Ed and Lee were great at helping my grandparents get a new chair. If you come to Ashley ask for one of them!

I was looking for a replacement King sized mattress for the 14 year old one that I had. I got the name off of my mattress and discovered that Ashley was the only store that carried my mattress brand. Hey, it lasted 14 years trouble free!! I had no complaints. Upon walking into the store my wife and I met Greg Winters the salesman for Ashley. Greg was very personable and also very knowledgeable about Kingsized mattresses and the different varieties and manufacturers. He didn't at any time try to "push" me toward a specific mattress because of the price of the mattress. He explained the facts and that was it. In the end we decided on a Beauty Rest mattress because of a number of comparisons that Greg made for me. We had looked at mattresses in several of the leading mattress stores and although Greg appeared very informed he never tried to "steer me" toward any specific mattress. We worked out a deal for the Beauty Rest which actually worked in my interest, not the stores, for my satisfaction, not the stores and pretty soon we had a deal! I obviously don't have a clue how all of this is going to end up except to say that if it goes bad Ashley fixed it so I won't lose a thing and if It's all good then it'll be another 14 years before I purchase another mattress. Either way I'll update this rating. We'll, maybe not if its 14 years.... ;-).

Ive placed 2 order through Ashley. The 2-3 weeks they say it will take for delivery turns into 4 then 5 then we dont have it in stock. Both times I had to contact them and ask why they kept delaying the delivery. I ended up not getting either item after 3 months of waiting. Just stay away and go buy somewhere else unless you want an empty house and lots of waiting on hold to talk to a rep. Edit: order delayed yet again. Contacted Ashley to find out why... haven't received an answer.

We bought a new couch and even with a longer delivery time than we wanted, Ed was absolutely incredible. He wasn’t too pushy and knew how to be real with us while being helpful. I usually hate going to big box stores. Always the sales association up your butt, trying to force you to buy something you don't want. Breathing down your throat. Etc.. Greg Winters at Ashley Furniture in Barboursville WV is not that guy. He was very informative and was there when I needed him and let me and my wife have privacy to look on our own. I feel like he wasn't there to rob me, but there to help me. I've been a long time Big Sandy Superstore fan. Greg alone made me an Ashley guy. Bottom line, if you want good furniture at a good price, without someone breathing over you, go see Greg W!

my bed frame took 2.5 weeks longer than they told me it would and provided no compensation and the lady on the phone gave attitude when i asked how much longer it would be. now they won’t answer my calls and it’s time to pick it up for the third time.

Purchased a sectional in store no financing. Was apologized to in advance that it would take about 5 weeks. Received no follow up with tracking or update when delivery would happen until calling myself middle of November. Was told one piece was still not available and would have to wait until end of November. I was originally informed they would ship everything available by first week of November and I scheduled my work around this. I was apologized to and told they would call back before noon that day after they pull some strings that could expedite my delivery. Never received a callback. Started this review and received the reply below but week and a half no callback. Sectional arrived end of November missing legs for the corner wedge. I was told by the manager of this store that I will be contacted next day to schedule delivery of the missing legs. Took a few days to receive the callback but new legs got ordered. Early January technician came to drill in missing legs. Technician mistakenly thought the wedge was manufactured wrong because there were no pre-drilled holes and said we needed to replace the wedge with new one. I told him that is confusing because the other pieces of the couch were also not pre-drilled holes. I pointed out that the replacement legs liked like the wrong ones. They went with ordering new wedge. Will give credit that they got it to me in 3 days but I was pretty verbally frustrated at that point so they made a better effort. New wedge arrived 1/10 and confirmed that they do not have pre-drilled holes in these wedges. Unfortunately, the new one also didn’t come with the legs. I did proceed with a BBB complaint at this point and spoke again with the store manager. Although I was fed up, we talked it out and the manager went out of his way after his shift today with the legs from their store model and installed them himself. It took a couple months longer than expected with many headaches and mishaps but their manager Nate went above his regular duties to take care of this. Appreciative of that. Rating updated to neutral from 1 star and will be closing the BBB complaint.

