Ashley Outlet Hixson, TN

Allan Lee sold us a couch and loveseat. He listened to what we needed, showed us what they had that fit, and made some suggestions that solved some of our furniture problems. We got a great deal, and the furniture was delivered the next day. The only "problem' we had (and it is absolutely not a problem) was that one of the four accent pillows was a different pattern. Allan has put in an order to get us one that fits the same pattern as the others. If that comes in any time in the next 4 weeks (we understand that manufacturers are not controlled by sales folks), the score will go up to a 6 star. As a side note, we'd intended to shop around, but Allan and Ashley made that unnecessary and we appreciate that.

Salesperson was friendly and not pushy. I felt listened to and my needs were considered. This is my second purchase from Hixson Ashley store.

I purchased a bedroom suit, recliner, and mattress, or I should say I attempted to. During the sale the lady that was doing the order “threw in a mattress protector” told me that I would see the charge for it on my paperwork but that it would be backed off and I would not be charged. Finished up the sale, and the next day saw where my card had been charged for the mattress protector and the charge had already posted. I texted the sales lady to see what was going on, she said it was for the protector and I said I never agreed to purchase a protector, you said you were throwing it in. Then after some back and forth texts, she said she had discounted the mattress further to absorb the cost of the protector. I said no, my paperwork shows the amount that was on the mattress sticker to begin with. I was like I’m not going to argue over this, so I told her to cancel my order, she said I couldn’t return the protector and I’d still be charged for it! I tried calling her was sent to voicemail twice, so I text her saying Call me! She did and tried to explain what she had done, I said you never explained any discounts on the mattress other than the clearance price. I asked to speak to her manager Jay, and he was extremely rude told me he never discounted mattresses as low as what I was saying was on the sticker on the mattress…therefore calling me a liar! When I demanded my card be credited back the amount that I did not agree to be charged to my card today, he said that’s an accounting issue and hung up on me! I have been doing business with Ashley for the last 10 years since moving to Tn. My whole house is furnished from Ashley, never had a problem everything was always explained no hidden surprises! Yes I have filed a complaint because this is absolutely no way to treat a customer!!! Update! I tried texting the number I was giving in the response Not monitored….

The staff at Ashley Outlet in Hixson TN was extremely helpful, kind and attentive to my needs during my visit. That resulted in leaving the store with a new bed and mattress set. Thank you Ashley Outlet.

We went to Ashley Outlet to start looking for a bedroom set and ended up buying the first set we found. The protection plan we paid for even covers accidents except for “jaws and claws”. If we don’t have to have anything repaired, we can use that money for anything at Ashley after the 5 years are up. I think that’s a great process! The sales person, Mike, was super helpful and could give us a very specific price for what options were available and even when it could be delivered the same week! We were approved for financing and he let us know the options for paying upfront which was very helpful.

The quality, price and professional staff all were top notch. We felt like the team there listened to what we wanted and did not try to change to a higher priced item just for a sale. The were willing to work on the price as well once we found what we needed and decided to purchase more than intended.

Customer service at this store needs a lot of work hence the reason for one star! They over promise and under deliver to make a sale. I purchased a dining room table on clearance that was supposedly “discontinued”. I love the set however I was told by Kim that I could come back in a week to purchase additional chairs. She also supposedly worked with the warehouse manager to make sure some damage was repaired prior to home delivery. My order was entered wrong because when the table was delivered I only had one arm chair when two arm chairs were in my order. I didn’t make it a big deal because I got an armless chair in its place. I arrive a week later to purchase the additional chairs only to find out they weren’t available anymore. No phone call, no text, no email! Only an oh well apology from Kim and a nonchalant response from the sales manager that he has to “see” if he can get some. On top of that, the damage was never repaired as promised. If everyone had just been upfront from the beginning, we would’ve reconsidered purchasing a table that could seat 10 with only 6 chairs available. Thankfully I’ve found chairs online. It cost me $30 more than I was quoted at Ashley but it’s worth it to not have to “wait to see” if I get anything. This was our first and last time dealing with this store!!! Update: Miraculously, the chairs I was told would take 6-8 weeks to come in “IF” they can get them showed up two days later in the store. This leads me to believe that they were never ordered in the first place. I’ve increased this review to 2 stars because I did get the chairs but this ordeal was stressful and the damage was never repaired as promised.

Ben did a wonderful job helping me find exactly what I wanted and keeping me within my price range! This is the second time I have done business with him and I look forward to working with him in the future!

I loved that the salesperson wasn’t pushy. We were able to look around, ask questions, and really take our time without being overwhelmed. It’s really cool that they have a clearance section, because we all know how expensive furniture can be. They even have a third party vendor to deliver your furniture that will haul away your old stuff. Overall, I had a great experience.

