Anthony at the Barboursville location is top notch. He walked us through so many options for recliners. He knew that we needed it quick for a move and helped us find the chair that would fit our needs. Anthony was so charismatic and could light up any room that he walked in. The people that work at Ashley are super nice and helpful. The furniture I have bought from there has been wonderful quality. however they do not tell you the price difference of online and in store can be hundreds of dollars in difference. Do your research and be careful. Make sure you follow up with their online pricing and have them match it bc everything is marked way up in store and if you don’t know to look online they will let you pay hundreds more for the mark up price even with a “sale”. Just doesn’t seem right to me.

Jamie is one of the most helpful people I have ever met. He's friendly and funny and really knows what he's doing. The whole team seems very competent from what I've seen. I tend to be very particular and Jamie was kind and patient and encouraged me to find what I really wanted rather than trying to just make a sale. This store in Barboursville wv is top notch. Ashley has become my only furnituHer patience re store. The first time I went, looking for a dresser, I was going to spend $500 on that dresser. The salesman showed me a bedroom set, on clearance for the same price with 2 dressers. His kindness about this sold me on your store. To date I have purchased a couch and a motorized recliner. I called and spoke to Rachel a number of times. Her patience with me was exemplary. She was kind and showed me several options and I chose the best choice for my needs. Updated: Unhappy with Ashley in Barboursville. Purchased entire Living Room suit, when delivered the loveseat has dirty hand prints on it. Driver documented and took photos, said would turn in, did not, we never heard anything back. We have called, We have went to Store, lady at desk did not listen to nothing we said, was too busy looking for something. Finally said would go get Manager, he was “supposedly” on phone and would be out, never came out and never called us. She took down all info and said they would most likely order new loveseat and that Manager would call us, Never did. So we have been waiting on new loveseat to show up, and nothing. Called again, Lady said we have no record of that, and big surprise, Manager unavailable again. We said that we need for him to call us that day, and not a word. We are done with this Barboursville store, once they get your money, they are done. We will be going elsewhere for any future purchases. Attn: store owner who answers these posts, do not say, oh we are sorry, please call to discuss….. No, we have done that, we have came in, we have called, Nobody at Ashley cares.

Ordered furniture 7 weeks ago was told be in no longer 3 weeks. Called today and will be another 2. Everytime we call they keep saying nextweek. Do not buy from this store if you want your furniture anytime within next couple months

I went to Ashley Furniture to look at mattresses and Mia helped me pick out a very comfortable mattress at a fantastic price. Mia was so helpful and friendly, and provided much better service than I've ever received at Big Sandy. I'll be going directly back to Mia at Ashley Furniture next time I'm looking for furniture. Update: Mia stressed that it could take a few months to settle into a mattress and convinced me to buy the Love Your Mattress plan so I could return it within six months if I needed. I didn't expect to use it, but four months in, the mattress was no longer working for my back. I returned to the store to purchase the new mattress I had picked, and Marcus helped me order the replacement. He was very friendly and helpful, and he got me in and out of the store in about half an hour. I now have two great experiences at Ashley and will return for any furniture needs.

We visited Ashley Furniture today to choose a few pieces we need for our new house build. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by Greg Winters. We remembered him from our last visit. We didn’t make a purchase that day but his kindness made an impact so we were happy to see him again. Greg asked us a few questions and as soon as we told him our theme we had in mind, he knew exactly where every piece was on the sales floor. He was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all of our questions. Believe me, we asked a ton of questions! He stayed with us patiently for 3-4 hours while we made some decisions. Came to Ashley furniture looking for 2 matching recliners. I was greeted by Mia. She directed us to recliner section of store and then we started testing them out. Mia gave us time to ourselves to decide and was not pushy. She came back to check on us and after talking with her and taking her advice, I decided on a loveseat with recliners on each end. Now that it was delivered today it fits in the room perfect. I will definitely come back if I need anything in the future. Great prices, Great service and great experience!

Marcus Coney greeted me the minute I entered the store, he wanted to help me but I just wanted to browse and he respected that and left me alone. When I wanted to ask him some questions he was right there, this is very important to me because I like to concentrate and be able to think about my home space. Marcus was the most polite salesman I have ever encountered. The one thing I can say is you better not lose him or you’ll definitely see a difference, courtesy is way under appreciated yet everyone expects it! He met my husband the next day and was just as courteous to him. We are 70 and 71 years old and he renewed our faith in young people!

I’ve been in the market for a mattress for quite some time. My search led me to my local Ashley store, after I had been to several other stores in the area. My salesperson, Tawanna was my saving grace. She used a sleep diagnostic machine that told her exactly what type of mattress that would help me get a great nights sleep. She was so helpful and kind, and so was everyone else! I was able to get the mattress I’ve always needed, at the best price in the area hands down. I would definitely recommend Tawanna and the helpful folks at Ashley for your mattress needs!

