Purchased two chairs that I made very clear to Julia that I would be picking up only to see on my receipt the following day that I'd been charged a delivery fee. When I asked the cost of the protection plan that they were aggressively trying to push on me, I was told $100 which, technically, is not a lie but, most likely, was intentionally deceptive given that they work on commission. It is $100 PER ITEM which was never once made clear. The store manager never apologized when I explained what had happened but instead tried to blame ME for not looking more closely at the receipt - which may be true but it is very poor form when it comes to customer service. He did state that both fees would be refunded. I spoke with Julia who is the one responsible for this mess - no apology. The $200 protection plan fee was refunded within a few days. Two weeks later, I still haven't received the refund for the $130 delivery fee. I've called the store three times but have never heard back from Sam, the store manager. I shouldn't have to beg for you to correct the mistake that YOU made. No doubt they'll think that I'm the one being difficult. Here's a tip for you, however: be completely transparent/honest with your customers throughout the buying process and, when things happen that need corrected, do what you say you're going to do and there will be no disgruntled customers. Today's plan: 1. Find out who Sam answers to and 2. Cancel the order entirely. All you had to do was refund the delivery fee. UPDATE: Just spoke to Sam again who claims that in the original call to him that I did not mention wanting the delivery fee refunded. Why would I be ok with paying for a service that I had no intention of using? The day I ordered the chairs Julia handed me a slip of paper with directions to the warehouse. So it WAS clear in store that I requested pick up not delivery and, hence, the original call was SOLEY about getting the delivery charge refunded. I just happened to mention during that call that I wasn't pleased with how the protection plan scenario played out and he said, "So, you want that refunded, too?!" I didn't even know at the time I made that initial call that having that refunded was as option until he mentioned it! I've now asked for the order to be canceled. Let's see how many phone calls it takes to make that happen.

He listened very well and presented me with options that specifically catered to my needs. Great financing options so here and no pressure just a pleasant experience. Thank you. I ordered furniture on August 2, and as of now — over two months later — I still haven’t received it. I’ve called multiple times, left several messages, and every time I’ve gotten nothing but the runaround and empty promises. Out of complete frustration, I had to drive over an hour to the store just to get an update, only to find out that the furniture had just come in today and they now need to “schedule delivery.” After weeks of waiting, that’s unacceptable. To make things worse, I was offered a $50 credit for all the inconvenience — which honestly feels like an insult considering the wasted time, lack of communication, and poor customer service I’ve experienced. I would never recommend this location to anyone. If you value your time or expect even basic communication, look elsewhere.

Pushy LYING salesperson with "fluctuating" pricing. I was told the advertised prices would change the next day. He even pointed out the Bold printing on the price sheet saying they were on some big sale that just so happened to be extended thru mid week from the previous weekend, and the sale was ending that day in hours, BUT they were the same numbers that were there 3 weeks before. LIE #1. I then made the mistake of saying my max $ budget (price listed online from manufacturer), which he said he would definitely get the price way under it...but yet he had to ask the manager and finagle with numbers to get down to the manufacturer listed price (the origional "sale" price was several hundred more than the price listed online directly thru the manufacturer). Next he said that it would have to be ordered and no one would have them in stock. He knew this because of his YEARS in the business and he would get it the fastest. LIE #2. I got it that night at another store without ordering with no price haggling no BS no pressure and it was cheaper than on the manufacturer website. I Dont go to a brick and mortar store and pay a someone's commission for them to order something that I can order it myself. I go to a store to get something TODAY

Purchased sofa, loveseat and end table from Ashley Clarksburg on July 1,2025 with an estimate delivery of July 8. My wife call on July 11, July 16 and July 24 each time they stated it’s on the way from Pennsylvania. On July 24 they stated they had until July 31? My wife called July 31 they state a manager would call us tomorrow. We ask way does a manager need to call we just wanted to know what the status on our furniture. The male associate put us on hold, then a female associate (believe her name is Susan Jones) she again stated we had to wait until the manager called us. We said we just wanted an update on our furniture. She refused to give us this information. We asked again about the order and she stated it was in route from the warehouse, we stated for 4 weeks? My wife asked several times for her and she refused. The this point my wife requested the order be cancelled she said she would cancel the order. My wife again ask for name to ensure the order would be cancelled she would not give us her name. She then hung up. We have purchased furniture from Ashley over 29 years in several different states and never had the experience anything like this Ashley’s. Never again will we ever step foot in another Ashley’s.