The service was outstanding, of course it would be because they need to sell their furniture. I paid well over $1,000 for a rather large piece of furniture that has only lasted me a few months. Then I found out that the brand new version of my furniture at the actual Ashley was a whopping $150 more, which I found out 3 days after I bought my furniture there at the Outlet. I will Never purchase from you again no matter how kind you were to me. And I'm not posting pictures because if I do you'll know exactly who I am. I still absolutely adore my furniture. I don't adore the fact that it is broken in three different places and came to my house that way. Even your delivery guys said it was broken and I am so thankful that they showed me that it was. Shame on you.😡

Wonderful experience with Ashley. I walked into the store and Ben helped me. I was looking for a specific mattress which Ashley didn’t sell, but Ben found it for me online and ordered it for me. I love the store and the staff there. Our new dresser was damaged when we opened the box. You can tell someone had attempted to repair it, which tells me they knew it was damaged but sent it out anyway. Not the outlet’s fault.

We came in looking fir TV stand/furniture. We were met by Adam who was great. We explained what we wanted and he took us to area where we found what we were looking for which was a floor model. He reduced the price due to some cosmetic scratches and we paid for it. After going home we had not measured correctly and the piece wouldn't fit. I called Adam and he rechecked the measurements and we were right. He immediately offered to credit our card back for the price. Very easy and simple process. I would definitely go back for the customer service and ease of doing business.

Customer service here is a complete slap in the face. You call the store number and get routed to corporate who just tells you to contact the store and you could be in this circle for hours. On top of that I was blatantly lied to. I specifically asked when I made my purchase if there was any kind of warranty and was told yes for one year. 2 months later I have a problem and its "sorry as is no warranty" and to add insult to injury the store manager Jay in no uncertain terms let me know he thought I was a liar. The prices are great but beware of the promises they make because they will rescind them.

Going to the store was a great experience but the delivery was awful. After purchasing the sofa we were given a delivery date of 4/12 for the whole sofa and then that was rescheduled to 4/25. On 4/25 there was no delivery so I called and was told that the sofa was on backorder. Strange because I bought one off the floor and it was labeled SOLD before I left the store. I went to the store physically and the sofa was there ready to be delivered. The store arranged for the sofa to be delivered the next day, 4/26, today. The guys set the sofa up and after they left I realized that the sofa was against the wall and cannot fully recline. I notified the delivery team and was told that I must file a claim to have that corrected. I am unable to move and/or take apart the sectional myself so I am stuck with a reclining sofa that does not recline. I spent over $4,000 for this sofa and I am going to have to hire another team of people to come in and set it up properly. I will never do business with Ashley again.

I was able to get some new furniture and a new mattress. Steve who works in Hixson was so nice and friendly. He worked with us and was honest! Honesty seems so hard to find nowadays. I highly recommend finding Steve, he will help you out as best as he can. Thank you Steve.

When my partner and I went to search for our new mattress for our first home, Allan Lee greeted us and was extremely helpful throughout the whole process! He was casual and not pushy, and as someone with history in furniture sales, I know how pushy and dishonest some salespeople can be just to make a sale. Allen was upfront about everything, going the extra mile to back his claims, and overall made it easy to trust in him. We got our mattress delivered about a month ago and my partner and I have had the best sleep we’ve ever had in our lives. Allen also worked with us with our budget and gave us an unbeatable price which I cannot express enough gratitude for. We feel so confident in our investment and we will definitely be returning for future needs.

Worse than buying a car. Salesman lied and promised us delivery on Monday. So, I took off work only to receive a text on monday around 11am. saying opps. My bad warehouse is closed, so I had to take another half day off work for the delivery. They still charged me the full amount for delivery and offered no compensation for my time. These guys can close the doors permanently for all I care. Lost a customer.

Our items showed up destroyed so we rejected delivery. We were told we would receive a full refund as you would expect. We have been given the run around being told we now need to still pay the delivery fee and have not been refunded at all in the 10 days since the delivery attempt was made.

Allan helped me find something within my budget that was realistic but also what I wanted. What became a 3 day scenario helping me navigate new territory(financing) he was EXTREMELY patient with me. Any question about anything in the entire store he knows the honest answer. If you go to the store, ask for Allan, he will at the very least make you feel solid about your purchase without being pushy. (Give Allan a raise he’s the only reason I didn’t settle on electronic express)

I bought a couch with reclining seats from here. The buying and delivery process was fine until only 4 days later when the reclining function broke. I called them and was told there’s no warranty and there’s nothing they could do. Absolute worst experience.

