portion however, does something that I consider to be deceptive on their invoice. Their Whiteglove Premium Home Delivery shows as $ 0.00 on the invoice part, but the delivery charge is added to the bottom. I called and asked about this and was told by the manager Brandon it is done at the corporate level and the local store has no control in how it appears on the invoice. I am posting this so that maybe someone in corporate will see this post and realize this does not make the customer have confidence or trust in your company. I did not mind paying the delivery fee, I just feel like you weren't transparent about it.

They put the wrong bed on our order, and we drove 2.5 hours to pick up bed, which wasn't what we ordered. Spent 3 hours in phone calls with very young, inexperienced people to get the bed we purchased. Then it took a week for them to deliver the correct bed! I do not recommend Ashley store at all.

Great choice of furniture but very disappointed on the $650 delivery fee. We only live a couple towns away, not far. Would have canceled order but wife loved choices so I'm stuck paying them.

Terrible experience. I ordered my furniture and had my delivery set. The first shipment came in with a chair ripped up so had to wait another 2 weeks to receive a new one. Then they scheduled my other items for a different date. They didn't show up so I called and the lady said they needed to cancel and reschedule so I rescheduled they showed up without the furniture and said they didn't have it. So I called and they said I'd have to keep rescheduling with them till my items were in stock??? I was like ok well I have to work so I can't keep scheduling if yall arnt going to show up when I'm waiting on you to. The lady basically told me tough luck. Then I got a call from my sales rep who informed me the item was no longer for sale and I could buy the floor model with a refund. My sales rep was wonderful. So I said ok let's do it. The manager processed my refund and I've been waiting 2 weeks with no refund? So I called the store and they arnt able to look up refunds? So they gave me a number to call that can't tell me anything either??? So they said I have to keep waiting and it takes 7 to 10 days...but again it's been 2 weeks. So no one knows who I can call and I keep getting transferred around to be told the same story over and over. It's been a terrible experience. I only gave 2 stars because my sales rep was so helpful and wonderful.

I recently bought a recliner (as is) which I was told only meant no warranty. I tried to sameday return the recliner because it was too small. I was told " We don't take back used furniture," I only had it in my home for a few hrs. Bargain furniture allowed me to return an item I wasn't happy with . Disappointed Ashley!

Having just moved to Baxter, TN, I needed a new living room set. Ashley is my go to store and the Cookeville location didn't disappoint. Joanne greeted me when I arrived and made sure I had everything I needed plus she got me a great deal. The furniture looks fantastic.
My husband. And I are firm believers of treating people as if they are family to treat them with the respect that you would want someone to treat you. I have to say when we walked into Ashley, that is how we were greeted.We were treated as if we were family from the moment Nicholas approached us. We have not received our delivery as of yet. It is coming very soon if the treatment is anything like what we have experienced so far. We are confident we will be returning to Ashley for all of our future furniture needs.
I talked with a girl named Ashley Thursday and she was so sweet and nice! I couldn’t have asked for better customer service. She was very understanding of my budget! Unfortunately, I was having complications with my card as well and she was very patient and was trying to even help me. It was very thoughtful of her to take the time out of her day to help me with that.

I needed several things when I visited the Ashley Store. Most of the items were available and my sales representative, Joanne was very helpful. The internet at the store was very slow causing processing of my order to take some time and I had another appointment to go to.

Went in November 2023 and purchased a couch, TV love seat that reclines and a recliner. All were supposed to be electric and the recliner was not. The TV love seat, the back keeps coming off. Ashley's sent factory service men to look at the furniture and they said it was defective. We spent 6,000 plus a rug. We have talked to Ashley's several times and they said that they were going to make it right. As of today, 4/25/2024 nothing has been done. If I were you, I would not purchase anything from Ashley's. Called today and they said that there was no records of previous conversations. I feel like there waiting until my warranty runs out.
The nicest people ever!! Dylan Scott did a great job. When we moved house, we didn’t think our couch would fit through the doorway but he voluntarily came to the house and helped us get our couch in!
After plenty of “meh” experiences of shopping in my town of Crossville, my wife and I made the trek to Cookeville to visit the Ashley store. We’ve had an Ashley couch, purchased elsewhere, for years and were interested in another high quality piece of furniture. Our salesperson, Bailey, went above and beyond for us in our shopping experience. She was very informative, easy going, extremely pleasant and gave us the space we needed to truly decided what would work best for us in our new home. We ended up purchasing a complete living room set from Bailey, and she made the purchase process painless. We will be back for more pieces soon, but in the meantime we will be referring all of our family and friends to Bailey at the Ashley store in Cookeville for their furniture needs.

Very clean store, decent selection. Sales people were not overly pushy. The only thing I don't care for is their pricing structure. They like to keep it wrapped up in financing and it was hard to get an actual cash amount of what everything costs till after you agree.

I was hesitant to go to Ashley fearing it would be like the other furniture stores in town that are very expensive. It was my last stop for the day, my son and I had been shopping all day. The store was warm and inviting when we walked in and my son and I were starting to look around ducking the sales force but then one of us got us while we were trying out a sectional. His name was Nick and he was fantastic. He listened to what I needed, what I wanted and was not pushy at all. He showed me everything that would be a possibility but saved the best for last the one he came up with from all the things I said I did and did not want. It was the one I bought. He provided excellent customer service and we got along fantastic. At the end of the night I got a fantastic deal on some beautiful furniture for my new home.

Definitely recommend Ashley furniture store. Everyone was so patient and accommodating with me. I have a lot of special needs and the staff was good at helping to fit me with the proper bed and price range for my needs. The main person I worked with was Nicolas, but others were helpful as well. He called one of the girls over who specialized in the particular bed I was looking at, to answer further questions.

The store manager Brenda was sweet and wonderful to chat with and my salesperson Camilla was amazing!! She stayed with me while we tried to get the great offer that I had been preapproved for but was having trouble getting to when it timed out. She also found me my couch! Saw what I was liking and recommended another one that I fell in love with! Was also able to get me delivery in DAYS. 100% recommend!
Everything was fine during the buying process except for the fact that I was mislead with the No Use No Lose policy… I was told distinctly, after I refused to take it multiple times, that I would get that money back after 5 years if I don’t file a claim! Only to find out in their own paperwork, that the money comes back in the form of a credit on a minimum purchase of $500… that’s the biggest slap in the face. I will not buy another piece of furniture here.

Nicholas at Ashley furniture in Cookeville is the worst service man ever he cussed us out and yelled at us for asking him questions! Horrible service we wanted to buy a bedroom set from this store because they were supposed to be “great” they are FAR from great! We were told we were getting a FOUR PIECE SET we arrived three items and one was completely wrong they refused to take it back and said we had to keep it so we get in contact with the sales man that sold it to us and he CUSSED US OUT AND YELLED AT US! I would never EVER recommend this place horrible service! I wish I could give 0 stars this place WILL SCREW YOU OVER!!!!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE!!!!!
If there was such as a 0 star that would be more appropriate. Wish I had read reviews before I let my son get his furniture. I am almost sure the 5 start rating on here are family and employess be cause it takes like 5 good rating to cancel 1 bad as I know how that works. Ashley furniture sales.rep. lied amd when my son finally got his delivery it wasn't right and the drivers refused to take it and pressured him to sign for delivery. He did then they said once it he furniture is there it can not be returned. He did not get what he bought and the whole thing has been a mess. It does no good to talk to a manager as they say they will l call back and do not. Choose rent-a-center, Buddys home furniture or Aaron's as they have the same quite cheaper and better customer service skills.

My in-store experience was great. However, a few mins after the delivery crew left I noticed a large sticky stain on the footboard of the bed I purchased. I had to call 4 different numbers before reaching the designated department. I was told piece was out of stock and could not be replaced, that it could be serviced. It’s been a week now and I have yet to receive the service and/or scheduling for the service. After reviewing my paperwork, we are unable to return this stained piece of furniture post delivery . Never again will Ashley’s receive my business.

I ordered a 5-piece bedroom set, 2 large mirrors, and a coffee table from "The BEST furniture store." Initially, Dylan, our seller, was great, selling us what we needed, but a mistake occurred, which is understandable. However, the real frustration began when our furniture consistently arrived broken. Each time I refused a delivery, the date was pushed back, making the process more agonizing. The manager's handling of the situation aggravated the problem. After three attempts, the manager reached out from her personal cell phone, promising to make an exception by changing the delivery date and refunding the delivery costs. However, as months passed, communication became sporadic. I eventually called the corporate number after the manager stopped responding. To my shock, the phone agent accused me of lying since there were no notes from the manager. This left me disheartened, especially after investing significantly in their furniture, all while simply hoping for a functional bed to sleep on.
We were greeted immediately upon entering the store. Very helpful service. We love shopping at Ashley Furniture.

The delivery came surprisingly earlier than expected, which was an advantage to me. The delivery was fast and our furniture was put together properly.

The purchase process and the help I received at the store initially was good. It was downhill after that. I wasn’t home when my sectional was delivered however my neighbor was and it should have been a breeze. Unfortunately the delivery person left the sectional with a tear in the wedge fabric, missing floor glides on one of the recliners and the sectional wasn’t even put together. I called the driver when I got home about 25min’s later who told me I had to call the store rep. Numerous calls later, emails etc etc and at my wits end I was just going to return it and buy elsewhere. In short and unbeknownst to me the Cookeville, TN store had this little clause they didn’t bother to mention that says once the furniture is in your possession there are no returns! I have bought from Ashley before not this particular store but that’s absurd. The best they could offer was to order new fabric and the floor glides and they would have a technician install them which wouldn’t happen for a month after the delivery. Completely unacceptable. I will not purchase from this Ashley ever again. Something else I didn’t know is that Ashley stores are independently owned and don’t all have the same standards or procedures. Very bad business.
Nicholas was the sales person . He was very helpful in helping me select the living room set that most fits my needs. He wasn't pushy at all like most sales people. I would highly recommend seeing Nicholas for your furniture needs.

They would not even be getting one star but as it stands you gotta tap at least one in order to leave reviews. I made a purchase , got the delivery and realized once the delivery men clean all their box’s and wrappers out of my room that a chair was just too big for my space. The driver had already gone so I called the store within half hour to ask if I could exchange the chair for something else that would fit , because in the process of the delivery one of the pieces of the couch was apparently missing something so they put back on truck and said they would deliver it in a few days. Okay so you gotta come back out. No problem they can take the chair back that just will not fit …. They absolutely are not willing to work with me on this. The sales lady said if something doesn’t work just let us know. So much for letting them know my situation. I’ve made phone call after phone call practically begging them to please just let me exchange the chair and ottoman for same price and something that will fit in my space. Got a lot of run around and time on the phone with same promises of someone will reach out .. 24 hours later no one has reached out. Apparently you’re not going to be able to talk to someone with good moral ethics . The over all integrity of Ashley furniture is less than desirable. Letting your customs know upfront that if that truck leaves your drive ,you’ll receive no help on our end.

