While recently shopping for a new sectional for my family, we entered the Ashley store and was greeted by Christy Herbert. Our experience was wonderful! Christy took the time to listen to our wants and made several recommendations and was very patient with us during the process. Her customer service was nothing I had experienced before during furniture shopping. Usually it feels like we are a wounded animal that stumbled upon a pack of wolves, but not this time. Christy took her customer service a step further and provided us with weekly updates that were thorough proactive, thorough, and detailed. She was kind and considerate throughout this process. When we have a future furniture need, Christy is who I will turn to for help. I am confident in her ability. This store is luck to have a representative like Christy!

We have been buying furniture from Ashley for years and I’ve gotten a number of great products. Recently, they solved a difficult problem for me. A couple of years ago I had bought a pair of living room lamps, and one of them was broken in our move. The lamp was discontinued, and I had searched all over the country to try to find the lamps. I went to the store and Dana found some in inventory at a few stores in West Virginia. They said they would get it the next time someone went to one of those stores. Well, two days later, in the middle of the snowstorm, they had brought back my new lamp! Now that is excellent customer service! PS - the sofa, the table on the left and the lamps are from Ashley

We needed a dining room table for a new home and developed a list of home furnishings stores in the area. We decided to start with the closest to us which happened to be the Ashley Home Store. So glad we did for we found what we wanted at a great price right there. Lindsay Chadwick greeted us, offered to help, and let us look. When we found what we wanted, Lindsay was ready to answer questions and fairly quickly got all the paperwork completed. She even helped us load the table and chairs onto our trailer! Not only did we find a dining table and chairs, but we also found, with Lindsay’s patient assistance, a tv stand with a fireplace insert. Very happy with the Ashley Home store and very happy that Lindsay was the person to help us!

We bought a kitchen island and 4 chairs on 11/25/25. The island was finally delivered over a month later, 12/27/25, with incorrect chairs that were the wrong height due to our salesperson inputting the order wrong (standard instead of counter height). As of today, 1/12/26, we are STILL waiting on the chairs and the refunded delivery charge that was promised to us. We will not be back to Ashley Furniture and will not recommend it to others. I have yet to be contacted by a manager even though our salesperson has been made aware about the issues with our order. As I STAND here eating my lunch at the island with no chairs, I wish we had shopped elsewhere.

He did an amazing job working for and with us, and kept up communication during our waiting period for our delivery! Ok still going on and still haven't received my TV intertanment center with fireplace I ordered it November 26 2025 and I get it the women said about two weeks. Well after that I called no answer left message next day I have a text will be between 27 or 29 of December 2025 .Well 30 December I call the women than says we have to wait for the insole for the fireplace comes in and it want be shipped until January 14 ok wouldn't the insole be with the fireplace when they got it .still know one has called about it or anything first time shopping at this place and it will be my last.

I bought a living room set with them, the recliner broke day 1. I have to drive it back to them to get fixed, seems like poor customer service.

I give it a 2 star not because of the sales but the process in getting my furniture which has yet to get here. I was told when purchasing that it would be at local warehouse on November 29th. One piece of the set had only got to warehouse and they said rest will be in December 13th (today). I called and one of the pieces out of the 2 will be there today and the other by the end of the week. You would think production would work on one order to get it done quicker for delivery. My husband and I have to do a lot of planning to remove old furniture to put in new and he isn’t available to do anything during the week due to work. So if they call me Tuesday and say they can deliver Friday we can’t plan to get old furniture out. I also thought I would have furniture before Christmas which looks like that isn’t happening. Poor production/delivery process but they got their sale. Update: I am responding to Ashley Furniture response. I really don’t think that issues are being worked on to improve. I have seen posts from 5 months to almost a year that have had similar issues. I think either management of production needs to either be removed or they need to take a different approach on how they manage. I think they should be more proactive in contacting customer when they are told specific dates and it won’t be ready by that date. A customer shouldn’t have to call to get an update on their product. Just my opinion.

