This store in Barboursville wv is top notch. Ashley has become my only furnituHer patience re store. The first time I went, looking for a dresser, I was going to spend $500 on that dresser. The salesman showed me a bedroom set, on clearance for the same price with 2 dressers. His kindness about this sold me on your store. To date I have purchased a couch and a motorized recliner. I called and spoke to Rachel a number of times. Her patience with me was exemplary. She was kind and showed me several options and I chose the best choice for my needs. Updated: Unhappy with Ashley in Barboursville. Purchased entire Living Room suit, when delivered the loveseat has dirty hand prints on it. Driver documented and took photos, said would turn in, did not, we never heard anything back. We have called, We have went to Store, lady at desk did not listen to nothing we said, was too busy looking for something. Finally said would go get Manager, he was “supposedly” on phone and would be out, never came out and never called us. She took down all info and said they would most likely order new loveseat and that Manager would call us, Never did. So we have been waiting on new loveseat to show up, and nothing. Called again, Lady said we have no record of that, and big surprise, Manager unavailable again. We said that we need for him to call us that day, and not a word. We are done with this Barboursville store, once they get your money, they are done. We will be going elsewhere for any future purchases. Attn: store owner who answers these posts, do not say, oh we are sorry, please call to discuss….. No, we have done that, we have came in, we have called, Nobody at Ashley cares.

Mia was so helpful and friendly, and provided much better service than I've ever received at Big Sandy. I'll be going directly back to Mia at Ashley Furniture next time I'm looking for furniture. Update: Mia stressed that it could take a few months to settle into a mattress and convinced me to buy the Love Your Mattress plan so I could return it within six months if I needed. I didn't expect to use it, but four months in, the mattress was no longer working for my back. I returned to the store to purchase the new mattress I had picked, and Marcus helped me order the replacement. He was very friendly and helpful, and he got me in and out of the store in about half an hour. I now have two great experiences at Ashley and will return for any furniture needs.

Ashley Barboursville failed to contact us about shipping delays, claimed we didn’t pay for delivery when it was included in quote, & took an entire week to process our refund. Poor customer service.

Came to Ashley furniture looking for 2 matching recliners. I was greeted by Mia. She directed us to recliner section of store and then we started testing them out. Mia gave us time to ourselves to decide and was not pushy. She came back to check on us and after talking with her and taking her advice, I decided on a loveseat with recliners on each end. Marcus Coney greeted me the minute I entered the store, he wanted to help me but I just wanted to browse and he respected that and left me alone. When I wanted to ask him some questions he was right there, this is very important to me because I like to concentrate and be able to think about my home space. Marcus was the most polite salesman I have ever encountered. The one thing I can say is you better not lose him or you’ll definitely see a difference, courtesy is way under appreciated yet everyone expects it! He met my husband the next day and was just as courteous to him. We are 70 and 71 years old and he renewed our faith in young people!

I’ve been in the market for a mattress for quite some time. My search led me to my local Ashley store, after I had been to several other stores in the area. My salesperson, Tawanna was my saving grace. She used a sleep diagnostic machine that told her exactly what type of mattress that would help me get a great nights sleep. She was so helpful and kind, and so was everyone else! I was able to get the mattress I’ve always needed, at the best price in the area hands down. I would definitely recommend Tawanna and the helpful folks at Ashley for your mattress needs!

I visited Ashley Furniture in barboursville West Virginia, and encountered a sales professional named Mia Bragg. She helped find my niece find the perfect bedroom suit that will last her for years. She was very knowledgeable, kind and professional. The delivery men was very professional and friendly. The best I have encountered.
Might be the worst customer service experience we’ve received anywhere. I will throw Roy in as an exception. He’s been the only one willing to return a phone call or even try to help out at all. Thank you, Roy. However, I ordered a complete bedroom set in November and was supposed to be in shortly before Christmas. Never received calls that it was in. I had to keep trying to track down the status. First week of January was told it was in and I had one delivery day option for the month basically. Wasn’t told that would be the case upon purchasing. Anyways, made arrangements to be home for delivery ( I paid extra for the full set up!) and deliver was canceled for snowy roads ( understandable!) But then it was canceled two more times and the roads were fine on the third cancelation from them. They didn’t even attempt to deliver. Continued phone calls TO them in the days afterwards bc I would never get return phone calls to reschedule delivery and I was finally told they wouldn’t be coming my way again until mid Feb. Well, not acceptable since I’ve been waiting on this furniture since November. They are completely unwilling to work with your schedule to deliver at any convenient time or days for you. Also since I did financing thru them I was told they NEVER bill you until after furniture is delivered. Well, I never received furniture and so I insisted my order be canceled at that point. Now I’m getting billed for the full amount of furniture that they never delivered! So I have disputes opened up and the hassle of now dealing with that. Stay away from the gimmicks and never finance any items through Ashley and never use this company if you care about receiving good customer service any whatsoever.

