Poor quality products and abysmal customer service at their corporate office. Buyer beware, take your business elsewhere. Received a broken recliner as a Christmas gift and because it was delivered before Christmas and not identified as broken until past their 72 hour return policy we are stuck without the ability to return it and get a refund.

Purchased 2 recliners in November. Was lead to believe they were only available as power recliners. We purchased anyway, We were even offered the option to purchase the batteries in case we didn’t have outlets available. We declined the batteries. Fast forward to delivery day and the recliners we received were in fact manual recliners. We were told by the delivery company we would need to contact the store because we purchased the manual chairs. We looked online and saw that the manual recliners were on sale for $100 less each. We went to the Mt Juliet store the same day and confirmed that is what was ordered and we could get a refund for the sale price difference since it was within the price match time frame. We were also told that we made the choice for the manual chairs even though both of us remember that wasn’t even an option because we remember having the discussion that we didn’t want power chairs and those were not available in manual. “We must have misunderstood” are the exact words from the salesperson. Why would we be offered the batteries on manual chairs??? We were told we would have to wait for the delivery department to complete the delivery transaction before we could file for refund on the difference in sale price. We called back a few days later to do this and were told it couldn’t be done at the store level. We were given a number to call. We called and after weeks of calling and getting excuses and the run around we were told we could not get a refund for the difference in sale price. Now we are out the extra $200 we paid. 1. The store should have handled this refund and done all the leg work instead of having us call every customer service number they had. 2. Maybe we should have refused the chairs and reordered the SAME chairs to be delivered at the sales price. 3. Maybe we should have refused the chairs and gone to a different company for our purchase.

Derek (and the comfy furniture) made us feel right at home!!! Derek even went above and beyond to give us two great options, no pressure, we ended up with exactly what we wanted, 5 year replacement warranty and delivery for only $400 AND 0% no money down for 6 months. We were going to go to two other stores, but this was such a good deal, we didn’t need to!!! GO SEE DEREK AT ASHLEY!!!