When told that the VA Ashley store couldn't arrange delivery to our TN address, we called the Johnson City location and spoke with Cathy K. She verified that the same item was available at her store, coordinated payment over the phone, and set up delivery for the next time we were going to be at the TN house. Everything went so smoothly, and all the credit goes to Cathy.

Bought sofa in store 7/23. Was delivered 8/6. Went to store on 8/15 to ask about price adjustment when I saw online price was $300 less. Spoke to Teresa. Was told since I had "taken possession" of item, it could not be adjusted, only if had not been delivered yet. Go to store, look at options, BUY ONLINE. Do not buy locally at this store. Poor customer service.

I went into the Ashley store in Johnson city a few weeks ago to browse. Tala spoke with me and was very helpful with any questions I had. She was very understanding I didn't know what direction to go with size for my smaller apartment. She actually gave me some helpful advice in selecting a size appropriate to my needs, by using masking tape to mark the area so I could get a visual. She gave me her card. I was able to take plenty of time to decide what I wanted. I gave her a call, in no time at all, she ordered it for me. I didn't even have to go back into the store. Absolutely recommend her!

EDIT***: Shortly after this review we managed to get in contact with the general sales manager who fixed this delivery in the span of a week. He said it should have been sorted within 24 hours and they apologized, and quickly scheduled for a replacement piece to be delivered! Still hate how long it took to receive prompt customer service, but at least we finally got the right part of our sectional! The actual shopping experience was pleasant and my husband and I found pieces we really are in love with. I would change my rating to at least 4 stars if we were given some kind of actual customer service after giving them thousands of dollars. The only issue that has yet to be resolved is that we received two right arm facing pieces to our sectional and no one has reached out to us, despite the delivery drivers telling us that “customer care” would contact us to fix it. They never did. My husband has had to be the one to reach out several times to several different numbers and it feels like people continue to pass the buck and no one wants to take responsibility. They said “we” ordered it wrong… when that isn’t really our job and a sales rep dealt with it in the store and we had nothing to do with the order except giving them our money. (The invoice did actually show that it was ordered correctly when we double checked.) Then they said it was the warehouse that sent the wrong piece. Then the warehouse said that the store ordered the wrong piece. Then they said it was our fault for “accepting” the order when the delivery drivers told us that it wouldn’t be an issue and to wait for that “customer care” to call us. They delivered it about three weeks ago now and nothing has actually been done to fix it nor has anything been communicated to us. It took almost a week to get ahold of someone in the first place and it’s now been 2 full weeks with no communication.

Horrible experience. Bought a couch off of them (Johnson City Location). It was delivered 4 days ago. It is already broken. Still has the tags on it. No one has sat on the couch because we have a faimly member in the NICU and haven't been home since. Called to ask the store to help us get this resolved and the best the manager can do is give us a 1-800 number to call. Didn't ask for a name, order number, or anything. You are simply on your own after you hand them the cash. They beg you to fill out a Google review while you are purchasing but don't want to actually give you decent service. I know they arn't going to be the ones that actually fix it but you would think we could still get some support less than a week later.

I've had such a great experience with this store! Tala was a pleasure to work with. I tried using the website first and called the customer service number but recieved no help with any of my questions after 3 days of waiting for a call back, I finally called the store...what a difference! I'll be returning to this store for all my furniture purchases, Tala actually cared and wanted my business.

Extremely difficult to schedule delivery. Their workers are lazy!! Schedule a week in advance after buying two mattresses from them, and they don’t come on deliver day because they “forgot to confirm” Then they don’t even call to confirm a day with them, we had to call them. All i’m saying is if you spend a lot of money at a store/company they should at least be timely and organized.

I worked with Cathy at Ashely on our recent purchase. She was very helpful and nice walking us through the selection process. We chose to pick up our purchase ourselves and she reached out to let us know as soon as it arrived. The whole process was seamless. I would definitely recommend working with Cathy for any upcoming furniture purchases.

