I purchased 4 pieces of furniture 7 weeks ago. I called the store to see if they could track it. They told me 2 pieces were at warehouse and the other 2 were scheduled to be there in a couple of days. I waited another week and a half and still nothing. I called the store again and the lady looked it up and said its all been in the warehouse and not sure why I wasn't notified. So I called the warehouse and was told it just now got there. Not sure which to believe. So now I have to wait another 2 weeks for it to be delivered. Not sure why it took so long when online it says if purchased online its delivered in 2 weeks. I'm glad I decided to call them again on I have a feeling it would've been several more weeks before I was notified, if at all.

This was my first time buying a couch, and I had a great experience at Ashley Furniture!! The entire team and their manager are all very nice, and nobody was pushy at all, which I really appreciate and love! I was helped by Alesha Ramsey, and she is sincerely such a gem!!! Her personality is great with how personable, nice, professional, and knowledgeable she is, and she did a fabulous job with helping me pick out my couch!! She was very attentive when listening to what I told her I liked and didn't like, and while we walked around the store she took into consideration which couches I was pointing out that I did or didn't like and the reasons why, and she did a fantastic job at making recommendations and truly helping me find my perfect couch!! Upon Alesha's recommendation, I also chose to get the 4 year protection plan that Ashley offers, and that also really sold me on buying from them. I highly recommend going to Ashley and asking for Alesha!!!

I was looking for a replacement King sized mattress for the 14 year old one that I had. I got the name off of my mattress and discovered that Ashley was the only store that carried my mattress brand. Hey, it lasted 14 years trouble free!! I had no complaints. Upon walking into the store my wife and I met Greg Winters the salesman for Ashley. Greg was very personable and also very knowledgeable about Kingsized mattresses and the different varieties and manufacturers. He didn't at any time try to "push" me toward a specific mattress because of the price of the mattress. He explained the facts and that was it. In the end we decided on a Beauty Rest mattress because of a number of comparisons that Greg made for me. We had looked at mattresses in several of the leading mattress stores and although Greg appeared very informed he never tried to "steer me" toward any specific mattress. We worked out a deal for the Beauty Rest which actually worked in my interest, not the stores, for my satisfaction, not the stores and pretty soon we had a deal! I obviously don't have a clue how all of this is going to end up except to say that if it goes bad Ashley fixed it so I won't lose a thing and if It's all good then it'll be another 14 years before I purchase another mattress. Either way I'll update this rating. We'll, maybe not if its 14 years.... ;-).

Ive placed 2 order through Ashley. The 2-3 weeks they say it will take for delivery turns into 4 then 5 then we dont have it in stock. Both times I had to contact them and ask why they kept delaying the delivery. I ended up not getting either item after 3 months of waiting. Just stay away and go buy somewhere else unless you want an empty house and lots of waiting on hold to talk to a rep. Edit: order delayed yet again. Contacted Ashley to find out why... haven't received an answer.

Shopping as Ashley Furniture was very easy. Our sales person was Ed Meadows. He was very knowledgeable about the furniture we were inquiring about.He worked with us giving us various combinations of coffee tables and end tables. If we buy furniture in the future he will be the one we ask for.

my bed frame took 2.5 weeks longer than they told me it would and provided no compensation and the lady on the phone gave attitude when i asked how much longer it would be. now they won’t answer my calls and it’s time to pick it up for the third time.

Purchased a sectional in store no financing. Was apologized to in advance that it would take about 5 weeks. Received no follow up with tracking or update when delivery would happen until calling myself middle of November. Was told one piece was still not available and would have to wait until end of November. I was originally informed they would ship everything available by first week of November and I scheduled my work around this. I was apologized to and told they would call back before noon that day after they pull some strings that could expedite my delivery. Never received a callback. Started this review and received the reply below but week and a half no callback. Sectional arrived end of November missing legs for the corner wedge. I was told by the manager of this store that I will be contacted next day to schedule delivery of the missing legs. Took a few days to receive the callback but new legs got ordered. Early January technician came to drill in missing legs. Technician mistakenly thought the wedge was manufactured wrong because there were no pre-drilled holes and said we needed to replace the wedge with new one. I told him that is confusing because the other pieces of the couch were also not pre-drilled holes. I pointed out that the replacement legs liked like the wrong ones. They went with ordering new wedge. Will give credit that they got it to me in 3 days but I was pretty verbally frustrated at that point so they made a better effort. New wedge arrived 1/10 and confirmed that they do not have pre-drilled holes in these wedges. Unfortunately, the new one also didn’t come with the legs. I did proceed with a BBB complaint at this point and spoke again with the store manager. Although I was fed up, we talked it out and the manager went out of his way after his shift today with the legs from their store model and installed them himself. It took a couple months longer than expected with many headaches and mishaps but their manager Nate went above his regular duties to take care of this. Appreciative of that. Rating updated to neutral from 1 star and will be closing the BBB complaint.

Very horrible service. I called off work to wait for delivery. I called to check on it. For them to tell me that the delivery was rescheduled for September 13 with no email or anything saying this. Prior to this i needed some soon as I dont have furniture in my home 1 month and 3 weeks out was the next delivery time. When I said I needed it soon as possible. Was willing to find a different chair to make it happen sooner. Im canceling everything with them.

