Connor Humphrey worked amazingly with us. I came in for a new mattress due to my disability. He did a bed test and pointed us to the best mattresses for me, and worked with us on pricing. Highly recommend this store and Connor, much appreciated!
Really good selection and nice store. Everyone we talked to was extremely helpful and friendly without being pushy. We will likely buy our furniture from here in the future.
Customer service was wonderful. I could not have asked for a better experience. Stephen was great! With that being said, delivery was HORRIBLE! I guess I should say, lack of delivery. Delivery service said they were unable to get to my home. Need to add that other companies/delivery services have no issue. Tried several times to find a way to get my item only to have delivery service say “no”. Even asked to drop off at an alternative location on their route. I had to pick up my item and have still not received credit for the delivery charge ($100). It’s been almost 2 months. I’ve called the store and have yet to receive a return call about the charge.

The Charleston location is a wonderful and professional place to shop. My salesman David (Barney) Null was very knowledgeable in helping me to pick out a recliner. I chose a wall hugger in slate and couldn’t be happier with it. It fits perfectly where I needed it too. Thank you so much Ashley furniture and Barney Null for the excellent service and selection. Let’s me tell you what they don’t want you to know. Everything here is marked up at 70% over retail! Think you’re getting a deal but you’re really not those specials deals are the same ones they run all time just given a new name, ohh and that 5 star event or vip isn’t a deal either they print out new price tags with higher prices the day before to make you think you are but you really aren’t. The furniture is cheap made it will break super easily and they will do next to nothing to replace it, hence how they get you to buy the warranty. It’s all a scam and overall the business is shady stay away from Ashley at all cost, there as bad if crooks as used car sales people!

I will not return ever again to Ashley Furniture. Purchased a couch, loveseat, and ottoman in February. Couch was returned because it wouldn’t fit through my hall way into the living room. I then repurchased a reclining sofa that comes apart so that it would fit. Day of delivery the driver calls saying BOTH roads are blocked to our house can we meet them and do we have a truck they can strap it onto??? We met them and had them follow us to our house just to have them say they can’t get it in, and that it was NOT a sofa that could come apart. They then took this second couch back to the warehouse! I called and spoke to a manager who tried to track them down. Fast forward to today April 17 and I’m back to Ashley furniture to try to see where my couch is and when it’s going to be redelivered. The store manager didn’t seem to be to worried, referred me to the sales person who did call the delivery manager. We shall see if the couch finally gets here next week. Never again with this company.

Bunk beds for the kids. TV’s and more. Close to eateries and other shopping. Interstate is less than 5 miles away. Nice staff. Eager to help. Frank I believe helped me try to find certain items. Plenty of parking.

Purchased bedroom furniture and a kitchen table in early February and was told that I’d be contacted FEBRUARY 19th to schedule delivery. It’s March 4th and I haven’t heard a peep from Ashley. So, I called this morning to find out what’s going on, and was told I needed to speak to my sales rep? Not sure why as I’m sure it would’ve taken less time for them to look my purchase up and provide an updated than it took for Jordan to place me on hold, only to tell me I need to leave a message for my sales person. Terrible customer service and no furniture.

I have to admit, when I walked in and they immediately told me who my assigned salesman was going to be, I was a little nervous. I wanted to shop by myself and not be hounded by a salesman. To my surprise, my assigned salesman, Steve, introduced himself, and then told me to find him when I needed him. I loved that. I was able to shop by myself, but when I needed someone or had questions, I had a person to go to. Once I found a living room set that I liked, Steve help me measure it and went through all the pricing and financing options very well. He is very nice and knowledgeable. The store manager, Nate, was also very kind and willing to work with me on some financing. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at this store, and would recommend it to other people.

Had the absolute best experience at a furniture store today. Mr Conner Humphrey was my sales representative. I walked in expecting to be bum rushed by sales people and was simply greeted by a nice young man who pointed me to the direction of my interest. When I found what I was looking for. Conner took the time to answer my questions and was extremely knowledgeable about the product. I was also just curious about prices on sofas. I narrowed the selection down to two different sofas and I found Mr Conner and after asking several questions regarding quality, comfort, longevity. I would not have given one star but I had to in order to write a review. My dad bought a couch here and had it delivered. When it arrived, it was the wrong couch. My dad has a very small living room and a larger couch would be too big. My dad has the couch loaded up and returns it himself. When he got to the store he was told that his money couldn't be refunded automatically that they would have to mail him a check. I personally have never had a business to refund a payment by check. It's just a click away to return a payment back to the card the purchase was made on. Three months later my dad went to his mailbox to send out the form he had filled out to send to the BBB and his check from Ashley Furniture was in his mailbox. THREE months to refund his payment . Pathetic. My dad recently needed to purchase a dining room set and I suggested Ashley not knowing his prior experience. His response was "not even if they were giving them away" .

It feels so good to crawl in bed at night. The pillows are so comfortable and cool to the touch too! I love them so much I was buying some for Christmas gifts for my grown children. They make wonderful gifts!!