I visited Ashley today in hopes to finding a new couch I had found online. I was greeted by Tawanna at the entrance whom made the process absolutely fabulous. I showed her the picture online and she took me straight to it. After deciding I wanted to purchase the couch she discussed deals, warranties, and how to apply for credit. Tawanna was extremely helpful and friendly! If you are in search of new furniture I would recommend going to Ashley and shopping with Tawanna!

During the purchasing process I felt like I was dealing with an old used car salesman. We decided to go with the purchase since we liked the furnishings we chose. The prices at the end seemed higher than originally quoted, and we're still waiting on our furniture. We believe we were told two weeks, but now we're told the warehouse will have it at four weeks and then we arrange delivery. We're not likely to shop Ashley again.

We went in to look and ended buying a bed thst needed to be ordered, we were assured it would take 2-3 weeks. I explained we needed the bed prior to Christmas Day. We were told it would arrive in time. I understand things happen and around the Holidays things can also get delayed. It was delayed, twice and I was given different dates every time I called. My headboard and foundation had been delivered but nothing else and I was told multiple different dates for arrival for the rest of the bed. After calling a few times we were finally offered additional bed. Nothing like the one we ordered. We were still charged $700 for the foundation we ordered for the original bed we purchased. It does not for this bed and this bed is not meant to have a foundation. Now we have a bed that’s almost 4’ high for a child. I was definitely misled and the sales associate did not help with many options or bother sharing that the foundation did not fit the bed she offered for replacement. So, we paid $1,200 for a much cheaper quality bed and a $700 foundation that we cannot use. We are looking for other furniture for our house and do not recommend going here. Though, I must give credit to the Nitro location as they were eager and ready to help as soon as we called. Do not recommend the Barboursville store.

I came into Ashley to look at a bedroom suite and possibly some couches. As usual, I was approached by a sales staff to see if I needed help. Like most people just browsing, I responded that I was just looking. Mia (Bragg) asked what I was looking for, and took me to look at several bedroom suites. She asked what I liked about the ones I was meh to, and what I disliked. After four sets, she took me to look at my eventual purchase, and it fit perfectly as to what I wanted. She was the perfect mix of listening to what I actually wanted, and took me to exactly what I was looking for before I even knew what it was. She made the ordering process simple, and had the perfect mix of humor and seriousness that made me feel at ease. I would definitely recommend asking for her!

Ashley store in Barboursville, WV has been great to work with over the years! We have made multiple purchases there and always work with Mary Halstead if possible. Recently we had some trouble with a sofa we bought roughly 2 years ago. I called to see what could be done and found out my 1 year warranty had expired and we chose not to add the extended warranty. I was sure we would have to repair or replace the sofa ourselves. I spoke with Mary who said she would see what they could do. Honestly I didn't expect much but to my surprise I was shipped all new materials for the sofa and a tech came out to fix it. We only had to pay a reasonable fee for the labor. I was thoroughly impressed! Being happy with a sales experience is common enough but the true test is when there is a problem after the sale. Ashley Store went above and beyond to help us and Mary Halstead is the best!! Thank you!

Tim was fantastic! The day my husband and I went to buy a mattress, we told him exactly what we wanted and he had us try it out. Since we liked it, he did not push any other mattresses on us which I truly appreciated because I hate pushy sales people. The only thing I didn’t like was having to wait an entire month for delivery, but that’s because I’m impatient lol.
My husband and I had a great experience with our local Ashley Furniture Store!! We were welcomed in the store, asked a few key questions, and then asked if we needed assistance to find what we wanted or would like to look on our own. We chose the latter. We found the perfect sofa for us. We were contacted for a delivery schedule. The date was set. Last Friday (this is Monday), we received a call and text confirming the delivery window. About 20 minutes ago, I got a text with a 10 minute window and within 5 minutes they were here. It was just delivered about 10 minutes ago. That was also a great experience. The guys didn’t complain when I asked them to take off their shoes (we just had the carpets cleaned Thursday), they simply brought it in, set it up, and even took out their own trash. I LOVE IT!!!! 🥰🥰🥰
It was all in all a pretty great experience.. BUT no one told us we had to buy a box spring separately so now we have to go get one before we can even sleep on our new bed.

Found our chairs, snagged an employee, asked about a price break on multiple items and we were told there was nothing they could do because of the tag color? No worries. Got home and I got asked if I taken a photo of the chairs and I didn’t so we jumped on the website —— wouldn’t you know the exact chair online was $300 less…. called the store, said come back in and we’ll credit you the difference, the website does weird things sometimes. So no harm, no foul. The credit was $631.00. Our bill went from $1,9xx to $1,2xx. Do yourself a favor and price check your items on the website before checking out because no one else will, might save you some money.

