Ashley Store Brownsville, TX

I received a badly damaged bed frame and asked for it to be replaced. I got about 10 messages through a course of 3 weeks claiming that my order would be arriving to please be home and ready, it never arrived it kept being rescheduled.I called customer service for a refund a nice agent spoke to me and convinced me to wait one more week I did and it finally arrived. However, it arrived with a cracked corner. It’s not too noticeable so I just kept it, but I will definitely not be buying at Ashley’s again.

Margarita did a fantastic job answering all of my questions and made it easy to purchase a sofa.

I was expecting a traditional mattress. One that will hold and be a long-term mattress. The one that I got was folded up in a box and from googling it I found out it was a foam mattress. My plan is to return it as soon as possible. I just cannot compromise quality when it comes to sleep. I was naive when I saw the picture of the mattress. I was shocked when I saw I came in a box.

The sales team (Jaime Alvarez) was very polite, friendly, took time to explain everything and very knowledgeable.

It's been another week and I still don't have my sectional sofa....customer service has been insanely unhelpful and continues to guarantee me days to no avail. I keep getting "I promise you it will be delivered this day, yes sir we guarantee blah blah and nothing. Now this young lady told me it was back ordered but the store it's Available but the truck is just to full to bring it down from San Antonio! Who is telling the truth!! If I could give another 1 star I would. This store has been the worst experience of my time. I'm not one to say such things but customer service really shows itself. Today get a text message asking me to select a delivery date if either Saturday or some time next week. Was not even told it would be pushed out, was simply sent a text message. I value strong customer service in any paid in full purchase I make and thus far this experience has been awful. Will not continue my purchase at this location as I have many more to make.

They will run your credit with two different banks and will open Accounts, one of those banks will charge you a monthly service fee for the account and the Associate from the store won't explain anything of this to you. They play with your credit and don't care if you had to pay fees for an account that you don't even request.

My salesman was Mr. Joel Rodriguez. I told him what I was looking for and he showed me all price ranges. He told me the great points of each. No pressure! He listened ,then allowed me to make up my mind. No hurry. He knew the materials also. If you are wanting some new furniture, one chair to a house full, contact him. He's at my Ashley store right here in Brownsville, Texas.

Don’t buy from Ashley in Brownsville . We bought sofas that were supposed to be all leather and wall savers and aren’t .. They lied to us and even said that the protection plan was around 300-400$ and came out to 800$ .. we have done our part in calling to exchange the un used merchandise… Corporate office is horrible for hey won’t ven help the situation .. We have kindly asked for an exchange and no one has reached out to help… Unfair to customer !! Absolutely no good of customer satisfaction!!!

This Review has nothing to do with your Sales Person as she was polite and kept composure through the situation that merits this review. Now your Internet or software, My GOODNESS, needs updating! It shouldn't take an hour to process a single purchase. To top it off not even the printer was working. The same thing happened when we attempted to purchase a dining room set somewhere between 2020 and 2021. Software and Internet issues and after months in delay ultimately decided to cancel it all. We love your furniture, the sales and beautiful displays but there should be a warning sign somewhere of how long it will ultimately take. This time around it wasn't even a big sale and our credit had to be reopened since we weren't advised that our line of credit had been closed. So imagine also having to affect rerunning our credit. We even offered to pay with other means just to speed up the process, we shouldn't have had to offer. So please help this location out and improve or look into your internet and/or software and help your employees out.

Ashley was extremely helpful and very patient with me.

For the most part service was good except we ordered three pieces of furniture and canceled one and we had to do it twice before they actually canceled that order. Delivery was fantastic. They kept you informed of where they were and when they arrived..

Corporate office is horrible … I will file a complaint . Management ( Allya) is avoiding my phone call and this is second time I call . I’m unsatisfied with product … I called right away to resolve the issue and was told that as long as it’s within 72 hr window which I did but they won’t try to help … I left my number and hoping management will rerun my call .Also we were told that recliners sofas were wall savers and they are not .. we had issues trying to resolve this issue in exchanging the sofas . We were not old about any of this .. The Ashley team has been giving us the run arounds .. think before you buy from Ashley furniture !! The owner send us a phone number that keeps us in the run around loop … it’s a shame that we bought here from Brownsville …