I could not have foreseen just how rare a jewel she she would prove to be, as she was poised at the desk at the entry of the store. Her warm smile and immediate welcome to the store set the stage for my genuine buying experience. Her personality cannot hide itself. Beyond her beautiful appearance, she knew the merchandise of the entire store. She possesses a computer like recollection of past iterations of furniture which are built on the same frame. Several employees mentioned her clairvoyance. Beyond her expertise, she wanted me to have the items that I wanted rather than settling for something. She looked out for me to insure that I went home with the highest quality furniture.

Very horrible service. I called off work to wait for delivery. I called to check on it. For them to tell me that the delivery was rescheduled for September 13 with no email or anything saying this. Prior to this i needed some soon as I dont have furniture in my home 1 month and 3 weeks out was the next delivery time. When I said I needed it soon as possible. Was willing to find a different chair to make it happen sooner. Im canceling everything with them.

We bought out couch and loveseat in July of 2024. We loved it at first, but started having some issues. The cover broke off the recliner buttons, none of the USB ports work anymore, one of the recliners have started having a rip in, and stains from outlr kids as well. But no problem, we purchases the warranty for $400 that said they would take care of it. They won't cover anything!!! They said the damage was too extensive. I understand not covering the stains because of children, but the other things were manufacturing issues. DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY! IT IS A SCAM!

We recently purchased a couch and chair from Ashley. The buying experience in the store was excellent—our salesman, Ed, was amazing. He was knowledgeable, low-pressure, and genuinely helpful. He made the process smooth and stress-free. Delivery was estimated at four weeks, and it arrived right on time, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the delivery experience fell far short of the in-store service. The delivery crew had poor attitudes and were visibly unprofessional. They didn’t bring the right tools to complete the assembly and asked to use ours. Even worse, they unwrapped the sofa outside, dragged it across our yard, and tracked in dirt without cleaning it. They also damaged plants on our front porch in the process. While we’re happy with the furniture itself and Ed’s outstanding service, the delivery experience really took away from the overall satisfaction. We'd highly recommend the store staff, but Ashley needs to seriously improve their delivery standards.

Ed did a great job of assisting us today when in the store. He greeted me immediately and just let me look around without any pressure. Once I found a kitchen table set I was interested in, I left the store to bring my wife in who was shopping a few doors down. Ed came back to work with us without having to ask for him and went out of his way to help us move chairs around until we found the ones we wanted with the table. Hovered he not! Winters of my discontent, nay I say! I purchased my first living room suit in 37 years of marriage. It was scary for me. I entered the store and expressed my preferences to Greg Winters. He immediately showed me which area of the store to peruse. And he did the best thing a salesman can do. He let me be. Ten minutes later I asked for some care info on a set I found. He was knowledgeable and kind and helpful in every area including delivery. I left the store within a half hour delighted I did not need to shop anywhere else. Mr. Winters is a blessing! Thanks to whoever hired him.

We went to Aahley furniture in search of a sectional. The store in barboursville was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. Our sales associate was Jamie Dunfee. Super nice and very helpful. He helped us find what we were looking for and we purchased one that day. March 5 2025 with a delivery date of March 28. Delivery date came and went. With a promise from the distribution center of a week longer. Delivery came and we got part of the sectional with one piece missing and one piece incorrectly ordered. Two more weeks went by and we finally got the rest of our order. Delivery guys were awesome. Very nice and polite and we had no issue with them. The only thing I had issue with was having to call the distribution center and schedule my own delivery. The lady that I spoke too wasn't helpful and gave me the impression she could care less if we got our order or not. She acted annoyed that I even called. I actually dreaded dialing that number. End result we got the sectional we ordered and we love it. I will shop again but maybe I will request that my sales associate handle the delivery scheduling part.

The people that work at Ashley are super nice and helpful. The furniture I have bought from there has been wonderful quality. however they do not tell you the price difference of online and in store can be hundreds of dollars in difference. Do your research and be careful. Make sure you follow up with their online pricing and have them match it bc everything is marked way up in store and if you don’t know to look online they will let you pay hundreds more for the mark up price even with a “sale”. Just doesn’t seem right to me.

