We went into Ashley furniture with no intention of a purchase. We simply wanted to check out mattresses, specifically the Purple brand. The staff left us alone until we had laid down on several mattresses, trying them out. At that point, Richard Rogers asked if we might need some assistance. We said certainly. He’s a very nice man, and very knowledgeable on mattresses. He suggested we use the assessment machine to get an idea of what our bodies might find most useful. Interesting technology. Long story short, we did buy a mattress and base that elevates While we likely could have chased around for a better deal, our time was best used at the Kingsport Ashley store. We are very happy with the support Rich provided. He’s obviously a salesman but he knows his stuff and doesn’t seem to be prone to up selling efforts. We are very satisfied with the result!!

After going to another store and being told out couch would be delivered today, then getting a call saying they didn't have all the pieces, we ended up at Ashley's. Rich was amazing!! We found the same couch we were supposed to be getting, but it was more than the other store. Rich not only gave us a great price but made sure we got delivery and warranty for a lower price. We only paid $100 more with Ashley's, but Rich was able to guarantee delivery! If you go to Ashley's in Kingsport ask for Rich he will take good care of you.

The service was great in store. I bought a tempurpedic queen size bed with adjustable base, a dresser (no mirror), a chest of drawers and headboard, and delivery with set up all for 7G. Good wood but wow expensive.

I have purchased multiple times from Ashley in Kingsport. Rich has helped me over the years and is one of the reasons I like to go to that store. I went in to buy a mattress and boxed springs yesterday, and he was as helpful as always. He introduced me to a sales person named Vanessa, and she took excellent care of me during the purchase. The really nice thing is that it is not a high-pressure sales environment. The people are friendly and seem to really work well as a team helping each other. The quality of the merchandise is good and the prices are reasonable. No reason not to shop there!
This was my first time buying from Ashley Furniture. I have always purchased elsewhere due to finding the best deals. I was greeted by Richard Roger’s and instantly felt a sense of trust with him. We had a great experience at Ashley due to our salesperson, Gina Hite. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and patient with us while we made our decisions, without being pushy . This was a big buy for us and we appreciated her help and experience!
Me and my wife had ordered bar stools that was to be shipped to the store. We was told they had came in so we drove all the way from big stone gap, va to find out they in fact was not there. The computer messed up and showed them to be there when they wasn’t. When Rich Roger’s and Gina Hite seen what had happened they jumped through hoops to get our issue solved and save us from having to make the long trip back! They was able to get us the floor models and we drove off with our stools! We highly recommend them and we will be buying all our furniture from them!

Richard was very helpful I had purchased a living room suite in 12.20 and told by sales lady is was leather paid $2600 for it it isn’t leather an I purchased the pet warranty which isn’t run out an warranty company won’t take care of it but the suit is peeling but Richard has helped me with purchasing another suit and was very helpful I really recommend him for your next purchase

We had a great experience at Ashley’s in Kingsport. They had the sectional we were after but we needed a right facing sofa chaise so they ordered it for us. Cassi was awesome. No pressure assistance, answered all of our questions regarding size, ordering, shipping, price matching, protection and more. She even helped me measure it with a tape measure. We were also able to have it shipped closer to home so that we as an added bonus. Definitely a good experience. Ask for Cassi if you go.

Experience was great. Rich was able to price match competitors even when others at Ashley said they couldn't. He follow-up with the delivery team to move our date up. We are running into issues with the drawers and Rich is working on getting that resolved.

We started out just stopping by to browse. Cassi was immediately attentive to our needs and advised us of the lay out of the store and where to find everything we may have needed. She was a very polite and helpful sales professional. She did not hover, allowed us to browse freely and checked in with us on occasion. Then there was Rich, what an absolute pleasure to work with. He was friendly, kind, helpful and pointed us in the direction of some real deals. And I must say, Rich smelled amazing, his cologne was subtle and professional. We got to meet the Manager, super kind and made us feel right at home. Gina wasn't part of our sales team but she was extremely sweet and inviting. Unfortunately, I can't remember the young lady who completed the sales transaction but she was so personable and easy to work with. Not to mention, she was kind and welcoming. The young gentleman in the warehouse was also very sweet and attentive. He offered to go above and beyond to make us comfortable with our purchase. Since we furnished multiple room, all of these professionals ensured we got a great deal. I feel like we got the best bang for our buck. All in all, our experience at Ashley of Kingsport was phenomenal. I would highly recommend this store. You won't be sorry that you see their great products, but, more importantly, you will be made to feel like family and treated with the utmost respect. My Mom and I went to Ashley furniture in Kingsport and were greeted by Gina and Rich. They were so great to work with and help us find the perfect furniture for my home which is my first home so I didn't really know what I wanted plus I’m very indecisive😂. With the help from my Gina and Rich I was able to find the perfect sectional plus a dining room table and coffee table. Went to Ashley Furniture on a Grand Opening Day. Everyone was nice and welcoming. Beautiful furniture & accessories. Richard R. was great! He assisted my daughter in buying her own couch for the first time. Richard was very kind and helpful!
We shopped with Rich while he was at the new Chillicothe Ohio location at their Grand Opening event. I had a wonderful experience. Shopping for anything with me is a long process, I research and overthink every last detail. So I came prepared to spend a good bit of time and didn’t want to tie him up from other customers. So I communicated to him my plan and asked that he just allow me to let him know when I was ready. He was phenomenal!!! He checked back often, most times having to search the entire store for me. But he hung in with me, was beyond kind and even shared his contact information with me so that the next time we are through Tennessee we can stop in Kingsport and visit. Ultimately we made our purchase of a sectional, once home we noticed 2 mistakes on the invoice (their computers went down during our sale) I called the next day and Rich immediately fixed the issue which included ordering an additional piece of the sofa at no additional cost to us. I truly expected to call in the next day, talk to a random customer service person who would tell me that since I didn’t notice before signing there was nothing they could do. But nope! Rich took care of it!!! This is a first for me! I walked out on a purchase at Big Sandy about 5 months ago because of their failure to communicate and deceitful antics of tacking on additional costs. Rich and Ashley’s has given me hope of a future of purchasing furniture locally and not being forced to only purchase online! Thank you Rich and the whole team that came for Chillicothe’s Grand Opening. You set the bar high!