During the purchasing process I felt like I was dealing with an old used car salesman. We decided to go with the purchase since we liked the furnishings we chose. The prices at the end seemed higher than originally quoted, and we're still waiting on our furniture. We believe we were told two weeks, but now we're told the warehouse will have it at four weeks and then we arrange delivery. We're not likely to shop Ashley again.

We went in to look and ended buying a bed thst needed to be ordered, we were assured it would take 2-3 weeks. I explained we needed the bed prior to Christmas Day. We were told it would arrive in time. I understand things happen and around the Holidays things can also get delayed. It was delayed, twice and I was given different dates every time I called. My headboard and foundation had been delivered but nothing else and I was told multiple different dates for arrival for the rest of the bed. After calling a few times we were finally offered additional bed. Nothing like the one we ordered. We were still charged $700 for the foundation we ordered for the original bed we purchased. It does not for this bed and this bed is not meant to have a foundation. Now we have a bed that’s almost 4’ high for a child. I was definitely misled and the sales associate did not help with many options or bother sharing that the foundation did not fit the bed she offered for replacement. So, we paid $1,200 for a much cheaper quality bed and a $700 foundation that we cannot use. We are looking for other furniture for our house and do not recommend going here. Though, I must give credit to the Nitro location as they were eager and ready to help as soon as we called. Do not recommend the Barboursville store.
My husband and I purchased a new bed frame earlier this month and Mary was phenomenal! She was super helpful and got our bed to us speedy quick. Not only did Mia help me find a better sectional and chair, she helped pick out the perfect dining room table with extra storage that I desperately needed. And while it took a minute, she then found a near identical set that came in a better color scheme to match my furniture!

Like most people just browsing, I responded that I was just looking. Mia (Bragg) asked what I was looking for, and took me to look at several bedroom suites. She asked what I liked about the ones I was meh to, and what I disliked. After four sets, she took me to look at my eventual purchase, and it fit perfectly as to what I wanted. She was the perfect mix of listening to what I actually wanted, and took me to exactly what I was looking for before I even knew what it was. She made the ordering process simple, and had the perfect mix of humor and seriousness that made me feel at ease. I would definitely recommend asking for her!

My husband and I purchased new furniture at the end of September from Justin Robinson in the Barboursville store. Justin was absolutely fabulous to work with on all accounts. He is truly a great “sleep consultant”; as we went in to buy a bedroom suite and sofa and came away with a new sleep number adjustable “Purple” mattress and base instead of keeping my perfectly good mattress and boxsprings, he sold us very quickly, the only negative I have is that we have not got it yet and we are “dying” to try it out, and very confident that Justin’s recommendations will exceed our expectations and needs. He worked diligently to get us the absolute best deals that he could. I would recommend this store without hesitation; and I would ask for Justin every time.
Currently redecorating a living room and honestly dreading the furniture shopping experience. I’ve been an Ashley customer before so that the first place I went today and WOW, just WOW 🤩. I was greeted by Tawanna at the door and I’m so thankful. I told her I was just there to browse and get some ideas. She seemed genuinely interested in what I was doing to the living room and she asked great questions to help guide me. I left there today purchasing a new sofa/recliner (not at all the style I went in looking for, ha, but she knew the questions to ask me to see what I really NEEDED) along with a table and stools. I never felt pressured, she let me take my time, she walked me through scenarios, she explained everything thoroughly (purchase, packages, delivery, etc). I highly recommend seeking Tawanna out your next visit to Ashley in Barboursville and I can’t wait to get my new furniture!
Some super shady stuff going on here. We came in for one of their "one day sales." 20% off everything with a white tag, which was basically the entire store. We found a couch that was originally $999, marked down to $799. My mom declined the insurance, which was more than $100. The manager then proceeded to try to strongarm us into buying the insurance, until we literally had to tell him no like 5 times. Dude needs to relax. They told us the couch would be delivered in 2 weeks. It's now been about 5 weeks and we still don't have a delivery date, even after calling the store. I suspect it is on backorder, but the lady on the phone danced around the issue and never came out and said so. A few days after buying the couch from the store, we went on their website to look at it in more detail. The listed price online was $799, not the $999 that was listed in the store. Which means they either marked the couch up 20% just so they could have their "one day sale," or their online prices are simply cheaper than in-store, even though the furniture ultimately ships from the same warehouse. Either way, it is an absolute scam.