Updated: Unhappy with Ashley in Barboursville. Purchased entire Living Room suit, when delivered the loveseat has dirty hand prints on it. Driver documented and took photos, said would turn in, did not, we never heard anything back. We have called, We have went to Store, lady at desk did not listen to nothing we said, was too busy looking for something. Finally said would go get Manager, he was “supposedly” on phone and would be out, never came out and never called us. She took down all info and said they would most likely order new loveseat and that Manager would call us, Never did. So we have been waiting on new loveseat to show up, and nothing. Called again, Lady said we have no record of that, and big surprise, Manager unavailable again. We said that we need for him to call us that day, and not a word. We are done with this Barboursville store, once they get your money, they are done. We will be going elsewhere for any future purchases. Attn: store owner who answers these posts, do not say, oh we are sorry, please call to discuss….. No, we have done that, we have came in, we have called, Nobody at Ashley cares.

I went to Ashley Furniture to look at mattresses and Mia helped me pick out a very comfortable mattress at a fantastic price. Mia was so helpful and friendly, and provided much better service than I've ever received at Big Sandy. I'll be going directly back to Mia at Ashley Furniture next time I'm looking for furniture. Update: Mia stressed that it could take a few months to settle into a mattress and convinced me to buy the Love Your Mattress plan so I could return it within six months if I needed. I didn't expect to use it, but four months in, the mattress was no longer working for my back. I returned to the store to purchase the new mattress I had picked, and Marcus helped me order the replacement. He was very friendly and helpful, and he got me in and out of the store in about half an hour. I now have two great experiences at Ashley and will return for any furniture needs.

I bought a couch from Ashley Furniture & it was such a seamless process! Mia Bragg assisted me every step of the way, and answered every phone call and text I sent. Came to Ashley furniture looking for 2 matching recliners. I was greeted by Mia. She directed us to recliner section of store and then we started testing them out. Marcus Coney greeted me the minute I entered the store, he wanted to help me but I just wanted to browse and he respected that and left me alone. When I wanted to ask him some questions he was right there, this is very important to me because I like to concentrate and be able to think about my home space. Marcus was the most polite salesman I have ever encountered. The one thing I can say is you better not lose him or you’ll definitely see a difference, courtesy is way under appreciated yet everyone expects it! He met my husband the next day and was just as courteous to him. We are 70 and 71 years old and he renewed our faith in young people!

I’ve been in the market for a mattress for quite some time. My search led me to my local Ashley store, after I had been to several other stores in the area. My salesperson, Tawanna was my saving grace. She used a sleep diagnostic machine that told her exactly what type of mattress that would help me get a great nights sleep. She was so helpful and kind, and so was everyone else! I was able to get the mattress I’ve always needed, at the best price in the area hands down. I would definitely recommend Tawanna and the helpful folks at Ashley for your mattress needs!

I showed her the picture online and she took me straight to it. After deciding I wanted to purchase the couch she discussed deals, warranties, and how to apply for credit. Tawanna was extremely helpful and friendly! If you are in search of new furniture I would recommend going to Ashley and shopping with Tawanna!

During the purchasing process I felt like I was dealing with an old used car salesman. We decided to go with the purchase since we liked the furnishings we chose. The prices at the end seemed higher than originally quoted, and we're still waiting on our furniture. We believe we were told two weeks, but now we're told the warehouse will have it at four weeks and then we arrange delivery. We're not likely to shop Ashley again.

We went in to look and ended buying a bed thst needed to be ordered, we were assured it would take 2-3 weeks. I explained we needed the bed prior to Christmas Day. We were told it would arrive in time. I understand things happen and around the Holidays things can also get delayed. It was delayed, twice and I was given different dates every time I called. My headboard and foundation had been delivered but nothing else and I was told multiple different dates for arrival for the rest of the bed. After calling a few times we were finally offered additional bed. Nothing like the one we ordered. We were still charged $700 for the foundation we ordered for the original bed we purchased. It does not for this bed and this bed is not meant to have a foundation. Now we have a bed that’s almost 4’ high for a child. I was definitely misled and the sales associate did not help with many options or bother sharing that the foundation did not fit the bed she offered for replacement. So, we paid $1,200 for a much cheaper quality bed and a $700 foundation that we cannot use. We are looking for other furniture for our house and do not recommend going here. Though, I must give credit to the Nitro location as they were eager and ready to help as soon as we called. Do not recommend the Barboursville store.