Bought couches here less than 4 years ago. Saleswoman Teresa assured us that the couches were NOT the material that peels. Over 4k and 363 days later, one couch started peeling. It was a holiday weekend, so we called the first business day after and was told the one year warranty was up and the extra warranty we purchased did not cover this. Obviously, I wasn't happy and demanded a supervisor, and was told they would ask management, and of course they blew me off. Now, less than 4 years later, we are shopping for new couches again because they have completely lost all back support. Horrible quality. We tell everyone who mentions needing new furniture to avoid this place. BTW- we are 50+ with no kids at home and we are not hard on our furniture.

We went to several furniture stores looking for bedroom furniture. At the Ashley store in Johnson City TN, Cathy went above and beyond in helping us decide. Very knowledgeable and helpful throughout our wandering back and forth trying to decide. Great job Cathy 🤗

I bought a Tempur-pedic mattress at Ashley in Johnson city and it’s by far the best mattress i have ever owned. Tala, who sold me the mattress was so kind and helpful throughout the entire process.

My husband and I went to this store to purchase a new mattress and frame base. Sales rep Dana assured us that the frame we chose was readily available. Several weeks later Dana notifies us via text that the mattress had arrived and that the frame would not be available for an additional 3 weeks. I texted her back and asked if there was any different frame that could be substituted, she replied that she would inquire about it. And then she went on vacation and never returned my message. I called the store a week later asking to speak with Dana, as she “had just left”, and left a message with the store clerk to have her call me. Dana never called. I called the store the following day and asked to speak with the store manager. He was able to arrange a substitute frame base for me. Then came the many challenges of trying to get the mattress and frame delivered. I haven’t ever had this much difficulty with any previous furniture purchase. Ever. I won’t be going back to Ashley for any future purchases.

I have made several purchases from Ashley but my most recent was and still is a complete nightmare. I ordered a dining table/chairs the first week of Oct. I was quoted a 3 week turnaround. At the 3 week mark I had still not been contacted. I called to discover the funtire was in the warehouse and was advised I should have been contacted already. I called the warehouse to only be treated very rudely by the woman who answered. I had to wait an additional 2 weeks for delivery. The table that was delivered was broken and I was short 2 chairs. Again, I was told I should have been contacted in regards to the chairs but I never was. I called Ashley to be directed to a customer care number. I called that number and let them know about my broken table and missing 2 chairs. I also discovered one of the chairs delivered was assembled incorrectly and I requested a replacement chair as the screw was threaded improperly leaving a large space and no possible fix without damage. That was Nov 16th. I am still waiting for a replacement and complete delivery. I contacted Ashley and was simply given a meaningless "sorry." Update- I called in December to inquire about my purchase as I still had not received it. The customer care rep argued I had received all my chairs. Once that was settled I was scheduled for delivery for the 21st of December andI advised I coukd only do morning and was assured that note would be made. They set delivery for afternoon and I had to cancel. Delivery was rescheduled for January. This past Saturday was my delivery date and they did not show. I called to ask why and was told that I was never placed on the docket for the day. So now I have another delivery date for this saturday. We shall see if they show up. I was also promised a $200 refund check that I have not received, and it has been a month since I was supposedly issued that check. When I call or text the rep about the check I am told that they will look into it. This is been a huge mess and I have now taken this issue to corporate as this location has not been Cooperative nor do they care. The rep is no longer answering my messages.

