I was highly disappointed in the quality of the $700 recliner I bought online. It took us over the 72-hour return policy acceptance time to be able to get the chair to my dad because of health reasons. When we did get the chair to him, it wasn't solid or sturdy enough. Part of the reason for missing the 72-hour cut-off for the return was because when the chair was delivered, the box was shredded, and some parts were missing. I contacted the makers of the chair first and waited a day to hear back from them, only to be told that I would have to go thru Ashleyfurniture.com. I was told that the chair manufacturer had contacted Ashley, and I would have to wait for them to contact me. I'm still waiting! I even called and checked to make sure they had been told about the missing parts, and was told that they did, and I just needed to wait to be contacted. I still haven't been. So wouldn't that mean Ashleyfurniture is at fault for missing the 72-hour deadline?? When I tried to return the chair (after not hearing back about missing parts and dad not finding the chair comfortable or solid enough), I was denied because it was over the 72 hours. I tried to explain what happened and was dismissed. I found the product and the customer service to be severely lacking. If someone from Ashleyfurniture.com would like to take a second go at working with me on this issue, I would be more than happy to do so. This chair was bought for my elderly father and his health made it impossible for him to try it out until it was past the 72 hours, I'm sure anyone with an elderly parent/ grandparent or a heart would understand! And...... there are still missing parts and Ashley still hasn't contacted me back about them! So it breaks down like this; I eat it on a $700 (overly) priced chair that doesn't meet expectations, and I do not even get my missing parts! Nice!

Edit: To the owner who responded, the fact that you call an attempt to scam $1000 out of me miscommunication is hilarious. Also it wasnt your locations customer support, I had to call corporate. Will never shop here again. The only reason I kept my order is because of customer support and the discount they gave me on my 10k order for my new mattress & adjustable base. The sales rep who set me up to purchase my new bed pretty much tricked me into an additional 1k worth of product. A $500 bed cover that she told us was free & an extended warranty. Made us sign for our "gift" and receive text messages asking if we got our "gift" only to see a $500 charge for it later on. When I asked her about it she said "who told you it was a gift? Who told you that?"... I don't know maybe the person who suddenly handed me a bed cover and was like "on the house just sign here to show you received it since we don't deliver these!" ANYWAY... CS agreed that the product was supposed to be free and thus removed it from my order and also gave me an additional amount off my order to not lose the sale. With that said, the sales rep was also refusing to communicate with anyone because she believes she's a know it all. I have a prior back injury that's supposed to cover the taxes off my order with a prescription that I had. She told me it only covered the mattress. After speaking to a customer service rep, they informed me that was incorrect and I relayed that information back to the sales rep and she immediately told me that was wrong, and when I asked her if she was sure & if there was anyone she could ask she said "no" and long explanation on why that wasn't correct. I later called another CS agent and they informed me once again that she was incorrect and offered to do the prescription for me, which they did and removed the taxes for both the mattress & base before delivery. I won't mention the name of the sales rep just because my experience shouldn't define others with her but I definitely won't return.