Ashley store in Barboursville, WV has been great to work with over the years! We have made multiple purchases there and always work with Mary Halstead if possible. Recently we had some trouble with a sofa we bought roughly 2 years ago. I called to see what could be done and found out my 1 year warranty had expired and we chose not to add the extended warranty. I was sure we would have to repair or replace the sofa ourselves. I spoke with Mary who said she would see what they could do. Honestly I didn't expect much but to my surprise I was shipped all new materials for the sofa and a tech came out to fix it. We only had to pay a reasonable fee for the labor. I was thoroughly impressed! Being happy with a sales experience is common enough but the true test is when there is a problem after the sale. Ashley Store went above and beyond to help us and Mary Halstead is the best!! Thank you!

Tim was fantastic! The day my husband and I went to buy a mattress, we told him exactly what we wanted and he had us try it out. Since we liked it, he did not push any other mattresses on us which I truly appreciated because I hate pushy sales people. My husband and I had a great experience with our local Ashley Furniture Store!! We were welcomed in the store, asked a few key questions, and then asked if we needed assistance to find what we wanted or would like to look on our own. We chose the latter. We found the perfect sofa for us. We were contacted for a delivery schedule. The date was set. Last Friday (this is Monday), we received a call and text confirming the delivery window. About 20 minutes ago, I got a text with a 10 minute window and within 5 minutes they were here. It was just delivered about 10 minutes ago. That was also a great experience. The guys didn’t complain when I asked them to take off their shoes (we just had the carpets cleaned Thursday), they simply brought it in, set it up, and even took out their own trash. I LOVE IT!!!! 🥰🥰🥰

Just going to leave this here so others can learn from our experience. Found our chairs, snagged an employee, asked about a price break on multiple items and we were told there was nothing they could do because of the tag color? No worries. Got home and I got asked if I taken a photo of the chairs and I didn’t so we jumped on the website —— wouldn’t you know the exact chair online was $300 less…. called the store, said come back in and we’ll credit you the difference, the website does weird things sometimes. So no harm, no foul. The credit was $631.00. Our bill went from $1,9xx to $1,2xx. Do yourself a favor and price check your items on the website before checking out because no one else will, might save you some money.

Received the products but the couch had 2 stripped bolts so can't use until Ashley gets it fixed. Delivery personnel notified the company of the pre-existing damaged part. Told us we would be notified of resolution to problem within a half hour.

Great selection!! Go here, look at everything, try out all the furniture.. and then get the info from the tag and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE and have them order it for you. Problems from the get go. Now it’s 10:53 PM and I’m waiting on a delivery. Maybe they decided not to deliver today. Maybe they delivered my furniture to someone else. I wouldn’t know because I can’t track my order online, I can’t reach anyone by phone at the store, distribution center, or the 800 number, I can’t message the Facebook page, nothing. The furniture was exactly what we wanted. However, it was delivered several weeks (6) after first date given for delivery. Then, when it finally was delivered the legs were not with the dresser and have to be mailed to us so we have to lift heavy furniture and finish ourselves. The delivery and set up guys were great.

100% recommend our sells associate Tim was amazing he done everything he could to make sure we got what we were looking for. The delivery team was great. They showed up early and ready to get things done. They was in an out within 20 minutes. Got my furniture set up exactly how I wanted it, hooked everything up, made sure all the electronics worked properly, even wiped my furniture down for me before leaving.

Went shopping for new couch and Mindy Starkey was great over the course of two weekends. Ended up buying couch and recliner, she showed me everything I wanted to see. Gave me helpful info throughout. We called about a specific mattress just to see if they had it in stock so we didn’t have to order it offline and was told their system said 2 were on display and the salesperson said “which is a lie because we don’t” and then one in the back but they didn’t see it anywhere. So she said she would ask the manager the next day if it was misplaced. They called us later that day before they closed and said they had found it. My husband waited two hours until they opened in town the next morning after getting off work to go pick it up and they couldn’t find it...again. We showed them the voicemail of the salesperson saying they found it and everything thinking maybe they would check and see if she put it somewhere separate to hold it and nothing. Mistakes happen but to get the literal run around like that is ridiculous. So, stock seems to be ill kept and I hope they can keep track of items better in the future.

