Going to the store was a great experience but the delivery was awful. After purchasing the sofa we were given a delivery date of 4/12 for the whole sofa and then that was rescheduled to 4/25. On 4/25 there was no delivery so I called and was told that the sofa was on backorder. Strange because I bought one off the floor and it was labeled SOLD before I left the store. I went to the store physically and the sofa was there ready to be delivered. The store arranged for the sofa to be delivered the next day, 4/26, today. The guys set the sofa up and after they left I realized that the sofa was against the wall and cannot fully recline. I notified the delivery team and was told that I must file a claim to have that corrected. I am unable to move and/or take apart the sectional myself so I am stuck with a reclining sofa that does not recline. I spent over $4,000 for this sofa and I am going to have to hire another team of people to come in and set it up properly. I will never do business with Ashley again.

I was able to get some new furniture and a new mattress. Steve who works in Hixson was so nice and friendly. He worked with us and was honest! Honesty seems so hard to find nowadays. I highly recommend finding Steve, he will help you out as best as he can. Thank you Steve.

When my partner and I went to search for our new mattress for our first home, Allan Lee greeted us and was extremely helpful throughout the whole process! He was casual and not pushy, and as someone with history in furniture sales, I know how pushy and dishonest some salespeople can be just to make a sale. Allen was upfront about everything, going the extra mile to back his claims, and overall made it easy to trust in him. We got our mattress delivered about a month ago and my partner and I have had the best sleep we’ve ever had in our lives. Allen also worked with us with our budget and gave us an unbeatable price which I cannot express enough gratitude for. We feel so confident in our investment and we will definitely be returning for future needs.

Worse than buying a car. Salesman lied and promised us delivery on Monday. So, I took off work only to receive a text on monday around 11am. saying opps. My bad warehouse is closed, so I had to take another half day off work for the delivery. They still charged me the full amount for delivery and offered no compensation for my time. These guys can close the doors permanently for all I care. Lost a customer.

Our items showed up destroyed so we rejected delivery. We were told we would receive a full refund as you would expect. We have been given the run around being told we now need to still pay the delivery fee and have not been refunded at all in the 10 days since the delivery attempt was made.

Allan helped me find something within my budget that was realistic but also what I wanted. What became a 3 day scenario helping me navigate new territory(financing) he was EXTREMELY patient with me. I bought a couch with reclining seats from here. The buying and delivery process was fine until only 4 days later when the reclining function broke. I called them and was told there’s no warranty and there’s nothing they could do. Absolute worst experience.

Great phone service before going to the store - “if you come into the store, the chairs will be on your right as you enter the store.” The same rep I talked with on the phone met us in the store, answered our questions and we bought the chairs. The rep was very efficient and knowledgeable about the products and wood species. Pleasant experience. We will return to the store for future purchases.

If I could give 0 stars I would. These people are complete rip offs. We bought a sectional with a The power recliners 2 days ago and we just picked it up yesterday and one of the recliners doesn't work. The sale person Alan Tantihachai never informed us that the clearance sale items are as is with no warranty. Even lied and told me that he would send a technician out to fix the few scuff marks it had in it. Now they're saying they can't do anything to fix the problem because we bought as is which we were never informed of in the 1st place. This place is ridiculous. I'll never deal with these people again

I went to this (Hixson) store looking forward in finding me a reclining sofa. I had been looking for months at many different store but I always came back to Ashley. Today was the day (1/18/25)..From the time I walk in till I walk to the back of the store no one said a thing to me.. I wasn't bothered due to there was other in the store. I thought this one guy was coming to help me out but no he said hi and wall right passed me an went into the stockroom. So I kept looking. Then I noticing that most of the salesman was watching TV (a game) one spoke to a lady coming though the door asking if she need help.. I'm thinking okay but no one has tried to help me yet. I then decided my money must not be needed. But before I left the store I let a guy know that I had walked all around this store with no help at all for over 20min. His Statment was " I'm sorry we help in order of the customer coming in" so I say who are they helping (4 to 5 of them sitting in front of a TV watch a game) . Very disappointed. Cause I seen server sofa I would have love to have.

The representative was easy and quick to work with. I was straight to point and in likeness so were they. Quality to pricing for what I chose seems fair to me. Smooth and simple business interaction that led to a transaction and a win win situation for all involved.

