Ashley Furniture is an absolute disaster from start to finish. 0/5 stars!!! They sold us a defective mattress and had it inspected by their own technician, and confirmed it qualified for a warranty exchange. That should have been the end of it. Instead, it turned into months of chaos, broken promises, and total incompetence. Delivery after delivery was scheduled. We rearranged our lives, took time off work, and waited at home — only for trucks to either never show up or arrive with no replacement mattress at all. On multiple occasions, they showed up only to try to remove the defective mattress with nothing to replace it. This happened over and over again. Every time we contacted customer service, we were told something different. “It’s fixed.” “It’s escalated.” “It’ll be delivered next week.” None of it was true. Nothing ever actually got resolved. When we were finally told to select a different mattress, we were hit with more billing errors caused entirely by Ashley’s internal mistakes. These errors delayed delivery even further and forced us to jump through more hoops just to get what should have been a simple exchange. Eventually, the new mattress was delivered and the defective one was removed from our home by Ashley’s own delivery team. And then — unbelievably — Ashley claimed the old mattress was missing. As if it somehow vanished after THEIR employees took it. This put an even bigger delay on our return. We provided photographic proof showing Ashley’s technicians inside our home installing the new mattress and removing the old one. We also have emails and text messages documenting everything. Management asked for the proof, we sent it, and then they stopped responding until we pestered them repeatedly until we got a response saying that they now have the mattress. This took weeks!!! To make this even worse, my wife has been pregnant during this entire ordeal and will probably grow and deliver an entire baby before Ashley can process a simple return. She was forced to sleep on a defective mattress for months because Ashley could not get their act together. This caused serious back pain and resulted in multiple visits to the chiropractor. We have now been told by the current store manager that our money is with the Ashley financial department and we can expect our money within 1-2 billing cycles. We have heard this before, multiple times and from previous store managers too. We will believe it when we see it. This company is disorganized, careless, and completely unaccountable. Once they have your money, good luck getting honest communication or follow-through. Their systems are broken, their customer service is useless, and management disappears when things get uncomfortable. If you value your time, your sanity, or being treated with basic decency — do not shop at Ashley Furniture.

Our delivery was great. Our sales lady was great. Some salesman always meets us at the door then we never see him.

I visited the store today and spent approximately 30 minutes shopping for a loveseat. During that time, I was never approached or asked if I needed assistance. Several sales associates were standing or sitting together conversing, while there were at least 10 groups of customers in the store—many of whom, like myself, were without any sales support. Given that it was a “rainy”January 1st, shortly after the holidays, customers who are out shopping are likely serious customers. Unfortunately, the lack of engagement made my experience disappointing. Maybe they’re not on any commission plan or have any incentive?

Jim was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He helped up pick out our house furniture and spent over 2 hours helping us. Highly recommend the draper store and Jim as the sales agent. Very pleasant experience!