I did not have a good experience at this store today. Ive been in there a few times but today the sales person I worked with was not friendly, honestly seemed passive aggressive, and I had to prompt and ask them about everything. I felt lured into the store by false advertising and hustled by a sales person who did not care once I got there. I am still going to buy the love seat I am looking at but will save myself the experience of having to deal with someone like that.

I went there looking for curio cabinets and found a dining room table that fit into the little spot in my apartment nicely and I got it on sale. Then I fell in love with the sofa and got a good deal on that one too she was very helpful very pleasant and love her name ( lol my sister with the same name said that one). This was one place I had fun shopping in today very much enjoyed it. It makes all the difference in the world when the workers are nice and courteous and talkative they just seem to know what you want and she had a very very pleasant personality

You spend over $3000 plus another $59 delivery fee for them to tell you that they can only deliver in the AM with a 3 hour window and not make any changes to accommodate for your daughter with a chronic illness. First and last purchase I will make with this company.
Went to Cookville store at 10:45 walked around the store looking for furniture to fill my new house. Walked in circles for 15 minutes, no customers in the store but me, no one came to help me.. left empty handed!
Came here to browse and holy moly the prices are steep. We’re looking for 2 dressers and even just a dresser is an insane amount of money. The sales person that helped us was friendly and knowledgeable. I had a bad experience with Ashley furniture in the past so I feel like I can’t get passed that. I feel like the cost for the furniture doesn’t fully match the quality.

Absolutely awful. They sell you new furniture and then deliver broken junk to your house and say it's not there fault. Ashley furniture is a scam. They are very shady. They posted a fake review in my name. You are being warned stay away. Scammers and liars. Their reviews are fake. Ashley junk store should be what they call themselves. God himself should settle with these crooks. Not a Christian in the world would work there nor shop there.

We have some bad experiences on getting a couple pieces of furniture in the past when we bought there. I feel you pay for a warranty protection but if need to use it is hard to get someone to fix plus they have certain restrictions on what they cover with their warranty. For the most part everyone at cklv store has been good to work with except a manger in the past. I had ordered a small table and chairs. Brett who worked there had left. He was always good to help. I had a problem on a chair that went with the set. So I spoke with the manger and he said would take care of. I waited for several says to hear something back. He said had passed on to another person who worked there to see what they could find out. At the time Brett has already left. So when I called he said was still working on. The manager at the time didn’t do what he said. Took a little longer to find out. Brett was always good to find and call you back. I had to call back and still had to wait. My husband prefers we never shop there again. I have about 4 rooms of furniture from the store in Cookeville. Actually I went the other day to see what I had to do about a warranty on a recliner chair we purchased from the store. They give me a sheet with information on who I needed to call. While in the store I made a purchase. I am responding to what you don’t recommend about Ashley. It is probably a waist of time and no one will read this. I need to call actually about 2 recliners. I feel I will get the run around and will take several calls on my behalf to get anything done if they even do anything. My name is Sonya Presley.

Sales experience was good, they sold me 5400$ sectional. Delivery took 3 weeks longer than expected which was frustrating, not as frustrating as the sectional completely falling apart within the first 30 days. Service manager Dave was rude and condescending. We were told service is through a third party 🙄. Dave sent pictures I had given him of the furniture broken. Service showed up and said they didn't have a work order for that piece and they were unable to do anything, needed a part ordered for a 2nd and 3rd piece that are now falling apart and new work order made. Its been 2 weeks, 2 stops to the store and a phine call still nothing is being done to fix the sectional that is completely broken and we are unable to sot on. DO NOT BUY FURNITIRE HERE!!
Had a problem on delivery they had wrong phone number so they cancel my delivery and didn’t notify me. Yet I confirmed by email I would be here. But other then everything else was great.

I am not a warranty person. I don't buy them for anything. My feeling is that I am not going to buy a product when I need the warranty to "protect" my purchase. The manager pushed a little too hard for the warranty. The sales person was great.

I purchased several pieces of furniture. When I went to the checkout I told the sales lady I had changed my mind. She then offered a bigger discount. However, it appears she processed my check before I had even signed. The manager (I guess) said, that I would receive a credit check for the almost 500.00 in 3-4 weeks. It has now been 8 weeks! You cannot get thru to anyone via the phone (multiple attempts) or the website. Clearly, I'm going to have to go cause a scene at the store. I will NEVER do business with this store again

Needed some furniture for my mother’s assisted living apartment. Wanted to pick out furniture one day and returned the next to pay. Spent about $13k total. Without my authorization, they opened a store credit card for me. Best I can determine, it was done just in case I didn’t return to complete the sale. What an absolute mess it turned into. Took savers hours to straighten out. There were other problems too. I will never purchase from Ashley again.

While our salesman was great, our experience with getting our item to us was not explained well when I called to check on the order I was speaking with David (the operations manager, he made sure to throw that out there in his condescending tone that he had with the whole conversation) he was the most unprofessional person I’ve had to deal with. His lack of being able to deal with customers professionally led me to ultimately cancel my order. Ordered a bed on 3/6. Set up delivery for 3/11. Delivery got moved till 3/18. Waited all day for delivery. They wait until 4:30 the day of delivery, to let us know that the delivery is postponed. They want it to reschedule till Sunday. Wasted the whole day to still not have a bed. Never again will I buy anything from this store.
Was very helpful with what I needed. I didn't even have to go into the store. I forgot the girls name but I was needing a platform bed. And to my surprise she knew exactly what I needed. She even helped me get a mattress for the twin bed. She was very nice and so helpful. So I ordered my granddaughters b. We bought a bed frame in July, and was told delivery would be Oct or November and someone would call to schedule. No one called, all of our messages went un-responded to, and most times no one would answer the phone when we called the store. Our salesperson was great on the floor, but apparently had little interest in us after the sale was made. We finally got in touch with someone in March, nearly 5 months later. The next day we got a text that the delivery was scheduled for the following week. We were told everything had been in the warehouse and was ready to be delivered, so no one knew why we had been delayed. The salesperson was supposed to call us and verify delivery was scheduled and then again after to verify it went well. None of those calls ever happened. The lack of communication and customer service is almost insulting. Finally, the delivery was horrible. They did not fully assemble the bed frame. I had to completely take it apart and reassemble, and they stripped and cross-threaded multiple fasteners to the point they could not be reused. I would have been better off sleeping on the ground.

We had a lovely experience at Ashley's. We did have to wait about 30 mins before someone acknowledged us, but they did tell us they were short staffed which is completely understandable. Moving forward the selection is great and our sales person Hunter was knowledgeable, friendly and helped us get what we wanted. we looked at several sectionals and their manager gave us some wonderful insight on how the furniture was made, which impressed us because we have little ones that like to jump on couches. The salesman did not pressure us and gave us the facts about everything from the availability of the furniture to the price breakdown. Now we wait 6 days for furniture delivery. Not too bad.

I ordered A sectional at the end of December, was told it would be delivered January 17. It is now January 25 and a week ago. I was told it would be here on the 31st. I called today and now I’m being told it will be here February 7 when I ordered this sofa I told them I did not want to order it if it would not be here soon, they assured me it would be delivered around the 17th as of now I have nothing . After I order this sofa, I have heard several people complain about their delivery times not to mention when I text the sales people that I worked with they never return text or calls. wish I would have went somewhere else. This will be my last purchase! If u ask me .. I think they try to get their sale and don’t have the courtesy to tell you that you may not get your merchandise for months afterwards.

**DO NOT BUY HERE*** Read the one star reviews. It's happening to us right now. I would give negative stars if I could. We bought November 6th. Only bought the bed because Brenda, a manager, said we would have it before December 1st. She knew we needed it. I feel like she lied to get the sale. I can't get Dave the manager there to call me back. They delivered part of the bed last week and had the wrong rails. Today the correct rails and nightstands were to be delivered but they went to wrong address. Instead of bringing to correct one, they just did not come. This is the worse experience I've had at a retail store. We just spent over $10,000 at another furniture and store and they just called. All furniture ready to be delivered. Don't use Ashley!!!

Forget it! This place is absolutely ridiculous. Ordered a $6k, the bed was delivered, they failed to bring the right bed frame. My $6k bed sat in my living room for a month (during the holidays) in a box until the bed frame could be delivered. Finally called and spoke to the manager to get the bedframe ordered. The new bedframe shows up, and it's broken! 3rd party delivery company says to go ahead and accept it. That they would handle the broken part and get a new one delivered. Delivery company NEVER told anyone about the damage product they delivered. I also have a 4 piece sectional on order. It's been 38 days since I ordered and paid for the entire thing. Item WAS scheduled for delivery tomorrow. I called to find out the status of the delivery. Guess what? Your delivery had been pushed back 2 to 4 weeks! I've never experienced that absolute lack of customer care that I received there. I will never shop at Ashley again. Please don't trust the word of a salesperson as to when it will be delivered. We knew it was going to take a least a month with the holidays and all. Now you're telling me 2 months. I have family coming to visit. We will all be sitting on the floor. Buyer beware just don't ship here dates ate never exact. Expect canceled deliveries, damaged items being delivered. Don't say you weren't warned.

When I bought my furniture the week after Christmas, I was told that everything would be delivered by the end of the 1st week of January except for one piece and it would be delivered near the end of January. I was okay with it. Now….the 3rd week of January, other than a couple of small pieces delivered at the end of last week (2nd week of January), I am now being told by the folks at corporate that the rest of my pieces are all on back order and won’t be available, if I’m lucky the end of January, or into February (4-6 weeks mam). Meanwhile, back at the local store, where I’ve had to go in several times (one time to change the delivery address because they can’t do that at the 1-800 number and the local store got it wrong to begin with), the salesperson who helped sell and make the commission (told me they would be available in the first place), is still telling me I’m going to get my pieces this Tuesday. This has been the worst experience ever. I have been jerked around completely. The folks at the 1-800 line don’t know what’s going on and can’t help me every single time I call. Then when I go locally in person or call my salesperson, I’m told a completely different story. She even argued with me that she told me most of the pieces would be the end of January. I feel like I was duped in the beginning regarding when the items would be delivered. One piece delayed was okay, not all of them! If I had known they were going to be this delayed, I would’ve gone somewhere else and bought my furniture. Next time, I will. This is causing me to lose money by not having the space set up.
Ordered a Christmas gift on November 9th. The ship date has changed 4 times. Now saying Dec 27th. Get the runaround when on the phone. Haven’t offered discount, options for alternate piece, or anything. Very disappointed.
If you want to buy a couch from Ashley Furniture "Think Twice". If it's DAMAGED good Luck getting it replaced. IT'S A NIGHTMARE!!!!! I ordered it in OCTOBER!!!!! and still not what I ordered.

Can't wait for the girls to try it out. Our youngest I had purchased a Queen size UPHOLSTERED Headboard bed set.