I have unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with Ashley Furniture. I recently purchased my first home in the area. Excitedly, I came to Ashley to buy my first piece of furniture for the house. I purchased a nice couch, and scheduled delivery for Saturday, December 7th. On the payment invoice, I noticed my billing address was on it for delivery, rather than the shipping address, so I immediately contacted the store and spoke to the employee who sold me the couch. He was quick to correct it in the system, so I assumed all was well. Then, two days prior to delivery, I received a confirmation on which the wrong address was still listed. Upon seeing this, I call Ashley customer service, where they also confirm they have the correct address. Because I have confirmed twice, I assume the emails are just wrong and it will be delivered to the correct address. Day of delivery, I receive the tracking link and see the delivery is still going to the old address. Despite doing everything in my power to correct this, they still go to the wrong place and are unable to deliver. I am told I will be contacted for redelivery, but come Tuesday, I have still not received a call. I call in, and the automated system informs me I am now scheduled for the 18th, which is 11 days after I expected my delivery, and I will be out of town so will need to make arrangements with family as the next available day isn’t until January 9th. I am not one to leave poor reviews, but I am shocked that there has been no attempt whatsoever to correct the situation in any way. As the customer, I did everything I could to ensure correct delivery, and it still didn’t end up being correct and I am now the one being inconvenienced. Very disappointed.

Def have to hunt. Also, third party delivery folks, R2, were fantastic (we have lawn damage to prove that's not always the case).

I've been trying to get my furniture for months. First the bed came but I had to pay additional delivery fees from a good up on Ashley furnitures part. They were supposed to compensate me by having my nightstands' delivery fee covered. I have been contacting them weekly but still no furniture. I'm now trying to contact the warehouse to try and pick up my furniture. It's starting to be a big headache.

The store hours online and the door said to 9pm, we walked in at 7:10pm and a guy informed us they were closing at 7. Three gentlemen were standing at the counter having a conversation, one walked over to tell us the above statement and then locked the door when we walked out. Frankly- if you’re going to close at 7, you should actually lock your door at closing time and change the hours on the door instead of waiting until some walks in past closing.

From start to finish I think I may have been in the store for 30 minutes! I also got same day delivery! I will say that the delivery service was third party. I do have complaints with them but not Ashley Furniture! They tried to charge me $40 MORE then what was on my papers when they delivered.

My experience was fine until they delivered the wrong item and then gave us the runaround for two weeks. The manager would not return calls. They would not make their error correct by picking up the incorrect item and delivering the correct item. My husband had to load up the item and pick up the correct item. They did not offer to reimburse us the delivery cost we incurred for their error. I will not be shopping at this store.

I went into the Hixson store looking for a recliner…Kim helped guide me in the direction to see what they had in the store and they didn’t have anything like what I was looking for so she ordered me what I was looking for and also set me up with delivery and haul away my old recliner…she was very helpful and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend my friends and family to her at that store.

They have decent looking furniture but the store is nasty. The carpet is disgusting and filthy. I wouldn't buy anything in there. I've been to thrift stores that are cleaner.

Prices were pretty good. Needs more customer service. Some of the staff was just sitting around as I walked the store.

Horrible experience! Couch did not fit our space and told it wouldn't be a big deal if I had to call back to cancel the order. Of course it didn't fit so I called to cancel. Was talked down to when I called to cancel and hung up on. Called to verify it was canceled 2 days later, it never was. I called several times to talk to the manager so he would know about the poor service and he never called back. Refund didn't even show pending in my account until 2 weeks later.

Spent several thousand on a couch here and had the couch for under a month and have had several issues with it. Spoke with jay and was told that we needed to reach out to customer service. Customer service has us start tickets and send in pictures and emails and then they just never respond to anything. I have spent hrs on the phone with customer service and with people at the store and the mgr just tells me they only sell it and he can’t do anything. Even though the paperwork clearly states that the couch is warrantied from mfr defects and our couch has several of those. I would not recommend

The first thing I would like to point out is the information online states that this business stays open until 9 pm. Unfortunately, we discovered they close at 7 pm by arriving after 7 pm. Please fix this for future shoppers. We visited this business on a Saturday and had to wait for an unusually long time for someone to answer a couple of questions. Once we managed to get a sales person, we were very happy with the service we received. The purchasing, financing and delivery processes were easy to set up at the store. The only caveat to this is that we were told our delivery fee would be a certain price and when our furniture was delivered, it was considerably more. We stated we were told it would be a lower price. The delivery person showed us a chart that clearly showed the delivery pricing categories with his requested amount right where he said it would be. We felt like we had no alternative but to pay him the price listed.