Therefore, I had to find a replacement with specific measurements and Tyler Francis went above and beyond to help me not only find something with those specific measurements I had to work with, but also found it at basically the same price of my original purchase. Can't say enough how helpful Adam was with the purchase our bed for a guest bedroom. We had family coming to stay for Christmas and needed a low cost bed quick. I originally ordered online and the Bolanburg table by Ashley kept being pushed to a back order. I called and spoke to Drew at the Barboursville Ashley Store and he was able to get the table for me the same day. Drew was very helpful on the phone and in the store. Bought a brand new king size bed in June in anticipation of our baby being born in November. When we bought it, I specifically asked the salesperson if it was a platform bed or if it needed a box spring. She said "no box spring needed" which was a lie because it only has THREE pine boards to support the entire king size bed. We had the professional installers bring it in and set it up. We put the new box spring and mattress on the bed. I was worried about the lack of support under the bed, but I'm not a furniture company, I assume they know what they're doing. Yeah, no. There are two thin pine slats that run along either side of the bed and then three pine slats running horizontally on top of those to hold the bed together. By September, the thin pine slats on the left side of the bed had completely pulled out of the wood of the frame so the bottom of the mattress was on the floor. My husband put boxes under the mattress to support it higher and keep it from breaking the bed more I called the numbers I could find on Ashley's website and got a "this voicemail box has not been set up" message. I tried the "contact me" option to get a phone call back and West Virginia wasn't even listed as a state 🤷🏼♀️ never got a call back from that. After calling a few more times and calling the store itself, I finally got through to someone about a week later. They said they would mail us new pine slats and then we could install ourselves or have someone come out to do it. Annoying because they're the same bad quality and design, but okay I guess we'll just add our own metal brackets and hope that works. It's been three weeks since then and the replacement items haven't arrived, no contact from Ashley about that. In that time, I wrote a review of the bed (Starmore king size bed) on their website and got a response within 30 minutes to contact them... I did and have never gotten a response so I guess that's just to look good on their website. The right side of the bed has now collapsed and snapped like the left side and the headboard screws are coming apart from the rest of the bed frame. I'm 37 weeks pregnant with a bassinet that's supposed to attach to the side of my bed but I guess I'll bring my baby home to this pile of junk with screws sticking out 🤷🏼♀️ Waste of $700. Next time I'll go to a local person and have them build me an actual solid bedframe.
We came in needing to buy new living room and dining room furniture. Kendra Plants met us at the door. She gave us some time to look around and see what we liked. Then she came back to check on us and answered all of our questions. When we mentioned we needed a dining room set she asked a bunch of questions to see what our taste was. We were able to find the perfect furniture for us. One of the pieces couldn’t be delivered and had to be picked up directly from the store. She immediately texted me the business card of a local reputable mover they had dealt with before since we had no way to transport it. She also kept in contact through the whole process between purchasing and delivery to keep us up to date on arrival dates of the pieces that had to be ordered. She also kept in contact making sure we were still happy with our purchase and answering questions. If I need any more pieces of furniture, I’ll definitely go back to Kendra!

This place is a rip off ,we can't sleep on a $3000 mattress we have had for less than 3 months and they tell me it will cost me $750 restocking fee !!!
Order 2 bedroom furniture has been 3 months still can’t get 1 bedroom furniture right. 1st delivery it was missing items 2 delivery ship the same exact set broken and delivered with missing items. 2nd bedroom furniture drawers piping off the dressing table and the bottom of drawer looks like someone put the boards back together to make it right but it’s still messed up. Called the sales rep many times still no call back this will be the last time we would be buying from Ashley furniture store.

I went into the store, thinking I knew exactly what I wanted.. little did I know, that was certainly not the case. Henry met me at the door and was so sweet and patient as I asked a million different questions about pretty much every couch combination that was in stock. Then after about an hour I had it narrowed down to two couches that I just couldn’t choose from. When I made the “mistake” of sitting on a sectional that turned out to be the first one that Henry had suggested to me. After he and I had spent quite a bit of time together and he had my price range and what I was really looking for, he was able to get that particular couch down to what I had budgeted for & was so sweet about the whole exchange! I had an incredible experience & have steered several of my friends and family to go up and ask for Henry!

Purchased two couches and two side tables. Before delivery of our pieces, our original salesman left there. Adam Blake picked up the scrambled pieces and made everything right. We needed a new mattress, because ours was over 10 years old. While the prices of some of the big box store mattresses, and other online promotions were attractive, we knew we wanted to shop local and get the right fit. Kim was referred to me by a family member. I talked to her for a couple weeks, until we were able to make it into the store. She was very helpful, and the regional sales manager happened to be there to provide even more information. They put my husband on a bed-like machine that indicated his pressure points, and the proper for for him. (I could sleep on a rock, but he NEEDS the right fit.) Kim and Tim showed us the mattresses that would suit his needs, shared their information, and WALKED AWAY. They gave us plenty of space to discuss and lay around on beds to get a better feel for them. We made our determination, and bought the mattress cover that helps us ensure we can hold onto the 6 month satisfaction guarantee! Kim did a great job, and we will visit the store again to see the furniture and other items we may need for our new home!