Finally had a replacement table delivered after waiting for over a month and still no bracket to attach the mirror to our dresser which I was told was also ordered...also, the new table was "put together" & all 4 legs of the table were left like this. Terrible!!!!!! We purchased a dining room, living room and bedroom set back in July, we were told "good news" we have all of these items in stock. Delivery took place a few weeks later, unfortunately they delivered a non matching couch and loveseat, two different colors. It is now well into November and we still don't have a matching set. This store does not communicate, answer phones or call back. We've went to the store in person and we were assured we would have our coach delivered on Sept 6th, October 6th, November 6th still no couch!!!! We paid in full the day we ordered, Ashley's has had our money since July and we still don't have our furniture. Do yourself a huge favor and don't shop here, you can find all of their items at other stores and Amazon and they actually deliver the products you purchase!

If you purchase anything from this company, I would not sign the agreement. If you read it closely. They will say it in stock and 3 months later, you still don't have your items. I was telling my friend that they still haven't delivered our furniture and he said, it took them 8 months to get theirs. So I called them and canceled. I will give them a one star just because they do have a clean store.

The utter incompetence, lack of follow up and communication has led me to tell all my family, friends and clients to avoid Ashley's at all cost. Sure the furniture is nice BUT if you're unlucky like me and my wife, you'll have partial and damaged products (no fault of our own, it was delivered this way) in your home and will be sent on a wild goose chase by Ashley's to find a manager or someone who'll accept accountability for the errors. Good luck getting a call back or any solutions from them because it'll be an endless runaround. It's been over a week and there's still no resolve from Ashley's. I'll be updating this review as they continue to pass the buck.

Bought couch and loveseat display model off the floor and picked up the following week. When we got it home and was bringing furniture in we noticed it was worn and had been used under cushions was lots of cat hair. Called store salesman he is never in and manager is always on vacation. No one will ever call back. We have called store every day since October 25, 2022 and no one will return call. I will never buy from this company again.
My daughter has waited a year for furniture she purchased from Ashley and still does not have it. They are rude, dismissive and avoid answering simple questions about their service issues when confronted. Buyer PLEASE beware if you are considering purchasing furniture from this disreputable store. My best friends had the very same problems, they cancelled everything and bought the exact furniture Ashley offered from a locally owned store with immediate delivery. If Ashley tells you there are supply chain disruptions, their story is not holding water in that scenario.

I ordered my furniture in November of 2021. I am almost a full 52 weeks from ordering my furniture and it has still not been delivered to my home. I took a partial delivery of furniture which included two headboards, a damaged dresser, a mirror, and an oversized chair. Due to taking this partial delivery and storing the furniture for the company, I am not able to refund my order because they do not offer refunds for product that has already been delivered. Although, none of the furniture that was delivered can even be put together to be used. I also purchased a desk on another order and it was delivered, but it was damaged in the process of set up. This has somewhat been rectified as I received a partial refund. I took the refund due to calling to check on the status and finding out that someone cancelled my exchange. In order to attempt to complete my dealings with this company, I opted for financial compensation. It was not an easy or convenient task for me to complete though as I had to take time off from work to visit the local store due to no one, including management, returning my calls. I have spoken with Dave, the store manager, Savannah, a store representative, and Joe, a member of management, all of which assured me they would return my calls but have not. The level of customer service at this location is non-existent. I have called the corporate number on several occasions just to be disconnected almost always as someone answers my call.
I would give the salesgirl 5 stars (orders a sofa when I wanted a loveseat, but mistakes happen) but the whole experience was not ideal. The table isn't as sturdy as they claimed it to be so very disappointed with that. We have had to beef it up a bit. The delivery method is a bit sporadic and confusing too.

I went in to look at purchasing a mattress I had viewed online. The staff was very attentive to me and help me find exactly what I was looking for. They did not have it currently in stock in the store. I was not pushed to buy a different mattress. My order was processed efficiently and hopefully shipping will be as estimated.

Purchased a sectional. Ashley missed delivery date twice and when it came one section was damaged. I was informed while in route for delivery and told the damaged piece was already reordered. They would not connect sections while waiting on replacement piece, so the sections kept scooting out. NOT SAFE! When the new piece came in, the delivery crew wasn’t aware they had to do the “setup” but did so. Pieces didn’t connect properly, some were just sitting on the frame of next piece and not really connected. You can never call into an Ashley store for customer service (or manager) as calls are routed out of country to a call center. I’ve tried even tried chat-worthless. There is NO customer service to speak of except an occasional apology. I will NEVER shop Ashley again and would not recommend Ashley to anyone.
Horrible experience with Brenda. When purchasing a love seat with my Ashley store card she said there was a weird message that popped up in her system they had been having system issues all day and if it needed to get processed again she would let me know the next day. Ok no big deal system issues happen, but I never heard from her and checked my account and could see my card had not been charged. Gave it 48 hours and reached out to her to then find out I needed to call the credit card company. They said they couldn’t approve the purchase unless the shipping address and billing address was the same (billing address was an old address) so I updated the address. Got told two different delivery estimated dates by Brenda neither of them were accurate. Finally got a call that our delivery was scheduled for today, Friday and that we would receive a call 24-48 hours before delivery to confirm the time. Never did we receive that call. When my fiancé called today turns out the furniture was on its way to an old address that we’ve never had furniture delivered to before. It was an apartment we never ended up moving into which we told Ashley furniture that was no longer our address. My fiancé was then told that the delivery may or may not happen today no one knew and to call back later. When he called back they said the only way to update the address was to go into the store. Absolutely ridiculous considering we weren’t updating an address ! They had our current address the whole time. It got worse when I went into the store. Whoever helped me did not get his name was rude and acted like it was our fault that there was a mix up because of the address dilemma. Instead of offering an apology, he tried to place blame on me. He also stated Ashley doesn’t call to verify the delivery address before it gets sent out which just seems ridiculous because had they done that this whole situation could have been avoided. Now I won’t get the couch for another week which also seems totally insane to me considering they were going to deliver it today and the old address and new address are about 8 minutes apart. Don’t understand why an error on ashleys end gets my delivery date pushed back by another 6 days. Awful experience and will not be purchasing from this store again.

The delivery people were fine. However, they couldn't set up the bed because the bed slats weren't there. When I called the number given me for customer service, the phone kept hanging up on me. I called the store where we bought the bed and the salesperson said they forgot to order the slats, even though our order form showed they were bought and paid for. Now we have to wait another week before the bed can be put together. The best they could do for us is be gracious enough not to charge another delivery fee???

One word - AMAZING. “Cam” was awesome! Went in needing an entire house full of furniture and Cam was simply the best. Outgoing, friendly personality - it was like working with a friend than a salesperson. She listened to my wants and needs and never, not once pressured me or steered me Into something that I wasn’t looking for. I would absolutely go back but I’d insist on working with Cam. She made spending that much money enjoyable and fun - and my house will be incredibly beautiful when it’s done!! THANK YOU CAM!!!
We've had the worse customer service experience with this store. I do not recommend ordering anything from this store, especially if you are looking for items to be delivered on time. I understand that things are backed up or things get broken, but at least give your costumers a call with an explanation. They also charged us for an item without calling to confirm we wanted it or if the item was the right size. Both my husband and I have contacted the store and 1-800 number and we have been passed around with no call back. Very unprofessional!
We ordered a couch, chair, bed and base on Valentines day weekend. We were told that 16 weeks was worst case scenario due to supply issues. On August 2nd I was sent a message to set up delivery of the last piece. On August 7th the store contacted me and said that my financing had expired and the couch that we had ordered had been put on layaway status which meant it could be sold to someone else. I said I would pay for it with cash on the next day as we had been waiting for 6 months and I did not want to lose this matching piece to something that we already had delivered. We went and paid for the couch in full the next day and were told that delivery would not be possible until the 23rd of August at the earliest. The entire experience has been a nightmare. My wife and I are both nurses and I have been a Firefighter for over 20 years. I was not disrespectful at all and we were treated (by company policy, not by the employee) as though we were unimportant and our satisfaction meant nothing to the company. If you are looking, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.
I purchased a sofa and it was scuffed on both ends at delivery. Have been trying for a week and a half to get the resolution promised by the manager. Haven't gotten resolution, can't get people to return my calls and customer service numbers let you hold long enough they automatically cut you off. Do not recommend buying from Ashley
Jennifer is the best. She was so patient with us while we sat on almost every recliner before we picked the first one she showed us. Will buy there again. Only thing that I didn't like was the text to set up delivery. It should say hi this is Ashley Furniture. It says Ashley, then the text. So it looks like it not for you. Too many scams going on so I did not click on the text and lost my delivery date.

I worked with Daniel; he was amazing. We have purchased from Ashley’s Furniture before and had a very bad experience, but he assured us the Cookeville, TN office would honor every promise made; that put our minds to rest. My husband and I are extremely picky and I know we took much longer to make our final decision but he was patient and respectful. I look forward to working with him again.

The furniture is nice but the delivery was awful. Had to call the store to find out when my couches are going to be delivered. They were nearly 2 hours past the estimated time. Then pushed the new couch off the truck. Luckily it was in a box but still worried about the frame.
I've always enjoyed ashley furniture and even more so after my experience with the ashley store in cookeville, TN and the sales gal named Jennifer. She was such a delight to work with and considering im needing furniture for a whole house after moving across the country she made everything about my order easy!

Waiting on hold for up to 20+ minutes every time. Couch was supposed to be delivered today, but we can't set that up since no one will answer the phone. Very, very disappointing. I just bought a new house and needed expert advice to furnish it, I saw a beautiful dining set in Ashley’s furniture so I went there. Camilla was excellent, she helped me chose the right sizes and color patiently of all the furniture I bought. I had great service, 25% discount, 5 years to pay with NO interest, free delivery and awesome furniture!! 🥳 6 months later, Camila messed up my order so I never received 25% discount, I ended up paying $700+ for delivery, it took 3 months to deliver and prices on line are way cheaper than at the store. Ashleys’ furniture store is off my shopping list forever 😡

Horrible customer service. I will never purchase from them again and I don't recommend them to anyone. It took months to receive my furniture and when the saleswoman ordered the wrong piece I was told I couldn't return but I could swap for something I did want. At this point all I want is to not deal with them ever again. I reported their mistake within the 72 hour time frame (actually the same day) but they don't have a "record" of that...but I do. Never again... The sales woman is an angel until after the sale is made...You've been warned.

This is the worst place to buy furniture. We waited 5 months for our furniture from back order then they called and set up a date and time to bring it out. The driver took a picture of our road and said it was undeliverable. We have had no furniture for almost a week and we had company from Illinois come in. Then today they delivered in the same truck that was not supposed to be able to come down our road bring 1 of 2 pieces of my furniture. The driver told us the other piece will not be here till the 21 it is on backorder. The worst 😫 company to deal with.