I came into Ashley to look at a bedroom suite and possibly some couches. As usual, I was approached by a sales staff to see if I needed help. Like most people just browsing, I responded that I was just looking. Mia (Bragg) asked what I was looking for, and took me to look at several bedroom suites. She asked what I liked about the ones I was meh to, and what I disliked. After four sets, she took me to look at my eventual purchase, and it fit perfectly as to what I wanted. She was the perfect mix of listening to what I actually wanted, and took me to exactly what I was looking for before I even knew what it was. She made the ordering process simple, and had the perfect mix of humor and seriousness that made me feel at ease. I would definitely recommend asking for her!

Ashley store in Barboursville, WV has been great to work with over the years! We have made multiple purchases there and always work with Mary Halstead if possible. Recently we had some trouble with a sofa we bought roughly 2 years ago. I called to see what could be done and found out my 1 year warranty had expired and we chose not to add the extended warranty. I was sure we would have to repair or replace the sofa ourselves. I spoke with Mary who said she would see what they could do. Honestly I didn't expect much but to my surprise I was shipped all new materials for the sofa and a tech came out to fix it. We only had to pay a reasonable fee for the labor. I was thoroughly impressed! Being happy with a sales experience is common enough but the true test is when there is a problem after the sale. Ashley Store went above and beyond to help us and Mary Halstead is the best!! Thank you!

Tim was fantastic! The day my husband and I went to buy a mattress, we told him exactly what we wanted and he had us try it out. Since we liked it, he did not push any other mattresses on us which I truly appreciated because I hate pushy sales people. The only thing I didn’t like was having to wait an entire month for delivery, but that’s because I’m impatient lol.

My husband and I had a great experience with our local Ashley Furniture Store!! We were welcomed in the store, asked a few key questions, and then asked if we needed assistance to find what we wanted or would like to look on our own. We chose the latter. We found the perfect sofa for us. We were contacted for a delivery schedule. The date was set. Last Friday (this is Monday), we received a call and text confirming the delivery window. About 20 minutes ago, I got a text with a 10 minute window and within 5 minutes they were here. It was just delivered about 10 minutes ago. That was also a great experience. The guys didn’t complain when I asked them to take off their shoes (we just had the carpets cleaned Thursday), they simply brought it in, set it up, and even took out their own trash. I LOVE IT!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

It was all in all a pretty great experience.. BUT no one told us we had to buy a box spring separately so now we have to go get one before we can even sleep on our new bed.

Justin went above and beyond to make sure we had a positive experience. He was very knowledgeable about Ashley's furniture and mattress selection. He spent a great deal of time helping us find furniture that would best meet our needs.

Overall, very easy once we picked out our LR set. Buying process was simple and the delivery is too notch. The care taken into getting items off a truck and into a home is something most businesses don’t put any thought into. Great job Ashley Team.

Just going to leave this here so others can learn from our experience. Found our chairs, snagged an employee, asked about a price break on multiple items and we were told there was nothing they could do because of the tag color? No worries. Got home and I got asked if I taken a photo of the chairs and I didn’t so we jumped on the website —— wouldn’t you know the exact chair online was $300 less…. called the store, said come back in and we’ll credit you the difference, the website does weird things sometimes. So no harm, no foul. The credit was $631.00. Our bill went from $1,9xx to $1,2xx. Do yourself a favor and price check your items on the website before checking out because no one else will, might save you some money.

Received the products but the couch had 2 stripped bolts so can't use until Ashley gets it fixed. Delivery personnel notified the company of the pre-existing damaged part. Told us we would be notified of resolution to problem within a half hour.