I stopped by the store for the first time on Friday the 15th, January 2021. A friend of mine mentioned that she had gotten her couch there, and that she received it within days. Jake greeted me with a very warm and welcoming smile, and his positivity and openess made me feel very comfortable. I returned on the 18th and was happy to see Jake again. We were in search of a new comfortable couch and a mattress so we decided to go to Ashley Furniture to see what we could find. Our salesperson, Mary was very helpful as she listened to what we needed and wanted. She helped us find the perfect couch and mattress which was a hard feat since we both had very differing personal opinions on the mattress. We even found a coffee table we liked and we both left very happy.

Ashley Home Store in Barboursville is a great place to shop! They have high quality furniture, and each time we have made a purchase we have been completely satisfied with the product and the service. The salespeople are friendly and helpful without making you feel pressured. Mary was very knowledgeable about all of the products we were looking for and kept checking back with us while we browsed. The store was busier than usual and she was able to juggle multiple repeat customers. All of the staff were great... and they liked our dog!

Chris approached me as soon as I walked in and was very helpful. I haven’t been to the Ashley HomeStore in years . Very pleased with the selection. Much better and much better knowledgeable sales person. The last time I was there I had a very hard time getting assistance.
We furnished our entire home from Ashley and had a great experience. We have since moved and planned to furnish our new home through them also, however this time has been anything but great and our first purchase for furnishing the new home will probably be our last. We purchased a couch on sept 6 with the possibility of a 16 week wait which we felt was a little extra long but we were willing to wait. I was told to check in around 8 weeks as they didn’t expect it to take the full 16 weeks. I called to check in, no call from anyone from Ashley, it’s been 10 weeks. I was told my couch wasn’t expected now to arrive until January 30th. This couch has been paid for since sept 6. A fill in manager at the barboursville store was unable to help as he was “too busy with customers” at the time of my call. I understand he is filling in and it really isn’t his fault given he is filling in and walked into this situation that was clearly not handled by the manager at the time but when you purchase a piece of furniture and just keep getting told “call this number” or “there’s not much we can do” it’s a little frustrating. Feels like they have our money so we aren’t a priority anymore. We will be finding another furniture store probably to finishing furnishing our new home unfortunately. We have always liked Ashley but the customer support has not been great.

Mary Halstead from barboursville was wonderful to work with. This was my first purchase with Ashley Home Stores. After having a bad experience with a another local well known furniture store (Big Sandy Super Sore) where we placed an order within 60 days was lied to 3 different times on the location of my item and when I finally pushed them in an answer then was told it was on back order till March, on top of that was non apologetic and acted offended that I was upset. Mary was very helpful and honest, not to mention the Quality was way better and I will receive my item in 30 days or less. I will now shop nowhere else but there.
The scheduled time slot for our delivery was between 1:15 and 4:15. I was outside when I heard the truck coming down the road, looked at my watch and it was exactly 1:15. Pretty spectacular punctuality. Guys were quick and professional unloading and handling the order.

My visit at the Ashkey Home Store was more than I had expected. Mary the associate that waited on us was very professional and informative. Went into Ashley furniture with an open mind not really knowing exactly what we wanted. We met Chris who showed us around to the sets that would match and look great in our home after we shared our color ideas. Not a single time did I feel he was pushy or just after a sale. He gave us our space after we viewed the options we were interested in and that meant a lot to us as most other stores follow you around and practically try and shove sales down your throat, he even offered us bottled water before parting in that moment. He was amazing. I will be returning at some point for more shopping and will most definitely be requesting him. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for their next furniture Purchase. My family purchased several pieces of furniture 3 months ago. We are waiting on one piece to come in still. I have called to see if we could get a partial delivery/update on delivery and all 4 times am met with "This needs to be discussed with the manager and we will get back with you." I've never received a return call from the manager and every time I call back the manager is not available. We have been charged for the furniture that is not sitting at our house and I can't get anyone to take care of this without a manager. I understand things are delayed because of Covid, but please have the decency to return a phone call when you say you will. And don't charge of for something we do not have in our home. I doubt we will be returning customers once we get this furniture. Go some where with better customer service.