Received the products but the couch had 2 stripped bolts so can't use until Ashley gets it fixed. Delivery personnel notified the company of the pre-existing damaged part. Told us we would be notified of resolution to problem within a half hour.

The furniture was exactly what we wanted. However, it was delivered several weeks (6) after first date given for delivery. Then, when it finally was delivered the legs were not with the dresser and have to be mailed to us so we have to lift heavy furniture and finish ourselves. The delivery and set up guys were great.

100% recommend our sells associate Tim was amazing he done everything he could to make sure we got what we were looking for. The delivery team was great. They showed up early and ready to get things done. They was in an out within 20 minutes. Got my furniture set up exactly how I wanted it, hooked everything up, made sure all the electronics worked properly, even wiped my furniture down for me before leaving.

Overpriced furniture.
We ordered a couch that they didn’t have in store. When it was delivered we were less than satisfied with our purchase. Our salesperson Rachel went above and beyond to makes us happy customers. We called about a specific mattress just to see if they had it in stock so we didn’t have to order it offline and was told their system said 2 were on display and the salesperson said “which is a lie because we don’t” and then one in the back but they didn’t see it anywhere. So she said she would ask the manager the next day if it was misplaced. They called us later that day before they closed and said they had found it. My husband waited two hours until they opened in town the next morning after getting off work to go pick it up and they couldn’t find it...again. We showed them the voicemail of the salesperson saying they found it and everything thinking maybe they would check and see if she put it somewhere separate to hold it and nothing. Mistakes happen but to get the literal run around like that is ridiculous. So, stock seems to be ill kept and I hope they can keep track of items better in the future.
Rachel was awesome. She let me shop at my leisure. I never felt pressured or like someone was standing over my shoulder the whole time.She answered questions. When I brought my husband to look at the final product, she took her time and answered his questions. Very pleasant.

Bought a nice sectional with delivery and couldn’t get it to fit through to my basement. Therefore, I had to find a replacement with specific measurements and Tyler Francis went above and beyond to help me not only find something with those specific measurements I had to work with, but also found it at basically the same price of my original purchase. Can't say enough how helpful Adam was with the purchase our bed for a guest bedroom. We had family coming to stay for Christmas and needed a low cost bed quick. We came in needing to buy new living room and dining room furniture. Kendra Plants met us at the door. She gave us some time to look around and see what we liked. Then she came back to check on us and answered all of our questions. When we mentioned we needed a dining room set she asked a bunch of questions to see what our taste was. We were able to find the perfect furniture for us. One of the pieces couldn’t be delivered and had to be picked up directly from the store. She immediately texted me the business card of a local reputable mover they had dealt with before since we had no way to transport it. She also kept in contact through the whole process between purchasing and delivery to keep us up to date on arrival dates of the pieces that had to be ordered. She also kept in contact making sure we were still happy with our purchase and answering questions. If I need any more pieces of furniture, I’ll definitely go back to Kendra!

This place is a rip off ,we can't sleep on a $3000 mattress we have had for less than 3 months and they tell me it will cost me $750 restocking fee !!!
Order 2 bedroom furniture has been 3 months still can’t get 1 bedroom furniture right. 1st delivery it was missing items 2 delivery ship the same exact set broken and delivered with missing items. 2nd bedroom furniture drawers piping off the dressing table and the bottom of drawer looks like someone put the boards back together to make it right but it’s still messed up. Called the sales rep many times still no call back this will be the last time we would be buying from Ashley furniture store.
If you are in the market for furniture, Mary Halstead is the best, hands down! She was very knowledgeable and easy to work with! During this time when everything is on back order she kept us updated on a regular basis with tentative dates for possible delivery. The furniture arrived sooner than expected last week and is great!

I went into the store, thinking I knew exactly what I wanted.. little did I know, that was certainly not the case. Henry met me at the door and was so sweet and patient as I asked a million different questions about pretty much every couch combination that was in stock. Then after about an hour I had it narrowed down to two couches that I just couldn’t choose from. When I made the “mistake” of sitting on a sectional that turned out to be the first one that Henry had suggested to me. After he and I had spent quite a bit of time together and he had my price range and what I was really looking for, he was able to get that particular couch down to what I had budgeted for & was so sweet about the whole exchange! I had an incredible experience & have steered several of my friends and family to go up and ask for Henry!