Terrible experience, prices changed every visit I made. Charged delivery then still had to go pick up. Told false estimates on when furniture would arrive. Picked up items just for them to be incorrect in size (items they suggested) told NO RETURN POLICY on incorrect items. For the prices they charge this should not be a place to consider (Brownsville location at least)

This review serves as a warning about the customer service and practices at the Ashley Furniture store in Brownsville. A brand-new couch was purchased, costing approximately $3,000. Instead, a used or returned piece of furniture was delivered. The couch was damaged, and not the new item purchased. The delivery team refused to take the couch back, directing us to contact the store. Over a month and a half of issues and no resolution followed. Multiple calls and visits resulted in conflicting information, apologies, and no action. Thousands of dollars were spent, and we still have a used, damaged couch. The store has shown a complete lack of accountability and has made no effort to resolve the issue. The customer service is inadequate. Avoid this store. The promise of a quality product is worthless when after-sales support is this incompetent.

Never again dealing with them in person. Save time and order online. You get better deals and faster shipping. We waited almost 3 weeks for our sofa, had to constantly reach out to ask about the order. They tell you something and at the end change the whole story, I get it they're trying to make the sale... Long story short we were promised that the installation was included with the purchase, which at the day of delivery they said it wasn't. We tried cancelling the order and order it online somewhere else instead and they refused and said give it another week. And please if you do end up purchasing in-store be very specific on how fast you need it or the date they promise to deliver because they will tell you. "I thought you weren't in a rush". Oh, and the delivery guys broke our entrance light cover trying to fit it through the door...

Yesterday, Nathan (my partner) and I went into Ashley Home Furniture in Brownsville TX to purchase a new bed. The salesman, Jaimie, did an amazing job helping us settle on our second choice in beds (our first was sold out and would've taken weeks to get here); he really did a great job. Unfortunately, Jaimie is the only person in the entire company who seems to be capable of doing a great job. We opted to go pick our new bed up in Harlingen to avoid a two week turn around on delivery and when we got the package (that we rented a truck to pick up) home, it was missing over 50% of the parts. This wouldn't be a huge problem, except when we tried to call the warehouse nobody would answer the phone. So we hopped in the car to head back for our missing parts and managed to get ahold of the warehouse after about 5 connecting steps were taken. The woman at the warehouse was rude and unhelpful stating that the shop guys were gone for the day, over an hour before the business closed, so she couldn't access our missing parts. We were then forced to call the corporate claims line and speak with a woman who refused to let us be transferred to any other departments and claimed there were no members of the escalation team, or any other department company wide in office today. Actually, all this woman did was tell us to speak to an AI on their corporate website and wait 2-3 business days to hear back, which left us with just as long a wait to have a bed as what we paid uhaul rental fees to avoid. Ive spent over a decade in customer service and i can assure you there is never a situation where a problem cannot be escalated. There is never a moment when a large corporate chain doesnt have money to throw at a problem. And there is never a reason for your store to be entirely unreachable over phone. The ball was not dropped today, it was punted. Every person we dealt with throughout this process, aside from Jaimie, gave intentionally bad service. All in all, id just like to recommend that if you can not get same delivery, do not use Ashley Home Furniture stores.

Trying the tempurpedic mattresses in the store is useless. All them feel the same and you will most likely pick something that is no use. In some occasions it seems by the comments on here, some folk get lucky. Enjoy the battle it takes to do your exchange and one more thing, if you choose wrong again, you are screwed. They have a strict no return policy which as usual, cares for nobody but themselves. Never again.

Very disappointed with my experience with Ashley’s furniture. This is my first purchase with Ashley’s, and the couches that were delivered were stained and damage. Unfortunately I was at work when the couches were delivered (they delivered earlier than the time I had agreed to), so someone else needed to be there at that time. Since the furniture was “accepted into the home”, it’s now my problem, and they’re going to use MY warranty to replace the damaged parts that the couch already came with. What a scam. And such a disappointment. First and last purchase with Ashley’s.

We were treated better once they knew we qualified. Of course they wanted to max us out but we said no. Our sales person got upset because we were deciding it was too pricey and even made comments that they had lost their time and potentially a client that would buy. After much deliberating they practically lowered the total cost by almost half - so it can be done just be firm. We complained about the comments made and to compensate they promised us a bedding set. It did not arrive with our order. We let time pass and finally we called and they ‘had to get it approved’. When we finally went to check they just gave us a ‘used’ incomplete bedding set from one of the beds they had on display on the sales floor. Not happy about that. Came hime and noticed it had a yellow stain. Not even bothering going back.