We didn't arrive until near closing, but he didn't rush us, but took time to make sure he answered all of our questions. It goes without saying, we purchased the 4 couches. My husband and I went to Ashley Furniture near the Huntington Mall on July 21 to help my 91 year old mother purchase a lift chair. She found one she liked, but there were none in stock but our salesperson Terri Kunze, said there were 4 due in the last week of August and she would put my mom's name on one. My mother paid for the chair and we left. On August 26, I called Terri and she said delivery had been pushed back 2 weeks and the chair should be in on Sep. 10. She said she would speak with her manager to see what could be done for my mother to make up for the delay. I waited a couple of days to hear from her, she never called, so I call her again. I told her she had said she would call me after she spoke with her manager, but that I hadn't heard from here. She starts telling this story about she had a friend staying with her who had fallen and hurt herself and that she had just been over-whelmed trying to care for her friend. etc. She put me on hold and a few minutes later came back and said they could offer my mom free delivery or give her a 100.00 gift card. She told me that the chair would not delivered on the day it came in because the warehouse does all the scheduling for deliveries, so we decided to take the gift card. She promised she would call me the day after Labor Day as she gets a report on Tuesdays that tells them when shipments are arriving and she would keep me up-dated. On Sept. 10, my husband was in the area where their warehouse is and stopped by to see what he could find out. We had not heard from Terri. The man at the warehouse checked and said the chair would be in on Saturday, that he had looked on the manifest and it was on there. On Saturday, Sept. 12, we called the warehouse, the chair was in, and we went to pick it up to deliver it to my Mother. On the way, I called Terri and told her we had picked up the chair, even tho she hadn't, again, bothered to call us to let us know it was in. She said she had called the warehouse and they had told her we had been there to pick it up. I tried to explain to her that we were not impressed with the customer service we rec'd,, that twice she had promised to call me,and hadn't. She said she had called the warehouse and found out we had already been there to pick it up, so there was basically no reason for her to call us. I told her she was missing the point, that the first time she didn't call, we would not have even known the chair was going to be delayed 2 weeks, had I not called her. Then she didn't call to let us know it was in, and that she had assured me she would call me! She said she didn't remember telling me that!!! I called back and asked to speak with the manager! I was on hold for over 10 minutes when the operators came back on and said he was with someone and could he call me back? I asked her why it took almost 11 minutes for her to find that out! As we were going right by the exit where the store is, we decided to stop and go in to speak with the manager. We met with Nathan Boggess, and my husband explained everything that had transpired since the day we bought the chair. He apologized & tried to assure us this was not the way she should have handled it, that she should have called us, and that he would be speaking with her. Terri could not have been any nicer the day we were there and bought the chair. But it proves what I've heard all my life, that after the sale is made, there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Go elsewhere!!!

As we were going right by the exit where the store is, we decided to stop and go in to speak with the manager. We met with Nathan Boggess, and my husband explained everything that had transpired since the day we bought the chair. He apologized & tried to assure us this was not the way she should have handled it, that she should have called us, and that he would be speaking with her.Terri could not have been any nicer the day we were there and bought the chair. But it proves what I&'ve heard all my life, that after the sale is made, there is NO CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!Go elsewhere!!!
My husband and I went to Ashley Furniture near the Huntington Mall on July 21 to help my 91 year old mother purchase a lift chair. She found one she liked, but there were none in stock but our salesperson Terri Kunze, said there were 4 due in the last week of August and she would put my mom's name on one. My mother paid for the chair and we left. On August 26, I called Terri and she said delivery had been pushed back 2 weeks and the chair should be in on Sep. 10. She said she would speak with her manager to see what could be done for my mother to make up for the delay. I waited a couple of days to hear from her, she never called, so I call her again. I told her she had said she would call me after she spoke with her manager, but that I hadn't heard from here. She starts telling this story about she had a friend staying with her who had fallen and hurt herself and that she had just been over-whelmed trying to care for her friend. etc. She put me on hold and a few minutes later came back and said they could offer my mom free delivery or give her a 100.00 gift card. She told me that the chair would not delivered on the day it came in because the warehouse does all the scheduling for deliveries, so we decided to take the gift card.She promised she would call me the day after Labor Day as she gets a report on Tuesdays that tells them when shipments are arriving and she would keep me up-dated.On Sept. 10, my husband was in the area where their warehouse is and stopped by to see what he could find out. We had not heard from Terri. The man at the warehouse checked and said the chair would be in on Saturday, that he had looked on the manifest and it was on there.On Saturday, Sept. 12, we called the warehouse, the chair was in, and we went to pick it up to deliver it to my Mother. On the way, I called Terri and told her we had picked up the chair, even tho she hadn't, again, bothered to call us to let us know it was in. She said she had called the warehouse and they had told her we had been there to pick it up. I tried to explain to her that we were not impressed with the customer service we rec'd,, that twice she had promised to call me,and hadn't. She said she had called the warehouse and found out we had already been there to pick it up, so there was basically no reason for her to call us. I told her she was missing the point, that the first time she didn't call, we would not have even known the chair was going to be delayed 2 weeks, had I not called her. I ordered a recliner June 3rd. Of course, due to the pandemic there was a delay of 6 weeks in delivery. I received notice that my chair was in and would be delivered July 12. Ashley then notified me that the wrong chair was sent and mine would need to be reordered. The chair was a birthday present. I would have taken the chair that was sent, but was never given the option. That chair was put on the display floor and sold that same day before I could contact them to say I would take it. Now I'm trying to see if I can either get my chair delivery expedited or cancel the order and I'm getting the runaround by the store staff. Very poor customer service.
Recently I ventured into this establishment not knowing much about decorating, just knowing that empty space needed to be filled. Luckily upon entering your establishment not only was that able to be accomplished but it was done in a timely manner with the help of Kayla. She not only was kind but she asked questions but gave great advice to help make the process go smoothly. All without being pushy just to make a sale. Buyer Beware! June 2019, ordered a leather couch and (2) recliners. Two months later still awaiting delivery of a couch that has arrived twice and damaged both times. Final couch arrived with another tear. Too much money spent for this to repeatedly keep happening with no follow-up from customer service. Will NEVER do business with Ashley Furniture again.