We bought out couch and loveseat in July of 2024. We loved it at first, but started having some issues. The cover broke off the recliner buttons, none of the USB ports work anymore, one of the recliners have started having a rip in, and stains from outlr kids as well. But no problem, we purchases the warranty for $400 that said they would take care of it. They won't cover anything!!! They said the damage was too extensive. I understand not covering the stains because of children, but the other things were manufacturing issues. DO NOT BUY THE WARRANTY! IT IS A SCAM!

We recently purchased a couch and chair from Ashley. The buying experience in the store was excellent—our salesman, Ed, was amazing. He was knowledgeable, low-pressure, and genuinely helpful. He made the process smooth and stress-free. Delivery was estimated at four weeks, and it arrived right on time, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the delivery experience fell far short of the in-store service. The delivery crew had poor attitudes and were visibly unprofessional. They didn’t bring the right tools to complete the assembly and asked to use ours. Even worse, they unwrapped the sofa outside, dragged it across our yard, and tracked in dirt without cleaning it. They also damaged plants on our front porch in the process. While we’re happy with the furniture itself and Ed’s outstanding service, the delivery experience really took away from the overall satisfaction. We'd highly recommend the store staff, but Ashley needs to seriously improve their delivery standards.

Ed did a great job of assisting us today when in the store. He greeted me immediately and just let me look around without any pressure. Once I found a kitchen table set I was interested in, I left the store to bring my wife in who was shopping a few doors down. Hovered he not! Winters of my discontent, nay I say! I purchased my first living room suit in 37 years of marriage. It was scary for me. I entered the store and expressed my preferences to Greg Winters. He immediately showed me which area of the store to peruse. And he did the best thing a salesman can do. He let me be. Ten minutes later I asked for some care info on a set I found. He was knowledgeable and kind and helpful in every area including delivery. I left the store within a half hour delighted I did not need to shop anywhere else. Mr. Winters is a blessing! Thanks to whoever hired him.

We went to Aahley furniture in search of a sectional. The store in barboursville was clean and had a friendly atmosphere. Our sales associate was Jamie Dunfee. Super nice and very helpful. He helped us find what we were looking for and we purchased one that day. March 5 2025 with a delivery date of March 28. Delivery date came and went. With a promise from the distribution center of a week longer. Delivery came and we got part of the sectional with one piece missing and one piece incorrectly ordered. Two more weeks went by and we finally got the rest of our order. Delivery guys were awesome. Very nice and polite and we had no issue with them. The only thing I had issue with was having to call the distribution center and schedule my own delivery. The lady that I spoke too wasn't helpful and gave me the impression she could care less if we got our order or not. She acted annoyed that I even called. I actually dreaded dialing that number. End result we got the sectional we ordered and we love it. I will shop again but maybe I will request that my sales associate handle the delivery scheduling part.

The people that work at Ashley are super nice and helpful. The furniture I have bought from there has been wonderful quality. however they do not tell you the price difference of online and in store can be hundreds of dollars in difference. Do your research and be careful. Make sure you follow up with their online pricing and have them match it bc everything is marked way up in store and if you don’t know to look online they will let you pay hundreds more for the mark up price even with a “sale”. Just doesn’t seem right to me.

Updated: Unhappy with Ashley in Barboursville. Purchased entire Living Room suit, when delivered the loveseat has dirty hand prints on it. Driver documented and took photos, said would turn in, did not, we never heard anything back. We have called, We have went to Store, lady at desk did not listen to nothing we said, was too busy looking for something. Finally said would go get Manager, he was “supposedly” on phone and would be out, never came out and never called us. She took down all info and said they would most likely order new loveseat and that Manager would call us, Never did. So we have been waiting on new loveseat to show up, and nothing. Called again, Lady said we have no record of that, and big surprise, Manager unavailable again. We said that we need for him to call us that day, and not a word. We are done with this Barboursville store, once they get your money, they are done. We will be going elsewhere for any future purchases. Attn: store owner who answers these posts, do not say, oh we are sorry, please call to discuss….. No, we have done that, we have came in, we have called, Nobody at Ashley cares.

I went to Ashley Furniture to look at mattresses and Mia helped me pick out a very comfortable mattress at a fantastic price. Mia was so helpful and friendly, and provided much better service than I've ever received at Big Sandy. I'll be going directly back to Mia at Ashley Furniture next time I'm looking for furniture. Update: Mia stressed that it could take a few months to settle into a mattress and convinced me to buy the Love Your Mattress plan so I could return it within six months if I needed. I didn't expect to use it, but four months in, the mattress was no longer working for my back. I returned to the store to purchase the new mattress I had picked, and Marcus helped me order the replacement. He was very friendly and helpful, and he got me in and out of the store in about half an hour. I now have two great experiences at Ashley and will return for any furniture needs.

We were so impressed with Mia, that we returned recently ready to purchase and asked her her specifically. She worked with us to find the items we needed at a great price. While I appreciate folks making a sale, Mia was about building a relationship and trust for future purchases. I appreciate that and wish there were more of this when looking to make larger purchases.

Marcus Coney greeted me the minute I entered the store, he wanted to help me but I just wanted to browse and he respected that and left me alone. When I wanted to ask him some questions he was right there, this is very important to me because I like to concentrate and be able to think about my home space. Marcus was the most polite salesman I have ever encountered. The one thing I can say is you better not lose him or you’ll definitely see a difference, courtesy is way under appreciated yet everyone expects it! He met my husband the next day and was just as courteous to him. We are 70 and 71 years old and he renewed our faith in young people!