Problem with chairs since day 1 is that they easily unbalance and easily slide this causing a safety issue. The 4 chairs have a different tone and color - seems like not matching either. I have been contacting Ashley Customer Service and have been sent around like a pinball all over the place. All I want to exchange and purchase another set even though it may cost me more. When I call the store number, it says that there is no order associated with my phone number. I am waiting for text response from manager. Will continue to update.

Worst Cutomer Service. I’ve been dealing with customer service for months now. They constantly put me on hold and often promise to call back but never do. I've had a really bad experience with this location. My grandmother went to look at a new living room just to see how much they cost. Her sales person was Joel Rodriguez. My grandmother got home and she told us she bought a new living room set but told us a lot less than what was on her paperwork. After reviewing the paper they gave her it was in English and my grandmother cannot speak English. My grandmother trusted what the sales associate told her it was going to be. The total price was $560 more than what she was told. My grandmother was told the protection was $50 not $250. After reviewing the paperwork with her she decided she did not want the living room set. We called to have it cancelled as policy states at least 48 hours before delivery and spoke to Fernando who assured the order was cancelled. A couple days later, my grandmother was out of town, and Ashley Furniture delivered the furniture that was suppose to be cancelled. The neighbor was unaware of the situation of the furniture order being cancelled and signed on behalf of my grandmother. Ashley furniture's policy says once its delivered all sales are final so they intentionally did not cancel the order so they would not loose out on a sale. If I could rate this 0 stars I would!

My experience was absolutely wonderful Paola was very detail oriented and did not skip a beat!!! Super pleasant and a excellent positive attitude.

The salesman indicated that my COMPLETE order would be delivered at the end of the week; even made me initial this on my paperwork I guess as some form of agreement.. Corporate had other ideas. So you need answers? Well, you can’t call the store; you are trapped in an automated hell. I had to go back to the store to pick up my paperwork and find out why my order was coming incomplete. At the end, I got a “ we’re very sorry but there’s nothing we can do.” How about train your people better so the don’t make promises they can’t keep? Or how about adhering to the hours listed on the web for customer support? Disappointing to say the least. Let’s see how my order comes in.

Our in store experience took more time than expected, but the associate worked to make sure we chose a furniture delivery date that not only worked for us, but ensured all our furniture would arrive together. Since our purchase, only a portion of our order had arrived and Ashley Furniture has rescheduled our furniture delivery FIVE times over the course of 2 months. Their automated systems and customer service associates have been no help in trying to ensure our items were confirmed for delivery, nor trying to expedite the process to make up for their lack of professionalism. We are completely dissatisfied with their services and completely disappointed by their lack of help and little commitment to ensure customer satisfaction. We will not be purchasing from them again.

Employees are very helpful and help you find what you need. However, I’ve been very disappointed with the delivery process of my order. I spent over $8k and am going on 2 weeks with delays of my orders and yet they can’t call me and tell me it’ll be delayed. They first told me I was going to get my couch on the Sat Sept 7. The day comes around and I wait and nothing is delivered yet they sent a confirmation of delivery. I called and they gave me the run around and moving my delivery to tomorrow Sept 14th. And now they tell me they won’t be able to delivery it until the 17th and then I call and they pushed me to the 19th and could possible last longer!!!! Pretty frustrated with their delivery. We sold our couches immediately because we thought we would have our new couch in a week and now we’re going in our 3rd week without couches.

Buyer Beware - All Sales are Final. We found a sofa and loveseat that we thought would work in our house. Sales person was very friendly, helpful and not pushy. Store manager said he would honor sale piece even though sale had ended. We went home, measured and placed the order electronically. It wasn’t mentioned that ALL SALES ARE FINAL during our discussions. Yes it was listed in page 3 of the sales order, but other name brand furniture stores we’ve purchased from all offered options if the furniture didn’t work out. We hate our new purchase but are now stuck with it. Lesson learned - read all the pages in the sales order, and understand the return policy before purchasing. No more Ashley Furniture purchases for us.

I called ahead to explore finance options, agent Fernando was very helpful and knowledgeable I was able to apply on my phone before walking into store. Agent made sure Labor Day weekend discounts were applied knocking down a good sum off my balance, I was very pleased with the discount. Overall experience was quick easy and staff are very helpful.