My cousin had an awful experience with Ashley Furniture’s customer service. Not only were the representatives rude and dismissive when called about an issue with their order, but they also refused to take responsibility for their mistake. They were sent the wrong item, and instead of offering a refund or a reasonable solution, they gave the runaround and acted like it was our fault. The lack of professionalism and accountability is shocking. I would strongly recommend avoiding this location—there are plenty of other places that treat their customers with respect.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the extensive delays I have experienced during my recent purchase with your store. While I initially chose Ashley Furniture based on your reputation for quality and customer service, my experience has fallen far short of the standards one would expect from a business of your standing. I placed my order on Oct 25th with the understanding that delivery would take place Nov 14th. However, it has now been almost a full month and the items has still not arrived. Despite multiple attempts to follow up with your customer service team, I have been met with vague explanations, shifting delivery dates, and a lack of concrete solutions to expedite the process. This delay has caused significant inconvenience, as I have had to rearrange my schedule multiple times to accommodate anticipated deliveries that were later postponed. Additionally, the lack of proactive communication from your side has left me frustrated, as I have repeatedly had to contact your team to get updates rather than being informed in a timely manner. Furthermore, when I visited your store, your representatives assured me that delivery would be smooth and timely. I trusted this information when making my purchase, yet the reality has been entirely different. This raises serious concerns about the accuracy of the information provided at the point of sale and the efficiency of your logistics process. I understand that delays can occasionally happen due to unforeseen circumstances, but the lack of accountability and resolution offered by your team is unacceptable. I believe it is the responsibility of a reputable business to not only deliver on its promises but to keep customers informed and provide appropriate remedies when things go wrong. I am requesting: 1. A detailed explanation for the delay, including specific reasons why the delivery has taken so long. 2. An updated and guaranteed delivery date for my items 3. Compensation or a discount to acknowledge the inconvenience and disruption caused by this prolonged delay. I hope you will treat this matter with the urgency and seriousness it deserves. Please acknowledge receipt of this complaint and provide a timeline for when I can expect a response. I trust that you will address this matter promptly and ensure that other customers do not face similar frustrations.

The sales team was very helpful and gave me room to look around and think. That is the best part of the experience. The cost of the furniture does not justify how inaccurate their delivery scheduling is. Which by the way is a separate cost. From the time we purchased our furniture there was a 3 week delay on deliveries. Then our delivery date was missed and no one called with an explanation of where our paid for furniture was. Finally the customer service over the phone ranges from irritated to exhausted that I would dare call them for updates. If you need furniture in the Tri-cities, TN area go to one of their competitors and avoid the delivery woes of this organization.

I purchased a couch and a chair here last month. It's been over 6 weeks and I still have not received my order. Initially I was told 2-3 weeks for delivery. As the 3 week mark approached, I reached out asking for an update as I hadn't heard from anyone. I was told it's "coming in here Tuesday". I waited until the following Tuesday (a full week after the delivery date) and still had not been contacted, so I reached out again only to be told "next week". 2 weeks later I STILL have not heard from anyone, so I just called only to be once again told "coming in Tuesday" and I have zero faith that it will. No one has bothered to reach out and tell me it's been delayed or apologize for this ridiculous wait. I will not be going back and encourage others to stay away.

Tala was very knowledgeable and able to use personal anecdotes to help find what we were most looking for. She had a strong working knowledge of the store, stock, and procedures. My only gripe had to do with how financing for extended periods works. It was not explained well in-store that by choosing the longer period it affected the price at which the pieces we were purchasing would start. Once we understood this, we were fine, but it did give us a scare. Overall Tala did great.

Couch is half a year old ... has been sat on maybe 40 times? We don't use it much. It's already squeaking really loud when you sit on it, no we're not heavy people. All under 180 lbs. Paid $1300 for this thing. Cool!

Great service at the store level! When they called to schedule delivery (out of state number), they didn’t leave a voicemail and didn’t call back. I had to call and ask where my furniture was. Store level service is great, but processes at the distribution level is lacking.

They were very helpful and offered Lindsey multiple solutions to get us exactly what we were looking for; such as suggestion certain fabrics that are easier to clean with our pets and offering to order sections to fit the space we needed.