We had a great experience shopping at Ashley Furniture in Kingsport. We were looking for a recliner and actually found a near identical option at another store at a lower cost. A young lady whose name is Cassi, did a great job helping me find just the right set I was looking for, within less than an hour I found, I purchased. A done deal. She was great in every aspect. My husband and I had come in to look at a specific sofa which was no longer available, but she encouraged us to browse the store and check out the sale priced merchandise. Went to Ashley's to look at new sofa and love seat since they were having a sale. Walked in and was greated immediately by Mark Eckert. He explained the sale going on and offered help of we needed it. I'm not the one that likes to be hovered around when looking to buy something. Mark wasn't like that at all. He gave us the space to look and then answered any and all questions we had. He also gave us his opinion when it came to finding the right sofa and love seat. Needless to say we ended up with sofa, loveseat, and also a TV stand. If your looking to purchase something like that I would recommend going to Ashley's and asking for Mark. He will be more than happy to help.

I would leave zero stars if I could. We bought a sofa there, and the workers damaged it while loading it,leaving a huge tear in the leather couch. They refused to do anything aside from offer us $100. They did not even apologize! We spent over $3,000 that day only to be left with a damaged couch. The workers even lied and said that my husband said he was ok with the tear, which is ridiculous. We will never shop there again and are considering taking legal action.

We recently bought a Mattress and a couch witch costed us almost over 10,000. They call us a couple days before saying they don’t have a couch in stock anymore we have to wait. Ok whatever. Then the day we move in they just have to deliver it at 8:00 in the morning or they just have to reschedule it for 3 days later.. if we would have known this we wouldn’t have spent that much money here. How can you tell someone that bought something for them when it will be delivered. Such a horrible experience.

Mark Eckert was amazing to work with. I had been in a few weeks earlier and had my things picked out. He got right on my purchase. I had an issue with my pre-approval that was my own fault but Mark made a call and they were able to finish up my loan in minutes. Took a couple weeks for delivery but the guys were amazing. The mattress is on backorder still but I can sleep on my sectional while I wait!

As a walk in customer we were told that we would get the best price, I got online after purchase and seen we were overcharged by $800. my wife went back and had it taken off the bill. They also told us we had to return a gift they gave us when they had to reduce our bill. Typical shady salesman tactics. It’s a shame, would of bought more from them but the salesman lost my trust.

This Not iKEA, the store has a nice presentation, I like some of the furniture, but dislike two things - price is high and the employees jump on customers when they roll in through the door. Some may appreciate the customer service, but it feels like a car-sales commission tactic. I realize this is not economic priced iKEA, so I will rate this review on presentation and nice customer service. There are a few cute things I wouldn't mind owning and I'll probably go back soon.

They had a store sale so it was cheaper than it was listed for online. They didn’t have one in stock but their warehouse did so no wait time. Was in and out in 30 minutes. Elijah at the kingsport TN. Location is an outstanding employee. He was so professional and helped my boyfriend and I pick out a nice little sofa/chaise for our livingroom. The interaction or lack of with the women working at the store was a different experience. They were very rude, never said hello, never smiled, and didn't even thank me or wish me a nice day after taking my credit card to pay for my purchase. I was ready to have them void out my purchase but that would only hurt Elijah and that wouldn't be right since he was so nice and professional. Hope I don't have a problem with delivery

Ok so first I want to say thank you to Britney the sales women that helped me with my purchase she was very helpful and friendly. So I bought the larkinhurst sofa at the Ashley store yesterday July 3 and haven't received the sofa yet so I can't comment on it just yet.. but I paid $869 plus tax and a $100 or so for delivery . The total was $1060.00 Wich seemed reasonable to me but when I looked it up online Ashley website had it for about $ 675.00 plus free shipping so I paid about $300 more for going to the store I feel I should have got at least the $675 price and still wouldn't mind paying for shipping.
Brittany was very helpful, she showed us the selection of couches and left us to try them out and talk as a couple and then came back later to check on us.

