I've found good deals and helpful salespeople at Ashley. I've bought a bedroom set from them, a sofa, and a rug. In my experience I have noticed that the quality can vary between pieces. Some are higher quality than others. I noticed some lower quality with the bedroom set. I do love the style and the bundle was great for me at the time. Customer service is not great. Its very hard to get in contact with the people you talk to in store if you have follow up questions because the phone number doesn't take you to the actual store, it takes you to Ashley headquarters. I needed to contact the guy who sold me the couch, it took two platforms and four people to even get to the right store.
We renovated our kitchen this spring and needed a new table. We checked several different stores before finally finding one at Ashely Furniture that we liked. We ordered in March 15th. We were warned that it was on back order and may have to wait until June to get it. So we made due till then. It came in a little early and we were able to pick it up on May 26th. I put the table and 8 chairs together myself. Two of the chairs were messed up and really uneven and wobbly. One chair the support bar for the leg was drilled wrong and would not work. We called the next day. They said they would ship us a new leg kit and then we could have a technician come and set it up. No time frame was given. Fast forward to now, four weeks after getting my table no kit, no call. So we call back and they said that the kit won't ship until mid JULY!!!!!! We are making due with the wobbly chairs, but who knows how long they will last with 4 kids playing on them. We can't even use the one that was drilled wrong. So upset that we have to wait for this to be repaired. When we bought the table originally we had a great experience that's why I gave 2 stars. But everything since has been ridiculous!!! We won't be shopping at Ashley every again.
Boy let me tell you about this place. As soon as I entered I was immediately set upon by three men asking what I was there for. I told them I was in need of a chair, and they lost interest at once. But one did mention that the entire store was 50% off. Well great! I went through, and every chair I was remotely interested in had a tag with a very small discount with a big disclaimer saying it was a "Managers Special" and not eligible for any other discounts. Whatever. I didn't come for the discount, but even so, it was a bit misleading to tell me the store was 50% off when clearly it wasn't. I finally found a recliner I liked and waited for someone to come answer some questions. When no one came after a while I figured I'd look it up online instead. Imagine my surprise to find that this same chair (another "Managers Special") on sale from $1399 to $999 in store was on their website for $764.99. When I pointed it out, the salesman offered it to me for $700. At that point I went to RC Willey. The store was clean, though. Furniture was cute.
It's too expensive!!! Low quality.
Avoid this company at all costs. Went out and spent $2400 on a new couch to celebrate my engagement (and we really needed a new one). They had lied about our delivery date, saying it was to be delivered on June 21st. When I didn’t receive a call about a delivery time, I had to call the company and they told me that the new delivery date was July 1st. Okay, a week and a half later, I then call today (June 18th) to confirm the July 1st delivery date, the woman kindly tells me that the July 1st date is now July 21st. I have family coming in to visit for my engagement party on June 30th and got a bigger couch to accommodate the family. Now I have to tell my 90 year old grand parents they have to sit on the floor because Ashley furniture can’t keep their PAYING CUSTOMERS updated on the product they PAYED FOR. Almost want to get my money back and go somewhere else. Never again.
Worst customer service that I have dealt with. They really do not care if your happy or not. No follow-up on large purchases. They tried to force deliver broken furniture. Saying "it can be repaired like new".... I bought new so why am I having to repair brand new furniture? Delay of furniture delivery, it's on you to hunt down the status. When I let them know I was unhappy it was met with an attitude that really gave 0 craps. So, don't shop here.
Customer service is lacking. They will promise you a replacement and then not honor their word. Shop carefully at ashley homestore! On the phone for over 3 hours now trying to resolve this and they continue to hang up!
Terrible company. Total Tax - Pickup WHSE (7.25 %) 85.79 instead of 100 delivery fee. Waiting for months on couches and none of the numbers work for delivery status, the online pushes dates back a month every time, going to file fraud charge soon. Will never purchase again through this company. Steal the money then zero follow up or responses.
this was probably my worst retail shopping experience ever. The store manager was very rude and deceitful. They screwed up on my order and I tried to get them to fix it. I finally cancelled my order due to their lack of customer service and lack of professionalism. I was promised 3 times that my order would be cancelled but it never happened. I was lied to multiple times. I would never recommend this store and especially not this store manager. I would give them zero stars if that was an option. Buyer beware. The online people were great to work with but the in-store people in Draper Utah store were horrible to work with.
If there was a zero star, I would use that. If you are shopping for furniture, go to RC Wiley. Hands down, a better experience going through them. Salesman was rude and said-“listen, I have other customers that want to buy, so if you’re not going to buy this, I’ll just got to them”. 😂 there wasn’t any other customers in the store!! I should have bailed then. When I did decide to purchase my dinning room set, he ordered EVERYTHING wrong. The table, and the chairs were all wrong. He ordered two table bases... no table top... and 6 of the wrong chairs... I picked up at the warehouse (the salesman told me it was close to Draper.... nope) The warehouse employees wouldn’t help me use my husbands ratchet straps to secure my order in the truck bed. They said “ you need to figure that out by yourself and move your truck so we can move on to the next people”.... THANKS!!! I had my two babies (2, and 8 months) in the back seat and had never used those straps before ... luckily two men who just got off work helped me in the front parking lot when they saw me crying trying to figure out how I was going to drive an hour home with ... all of the wrong furniture in my husbands truck... I just got off the phone for the third time for scheduling the pick up of the wrong order, and the delivery of what I should have gotten weeks ago... yep weeks... and it still won’t be here for another two weeks due to people scheduling things wrong. Trust me... no matter how much you like the furniture... it isn’t worth it.