It's been going on a year since we first ordered our last furniture from Ashley. It was a horrible and expensive decision. We've purchased from Ashley in Cookeville before and several times paid cash straight out like we did this last time along with having some pieces financed over the years. This instance, we ordered furniture for our new home in advance to be able to set our delivery to correlate with our move in. We had a delivery date set up and Ashley texted to let us know that they were on their way once the delivery date arrived. First off, we had it delivered because two bedrooms we ordered furniture for was trundle beds and we did not know how to put these together and we needed the assembly. The drivers arrived and left everything sitting in the floor and left after leaving much damage to our brand new house. They claimed they did not have the hardware to assemble our furniture that it was left at the store but they were coming back to assemble. I immediately called and complained about the issues and was told they were about 30 minutes away returning and we also discussed the damages. Never saw them again. We wound up sleeping on the floor with our grandkids on mattresses the next few days trying to get the hardware and get Ashley to return. Getting someone to talk to was difficult because once they deliver your furniture, your order is removed from the CS system you are set up with and the number they give you to call can no longer help you so then you go in this chaotic circle of trying to find someone to assist you with your problem. Finally reaching someone at the store and speaking with a manager regarding the damage. After several days another contracted team was sent out to assemble our furniture. I had submitted images of the damage and was told it was turned in. This was in August 2021. Fast forward to 11/2021 still no resolution. When I texted the manager I was speaking with to ask for an update he said he still hadn't heard anything back yet. I submitted pictures, an estimate, and paid cash for 3 beds, 2 of which were trundles, a living room set, a rug and received the worst service and treatment I've ever had. I'm 50 years old. I've ordered furniture from local owned stores, online which had to be assembled, from Ashley several times even from private sellers online and at yard sales and this is just the most unacceptable purchase I've ever made. It's astounding. There was damage to one of the beds. We were offered a replacement but didn't want to go through the nightmare of another delivery and going without beds again but no discount or anything was applied or offered. Damaged our floor which now we can't get the same flooring so we either have to live with it, rig it, carpet it or replace the whole house so it matches. Damage to our sheet rock, which is textured, so even if we could fix it ourselves we don't have the equipment to do the textured walls. This was a nightmare. We've never owned a brand new house before and this along with the furniture should have been a good experience for us but it wasn't. And the unprofessional-ism of just being ignored and our money taken without any reimbursement for issues and damages is not only frustrating but embarrassing. It's the last time Ashley gets a dime from us. 10 months and I'm still fuming over giving them thousands of dollars to be treated like trash. Go to DT McCalls or pay a little extra to go to Badcock. You can order the same furniture from anyone so don't give your money here.
I do not recommend. I realize that there are delays in shipping but they do not communicate! My husband kept calling to get information about our order and they do not help. When he said to cancel the order they delivered part of our furniture. Doesn’t make sense. Maybe we will get the rest of our furniture one day. Have had zero updates on it and have been waiting 5 months.
We just moved into the area from living in a motor coach for the past 9 years so needless to say, we had no furniture. Ashley Furniture Store in Cookeville, TN was awesome. We found a great sectional that looks awesome in our living room. Alissa Caiazzo was great to deal with and very accommodating to finding just the right fit for us. She even brought my husband's service dog, Loki, water because we were in the store longer than we expected. We were there so long that Loki fell asleep while we were deciding between the two different sectionals. Your furniture is THAT comfortable!The deciding factor for us was (the one we chose) it was the floor model so it was marked down even more than the Memorial Day sale and as an added bonus, their was a guy there at the store that could deliver it that evening! So thank you Ashley Furniture Store and Alissa Caiazzo for helping us furnish our new to us home. It's really starting to feel like home now.
Additional comments to my 5/11/2022 review. Finally much of the furniture arrived and the delivery personnel had no problem finding our address.We saw a damaged chair and told the delivery truck personnel and they said just tell the Ashley Customer service personnel when they call to see how the delivery went. No call.Ashley's customer service BOT replied to my initial review with a number that goes to the same lack of customer service phone with the long waits and to people who can do nothing to fix the issue. I'd like to discuss this with Ashley management but not sure there is a manager in the country.

Camilla was a great salesperson. Found her to be a good listener when we told her what we were looking for. She was then very intuitive in her choices in what she showed us to look at. Not a used car salesman in that she didn't bully or otherwise push is into buying things we didn't want or need. She met us as soon as we entered the store and attentivly stuck with us the entire time untill we were done. I hope Ashley's delivery and set up are as good and problem/issue free as the purchasing experience was.

Ashley sells furniture that they don't have. We waited 6 months for table legs because just the table top was delivered. We waited at home all day for "ghost" orders....nothing came and the warehouse just said oops. No one could get us those legs. Store visits and texts yielded no response except that others have waited a year for their stuff. No one cared if we could use the table or not and they continued to sell that table to others knowing they couldn't get it. After finally telling them forget it, we ordered it in Oct and now it's May, we want our money back, we could miraculously get the floor model because the table is discontinued. Done with Ashley. They don't call you back or even answer their phones. After their people picked up the partial dinning room set, we have no idea how they are crediting us..no word and no calls returned. Frustrating experience.

I would give this store and this company a negative star if I could. After waiting 5 months for furniture, I was told it would be another 2 months. At that point I decided to cancel the order and could not get it cancelled through the store so I called the home office and was told someone from the store would call me to verify cancellation in 3 days. No phone call from the store, I texted the Manager Joe for confirmation 2 weeks later and was confirmed of cancellation. I was a first time customer with Ashley furniture and would not go back to any store. Their customers service from the salesperson to the corporate office is horrible, if I treated my customers like this I would be out of a job!
The staff at the Cookeville store was patient and helpful. They really made the experience of trying to furnish our home less stressful and much more fun.

I'd never purchase anything from Ashley again. I ordered and paid for my furniture in July, they said mid October for delivery. I know everything is backed up so I said ok. I called in mid October and was told mid November. I called in mid November and was told it would be in the warehouse December 31st. I called to check if it was in warehouse and was told it would be delivered to my house on January 6th. I just called and was told it would be mid February. Nope give me my money back. I cancelled my order. I will not give my money to a company that lies to their customers that much and allows their employees to lie to customers. They had plenty of chances to be honest. One of the worst companies I've ever dealt with. Avoid them at all cost.

Terrible terrible! We paid for an item in July and is Jan now and we still don’t have it. Each month they say “it’ll be here next month”. NOPE it isn’t here! Ridiculous….I prob will never buy from Ashley furniture again. We came in to buy another piece of our sectional and wellll look at that they no longer make it as of 4 months ago. The sectional is only 4 yrs old…
Manger was very helpful didn't push any specific product to get you to pay top dollar to increase sells. Actually cared about style wanted. Didn't hover over you like alot of commission sells personal do let you pick out a piece and gave you details on possible deals and also very knowledgeable.

Our sales Lady Jennifer was awesome. When we received our table, the wrong hardware was included. Delivery guys told us they would make note of it but to go to the store and let them know. Talked to the guy that handles delivery and he said he would call the warehouse and let us know if they had the hardware or if it would have to be ordered. This was mid November 2021 and we still haven’t heard from them. Had to look up the assembly directions for the table and go to Lowes to buy the bolts.
I walked in and chose the bed I wanted. I was okay with the wait times, I was okay with the saleswoman never wanting to help me, and I am even okay with the spam mail I get all the time… but a bed I paid $1,000 breaks after 1year… poor design and poor materials.

Absolutely garbage 1 bed set not bedroom set just bed set supposed to be 1 delivery we've had 3 and still my son is on his old mattress on the floor this has now been ongoing for over a month now and the next delivery still won't have everything.

I was in search of a oversized recliner. I had looked at other stores that stocked them, but did not like. I decided to go to Ashley’s home store in cookeville. My sales person, Jennifer was very knowledgeable and helpful. I sat in different ones till I found one that I liked. It was fabric, motorized, very comfortable and most important, both grandkids can sit with me comfortably. Very impressed with whole process. Recommend this store to all looking for furniture.

We purchased a couch, love seat and sofa table from our local store. We were given a specific time and date for their arrival. We have received multiple conflicting details as to the time and details of when our furniture was to be delivered. Apparently, there is a disconnect between corporate and local retailors. Repeat calls to callus or confused phone operators have added to the confusion. DON'T SHOP AT ASHLEY'S HOMESTORE.
The salesman Rob was attentive and tried to match our needs / wants. He didn’t try to be a typical salesman, only trying to get the sale for the highest price. He was terrific and when we need anything else you’ll bet we will make our purchases through him and this store!

Ashley furniture store should be ashamed of itself. My elderly parents purchased a set of electric recliners,, with warranty and insurance, and both are not working. They've made repeated calls, to have a service man come out with the parts, and fix them. My stepdad can't even get up and down out of the chair, and can barely walk. He needs this chair to help lift him up to his feet. Ashley Furniture took their money, and won't help them.
Chair leg split after a year and 2 months of owning our new dining room. Their team was very attentive to the problem and worked quickly to get a resolution. We will be back.

This review is purely about Ashley in general, not the Cookeville, TN store. I ordered a 12 inch Chime foam mattress in a box. Got it in 2 days from Amazon, followed the instructions, laid on it 1 night and decided that it was way too hard, so I went back and re-read the description- Medium Firm, well my fault so I ordered another one but in "Ultra-Plush"!! Waited 8 weeks to get it and wouldn't you know that it feels the exact same as the other one!! Apparently, Ashley has NO IDEA what an Ultra Plush mattress feels like cause THIS ain't it!!
Worst experience ever. Ordered what is their most high end bedroom set online and had a delivery date of a few days. Have been told 5 different delivery dates since then and still no delivery. Had no problem taking my money but cannot deliver what I paid for. Where I come from that is called stealing!!! STAY AWAY DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEYBWITH THIS COMPANY!!!!!