We were greeted as we entered Ashley's Furniture Store buy a very nice young man named Elijah. We told Elijah exactly what we needed which was a almost a full House of Furniture because we had just moved to the area. Elijah walk the entire store with me multiple times as I was looking at everything they had and deciding on what I wanted. Me of course changing my mind a few times but he stood by me and let me lead the way to pick out exactly what I wanted. Elijah made several suggestions when it came to the quality of materials that each piece was made of. He helped me pick out really great pieces. He was very patient with me. More that my husband who just went and sat down. But we did it a house full of furniture. I highly recommend Elijah.
Went to Ashley Furniture store in Kingsport just to eye shop recently. We met a salesperson name Mark. We explained we were just looking because we were low on cash and he said ok. Mark was so accommodating. He helped us look around the store and explained deals etc. Then we saw the sectional of our dreams. We really wanted it but didn't have much cash at the time. Mark went above and beyond to ensure we got that. His effort went far above that which I think he gets paid for. Thanks Ashley, for having people like Mark at the fore front. Because of him, you have now gained a new customer. I'll return soon.
I went in to Ashley’s just to browse for furniture, I was greeted by Alexandria and all my needs were met. If I need future service I will personally ask for her!
Went to the Kingsport tn location. Mattie was the lady who "helped" me. From the second I walked through the door I could tell she was only interested in the sell. Told her I was looking for a new mattress for my bed. Told her I was looking for the Icomfort brand by sealy, she claimed that they didn't carry that brand anymore. Showed me the most expensive mattress and tried to sell it to me. When I wasn't interested she left for a minute and came back saying she could give me $300 off. Told her I still wasn't interested in it. Left me again and told me to brouse selections. Where I found a Icomfort brand. But decided to go with a purple brand. Told me she would give me $300 off it. Then up selled me on a cooling package she quoted me $300 for. Then rushed me to the computer to get everything put in. Had to tell her 3 times I also wanted a chester drawers. Which she acted like she could care less about selling. Had to go find one on my own. Asked about 60 month financing which thier commercial stated was going on for the memorial day sell. But she claimed wasn't available. So I got 48 months because her supervisor stepped in. Who also claimed was unavailable. When I got ready to sign the agreement found out she charged me $500 for the cooling package, when I asked why it was $200 more she said that's what she quoted me. And couldn't get the paperwork off the printer fast enough for me to sign. Also mis quoted me on delivery fee. First told me it was $150 then changed it to $350. Was my first time dealing with this location I usually go to the Johnson city location and will probably go back to Johnson city for my next purchase. In my opinion she needs to be more customer friendly, not act like she is so interested in the sell instead of helping the customer and needs to know the price before quoting it to customers then changing it. I came a hair from just cancelling everything and going to the other location. Wish I could have had a better experience, but I'm hoping the products I did order will have the quality that I'm use to getting from Ashley's

I walked in needing a pillow. Cassi showed me where they were, set them all out for me to try, told me everything I needed to know, then gave me some privacy to try them out. I looked for weeks for furniture for my home. I finally went to AHF in Kingsport. An associate named Alex greeted me and then spent 2 1/2 hours helping me pick out different furniture. When I went back to order everything I found the living room furniture at a cheaper price and AHF price matched them. They saved me several more hundreds of dollars. I’m glad I decided to go with them and that Alex was the one to help me. Go see Alex for any furniture needs!!

I walked into Ashley homestore with my my son and we were greeted by Gina Hite who helped us with a headboard for my sons bed. Not all choices were immediately available, but with Gina’s help we made a selection with an acceptable delivery date and look forward to its arrival. Totally recommend dealing with Brittney at Ashley furniture. We bought a bed for our son and Brittney showed us several options for storage beds as we are limited on space. We ended up purchasing a bed and a mattress as well. The financing process was so easy and the bed is so cute! The protection plan gives us peace of mind if any accidents should happen. We originally came in to just kill some time as I was waiting to get a screen replaced on my phone. I thought we could easily kill an hour or so looking at entertainment centers. We were met by Sam who showed us different options. We didn't find quite what we wanted but when my husband mentioned finding one online that we both really liked, Sam tried to find it for us. We finally ended up with something we were happy with. We knew we wanted something with a fireplace insert and tried to find one around 75" in length. Sam also put my husband on a sleep mapping machine, which ended up getting him a nice sale on a Purple mattress and base. During all this time Sam was kind and patient, especially with a rambunctious 3 year old, as well as two picky customers. We are excited to get everything delivered. I've had a bad experience with Ashley furniture in the past when I had a bedroom suite delivered (my headboard was broken 3 different times when assembling) so I was apprehensive to try them again. I'm hoping this will turn out better.

I know things are on back order, that's why I asked to only be shown what they had in stock. We ordered 3 bedroom sets and a dining set for our new home in September that was all supposed to be in within 2 weeks. They ended up telling me after much back and forth it would be January. I did get the dining set finally but ended up cancelling and getting a refund on All the bedroom furniture in November. I will not do business here again. After excuses about the owner buying a new store and losing his credit, to covid, new employees and then the shipping crates floating in the ocean I had enough. I went to a competitor and had furniture in my home in less than a week. Go somewhere else.

First let me say I understand that right now things are backed up but that being said, it was the exact reason we went with the couch we did in September with an estimated delivery of November 1st after calling THREE DIFFERENT TIMES and being told someone would call me back (and no one ever has) someone finally told me it won't actually be here until February. Then when I try to talk to a manager (which I'm told is the only way to get my money back) who was unavailable, I still get no return call. So if you enjoy getting insanely different delivery dates, no return calls, and your money held hostage then I highly recommend them. Update: I finally talk to Gina who luckily was very nice and very helpful. My refund should be on the way so I revised my rating for now but come on you guys return a customers phone calls its basic customer service.

We were immediately greeted by Elijah as we walked into the store. We were able to choose two beds with mattresses and boxsprings within a short amount of time. Elijah was friendly and helpful, but he was not pushy.. The selection was very good. Of course, due to the recent shortages in the supply chain, we will have a short wait for delivery (for one footboard.) No worries! Looking forward to the delivery.