I placed my order for a sectional 1 decorative chair, two twin size beds and 2 dressers to match. The lady who helped me assured that my items would be in around 4 weeks, but most likely before that. This was back in February and I still don't have all of my times. I got some of the things I ordered only because I kept calling.it cane in on 4/8. I called today to see if they were coming soon, and the person who answered the phone today said not until May 1rst.

I used to work at a high end furniture store and customer service is so important. This store has outgoing folks and there is no pressure to buy. I have purchased quite a few items from this particular branch and they are great. The home delivery guys are great too. I had a bad experience with my daughters delivery with Sandy Superstore in OH, the delivery guys didn't smile, and were upset with the placement arrangement of where my daughter wanted the sectional to go. We will never use them again. Should have gone to Ashley FIRST!!!
Ordered a bedroom suit November 4th. It was delivered on November 24th. Head board and night stand where broke when delivered. Called Mary my sales person and she told me I would have to call Nitro. I called several times and left several messages and did not get a return call. On December 4th I finally got a hold of Darcy and I was told they would have to order a new headboard and nightstand. The headboard was delivered on January 4th. and a Technician came out to fix the night stand. Delivery guy knocked my picture off the wall and broke it. Technician replaced the rails on my nightstand and still would not close. Once again called Nitro and at this time they are going to order a night stand. Called on February 5th to see if my night stand had came in and I was told it was there. I told them I would pick it up because I could not miss anymore work for delivery. February 12th went to pick up night stand and I was told if I didn't have the broken night stand I could not pick it up. I told her I wasn't leaving with out it and I didn't. I have called the Store Manager several times and have never received a phone call. I have never been apologized for anything that has happened. I ordered this bedroom suite on November 4th. 100 days later I have all my pieces and now have to figure out how to get night stand out of my car after paying a delivery fee of $129.00 Had my son and law come take the night stand out of the car. Finish on the molding is peeling. I give up... I paid over $2,000 for this bedroom suite I have never experienced anything like this ever.

I will never patronize another of the Ashely stores because of the incompetence of this Barboursville location. We ordered our furniture in Nov. (an entire new home of furniture) under the guarantee of the salesperson that it would be delivered the first Thursday of December. When that did not occur she again assured us it would be the first Thursday of Jan. The warehouse informed us that was impossible and they had not heard from the store. The sales person, Terri, then became extremely rude. We saved all her text message lies for reference. Luckily, the warehouse manager planned a special trip the following week. However, the wrong piece was sent. The delivery guy took photos and submitted. They rescheduled the correct delivery for today. (Almost a month later) AGAIN they sent the wrong piece. The delivery guy called this time and the lady laughed and said "oh now I remember, that was my fault" all while laughing. I left messages for the manager to find when this would be remedied and did not receive a return call. I will certainly be telling everyone of my experience. As a lifetime Ashley furniture customer I vow to NEVER use their services again. It’s now almost February and the incompetent Ashley of Barboursville has still yet to deliver my correct order. I don’t understand how this location is still operating with this level of inadequate customer service.