Ashley Furniture contacted the Johnson City, TN store as the nearest location to our delivery address in Banner Elk, NC. Cathy was very prompt, courteous and helpful with texting me updates about when she would be able to contact me, finding me the best price on the sofa and protection plan we were looking at and placing the order for me - all via text, phone calls and email. She gave me better prices than the website was showing me and worked with me on the delivery date. Thanks Cathy!

Guess we weren't dressed up enough. We left.

The guys who set up on delivery did not put the feet on the ottoman right. When we went to move the ottoman one of the feet fell off. After reading my review Ashley reached out and had someone at my house within 5 days fixing the issue. I changed my 4 stars to 5 stars!

Ask for Lindsay!!! She was absolutely incredible. She did not push us at all. She didn't brother us while we looked, she gave us space, but made sure to check in. We actually purchased from them with most of our stuff because of her. She was honest and upfront about how long deals were lasting. We spoke to a man there and he wouldn’t tell us when the sale was ending, but Lindsay would! She is super sweet and I will definitely be going to her for all my future purchases!

We visited a few furniture stores looking for a loveseat recliner. The only store that a salesperson greeted us and asked us if we needed help, was Ashley. Cathy directed us to the area we needed. She checked on us often. We found a set on clearance, but it was damaged. She found another one at the warehouse and was waiting for the manager to tell us a price. We left the store and 5 minutes later She called and gave us an updated price. We came back and made the purchase. Cathy was friendly and we appreciated her sales style of not being pushy and leaving us to make choices without pressure.

Ordered a bed and mattress and paid to have it delivered. However they were missing bolts and couldn’t complete it. I was disappointed that nobody from Ashly reached out to us nor did they try to send out a technician with the parts. They mailed them which took two weeks to arrive. By this time my fiancé was just ready to have it built so I decided to start putting it together myself. By the time I finished something seemed off. After some investigating I discovered they had delivered a twin side piece instead of a king. It took two more weeks to get someone out to fix it. Thanks to Cathy in Johnson city we were able to receive some compensation however we had to initiate that too. It’s really unexceptionable. A company should immediately take responsibility for mishaps and bend over backwards to help costumers they had wronged. Had Ashley immediately reached out and made an effort to fix things ASAP this would be a much different review. I don’t plan to buy anything else from Ashley furniture.

We came in looking for a mattress after stopping by another local furniture store first. Cathy King greeted us as we walked in and we told her we were looking for a new mattress. Instead of showing us where the mattress department was and then leaving us like the other store did, she had us try out many different mattresses. She didn’t try rushing us on our decision and spent about an hour with us while we finally chose what was best for the both of us.

We had a great experience at Ashley Furniture. We are returning customers. They do a great job of providing excellent customer service and their salesman, Tom Powers, was very knowledgeable and helpful. He was persistent in helping us find a sideboard that was on sale that we had seen on line and were having a hard time locating. Also, they helped us find a delivery person since our sideboard was a close out sale item and we couldn’t pick it up. We highly recommend Ashley Furniture for all your furniture needs.

Decided not to purchase. A return fee of 20% on a three thought dollar couch is a bit much with a delivery fee of $500. Found the exact same for $800 less.

We came in to buy a new bed and we didn't even know what options were out there. Lindsay greeted us as we walked in and was so friendly. She showed us all the different options of mattresses and frames, and was very knowledgeable. We finally settled on a bed! We loved Lindsay! We'll definitely go back to Ashley and we will ask for Lindsay every time!