Upon entering the store, one sales woman was towards the back of the store, saw us, went the other direction. We went towards the right, in search of a king sized mattress, which to our disappointment, they do not even sell. Perhaps we could have researched that ahead of time, but given it is a furniture store, we thought we would give it a go. Anyways, up ahead on the right, an older saleswoman sat at a desk, saw us, made eye contact, quickly looked away. A third saleswoman walks up to her, the two exchange cold words, so cold I believe I could have felt a shiver, and the third woman briskly walks away. Neither spoke to us or bothered to even say hello. We proceeded on around the showroom, about that time realizing that they only had frames for sale seemingly, and when we looped back around to the middle section, the first girl we'd seen was sitting at a table near the front and said a sluggish goodbye. Perhaps something terrible happened during our visit or maybe it was just the nature of the store. Perhaps just the sour, cold exchange between the second and third woman was the reason for not even being spoken to. Whatever the case, I'd never want to visit that store again. It makes me question the value of customer interaction with all Ashley furniture stores. Perhaps had we discussed anything with them, they may have still been able to offer a frame or something. It's disappointing salesmanship, for sure.

We went to Ashley’s Furniture looking for a king size bedroom suit and was greeted by Sean Becia. He went above and beyond to help us find a suit we liked and to help us know what mattress set we would need. After using the new technology they have for locating pressure points and finding your specified mattress firmness, we were able to narrow down which mattress works for both of us. We will be back to visit this location for future furniture purchases and will be using this location if friends and family need a recommendation.

My husband and I have been wanting a certain couch from AshleyHomeStore in Kingsport TN for a whole year now. We first visited the store when we moved here from SC and we both fell in love with this specific off-white sectional as we sank into what we called our “dream couch” Being new to the area and renting we didn’t have the space in our townhome with two children and a dog so we decided to wait and keep the couches that were given to us from family. Now one year later, we just purchased our first home! I went back today to Ashley’s in hopes to still find the same couch. Sean greeted me at the door. He was very pleasant and professional and went over every detail and question that I had. He helped me set up the 36 month interest free program and I was very pleased with his service and help. This is the Kingsport TN. Store. The service was excellent. I had a picky request for the type of sofa I was looking for and Gina took the time to go through the inventory and basically checked almost every sofa in the store till she found the one that met my needs. After all that I decided to do some comparative shopping but after a few days I wound up right back at Ashley. Gina remembered me and the sofa I wanted and set me up with everything I needed. I also have to mention the little extras. Gina was supposed to take that afternoon off but she took her time with me and it wasn't a rushed issue. I know what your thinking, commission, right? Well the sofa I purchased was no where near one of the expensive ones. She still treated me like it was a huge purchase. That's professionalism. I like all the little extras you get also with your purchase. So if you are looking for some new furniture this is your stop. The store has freaking everything you could possibly want to furnish your home with plus it's Ashley, great quality furnishings at a great price. I hit their Memorial Day sale and I'm telling you the price could not have been better.

I had never shopped at Ashley Furniture Store before, but came across an add on Facebook Marketpace and realized they have a great Memorial Day Sale. We went to the store to see the sale in person. As soon as we went in, we noticed Rich and he was hustling lol. He was very friendly and easy to talk to. He was really helpful but not pushy at all. I’m picky lol and it was a big decision, so my husband and I took a long time to finalize our selection and went back a couple of times, but Rich was very understanding. I went and got couch with this company two months ago and I am still waiting on it two of the pieces, so I have a partial couch. If I'm spending thousands of dollars on something I shouldn't have to wait months for it. Also I was told that once the sale is made I should be hearing from the salesman once a week with updates on the process. I only hear from him when I call to inquire about it and most of the time it's not him that I speak with

The pressure point analysis was a really neat feature that helped point us in the right direction with choosing which mattress would better fit our needs. The numbering system on each bed (1 for most plush and up to 10 for firm) made it very easy to narrow down which ones we needed to try. Brittney was extremely helpful and informative and made the process very easy from start to finish. She was so friendly, she made us feel right at home! I purchased 2 vanities a week ago at the Eastman road location, we had to go pick them up in Gray . One vanity is damaged & now no one wants to help so I’m currystucj with a $400 vanity that’s damaged . I went to store this evening. One person working the entire store & she proceeded to chit chat on the phone, ignored me & proceeded to be no help! DO NOT PURCHASE HERE!

I was very disappointed in our service. We went in to purchase furniture that she had shown us when we were in before. She tried to convince us we had looked at a cheaper set. I had photos of the furniture and showed her what we wanted. She finally found it. She had promised us a good discount. On approximately 6,000 dollars she took off a total of about 100 dollars. Not much of a discount. I felt as if she had lied to me. I will never do business with her again.
I am not happy at all I waited for 2 months and never heard anything from them and never got my furniture. I called to just cancel it after i had already paid for it and they told me that they take 25percent for a restocking fee so what I got never left there building and they are making 300.00 to restock it. How's that? I paid for this with cash and can't get my money back for 2 weeks, which it's been 2 weeks and still haven't received my money back yet. I'm not happy and will not be back. I just want my money back and someone to explain why i have to be punished for wanting my money back. Why is there a restocking fee when it never left your warehouse. They never contacted me for 2 months I waited for what i purchased and now I'm waiting for my money. Hopefully I won't have to wait for months to receive it.