Delivery drivers beware! Friendly workers, but their dock is one of the worst to get into with a semi. Don’t try it in the dark as there are no lights in the dock area for Ashley. You can see the guard rail and building have been knocked around. :/ This is a straight truck job, not built for semis with sleeper cabs. If you make it into the dock, pull out to the right (impossible left exit) and go to the end of alley — there’s a turn around area back there.

I Bought furniture from the Hixson branch of Ashli As soon as I took it home, I Noticed a cut that was Repaired and than I, Immediately called the seller his name was Alan told me that he can give me $100 refund which I refused and I asked his if I can get a replacement for it. He said that he will contact me back as soon as he talk to his manager, So I stopped by the store three times and last two months to see what they can do unfortunately, they keep telling me that they’re talking to their higher up but they haven’t heard anything back. Today I went back to the store and talk to the manager he was even worse. He calls himself J he said that he cannot help me with that because we did already gave me a discount while I was buying it. Bottom line before you buy anything From the store, take a look at it first, and if anything is wrong with it, don’t ask them just bring them back to their in front of their door So they can give you another one don’t wait for them to call you back.

We weren’t greeted when we walked in even though there was someone sitting at a desk near the front door. We walked around the entire store before anyone asked if we needed help. The gentleman who did eventually help us was named Adam. He wasn’t friendly at all or very helpful. Needless to say, we ended up going a different route even though they had exactly what we wanted. Customer service matters and Ashley in Hixson failed at providing it.

Re: Alan The store was extremely busy when I arrived and Alan met me and directed me to my area of interest. He kept checking on me throughout my shopping experience to answer my questions. I have never been treated more professionally and courteously. He made the experience informative and made recommendations that were tailor made for my family's needs. At this point I am entirely disgusted with the misinformation and mishandling of my money and the product I received. From being pushed to use a preferred delivery service outside of Ashley to having poor communication on the resolution to the mismatched furniture delivered to me. How does one get a better deal on a delivery service that would have been FREE?! I would have received it only days apart and likely ones that matched saving me $100 on delivery. I should have double checked the salesman and did a little more research before putting my trust in this process. Allan, I still expect a full refund including the rip off delivery service if this issue is not resolved promptly.

The only thing I'm missing is a printout with the part numbers that he was supposed to send with the delivery crew but, other than that, this was a wonderful experience. Thanks for my new sectional!

Bought a couch here years ago and were sold on the warranty. Very distinctly remember the salesperson saying that if we don't use it they refund you the cost of the warranty after 5 years because we werent going to get it. I called twice over the years to discuss when we would get the refund. Called today and am now told "oh it's store credit, not a refund". I sure feel like I was misled. Skip the hassle, get your furniture somewhere else. Couch isn't even well made and had cracks in the wood in less than a year.

Let me start off by saying my sales experience at Ashley’s in Hixson was not bad. I bought a sectional couch clearance floor model. After getting the couch home, I decided to clean the fabric. The couch was worn more than realized at time of purchase. I’m disturbed at the amount of filth that came out of the coach. In the showroom, the condition was not evident however I find it difficult to believe this couch only sat in someone’s home for no more than 72 hours which is what my sales person told me was the policy. I’ve had my eye on the Lavernett for a while now and was very excited about this purchase only to now be disappointed. At this point I’m not certain that I even want to move the couch into my living room as planned. I’m left with the impression that Ashley’s has no concerns with selling furniture in this condition.

Greg was our salesman and he sold us. We were pleased with price. My only complaint would be was we had to load the table and chairs because they didn’t have any help.