Our Ashley in Cookeville was great. They have a huge selection and we were torn between a few options for a new couch. The couch we picked will be delivered soon and we are excited to have it. The staff in the store were extremely friendly and attentive and when it came to checking out our associate was very fast. We will most likely be going back in the near future for another piece.
I'm certain all the good reviews you see on google are from customers who have just shopped in store and not yet been through the process of receiving their furniture. We had a great experience in store, very friendly salesmen, helped us with whatever we asked, and we got the perfect couch. We shopped in April, we were told we likely wouldn't receive our sectional until June. Our saleswoman told me I could text her any time of day, even if she wasn't working she would respond and help me. We come to the end of June and hadn't heard anything regarding the delivery of our sectional. I text our sales person asking when it would be delivered, she said "I'm not working, text me tomorrow". I text her the next day, she responded with "July 15". She did not indicate this was an estimate. July 14 rolls around, I have not heard anything, I text her to ask what the status is. She says "Call the store". So, I call the store to find out our delivery date is now estimated for the middle of August. I ask the man I spoke with why it keeps getting pushed out, he explains they have no control over this, don't know the dates until they're told by the manufacturer, etc. I understand that. But then I ask why no one has been in touch with me to let me know the multiple times the dates have changed. He said my sales person should have been contacting me every two weeks to give me updates, I let him know she had not done this and was not very responsive when I did reach out. August comes around, we receive a call that our couch will be ready for delivery in a few days. I schedule the delivery, it was delivered on time, however the chase of our sectional was missing the feet. The third party delivery service said they would try to find out where they were, in the meantime we call the Cookeville store to see if they can resolve this quickly. The first woman we talk to sounded very exasperated and annoyed by us calling, said we'd have to talk to the manager, he wasn't in yet, was running late, etc. Two or three hours go by, I call back and the manager answers. He also has a very exasperated tone with us, but says he's trying to get in touch with the warehouse to see if they can get the feet for our sectional and let me know he'd call me back the next day. The next day, it was afternoon and I still had not heard anything, so I call back. Again, a not very friendly tone, says if the warehouse doesn't have the feet it could be MONTHS before we receive them. He says he'll call me back, but turns out he doesn't even have my correct phone number. The next day he calls me back, says the warehouse does not have them, so he has ordered them for us, he has no idea when they will arrive, but if we haven't gotten them in 2 weeks call back. Thankfully, we received them in the mail within a few days. We're very happy with our sectional and the quality and style. I understand those that work at a particular store have no control over product availability, but the communication and customer service we received from this store was so poor. We paid in full upfront, it's very unsettling to feel like you've wasted your money. I also don't expect a salesperson to be available via text 24/7, but that was the expectation she presented, basically requesting I text her instead of call, only for her to be pretty much unresponsive. To Ashely Homestore cooperate - do better about product availability and dates. It puts those that work at local stores in a terrible position for not having an answer for their customers and they receive the backlash.

This store is an absolute joke. Terrible customer service, waited five months for a couch just to show up with half the feet missing. Now we’re waiting in their words “weeks” just for them to deliver the rest of the feet. Very rude on the phone and act like you’re wasting their time. Absolutely awful people running this store.

I went to our local Ashley HomeStore looking for a Tyler Creek bookshelf. I had looked online. The online price was less than the one in the store! The girl made sure that I was given a discount that made the price lower than the online price! I was just in awe! To top off the already great deal, they let me have the floor model! So, not only did I get a great deal but I didn't have to put it together! Double lucky for me today! I absolutely love the Tyler Creek collection. I had two associates that helped me find the right bench for my bedroom outfit set that I purchased from Ashley. (The Willowton) They were very helpful and informative. I have found an end table that I would like to add to my living room outfit. Instead of ordering it online, I will go to the store in person so the girls can get the commission. I can't recommend Ashley stores enough.

We bought a dining room table in January and when delivered we noticed the top was chipped, corner broken, warped hinges, and knobs missing from side drawer. We immediately called the 800 number and were told a technician would come repair it. We told them that repairing a brand new $1,200 table was not acceptable so they agreed to send a new table top for us to install ourselves. After a few months of waiting we were notified the delivery guys noticed the replacement was damaged and we were told we they would ship another one. A few more months have gone by after they keep postponing and we still haven’t received it. Delivery is supposedly August 21st. Ashley has refused to refund the table through this whole process. We are building a new house and Ashley furniture will not be in it unless they make this right. We furnished our entire house in 2018 with Ashley furniture. They obviously don’t appreciate their return customers.
The salesperson was very helpful and assisted me promptly regarding my purchase. Ashley had exactly what I have been looking for in bar stools. I was pleased with the purchase and the store.

Camilla is wonderful to work with. We had to furnish an entire house and she put the time and effort into helping us. Unfortunately several pieces have come damaged. Camilla has been working hard with us to correct these issues.

Buyers beware! If you cancel your order because of long delivery dates or any other reason you may never see your refund for weeks and weeks. I was told they were bought by a Canadian company, which why is this relavent, they have had my money since 4/2/21...they are the first company I have ever done business with that don't issue refunds at store level no matter how you pay, they make you wait weeks and weeks, it won't do you any good to call corporate office they won't help you either they claim it took two weeks to process and 30 days more to receive. I will never shop with Ashley again, and will be calling the bbb!

I visited Ashley’s this morning and found a sofa and recliner set I liked so I brought my husband back this evening to try it out. We decided to purchase it. Brenda was fantastic! Not knowing what to expect about Ashley’s we heard a discount store might match their prices so we decided to go to Ashley’s in Cookeville, TN. We were browsing when a nice lady approached us asking if we had any questions to let her know, that her name was Brenda. As we shopped, we realized their furniture was amazing and prices were reasonable enough so we continued around the store. We found a kitchen island that we really liked, then a dining table that matched. As soon as I looked up I saw Brenda smile and head our way knowing we must have a question. I have to say, Brenda was not pushy, extremely knowledgeable on all their items and immediately figured out our style and taste. She asked us to follow her and showed us exactly what we were looking for and we couldn’t have been more excited. It was so nice having someone as professional as Brenda help us because we found everything we wanted but more elegant for less then we expected to spend all because of that amazing, wonderful sales professional named Brenda. Everything is ordered and we understand because of COVID items may take longer then usual but that is out of Brendas hands. Our questions regarding furniture construction and quality were met with thorough and supportive answers from the sales person who greeted us. The process of seeking and buying any product can become tedious for a number of reasons, but not so with our experience at Ashley,…quite the opposite. Our shopping ‘mission’ was accomplished, and we left with great satisfaction for both the purchase and our experience with our Ashley representative.

I've been more than considerate while waiting on my furniture. I ordered furniture back in November 2020 and was told there would be a delay on some items and I would receive them the 2nd week of February. Here it is May of 2021 and my furniture was suppose to be delivered today , May 1st . Not only did they not deliver my furniture today ,I never received a call ,email , text or anything saying it wasn't going to deliver . I expected better service from Ashley Furniture of Cookeville but that didn't happen . Time is most valuable to me and I waited around all evening for this deliver , very unthoughtful and very disrespectful .. I'll never deal with Ashley Furniture of Cookeville again , horrible experience and the only reason I gave them a star is , there's nothing any lower . Not only will I never deal with Ashley Furniture, I'll never deal with any of the people I dealt with at Ashley Furniture, regardless where they work . I would be ashamed to do business like they do and I honestly don't see how there sales team can look the customers in the eyes . Pathetic

We had a very welcoming experience at Ashley’s Home Center in Cookeville. We came in late after a birthday supper and found the perfect, all leather recliner. Our salesperson, Katie, was the best. We were approved immediately and took advantage of the 12 mo same as cash with 15% savings and a five year warranty if not used transfers to a store credit on next purchase. What a selection and we will be back.

Absolutely one of the worst customer experiences I have ever had. Do not recommend using them. They will give you false information while waiting on furniture to come and find out that your piece has been discontinued. I didn’t even receive my full return and was basically told there was nothing they could do about it.
My husband and I went in looking for 2 new couches and left with a new bedroom suite, mattress, mattress protector, and 2 new pillows. Our sales person, Jonathan, was very patient with us and helped fulfill our wants. We will for sure be back in the future.
Me and my fiancé where looking around for furniture in cookeville. We went to every furniture store to try and find a mattress and couldn’t find one for as soon as we needed. As we went to Ashley Homestore and shortly after we went in we were greeted with a very polite and warm welcome by Breanna. We were unsure of what we were wanting and had explained that we recently lost our home to a fire and that we was looking for a new mattress. Brianna and Mary were both very eager to help us. Also very knowledgeable about their mattresses and helped find the perfect mattress for us. Brianna, Mary, and the rest of the staff helped to get us fast delivery to get it as soon as we needed it. Experience was good. We found what we were looking for, which was basically a livingroom set with tables, tv stand, and sectional couch. I would have gave 5 stars but it's going to take like 3 months for us to get the furniture. That's not cool... thanks covid. Anyway, looking forward to getting it. The staff didn't bother us in an overwhelming way. She was actually pretty helpful, she dragged tables over to a TV stand that was in a nother location in the store just so my girlfriend could do a side by side comparison. So that was nice of her. Anyway, we will see how long this furniture lasts once we get it. Get that protection plan, yall!!! Peace

I can say this had been the worst service experience I had in my life. My husband and I bought furniture from our new house last January, super excited about it. However, something as simple as purchasing furniture has become a nightmare. On the 1st delivery, we had a Montessori house frame for our baby. The delivery guy refuses to put it together because he doesn't know how to do it; even when we paid for the delivery services, they refuse to do it, so my husband has to do it. Then after 2 months of waiting, we have had nothing but lies about our delivery date. When we were at the store buying, we were persuaded to buy in-store instead of online because they were supposed to make partial deliveries and because of that we were supposed to have our furniture faster. Please, people don't believe that. Now that I already bought it, they refused to do me partial deliveries because they said they don't do partial deliveries anymore. Last week, I lost half day of work because I supposed to have a partial delivery from them; I even received the text messages confirming the delivery, and they never showed up. Then when I called nobody knew anything. They have a huge mess and horrible customer service. Last week, I received a text message from one of the salespeople because I was supposed to have a delivery tomorrow, March 9th. Today, I called them, and they already changed it again to the 17. I'm really desperate about getting my furniture.

Absolutely terrible experience! Our furniture was pushed back constantly for three months! The customer service at the store was atrocious. No one would keep in contact or keep us updated on the status of our order. We had to call and check every few weeks and when we did call the staff was extremely rude and not helpful at all. Will never buy here again and will warn everyone I know to stay away. Next time I buy furniture I will spend my hard earned money somewhere else. If I could rate this horrible place any lower I would without hesitation. Update: We just now got our furniture delivered and they forgot half of our bed at the warehouse and now I have to go pick it up because this company is to incompetent to do their job!!!

Ashley Home Store sells cheaply made furniture for an increased price. I do not recommend wasting your money here. This $1500 couch was made from particle board and staples. Nothing that anchors and no reinforcement whatsoever. Update: I have to say that the customer service department came through. They replaced the broken piece in a very timely manner. It was very unorganized and everyone I spoke with seemed to have no idea what was going on but they did replace it. Now it looks off because that one piece is new and the rest is older. We will also still have to reinforce this furniture so that it will not break in the future because it is still manufactured poorly.
I went in thinking I wanted one thing but when I saw the great selection I left with a different look I love!! Big thanks to Kate for helping me and making the purchase so easy! They even moved furniture around in the store so I could see what the combination would look like! Such a great experience!