If I could give this store a ZERO I would. Do not buy from this company! Winston the manager is a disgusting person who says he doesn’t have anyone above him. We try to cancel a sale and he tells us that we have to pay 25% restock fee when we didn’t even sign the papers and why didn’t we... they wanted us out at closing time, we were never explained the terms therefore how can you enforce some that says we have your signature agreeing when you do not! I could say a lot more but after putting this on Facebook I have learned I am not the only one who has had issues with this store. SO BUYER BEWARE!!!!

We told them today we wanted a shelf and we were going to get the money and would be back. They said they would put a sold sign on it so no one would mess with it. When we got back they had sold it. They will not stand by there word and you cant believe what they say. I was ordering a bed too and I told them to forget it.

Just spent 45 minutes in what is supposed to be a "store". I am looking to furnish a new house. My husband and I spent ten minutes on one couch testing the zero gravity and massage. I would have loved to have known if it came in an alternative color, etc. We saw eight people who were "working". Two were on a cell phone. One was at a desk and one was helping the other two people who were in the store. As we exited, one girl said the first word to us, "have a good night". Needless to say, we left to go to one of the other stores in the area looking for some customer service. If I wanted to have no contact, I would simply buy online! Poor service! Will not return to this store.

We have bought a ton of furniture this year for our new home. I went to many places between KY, TN, and VA. The last place I visited before buying anything was Ashley in Kingsport. My salesman, Rich, greeted my wife and I at the door as they always do, and the headache and stress of “what to buy” went down from there. Rich wasn’t one of those salesmen hovering over us and following us all over the store, which I despise that type of salesperson, but he occasionally came and found us and offered us something to drink and to answer any questions we might have. He was completely professional and likable all while actually being a pretty funny guy! We picked out all our pieces with ease, he went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with our purchases and understood all aspects of warranty’s, delivery, and pricing. At this point, our salesperson was just a really good salesperson who you could tell really cared about earning your business and ensuring you left a satisfied customer. Skip forward a month or so to our delivery... we had some issues with our furniture that was absolutely no fault of the store or the salesman. In resolving these issues, Rich completely switched into super salesman mode, even though he already made the sale and anything he did for me from that point on was just out of courtesy and not financial gain. He could have easily passed me on to other people or departments like most salespeople do. But not Rich! Rich spent a crazy amount of time on the phone with me, as well as his channels, to completely remedy any issues I had. At one point, he even made the trip to my house an hour and half away in another state just to help resolve an issue. Again, i realize these things happen and I’m not at all placing blame on anyone, the store, or the brand, but Rich was phenomenal! If I were in a position to need a salesperson, I’d do all I could to steal him and have him work for me! I also need to mention Winston at this store. He too was completely helpful and between the two of them, not only were my issues completely resolved 100%, but they also did even more for me to show me that I, as a customer, really did matter to them and I wasn’t just a checkbook walking in the door. I humbly say “Thank you”, to you guys and for how you treated me and took care of me! I know most people who are relying on reviews only want to look at the bad, and thats all they go to in their research, not the good reviews, but if you do happen to read this before making a decision, then let me tell you, you won’t be disappointed!

I went to Ashley Furniture Store in Kingsport, TN this afternoon in search of a small desk. Lance greeted me at the door and showed me several desks available in the store. As we narrowed down what I was looking for, Lance took me to their kiosk and showed me different desks that he could order for me. We found several that fit the style and dimensions I was interested in. While I didn’t walk out with a desk purchased today, Lance set me on the right path. He was so helpful and patient!

Went to Ashley for a mattress/box spring set. Told Rob what I wanted, how much I was able to spend. He spent the time to go thru a few options, didn’t try to sell me something I couldn’t afford ( which I got at other stores!) , had the mattress in stock ( unlike other chain stores that sold ONLY mattresses, 2-3 week lead time!) highly recommend Rob to take care of you. The actual purchasing of the set was less stressful than just shopping for them at other places!

**Edit; I purchased my sectional on 10/14/20, and I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. I did expect some delays, but now I'm becoming a little bit frustrated with the delivery process. I feel like the $150 some dollar delivery fee should be waived as a courtesy at this point...whenever I finally de get my sofa.....Here is my original post; I was very pleased with my experience from start, to finish! My sales rep, Gina, was very sweet and attentive to my needs. The couch I was looking for was unavailable, but she found similar items in the same price range and style. Throughout, Gina, made us feel very comfortable and was never over-bearing and "salesy". I hate to walk into a store and the "commission hungry" associates attack, trying to make any kind of sale . The atmosphere was relaxed, and the prices were considerably less than Grands'. I would highly recommend anyone looking to buy to visit Gina at Ashley!!