I love to look around at all of the different furniture pieces at Ashley. Wonderful furniture but a little on the expensive side. Jamie was the awesome salesman who waited on me. He spent a lot of time helping me to make up my mind and was very patient with me. Although this was not his fault, it came as quite a shock to me when the paperwork was all done, and the total price was twice as much as what the couch cost. I got it on a 5-year no interest payment plan. I definitely love the couch but I don't feel it was worth the price that I'm going to end up paying. I only gave it four stars because of the price, but the service was worth five stars!

The sales lady at the store was wonderful. The delivery men were great and very polite. The receiving of the bed was terrible! We were told it would be delivered Aug 10th then it changed to Aug 14th then it changed again to Aug 20th. It took over a month to get our $10,000 bed and two weeks of sleeping on the couch because we had our mattress removed.for delivery of our new one on the 10th. Not happy at all.

Matt Thaxton at the South ridge location is the best sales person I have ever worked with. He was accommodating, he knew his inventory, and he was very helpful in getting everything set up for me, even when there were delivery issues and other hiccups. Purchased a sectional couch and there was a mess-up on one of the end pieces. Called management, they took care of it and got a replacement delivered. Management at the store and the delivery department was very professional and friendly. Roy Adams was top notch throughout the process!
I'm absolutely in love with my new furniture and all the help and understanding from Ashley's furniture. I'm a single mom and living on a single parents budget isn't always easy, but they were always understanding when it came to making my payments for my layaway. Not to mention the delivery team was so good. I have a three-year-old son, and one of the guys especially was extra sweet to him. It really made my sons day so much he didn't want the guy to leave. My all around experience was amazing and I highly suggest going to Ashley's for your furniture needs.

I chose "Not Applicable" on delivery time because the truck broke down on the way, causing unavoidable delay. The young men who delivered the furniture were friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, and justifiably proud of their work when it was finished. From truck to setup, they were extremely careful not to leave a mark anywhere. It was a very satisfactory delivery and setup.

Terrible company paid thousands of dollars for a piece of furniture and paid 100’s of dollars for a warranty that won’t repair my furniture. What’s the point of the warranty if it’s not going to cover anything
Paid $2,200 for a sectional plus an additional $400 for the warranty. The chaise part, which was poorly made had snapped on the back rest. This has been a problem for every sectional they have sold like this. They will not replace the chaise piece. They charged me $400 on a warranty that honors nothing. The best they can do it send a tech out to “repair” the piece by taking out a piece of wood & replacing it with a stronger piece. Is that a $400 dollar job? The sag on the cushion will not be corrected by doing this either. Ashley Furniture should be ashamed of themselves.

Had the perfect salesman. I came in looking for relatively inexpensive furniture that met particular personal requirements. He took my wife and I around to items meeting my desires and was very friendly. I chose to check out expensive items and my wife and I decided we wanted to spend more. He continued to give us the same level of great service. All to often it seems salespeople treat you differently based on what you want to spend or they try to upsell you, that was not my experience here. A great place to shop for what you want, rather than what the salesperson wants to push.

I got a beautiful large sectional and the quality is amazing so far. The ladies jen and jennifer in store helped me so much and was extremely nice! I did have some mess ups but not on them. I picked up my couch and got it home to find a piece was broken so I exchanged them and then the pieces was ripped so they ordered more and let me keep the ripped ones until then. They gave me free delivery and it was just delivered and set up and the delivery men was AMAZING and so nice! Professional with a sense of humor. I couldn't be happier with the outcome! Thank you Jaxon (hope I spelled and got that right) and country boy! Sorry but I forgot your name, it was hard to hear it when told twice lol I know it starts with a D if I heard correctly but anyways! Would recommend 100/10 thank you ashely!

If I could leave less than one star, I would. The salesperson I dealt with was fantastic, but the delivery was beyond terrible. I paid extra for assembly of a child’s loft bed, but when the delivery people arrived they initially told me their drill was “acting up” so they were sure they could do it. I gave them my drill to use, but they didn’t get that far. They unboxed the bed and had pieces spread all over my daughter’s room and then called me in to tell me there were no directions in the boxes, so they couldn’t assemble it. I was able to find the instructions online and print them out and I went downstairs, assuming they were working. An hour later, they call me back to the room and not ONE piece had been moved from where it was an hour before. They told me that the wrong parts were inside the boxes and they couldn’t assemble it. I quickly looked through the parts and was not convinced that pieces were missing. This all happened on a Saturday night and I was told there was nothing I could do but call customer service on Monday. The room was completely unable to be used because of all the pieces that were scattered around so I told them there was no way I could wait until Monday. In the two hours they were there, all they did was try to think of reasons not to put it together. I even overheard them complaining about how long it was going to take, how they should have gotten dinner first, etc. I was beyond disappointed and asked them to box everything back up and give me a refund.
Our recliner broke after only 9 months of normal use to rock the baby. Our other purchase, well, I've never owned a couch that wasn't sturdy enough to sit on the arms for a moment but now I have. It feels like it's going to break off. Cheapest furniture I have ever had. The stuffing is inconsistent. The first recliner was low on stuffing but the second recliner was over stuffed. I literally had to cut a hole in the back and pull out stuffing. In the couch there is a center console with cup holders but it is hard to open because it is overstuffed in a spot where nobody can sit. The console does not move to open up to a third seat but they stuffed the back directly behind it so full that it is very hard to open. I'm very surprised and disappointed in the quality of the couch set I purchased here. Also, my in-store experience was not great. Cliff was not honest about pricing and was controlling about keeping other salesman away from us when we wanted to talk to them.
Bought an Ernestine power lift recliner from Ashley in Charleston, WV, on 2/22/20 for $879.99. Paid $89.99 extra for a 4-year Protection Plan. Coverage included "Breakage of mechanisms including sleeper mechanisms, reclining mechanisms, and heating, power and vibrating mechanisms. Chair got stuck in the up position on 7/23/22 (control button broke). Called the store on 7/25/22 and was told to call the 888 number. Called Furniture Care Protection, Inc (FCP) in Edmond, OK and was told to send pic. Texted pic and said I needed a new five-pin lighted wand. Got text 7/26/22 saying they would process the claim. Nothing. Called FCP 8/2/22 and was told they had to send a technician. Nothing. Called FCP 8/9/22 and was told they had to send a technician. Called the Ashley store manager and was told they had no control over it. Told him they sold the plan in their store; they should be able to do something. Was told to call Ashley Customer Care. Called Ashley Customer Care and was told they had no control over it, I could buy a new wand online, but she would send an email. Today is 9/11/22. Still nothing. Purchased a new, inferior wand online for about $30.00. Wand like the original costs about twice that. Shame on you Ashley and FCP. Zero stars.