UPDATE 5/10/21.....WE STILL HAVE NO TABLE...ITS BEEN SINCE FEBRUARY THE TABLE WAS ORDERED, IT WAS FINALLY DELIVERED IN APRIL (A WEEK LATER THAN SCHEDULED DELIVERY) THE TABLE AND 3 OF THE CHAIRS WERE DAMAGED, CALLED ASHLEY, HAD TO TAKE PICTURES AND EMAIL THE COMPANY AND HAD TO CALL AGAIN AND HAD TO REPEAT THE PROBLEMS AND ISSUES AND FINALLY MADE A DECISION TO REPLACE THE TABLE AND CHAIRS. LONG STORY SHORT REPLACED TABLE WITH ANOTHER TABLE WITH MORE DAMAGE. CALLED AGAIN AND HAD TO GO BY THE STORE TO GET ANSWERS, THEY AGREED TO REPLACE THE TABLE ONCE AGAIN AND I'M CURRENTLY ON HOLD WITH DELIVERY BECAUSE NOT ONLY IS THIS THE THIRD TABLE THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THEY HAVE RESCHEDULED THE DELIVERY OF THE 3RD TABLE. THIS HAS BEEN THE BIGGEST HEADACHE AND I WILL NEVER BUY FROM ASHLEY FURNITURE AGAIN! Our sales lady was very nice and knowledgeable about the products in the store especially with the mattress we purchased. We also had the manager helping us as well and he was extremely helpful. Our mattress is suppose to be delivered this week but unfortunately the dining table will be toward the end of March and that's not guaranteed. I'm disappointed in that but service was excellent

I bought a kitchen table and chairs at the end of August, here it is the end of January, Still NO Table and Chairs, Ashley was going to deliver it today but just got a call to reschedule my delivery, said I was delayed for a Credit check, We paid for it the same day we picked it out, Plus just paid off the other $14,000 dollars. Worth of Furniture, They sure didn't put a delay on that deal, I WILL NEVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ASHLEY'S AGAIN, That's BAD Business People. They better make good on this one cause I will never walk back inside one of their Store's again

So disappointed with our experience. My wife and I purchased 2 recliner sofas from the Cookeville location on November 17, 2020. We were notified later that the delivery would be on December 23rd. During the delivery, one of the sofas was found to be damaged. with a broken board on the bottom rear. We accepted delivery on the one, but refused the damaged one. We attempted to reach out to the Cookeville store immediately but could never get anyone to answer the phone. The very next week I received a call from the delivery service that they were ready to deliver our new sofa. I specifically asked the caller if the sofa was new or if they had simply attempted to repair the original one. She assured me that damaged units were disposed of and not re-sold as new. Second delivery attempt was made yesterday. When the driver started to unload he said the sofa was damaged. Not only was it damaged but..... it was the same sofa they had originally sent out. I refused the unit again. I then attempted to call the store and could only reach voice mail. I called the delivery service and explained the situation and was told they would have a supervisor call me within 3 hours. 24 hours later.... no response. Tried the store this morning 1/8/2021 10:30 AM. Answered by automated. Press any other number other than sales and it goes to a call center. Select sales and it goes to voice mail. Ended up with the call center AGAIN and told them I would like to schedule a pick up and a refund due to the issues. I would love to blame this on Covid but this is just terrible customer service especially from my local retailer....... UPDATE.... Finally visited the store in person again and explained what had happened to our sales person. They called the warehouse who found a new sofa for us and scheduled to deliver it the following week. Delivered on January 13........ DAMAGED. One side of the recliner will not come out due to being bent. The driver asked me to not refuse it but to instead take it and let then exchange it. We noted everything on the delivery receipt. No response since (1 week later). Have e-mailed our case information to Ashley and would love to hear from someone..... but I'm not hopeful

Ashley in Cookeville, Tn was the first store we stopped at while trying to find new living room furniture. We looked at ALOT of different pieces at different stores, near and far from us, including other Ashley stores. We wound up going back to Ashley in Cookeville. The staff there are so knowledgeable and helpful. They took the time to talk with us about what we needed and wanted from our purchase. We have found our "go to" store for our furniture needs.

The staff at the Ashley HomeStore in Cookeville, TN was so very friendly. We were allowed to browse freely with no high pressure sales, yet there was always someone near by to answer questions. We purchased a new couch with chaise. Our sales lady Camilla was very informative and really knew the product. Overall we were very pleased with our experience and are now anxiously awaiting our new furniture.
I really don't like to do this but I must say how utterly disappointed I am with Ashley's. I have reached out many times to get updates on my delivery that was ordered in October. I have received one item and still await the table and chairs. Initially they were to be delivered in time for Thanksgiving. Then pushed to before Christmas. Then pushed to Christmas Eve. Then finally pushed until January maybe. I have canceled the order and have scheduled the pick up of the piece that I did receive. No attempt to make it right. We had a wonderful experience when we furnished our home three years ago. Guess that was the honeymoon phase. I will never shop at any Ashley home store again and I will recommend to anyone I can to shop local and support local businesses. Totally disappointed and if I could have rated zero stars, that would have been too high.

We have been waiting on furniture since August 1st. We have been told multiple times it would be in soon. We have finally been told it would be delivered today, all of it. Only one piece was delivered by a subcontractor that couldn't help me. I have called and cannot get a hold of anyone at the Cookeville store and all that the customer service line tells me is that it will not be delivered today and there is nothing we can do about it.

Told my furniture would be delivered end of oct or first of nov. it’s is dec 18 got part of it now having to wait till the middle of Jan. to get the rest!Will never buy from them again!!!! This used to be a great pace to buy furniture I’ve bought quite a bit here, and recently tried to purchase something they told me to wait on 2 pieces and it would take 12 weeks I paid for the furniture then waited patiently, after 12 weeks nothing I went down there, they told each I needed everything and it would be 12 more weeks. Which really didn’t sit right with me told them o want a refund they made me wait 20 days for my money back. Which really didn’t sit right either. I will never shop here again and would not recommend anyone else to either. The staff don’t seem to know what’s going on either and will not return your calls. Go to Badcock or Morgan furniture instead.
Mary Helen was very helpful. She helped us find our bedroom furniture, dining room table and chairs, sofa and chair plus our mattresses. She spent a lot of time with us and we felt very comfortable making our purchases. We recommend Ashley for their lovely furniture and wonderful staff!

Bought a dining room table set From Cookville Tn. Store. We were lucky enough to have had a young lady help us (Kate) who was knowledgable and willing to ask questions or research answers when needed. She was able to get us a great price as well. Due to COVID we will have to wait a bit for our purchase so our total experience with Ashley HomeStore is not complete at this time.

I ordered furniture late July. I only received part of my order late October. Part of the remaining order had to be canceled last week, and I was advised I would have to wait up to 20 days, at least for a refund. The remainder of the order delivery date has been pushed out several times. With the last confirmed delivery I was not notified that delivery would not be coming and I had to call Ashley Store to follow up. I still have not received the reminder of my order. Honestly, I have never received communication from Ashley in regards to the “challenges” of my order unless I initiated the call for follow up. The only response I have received from the store is “this is just way things are”, “I can’t offer you any other explanation”, “I can’t help my customers at this level, Ashley has taken that out of my hands”. My correspondence has been with Dave to this point. I will never stray from DTMcalls again. Do not order from this store. Customer service is essential!

The staff we encountered today at the Cookeville store was the friendliest staff we’ve ever encountered at this location. We knew what we went in for, we sorta changed our minds (but because of the deals that were offered) we couldn’t pass it up! We will be back!

I’ve ordered a living room set and bedroom suite from here. I have been waiting over two months for someone to come out and deliver the bedroom suite and 5+ months for someone to come repair the sofa!! I can’t even get someone to answer the phone at the Cookeville location so that I can get a refund for the bedroom I haven’t received yet.
Went looking for a new sofa and found just what I wanted. Had a wonderful sales person named Jennifer who got me the color I wanted and made everything easy.
Went there looking for a Sofa for our home.(Camper) Although we wanted something immediately, a lady there was Super Helpful at giving us options because we had a specific type, measurement for the small space we needed it for. Didn't get anything because we impatient though.

While the furniture is very nice and what we wanted. The customer service is atrocious! They forgot wires, hooks, and sold us a faulty battery. While all this wouldn't be so bad if I could reach them by phone to fix the problem. I have called numerous times and NOBODY I mean effing NOBODY picks up the phone. I was on hold for 45 minutes until the automatic caller hung up on me (I called them 4 different times, never actually speaking to anybody). Do not shop here unless you want to go inside every time because nobody can pick up the effing phone!
Went in to mattress shop best experience of all places I tried to buy mattress from not only did sales lady explain all Mattresses but actually explained sleep 💤 took her time and was very helpful purchased king split Tempru pedic can’t wait to get it .... went to sleep outfitters prior to Ashley ... they wouldn’t let us even try one out ... Updating my review. Out of frustration and disbelief. I placed my order over two months ago and didn't receive any information or updates on my order until a few days ago. I had tried to call the store multiple times and got through to no one. I tried calling the corporate number and got through to no one. I sent emails and didn't get a response. I am completely aware that with covid things are taking longer than expected. I had to come into the store to figure out when my furniture would be delivered to me. And the sales representative couldn't even tell me. Just got a you should know by August 30th. I finally received a text two months after ordering. Letting me pick my delivery date. Which mind you is almost three months after ordering my furnirture. To then receive a text telling me. That there is no foreseen delivery date now. And I won't get an update until 9/19. I call the 1800 number and finally get through to someone. For her to tell me that I won't receive a new delivery date option until 9/30. Which now puts me at waiting for my sectional for four months. I just bought my first home and have no furniture in my living room. And I'm not being told when I will have my furnirture. And that four months isn't even gaurenteed at this point. And that if I want to cancel my order. I will have to pay a 10% restocking/cancellation fee. For a sectional that isn't even available or on it's way to me. So I'm being penalized and having to pay $108. And I'm told it's in the contract and to essentially get over it. That there is no one else I can talk to. And the situation will not be made right for me. I will never buy furniture from Ashley furniture again. I have been treated so poorly. We decided to order from another very well know furniture store. I received updates immediately. And I am getting my sectional 2 weeks after ordering from them. For anyone else waiting and being treated terrible by Ashley furniture I'm sorry. Just pay the cancellation fee and go somewhere else.

From the time I originally went in to look for a new bedroom set, Kristopher (Kris) was really friendly and helpful. I returned the following day with my spouse to place the order and to have it shipped. Both Kris and the store manager were amazing as the shipping address is in Oak Lawn, IL and we ordered it from the Cookeville store. Both gentlemen were friendly and incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. Sadly, Kris is leaving his employment here at Ashley in Cookeville, I wish him all the best and his new employer is getting one heck of a good employee. His customer service stills are top notch along with the remaining GM of Ashley in Cookeville.

The worst customer service I have ever seen in my life!!!!! Me and my husband and mother in law placed our order at the end of May 2020. My mother in law put down $5000 dollars on our furniture the order was delayed until July, then August and now September and we are cancelling the order and you want to charge us 10% for cancellation. Everyone at the Cookeville store is horrible and rude when you try.to call them and have to wait 30 minutes before they answer you. We WILL NOT BE PAYING A CANCELLATION FEE AND WE WILL GET A FULL REFUND and if we don't you will be hearing from our lawyer !!!!!!
My family and I have used Ashley Homestore to furnish our home many times. We have never been disappointed, and today was no exception. The worker did not try to talk us into something else or give us something we did not want. She helped us get exactly what we needed!

