When we(me and my husband) were shopping at Ashley store in Decatur, it was wonderful. But things turned around quickly after that. They told me furniture will be delivered within 2weeks. Then it came 3 weeks later. That’s fine, it can be happen, I understand. Then I noticed one of the rug didn’t came. I ordered two rugs. I contacted store and a lady told me it won’t be here sometime in June. (Which means more than a month later) Because factory gonna discontinue this rug. And asking “Is that ok with you?” No, of course not! Would it be nice if they told me before I ordered. I asked for refund, lady said refund will be only possible within 72 hours after purchase. Well, your store didn’t/couldn’t deliver what you promised! It’s not my fault or responsibility that rug is not at my home. What the heck!!! Anyway, since I didn’t want to waiting for over a month to get my rug, they said I could come and get a displayed one. I said “I paid for a new rug and you told me to get a used one?” A lady said it wasn’t a used one. Just displayed. Yes, displayed on the store floor that all customers were walked on. That’s not new! That’s what it called “used”. Don’t play words with me! I was furious. Then she said she is gonna check with manager and call me back. She called me back few minutes later and told me that they checked their inventory and found a new one. (Really? All of sudden?) Me and my husband went to Ashley store. They were ready for us. I looked at a rug which wrapped with thin plastic vinyl, and I asked. “Is this a new one?” (A guy who was sailing furniture to us was there. He was very kind and helpful. ) I heard a lady said “yes” from behind him. But at the same time, sales man said “No, it was displayed one. We had two, so I picked the more clean one and it has been throughly cleaned and ready to go. We are very sorry about this.” He apologized few more times. We took that rug. Not because we are stupid to believe it was new, but because that guy was honest and sincerely apologized. But we are never going back to Ashley store In Decatur ever! I do not appreciate the way they handle their business and I hate lairs. Do not treat your customers as if they are stupid. If you must lie, put some effort! At least try to make it believable. Oh, by the way, my dining table has a missing part. Delivery guys couldn’t finished assembling. They said they will send technician to fix this problem and I am still waiting. It has been more than 24 to 48 hours for sure! Another lie. I am done with this place. I gave a one star because there is no negative stars.