My first time writing a review. Just upset with Ashley since the day I walked in the store. Salesman assured me it'd be delivered in 2 weeks. Until they got my payment. Ended up being 8 weeks, if I hadn't been tricked I felt, id have been fine with it. I live alone, have had this sofa and chair a year in July. I kept it covered all winter because of the light color. And poor quality fabric, has pulled apart around edges, seems fabric is not one piece. Bought the warranty & Dont waste of your money. They aren't going to cover because of the quality of fabric. Had it been an accident or pet stain they would have. Really ?? So DONE with Ashley Furniture !!

We had purchased our dining room set from the online store and paid to have it delivered and set up. The 5 chairs were delivered by FedEx then had to wait 4-5 months for the table. When the table was delivered, we were told they could not put together the chairs even though we had paid the extra for set up. I called and was given a refund for the set up fee and they also replaced our table top that had been delivered with scratches on the sides. All in all, it was a good experience.

This store, by far, has the worst customer service ever. Lee is very rude and does not communicate well with his customers. I have called and left several messages and not once has he returned my or my boyfriends call. I can understand a furniture shortage at this time during the pandemic, however Lee was neither honest or did he communicate with us on how long our delivery would take. My boyfriend went down to the location in south ridge where Lee works to sort out this issue and inquire about our refund that already supposed to have been given and Lee’s behavior towards him was completely unacceptable. I would not recommend this particular location to anyone or if you do go here, avoid working with Lee as his is unprofessional and quite rude. The worst customer service I have ever experienced at any Ashley location I’ve ever shopped from.

Months of waiting for furniture, told it’d be a “few weeks”, no one will answer the phone, when they do answer they can only cancel the order but it’ll cost over a thousand dollars to do that. Wouldn’t recommend Ashley to anyone. Months waiting for furniture that our sales lady assured us when we ordered that it would only be a couple weeks. No one ever answers a phone when you call to check on it and they’re going to charge you a $1000 to cancel. Take your money somewhere else because this outfit takes your money and then forgets you exist. UPDATE-3/4 It’s only gotten worse. Finally get my items and they’re damaged. UPDATE 5/25 Even worse still. After someone from Ashley came and inspected my furniture, which was him looking at it while calling it trash, they ordered parts and new pieces. Roy at the warehouse insisted when I talked to him that they would fix everything all at once. Nope. So I still have a busted sofa. A couple rude encounters with “customer service” later and still at a loss. DONT WALK, RUN ANYWHERE ELSE AND BUY FURNITURE. I’m convinced Big Lots would have delivered better quality and service for half the price.
We were greeted by a nice man. He ask us what we were looking for we told him a bed. I told him I wanted a Hybrid bed. He told us that he could show us some and then he could let me lay on the bed that show us my pressure points. My daughter said let's just go straight to that step. He was very informative and answered all our questions. His name is Mr. Lee Miller. Great place!! Great people!! Highly Recommended and Appreciated.

The power recliner loveseat that I ordered hade a bent bar causing the right chair to get "hung up" when operating. When I contacted Ashley explaining the situation they thought they could replace a part then realized they had to replace the loveseat. They were great. They contacted me several times letting me know what needed to be done and when I could expect the new loveseat. The team that delivered the replacement loveseat were very friendly and professional. The team was quick and efficient while making me feel like I was their only customer. I never felt like they were rushing the appointment even though they weren't here for a long time. My fiance and I have been here a couple times in the past 2 weeks trying to find living room furniture we'd be interested in purchasing. The store is very clean and well-organized and a staff member is always ready to help. Bethany helped us and she was extremely insightful when letting us know about store policies, how the online price match really works, and genuinely seemed to care about getting us the best deal that she could offer. I had no problem with the service I received, it was the delivery. I paid extra for delivery and set up. As they were bringing my furniture in they knocked a hanging off my door, hit pictures on the wall and hit other pieces of furniture too. They put the mirror on the dresser but didn’t tighten the screws. When I moved the dresser the mirror pulled back almost coming loose. They had one bolt to hook the rails to the headboard. Informed me I would have to get bolts and do that myself. So, I not only had to buy bolts, I had to pay someone else to finish my set up. When I contacted my salesperson all I got was I’m so sorry. Not very happy with the outcome.
By far one of the worst furniture stores I have ever been to. Terrible customer service. No one use Lee Miller in the store he is rude he will get in your face terrible terrible customer service.