Excellent service! We have worked with this particular store on multiple occasions for our furniture needs. All of the sales associates were very helpful and not pushy at all. My first associate was Allan and he knew each item in the store off hand and how each set broke down without looking 90% of the time. Everyone was friendly and glad to help and allowed me the ability to work through things on my own at times. They were even able to help arrange to help us to donate our old sofa. She did not schedule my order for delivery as she promised, and she screwed up the credit request by not putting income into the request so that it was denied based upon a lack of income. Pros: Lots of pieces, store is decently clean and walkable for easy viewing Cons: Most everything else After purchasing a couch at this location 9/23/23, I noticed the same exact item was listed on their site for cheaper. Upon calling the customer service number on my receipt, I was told a price match could be offered, prior to reaching a supervisor to perform the adjustment. Once connected with the supervisor they told me nothing could be done. Confused, I requested another supervisor who told me the same thing. Upset and irritable, I tried calling the store (Chattanooga Outlet location) for help; Spoke with a woman named Kim who told me she and/or the sales mgr would call to assist in this. Never having received the call, I attempted again the morning of 9/27/23. A man answered and rudely told me after explaining I was calling to speak with the sales mgr on an ongoing issue for my recent purchase, he very rudely and dismissively told me his mgr was "on the truck helping" and would call me back. I gave my number and before I could even ask if he needed a name or email, the guy hung up on me. The salesperson who assisted me, Adam, in store when I made my purchase was friendly, and I spoke with him in a follow up during a second call same day, 9/27. He mentioned his mgr was out (still) and that he or the mgr would call back today to assist/follow up. Within about 15 minutes, I received a text claiming the couch is not available online, even though advertised, and that since this is a franchise location they would not be assisting. I would not recommend this store at all unless you are comfortable with significant inconsistencies, difficulties with customer service, and want to pay a third party delivery fee so that your invoice does not show any delivery fee and thus they are unable to assist in reimbursing for delivery charges in any amount for third party company utilization. Previous purchases with the brand promised in-house delivery for little to no cost vs. a third party fee with tiered pricing. Extremely disappointed and frustrated that a simple price adjustment of only $29 has taken and is taking over 4 days, nearly a week to solve. I would say generally, the majority of people will/would fare better elsewhere, unfortunately. If you do shop here, good luck and be sure to cross check their site for price variance to ensure you are not being given another story. Had I seen other reviews ahead of my visit to the store I would not have even stopped in. Big yikes

Sales person did a good job, but the problem I had with the experience was I had to load the mattresses I purchased on the truck myself. I spent $5,000 and asked the manager for a little compensation for my trouble(2 pillows) and he said sorry but it wasn't their responsibility to load them. I purchased a mattress here but this mattress is not the mattress I saw in the store. This mattress is flat. I explained to the sales lady I wanted a mattress for a platform bed and this is not what I been seeing in the store. This looks like a flat air mattress. Not only that but I haven't even sleep on it because they said i have to wait 24 to 48 hours for it to rise. Now they saying I can't return this inflatable flat mattress. I have spent to much money for something I am not satisfied with.

Recliner was dropped and forgot to put remote for the recliner. Roach come out of chair when I was taking out of the truck. The sales guy was great and went above and beyond to help us and apologized for our trouble.

I was sent the wrong main piece (headboard) of a bedroom set, told that I had to call my sales person which is not possible, then told that I had to go into the store to resolve it myself. That was 6 hours ago! On a 3k+ purchase? The people are nice but the corporate oversight has turned Ashley into a non-service company!

The sales man, Adam was quite helpful and was not at all pushy. He was knowledgeable and when asked questions beyond his knowledge easily conferred with others for clarity. The chair was nice and looked quite comfortable. Hopefully it will be good for my mother for many years.

It was hot in there. No air at all. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves for making your sales people work in that environment. If I had already not known what I wanted, I would have left. Our salesman Allan was the best given the roasting environment.

Kim was very helpful! She greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. She allowed me to Browse without feeling smothered yet she was close enough when I needed her. I found exactly what I was looking for and even an additional piece I wasn’t! I’m happy with my purchase. The delivery was sort of expensive being that I’m not far from the store. They charge per total cost of the bill rather than by distance to travel. But the delivery drivers gave me a courtesy call before picking up my items from the store. They set it up as I needed and we’re on their way. I’d give five stars but the payment system was down and I was sent an email to pay but the online payment did not accept Ashley card so I had to go back to the store the next day and pay In store. The payment process was frustrating and almost made me change my mind but I’m glad I didn’t.