I bought a couch from Ashley’s furniture on Dec. 28th of 2023 from the Emily Dr. store in Clarksburg. The price tag said it is $1,500 and some change. I paid a total of 2, 100 and some change. I wanted to finance, the salesman said sure but them they put it on a credit card. So now, I have a credit card I do not want. Is this what you call financing? The estimated delivery is 4-6 weeks. The salesman told me “I can get you this couch at a MUCH cheaper price.” This was a lie, he did not, I paid FULL price. Also, he said, “it will be delivered before the 4 weeks are up!” This was also a lie. During the 6th week when I did not hear from anyone from Ashley’s furniture, I called them on a Monday. They told me the couch has not made it to their warehouse yet. I waiting a couple of days to call back on Wednesday only to be told “Oh, we have been trying to call you all week and have already called several times but could not get a hold of you. We could not leave a message because your phone is not accepting messages.” This was also a lie since I have a cell phone and not a land line. I can tell if I had a missed call or not and my phone accepts messages from everyone else just fine. When the couch FINALLY is delivered, it was sinking in the middle within a WEEK! The couch is sinking in in the middle and is not comfortable to sit on at all. I had to call them back YET AGAIN. They send out a “couch technician”. LMAO! What does this tell you if you have to have a tech for your cheap couch? Insta-trash products that are expensive. The tech came out and confirmed that the cushions are collapsing. Now, I have to wait on them to get back to me is what I was told when the tech was done. Hopefully, he will actually call me and I am not going to have to call them again and beg and nag for them to do their job and fix their cheap product. Thanks for nothing, HUGE regret buying from you. Also, my first payment is in 2 weeks and I still DO NOT HAVE A COUCH TO SIT ON BECAUSE IT IS SINKING IN!

11-18-23: Joni was very helpful and courteous. I've recommended her and this store to family and friends. 12-12-23: Well the originally promised delivery date has come and gone. I'm now told the order will not ship until 12-20-23, making its arrival the following week. We'll see... No back order or availability stories, just haven't taken the trouble to actually ship an order a month after having to pre-pay for it. Well my order arrived on 12-20-23. Picked it up and my wife was very pleased. Moral of the story: It will take 1 month after you prepay to get your merchandise.

We purchased furniture in August of 2021. When purchasing they told us there was a warranty that covered EVERYTHING except if animals chewed on your furniture. We had an issue with the frame breaking on our recliner less than a month after delivery. They came and got it and fixed it. They told us it’s a common issue that they fix a lot,they aren’t built well. We now have the same issue on our couch recliner. I called today to have it fixed and was told they don’t cover the frames! All to our surprise because we were told it covered everything!!! I’ve been tossed between service that told me I’d have to pay for an appointment and services to have it fixed. The warranty department that told me to make sure we didn’t try to fix it our selves or the warranty would be VOID! The part that needs fixed is sewed so we can’t access it anyways. We paid a lot of money for a warranty that we can’t even use. I won’t be back to purchase from Ashley again and will let everyone know that they don’t stand by their word. Also the manager of the store we purchased(Clarksburg WV) from also can’t be located to speak with me. I am extremely dissatisfied and will be contacting further ups in the company to see why the warranty promised isn’t what customers actually receive!

I came in 30 minutes before the store closed with the intent of hopefully purchasing a new mattress. It was so late that I was just going to try out a few and get an idea of what I like so I could come back at a later date. Steve showed me the mattresses and took time to explain things to me like the advantages of certain materials, how the adjustable frames work, etc. He told me about financing options and never once did he try to rush me out of the store. He waited patiently for me to choose a bed and took care of financing, always calculating payments and total pricing every time I tried out a mattress that I thought I would be interested in. Before I knew it, it was 30 minutes after closing by the time I decided on every single thing I wanted. He checked stock on the things I wanted and was able to schedule for delivery to be 2 days later! I cannot wait to get my new bed! Thank you, Steve! You were great and I really appreciate that you stayed after closing to help me out.