Was greeted by Lee upon my arrival. He introduced himself and directed me to the area I needed to browse. After I had some time to look around he found me and asked if I had any questions. I told him the parameters for the couch I needed. He then walked with me to several options to consider. He was very knowledgeable, professional, and attentive without being intrusive. He made the whole experience less painful and more successful than I had imagined it would be.

I had a wonderful experience at Ashley. They have a wide selection and I won’t have to wait months for my purchase, as other stores told me. Of course a furniture store is just a furniture store. What set Ashley apart for me is the service. Ryan Anderson was very helpful and polite. He took me right to what I was looking for, answered all my questions, and, knowing my use for the sectional, pointed out it’s pros and cons. He suggested a warranty, but was not a hard sell. (I bought it anyways - kids.) He gave us plenty of time alone to wander and consider our choices, but in the end we went with his suggestion. A few weeks later, I went back for a king size mattress, chairs and tables. Again, Ryan’s experience paid off in helping me choose my items. He didn’t mention at first the adjustable base for the bed, because it significantly adds to the cost. He also helped with that as well. He is very polite and conscious of the value of my time, listening and not wasting it by selling items I didn’t want or need. His suggestion to wait for tables until I saw the filled space was a great idea. All and all he made the process enjoyable and efficient. I’ll definitely go back and recommend Ashley to anyone who asks, and I bet they will once they see the furniture in my home. And yes, this is a real review. Thank goodness for autocorrect and spell check. :)
I told Ashley Furniture HomeStore that I was going to go home and make a post and brag about their EXCEPTIONAL customer service. I hadn’t yet, AND IM GLAD I DIDNT. At this point I feel like I was lied to just to make a sale. I went into the store last week and expressed to the sales rep that I was frustrated and overwhelmed due to the fact that I had been to SIX different stores looking for a couch and everyone told me it would be months before I could get one in. When I explained my issue to the sales rep she eased my worries with amazing news that the sectional I fell in love with could be here within two weeks. It’s been a week already I called to see when it would be expected for next week so that I could plan ahead, and the manager notifies me it’ll be EARLY JUNE before it will arrive. So at this point she lied? Just to make a sale? Unprofessional. That’s all.
We worked bethany and she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we would possibly need for our new home. I hope in the future we will be able to work with her. I highly recommend working with bethany for your furniture needs.

Went to Ashley furniture tonight was just looking for a mattress to compare pricing and deals, well when we walked in we were greeted immediately by Matt Thaxton asking if he could help us find anything. Was great from there showed us different types sizes was very knowledgeable of the inventory and answered any and all questions we had, I personally didn’t know that there were so many different types etc, needless to say we bought a mattress and was told we could pick it up in one to two weeks, ok no problem we’ve been this long what’s a couple weeks, WELL I get a call after hours for Ashley furniture and he was looking around and came across our mattress in a warehouse nearby so I’ll be picking it up tomorrow!!! I had a great experience when I went to Ashley Furniture a few nights ago. I had my 2 kids with me and was looking for a specific sofa. Ryan Anderson at the South Chas./Corridor G store helped me out immediately. He was so friendly, quick, and efficient. Matt Thaxton is quite possibly a lost relic from an ancient tribe of sales professionals. His knowledge of product is akin to sorcery and, be-it a darker time, he would surely be called a heretic for his magical knowledge. I left with everything I needed and found myself at home pondering the world’s greatest mysteries. That’s when Matt called to answer those questions as well. Truly remarkable service.
My wife and I were in the market for a new mattress. We stopped at Big Sandy and we were sorely disappointed with the customer service so we immediately headed over to Ashley. Cliff greeted us promptly and got to work helping find the best fit for us. He was knowledgeable about the products and also personable with us. We appreciated his great customer service and honest candor regarding the products available. Thankfully we found a super mattress that we are excited to have delivered soon. I'm not so sure Ashley deserves such a low score as the in-store experience was just fine but the delivery was not good. And even if the delivery company is not affiliated with Ashley (3rd-party contractor) they are still the service provider and, as customers, we did not hire them. Two, of three, pieces we sent back. We're kind of picky in not wanting to buy broken or badly assembled furniture. And now, it's been several days since and the promised 24hr call back has not happened. Perhaps it's endemic to the industry in that all furniture/appliances delivered nowadays has a terrible chance of making it to your door looking as it did on the showroom floor. Don't make our mistake; if they don't have it in stock and you can't take it home yourself that day go somewhere else. Better yet, grab a friend with a truck, take a drive to a bigger metropolitan area and get it there, bring it home yourself. Most likely, when or if the call back occurs Ashley will tell us the delivery company is not their's, it's a 3rd party, so on that statement we're just out of luck. Meanwhile, we've paid in full.
We have had a terrible experience at Ashley Furniture because our salesperson, Lois, has been lying to us for 8 weeks and literally just making up dates for our furniture to be in, when in reality they have no idea! Lois should be FIRED for her TERRIBLE customer service!!! She has been lying to us since the day we bought it and we just found out yesterday after talking to two managers that she was making stuff up! Then once the date came that our furniture should have been here according to her LIES she started not taking our calls and refusing to return our messages! I sincerely hope that Ashley Furniture will look into her behavior and take it very seriously. We would have accepted being told our furniture wouldn't be here until January...but being LIED TO is completely unacceptable!😡
The sales experience was great or so I thought. I order furniture on Sept 8th was told 6-8 weeks. I called a few weeks ago to check on the status and was told my furniture was delivered to a warehouse in North Carolina and once it left there, I’d be able to schedule delivery. After several attempts to get in contact with my sales person, my wife was told to expect delivery around January. At this point, I’m considering canceling my order and never doing business with them again.