I bought a bedroom set from Ashley Furniture Brownsville in February and received it in April. In May, I found dust and a beetle in the dresser. I contacted Ashley, and they told me to file a complaint online and call pest control. The pest control report showed Powderpost beetles in the dresser. Ashley requested more photos and offered to replace the dresser. However, I am concerned about the potential infestation of my home and requested a letter of responsibility from Ashley. They stopped responding to my inquiries, so I filed a complaint with the BBB. Ashley contacted me last week, but their customer service was unhelpful. They offered to refund the shipping cost and send a new dresser without my permission. Today, a Spanish-speaking representative called me with the same offer. They cannot solve my inquiries and only offered to replace the dresser. I feel very disappointed at this time about my home. I feel Ashley damage my Trust.

If I could leave zero starz I would this place conned me out of a mattress you can’t trust anything they say I have to pay for a mattress that I didn’t even order they sent me the updated version 3 weeks later and it was not the same the sales manager (Jaime Alvarez ) who sold me the mattress assured me if the mattress was not to my liking they would get me the original I asked for the original mattress they don’t have them anymore they couldn’t give me the mattress I ordered I’ve gone on three separate occasions to speak to a supervisor apparently they work unsupervised no one to keep them In line I asked them who ran the store they said she (Analisa) is never here they don’t have a schedule for her she comes and goes when she wants I left her a message it’s been a week and still no call So now the solution team says I’m stuck with the mattress and have to pay for it.

My husband Armando Rocha and I have had an awful experience with Ashley Furniture. First of all the delivery men placed our furniture on the street, therefore it got dirty. Imagine paying thousands for new furniture that’s dirty. They promised to make notes and they took pictures and assured us that they would send a tech to come clean furniture. No one came . My husband went to the store and made an appointment for cleaning . They promised the tech would be at our home last Thursday. No one came . Its now 3 weeks with dirty furniture . We call the store and we get placed on hold for hours . No one answers . I do not recommend anyone do business with this furniture store . They do not keep their word, and they have delivery workers that don’t care about the products that they are delivering. The salesmen just care about making a sale . They do not care about the customer or customer service.

My experience with Ashley's has been disappointing due to poor training of their employees. This issue is not just with the store or the employee, but with Ashley's as a whole. They recorded the wrong address despite us providing the correct one, and now I have to drive 30 minutes to fix it because they won't resolve it over the phone. This mistake has cost me time and fuel. Additionally, they promised a delivery date that was never even scheduled. If you plan to do business with Ashley's, I recommend going to the McAllen store. People please remember it's worth filing a complaint with the BBB since it is free and relatively quick! Definitely filing!

She went above and beyond to make sure that we found everything that we needed. She exceeded our expectations. She was so knowledgeable about the products and the selection that they have that we were able to go through this store with ease. What really stood out was how she took the time to listen to our preferences and really made the whole shopping experience wonderful. Everyone on the team was very warm and greeted us with smiles. And you can see that customer satisfaction is really high for them. The showroom is beautiful! Analisa was so helpful and let us take our time, ultimately we were able to find the perfect furniture for our home. We dwe definitely will be returning to that store any time we need anything for the house.

Horrible customer service and really bad communication overall. Won’t answer their phone calls and take forever to give you an answer. Called for 2 weeks straight everyday to cancel an order and they still came to my Apt with it and had to send it back. You have 72 hours to report anything but they never answered the phone and after a week of calling they finally answered and told me it was canceled and never was. Customer service sends me to the store, and the store sends me back to customer service making it impossible to get a straight answer. Tried to get ahold of the manager and after waiting for over an hour and a half on hold they just hung up on me. Now I have an incomplete sofa in my Apt with no arm rest and still have to pay the regular price for it. Overall, it has been the worst experience I’ve had in a furniture store.

Well… I have to say purchasing has never been faster but the problem was with the items I paid for not being able to get from distributor center. (It wasn’t their fault) I purchased 5 stools 3 were available 1 wasn’t able to be sold since it was marked clearance and it couldn’t be released 🤷🏻‍♀️ And there were no more shipments insight. I’m very thankful to the distribution center for being honest and kind with me. Even the sales man was great, the problem is that the inventory I paid for was not available