Update:: After finally picking out a couch that fits in our house we are told that we have to renegotiate our Leasing and that they have changed leasing companies and so now we have to wait to have the couch delivered. Mind you I did not cancel the order as I stated below. I'm honestly considering canceling it and I should have never even went and picked out a couch that will actually fit into our living room. We go in there to pay the remaining for our lease because now they're saying that we are $100 over what we were approved for and then they tell us that their systems are down and it is due to the fact that they're switching loan companies. They acted like they couldn't even tell us anything and that we'd have to come back on monday. I highly recommend going to Rent-A-Center or some other high-end furniture store. This is been a nightmare. We've given them several chances and it's been 4 months down the road and still have not gotten our furniture. They also say that they do deliveries for several other companies. So you're lucky if you even get it delivered once you get it that is the problem we were having initially. Now we're told that they don't even have her loan agreement and it's like what the heck were we even doing there when we went back to refinance the couch. These people need to get hold on it. Previous review:: After purchasing a couch for nearly $4000. We waited nearly a month. We still have not had it delivered and after paying all of that money plus additional to have it delivered and nothing has been done. We had somebody scheduled to come out and they came out an hour and a half early and then tried to tell me that they were coming back. I waited for several hours and got nothing. I called the store and they told me they were just so booked after we had done nothing but move all of our furniture out of the house. We have nowhere to sit and no furniture. I'm canceling the order and I want nothing to do with the store. Super unprofessional. They tell me that the deliveries are booked and that if somebody cancels we'll get a spot. I have nothing to do with it I'm canceling the order. I should have known better. My review below was based on the salesperson being super sweet and this has nothing to do with her. Initial review:: Meredith is absolutely hands-down the sweetest salesperson I've dealt with. We came in at closing but she stayed with our family an hour after closing and got us financed to purchase the coach. We really appreciate all of her assistance and patience with us. Highly recommend her!!

Lindsay was so great to work with. Very friendly and accommodating. Moving from out of state, she made the whole process seamless and made sure my couch was delivered by the time I moved in. The couch was in great condition when I received it and the delivery was quick and easy too.

We pretty much knew what we wanted walking in, so an easy sale. Tala, however, made it fun, knew her stuff, and was a good sport with my husband's shenanigans. And the turtle shell has been a huge hit!

The staff at the store is excellent. The staff at the warehouse will be putting Ashley Funiture out of business. I have been waiting for 3 weeks for my bed frame and a sofa. Still haven't received it yet! I was notified last week that the truck from the warehouse will be here on the 2nd of June. I called the warehouse to see what time I could expect the delivery. I was informed they don't deliver in my area on Friday's. So I now have to wait another week. If you buy from an Ashley Funiture store! And your item comes from a warehouse! Good luck trying to get it. If I known it would take a month to deliver the stuff. I would have gone somewhere else. I never saw so much monkeying around than the Ashley Warehouse. Big waste of time and money.

I came in for something I saw online but Dana showed me some other options. She was very informative and provided great service. I fell in love with something more expensive after seeing the products in person. It was a big decision and she gave me space to think on my own. No one likes a pushy sales person!! I enjoyed shopping at Ashley's today. Cathy King was so helpful, I told her what I wanted, she didn't try and talk me into buying something else and that means a lot to me! I will ask for her the next time I'm there. Then when the mattress arrived at my house it was totally different than what I wanted! I don't know what she was thinking, but it has drove me away from being an Ashley's customer!

I had a wonderful experience this time at Ashley. I love Ashley furniture, so I went in to look at a couch I found online. I got Cathy King to help me and she was great! She answered all of my questions, went above and beyond to make sure I understood everything, and walked all over the store with me until I made up my mind.

Went to look for a platform bed and the girl was extremely rude, felt like she wasn't interested in making a sell to 2 old people! If I could give them a 0 I would have. Never going back.

Half of our furniture arrived with stains or what appears to be glue on chair fabric. A screw was protruding through one of our table tops. The delivery people smelled so bad that I couldn't get the smell out of our home for days. We called in to return several items, some of which the salesperson wanted to be argumentative over. He intentionally stayed quiet while I was in the store ordering the table and chairs based on the 10 chair display setup that they had in store, knowing full well that the 10 chairs didn't fit in the table correctly. They had them placed in such a way that it would not be noticeable in the store. However, when I stated that I would like to return 2 of the chairs as they did not fit properly in the table, he said "well that table isn't made for 10 chairs", although he had no problem selling them to me. Now, in order to return them and several other items after spending 14k on furniture they're charging a 25% restocking fee, which stinks, but it is what it is...getting them to follow up and pick up their junk has been an absolute nightmare! "It's a process" is what I've been told for days now. BUYER BEWARE!!! God forbid something doesn't fit or look good in your home, you will lose 25% returning it (If you can get them to take the return at all), though they'll gladly exchange it for some other low quality options.