Update: Furniture never came. Never received any calls from Ashley regarding delay. It was delayed 2 additional months. It still never came. We had to cancel on the people coming to take our old furniture, so it was a domino effect. Not to mention adjusting work schedules to be home for delivery. Called again today to check since it is more than a week after the most recent delivery date and have decided to cancel. Might have stuck it out if someone had attempted to contact me regarding delays. Not once did they update us on changes. Poor customer service. Changed from 5 stars to 1 star. Initial shipping date was later than usual, then 2 additional delays. Never once informed. Only found out after furniture never showed up and we called to see what happened. I purchased this furniture over 5 months ago. Our visit to Ashley Home store was a positive experience. Our salesman, Ryan, gave us the time and space for us to look over the furniture and then approached us in a kind, helpful manner. He was very informative and clearly had a lot of experience selling furniture. He played a large part in deciding to purchase through Ashley versus local competitor. The furniture is going to be delayed in shipping, I guess due to COVID, but Ryan informed us of that early on and it is out of everyone's hands, so we will deal . I would recommend this store to others and they should ask for Ryan as their salesperson. He deserves another orange placard. He has shown consistency since 2016, the year of his employee of the month awards, he certainly needs another!

Stopped in right before closing a few weeks ago, was greeted and welcomed by Matt. Explained that we were going to be purchasing furniture for living room and master bedroom within the next month but was only going to be looking this particular day to get an idea of what we like. Matt done an excellent job of explaining the sales to us, asking us simple questions about style we want and just recommended a few things in the store we may like. Never felt like we was being pressured or hovered over at any point. To beat it all, Matt asked if I wanted to share my contact info, which I did, and was surprised by his professionalism when I was surprised to get a phone call and text from him a couple weeks later to just give me a heads up that a very big sale was coming up that I may not want to miss. I was working 7 hours from home at the time with one day a week off so not able to come home for several more weeks. But I had already planned to visit the Ashley store local to work that day anyway. Even though I really didn’t like to because I didn’t want to be a difficult customer, but really wanted to give him my business for him going above and beyond to assist us. Matt insured me that it was no problem at all for me to forward him the items and sku numbers to the items we wanted. Not only did he package them all together, got them cheaper than I saw priced at that store, but took a good deal of his own time to figure up a couple different ways I could go as far as payment options. To say we were very pleased with our experience at the store and Matt’s professionalism and friendly help would be a great understatement. Matt even sent a card to say thanks for the chance to do business with a personally written message, which we thought was a really awesome thing to do. I’ve never even gotten something like that from purchasing something as much as my house. I truly appreciate all the help with everything and making this a whole lot better of an experience than I was expecting it to me, Matt. My wife and I visited Ashley HomeStore to look at some furniture for our newly renovated basement and found some really great stuff. The items that we bought had a retro vibe to them which fit perfectly with our basement decor.
I Initially went into Ashley to get a king size mattress for my guest room and needed something that was cheap and could be delivered by Friday (went in that Monday). I decided that instead I would update my current Tempur-pedic with a newer model along with an adjustable base (who throws away a Tempur-Pedic, I’ll use that in the guest room). My sales professional, MATT THAXTON was the BEST in helping me with selection, the only problem was there were no Tempur TXL bases in stock. When I tell you that Matt went above and beyond, he did. On Friday I had both TXL Tempur-pedic mattresses and two Tempur-pedic ergo massage bases for the price of the Simmons one zone massage base saving me an additional 400 dollars on top of the 300 dollars off the mattresses and free KING size pillows valued at 149 a piece...he did. I really can’t say enough about MATT THAXTON, and he didn’t try to hustle me with the whole mattress sales pitch about how important a good nights sleep is..etc. And if you thought that he was done..nope, he followed up at 9 o’clock that night to make sure that I got everything set up and the bases were functioning properly. So if you finished this book that I wrote on my sales professional MATT THAXTON (Charleston location) then here’s my review on the Tempur Hybrid mattress..it’s great, adapts to your body temperature and the ergo adjustable 3 zone- 3 massage types is great. How much did all this cost? Not as much as it should have..go see MATT THAXTON and get your own deal. Thanks MATT, you did and awesome job!