Our experience at Ashley was fantastic! Rachel was our sales representative and did an outstanding job! It was not my typical furniture purchase, she made it feel like I was shopping with my best friend. She is very knowledgeable and wants to help you get exactly what you want without being pushy. Delivery has been an issue since Covid19, but she made sure to keep us updated and was upfront about the time frame from the starting process. I live about 1 1/2 hours from Barboursville and I will only purchase furniture from Ashley furniture from this store. The reason for this is simply Rachel. She is an amazing women. I have had the pleasure of purchasing from her for many years. She makes the shopping experience extremely easy and has never disappointed me in her suggestions. She genuinely wants her customers to be satisfied with their purchases and has always gone above and beyond. Two weeks ago my wife and I walked into Ashley Furniture looking for a set of chairs to match table we had purchased from their warehouse. We were greeted by sales associate Rachel. Purchased two couches and two side tables. Before delivery of our pieces, our original salesman left there. Adam Blake picked up the scrambled pieces and made everything right. Was compassionate about our issues, very polite and handled things with such ease. Went back a few months later and purchased three counter height stools with Adam as our salesman. We needed a new mattress, because ours was over 10 years old. While the prices of some of the big box store mattresses, and other online promotions were attractive, we knew we wanted to shop local and get the right fit. Kim was referred to me by a family member. I talked to her for a couple weeks, until we were able to make it into the store. She was very helpful, and the regional sales manager happened to be there to provide even more information. They put my husband on a bed-like machine that indicated his pressure points, and the proper for for him. (I could sleep on a rock, but he NEEDS the right fit.) Kim and Tim showed us the mattresses that would suit his needs, shared their information, and WALKED AWAY. They gave us plenty of space to discuss and lay around on beds to get a better feel for them. We made our determination, and bought the mattress cover that helps us ensure we can hold onto the 6 month satisfaction guarantee! Kim did a great job, and we will visit the store again to see the furniture and other items we may need for our new home!

They have high quality furniture, and each time we have made a purchase we have been completely satisfied with the product and the service. Went into Ashley furniture with an open mind not really knowing exactly what we wanted. We met Chris who showed us around to the sets that would match and look great in our home after we shared our color ideas. Not a single time did I feel he was pushy or just after a sale. He gave us our space after we viewed the options we were interested in and that meant a lot to us as most other stores follow you around and practically try and shove sales down your throat, he even offered us bottled water before parting in that moment. He was amazing. I will be returning at some point for more shopping and will most definitely be requesting him. I would highly recommend Chris to anyone looking for their next furniture Purchase. My family purchased several pieces of furniture 3 months ago. We are waiting on one piece to come in still. I have called to see if we could get a partial delivery/update on delivery and all 4 times am met with "This needs to be discussed with the manager and we will get back with you." I've never received a return call from the manager and every time I call back the manager is not available. We have been charged for the furniture that is not sitting at our house and I can't get anyone to take care of this without a manager. I understand things are delayed because of Covid, but please have the decency to return a phone call when you say you will. And don't charge of for something we do not have in our home. I doubt we will be returning customers once we get this furniture. Go some where with better customer service.

We didn't arrive until near closing, but he didn't rush us, but took time to make sure he answered all of our questions. It goes without saying, we purchased the 4 couches. I came in to purchase a new couch in June and because of COVID knew there’d be a delay, but unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances and extended delays, I’ve still not been able to receive that purchase. With that said, my salesman “CHRIS” has been absolutely amazing with customer service, reaching out, answering any questions, and keeping us updated throughout the entire process. As I know this was out of his hands, he never forgot about us and was very empathetic towards our needs and concerns. I absolutely love the couch and can’t wait to have it in our home! Recently I ventured into this establishment not knowing much about decorating, just knowing that empty space needed to be filled. Luckily upon entering your establishment not only was that able to be accomplished but it was done in a timely manner with the help of Kayla. She not only was kind but she asked questions but gave great advice to help make the process go smoothly. All without being pushy just to make a sale. Anyone every in need of any type of home furniture or decor I would without a doubt advise having the chance have her assist you. Great overall experience.
Nice people very nice selection good prices... Just bought two recliners today, it will take 6 to 8 weeks to get them we were told.... that's not a problem for us. If our opinion changes I will let you know. So far so good.
Buyer Beware! June 2019, ordered a leather couch and (2) recliners. Two months later still awaiting delivery of a couch that has arrived twice and damaged both times. Final couch arrived with another tear. Too much money spent for this to repeatedly keep happening with no follow-up from customer service. Will NEVER do business with Ashley Furniture again.

My whole experience has been a nightmare. My bed was ordered incorrectly, so it kept me on the floor an extra two weeks. My couch was delivered broken. They’ve been to my place 2 different times to try to fix their wrongs, which I’ve had to call off work for. The last time the guy showed up just to tell me “what we thought was wrong with the couch isn’t what’s actually wrong, so I have to order the part and then you will have to schedule me back out” and left. I’ve called the store asking to speak to a manager, only to be told they were not there and that the message would get passed on; it didn’t. I’ve called customer care left a message; never received a call back. I would highly recommend taking your money elsewhere if you’re looking for furniture and decent customer service.