My husband and I went in to Ashley because we had a problem with a mattress we had bought 3 years ago. Adam was very helpful with that and with getting someone out to our house to inspect the problem. We were approved to get a new mattress which was great! While we were there we decided to look at bar stools. Adam showed us what they had and we picked the ones we wanted. After we got home we changed our mind and decided to go with another style so we called Adam and he said it was no problem so he changed the order. Well, they were cloth and with a small grand son I decided it might not work out so again we called Adam. He was more than happy to change the order once again for us! Do not and I repeat do not buy furniture here!!! I ordered a bed and was told it would be here in 2-3 months. It ended up being approximately 6 months. Every other week it was a different excuse. When I finally had enough and told them I was going to ask for my money beck and cancel the order, magically they admitted that part of the bed was in the warehouse and the remaining pieces would be there with in a couple of days (which they were). Never ever again. Worst experience ever.

I was looking for a new mattress and box spring and when I entered the store no one greeted me. I did a long walk through of the store and still no one greeted me. Then I laid on a couple of beds and still no sales person. Then I took the long way back toward front door and passed 3 sales persons chatting and giggling and still sitting in their chairs with cell phones in hand. It was at this time one of them finally asked me if I needed any assistance. Seriously? Needless to say, I drove to Jack’s Furniture and dropped cold hard cash on a new bed. The customer service at Jack’s Furniture was beyond excellent! Don’t waste your time at Ashley Furniture.

We purchased an entertainment center and a dining room set in July of 2021. It was supposed to be delivered by October. October came and went and no call or delivery. We called the store and spoke to our salesman, he said it had to be pushed back. Our entertainment center was delivered in late November.. with a shelf that was cracked on delivery. Still no word on our dining room set. We had to call and ask because no one was calling us to keep us updated. The date kept getting pushed back. I called and threatened to cancel our order... I was assured it would be delivered within a few weeks. The chairs came in first and we were waiting on the table. I gave them a specific date and said if it wasn't all there by February 22, to cancel it. The entire set was delivered February 21st. Today is the 28th and I just discovered a gigantic Crack in the edge of the table. I called and now we have to have a service call for someone to come look at it. This has been a terrible experience. The only helpful person in this has been Josh, who I believe is a manager and not our original salesman who was less than helpful.

I went to pick out a lift chair for my ailing father in law. He is very particular about many measurements on the chair but is unable to get out of the house because he is too weak. Josh was our sales associate and he was so kind, patient, and helpful. He sat in different chairs in different positions so I could take pictures at each stage. I then took the pictures to show my father in law and he had me call in to ask Josh more questions about measurements for the chair. Josh went above and beyond for my family. I ordered 2 items and paid for them in oct. The bed arrived in Dec and noone called to tell me it was at the warehouse. It is now March and still waiting on 2nd item. Not sure if I will ever get it.

Sales representative was nice and forth coming with information, but they say they are out 7-9weeks well I was just informed that I will not be receiving my furniture for an additional 3 weeks so if you are looking to get furniture in a timely manner (especially when moving into a new home) I would recommend trying else where !!! Disappointed!!!!!!!!
They have a nice selection of furniture. We ordered a bedroom set, which we were told would take 10-12 weeks to come in. The sales staff are helpful and friendly. Slow delivery times are a result of Covid 19, I'm sure.

Never will buy offline from this store again. My fiance and I bought a new bed approximately 2 1/2 months ago and still haven't enjoyed our new purchase. As each part of the bed was shipped separately it took about a month to receive. Once we went to put the bed together realized the entire hardware pack was missing for the rails. After repeated calls to the online department (bc my first visit to the store they said if they ordered the pack from there warehouse I'd be charged for them) no contact was made. I've sent email after email to the customer service also, no response. I gave in and went back to the store (spoke to more professional salesperson) they ordered the pack and said the charge might be dismissed. This took a day shy of three weeks to receive. Though the charge for them was taken off thanks to Mike at the warehouse. We got home put the parts on and realized now we only have ONE metal slat instead of three. Now I have a queen bedframe set up but my mattress still on the floor with nowhere to move in the bedroom. We called Mike again and he is getting the parts yet again ordered. If it wasn't for Mike I don't know where we'd be. This whole process has been a hassle of anxiety and absolute awful service from the online customer service. Mike is very much appreciated and grateful he was the only one willing to help us fix this mess.