We originally went in to talk to Daryl. Unfortunately he had resigned that morning. Jenifer was a big help and was able to get the table and chairs ordered. We were also looking at mattresses but decided that that was a down the raid purchase.

They are super kind to make a sale afterwards they could careless about you. Been waiting over two months for my sectional was informed it was in. Went to the warehouse to pick up and surprise no sectional. Went to the store to speak with the manager who was rude, was in a hurry to get back to the customer he was trying to make a sale with. He refused to give me a refund, and told me maybe the warehouse done something with it so apparently it’s not even a promise you are going to get the furniture you paid for. I’m disgusted Ashley in Charleston WV is an absolute waste of time and money and has the most disrespectful greedy management I have ever seen!!!!!!!!!!😡

Frank gave design assistance to furnish a smaller space. The furniture I gravitated to initially would have not suited the scale of the rooms so Frank gave advice to maximize space with appropriate and beautiful furnishings. We particularly love the convenience of plugs, lights and USB ports integrated into the tables, nightstand and desk. Also, he assisted in selection of mattresses for our bedroom and guest rooms. It was worth the splurge of the Tempur Pedic in our bedroom!!!

My husband and I visited the Ashley Homestore in Charleston, WV on 8/29/20 to purchase a good bit of furniture. Our salesperson, Matt, greeted us warmly and patiently helped us pick out everything we needed. He was extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable about all categories of items we were purchasing, especially mattresses, but without any high-pressure sales pitch. He then worked with us to get the best price on each item and explained the protection plans available so we could purchase only what we needed. It was an extremely pleasant, stress-free experience. The service here was AWESOME. The sales people let you shop and look around without being on top of you the whole time. We got hooked up with a guy named Ryan in there. Guy had answers to any questions we had, hooked us up with awesome pricing once we found out what we wanted, and gave us some solid info on financing. Overall it was a really pleasant experience and we will be going back for more stuff soon. If you go in, make sure to look this guy up. He was phenomenal!

We had a great experience at this Ashley store! We worked with Elliot the first day we were there. He allowed us to check out their sectional selection and informed us on the different options available for the set up and accessories! We didn't buy one that day but went back and got to work with Frank. He was just as great and worked quickly to get our couch ordered for us. They don't push sales and I appreciate that a lot!
The salesman was very friendly and accommodating. We love the sectional we purchased!!. What we are upset about is that we werent told that our furniture would be delayed an additional week. When the furniture finally came, we called the distribution center and it would be another 2 weeks before delivery to our area. The sales people need to tell people this information. We have now been without furniture for a toral of 8 weeks!!! Wear are not happy about this AT ALL.

Excellent customer service! Pillows for our furniture were inadvertently left off the delivery truck. The delivery guys said to call the store and I thought : well, I’m never getting my pillows! I called the store and they arrived literally the very next day. We love our new furniture. Recommended.

Delivery is the issue. We purchased a new sectional for our sun room over 4 weeks ago. The people in the store was very helpful but when it came to delivery problems just got worse and worse. We now know Ashley doesn't deliver the items you purchase themselves. They subcontract this out two someone else. The day of delivery two guys show up to our home in a enterprise truck and most of the time during the delivery did not even speak English. During the delivery our door frame and wall was damaged by this delivery crew. This was reported to the local store , and forwarded to another third party company Ashley uses and assigned to a claim specialist. Long story short they offered me 80 dollars for my trouble and that was after 4 phone calls and several emails. If anyone has had damages to their home you know how far 80 dollars goes. We will not make any more major purchases from Ashley again.

Very poor delivery service and customer service. I purchased furniture on two different occasions and both orders were damaged. The furniture store blames the warehouse and the warehouse blames the delivery service. Save your time with this company and purchase from a company that offers good furniture and customer service.

I visited the store this evening with my mom to buy new furniture for my house. We had a wonderful sales person, Lois Cadle. I have never been here, but heres 5 free stars!
Bought a $3k bedroom suite in August 2019 and when the furniture was delivered 3 weeks later 4 gentleman came and had the furniture put together and in place within 45 minutes, which I thought was good. Later that evening when we were putting our clothes into the drawers we noticed that every piece of furniture that had drawers were damaged from where they were not put together correctly. Long story short it is now January 11, 2020 and they just came yesterday to replace the furniture after months of calling and calling. Then, I kid you not one of the pieces was not replaced because the replacement was damaged upon delivery. So a bedroom suite that i purchased in August and am still paying for, I haven’t been able to use for at least 5 months now. Ashley is a joke. I will never buy another piece of furniture from them again. They lost my business and I hope they lose yours too.
I will never spend another penny on a piece of Ashley furniture. Five years ago we spent over $5000 on a leather sectional. We purchased the warranty. Our sales lady, Lois, assured us the warranty was excellent. The chaise part of the couch broke a few months ago, the same month the warranty was running out. We called the warranty company and they said it would be covered and they would send someone out to fix it. Ashley doesn’t make the sofa anymore so they couldn’t replace the piece. They never came to even look at it. I called Lois to ask her about having the store refund the money for the warranty since it was pretty obvious the warranty company wasn’t going to fix it. Lois insisted I needed to keep calling the warranty company and have them fix it. After repeated calls over the last few months, our sectional is still broken and completely unusable. So, a $5000+ sofa is trash and the warranty is no good. Ashley does not stand behind their furniture. Lois was very helpful when she was trying to sell that sofa to us, but she sure as heck didn’t give a crap about service after the sell.
I bought a swivel chair. I took it back after having it only two weeks because it pitched forward when you sit in it. They charged me 100.00 re-stocking fee. Two months later I am still waiting on my refund. They gave me every excuse in the book. The salesman put down the wrong address. Beckie told me it was mailed and she was off a week. When she came back it was still laying in outgoing mail. She then said she mailed it personally but didn't send it certified. I called the manager, Charlie got another run around. I told them to stop payment on the check and I would pick it up. Another excuse. So two months later I'm still waiting on a refund. and I was ripped off with re-stocking fee. I will never do business with this Ashley Furniture again. The worst customer service ever