Although Jennifer Schreiber could not sell us something to be delivered to NC, she went out of her way to help us pick out a mattress. She was incredibly knowlegable, a real subject matter expert. I used to work at a high end furniture store and customer service is so important. This store has outgoing folks and there is no pressure to buy. I have purchased quite a few items from this particular branch and they are great. The home delivery guys are great too. I had a bad experience with my daughters delivery with Sandy Superstore in OH, the delivery guys didn't smile, and were upset with the placement arrangement of where my daughter wanted the sectional to go. We will never use them again. Should have gone to Ashley FIRST!!!
Ordered a bedroom suit November 4th. It was delivered on November 24th. Head board and night stand where broke when delivered. Called Mary my sales person and she told me I would have to call Nitro. I called several times and left several messages and did not get a return call. On December 4th I finally got a hold of Darcy and I was told they would have to order a new headboard and nightstand. The headboard was delivered on January 4th. and a Technician came out to fix the night stand. Delivery guy knocked my picture off the wall and broke it. Technician replaced the rails on my nightstand and still would not close. Once again called Nitro and at this time they are going to order a night stand. Called on February 5th to see if my night stand had came in and I was told it was there. I told them I would pick it up because I could not miss anymore work for delivery. February 12th went to pick up night stand and I was told if I didn't have the broken night stand I could not pick it up. I told her I wasn't leaving with out it and I didn't. I have called the Store Manager several times and have never received a phone call. I have never been apologized for anything that has happened. I ordered this bedroom suite on November 4th. 100 days later I have all my pieces and now have to figure out how to get night stand out of my car after paying a delivery fee of $129.00 Had my son and law come take the night stand out of the car. Finish on the molding is peeling. I give up... I paid over $2,000 for this bedroom suite I have never experienced anything like this ever.

After spending over $7000 in this store in the last 3 years, the manager refused to honor the online advertised price for two measly mattresses because they wouldn't make any money on them. Sometimes its about good business and customer service even if you dont make a big profit.
Had a much better experience at this location than at the Charleston location. Jen Schreiber was truly amazing and came through when we thought all hope was lost and was ready to throw in the towel. She made purchasing our sectional painless and quick. She was sure to tell us all of the details before we made a decision. Great experience buying a living room suite - right before Christmas 2019. Matched online prices, and the sales person was very helpful. Started out looking at Lazy-Boy but ended up at Ashley's on a wim. Had to wait on delivery but it went so smooth that I had to write this review. Received my deliver date and text messages confirming times and they showed up exactly when they said. The young fellows were very professional and our home was back to normal in no time. Best of all both my wife and I love the style - perfect for our home👍

My fiancé and I have been searching for a new bed for months before coming to Ashley. To be honest, at this point every mattress was starting to just feel the same and I was ready to give up. We had done a loop of Ashely and were just about to leave when Jen walked up to ask and asked if she could help. Jen worked with us for nearly two weeks to help us find the perfect bed while ensuring a stress free experience. Her customer service was astounding and it was clear that she wasn't just trying to make a sale, she wanted to help us find what was right for us. 13/10 would recommend!

Absolute junk. Don't buy anything front here. The delivery people broke a picture frame and took a chunk out of my hardwood floors. And the "wood" dresser and bed started to peel like wrapping paper the day it was delivered. Returned this trash. Save yourself the trouble and go elsewhere to start with.

My fiance and I went to Ashley Furniture HomeStore on Monday, May 27, 2019 to order a new couch we saw online. We spoke with Jen regarding some delivery questions we had. She was very helpful and informed us she wanted to speak to the person over delivery about our concerns prior to ordering, so all the information she gave was accurate. For this we were very appreciative. She gave us her cell phone number so we could text her any other questions we had. We returned to the store on Wednesday and she helped us order the couch and was absolutely wonderful during the whole process. As we were leaving she made sure to let us know if we needed anything further to contact her using the number she previously gave us. We had a great experience.

We had an excellent experience with Jennifer in the Barboursville, WV store. She made sure we got the right mattress for us with an adjustable base. What was so great is that she took the time to find a bed that would be best for me and my wife. We have bought many things from this store and we will definitely be back!
We went there to purchase a bedroom outfit for each of two rooms. The sales associate, Scott Grimm, was very helpful and attentive to our needs. As for the mattresses, he engaged us in a scientific process that determines the mattress that is best suited for us based upon weight and sleeping position. The computer program recommended a particular type of mattress. We tried the suggested mattress as well as others. We concluded that the suggested mattress was the correct fit. Scott spent about 3 hours with us and showed enthusiasm throughout the process for helping us with our needs. It was a good experience. We will be returning to select living room furniture.
Awful quality. We bought a sofa that fell apart twice in first month. Fought to return it. Took 3 months. Gave another chance, bought sofa, started falling apart in first week. They will take back 1/2 set. Only the broken sofa. Not loveseat. Bought bed, foot board broke off. No more Ashley garbage furniture!