I wanted to brag on Jennifer for just a moment! Today, me and mom went into Ashley’s in Cookeville, TN and met Jennifer! Our experience today was phenomenal, and Jennifer is THE BEST! She was the kindest, so sweet, and she KNOWS what she is talking about. It is hard to find people who are personable, and can communicate well and she was both! From the time we seen her, to the time we left she kept a genuine smile on her face! Needless to say, we left with the prettiest and coziest couch, and we will be going back for the rest of our future furniture! She sold us on a tempur- pedic bed! Jennifer is the most amazing sales person ever! My first visit was with a friend, who was looking for an office chair. I went back with my husband the next day just to look around and get ideas for a new living room set. Jennifer came over after we had a chance to look around. She was so professional, helpful and NOT PUSHY that we found a couple of things we really liked. A week later, she let us know that our favorites were on sale for 25% off!! We weren't ready to commit yet. Just a couple of days ago, she reached out again & this time the time was right! We are so grateful to her and for her! I believe that no matter how much she is getting paid, she deserves a raise! When a company finds an associate this valuable, they should do what ever it takes to not only retain them, but make them to know that they are valued. We will definitely be back!
The experience in the store was great however placed an order over a month ago and still not received. Was suppose to be delivered on 6/2/20 and then was rescheduled for 6/6/20. Got a call today to reschedule again due to availability. They couldn’t tell me exactly when my whole order would be available and delivered.

Absolutely great experience! I went in hesitant about prices but it was quite the opposite! I felt no pressure at all exploring our options. Camilla was awesome especially with all of my questions about pricing this and pricing that. We got a really good deal for a new king mattress, king bed, dresser and mirror, night stand, and chest. The sales person was great until we were told that one item needed to be picked up at the store and we told him we would sent a truck the next day, paid a worker $100.00 to go and pickup. When they arrived the store was closed and when they called store no one answered or replied to voicemail. Tried several times and requested a call back that has left us hanging.

Calling the local store near my home a "Hillbilly Store". I have left messages with Dave asking that Dale the store manage call me and asking that Jennifer the Sales Person call me. NOT ONE PHONE CALL BACK!!! Ashley Cookeville has refused to price match the local Ashley dealership, where I found the sofa sleeper for less money and free delivery. I asked that my order to cancelled and Dave informed that they he would charge me a huge order cancellation fee and a restocking fee. This location LIES. I have called this store MANY TIMES...asking to speak with Dale, Dave always tells me that Dale (Store Manager) would call me back. NO CALL BACK. I tried reaching Dale again yesterday, only to be told by Dave, that Dale was too busy to talk to me. So, I tried to reach Dale again ...calling early evening, only to be told by Dave that Dale was STILL TOO BUSY to talk to me and to call Dale in the morning. The BEST customer service experience imaginable! I had found a dining room table online that wasn’t available in the store; however, Kris helped me make the purchase with an even BETTER discount in the store than the online price and now I get to pick up my table at the distribution center on Wednesday! Talk about super quick and with little notice! They even offered to have the product delivered and assembled, which was super thoughtful and going the extra mile, but all I wanted was the pickup. So grateful for this store and the exceptional customer service they provide! Highly recommend to anyone and everyone!

The representative did reach out and that was a total waste of my time. She contacted the repair center that does the protection plan and my appointment that was March 19, seven weeks after my all, and evidently cancelled the work order. Now it be the end of March or April before it will be repaired. Please DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY here
Well the sales aspect was great, the follow through was absolutely terrible. Salesperson didn't inform me I was required to answer a call from the delivery person. But 7 minutes after I received that call I called back to no response and terrible customer service. Somehow it was perfectly fine with them not to deliver my bed for another 5 days. With an assistant manager who shared the delivery data...my delivery was cancelled before that delivery man ever called. Never again will I spend a dime with this company. So unethical and terrible customer service. The sales people were super helpful. I went in looking for 2 recliners...left buying a high end bed. He didn't try to push recliners on me..but he answered every question I had about that bed!
They have great furniture at reasonable prices. Our salesperson was Kate and she was not only patient with us but was also very helpful (not pushy) in helping us find exactly what we needed for our new home.

I do not recommend Ashley at all, the employees were great in the store, but everything I bought there was not delivered when we were told, it is a shame to have to pay for delivery and is weeks after date we were told it would be there, but that is not the main problem, it is the service department, the loveseat that we purchased a year ago had to be repaired not long after we got it, , they came twice to fix it and fix didn't last long so last November we contacted the service department again and set a date of December 20th or around then and was a no show and not the courtesy to even call us after us waiting all day. Called them the next day and complained about it and they apologized and set another date, February 21st, that date came and went and again no call no show. So I went by store and talked to manager and she emailed the service department, we got a call the next day, and the service man had a family emergency and couldn't come, now I understand that, but the service department could have called us and explained it. But again didn't. But they say a new date of March 19th. This is just crazy to have to wait that long, they need more than 1 service man. They have lost my business in the future.
Purchased over a year ago. Bought the extended warranty and good thing I did. Broken twice now waiting for over a month for repair. This is maybe one step up from junk

My couch arrived 2 weeks late, even after a call confirming the couch would be delivered on the day it was expected. Fast forward a few months, the wrong mattress was delivered to my mother. It's really a huge hassle and a disappointing experience.

We bought a sofa set for not a little money. Unfortunately, after only a few months we are very dissatisfied with these sofas. We also have physical problems because it is very uncomfortable. We tried to fill the cushions more, but it doesn't help. No more sofa at ashley's. A lot of money spent on scrap. The delivery time was also very long and not as promised. I would ignore that if the quality was the promised.
Never deliver when they say they will, usually a week or so late and their service department is terrible and slow about getting it done.
Great service, but double check with the associate which color couch was ordered. We thought I ordered the Kestrel sofa in Driftwood in-store. We had a grey couch delivered that I can't even find anywhere on the website. I would have given the Ashley five stars if I had the right couch color delivered.

Jennifer helped me yesterday to find a dining room table and chairs. She was very patient - she probably spent 1.5 hours with me to make sure I got what I wanted. I don't think she has been there long, but she seems to already know a lot about the products. Meghan has also helped me, and she was very professional and helpful.
Ordered a single couch dec 15th 2019, told by sales person we could pick it up at the warehouse by Jan 3Rd. 2020. If the store delivers it would be mid Jan.. we opted to do self pick up and not be charged $130 for delivery. Morning of the 3rd, we’re ready to get to the warehouse and when we call they said our couch won’t be in untill... get this... JANUARY 27th!!! What the actual EFF? This date it 2 weeks later than the original delivery date we opted out of! When we asked why the date change and why we got an “I don’t know”..... so it’s going to take 8 weeks for a simple couch. Never again.. HORRIBLE STORE

Tried to go this morning and purchase 2 recliners. Meghan was superb helping me pick them out and offered a lot of helpful information. She was excellent and I give her a 10. However, the apparently lazy store manager, Dale I give a zero. I left without a purchase due to the store not being together in many ways. First the toilets were bad, no towels, and not clean. Then the delivery was weeks out, then their payment terminals were not working, then they called Dale on the radio but he never came to our aid. So I left. If I were Meghan I would tear my mgr a new one for costing me that commission.
Watch their interest!! Been a customer for 5 years automatic payment set up with every purchase with no problems. Never had to “watch” this before just automatically taken from my account..... cut to randomly opened a statement, they have charged me $879 interest on a $2,000 couch that the store said was being deducted in equal monthly payments for their 12 months no interest plan. I was assured at the store it would be handled correctly, it was not, now there is nothing that can be done... also same couch on Amazon was $900 so they are basically running a 30% interest scam that the bank blames the store, and the store blames the bank. Deal with locals instead. These Cookeville store employees won’t even answer the phone!

We ordered our furniture well over 2 months ago. Each piece has been delivered separately and we are still waiting for our last piece. They are unsure of the delivery date which is a pain because someone has to be home for each delivery window. Why does it take 2 months? I highly recommend to order from other stores or just order online. We would have never purchased from Ashley if we had known they would take so long after taking our money.
I came into this store and spent well over $11,000 to be told my purchase would arrive within a 3 hour period on Saturday (7 days after my purchase). I'm now being told Tuesday ... even though I did as asked and confirmed the delivery. I can not imagine doing business in this fashion. Extremly poor ethics!

I found a lovely sectional last week. I attempted to order it online. However, I never got a confirmation email, so I went in store. Originally the lady said that the order went through and gave me a number to call and make sure. She realized I wasn't settling for that, and cancelled any ongoing orders with my account and confirmed my order so that I had physical proof of where my money was going. Online I was offered an 18 month payment plan, which she made me pull up to prove to her that that was what I was offered. Dont get me wrong she was a nice lady and helped me out tremendously. She told me that my sectional would be delivered on Sept 14 and that I would get a call to confirm the time. I confirmed the window of 10 AM to 1 PM. The delivery guys showed up at 9:30 on the 14th, and I was not yet ready for the shipment that was supposed to be 10 AM. I noticed I was missing the wedge and they told me that it was on back order and it should be in within two days. Today is the 16th, two days later, and I have not heard from Ashley, so I called the store and the lady told me that there was a misunderstanding and that my wedge piece won't be delivered until the 25th!! This entire process has been a hassle. You figure if you're paying well over a thousand dollars on a couch that the company should have it's ducks in a row, but not Ashley.

Do not buy from this store. Furniture did not arrive when scheduled. When it arrived both items were broken, one of the broken items had a red tag on it saying it was broken. We did not accept the delivery. When the new delivery came one item was broken The story manager said he would refund the delivery cost, that never happened. If I could give them a lower rating I would.

Sales rep lied about a fur (type) to get a purchase. I called the store about the fur and was told "It's close enough." Three times I was told to come in for the Manager to help and three times his schedule had change. I am having to pay a restocking fee after being lied to, insulted, and having my time wasted for over a week.