First off l made a list of furniture stores in Chattanooga we wanted to visit before buying to compare products of different manufacturers that are offered in our area, stopped had a awesome breakfast with my fiance at the waffle house on Hwy 153 in hixson 100 feet from Ashley homestore.They opened up promptly at 10:00 am. When entering we where met by Ben Coffey a Home Furnishing Professional were he informed us about what Ashley is offering at this time and if there is any questions that we may have he would be glad to explain. The day I went to them and bought the product, the payment system was down, it wasn't working, it was Friday. I received a paper through which I was to receive an email and pay online. I only received that email on Sunday. The delivery was supposed to be made on Monday. It wasn't done. And finally, surprise, I had to pay $50 for a delivery 13 minutes away from the store. We are talking about the delivery of a dresser...

Kim made me feel seen and like a valued customer. Some weeks ago, I went to Ashley's on Gunbarrel and was treated much differently. Thanks for the assistance.

Went in against my better judgement because my husband likes to get ahead of his self when it comes to thing's. Didn't think about the not having no where to put it while we redo the house. Went to leave and got a phone call saying they could put it in a warehouse for me until I was ready. Thanks you guys that made my day!!!!!!

I was disappointed. I was completely ignored by the sales people, not greeted when I came into the store. I walked around the entire store and looked for a recliner and had to approach a sales person when I found the one I wanted. Must have been my age and the way I was dressed? Old jeans and sweatshirt. I had been cleaning and moving furniture, should have walked out and gone somewhere else. I won't go back. Maureen

My wife and sister went there to look for a love seat. Found one they liked and was told the price was $499. Went back the next day and the same salesman told us that was $620. When we asked about the $499, he admitted that he told my Wife that yesterday, but could not sell at it that price. 1st excuse is the computer would not let him. 2nd excuse was that price was "at cost" and he would get fired if he sold it at that price. 3rd excuse was that he could sell at that price but would not make any money. We still like the couch, but do not want to give any money to a store that is that shady.

If you’re african american I WOULD NOT shop here. My bf purchased a dresser on 3/26/23 and was told they would hold on to it until we had a truck to come and get it.. mind you My boyfriend paid CASH in full for a $400 dresser and when he went to pick it up 4/4/23 they acted as if they wouldn’t be able to give him the dresser without seeing proof of a receipt .. Initially they never told us that we had to bring back a receipt and they couldn’t even find my boyfriends information in the system about the dresser and was not gonna let us get our $400 back OR the dresser ! But when I started talking about calling the police all of a SUDDEN they magically found the paperwork and gave us our dresser . DONT waste your money here . Go somewhere else rs ew .

I have a complaint, not with the salesperson, but with delivery. No communication, no confirmation of scheduled delivery. The deliverers woke us up at 7:30 a.m. we were not prepared to receive a delivery that early, not did we expect a delivery today, Tuesday, April 4th. We we're expecting the delivery on the 5th, because we were going out of town. There was no phone call to inform us as to when the delivery would be. The other complaint is that all business is done by texting. I don't like texting. I'm 81 and I like to do business with a live person. You need to have better communication with the customer. There was no confirmation of delivery. Not good! I tried to touch base with Jenny, but no response from her. How would Jenny, or whoever, communicated with me if I didn't have a cell phone? Is this the way Ashley does business? If so, not good!

Update to original post: We had a great shopping experience with Ben at Ashley Furniture in Hixson, TN, and originally gave a 5 star review. However, I would change this to 0 stars now if possible. My husband and I bought a 3 piece living room set & 7 piece dining room table and chairs. Everything was supposed to be delivered today, but we only received 2 of 10 pieces! The couch and loveseat are great. The recliner they sent was the wrong color & the delivery guys took it back. The table & chairs weren't picked up this morning, but they're in the warehouse in Chattanooga. We were told by delivery that they could be delivered today if requested. When we made that request we were told it would be April before we get them. Unacceptable! We have spoken to two people who are trying to resolve this issue, but they can't get us an answer. This has been going on for hours now & still no answer when to expect the rest of our stuff. There's no reason why this can't be resolved immediately! We paid cash for the purchase so we are not a priority to them now. That's how it feels at least. Very disappointing! Original post: Ben made our Ashley experience great!