I bought a couch and recliner on November 23rd. The salesman, Lee Miller, told me if I picked something with a certain tag that those were kept in stock. But the one I picked just happened to not be in stock and he said they had several coming in on the 26th and I would get delivery on December 4. December 4th I called the delivery number to hopefully get a timeline when they would be here. The delivery person tells me it won't be in until December 14th. When I told her what Mr. Miller had said, she told me the salesmen don't make delivery appointments. I called the store and left a message that morning but never heard back. I called later in the day and talked to a lady about my problem and she said she would have Mr. Miller call me first thing this morning but surprise surprise his lying ass did not bother to call me. I picked something that was supposed to be in stock because I just moved here from out of state and have no living room furniture so I really need someplace to sit, which I explained to Mr. Miller when I went in. Right now I would love to cancel my order and go someplace else. Definitely won't buy anything else from there.

They talk you into the protection plan, then do not honor it🤬
So in 2016 we got flooded and had to buy a new house. We got a house in Dec of 2017 and started moving in Jan. of 2018. We did most of our shopping at Ashley HomeStore We tried to be smart and purchase good quality while staying within a reasonable price range. We were talked into getting the protection plan as it was supposed to be the best around and cover virtually any damages. Well within a year our dining room table started to peel(as you can see in the picture below). We filed a claim and talked to the salesman we dealt with for the entirety of our furnishing our home. After months we got a reply that they weren’t going to cover anything because it was multiple spots on the table and not a single flaw(how or why this makes sense I will never know). The point of this rant is to say not to trust Ashleyhomestore when they sell you on how good the protection plan is and how it covers virtually all flaws and problems because it doesn’t cover much and just like anything else no matter how non sensical they will try to get out of coverage. My house is now furnished and I don’t have much else to buy but, on the off chance I do have to purchase another house worth of furniture I’ll be taking my business elsewhere. You got us this time Ashley HomeStore but, I won’t get fooled again. Callie Thomas

Needed dining room and living room furniture 2 years ago. I researched Big Sandy, Wells and Ashley. Ashley had high review so I went there in Charleston, picked out furniture. Upon delivery, one of the end tables was dropped, an inside shelf was broken. Instead of delivering a new one, we were asked to call a repairman from Ashley Furniture to repair it. The same table has one short leg, making the table rock. The cushion covers on Both the couch and the loveseat twist around cushion creating an ugly seating area. The studs around the bottom of each come out at random times for no reason. There are loose staples securing materials under cushions that I have injured my hands many times. My husband and I had hoped this would be the last furniture we would need to buy in quite some time but the workmanship on what we got from Ashley furniture is so bad and ugly, we have no option other than replacing as soon as possible. We are so disappointed thinking we were getting quality furniture. Stay away from Ashley furniture.

Horrible experience!!!!! Went in to the Charleston South Ridge store to purchase sofa and a king size mattress...Earl Hurd was the salesman. For well over and hour he attempted to sell us a $4000 mattress that we clearly told him was out of our budget. Told us there was a 20% discount for getting our assessment. Then we purchased a king size mattress, sofa and recliner for 36 months same as cash... surprise...had to pay $300 down... wasn’t able to... then $200 down...then $150 to deliver it when I live 20 minutes from the store.... was supposed to got a free gift... got a gift certificate for future purchase. Then went to pick it all up a week later and the mattress is ROLLED UP in a box.... I can’t imagine that the mattress I laid on in the store could be rolled up a put into a box...$900 for a mattress that’s rolled up and fits in a box... 1st and last time Ashley Furniture

⚠️⚠️CAUTION!!! Don’t buy anything you want to last from Ashley Furniture!! I bought (what appeared anyway) this beautiful farmhouse style king bed less than 6 months ago and it’s already broke!! Made of very cheap fake wood- no wonder!! So disappointed that I paid this much for a bed that doesn’t even last a year- yet alone 6 months. I was laying in it last night and suddenly it just went “POP” and next thing I know I was laying on the floor- along with cuts/scratches. WASTE OF MONEY!! I’ve even attached pictures of the busted wooden rails that snapped in half. 😡😡VERY UNHAPPY CUSTOMER !!! Steer clear of this place- they put big price tags on their merchandise but I guarantee you the furniture at Big Lots is probably made better than this cheap junk. I won’t hold my breath on a call from someone to resolve the issue and set it right based on nearly 100 negative reviews on their main store page from other unhappy customers also dealing with broken furniture and poor customer service. AWFUL!!! 👎👎