Poor management! They deliver furniture when you are not home & they are rude when you call them about your delivery date. Also they don’t put your furniture together. I purchased a kitchen table that they brought but didn’t bring the screws to put the top on it said they would bring them with the next visit. Well next visit came and no screws for the table but they found some in their truck but didn’t put the table together. I like Ashley Furniture but I definitely would not recommend the store in Huntington WV. I have called Nathen the Store Manager but he’s always busy and has never attempted to call me back. That’s real professional!

Furnished most of my home from Ashley. Had a good selection. The Porter Collection bed room suit was fairly priced and their financing options were great. Delivery and setup was as scheduled with no issues.
What a great job the sales people did! They were helpful, pleasant and the manager, Tim Moore, greeted us personally and welcomed us. Mary Halstead did a wonderful job helping us select pieces and selecting color combinations. I highly recommend this store.

She called Monday to tell us that our furniture would arrive in Nitro on Tuesday, and delivery was setup for today. The deliverymen showed up at exactly the start of the delivery window; they worked hard to bring pieces through a tight hallway and door entry, and they were cordial and respectful. I am already enjoying my new furniture, and my new room looks beautiful! Thank you for making our furniture shopping experience the best it could be. Friendly and helpful staff...large selection of furniture
Really nice workers and professional atmosphere. My issue is that we found a couch we really liked but needed it soon for when family comes in. They said it would take 3-5 weeks to be here from North Carolina. They also said it's worth it, because we would get a special deal that would cover any problems for the first year and we wouldn't find that deal anywhere else. We decided to shop around. I googled the name of the couch, found lots of places that had it online and got the cheapest price I could find. Found the same couch at Big Sandy, and asked them to price match and they did!! It was about a $150 price difference. They had a better care package that included delivery. $99 for delivery, set-up and 3 year warranty, much better than 1 year. Plus if you didn't use any of the services for that first 3 years, you could turn that in to $99 store credit or turn it in to a 10 year warranty. Really good deal. PLUS!!!! on top of all that, they said we could have it in 5 days!!! Not even a week. It's already here, and I love it! Why is this weird? Well, the couch is made by Ashley Furniture. Why would it take them longer to get a couch supposedly from a warehouse in North Carolina than it would a totally different company? (Big Sandy) I really liked the man who helped us, but at the end of the day, Big Sandy gave us a cheaper price, better care package deal, and MUCH faster delivery. Maybe this review will help Ashley Furniture figure out some different ways to make the sale by giving customers incentives like free delivery, or price matching.

Our experience at Ashley Furniture in Barboursville WV was absolutely horrible!!!! For starters we ordered a dining room suite and a tv stand with a fire insert. These were all North Shore which is top of the line. The furniture was bought and ordered in January it is now April 17th and we still have not received all of our furniture. The dining room suite took a month to come in, when it was delivered the associate ordered the wrong dining table and the China cabinet was busted damaged during shipping. The table and China cabinet was reordered it took another month. When the new table and china cabinet finally came in the china cabinet has scuffs and scratches on it. They also were suppose to deliver their place insert to the tv stand . When we asked the delivery guys where it was they told us they did not know. Later we were told the insert was in and delivery was scheduled. Then we were called and told that it was not in after being told it was in. The next scheduled delivery was this past Saturday no one showed up and no one called. I myself work in retail and I have never experienced such horrible service time after time. Our furniture was ordered in January it is now nearing the end of April and we still do not have all of our furniture. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!!! We will never shop with Ashley Furniture again. On a scale of 1 to 10 they are triple zero.

We weren't followed or harassed like many furniture stores seem to do. When we had questions, our sales people were knowledgeable and provided quick assistance. Our salesperson Lynden Ware knew the specifics concerning each product we were interested in purchasing. She was pleasant and friendly but never over bearing. We are pleased with both sofa's that we purchased. We will return to this Ashley HomeStore.
I ordered a vanity for my daughter, and the style and quality met our expectations. The sales associate was very helpful and friendly, and she even called me 2 times before the vanity came in to update me on the status. We had a very pleasant experience with Ashley!
Today I purchased bedroom furniture and a mattress set. While trying to decide on what items I wanted to get sale professional Matthew Owens sat down with me to review all of my options and to answer any questions I had. Matthew is very knowledgeable about the products at Ashley and he was very patience during my time there. When I decide to purchase new furniture I will be going back to Ashley.

Lyndon waits on me and shes always respectful and is quick to get things done, and doesn't leave you hanging.. she makes sure that everything is taken care of.. if any problem arises you can feel comfortable discussing it with her and she will help much as she can.

We purchased a bedroom suite and mattress. The quality of the furniture, for the price paid, was above our expectations. The salesperson was extremely helpful, but low pressure. When the nightstands were delivered, they both had damage to the rear panels, but it was not noticeable from the front and did not effect the function.. A repair person came out within a week and repaired the panels. We also purchased two bar stools. We looked at almost every furniture store in the area and couldn't find anything that was comfortable until we went to Ashley. As soon as I sat in one, I knew we had found a winner.