I would never recommend them. We bought a recliner from them a little over 2 yrs ago. The sales lady sold us a warranty plan that she stated included everything for 5 yrs. The recliner was a durablend brand and the exterior started fading and has cracked and rubbed completely off at this point. The material began doing this within the first year. We then went back to the store a few months ago to file a warranty claim only to be told that the material was not covered. We were not happy at all. I have since been emailing them since and still nothing at all. Regardless of the warranty, Ashley furniture should do something about a recliner that didn’t last a year. We work hard for our money and hate to see it wasted on poor quality and a company that don’t stand behind what they sale.
I visited the Ashley's Home Store in Greenwood Indiana to get an idea of what I wanted to order for my new home in Tennessee, which we were about to close on. My husband got the contact number for Alissa whom works at the Cookeville Tennessee Ashley store. I was able to text Alissa with the pieces of furniture that I desired. She then was able to check inventory for those pieces and let me know when I could expect delivery. She also reminded me that we would need mattresses for the new beds. She was able to apply great discounts and answered all of my questions very timely. I ended up ordering more than I planned on getting for way less than I originally expected to pay!
They were good to us. Not too pushy but enough to sell granny 6 thousand dollars in furniture. Yeah, maybe next time go furniture shopping alone...
I always come to Ashley's Furniture for my furniture needs. They have so many different options and they will work with you anyway they can to figure out what is the best fit for you. They tend to be a little pricey on some things but the quality there. I'd definitely recommend you to stop and at least look around and see what they got.

Our experience with our "local Ashley store". We moved to Morgan County, TN this June. Needed furniture. Went to Ashley, Cookeville TN-Sunday June 16. Ordered several thousands of dollars of furniture- large sectional couch, loveseat, and a queen mattress set. Was concerned because paperwork said delivery August 1. Saleslady said not to worry, it will come from Chattanooga next Wednesday, Thursday. "You will get a call on day before they come". Monday 17th-no call from Ashley. Tuesday 18th-I called them, saleslady busy. They returned call-it's going to come from Nashville, "next week". Wednesday or Thursday another call-"it's going to come from Chattanooga". Manager gets involved-we're going to get your furniture delivered (soon). Finally I get a call Wednesday June 26 from Memphis office one of your items is backordered but we PROMISE it will be delivered Friday June 28th from Chattanooga. Two hours later June 26 I get a call from Cookeville office manager-"your delivery will arrive July 5th". Obviously at this point I've slept on a air mattress for weeks and I want my furniture. I offered to go the first week and obtain the furniture myself-they refused-oh you would have to pick up in Nashville or Chattanooga, we will deliver it". I cancelled the order because I have no furniture. Friday June 28th I went to Crossville, TN and bought a couch and mattress at local place. No further issues. Furniture arrives Tuesday July 2. Delivery only $100. Ashley was going to charge me $216 for furniture that was never going to arrive. Saturday June 29 I get a voicemail-we apologize, we will deliver July 5th-we want your business. "Your location it'll be difficult to get furniture delivered there". Thanks so much for the laughs Ashley- No furniture but hey comedy is always appreciated. 2 stars is because I think if you live in Cookeville they might be a acceptable store. Apparently they think I live on the moon.

I took my mom in today for a new couch & a new mattress set. This store had more options than anyone else in town and the pricing was comparable. In the past, I have dreaded going in this store because the sales associates are usually worse than car salesmen about following you nonstop and not leaving you alone even when you ask. But I was pleasantly surprised this trip. Camilla was great to work with! She answered all questions and made recommendations when needed. She made the process pain free. Hopefully she will still be there the next time we have furniture needs! Edited for a follow up. I should have known better than to think it would be a completely positive experience with Ashley. The day before scheduled delivery that I confirmed both by email and phone call last week, I get a text message to schedule delivery for a day next week. I call the phone # listed in the email and was told the mattress set was backordered. I explained that I have already taken off work to be there tomorrow and this is a HUGE inconvenience. I demanded the couch be delivered tomorrow as we already got rid of my mom's couch yesterday in preparation for the new one to be delivered tomorrow and all I got in return was "I'll put in a request' which is absolutely not helpful at all. There should not be a request because it was already confirmed. It's not my fault or problem that your merchandise didn't come in when promised. We were already put off 2 weeks because it was backordered. The couch should be delivered tomorrow so that it's not a complete waste that I've taken a day off for it and I will schedule the mattress set delivery at my convenience and they had better not dare try to make my mother pay another delivery charge because of their ignorance.

Went to Ashley to get a 5-pc dining set on Memorial day. Katie was great and took us right to the table that for our needs. As added bonus, our two toddlers loved their balloon!
Our shopping experience was great. Our pick up experience not so much. We came to pick up a chair that we had purchased a few days prior. First, we had to wait over 15 minutes, until another salesperson got the guy’s attention to come out of his office and help customers at the desk. Then he was quite unfriendly. He said “I hope you brought help to carry out your furniture today because we can’t.” We were not informed that we would have to carry it out ourselves. Glad I had someone with me who could or else I guess I wouldn’t have been able to get my furniture because there is no way I could carry it. So we went to carry this chair across the store. They couldn’t have even moved it to the door even though it was purchased 2 days earlier. We had to clear our own path around other pieces just to get the chair out of the small area it was in. When we got to the door, the rude salesman, manager or whatever he was came to the door opened it and told us there was a box outside to hold the door open. He didn’t even bother to prop it open for us. We had to set the chair down and prop it open ourselves. He totally disregarded the fact that we were struggling and frustrated from having to carry this thing across the store and move a lot of other furniture pieces on our own to even get through. He then walked away, still offering no assistance. One of our pieces they apparently put in for a delivery to our house but we have no idea when it will arrive. We have not gotten any emails about it or anything stating it was in fact sent out for delivery. The other items we got were pickup. They have great selection of furniture, prices and are great when pitching those sales, but after purchasing you think they would treat you with a little more respect. Very disappointed.
The overall experience was great. Good customer service, pricing is made available and the staff is extremely helpful. I'm not a fan of how the store is organized. Beds and bedroom furniture are not generally together. The area isn't organized into display rooms or by any apparent category which makes it difficult to see all the options without the help of an employee.
This is the second time I have been in the store and another great experience. This time it was Andrew that was my CSR and he was great. Worked with my Mother and Wife to find what they were looking for and accommodates my 4 year old very well.

I shopped for a new couch for a week. But after stopping in at Ashley Homestore in Cookeville, I didn’t have to shop any more. Charlie was great helping me find the perfect couch. I scheduled pick up a couple days later to find out one of the cushions wasn’t right. Charlie got right on it and made arrangements for the correction. Now I’m loving my new couch and will definitely go see Charlie again for my future furniture needs. Highly recommend Ashley Homestore in Cookeville and all of their great staff.

We shared with Mary we liked this particular bedroom set at another furniture store. Not only did Mary show it to us she was able to price match. I have been searching for couches online for a few months. I am not the type of person that likes to be in a store or asked a lot of questions. I found one online that i really liked, I called the local store to make sure this was in stock so I could go see this in person. I went, asked for Mary, the lady I spoke with on the phone and she showed me the couch. I loved it, I ordered it. She was wonderful, she knew I knew what I wanted and did not try to show me anything else. I was in and out in 20 minutes and she was an absolute pleasure to work with. My boyfriend and I went into Ashley’s trying to find a couch for our new apartment. I didn’t even have a color for any furniture in mind btw. Our move in date is a week away and needed to find something quick. Alyssa greeted us after we had a chance to walk around a little bit. She didn’t have to take the time that she did nor did she have to stay with us till after closing time. I have held off writing this review for 4 months so that I could be fair in my feedback with less frustration and emotion.I enjoyed working with the in-store team. They were friendly and helpful the day of purchase and as we navigated each issue.Our purchase was for a sofa, ottoman and complete bedroom (mattress, headboard, sideboards, footboard, nightstand, chest) set for my daughter&'s college townhome.My 1st warning should have been the antiquated ordering system the sales guy was having to work with and the struggle to get a clear answer about inventory for the bedroom suite, the one on display at the front of the store. Even while he was entering my order the timing for delivery kept changing on him.The frustrations began as the 1st of 5 failed deliveries happened. 1st delivery - sofa, ottoman, mattress and nightstand. The drivers had no clue that the remaining pieces of the bedroom suite were a part of the order. 2nd attempt, no show, claimed had no delivery scheduled. 3rd attempt - got moved out another week. 4th attempt - got moved out another week. Each time my daughter, husband and I had direct conversations with the poor in store sales people who were stuck in the middle of this Ashley Furniture Supply Chain Management disaster. When the 5th attempt was getting moved yet one more time, we canceled the entire bedroom suite order (kept the sofa/ottoman and mattress that was delivered in the 1st delivery), returned the night stand and swore to never step foot in an Ashley Furniture store again.Oh yea - in this 6 week ordeal my daughter had no bedroom furniture in her new townhome - nowhere to put clothes, mattress on the floor for sleeping AND once we finally did cancel the entire bedroom suite (except the mattress) we were told it would take 14 DAYS for the refund to show up on my credit card as a credit!! Funny since it was an immediate charge the day of purchase with nothing to show for it for weeks or at all.Tainted by ordering system, delivery debacles, and delayed refund.I guess I should have read the other Michelle W&'s May 2018 posting - sounds familiar!

We bought a dining room table set and a sectional today at the Ashley Furniture store in Cookeville, TN. We have been several places looking for furniture and this by far has the nicest looking pieces. The prices are affordable and not way over priced like others we have looked at. The service was very quick and very knowledgeable. Mary Hellen was our sales associate and she was amazing!! I highly recommend you ask for her!! Love this place! Jennifer

Don't sell items to people that are not in stock and avaliable for delivery within a couple of days. I ordered a couch 2 months ago and they think it's ok to try and deliver a partial shipment of a sectional couch? What a joke.
Ordered my couch over 2 months ago. They finally called and scheduled the delivery for the 16th and then did not show up or call me to explain why. I called the nexd day to ask why and they could not give me an answer. The called me back later to reschedule I asked why they did not show on the 16 again and they would not even respond just kept asking when was a good time to deliver. They said Tuesday the 24 and that they would call me back with a time. They called the next morning and said it would now be the 27th and that it would just be a partial delivery that all the peices of the sectional we're not in yet. Im going to go by the store today and tell them to cancel the order. Very poor customer service and this is putting it kindley. Would rate it 0 stars but 1 is as low as I can go.

Terrible customer service. Was in there for 30 minutes without a worker helping me. They were all talking amongst themselves. Was ready to buy a couch, just needed to know how long it was.
We were welcomed into the store with no pressure. We really liked that. Kate was a new sales agent and kept apologizing, but she did an excellent job. I would highly recommend Ashley of Cookeville.
Item ordered direct ship to my Home 1-4-19 was date given. Store stated they could not Match online Price, called today date is extended to 1-10-19 WOW.
We were given the chance to look on our own . I really liked that. When we had decided on a couch and love seat, we got Alissa Caiazzo to help us. She is the 1st one to offer help. She was great and explained everything that we needed to know. Our experience was very satisfying.
The store has an amazing selection, and we were able to get the replacement sofa we wanted. Our sales representative, Bailey, was so easy to work with and had great patience with my wife and me.
Camilla was amazingly helpful. Everyone that I have interacted with in store have been wonderful. Don't fall for the furniture protection policy. I have had my furniture for 2yrs, tried to use my policy to fix power recliner....have been tossed around and can't get any answers. I was a lot of money and all was just a waste. Very disappointed.