We had a great experience at this location in south charleston, everyone there was very friendly and they all work together. We had a salesman named Darrell and he was wonderful! He explained to us the process of picking furniture. He suggested that we sit, lay and relax on each piece as we would in our home. He also suggested that we bring out vinyl planks in the store so we can see the full picture between the flooring and our furniture. I never would have thought to do that. We have our couch in our home and we love it! We recommend Darrell to anyone shopping in the Southridge location. He has a lot of patience and experience. We again thank you Darrell and love the friendly staff at this location!
I purchased my last Living Room set from Ashley Furniture approximately 15 years ago, which I truly loved. So when I was ready for a change and purchased my new living room set the first place I went to was Ashley Furniture. I went to several other Furniture stores also to look at what was available as I honestly did not have a set mind on what I truly wanted. In the end I decided on a leather set, and due to the Quality, Color, and Price, I ended back at Ashley Furniture for my new living room set. I am very satisfied with my purchase and look forward to getting 15 years out of it also.

It's a wonderful story
My 75 year old Mother, placed an order via Kiosk. After waiting weeks longer than what was promised, delivery was made. But, was not what my Mother had ordered. One piece was damaged. She went back to your location and was told she would be charged a re-stocking fee. The manager told her it was pretty much her fault that she received the wrong items, because, when you use the Kiosk, that sometimes happens! Whaaaaat! Shame on you for taking money from a hard working woman for a mistake that was obviously a problem you have had before with the Kiosk. Did you explain that to your customers when they used the Kiosk? You stole 440.00 dollars from my Mother. You just took it from her! Shameful! How can you sleep at night? The mistake was not made by my Mother, it was made by your store. I would never recommend to. Anyone to shop at this store. Terrible to treat someone like that! Shame on You, Mister Manager!

We paid over $1,800 for a couch was told the day we bought it that it would be about 2-3 weeks because they had to order it. Now we are being told it’s going to be the end of April before it’s even delivered to the store! I will never do business with this company again and will stick with Big Sandy!

Do NOT shop here. I bought some furniture and the salesperson told me they would be having a BIG sale the next day and to check back then and price would be better. I did and the price was the same. I asked about it and she did some &"calculating&" and reduced the price slightly. I ordered furniture. In one week I get an email showing the item I ordered was significantly reduced. I called to talk to my salesperson and did not get a call back and store &"was not taking calls at this time.&" I went in personally and salesperson would not match the lower price advertised on the Internet on the very same item. I asked to speak to manager and &"told he was with people&" and couldn&'t see me. The bottom line is this furniture had 3 different prices in one week!!! Stop playing fast and loose with your prices- give people some decent customer service and honor low price matching like every other store does!!! Do not buy furniture here! Horrible experience- you have lost a long term me customer!!!

Worst sales Experience ever. They offered no good deals. I spent almost 3 hours there just to Finalize the payments. because the sales rep and cashier couldn't work out the payment options. After I got a 2500$ credit card the cashier charged the full amount to my debit card twice(to cover the deposit) because she messed it up.
I came in to try to find a table that I had been trying to order another company I was having problems I came in told her lady what I was looking for and we found it it was very easy and all we'll come back for any other Furniture needs we may have really good store really nice staff and very helpful will be back most definitely

I will have to change my review I wrote years ago. I went back to Ashley two weeks ago because I've had good experiences previously, so why I would expect this one to be different right? Well, it was, I went looking for a specific item. I was greeted at the door by a salesman who appeared to be happy to assist. He showed me a few items and before I knew I found exactly what I wanted, color, size, it was perfect for what I wanted. And bonus it was on clearance! So I asked when I could have it delivered to which he responded "if it's on clearance we don't deliver because it's in the store and they would have to come from the warehouse to get it." What?? He then said if it's in our other store they could deliver it because they would have to get from the other store. Didn't make sense to me either. Anyway, he said they didn't have it at the other store but they had three there. That didn't help me any. So I left without a purchase. For someone who works off commission I would have thought they would have found a way to make the guaranteed sale but NOPE! I left but the more I thought about the madder I got. So I called back to speak to the manager to ask about this "policy." Two phone calls later he called back. HIS explanation was they couldn't deliver it because it was a clearance item and they didn't want to risk damaging it. Completely different from what the sales person said. Then he told me I could hire a moving company to move for me! REALLY?? So this clearance item is become more expensive by the minute. Then he says (as If I'm some bonehead) would I want to risk them moving it and have it damaged. Well of course not, however, isn't moving furniture their job?? So why would it get damaged if they moved it from the store or the warehouse? I was confused. I asked again, they are willing to forego a sale because for whatever reason, because now we have two different reasons, they won't deliver this piece of furniture. Since I don't have the piece, the answer was yes. I told the manage that would be the last time I would be coming back to this store again. To which he said he would hate to lose me as a customer over something so trivial. I'm not sure what has happened to customer service these days but it is not what it used to be. But Ashley furniture has lost a customer forever. I will NOT be going back. If I could give a rating less than one I would.