Great phone service before going to the store - “if you come into the store, the chairs will be on your right as you enter the store.” The same rep I talked with on the phone met us in the store, answered our questions and we bought the chairs. The rep was very efficient and knowledgeable about the products and wood species. Pleasant experience. We will return to the store for future purchases.

If I could give 0 stars I would. These people are complete rip offs. We bought a sectional with a The power recliners 2 days ago and we just picked it up yesterday and one of the recliners doesn't work. The sale person Alan Tantihachai never informed us that the clearance sale items are as is with no warranty. Even lied and told me that he would send a technician out to fix the few scuff marks it had in it. Now they're saying they can't do anything to fix the problem because we bought as is which we were never informed of in the 1st place. This place is ridiculous. I'll never deal with these people again

I went to this (Hixson) store looking forward in finding me a reclining sofa. I had been looking for months at many different store but I always came back to Ashley. Today was the day (1/18/25)..From the time I walk in till I walk to the back of the store no one said a thing to me.. I wasn't bothered due to there was other in the store. I thought this one guy was coming to help me out but no he said hi and wall right passed me an went into the stockroom. So I kept looking. Then I noticing that most of the salesman was watching TV (a game) one spoke to a lady coming though the door asking if she need help.. I'm thinking okay but no one has tried to help me yet. I then decided my money must not be needed. But before I left the store I let a guy know that I had walked all around this store with no help at all for over 20min. His Statment was " I'm sorry we help in order of the customer coming in" so I say who are they helping (4 to 5 of them sitting in front of a TV watch a game) . Very disappointed. Cause I seen server sofa I would have love to have.

The representative was easy and quick to work with. I was straight to point and in likeness so were they. Quality to pricing for what I chose seems fair to me. Smooth and simple business interaction that led to a transaction and a win win situation for all involved.

I have unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Furniture. I recently purchased my first home in the area. Excitedly, I came to Ashley to buy my first piece of furniture for the house. I purchased a nice couch, and scheduled delivery for Saturday, December 7th. On the payment invoice, I noticed my billing address was on it for delivery, rather than the shipping address, so I immediately contacted the store and spoke to the employee who sold me the couch. He was quick to correct it in the system, so I assumed all was well. Then, two days prior to delivery, I received a confirmation on which the wrong address was still listed. Upon seeing this, I call Ashley customer service, where they also confirm they have the correct address. Because I have confirmed twice, I assume the emails are just wrong and it will be delivered to the correct address. Day of delivery, I receive the tracking link and see the delivery is still going to the old address. Despite doing everything in my power to correct this, they still go to the wrong place and are unable to deliver. I am told I will be contacted for redelivery, but come Tuesday, I have still not received a call. I call in, and the automated system informs me I am now scheduled for the 18th, which is 11 days after I expected my delivery, and I will be out of town so will need to make arrangements with family as the next available day isn’t until January 9th. I am not one to leave poor reviews, but I am shocked that there has been no attempt whatsoever to correct the situation in any way. As the customer, I did everything I could to ensure correct delivery, and it still didn’t end up being correct and I am now the one being inconvenienced. Very disappointed.

I've been trying to get my furniture for months. First the bed came but I had to pay additional delivery fees from a good up on Ashley furnitures part. They were supposed to compensate me by having my nightstands' delivery fee covered. I have been contacting them weekly but still no furniture. I'm now trying to contact the warehouse to try and pick up my furniture. It's starting to be a big headache.

The store hours online and the door said to 9pm, we walked in at 7:10pm and a guy informed us they were closing at 7. Three gentlemen were standing at the counter having a conversation, one walked over to tell us the above statement and then locked the door when we walked out. Frankly- if you’re going to close at 7, you should actually lock your door at closing time and change the hours on the door instead of waiting until some walks in past closing.

I do have complaints with them but not Ashley Furniture! They tried to charge me $40 MORE then what was on my papers when they delivered.

My experience was fine until they delivered the wrong item and then gave us the runaround for two weeks. The manager would not return calls. They would not make their error correct by picking up the incorrect item and delivering the correct item. My husband had to load up the item and pick up the correct item. They did not offer to reimburse us the delivery cost we incurred for their error. I will not be shopping at this store.

I went into the Hixson store looking for a recliner…Kim helped guide me in the direction to see what they had in the store and they didn’t have anything like what I was looking for so she ordered me what I was looking for and also set me up with delivery and haul away my old recliner…she was very helpful and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend my friends and family to her at that store.

They have decent looking furniture but the store is nasty. The carpet is disgusting and filthy. I wouldn't buy anything in there. I've been to thrift stores that are cleaner.