After spending over $7000 in this store in the last 3 years, the manager refused to honor the online advertised price for two measly mattresses because they weren't making money on them. Had a much better experience at this location than at the Charleston location. Jen Schreiber was truly amazing and came through when we thought all hope was lost and was ready to throw in the towel. She made purchasing our sectional painless and quick. She was sure to tell us all of the details before we made a decision. If we would’ve talked to anyone else, I’m really unsure if the purchase would’ve happened. Thanks again Jen!
Eryka Hernandez was our sales professional that assisted my husband and me in the purchase of our new bed. Eryka was helpful but allowed us space to explore different mattresses offered in your showroom. She analyzed our body type and recommended the correct bed we would need as a couple. That process made the selection easier—we just looked at the “3” options. Her kindness and patience speaks volumes when one is attempting to make a good mattress fit and purchase. Bought a Temperpedic bed there last week love it! Got a great deal. Going to pay it off in 90 days them go back and get the Bedroom suit. Erica helped me . She was great! the next day when I came back Erica was off work and the older woman with red hair helped me. . she was great also. I cannot remember her name though for the life of me.
Great experience buying a living room suite - right before Christmas 2019. Matched online prices, and the sales person was very helpful. Started out looking at Lazy-Boy but ended up at Ashley's on a wim. Had to wait on delivery but it went so smooth that I had to write this review. Received my deliver date and text messages confirming times and they showed up exactly when they said. The young fellows were very professional and our home was back to normal in no time. Best of all both my wife and I love the style - perfect for our home👍

HORRIBLE service at this store. Was told at the time of purchase that I would be contacted within 7 days with info about delivery. I had to call myself and was told the couch would be in in 3 days and they would call. They didn't. I called on the 4th day and was able to schedule delivery. Was told on delivery day the driver would call to schedule a time. The day before delivery an automated call came in telling me the time they would be there, which did not work because no one would be home. When I called to see about changing the time, the representative at the store was rude from the time she picked up the phone. She told me they couldn't change it because a computer assigns the time of delivery. ??? Does anyone know what's going on at this store or do they just tell people things to appease them. Also, if I'm giving you my business and paying for the delivery as well, I should at least be able to chose a time that is convenient for it to be delivered. Poor business and horrible service. I ordered a piece of furniture in from the Lexington, KY store to be delivered to a family member there and they were able to tell me the day and time it would be delivered at the moment of purchase, which was 3 days later, not weeks.
Adam was friendly and very helpful. He was patient and answered all our questions. We visited two other furniture stores and none came close to the quality and price that Ashley Homestore offered. Ask for Adam for assistance with your furniture purchase.

Absolute junk. Don't buy anything front here. The delivery people broke a picture frame and took a chunk out of my hardwood floors. And the "wood" dresser and bed started to peel like wrapping paper the day it was delivered. Returned this trash. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere to start with.

My fiance and I went to Ashley Furniture HomeStore on Monday, May 27, 2019 to order a new couch we saw online. We spoke with Jen regarding some delivery questions we had. She was very helpful and informed us she wanted to speak to the person over delivery about our concerns prior to ordering, so all the information she gave was accurate. For this we were very appreciative. She gave us her cell phone number so we could text her any other questions we had. We returned to the store on Wednesday and she helped us order the couch and was absolutely wonderful during the whole process. As we were leaving she made sure to let us know if we needed anything further to contact her using the number she previously gave us. We had a great experience.

We purchased a couch from this location. Jen the manager was helpful and even gave her cell number to keep in contact. After they received payment, that’s when the open communication stopped. She had promised to follow up at the end of the week, never did. I never received a call from the distribution center once the couch arrived. Once I called and scheduled delivery, the wrong piece was delivered. Now, it’s been over a month since I bought the couch and still do not have what I originally ordered. I’ve texted and made calls to Jen and still haven’t received any feedback from her. It’s just frustrating. I understand mixups happen, but the customer service has been disappointing. I still have no date as to when I’ll get the correct piece to my set. This will be the last purchase I make from Ashley furniture. Very disappointed.

Awful quality. We bought a sofa that fell apart twice in first month. Fought to return it. Took 3 months. Gave another chance, bought sofa, started falling apart in first week. They will take back 1/2 set. Only the broken sofa. Not loveseat. Bought bed, foot board broke off. No more Ashley garbage furniture!

Rachel and Becky were phenomenal! I had my heart set on a farm house style living room, and after just leaving another local furniture store I never in a million years thought a sectional was something we could afford. But Rachel proved me wrong! We walked out with not only a sectional couch but a recliner, a entertainment center, with a coffee table and end tables (all under the price I would have paid for ONE sectional) Rachel was not “pushy” and she never hovered over us while we made the big decisions.