If you want to get good furniture you should go to Ashley’s home store and they treat you very well like Cathy which is one of the best worker I ever meet. If you want good furniture ask Cathy and she is going to help you very well.

I will never do business or recommend this business to anyone. The sales people are friendly, don’t get me wrong but the pressure to buy is ridiculous. I regret so much not walking out when I had the chance but I felt obligated to purchase after being approved for the financing. I have waited 2 months for the set to come in, and the delivery people couldn’t fit it through my front door. I’ve been told a 15% restock fee is required to cancel the order, there is no empathy from anyone, including “customer care”. I’ve rescheduled delivery and will make it work since I’m clearly locked into this disaster but I will never step foot back in an Ashley store for anything. To update: they FINALLY sent delivery people with common sense and got the furniture through the door. My main issue is being told that I would be forced to pay a restock fee when it isn’t my fault they didn’t try hard enough to get it in. I already have a sectional in the house, if that will fit and a king size bed anything will. I was told “the paperwork you signed states a restock fee is required” but that was in terms of PREFERENCE meaning if I got the set and disliked it after it was in my house. It was all about money to the store and nothing was offered in terms of making it right for the stress or headache it caused.

Tala is absolutely fabulous- this was my first major furniture purchase and I KNOW I’ll be back. From explaining the products, price, and processes everything was fantastic and I found a collection I know I will love for a lifetime. I cannot recommend her and Ashley enough.

Johnson city, Tn store! Run run run! I’ve had a sofa bed since June. First of all, wouldn’t fold out. Then technician came and put new frame in! Then it’s worse. Couldn’t get out to even get mattress in. Therefore a couch sitting there with mattress lying on top of it. Ok, going to order me a new one. Finally checked last thur. Yes was in and had Bn there since November 22! Not notified. Lady at warehouse in west va not nice. Then had to call grey warehouse. She was rude. Said had to call and arrange pymt to bring back defective couch, and pick up new one. Yes we did pick up original couch! Why should we have to pay to return their defective couch? She said that was the chance we took by picking up! I have to say people in store have Bn nice. Warehouse, no. Now I’m waiting on a call from manager at store from yesterday! I guarantee my word of mouth will cost u more than delivery fee. I also bought a sectional there at same time. It already has a small tear. Makes me think poor quality, even worse customer service. I will never purchase anything from this store again ! For now, u may find this couch with mattress sitting on curbside! Would never recommend!

We had a fantastic experience at Ashley Johnson City. We walked in without high hopes in finding what we needed (bookshelves/library) after going to five other places. Lindsay greeted us and steered us toward a few items in the store but they didn’t meet our needs. She then helped us look through the online catalog where we found just what we wanted. I wasn’t sure about purchasing since I couldn’t see the wood finish in person. Lindsay went out of her way to find a similar piece of furniture with the same finish made by the same manufacturer so I could see what it would look like. We ordered the pieces and absolutely love our choices!!

I researched this piece on the Ashley website and when it said 5-6 week delivery, I was ok with it, but then Cathy said it is in stock here and I could get it very soon, we were ecstatic. Pretty helpful people, although wires can get crossed easily (one person tell you one thing over the phone, the next person in store says I have no idea who would’ve told you that). However, I was able to get some really good deals on a recliner for my son and a mattress for my daughter. And the warehouse folks in Gray, TN stayed over closing time by over an hour to help get me my purchases that same day instead of having to wait for delivery or the next day. I was pleased. Will buy from again.