We recently purchased a sectional from the Ashley Homestore Barboursville! We have visited several Ashley Furnitures on our building and furnishing a new home journey! We were Soooooo lucky to have received Danielle's help along our journey! She is absolutely amazing! A knowledge, not pushy salesman is hard to find these days! She was able to answer any questions we had, researched several items for us and put up with me on my three visits to decide what I wanted! Lol. Never did I feel pressured or unwanted and not appreciated or just another person! Nice furniture but delivery is at a snail's pace. We purchased a recliner identical to two we purchased for our Boone NC home. We were told delivery time was 2-4 weeks. 6 weeks later no chair.

I came into Ashley Furniture looking for the best deal on a new bedroom set and king size mattress. I've looked at other places In the area, but I honestly couldn't have asked for a better deal. Danielle went out of here way to go above and beyond helping me find the perfect fit for my wants and budget. We spent 3 hours looking at everything in the store more than once and she never once made it feel like it was bothering her. She even waited 3 hours to eat her lunch. She took the time to price everything I liked-and believe me, that was everything in the store. She spent a lot of time making sure we got the best deal for our buck. Loved the furniture but not too happy the delivery company they used. They delivered and assemble our dining room table, and it was broken or they broke it while assembling it and didn't say a word to us. We didn't notice it until they were pulling out of the driveway. So my only advice would be if you have them deliver your things inspect it before they leave. I'm giving them 4 stars because our Ashley HomeStore is handling the situation. Just a little inconvenient. But not the store fault or the quality of their product, just poor assembly by the delivery service.
I recently purchased a new home and was looking for a dinning room set and a leather recliner to go with my other furniture. My sales associate Danielle was very nice and very helpful. She help me pick out a new dinning room set and a recliner that went perfectly with all of my current furniture. Alisa Vear was incredibly helpful and very nice to work with. She was around when we needed her but didn't hover. We had gone to another furniture store in town and were treated very poorly by the sales person. We were still going to buy from the particular store, however it became clear they didn't want our business so we left before completing the sale. It was a way better experience at Ashley Furniture. The sale was really good and the furniture is good quality.

Having recently moved to the area and we were in need of a sofa. After researching several choices, we made the right choice on Ashley Furniture in Barboursville. We decided on a sectional sofa that looks great in our new home! We worked with an exceptional salesperson, Holly. She was very down-to-earth and made the whole process wonderful. We will be back in the future for our furniture needs.
No problems at all with the showroom as posted by a previous reviewer. Our problems started when dealing with the poca warehouse. We bought a $7000 bedroom suit and don't get me wrong, it's beautiful. HOWEVER, we were told our footboard was destroyed and they would have to order a new one. No big deal I understand these things happen. They deliver the rest of the bedroom suit and they have the bed with an intact footboard, it's the nightstand that was broken. Again no big deal, we will go pick it up when it comes in. Noticed that one of the drawers in the chest is broken, so we call and they tell us they will have to come back out and fix it 2 weeks from then. So the repair date comes and the repair man calls us at 1145 and says that he won't be there until 1, the service call window was between 10 and 12. We have plans for the day so we tell him we will call and reschedule. He says no just call when you get home, so we did at 430 and no answer. Now they are telling us it's going to be another 2 weeks before they can get out to fix it and we still don't have our nightstand. When we called they offered no apologies and are not the least bit concerned that we are making payments already on a bedroom suit that is not even complete. The warehouse is terrible and they have the worst customer service. I will never buy another piece of furniture from ashley again. I'll stick to value city or big sandy.

We walked into the store at 5 minutes before closing (yes we were those people) and were met by Danielle who was more than welcome to assist us. She was extremely helpful and allowed us to take our time to find what we were looking for. She made it a great experience for us.
My husband & I had a very good experience at Ashley in Barboursville Saturday evening. Our sales rep Danielle was very helpful & was not pushy like some sales reps can be. Ashley at the service desk was also very helpful & friendly, I was very impressed that she went ahead & did our warranty registration for us. I have bought Ashley furniture before so I know it is high quality. This store is very well stocked & we will definitely be visiting it again in the future.

My mother and I needed to find a lift chair for my dad, who has just been diagnosed with an acute illness. Our first stop was the Ashley store in Barboursville. I must apologize, I can't remember the salesman's name, but he showed us just what we were looking for but the 2 week delivery was out of the question. I spoke with, Jennifer the Sales Manager, to explain our situation. I feel she listen not only with her ears but with her heart and we left with the chair we needed. Our family has a comfy chair for our dad and a renewed faith that there are good people in the world of business.