Horrible experience! Couch did not fit our space and told it wouldn't be a big deal if I had to call back to cancel the order. Of course it didn't fit so I called to cancel. Was talked down to when I called to cancel and hung up on. Called to verify it was canceled 2 days later, it never was. I called several times to talk to the manager so he would know about the poor service and he never called back. Refund didn't even show pending in my account until 2 weeks later.

Spent several thousand on a couch here and had the couch for under a month and have had several issues with it. Spoke with jay and was told that we needed to reach out to customer service. Customer service has us start tickets and send in pictures and emails and then they just never respond to anything. I have spent hrs on the phone with customer service and with people at the store and the mgr just tells me they only sell it and he can’t do anything. Even though the paperwork clearly states that the couch is warrantied from mfr defects and our couch has several of those. I would not recommend

The first thing I would like to point out is the information online states that this business stays open until 9 pm. Unfortunately, we discovered they close at 7 pm by arriving after 7 pm. Please fix this for future shoppers. We visited this business on a Saturday and had to wait for an unusually long time for someone to answer a couple of questions. Once we managed to get a sales person, we were very happy with the service we received. The purchasing, financing and delivery processes were easy to set up at the store. The only caveat to this is that we were told our delivery fee would be a certain price and when our furniture was delivered, it was considerably more. We stated we were told it would be a lower price. The delivery person showed us a chart that clearly showed the delivery pricing categories with his requested amount right where he said it would be. We felt like we had no alternative but to pay him the price listed.

Delivery drivers beware! Friendly workers, but their dock is one of the worst to get into with a semi. Don’t try it in the dark as there are no lights in the dock area for Ashley. You can see the guard rail and building have been knocked around. :/ This is a straight truck job, not built for semis with sleeper cabs. If you make it into the dock, pull out to the right (impossible left exit) and go to the end of alley — there’s a turn around area back there.

Working with Ben was amazing! He wasn’t pushy and yet was so informative. He made sure we had plenty of details about what furniture would meet our needs. I Bought furniture from the Hixson branch of Ashli As soon as I took it home, I Noticed a cut that was Repaired and than I, Immediately called the seller his name was Alan told me that he can give me $100 refund which I refused and I asked his if I can get a replacement for it. He said that he will contact me back as soon as he talk to his manager, So I stopped by the store three times and last two months to see what they can do unfortunately, they keep telling me that they’re talking to their higher up but they haven’t heard anything back. Today I went back to the store and talk to the manager he was even worse. He calls himself J he said that he cannot help me with that because we did already gave me a discount while I was buying it. Bottom line before you buy anything From the store, take a look at it first, and if anything is wrong with it, don’t ask them just bring them back to their in front of their door So they can give you another one don’t wait for them to call you back.

We weren’t greeted when we walked in even though there was someone sitting at a desk near the front door. We walked around the entire store before anyone asked if we needed help. The gentleman who did eventually help us was named Adam. He wasn’t friendly at all or very helpful. Needless to say, we ended up going a different route even though they had exactly what we wanted. Customer service matters and Ashley in Hixson failed at providing it.

Re: Alan The store was extremely busy when I arrived and Alan met me and directed me to my area of interest. He kept checking on me throughout my shopping experience to answer my questions. I have never been treated more professionally and courteously. He made the experience informative and made recommendations that were tailor made for my family's needs. We are now enjoying the quality product he provided us with.

At this point I am entirely disgusted with the misinformation and mishandling of my money and the product I received. From being pushed to use a preferred delivery service outside of Ashley to having poor communication on the resolution to the mismatched furniture delivered to me. How does one get a better deal on a delivery service that would have been FREE?! I would have received it only days apart and likely ones that matched saving me $100 on delivery. I should have double checked the salesman and did a little more research before putting my trust in this process. Allan, I still expect a full refund including the rip off delivery service if this issue is not resolved promptly.

I was only curious and I know I made it clear that I was only looking. Most sales people don't want to do too much if they don't think they'll sell you anything. Well my rep was flipping couches, connecting cords, testing stuff and researching for me. All praise to that guy. I can't think of his name though. Beard, used to work for economy honda. The only thing I'm missing is a printout with the part numbers that he was supposed to send with the delivery crew but, other than that, this was a wonderful experience. Thanks for my new sectional!

Bought a couch here years ago and were sold on the warranty. Very distinctly remember the salesperson saying that if we don't use it they refund you the cost of the warranty after 5 years because we werent going to get it. I called twice over the years to discuss when we would get the refund. Called today and am now told "oh it's store credit, not a refund". I sure feel like I was misled. Skip the hassle, get your furniture somewhere else. Couch isn't even well made and had cracks in the wood in less than a year.

Easy, pleasant experience buying what I wwnted. Kim Bloch was able to find pieces I needed to complete a bedroom set. She beat the internet price and will deliver items in a week. Used this store several times and have always been pleased.