I order a sectional couch about mid August. The salesman said it would most likely be 10-14 days after he ordered to get a delivery date, unless it wasn’t in stock, then it would be longer... but promised to call and let me know either way. He never called. I waited 3 weeks before calling myself, to find out that the couch wasn’t in the warehouse and it had to be ordered from 3 separate locations and the latest arrival for one piece was mid October (COVID-19 related delays). So I wait till the end of September to call again and they tell me the last piece came in damaged and they had to reorder. Ok. I understand. Things happen.. And once again, I was told they would call when it arrived. They didn’t. I called a few days after Halloween and they said that the correct piece arrived and the delivery people would call to schedule a delivery time and date. Woah... I was shocked to hear the phone call come in. They actually called me! We scheduled it and they arrived on time and we’re very friendly. However, the couch they picked up and delivered was incorrect. It’s backwards from the way I told the salesman I needed it to be on order to fit the room correctly. He said it wasn’t a problem to begin with, but then ordered it wrong. The delivery guys said they could leave the couch so I’d have something to sit on until the correct couch came in and to call the store and let them know it was wrong. I called and spoke to a woman who said my salesman was with another customer and she would have him call back. I let her know my name, the number to reach me at and that the couch arrived all wrong. That night I had to rearrange my entire living room just so this couch wouldn’t be sitting in the middle of the walkways. And guess what... my salesman again did not call. I called him the next day and he said he ordered it right and the delivery guys picked it wrong, but he would have it fixed right away, and he swore he tried to call, but the lady who took the message, wrote my number down wrong (blah blah blah)... and he said he’s call me and let me know. Guess what.. no call. I figured it had to be ordered again... so I wait a week or so. Still no call. At this point I am so mad that I have been so patient and waiting for him to get it right or call me and let me know something, that this time I called the store and told them I wanted to cancel my order and to have my salesman call me back. Guess what... no call again! I am beyond furious with this level of customer satisfaction... it’s just not there. This time I go back to the store where I bought it. Face to face with my salesman, telling him I want to cancel for all the incredible inconvenience. And he says I can’t cancel my order because there’s a restocking fee. I told him I’d pay and have them remove the couch from my home. He then says that they can’t take back the couch because of COVID-19 and it’s already in my home and they would have to destroy it... etc. WHAT? Even though it’s not the right couch? He says yes... even though it’s wrong I cannot cancel or return it. What??? Let me tell you also that this couch is the most uncomfortable couch I’ve ever sat on, and it falls apart ALL THE TIME!! My salesman says that he can send a message to his “higher up” manager to make a deal to exchange the couch for something else and we would have to pay the restocking fee anyways. WHAT??? But he’ll call me and let me know. I am so dumbfounded at this point I leave. He actually calls me the next day and says I can pay to restocking fee and pick a different couch as if he’s doing me some kind of favor.... so I ask him where my correct couch is? He says I don’t know, I’ll have to check cause I thought you were changing your mind... I reminded him it’s been weeks at this point since to reorder was supposed to have been done. He said he would call. Guess what... I have left two more messages for him at least once a week and still no call. It’s now almost December, I still have the wrong couch and I’ve gotten most of it paid for already. If I could leave zero stars, I would.
Lance was super helpful and he’s definitely the guy to go to if you’re looking to purchase a mattress. He’s really funny and makes you feel comfortable. Answered all my questions and I left feeling great about my purchase. I am completely satisfied with my new Tempur-pedic mattress and the whole process from store to delivery. They really know their stuff and make you feel like family. Really impressed with the professionalism and how friendly the staff were.

We bought a couch beginning of oct. We were told it would be here oct 9. Keep in mind we have been looking at this couch and have checked inventory two or three times over the past couple weeks. So when she said the ninth we ask her how confident she was and she said pretty confident. So when that day comes we are told they are waiting on one piece of it. iMessage back last week to hear nothing. So today I call to get a refund and I’m told my sales person has to process that. I was told they are off today and tomorrow. So I asked for a store manager. I was told there wasn’t one there today. So then I asked who was in charge?. A young lady by the name of Hannah answers the phone and immediately is rude. I asked for a corporate number and she says that they are just going to tell me the same thing. She didn’t offered to try to help in anyway just immediately got rude. I would shy away of this place.

Went into Ashley’s looking for a sectional. It had to be an EXACT measurement too. Mark, the gentleman who helped us. Went above and beyond for us. He pulled out a measuring tape. And piece by piece measured everything. Every single piece. Looked up every arm option, chase option, ottoman etc. Until he built a sectional with our exact measurements. It was nothing shy of awesome. So when we decided to shop for our next piece we went right back to Mark. He didn’t let us down!! Again he went above and beyond. The showroom floor can feel a bit overwhelming, but pleasing at the same time. The salesman was professional and not pushy. The furniture was all wonderful and if good quality. The only downside was the wait for the furniture. It took over a month before it was delivered to the distribution center and it was only the first 2 pieces. The third piece did not arrive for another 2 weeks after. The furniture, overall, is of excellent quality and for context, the COVID virus was effecting every aspect of businesses; but it was still an excessive wait. I would recommend Ashley furniture store to anyone looking.

I found out that salesperson, Callie, from the Bristol store, is working at this store, and if I buy my new furniture, it will be from her. She is so friendly and she knows a lot.
Stopped in to look at recliners and was greeted by Curtis Leavitt. He was extremely friendly and pointed us in the direction we needed. After hearing that I slept in my recliner due to back pain, he took us over and used their pressure point simulation tool to help find the best type of mattress to relieve my pain. We left with a new Tempur-Pedic set along with the recliners. We truly appreciate his professionalism and his approach at sales, no pressure no badgering.

After making several calls only to be given one phone after another, I was finally able to speak with sales rep named Curtis at the Kingsport location. Curtis was the most helpful person I had spoke to in all of the phone calls. I was attempting to place an order online and was unable to due to a reoccurring error. I spoke with Curtis and he was able to do an over the phone order I made the payment and that was it. Simple as can be which was nice after getting the run-around earlier. I plan on bigger purchases as soon as my house is built and will definitely be dealing with Curtis.