He had only been working for 2 weeks but he had a very positive and pleasant attitude. He was very helpful and did his best to answer any questions we had. I'm only giving 4 stars solely due to finding the exact same sectional online that we bought in store for a few hundred dollars cheaper. Overall we are satisfied so far. Note- We are still waiting for our furniture to deliver and that may change.

I am a first time furniture buyer and had a great experience at the Barboursville location. I purchased a large sectional and dining room table/chairs with the help of Sam Clevenger. She was super friendly and helpful so I chose her when I came back to purchase on my second visit. Sam gave me space and answered questions as needed while I was searching for my perfect fit. She even offered to help if any problems arose with delivery. On delivery day the guys were right on time if not five minutes early and were done setting up within the hour. I am very satisfied with the price and with the furniture. Thanks so much!!
I purchased a bedroom suite from the Barboursville, WV location of Ashley Furniture HomeStore. I had a wonderful shopping experience and would recommend shopping this location. The staff member I worked with was very friendly and helpful. I purchased furniture while my new home was in the process of being finished. Due to construction delays, I had to postpone delivery of my furniture several times. Ashley Furniture was extremely accommodating to my requests to delay delivery. I will definitely purchase furniture from this company in the future!

I love Ashley Furniture! Jan Dempsey was the sales person that helped us and she is fantastic. Not only did she help us coordinate everything, but when we were unsure of what kind of chairs to use with our new table - she ran all over the store getting chairs so we could see what they looked like with the table. The staff was friendly, but the reason I am giving this a low review is because of the time it is taking to receive my sectional. I was originally told 2-3 weeks, and now I am being told 4-5 weeks. I understand this is a busy time of year, but I should receive my purchase in a timely manner or at least be told up front the correct estimated delivery time so I have the option to purchase somewhere else if I need my furniture sooner than they can provide it.

The customer service I received at Ashley Furniture was the best I've received in any furniture store in the Tri-State. Lyndon was so helpful and tolerant of my 3-year-old couch jumper. He still asks to go visit her! She was able to find me the perfect chair based on a very vague description. I was very hesitant at first, but once I got it home I am amazed at how well it suits my needs. We had one tiny issue of a pillow not being delivered with the furniture, but one quick call took care of it, no questions asked or hassle. They shipped it straight to my home. The sectional and chair I ordered are very well made and I'm confident they will hold up a lot better than the set I bought from a nearby story just a couple of years ago.

The sales staff at the Barboursville, WV store was great. The lady's name who helped my friends and I out was Rachel, and she was fabulous. I believe she sold three different living room suits and a bed to two other couples and my friend while we were there. The sale experience was great and hassle free. I was able to get my delivery set up no problem and the layaway plan was nice as well since I was in the process of purchasing a home. The delivery men were on time and extremely helpful. My driveway goes up a hill and is narrow, so I met them at the bottom with a pickup truck and they loaded it onto the truck, rode up to my house, then carried my furniture in and set it in place as I directed them. Overall a great experience!!! :)

OveralI had a very good experiance. The first two deliveries were great the men were very professional. The third delivery not so good. Very rough on everything therefore causing damage. In my opinion Ashley Furniture is losing money in the warehouse and delivery. First bedroom suit every piece had paint problems they tried to fix before delivery and made it worse. Therefore a new set was ordered, because they damaged my headboard on the third delivery they said they would order a new one. Thanks Ramona Coleman
Great place, price matched a local store and even gave free delivery b/c they wanted to show great customer service. Furniture arrived, and is starting to stick when the recliners open though. But the store, and the salesperson were very nice.
I made a purchase at Ashley Furniture and after receiving my purchased item, used it for approx. 3 weeks & we had decided this item was not for us. I went directly to my Ashley store and ask to speak with the manager about this item. I was very nervous since I did not go sooner to talk with someone. After my wait, I told the manager my concerns and I was elated that he was extremely helpful in my returning the merchandise and helping me get another item which was more suitable for our home. I am very please with the new replacement and highly recommend this Ashley store to anyone looking for furniture. We purchased over 14K in furniture and love every piece. I recommend Jamie, he is a very good person to work with. He's a class act. The delivery guys showed up late the day of delivery. They were exhausted but still demonstrated a good attitude. Since then we have purchased an office desk and chair.

Ashley furniture was great. Our salesman was wonderful that night. We had gotten up there when they were about to close and he stayed over business hours to help us out. The delivery was great. They came when they were supposed to and even ordered a new dresser drawer when they had scratched one. The new dresser drawer came in the mail. Also we had a tech come out and he was very professional and assisted us with our concerns.
My then fiancé (now husband) and I just stopped in to browse and ended up purchasing a couch & love seat right then and there. The saleswoman was very helpful, yet not overbearing and pushy. Once the warehouse called to set up delivery they said they would arrive between 10:30 and some way later time in the afternoon that I didn't even have to worry about because the arrived around 10:36, which was fantastic & on of the only times I haven't had to wait all day for something to be delivered!