I have to say, our buying experience at Ashley Furniture w/Lindsay was one of the most pleasant we've had in a very long time. She was so very helpful in providing all the information we needed, with absolutely no pressure or that obligatory stress that tends to happen on many sales floors. We bought a large sectional in store in mid September and were told to expect delivery in 6 weeks. 6 weeks came and went and we didn't hear anything, so we started calling. Finally, I receive a call saying it is coming on Saturday. We remove our entire living room set the night before. On Saturday, we don't hear anything. The store says they don't handle that and we need to call a different number where we are told it won't be delivered until December 10th. After arguing with a non-empathetic rep, she says some of the items will be delivered next Saturday. Now, here we are an empty living room just hoping that we actually receive our purchase and have something for our families to sit on come the Thanksgiving holiday. Would never buy here again.

We stopped in on Dec. 1st to look around and purchase an extra night stand. After looking around for a bit, we also made another purchase. We were told after checking out to expect a phone call within 3 weeks about delivery of our order. Well, Christmas came and went no call or follow up on the status of our order, then same for new years. It wasn't until the end of January that we received a follow-up status on our order and was told it would be here within a week. After that f/u message received about the arrival date of our order (which did not come) we received another message week later stating we are just waiting on all items to show up, we were told to expect delivery last week and never got a call or message again. Finally, almost 12 weeks later, we get a call about our order being ready. You talk about poor, poor customer service. I used to really like this location and made several purchases there. Doubt, I'll ever go back here now.

Do not buy anything in this store, dont say i didnt warn you! Theres not enuf room on here for me to spill my guts. Edit one year later, 2 years old total. And i bought the warranty that they said covered anything so hope you all see this.

This is my full experience with Ashleys and it was terrible. Over a month ago we decided to go to the Johnson city store and purchase all our new furniture for our home. We spent a lot of money with them and they gave us the run around with every piece of furniture we got. They said our items would be in and they never came, they ordered the wrong size bed, didn't send shelves with a cabinet, gave us the wrong lamps, gave us a table off the floor that has been used, they over charged us for items, they refused to make the situations any better. Management is terrible there they have no idea what they are doing or selling. At one point one of the workers voiced to us that they were terrified of one of the other employees that work at the register. The lady was hateful as could be clearly unhappy to be there. I will never go back to Ashleys it was a nightmare to say the least. This is an honest review and if your thinking of going to Ashleys please save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else. This is the short version of what all we had to endure. I wouldn't recommend this establishment to anyone.

The staff at Ashleys are only interested in making a sale, they don't want to stand behind their return policy and keep refusing to fix the bill that they messed up. Save yourself time and go somewhere else.

Spent hours in this store recently selecting two products. Had to wait over two weeks for delivery as these items have long lead times. On delivery, one of the two items was ordered incorrectly despite all the time we invested ensuring proper product selection. Such a simple and avoidable problem. Will avoid this store in the future. After over two hours invested, getting a 50% success rate on just two items ordered makes you want to take your business elsewhere. Process and quality control issues clearly exist at this location.

I ordered a sectional online.3000$. Delivery people never called. I got an email saying what date I would get it. Then after waiting 2 weeks they call the day I take my old couch out because it’s the day before they are supposed to come and they call saying it will be 2 more weeks. Do not purchase here if you want to have it delivered to you. They don’t even answer questions for your delivery. They send you to 4 different numbers that no one helps you on. After all this happened Cathy at the Johnson city store contacted me and I was able to pick up the couch atleast. If you do buy from Ashley I prefer the in store method as online was a pure headache.

DO NOT SHOP HERE, THEY DON’T HONOR THEIR WARRANTY… Purchased a Headboard, Bed-Frame combination along with a Dresser and night stand in Sept. Two nights ago the Bed Frame broke while I was sleep scared me to death, I call and there is no form of customer service. Spoke with someone at the store and she wasn’t able to get a hold of anyone at the Customer Service Department either. So I have a new broken bed frame and insurance on it that I cannot use.