I entered looking for a particular small sofa; however, after taking to Gina Hite and being shown what was available I realized that I would not find the type I desired. Gina asked if there was anything else she could help me find and I remembered I needed a new rug. She was more than helpful in helping me find the perfect rug. Of course, it had to be ordered and she offered to pick it up for me when it came in and have it at the store when I returned the following week. This saved me a trip to Gray, TN and for that I am extremely grateful. I was in Kingsport for eye surgery two consecutive weeks. Gina made by buying experience very pleasant and I will return for future needs.

This is my previous review from 3 years ago… terrible we walked around for 30 mins and no one offered assistance. If they were busy I could see have to wait our turn. However everyone we saw was just sitting at their desk. Guess another furniture store will take our 3k for a bed.. — I know it sounded hard but it was the truth. We decided to give it another chance and boy what a turn around Ken was completely awesome. He did not suffocate us and answered all of our questions. The entire shopping experience was a blast because he is super relatable and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back once we close for our purchase. Thanks again Ken!!!!

Very bad customer service. Was sold a couch which was promised to be in a warehouse. Turned out to have been sold to someone else as well. Took over 1 month to get a refund. Management was not very considerate and timely as if my refund wasn’t a priority. Even tried to charge me a fee for THEIR mistake. Sadly a nice company that is ran by a very unprofessional team at this location. Hopefully this warning will save you some trouble. Do not purchase from this location.
I recently stopped by Ashley's furniture store in Kingsport TN. I was greeted and assisted by Christy White. Christy made my visit wonderful! She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I was testing out mattresses and looking at bedroom sets. She helped to explain all the different types of mattresses and how they all differed from one another. I would like to edit my review. The gentleman who helped me the first time I was here, Winston, was absolutely wonderful. I needed time to think about my purchase, so my husband and I went to do some shopping. When we returned, Winston had gone home so we had to go through Mark. He was very pushy that I leave a review, mentioning it every two seconds as we walked to load my car. He said for me to leave 5 stars. I understand it is his mamagement pushing for reviews. I just wish we could have returned early enough to go through Winston. I would have left 5 stars.

Worst communication between store and delivery.
I was just talked to rudely! The salesperson said the sale was final when in fact I never signed anything!! I never received any of the paperwork in my email to sign that the other salesperson said needed to be signed in order to complete the transaction. I called to make sure this was completely canceled and he said this was a final sale! He said I will cancel it and I asked for an email or receipt!! They made the sale without my consent. Now they will not answer the phone. I am very upset.

A couple of weeks ago My wife had an out of town DR appt there in Kingsport. There after, I saw Ashley Homestore sign/store, and had no plans at all to go anywhere else that day. I told my wife I was going over there for us to browse. My wife had talked about us getting some new living room furniture in the near future. After browsing inside a little while, a young lady approached us offering assistance, her name is Cassi Taylor. She asked us what we were interested in, and we told her. We looked at a few different sectionals, and we didnt seem to hone in on what was the right fit. Cassi was very attentive to or needs and made valid suggestions. I must say that for Cassi, the young lady she is, was very patient and respectful. We were there about one and a half hours with her, and we had Cassi's undivided attention. We did make a purchase that day, a special order. I would highly recommend Cassi Taylor to anyone!

I was told I would receive my furniture within 2 weeks. I was charged $100 for my delivery. They received it in their warehouse on Monday. Its Friday and no one answers the phone nor have the returned my call after I left a message. I have purchased from Ashley furniture several times over the past years. No one in your store cares about my frustration and expectations. All they wanted to do was to make a sale. By the time they deliver the furniture at this point, it will be a month since I received what I paid cash for.

DO NOT BUY YOUR FURNITURE HERE. So the furniture is okay and they treat you nicely in the store but that's about all the good stuff. Here are all the problems. Your furniture takes forever to be delivered. My first order took 6 weeks to be delivered and that was with everything going right, no custom furniture either. And I had to call the warehouse multiple times before someone picked up the phone to set up delivery. On my second order I called after 4 weeks because I hadn't heard anything only to find out some of my order was missing which they never called me about. After a few days of calls I found out one of my items was marked as delivered even though I never got it. I still haven't recieved my furniture and it will be a few more weeks til I get it so about two months for just a nightstand and dresser. And nobody has done anything to try and compensate for the mistake. DO NOT BUY YOUR FURNITURE HERE!!!!!

Absolutely the worst experience buying ANYTHING, let alone furniture. Delivery was expected at 3-5 weeks. Couch was delivered at nearly 7 weeks after husband called and demanded receiving the identical item that the warehouse had in store for another customer that ordered it several weeks after. We also received a bill with a purchase price $400 higher than expected and it took several phone calls to get this corrected. Lease purchasing was not explained at all. In fact, salesperson all but flat out lied to our face stating the terms. We initialed and signed documents and did not receive copies until the item was delivered, and the terms were not the same as what we were explained in the store. Since this process started, I have spoken to several people who have had similar horrific experiences with this company. I'm unclear on whether or not this is just a problem with the Kingsport store, but I cannot warn you enough to run as fast as you can to another retailer. We have had good experiences with both Grand and Factory Direct. This has definitely been a lesson learned. Never again will I do business with them or recommend anyone else to do so. I also never write reviews for anything, even though I have had several negative experiences with other companies. You can bet this was worth coming on here and giving my two cents. Do not waste your time or money with these people. Absolutely horrible customer service in every aspect of the term!

A VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!!!! I am giving 1 star but if possible I would give the Kingsport Ashley Furniture a minus 50. This is the worse retail store that my husband and I have ever came across. We went online to buy a mattress and we couldn't get the purchase to go through so my husband called the store in Kingsport and the girl helped him make the purchase on the phone. Come to find out, after waiting a week, they didn't have the mattress in stock. Two sales people in the store helped us find a compatible mattress but it was either wait another week or go to Gray to pick it up. Plus we had to pay an additional $32 on top of the $219 we had already paid.We had a very bad experience and we made 2 purchases in one, the first and last !!!!!!

I want to thank Rich at Ashley's store in Kingsport for all his hard work exceptional customer service he gave us with an issue we had & resolved. Highly recommend Rich for any home furnishing you need.
Awful experience. Purchased a love seat and a couch on Jan. 5. Delivery was scheduled for 3-5 weeks later. 6 weeks went by and we heard nothing from the company. I called and ask for an update. They told me the wrong furniture was delivered to their warehouse and it would be another 3 weeks for delivery. No one bothered to inform us of the companies mistake. The store said they would call back once they got an update - never heard back. We called and emailed and no response. Finally 4 weeks later we got a call saying couches were in and they would deliver the following week. The Johnson City store called to schedule the delivery and they were very hateful when I asked about a delivery window. Don’t bother ordering from here unless you’re fine with waiting 2 and a 1/2 months for your furniture. Sales associates were super friendly and helpful when looking in the store - once they get your money, good luck getting any help.
Our experience with Ashley in Kingsport has been horrible. In December 2018, we purchased (2) love seats, (2) queen mattress sets and (1) king size mattress set. One recliner in one of the love seats has broken and one of the queen mattresses was received, damaged (sliced from what appears to be a knife or box cutter). Rich, our sales person lied and told us he would send a technician to repair the love seat and would order a replacement queen mattress if we sent him pictures of the cut, which we did. A month later, no word from Rich and no attempt from Customer Care to return our calls to them. Please check complaints on Better Business Bureau before you buy from them. I wish I had.

I buy bed room set from Ashley on 11/19/18 & sale rep say delivery in 2 to 3 week .after 3 week I go there now he say see your paper is say 4 to 5 week, after 5 week he say we sell item & collect money only, I don't control delivery date u have to that delivery co ,I visit store on 1/28/19 again still he say may be this week so don't believe sales rep read paper and don't pay full money, up front
Absolutely AWFUL!!!!! I have never had such a terrible retail experience. I went in to purchase a mattress due to the fact I was moving and needed a bad to sleep on. The sales lady did great pitching me on the matress and after I had purchased it I asked when I could pick it up. She then let me know it would be 2 weeks before it was delivered to my house they didn't have it there or at their JC store. Another salesman hearing my conversation says, Oh, we have one of these in the back for $100 more, my thinking I need a bed to sleep said sure, why not. I return to the store to pick up my matress that was in stock and the manager comes dragging the display matress across the floor for me, no plastic, no tags, No nothing, I was outraged at this point because of the awful experience thusfar. Winston, the manager proceeds to tell me that, "It had just been put out on the sales floor that morning and he saw no difference in whether it had plastic or not." He proceeded to have HORRIBLE customer service skills while telling me it was a, "ridiculous reason to be mad over because it was a display mattress I was getting." I am paying hard earned money for something, I want what I paid for. He told me he would knock $50 off of my bill which NEVER happened and I had to call the store to see when I needed to pay the rest of my bill, because the bill never came, still haven't seen it. Overall it was a HORRIBLE experience which is sad because their furniture is so cute. I strongly recommend staying far away from Ashley Furniture.
My husband & I just bought our first home! We've been shopping around for a bed, dresser & mirror. First, let me share our experience! We started in our hometown of Wise County, VA.... Our ONLY option is GRAND Furniture, where we have bought our mattresses, kitchen table & 8 chairs & oneof our couches (all in the last 2 yrs) well the experience we had at Ashley out shines all the times we've been into Grand. Last week we went to Grand to look for our new bedroom & the selection was NOTHING like Ashley....and also the prices are much much much higher than Ashley prices!! Ok let me get back on track! We walked in and a salesman approached us right off, usually I don't like that.... but Doug, was very personable. We told him what style we had in mind.... he led us around showed us what we wanted to see. Once my husband & I had it narrowed down to 2... mind u just the bed, dresser & mirror was all we wanted to purchase, Doug stepped away and gave us time to discuss without a "stranger" standing, listening to us.Doug gave some great advice and gave us a deal we couldn't pass up!!! We ended up purchasing bed, dresser, mirror, chest & 2 night stands at a very discounted price. We purchased an investment piece. So excited to get our new bedroom!!! Thank you Doug, we'll definitely be asking for you again!! UPDATE::: NEVER GOT OUR FURNITURE! HAD TO GET A REFUND.
My second time making a major purchase here. The staff was great and very knowledgeable Cassi was my sales associate, she knew the product and answered all my questions, She was great to work with!
I went in the store with no intentions on buying anything, but that was before I met Rich R. He was the most helpful, professional, almost mind reading salesman I have ever met. He knew the ins and outs of seemingly all the inventory and had sold me a King size mattress for my daughter and myself before I knew what hit me. The furniture in the store is 1st rate, just like the staff. I will be back for all my furniture needs. It's a good thing Rich wasn't selling cars that day or I'd be riding around in a new Corvette or something. He is management material and those kind of salesmen don't come around very often. I love my Temperpidic mattress and have slept better than I ever thought possible.