Updated for 6/6/2020 Google reviews wouldn’t let me create a second review, so I just updated our existing one. We went back for the loveseat to match the rest of our living room. Chris was awesome again! He adheres to CDC guidelines for wearing a face mask. As someone with immunocompromised family members, it is much appreciated that he takes the guidelines seriously.

purchased furniture almost 6 weeks ago & still do not have furniture. Have had to call to get updates on order, have not received 1 phone call from sales team to let me know anything. Delivery was supposed to be setup for 4-4-19, so I called to confirm with distribution just to find out I’m not even on the list for delivery. Not happy with sales team or management after date of purchase. Hopefully I receive my furniture soon...

She explained everything to us in a very detailed manner and made sure we understood our Options. That’s the only furniture store I’ll be shopping at from now on. My fiance and I just purchased our first home and decided to checkout Ashley furniture, this wasnt our first trip to Ashley but we delt with Matt and Steven for the the furniture we had picked out and they went out of their way to make the process easy and quick not to mention the amazing deals they were able to give us. In our experience we were able to purchase more than 10k worth of furniture for the entire house for less than $6500. Buyer beware! They delivered the wrong recliners (that we sent back upon attempted delivery) , no bolts for our table that sat on our floor in 5 different pieces for 3 weeks, but went ahead and charged us for the entire purchase. There were many other problems along the way but I don't think they are all worth mentioning, except don't expect any phones calls or updates- you have to cancel your order for anyone to care. I would add that if you don't like your mattress in the 30 days they will charge you a restocking fee of 20% plus a delivery fee to come back and pick it up, even if you're told you have a 30 night sleep guarantee for said mattress... So be very careful selecting a bed.

My fiancé and I went to Ashley furniture in Clarksburg, WV on Saturday 9/29/18. We weren’t really sure exactly what we wanted but we had a good idea of color schemes and fabric material. Abby came and greeted us and helped us find exactly what we were looking for! She didn’t pressure us to buy, but she gave us just the right amount of guidance to make a good purchase. We ended up buying a couch, love seat, and recliner. We cannot wait for the couch and loveseat to arrive! I highly recommend shopping there with her if you’re looking to purchase furniture in the Clarksburg, WV area.

Our relation ship has been one of ups and downs hopefully after today will be all ups and no downs. I was assisted by Britaney and she has been wonderful. After today I hope that really soon I will be able to get my sofa and recliner and things will be really good. Open till now it's been up-and-down because the furniture of wanted in couldn't get and it was just a mess but I think she's taken very good care of being M I'm hoping that I'll be able to receive my furniture without any more problems

What a wonderful experience I had! I was visiting my family from out of town and had been looking for lamps. We stopped in to take a look around at Ashley Furniture in Bridgeport and Claudia asked to assist us. What a genuine, pleasant, and lovely person she is. Not only did I find table lamps and a floor lamp at 30% off, but enjoyed my shopping experience so much that I would certainly come back there and shop again. If you happen to shop there, you should ask for Claudia. Not only is she sweet, nice, and a joy to work with, she was not pushy and managed to handle 3 difference customers at once, keeping all 3 happy and making the sales.

Our Salesperson, Angel was extremely helpful. She worked with us even though we (wife) made changes. We went in with Financing already arranged, but it was not sufficient for what we wanted. Angel had us on the phone with two creditors and they stepped up for us. The furniture is beautiful, especially the bedroom set. We decided to get the best we could and now that our furniture has been delivered, it was well worth it. We were updated and notified all throughout the process. The delivery guys were Outstanding. We love our furniture and we love Ashley!
